Inktober 2023 Day 17-MIMIC

To combat a deadly disease carried by cockroaches, scientists created a new species of insect: the Judas Breed, to kill the the carrier roaches and stoped the spread. They were successful, the disease was eliminated and the Judas Breed would then die out in a few weeks to a month….or so they thought. Three years later, numerous homeless start disappearing, the culprits, tall, dark coated figures who are NOT what they seem!

- Guillermo del Toro’s early monster flick is probably one of the best giant mutant bug movies ever made! A modern take on a classic cautionary tale of the consequences of when science, for good intentions or bad, alters the natural order!

Giant mutant bugs aren’t entirely implausible, thousands of years from now. If being larger was considered the “most attractive” trait to the bugs, then, larger and larger bugs would breed until they are the size of rats/small dogs or bigger, technically. Possible with cockroaches I guess

i think there's something very interesting about the fact that irl, turtles aren't very social or familial in any sense but the ninja turtles are incredibly social and love caring for others and this is arguably the greatest example of their humanity

I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

Raph’s the biggest Hero of the bunch of them let’s be perfectly real here. Raph is THE Hero #All the boys are smart in their own rights but Donnie is THE Genius.#and they all have mystic powers but Mikey is THE Mystic Warrior with immense untapped potential #likewise Leo I feel is THE Ninja #but yeah I love how much Leo goes for the spotlight anyway for better or for worse #he IS a performer again make no mistake! but again the way he does it still lines up with his natural ninja aptitude and I love it #Leo loving magic tricks and magicians so much works doubly well here because like #you’d think he’s focused solely on the performance flair - no it’s ALSO and ESPECIALLY the DECEPTION

Lil Maru is not so sure yet about her new little brother~

(Maru an TAH AU belong to @cuddlebugmonster !!!) ~~~~~~~~ @cuddlebugmonster amazing self brought me into the lil family ;A; da honor aaa so now another lil Vinny Usato is born -jazz hands- (prob my fav vinny so far, the beans man, the beans) He is of course part turtle/hare with lil beans (ofc this was a must, who would I be if I didn't) on his hands an big feet.
