c!tommy and wearing beat up sneakers for such a long time. like five years or something. They’re beat up and duct taped but he doesn’t get rid of them. They’re stained with his own blood and covered in mud, the sole is separating from the rest of the shoe, but he’s okay with it. He’s used to them anyway.
Something about him treasuring things even when they’ve lost their original glory…something about c!tommy loving the unloveable unloved.
theyre red converse too btw

Hello! Can we please get a Drabble of c!Wilbur(any Wilbur is okay) ignoring a fem!reader because of something(idk u can decide) and she gets his attention by pressing her chest against him and he gets flustered? Ik u don’t write nsfw so I didn’t have any intention of this seeming like a nsfw request, so if you feel this is too much pls ignore it! ❤️❤️

Yes, the cannon hurt. It’s not hard to admit. It’s a weapon of mass destruction, not to mention one that’s meant to be operated by two people. So yes, it hurt when the recoil slammed back into your shoulder during your desperate attempt to hold it in place. Which is why your commanding officer is totally overreacting.
“Wil says he might put you on probation.”
Tommy sits with you in the small barracks of the safe house. He’s got a fresh set of bandages and a small ration of mushroom stew, no doubt stolen from the kitchen.
“Oh, come on! A little fracture in my clavicle and a slightly dislocated shoulder? Please, he’s done way worse than me before.” And it’s true. You can’t count the number of times Wilbur’s thrown himself at death for this country, for the future he wants to create.
But the way he’d been during the aftermath of the battle left you more shellshocked than the scorched terrain you fought on. The force behind the canon left you dazed on the ground, only able to see where Dream’s safehold was crumbling from your well placed projectile.
The throbbing in your shoulder brought you to eventually. Heavy lids lifting to reveal Wilbur, the haze of gunpowder circling around his curls like a halo. His words were far less angelic.
“What the hell is wrong with you! You could’ve been killed!” You almost wish you had with the way his voice splits through your ears. For the way he has with words you sometimes wish he used less of them.
Two days later and it seems like your wish was granted. Wilbur’s yet to talk to you and it doesn’t look like he’s coming around anytime soon. You’ve all but made a full recovery since the battle, what with the steady supply of healing potions from Niki.
Finally released from bedrest, you were back to scheming how to get Wilbur to notice you so you could clear the air, i.e. get him to realize he’s being ridiculous. His heavy footsteps passing by your door are the perfect opportunity.
“Yoohoo! Captain! Where are you running off too?” He barely pauses at the sound of your voice, continuing down the cramped hallway as you run to catch up to him.
He won’t even look at you as you follow beside him, though the plan you came up with was sure to get his attention.
“Listen, I know you said I’m suspended or whatever, but I saw the new uniform order and I need one.” The getup you currently sported was the same you wore during the battle, looking beyond worse for wear.
“You’re not getting a new one. You’re not an active soldier.” The first thing he’s said since the fight ended and he’s scolding you once again. Luckily for you, while Wilbur can act tough, he’s way too transparent when it comes to his emotions.
Stepping in front of him, causing him to stop, you frown at his words. Walking him back against a wall, surprisingly easy as Wilbur seems to be avoiding the whole interaction. “You really want me walking around post in this?” You press yourself against him to draw his attention.
Your uniform, if you can still call it that, is in total disarray. The seams that connect the front piece to the shoulder have been ripped open by the impact of the canon. The cravat that would cover your chest was too singed by the ignition to salvage, leaving you more exposed than appropriate for an officer such as yourself.
He barely tries to hide the way his face burns as he gulps and awkwardly tries to shuffle away. Clearing his throat, he manages to sidestep you. “Fine, you’ll get a new uniform.” He looks at you for a second before glancing away, clearly embarrassed for staring once again.
“Follow me.” That’s the closest you’ll get to an apology, but you might be able to forgive him with the way his blush dusts the tips of his ears.

3, 5, 14, and 17 for the character ask game!! OH and I need to choose a character. Umm either Ghostbur or Phil (that's a person, right? I'm pretty sure it is but I don't know for sure)
Hello, friend! And yes, both of those guys are characters :D I shall answer for both of them!!
Ghostbur
Obscure headcanon
Hmm… this is a good question for Ghostbur :0 He’s a very obscure man.
He collects books! But not just history books (which he canonically reads) but all sorts of books; ancient books, religious texts, poem books, psalms, series, novels, fiction, non-fiction, short stories, fables, and on and on and on!
No one really knows where he gets them all lol
Best personality trait
EEEEEEEE
SO MANY!!! BUT FOR THE SAKE OF THE LENGTH OF THIS POST I SHALL ONLY FOCUS ON ONE!!!
His compassion and care for people :) No matter what the situation was, Ghostbur always paid attention to the well-being of others, and tried to help them as much as he possibly could.
That’s why he visited Tommy so much during Exile, and kept him company and gifted him the compass.
That’s why he gave Blue to almost everyone he came across, in an effort to make them less sad.
That’s why Ghostbur encouraged Tubbo, and told him that he was doing great :)
Like… okay, I could go on and on about this alsgajfsjafsgs but his care for others is near-unmatched, and it’s very sweet :’)
Most heroic moment
REEEEEEEEEEEE
I think that confronting Phil after Doomsday was pretty brave of him—and goodness, was Ghostbur scared. He was so very scared, but he talked anyway, and he let himself be open and honest and raw, and even though Phil didn’t do the greatest job with responding, I still think that Ghostbur was very brave, then :’) I freaking love that scene.
OH AND ALSO WHEN DREAM WAS LOOKING FOR TOMMY!!! And Ghostbur did his very best to lie in order to protect Tommy 😭 It was sksgajsgajfshaf it was so wholesome, it was so adorable my goodness that scene is the greatest ajdgsjsgajgshg
Quotes, songs, poems, etc. that I associate with them
:)))
Well. I um. I have a playlist. For Ghostbur. It is twenty-three hours long.
SO THERE’S THAT!!! But to name a few specific songs, I’d go with…
Married Life - Michael Giacchino
The Secret Place (acoustic) - Phil Wickham
Taking Care Of Things by Cavetown
Turning Out by AJR
Phil
Obscure headcanon
HE DRINKS TEA BOILING HOT. LIKE. I’M TALKING AS SOON AS IT’S OFF THE KETTLE, HE STARTS DRINKING. DOES NOT WAIT FOR IT TO COOL DOWN. DOES NOT BLOW THE STEAM AWAY. JUST STARTS DRINKING.
It’s mortifying.
Best personality trait
Aww :D
He’s a very steady guy; he’s not super emotional or conflicted, and rather chooses something and sticks with that something, whether it’s a person or a cause.
And goodness, does he care about the people he chooses! He’s such a sweet and kind guy, especially towards Techno and Wilbur (after Wilbur was revived). His love for those two is awesome :)
Most heroic moment
Hmm… okay, let me think on this for a minute.
Honestly? Doomsday comes to mind. Which is weird for me, because I definitely don’t agree with Phil’s actions when it came to Doomsday—in fact, me and a friend had a whole argument about it, which lasted forty minutes! It was great lol
But, while I disagree with Phil’s opinions and decisions when it comes to Doomsday, I do understand him. I understand his dislike of L’manburg, because to him, L’manburg is what took away his son, and L’manburg is what hurt Techno, and L’manburg is what changed Tubbo, and L’manburg caused so many problems and is not worth the pain that went with it. At least, that’s what Phil believed.
