Do you think the l’manburg river was just a little bit too shallow. Because when their home was being blown up, they jumped straight for it. The nature of their home was their protection.
The universe must not have loved them too much, though, because when you hope to drown in this water it never worked. When you wish for the current to bring you under so you never have to watch your home be destroyed, no one listens. No matter how loud you shout your prayers, no one can hear you over the booming sound of your defeat.
but you’ll still be reminded of how you’re not a kid anymore because the water barely reaches your waist. Maybe in the past, it would’ve overtaken you. now you’re limbs are too long and your maturity seems to be your downfall.
