English is not my native language so I learn slang only by the context and every time i see the word "acoustic" it always looks like "autistic" in a very offensive way so

I’m going to be honest with you. You really shouldn’t throw around disorders and problems as some sort of accessory or funny thing abt ur oc. It left a sour taste in my mouth and I think you need to rethink how you see view people with actual disorders/disabilities.

It’s weird when my level of masking is good enough that neurotypicals don’t generally clock me as autistic but bad enough that they do think I’m really weird

#it kind of sucks bc I’d honestly rather they just recognize that im autistic rather than think I’m a weird neurotypical #but unfortunately I do not control the masking #for now #also on good days when I have energy and am not in serious burn out or a shutdown #I can mask well enough to be acceptable as neurotypical #but I have not had a good day in months #bc even though I love my job it’s still so exhausting that I am not doing well #thanksgiving will be interesting #autism #actually autistic #neurodivergent