And I get it! I really honestly get it! I don’t agree with it, but I get it!
And like one of my friends said, Phil was willing to be the one that everyone hated by blowing up L’manburg; he was willing to be the bad guy. He was willing to be seen as evil or a traitor, as long as it meant that L’manburg was gone and that no more awful things could happen because of L’manburg existing. Phil was willing to be the bad guy if it meant he was “doing the right thing”.
And I think that’s brave. I don’t necessarily think it was right, but I do think it was brave.
So probably that :)
Quotes, songs, poems, etc. that I associate with them
EYYYYYYY :D
Here’s a few songs that make me think of this birb guy <3
Icarus - Bastille
Flying - Cody Fry
The Star-Spangled Banner - Chase Holfelder
creature - half alive

No idea what any of this means, but, may I ask if there's a set plot? Or is it more of like a concept that just exists
THANK YOU FOR DARING TO ASK DESPITE KNOWING NOTHING HAHAH i gen appreciate it :]
there’s a plot!!!! and concepts!!!! and a first draft of a first book!!!!! coded started off as a trilogy that has ,, spiralled into a huge universe of standalone books, side-stories, short collections of stories, and prequels/sequels. the main trilogy is what i wanna finish this year though ! (long post ahead)
it started as a retelling of the dream smp l’manburg war actually 😭 but spiralled into a fantasy world because everything i write does that lol — it’s set in a world where the whole universe is made up of code (think like a binary code!) that a certain group of people can delete, alter, or create to change the world in some way. brei (the antagonist) and their sister ilse (the protagonist of trilogy) are the two surviving members of their family, who were essentially the “leaders” of people capable of manipulating the world code !! they protect, guard, and serve as the royal family’s “shadows” — essentially there to give them power that the royal family themselves don’t have.
HOWEVER, there is a growing resentment about how closely guarded the secrets of coding are. a rebel group of coders and non-coders breaks off from the kingdom, declares they’re sharing this knowledge with anyone who joins them. obviously this seems great, but this kind of power is absolutely, and absolute power in the wrong hands corrupts absolutely.
ilse joins the rebels, eager to prove herself and defy her sibling. brei — just called “the shadow” in most of the trilogy — convinces the royal family to fight against the rebels, creating a full scale independence war.
brei has a complicated relationship with coding, and with ryn, who is the head of the rebel camp wonderfall. they know ryn’s intentions are good but also know that she’s delving into “hacking” rather than “coding” — essentially, she’s touching parts of the code that should never be accessed. brei has done the same thing themselves in their youth, and it ended badly. they’re determined to stop ryn spreading the knowledge of hacking to anyone else, but to do that, they have to play the part of the antagonist against their sister and her new rebel friends.
it’s messy, for brei. they love ilse but have such a complicated relationship with her, especially because she hates them for being a typical terrible older sibling. it’s c!diskduo at their most volatile, essentially — but because i’m a huge sucker for character reconciliation, they eventually part ways civilly.
SORRY FOR RAMBLING !! i know most of this is probably incoherent and messy but ill clarify more later. i’m so proud of this series and love it more than i can explain and its evolved so much since i originally began writing. tysm for asking about it you’re my new favourite person ever now

Headcanon Anon here.
The two polls by Cup brought back memories. Lmao.
These takes are so so so so bad….
So, Imma do you a disservice and talk about one of my personal gripes.
L’manburg is xenophobic apparently despite Schlatt being able to become president and Niki being able to join despite being a woman. (And if I recall, women and non-Europeans were not allowed. You know…..as a bit.)
I just. That sure is a take. XD.
OHHHH MY GOD
I saw a post the other day about c!Eret and saying she was in the right for the final control room cause wilbur was oppressive??? like it was a bit please
I’m all for the fact that c!Eret isn’t a villain but neither is Wilbur… like cmon
there are a lot of bad takes and xenophobic lmanberg sure is one of them

I just finished and published this edit! It’s specifically a lore edit of the part of Tubbo’s first VOD after the exile verdict in which Tubbo and Dream played chess! (This is the same VOD as when Tubbo visits Logstedshire with Ghostbur and gets the Your Tommy compass, and talks about New L’Manburg treaties with Dream. I have the rest of it edited down here [link], but cut out most of the chess game because it was long and hard to follow.)
I added an overlay with a diagram of a chess board (made with the chess puzzle editor from the Apronus Online Chess Publishing Project [link]) to make it easier to follow what was going on in the game.
Thank you to this analysis post [link][alternate link, mobile with tags copied] by shrugofgod and dayables for drawing my attention to the characterization and symbolism in this chess match!
Under the cut is a (non-looping) gif of just the chess diagrams of the game.
They set up the board incorrectly, in two different ways, but catch that the white king and queen were swapped relative to the black ones and fix that early in the game. They each get one undo for blunders.

Okay. I can’t believe it’s been months since that part of season 2 and I have to make this post. Tommy wasn’t really exiled. Tommy was, basically, kidnapped. “Hold your phone, Nate!” You will say. “What are you talking about? Are you mad??” I am not. Believe me, I am not. I know that technically he was exiled. I’m not talking about that. Stick with me for a bit. So. Technically, exile in its most simple form is banishment from your country. You aren’t allowed to come back at all but you are, otherwise, free to live anywhere else that will accept you. When Wilbur and Tommy were exiled from L’M... pardon, Manberg, they could have technically gone anywhere in the SMP, could have built an home and just lived there and no one could have said anything about that. Of course it didn’t happen for obvious reasons but even so, Shlatt had literally no saying in what they could do outside Manberg, because the exile was only from that place. When Tommy was exiled at the beginning of the SMP (but they weren’t roleplaying at the time, so take what I'm telling you with a grain of salt), he was technically left there in the wildness with just the instruction to not come back to the SMP.     Now, of course, there are cases where the exiled person is forced to stay in one place only. Napoleon is one of the most famous examples- but bear in mind: it usually happens when, if left free, those people could come back and try to overthrow whoever exiled them. It’s actually a form of imprisonment, mixed with exile. Which is exactly what Dream claimed he was doing: that he was trying to stop Tommy for trying to do what Wilbur had done with Pogtopia (and in part he had been right in fearing so, since he and Techno had started to go on that route after).  