Alfred: *putting away the bar of soap he pulled out of nowhere* Is that so? Please do be careful not to make a mess here. The waxing was just done in the dining room.

I think it’s easy for us to point our fingers at the ‘successful’ brother who has the wife and kids, and say Lark lives with them because he’s weird and a freeloader or because Sparrow doesn’t want him to run off into the night, leave forever or kill himself etc. But like, I think it’s Lark keeping it all together. Sparrow is a fucking mess and Lark is the only one capable of holding him together. He doesn’t want to be in that house with them. But he has too, for his brother. He takes on too much to protect others, forgetting himself

Looking at the timeline, Hero is a senior at high school and if the current campaign year is 2045, then Sparrow was about 20 when she was born. Rebecca I assume is the same age for the purpose of this being simple. Now. Imagine. A couple of 20 year olds. One is beginning to build an icecream empire, they’ve already taken off a lot of time for maternity leave, someone needs to get back behind the helm of that ship. And Sparrow is an anxious ball of nerves and trauma. Of course they’re doing everything they can do to raise Hero, or at that point make sure she survives infancy. And it's tiring. Oh boy is it tiring having a baby. I can't imagine myself at 20 looking after a whole ass life, i couldn't do that shit now. SO WHO DO YOU THINK WAS PICKING UP THE SLACK AROUND THE HOUSE? Taking out the trash? Cleaning the kitchen fridge? Getting the hair out or the shower drain so it doesn't flood? Mowing the lawn? Dusting? Vacuuming? It's all my boy Lark, because he knows his brother can't do it all. And we don't know what went down with him and Rebecca? Or when? Is this guilt helping? Or just ‘I love my brother’ helping? But he’s there to help them is my theory, or at least thats how it started
