Ok but just imagine that Lockwood did this to Skull and Lucy was already mad at Skull for something so she let it happen.
And he just has to sit through the whole Christmas season with a goddamn Santa hat.

"Box..."
Mikey paused.
The cat's cradle in his hands was unfinished - halfway done - but that didn't matter anymore.
Leo spoke. Spoke for the first time in weeks ever since they brought him back home...
And Mikey was confused as to the meaning of his brother's first words.
"What did you say?" he asked.
Leo raised a heavly bandaged hand - his only hand - and slowly pointed one finger at him. Mikey could see with crystal clear clarity how heavy the way Leo's arm shook, as if the action alone was so physically daunting that it tired him in just a few seconds.
Mikey was ready to gently take Leo's hand and lower it down when his brother spoke again, voice raspy and so, so different than what it had been weeks ago.
"Box."
With his brother's hand pointing at him, Mikey connected the dots.
"I'm... I'm Box?"
Leo nodded. "Box," he repeated again.
Mikey tried to smile, he did, but the way Leo's eye went to look down at the blanket covering him in shame made him realize that his smile was more or less of a grimace.
"Ssso-... orry..."
"It's okay!" Mikey chirped, wincing a bit at how Leo flinched at the loudness. "I'm fine with a new nickname!" He hummed, making a show of thinking the name over. He even scrunched up his beak. "Hmm, Box... Box... I like it! Box! We can add that to the list-"
"Na-... name..."
Mikey blinked. "What?"
Leo leaned forward, his face twisting in pain just a bit as his finger poked Mikey in the middle of his plastron.
"Box... is y-... yeerr... na-name..."
Leo's face then changed to one of confusion.
"Wha-... what's a-a ni-nick... name?"
lots of severe head trauma + deliberately messed with memories + recently getting possessed = amnesia

As someone with chronic pain who wears braces basically everyday and will probably need some sort of mobility aid in the not-so-distant future, and as someone whose community includes disabled people, and as someone who is doing my best to work in museums I feel like it’s irresponsible to not be ferally furious when I go to museums for my coursework or for fun and they aren’t accessible or are only partially accessible.
(Or when I’m listening to a curator-led lecture on counter cultural art and zine production and there’s not anything in the entire exhibition about disability
Or when im the only one of my classmates on the tour wearing a mask)
If museums are supposed to be public community spaces and you make them inaccessible to physically disabled people or you actively don’t include disability in your preservation and display of cultural artifacts you are conveying a very specific idea of what your public and your community includes. It’s absolutely a value statement, even if it’s one born of inattention.

The U500 festival is our statement for the independent culture in Hungary.
In 2024, members of the independent cultural field of Hungary will come together for the fifth time to create the Under500 festival. As the result of the uncertainty caused by the epidemic situation, the goal of the grassroots festival, in addition to building community and strengthening visibility, is to provide a platform to which everyone has equal access: for emerging artists as well as well-known creators and choreographers or underground groups. Over the past four years, the festival has become a platform for cross-genre productions, focusing on experimentation and the search for connections.
This year, the creative community is facing a sad but not at all unexpected challenge, as Under500 was left without funding. The number of resources that can be spent on culture is rapidly decreasing in Hungary, as well as the possibilities of the independent scene; we are dancing on the edge of extinction. In view of this, Artus is making the venue available to us for free this year, and the artists who have so far indicated their intention to participate have agreed to perform without a fee. With our fundraising campaign, we now want to collect the minimum amount that is absolutely necessary for the realization of the festival.
We trust that the festival, which has always been able to renew itself, will now find new ways, as it has become perhaps the most important professional unifying force. For now, we are working tirelessly to see what direction the Under500 will take in 2024, we will not let it dissipate, it will happen this year as well, even if we don’t see how to pay the necessary costs.
Support us if you can, and come and be a part of this professional event which is based on friendship, and how we unwaveringly try to expand the ever-shrinking spaces, while looking for points of connection with each other and with you.

once again posting a reminder (very gently, when you consider how fucking frustrated i am) that i am anti-kff! there are otherkin terms that people can use and, instead of educating themselves on this, they actively CHOOSE to belittle and bully otherkin folks, all while being a teensy tiny little bit ableist in how they go about it. its not a "erm these people are just minding their business and they're ALSO kin anyway" NO they are NOT. they are, by very fucking definition, either 'hearted or 'link (IF their connection is genuine ANYWAYS). that is NOT. KIN. and its kinda fucking telling if you think a community whose entire existence hinges on deliberate ignorance and harassment of a group is equal to the group theyre harassing and bastardising the terms and experiences of