However, mind this: Dream had never said anything about that until after Tommy was taken away from New L’Manberg. The terms of the Exile were just... exile. Exile from both New L’Manberg and the Dream SMP lands. Never (and If I’m wrong, I will correct myself, I promise) it was said, both in the first discussion between the cabinet and Dream and later when Tubbo made his decision, that Tommy would have to be stuck in a place, as if he was a prisoner. Never it was said that Dream would check on him and basically force to give him away all his stuff everyday in case he tried “something”. Never it was said that privileges as visits from his friends or access to the Nether could be taken away if Tommy “misbehaved”. Heck, people in New L’Manberg tought that Tommy was fine especially because they didn’t know about all of this! Now, of course everything Dream did was literal abuse, but I’ve seen some post claim that it was Dream just “crossing the lines” but that some things, like the fact that Tommy couldn’t run away from Logstedshire (which he could not do. Tommy was legit scared of being killed from running away from there for a reason. It was before he decided to ally himself with Techno, it was the mere tought of leaving his prison), were actually “rightful rules of the exile”. No. No they weren’t, because they were never discussed before. Because they weren’t what Tubbo had agreed with. Because Tommy was not a prisoner, but Dream’s plan was, of course, still treating him like that. Dream did not abuse someone he was rightly supervising. He wasn’t, as I’ve seen someone saying, doing the same thing Sam’s doing right now, abusing his power as a “guard” for his own motives. Dream tricked L’Manburg in believing Tommy was going to be exiled while he, instead, made himself his captor. Dream found an excuse to be able to take Tommy away freely and to lock him up in something that didn't look like a prison but actually keeping him a prisoner, dictating rules that he had no right to dictate in any way, preventing him from leaving, from contacting people directly, manipulating not only Tommy but everyone around him to try to isolate him as much as possible, deciding what he could have and what he could do. His next plan was actually to put Tommy’s in Pandora’s Vault and even there, he would have no right to do so! Because it wouldn’t have been part of Exile. Because Dream wasn’t part of L’Manberg cabinet, its president, and whatever change in the Exile terms (that were basically non-existent, as all the rules were established by Dream after Tommy was already exiled, like the fact that everyday he had to give Dream his armor) should have been first talked about with Tubbo. But of course, then Tubbo and the others would have never accepted, right? Because those weren’t right rules. That was abuse. Yes, Tommy was exiled. But immediatly after Tubbo’s decision, Dream took him away and basically trapped him both physically and psychologically.  If Tommy had tried to escape, he would have suffered consequences if captured again. If anyone had tried to help Tommy in any way, which actually happened, Dream would have intervened. If Tubbo had decided, as was in his rights, to withdraw Tommy's exile, technically Dream would have had to let Tommy return to L'Manberg and then declare war or build walls or whatever. But 100% he wouldn't have done that. He wouldn't even let him return even if the Exile was officially over. Yes, Tommy was exiled. And then, after mere minutes, he was kidnapped by Dream.  (”But Nate, why is this important? Dream still abused Tommy. What does it change?”  Virtually nothing, yes. Tommy was still traumatized no matter what happened. What it changes, however, is the perception of what Dream did. Because there is a difference, if Dream didn’t even have the power of deciding to take Tommy’s armor away. Because there are people who claims that those rules could have still been applied, if Dream had just been “kinder”. That if Dream had just taken away his weapons without the TNTs, if he had said clearly that he couldn’t have a party because he was exiled instead of manipulating Ghostbur and Tommy about it, then he would have been right. That Dream could have actually stopped people from visiting. No. No, because he didn’t even have that right. Because Tommy wasn’t a prisoner. And Dream had no right, not even a single one. Sam has rights to stop Dream from receiving visitors, no matter if it’s a good or bad decision, because he’s Dream’s guard and Dream’s a prisoner. Dream, in that moment, was nothing to Tommy but his kidnapper.)

The fight between Wilbur and Tommy was a way for Wilbur to test if he’d truly gotten his message of violence as the only achievable means to get things done to Tommy. Because for all he calls them both bad people, he does believe that Tommy is good, and he’d been getting mixed messages that whole stream on Tommy’s thoughts on L’Manburg. He wants to see if someone still believes in it, because he himself has no clue what to believe. But he also wants to convince people, especially Tommy, that he’s right about the world. Immediately post-resurrection, though, he’s a mess. He’s trying to find himself a place in the SMP, (immediately aligning with Las Nevadas, then against it,) and he’s trying to see how his thoughts and ideals mesh with those in general.
He’s always sorta tested his ideals around Tommy, sometimes trying to teach him to agree, sometimes doubting himself and leaning on a ‘good’ person to see if he might be wrong. When it comes to violence as the only way of getting things done, The Pit was in part an attempt at this, (but also a lot of other things,) and so was wanting to blow up Tommy’s L’Manburg, probably. At the Disc War Finale, he asks Tommy how he won without killing Dream - questioning how he’d succeeded at something non-violently, seeing if Tommy still held on to those ideals he’d preached in early L’Manburg. And then,
Wilbur: I see you’ve abandoned my no armour policy since I’ve been gone.”
Tommy: “Yeah, well, you blew up L’Manburg.”
(Resurrected Gentleman, 15:30)
Tommy’s response in specific becomes important later, but this is a moment where Wilbur notices that Tommy is not following along with what he’d said in L’Manburg, for once. A moment where he thinks he has given up on the ideals of pacifism, instead of most other times where he hasn’t. And Tommy says it’s because of his actions. Curious.
After that, they have their conversation about L’Manburg, where Wilbur says he never cared about it. Tommy is obviously upset, and Wilbur backtracks somewhat, but this sends him a mixed message. Tommy no longer follows its rules, but he still cares about it. (Almost like himself.) They speak to Ranboo, Tommy calls him an asshole, Wilbur asks if he thinks he’s cocky - referencing an earlier Tommy quote, towards the beginning of the stream. Tommy escalates the situation, telling him he should be dead, and then:
Tommy: “D’you wanna fight? [punch] D’you wanna fuckin’ fight, then?”
Wilbur: “You wanna fight?” (I’m bad at describing tone, but it’s almost surprised? Very light, as though he’s almost not taking it seriously, but he definitely is.)
(Resurrected Gentleman, 35:45)
Tommy is actually the one to first propose a physical fight, and Wilbur is intrigued by this. As Tommy continues to berate him, he almost seems distracted, and even when Tommy tells him he should be a ghost, he doesn’t react, only lightly saying, “Okay, let’s fight.” He pushes it even as Tommy balks, because of course he didn’t actually want to fight, and so they do, with Wilbur being absolutely pathetic and losing in under five seconds. The whole time, they’re claiming that they’re fighting because “Wilbur is an asshole,” but given that Wilbur accepts that he is and still keeps pushing, it’s clear that it’s about more than that, at least to him.
Tommy: “I don’t care that this is the Holy Land, Wil, alright? Because for the first time, I will break that promise.”
Wilbur: “I appreciate that, Tommy. I appreciate that.”
(Resurrected Gentleman, 37:50)
and
Wilbur: “The fact that I’m alive, means that anything that happens along this line, I’ve won. I’ve already won. I won when I pressed that button. You can spar me as many times as you want for your own personal victories, but in the grand scheme of things, I’ve already won.”
(Resurrected Gentleman, 38:10)
Wilbur appreciates that Tommy specifically broke an oath of non-violence to fight him, and then goes into his speech about how Tommy may have won a fight, but he’s won overall. He’s won by making Tommy physically fight him in the first place.
He mentions the button. He won by getting rid of his country. He thinks he still managed to get rid of Tommy’s L’Manburg, get him to wear armour by having pressed the button (as Tommy said earlier in the stream,) get rid of any last vestige of those thoughts of pacifism. All along, he’s been trying to convince both himself and other people that violence is the only way to get things done. And Tommy, who he has pointed out does do things earlier in this stream, now fights him on one of the few places of safety to win an argument. Yes, Tommy won the battle, but Wilbur thinks he won ideologically.
He thinks he was right all along, and something managed to convince Tommy of this, whether himself, with the TNT, or something/someone else. It’s only after they talk with Quackity that he starts to waver and implies that maybe he wasn’t right about this. Because at the end of that first stream, he goes back to that book, and reads it, and seems pleased that Quackity said he was right. He sought him out. After he saw how Quackity was, he changed, slightly.
And of course, his and Tommy’s feelings are both more complicated than this: Tommy still actually does hold onto those ideals very dearly, and Wilbur does, on some level, wish to go back to them. He wanted to have destroyed it and any remnants of its influence, while still being excited that Tubbo and the others rebuilt it after his death. He misses it in the early days. But for that time, on that stream, Wilbur was certain he’d convinced Tommy that pacifism got you nowhere, and he was happy about it.
He thinks he has won, because he’s gotten Tommy to give up on L’Manburg’s “unachievable” ideals of words over weapons. That was why he goaded the fight: to see if Tommy would actually go through with it. And his victory was that he did.

Technoblade’s purpose in the political narrative of the Dream SMP
I can’t sleep so I decided to finally write the post I’ve been struggling with for literal months, except way more casual because I can’t be bothered anymore and also I’m sleep deprived.
So the thing is: to me the DSMP storyline has always been primarily political, probably because I was introduced to it through Wilbur who was definitely going for political, and also because I’m just generally interested in political narratives right now. Obviously I appreciate the character work and the personal relationship stuff, that’s what makes it more interesting than just dry allegory, but when it comes down to it, this story is about politics to me. So that’s the angle I’m going to approach it from.
Also not to spoil the conclusions here, but I’m an anarchist, that’s my lens.
(Obviously all of this is about rp from here on out unless otherwise specified)
Basically the situation as Techno joins the server is this: L'Manburg exists as an autonomous nation and is de facto independent although not officially recognised by the Dream SMP. The self-appointed president Wilbur Soot decides to hold an election and rig it in order to consolidate his power over the nation he founded and he gets his VP Tommyinnit to join in on the plan. Their scheme fails and they end up voted out instead. The new president, Schlatt, immediately establishes himself as an authoritarian figure and exiles Wilbur and Tommy.
A couple of points on what the election arc demonstrates:
1: the appearance of democracy can be used for distinctly undemocratic purposes.
2: even if the elections aren’t rigged, the electoral system could be massively flawed and end up favouring a party that in fact didn’t have the popular vote
3: even if the winning government (the coalition in this case) has the majority vote, that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll actually act according to the popular will.
4: the supporters of the losing parties basically just have to let the majority overrule their wishes, espcially since apparently L’Manburg doesn’t have an established role for an opposition, yikes. That’s actually a MAJOR oversight in the system but I’m not gonna go into that too much.
5: frankly as an anarchist I am just deeply cynical towards representative democracy, and just because you have a token appearance of choice and consent doesn’t mean that it isn’t a hierarchical and authoritarian system. And to be fair, from my point of view this applies even to so-called liberal democracies and progressive parties. Full disclosure: even if L'Manburg was the ideal example of a representative democracy (which it very much isn’t) I would still be opposed to it because I fundamentally do not believe in top down systems, even electoral ones.
6: despite all these flaws, all the characters seem to implicitly accept the electoral system as legitimate. There’s criticism against the actions of individual characters acting within the system, such as Quackity calling out Wilbur for trying to rig the election, but nobody is questioning the system itself.
So at this point I’m sitting there, watching all this go down, and thinking “man, this would be so much more bearable if there was an anarchist point of view being represented in the story.”
And hey, look who IMMEDIATELY SHOWS UP.
Okay, I’m not gonna lie, early installation Technoblade is not the best representation of anarchism. I was mostly rooting for him out of sheer contrarianism initially. I didn’t really even care if it would be another Killmonger/Magneto/Zaheer situation because I’m used to reading against the authorial intent when it comes to these things. Sometimes any representation is better than no representation, even with political ideologies. That’s not to say that him just straight up spouting this hobbesian notion of a “dog-eat-dog world” didn’t grate on me, obviously it did.
That kind of worldview of humanity needing authority in order to prevent chaos and conflict is literally antithetical to anarchism and is the favourite talking point of authoritarians, the least anarchist people there are. It’s literally what people use to argue AGAINST anarchism. I think it’s mostly because cc!Techno obviously wasn’t particularly educated on anarchist thought and was just basically having fun roleplaying with his friends at this point. Which is frustrating but fair enough I guess.
Cynical ideas about human nature are pretty deeply rooted in the mainstream, unfortunately, most people just consider it common sense. And like I said, it’s a huge talking point in the propaganda against anarchism.
(… even though in fact these arguments were originally used against proponents of representative democracy. Hobbes himself was very much a monarchist, the idea of letting normal people vote for their representatives would have been terrifying to him. Like surely the world would descent into a free-for-all war, all against all. Imagine letting commoners have OPINIONS, the horror.)
So yeah, that stuff was pretty ehhhhh. It was basically what I’d expected though: cc!Techno isn’t an anarchist and we just don’t get accurate representation from non-anarchists, ever. What I dared to hope was that Techno’s character would at least stay consistent about his opposition to ALL governments. I was pretty sure that he would, even though it seemed like the majority of the fandom at the time was convinced that he would switch over to Schlatt’s side or something. It would have been a really shitty twist, I would have ragequit immediately. I mean what would have been the entire point of his character then? He might as well have been a random mercenary. Why even have his character be an anarchist if you were just going to make him work for a government?
(ftr this is kinda my biggest problem with the Hypixel Skyblock revolution event lol, honestly I think that was a worse depiction of anarchism than early DSMP Technoblade. I mean the speech was good, but… still became a government official, tho. booooooooo, cringe)
And yes, I was rooting against L'Manburg, obviously, and I would have even if it had meant having to deal with another badly written anarchist villain character. I never understood why people saw L'Manburg as the good guys, they were nationalist and exclusionary and their whole existence was based on trying to scam people for money.
I mean they were definitely funny, they were great entertainers. I have no problems with people rooting for them because they’re fun to watch; I did that for a bit too. But people were starting to get really into the story and talk about Wilbur and Tommy, the corrupt politicians, and the country that literally excluded people based on nationality as the heroes, unironically, which was wild to me. And when Wilbur started his “villain arc” well: people called it a villain arc, as if he hadn’t been pretty much a bad guy from the beginning, constantly just out for money and power and taking advantage of the people around him and then pretending to be the victim when challenged. I mean yes he got worse, but I wouldn’t call it a villain arc, more like just a mental breakdown arc.
More importantly, to me L'Manburg represented so many things I hate about the status quo in real life, and seeing the fandom mostly unquestioningly accept it as good just pissed me off. Still pisses me off tbh. I mean, to be diplomatic I could say that I understand the emotional attachment and the way L'Manburg was built up mirrors a lot of how real nations are built and how they create a sense of patriotism out of symbols and a sense of honour and loyalty, and it’s actually really fascinating how it even works in a Minecraft roleplay. Says something about the human mind I guess. Doesn’t mean I have to like it though.
Anyway, I just wanted to see literally any kind of opposition to power, even if it had to come from a character that was unquestionably a villain, which I fully assumed Techno would be. Because political narratives so often just leave us out, or at best barely mention us. And even from a narrative point of view, adding an anarchist perspective to a political story just objectively broadens its scope and actually challenges people who are used to only arguing along the lines of conservative or liberal, welfare state or privatization, nationalism or multiculturalism, etc. Even if the original work dealt with it poorly, at least it would give me the excuse to rant about it on Tumblr, which is kinda why I revived my old Minecraft sideblog for this. (That and pig!Techno fanart.)
Also how can you have a story so fundamentally about power without its counterpoint: the rejection of power?
(Yes, Dream SMP as a whole is definitely a narrative about power, it’s a huge theme for Wilbur, Quackity, Dream, Eret and the Badlanders at least, as well as obviously the anarchist characters from the opposite direction.)
So yeah, the build up to November 16th for me was mainly about the anticipation for what Techno would do, how would Techno’s character respond to the seemingly inevitable formation of a new government. THAT was the point of interest for me, that was what I was the most invested in. Would we get an actual anarchist opposition as a new side to the conflict or would they just awkwardly drop that whole angle? Or even have him team up with Schlatt like a complete sellout? There was so much potential but I worried they might just waste it.
And I was right to worry since apparently in the original script Techno wasn’t supposed to do anything, he was just there to help fight Schlatt and witness the explosion along with everyone else.
And WOW that would have been so incredibly boring
Not even just from the political perspective, just talking about the narrative in general terms here: imagine November 16th without Techno’s plot points. Not only would it have been boring for Techno’s character but it would have been equally boring for basically everybody but Wilbur and Philza. An anticlimactic fight followed by a big explosion that pretty much everybody had seen coming already. Yes, the button room scene is dramatic and heartbreaking… for Wilbur and Phil. But nobody else was there to see it. For everybody else, it was just a big explosion. It would have been such a huge disservice to anyone watching the other POVs.
Techno’s intervention gave everyone an ACTUAL climactic fight, it allowed characters other than Wil and Phil to witness some actual drama happening and to participate in it, rather than just waiting around for the explosion, while also foreshadowing the explosion. Even better, it provoked SO MUCH discussion in the fandom AND gave a perfect hook for future conflicts to arise. Wilbur’s end was tragic but it was, at the time, final. L'Manburg would have still suffered a catastrophe but it would have been left with just the same exact antagonist as before: Dream.
And at this point Dream’s core goals had barely changed, just his approach was now different. Yes, that makes a difference for the plot, but it doesn’t really change much in terms of ideological conflict. Especially since there really isn’t that big of an ideological difference between Dream and Tommy, because arguably neither of them are particularly big on ideology in the first place, they just have conflicting goals and use different tactics to achieve those goals (well, the tactics aren’t always even that different *cough Spirit cough*).
Techno’s conflict with Tubbo and especially Quackity (and honestly most of the other characters in general) brings in so much more depth to the story, just by introducing another angle, not to even mention how much it brings to focus questions about power and violence. These are themes that exist in other characters’s storylines too but nowhere in the same way or as central as with Techno.
I’m getting kind of ahead of myself here, though.
The real twist of November 16th was the fact that Techno WASN’T a straight up villain, actually. It was a twist to me anyway, because with all my cynicism I just didn’t see it coming, I didn’t expect him to actually start making reasonable criticisms. I didn’t expect him to drop the hobbesian arguments entirely and start making points that actually sounded like anarchism.
I have to assume that cc!Techno must have seen some of the criticisms of his character and been inspired to adjust because the difference is pretty notable.
(Sidenote: I’m just forever kinda sad that Techno’s “I may seem like the villain here” monologue was cut from the video and most people never heard it.)
And I felt SO validated by the way, because it works so well in the story! Everyone is mostly content with the restoration of a status quo of some sort, Schlatt is gone, this is supposed to be the good ending, and then Techno calls them all out and turns the narrative around completely: This was just a coup d'état. This was just the previous political leadership retaking power by force. Why is everyone celebrating the same exact system that lead to Schlatt’s authoritarian rule in the first place?
What he does there is force the audience to question the narrative they’ve been presented so far, that they’ve accepted without a thought. It might not convince them, but they can’t just ignore it either.
Whatever you wanna say about the discourse around Techno on that day, in the ideological narrative THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Not who betrayed who or when is political violence justified, that’s about personal relationships and morality and it’s mostly all more relevant to the aftermath than the event itself. In my opinion, the REAL point in the moment is that the characters and the audience were comfortable with the ending only to be presented with a completely new perspective on the events.
It also recontextualises the finale, including Wilbur’s actions! It’s a much more ambiguous end to the Pogtopia vs Manburg arc and to Wilbur’s original run as the head writer. Wilbur’s “even with Tubbo in charge I don’t think [that ‘special place’] can exist again” is vague enough to be dismissed as just part of his paranoia and internal conflict, but with Techno, there’s a concrete question: what if Tubbo, given the same powers as Schlatt, will turn out to be just a new Schlatt? And suddenly you have to wonder what Wilbur meant by his words too. And was all this foreshadowing something about L’Manburg’s future?
Okay I’ve only made it to November 16th and there’s so much more DSMP to talk about but the post is getting too long and I’m starting to lose my energy. Will I ever make a part two? No idea. But I’ll try.
Standard disclaimer: I’m not the spokesperson of anarchism, other anarchists might disagree with my reading

Horns: symbol of evil and its subversion
Ok, this will probably be a bit of a mess and not original at all, but listening to Monster by dodie made me think about this and I haven’t stopped for days.
Character design regarding the Dream Smp has fascinated me not only because of the sheer variety but mainly because of the interesting relationship between canon and semi-canon or fanon designs. There are elements that are Explicity canon (visible on the mc skin such as c!Wilbur’s white streak), Verbally canon (stated by characters such as c!Tubbo’s firework scars), Implied canon (referenced or alluded to by characters or ccs such as c!Tommy’s white streak) and fanon.
Horns are something that fit into that picture in an interesting way. I’m going off of memory for a lot of this, so feel free to correct me (also this is my first meta type post, please be gentle). As far as I recall no character has actual horns as part of their mc skin, making the existence or non-existence of character’s horns be an interesting situation. Some characters have stronger allusions to having horns (c!Schlatt) while with others it’s less clear (c!Tubbo and c!Puffy). Ranboo’s vtuber model, which is based on his mc skin, has horns, while the snowglobe version has both horns and a tail. But rather than ponder simply on the canonicity of horns as part of a character design, I want to talk a bit about what characters are visualised by either the cc’s, the community, or both, to have horns, because it is rather compelling in my view.
Horns are traditionally a symbol of strength and aggressiveness, most notably as a sign of evil in the form of the devil. Horns represent not only an Active character but potentially a wicked one whose morality may be questioned.
c!Schlatt (due to cc!Schlatt’s previously established branding) is almost universally presented as having horns, fitting the stereotype of the morally rotten antagonist, even as his strength is largely a show especially near the end of his life. Contrasting that to c!Tubbo who started to be associated with horns especially as he was as President of New L’Manburg. Paralleling to c!Schlatt, the connotations applied to c!Tubbo can be somewhat negative, but it also presents an interesting contrast between the seemingly more active role he takes as a President as opposed to being a right-hand man as part of the Manburg cabinet. It also strengthens the view of c!Tubbo as a threat which is especially realized after the founding of Snowchester.
Interestingly, other characters to which the morally conflicted interpretation of horns can be applied to are c!Ranboo, c!Tommy, and c!Puffy. c!Puffy has played roles meant to positively influence the server (opening a therapy office and wanting to throw Michael a birthday party with a friend just to name a few) but also been drawn to negative actions, sometimes with external influences (griefing the server with c!Dream). For her the horns function more as a symbol of mischief than deep moral decay.
c!Ranboo, while never physically powerful, had not only power in wealth but power in connections, as well as internally and externally struggling with morality. Having a character that was so afraid of being viewed as a traitor have a symbol reminiscent of arguably the ultimate traitor right on his head is so narratively interesting to me!
Now c!Tommy. Unlike the other characters who most frequently are depicted with animal or animal-like horns, c!Tommy has devil horns specifically. Much more eloquent writers than myself have spoken about how the presence of c!Tommy with horns is mostly used as highlighting his mischievous streak but he, too, is a character that struggles with morality, internally and externally. Further, the idea of devil horns as a visual representation of the demonisation c!Tommy experiences is rather compelling to me.
These five characters have many things in common but at least as many differences, especially with how they are viewed in-universe. c!Schlatt is near universally hated. c!Puffy is viewed ambivalently (if at all) while c!Ranboo has a good if shallow reputation. c!Tommy is a polarising character disliked by many and loved fiercely by few. Sometimes by the very same people. And c!Tubbo, formerly beloved, now largely deserted. Secure but alone.
Any character’s could have been viewed as having horns, but prior branding, narrative parallels, and other factors influenced the perception of these five specifically. While not universal, the way characters are portrayed is not only interesting from an analytical perspective. The perception of a striking visual elements such as horns by observers is quite interesting, too. This might not be the most cohesive meta post, but I just had to write it.

This is part 2 of the comprehensive analysis of c!Tommy and c!Dream’s relationship during the Exile Arc
Part 1
So, initially I was thinking of making only one post with only the important quotes from this streams but... yeah, not saying what I think about stuff is not in my blood. So now I’m stuck with this and I’m determined to finish it!
Once again, it’s all about the characters from here on out and I will be mentioning serious themes of abuse and gaslighting, so keep that in mind.
We’re starting this one off with the second proper exile stream: Tommy Is Getting So Much Worse in Exile...
Mushroom Henry is introduced at the beginning of this vod. Initially Tommy doesn’t like him, believing him to be a poor replacement of the real Henry. He then goes towards Tnret and finds it compromised as Lazarbeam had planted some tnt under it the day before during a visit with Vikstar and Technoblade (now, how much of that visit was canon? No one knows! But the tnt part definitely was). Also to be noted that Tommy already stopped fighting back against mobs, which is already rather worrying.
Anyway, this is the stream where Tommy makes an enderchest with Fundy and Ranboo, so I will only write down some of the most notable quotes, and keep it rather brief. It is to be noted that Tommy’s depression at this point had already gotten worse as in the Nether time and time again he avoids doing the haybell mlg instead taking the full fall damage, he defends himself less and he’s already expressing feelings of loneliness. Also, he is now on the first stage of the exile skin set.
“Because if we can’t stay motivated then- then we won’t have anything to do (...) we’re gonna work out how to Keep Doing Things and not... sit around crying” (he has the need to keep busy to stave off loneliness)
“Now everyone, if you should know, we’re gonna go bach and reclaim everything at some point and kill Dream” (talking to chat)
“Music! It’s like a person but they’re not here!” (about Chirp)
“This is like, you know when you fall over? Or you know- or you know when one of your pets die? At school? And then all of a sudden you’re at school and you’re upset and all the people who are usually assholes to you start being nice all of a sudden. This is that!”
This was quite interesting, so I want to talk about it briefly: but this is Tommy’s general mentality. He sees anyone trying to help him or giving him things as just pity from people who don’t actually care nor necessarily even like him. Basically, he feels betrayed and alone and doesn’t actually think that any of this people could possibly care. This however doesn’t seem like a mentality that’s born from exile (since he’s had it since the very beginning of exile) and we don’t actually know where it generated from. Though it could possibly be from the fact that he always had to be very independent since he had to fight in quite a few wars and even take the leading position in the Pogtopia times.
Other note: this is when Ranboo starts leaving letters for Tommy (You can find Tommy and Ranboo's mail exchanges here). At the beginning the chest they used to exchange them was situated on the Nether side of the original portal, which was a ruined portal a bit further away from Tommy’s camp. Also Tommy dies in lava (not canonically) a ton of times in this one and Fundy every times gives him some of his stuff to pretend like nothing got burned (which was kinda adorable).
“Fundy why didn’t you come with me when I got exiled? I was meaning to ask you. ‘Cause no-one came with me” “No-one came with you because it was- *sigh* Tommy I don’t know! It was- it was a shock to all of us” “You could have came with- yeah, but you just let me go. You just let go on me Fundy” “And- and just leave L’Manburg to Tubbo himself? Like all alone?” “No he would have had like literally everyone else on this server” “Like who?” (I just found this exchange interesting)
“I don’t think you’ll like it but Dream is uh, kind of proud of Tubbo. He- he’s actually acknowledging L’Manburg as a new country now” (and this is what the other side of the manipulation looked like from the outside)
“Wait wait! I could talk to the narrator! Then I’d finally have a friend!” (proceeds to start talking to the narrator)
“No no no. No no no Ranboo. Stop- stop complaining. Stop being weird Ranboo. You should be honoured to have a friend that’s close enough that he shoots you” “I don’t think that’s a ‘friend’, I think that’s just an assassin” (Ranboo with the common sense)
“This is where I used to live and then Dream tore it down” “Why did Dream tear it down?” “*sigh* I don’t know”
"Look guys: this is the song of a female astronaut named Clara” (about Chirp)
The vod ends with Tommy and Ghostbur’s attempt at saving Lazarbeam from lava and Ghostbur gifting Tommy the “Your Tubbo” compass.
Moving on: Tommy Is So Lonely in Exile with Dream
This is actually the first stream where Tommy starts off drowning (and he actually dies, yet again, non canonically). Also Puffy gifts him some blue wool, 3 diamonds and his own Christmas tree, specifying that it’s not out of pity so he actually accepts the present.
“We’ve got some things to do. I’m still feeling um... I’m not feeling I AM very very very alone. Just- just so- just lonely all of the time... which isn’t, you know? Isn’t okay. I don’t know why I was at the bottom of the ocean just holding a bone”
Now, a bit to unpack here. In real time by now it had been 3-4 days technically, but in rp it has been specified already multiple times that it had been quite a few days since Tommy got exiled and we don’t really have any reason to believe that he received any more visits then what we’ve seen. Which probably increased his loneliness. Also we don’t have an actual explaination for him waking up drowning, my best guess for it is a mix of him being suicidal and general depression making it hard to get any proper rest (which we know was the case for him since he did mention at one point that he “didn’t sleep anymore”) which could have caused him to start sleepwalking since both “not getting enough sleep” and “stress and anxiety” are listed as causes of it. Now the actual subconcious reason as to why he was going in the sea and letting himself drown is unknown but, again, he was suicidal while in exile.
Also “How to Sex 2″ got burned by Ghostbur, not volountarily of course, he just had it on him when he died in lava.
“I’m too lonely to be angry now, alright? We got to appreciate all the friends that we can get” (about Lazarbeam bringing him a present)
“The compass is nice though! We’ve got a compass that always will point to Tubbo... not that- not that he’d care” (beginning of the doubts about his old friends)
“Tubbo has one too? [referring to the compass] Oh he’ll just- if he’s got one he’s just using it for show... he’s- I’ve accepted that he’s the president now and I’m just- I’m just that guy he had to exile to show how powerful he was” (again, doubts)
Also Tommy makes his first path to Logstedshire in this stream. He also takes a liking to Mushroom Henry here after figuring out he could produce mushroom soup, meaning he actually had a sustainable source of food instead of having to relay mostly on handouts.
“Guys we need some more coal” *Dream joins the game* “...ooooooh no please don’t come and visit me. Please please please” (I’m leaving this here, I believe this reaction speaks for itself)
“Hey! I’m- I’m above right now by the pretty Christmas tree that there is here” “Why are you here?” “I’m visiting you!” “Last time you said that you ruined me” “I- How did I ruin you?” “*sigh* Hi Dream!” “Hello~” “What have you- what” “Where are you at?” “I’m just com- why are you here? Every time you’ve been here you’ve done something destructive” “I- I what- I haven’t done anything destructive... everything’s been fine! I haven’t destroyed anything”
At the time there were a lot of people who were hesitant at calling Dream’s manipulation “gaslighting”, as that is a precise type of manipulation, but this right here? This is an example of gaslighting. Dream destroyed everything Tommy had every time he visited him and they both know this, still what Dream is trying to do here is convince Tommy that that never happened to keep up his friendly facade. Just because he isn’t saying directly “you can’t trust what you remember” doesn’t mean that that’s not exactly what he is implying. To reiterate this point they meet up right after and Dream, once again, blows up Tommy’s armour and diamond sword:
“Hello~ take your armour off” “Why should I take my armour off?” “Um, drop it down here” “No, no! I worked really hard to get this. No!” “Okay... you can get it again!” “No! See this is what I told you about, that you’re destructive to me” “Tommy I’m not destructive... but, listen, you gotta drop it” (...) “No, no! I’m a rebellious teenager. I don’t listen to green punks” *Dream hits Tommy with an axe* “*screams* Okay okay okay okay okay”
Again, Dream hitting Tommy in this case is portrayed as physical abuse. And then Dream goes back to acting as if nothing ever happened, going on to talk about his day, telling Tommy that he knows about the 2 compasses and telling him that Tubbo went over while Tommy wasn’t there and that he is free to visit Tommy, he just hasn’t done it yet (all of this are actually true, but the implication that Tubbo didn’t want to see Tommy obviously isn’t).
“Dream, I think I’ve realized why no-one’s came to see me” “Why’s that?” “It’s because- it’s because there is not an easy way to get to me and I’m gonna make an easy way to get to me today” “I mean, if you boat here, it took me 2 minutes” “No no-one wants to use the boat, it’s too far- it’s too far for people” “Oh you know what Tommy? I’ll do you a favour”
This is when Dream moves Tommy’s portal. Now, one thing that I want to point out is that Dream had already intercepted Ranboo’s and Tommy’s first mail book (we know this because in Ranboo’s message at the beginning of this stream he said that the first one disappeared) so he probably knew that Ranboo was using the secrecy of the further away portal to communicate with Tommy undetected. Of course Dream can’t have that, though he probably didn’t account for Ranboo not giving up that easily.
“Well it’s very awkward considering you exiled me and- and have banished me from being around all of my friends and now are trying to side with me it’s kinda-” “Tommy what’d you mean from all your friends? I’m your friend!” “Yeah... yeah you are” “I am your friend Tommy~” “Yeah I- Yeeeeeah, Dream” (just to clarify: Tommy is not agreeing with Dream here, he is being sarcastic. Also Dream starts harping a bit more on this point from here on out)
“Oh I just witnessed another suicide...” (second time this happens, the first was in the last vod, and he stays staring at the lava for a moment)
Tommy once again trying to push Dream into lava (again similarly to how he did in the first proper exile stream) and Dream just goes along with it (mostly just to flex about how that can’t actually kill him). I consider this couple of times as the first times Tommy started lashing out in exile.
“Health and safety is important Dream! *staring at lava* Is it though?” “Yes, yes it’s important Tommy. It’s not your time to die”
“And then you’re coming over here giving me shit and also burning my shit. You’re just- you’re just a monster” “I didn’t burn any of your shit” “You blew it up! You exploded it! Man you’re ruining my life...” “I blew it up, I didn’t burn it though” (because that makes all the difference of course...)
“Hey man I could jump and you’d be able to do nothing about it and I’d- I’d be done-zo” “I- I ask you please not to” “Okay” “I need you alive and well”
Now I found this interesting when first watching as well, but Dream really did spell it out for us that he actually needed Tommy, huh? Like, in retrospect, what Dream then intended to do in the Season 2 Finale seemed kind of obvious. Also after that They have a discussion about the enderchest, but Tommy gets to keep it. Also Ranboo appears at the portal, though Dream doesn’t manage to see who it is and Ranboo manages to escape before he sees (thanks in part to Tommy distracting Dream). Now I want to point out that, even if outwardly people had the permission to visit Tommy, the fact that everyone was so scared about Dream finding out about it talks volume about how clear that was. Also this is when Dream gives Tommy the general direction of Technoblade’s cabin.
“Look at us go... hey why don’t you just un-exile me, you know? You know?” “*laughs* Well I think that I- I- I think that maybe there is a possibility at least in the- in the future that you could- you could- you know? Get a visitor’s pass...” (notice that he only confirmed a possibility for a visitor’s pass, not for actually going back, Dream literally never meant for Tommy to go back permanently)
Lazarbeam arrives to visit Tommy at this point to gift him Far and a fire resistence potion.
“See I told you! It was because I didn’t have a bridge that nobody was coming to visit me Dream! It wasn’t because it was me” “Yeah it must be...”
“Hey Dream come and listen to this man! [talking about Far]” “I-I’m-” “Hey, promise you won’t- If I get a new disc you wouldn’t mind would you?” “No I wouldn’t” “Okay, come and listen. I trust you now, now we’ve bonded” (Is this the second time Tommy invites Dream to listen to a disc with him?)
At this point Dream pressures Lazarbeam to mug Tommy with him and the whole scene is just pretty weird, but it boils down to Dream blowing Tommy’s armour up (again), while also hitting him a bit more when he doesn’t immediately comply (basically making this humiliating and making Tommy understand that he is not any safer with someone else there). Though Tommy does end up lashing out and killing Lazarbeam (not canonically) and Dream destroys his enderchest in retaliation. After that Tommy does become more submissive, not wanting to get killed. Now I want to point out that that same day Dream had agreed that Tommy could keep his enderchest without any conditions to it, but, of course, Dream’s rules are constantly changing. Dream does leave after that for a bit.
“I put your enderchest back by the way Tommy” “Really?” “Yeah. I just wanted to prevent you from putting his armour in there so... that’s why I broke it” “Thank you! Thank you” “You’re welcome”
Wanna know why this is bullshit? Tommy didn’t even try to go towards the enderchest when he had Lazarbeam’s armour and immediately gave it up at Dream’s request. This is just Dream giving Tommy a “reward” for being compliant after punishing him. Also pointing out the fact that Tommy felt compelled to thank Dream even if Dream was the one who caused the issue he just fixed in the first place. Also Connor arrives as well.
“Yeah you can’t move into my home Connor” “Well I mean, of course he can because it’s not your home because you’re not going back” “What do you mean I’m not going back?” “Well as I said maybe potentially you could get a visitors pass” (reiterating a point from the start)
“Tubbo- Tubbo said that! Tubbo said it [the server] looked so much better since Tommy left. And I was like ‘wait what?’ and he’s like: ‘yeah it could be a coincidence though but I don’t think so'” (you manipulative green bastard)
“I don’t know if you know this but I’ve been constructing a- a uh- a prison and it is ginormous so...” (I did not remember Dream mentioning the prison this early on)
Anyway, the stream ends with Dream stripping for primes and since I need it, I decided that that’s canon.

don't come at me saying only females are allowed to be jades and fuschias; gender is fake and this is an au
more of the AU and the talksprites are under the cut:
Tommy
Tumblr media
Lunar sway: Derse. Types in: Red
chaotic. the first person to be introduced.
when he gets introduced instead of the “Zoosmell Pooplord” bit, Tommy is initially going to be the name inputted but then backspaced it and decided that Tommyinnit was better and he was fuming until he’s named Tommy.
Gives me big Blood/Hope vibes. Blood because a lot of the conflict of the dream smp connected to someone breaking his trust or harming the things he cares about, Hope because a lot of the plot of the dream smp stems from Tommy starting shit based on his ideals and what he thinks is right.
the first to instigate fighting against the trolls
bbh contacts him once and tommy keeps cursing until he disconnects from frustration rip
wields Gunkind and his only strife weapon at the beginning is the Vlog gun. He has Gunkind as his strife specibus mainly because he looked up at schlatt and he imitates him.
Fundy
Tumblr media
Lunar sway: Prospit. Types in: Orange
it was his idea to play SBURB but only through Dream.
he talks to dream the most among the other trolls fwt stans getcha juice this is the rosemary of the session
dream’s the one giving him exposition about the game so that’s how he knows how to play SBURB.
wilbur trolls fundy once and instantly adopts him.
“You’re my son.” “How does that even work??” “I was one of the people who created your universe. It’s basically the same thing.”
Fundy relents anyway.
Techno
Tumblr media
Lunar sway: Derse. Types in: Pink
dave strider but dead-inside voice + rose lalonde english major vibes
he slices the text box when you try to name him "Dave " like in
Tumblr media
techno gives me time player vibes (contantly on the move. his skyblock series, his “stays in the pit” monologue,) but also rage vibes (anarchy,  the “theseus” monologue, political alignment is Chaos) alas i am not sure what class
uses Tridentkind and claims "it came from god"
it was dream, he accidentally transportalized one of wilbur’s weapon while he testing the transportalizer.
Tubbo
Tumblr media
Lunar sway: Prospit. Types in: Green
the jade harley of this session. the only thing keeping them from going apeshit. where would they be without him.
but also jade harley in a sense that he seems nice and wholesome but also don’t fuck with them they can mess you up
Heart/Life vibes??? someone good at classpecting help
i put them in prospit bc of the "tubbo third eye" instead of tubbo having a sixth sense or smth, they see the future from the clouds of skaia when they sleep
wields Stress-relieverKind at some point
bonus: everyone’s actual hair colors

Ideas about the Trolls
no i haven’t done their sprites yet bc it would take so much time and i’m not even sure if people wanna see more of this au skjdkdsakdfkl,, but i have Design Ideas.
events of the dsmp revolution are just a FLARP session drawing parallels to how the homestuck trolls had a FLARP session that spoiler alert: destroyed friendships. dtrio, eret, will are involved. eret betrays will's faction and wilbur's still Bitter over that.
on the context of alternia (highbloods and lowbloods) lmanburg and dreamsmp have their roles SWAPPED.  the emancipation theme thing is completely gone since highbloods are in more power than the lowbloods (the dream team) .
wilbur made a faction called l’manburg because he wants a place where he and his fellow highbloods could make drugs vibe.they take a piece of land that was owned by the dream team. in normal circumstances, they shouldve stood down because lowbloods aren't supposed to start shit with highbloods (especially a group of highbloods that has the alternian heir among them)  but dream turned it into an activism thing about lowblood rights. the story plays as close as possible without tommy or tubbo in it (which is pretty hard ik but this is the best can do).
like in the dreamsmp revolution, dream kinda let wilbur do what he wants but this time he has more reason to because he’s in a lower caste. dream really only fought back when wilbur announced that he’d be building lmanburg on their land and calling it theirs.
eret betrays wilbur by supporting the lowbloods and wilbur and co. technically won but only because he finally called the drones in, as a reference to how lmanburg absolutely got crushed by the dream team in the smp but technically won. l’manburg keeps the piece of land and the dream team scatter away to find a new home.
wilbur soot's a fuschia because a) he's in a position that has a lot of power, b) yknow how he wrote a song about squids and his thing with sally… yeah.
eret's a violet because nobility!! dream looks down on him because he's ambivalent on fighting for lowblood rights when he's in a power to do so "you just sit there, and you look pretty that's it"
also like eridan he has a minor aesthetic mutation (herobrine eyes) that won't classify him as a mutant.
jschlatt is purple because it makes sense thematically because of the gamzee parallels (a. substance abuse b. if you know what happens in act 6, you know this already but spoiler alert, he ruins the main protagonists' lives) also he's a funnyman he deserves the clown caste
quackity's a teal because he’s a law student. moving on--
ok but for real it also makes sense thematically because he's the one who wrote the thing that tricked schlatt into agreeing also he gets manipulated by schlatt which also draws parallels to certain events in the comic
skeppy and bbh are BEST FRIENDS despite being highblood and lowblood respectively. initially, skeppy just wanted to bother bbh but they grew to be good friends in time. y’know like how they actually becane friends :D
philza minecraft is a jade because dad friend. also works thematically, because spoiler alert he gets to murder a seadweller for going batshit crazy.
he also god tiers early. he dies fighting his quick undead denizen (haha baby zombie) but the consorts of his land carry him to his quest bed because he’s treated them all so well.
dream was initially going to be another caste but then i realized that means i have to make his hoodie something other than green which is unacceptable so its a good thing the fact that he's a lime works out
dream was the one who thought of playing sgrub in the first place- initially only planned to have gogy, sap, and bbh in the session but then realized that they four won't be enough so he invited more into his session
he’s also the first to go godtier ez clap blind speedrun not sure what classpect tho
the only reason why dream avoided being culled at birth for being a limeblood is because his rng is That Good. he quickly picked up the fact that he’s not supposed to exist and masqueraded as an oliveblood and kept mostly to himself to avoid suspicion.
george is still colorblind but he has lazer eyes along with it instead. dream lives with him in the same hive since being a mutant means dream doesn’t get a lusus of his own (dnf fans getcha juice “and they were roommates”)
despite living in the same hive, he never really figures out that dream is a limeblood. possibly because a) he’s colorblind and when he sees dream bleeding he just sees yellow b) he’s just that fucking oblivious and it’s so valid of him.
sapnap’s a bronzeblood mainly because i know he’s the instigator of the pet war with tommy also because i associate him with the color orang in my mind so bronze it is
that’s the end of this long-ass post!! if you have other ideas PLEASE i want to hear them. i don’t know the other streamers i mentioned in here very well so if you have ideas that would be fitting to them like with classpect or lunar sway that would be GREAT.
the only thing i’m confident about in here are the kids’ lunar sways. i’m not an expert in classpects and homestuck lore so there’s that too!! i just wanted to make this post because adhd means that the idea wouldn’t shut up until i finished it. This initially started as a single shitpost edit of tommyinnit talksprite but then the hiveswap 2 trailer came out and that means i have to combine my two hyperfixations.
also i have ideas about potential quadrants but idk how much of that is breaking some streamers’ boundaries about shipping (even the non romantic quads such as kismesistude, morallegiance and auspisticism) so i decided not to include it.
edit: apparently people want more so i made a discord server as a place to brainstorm!! please pm me to join!
