             High Tide may have started to regret his decision when he sent that letter, potentially thinking on a way to possibly get it back or if he could send an apology letter right now... But it was short lived when he peaked at the window and noticed someone placing a letter inside the mailbox. Could that be...? The mech waited for them to leave and stepped out, checking inside the metallic box and... Oh! That pink envelope and heart stamp... It had to be from him!

             He was careful to open it, not wanting to ruin the delicate envelope nor rip the stamp by accident. It was as equally short as his, the message was so straight to the point it made his fans click to prevent an overheat. Tonight?! Goodness, he didn’t have anything to wear or use yet! Well, better run after that then! And quick! He’s got a few hours until their date!

             And then, before he knew, night struck above his helm; or at least, from what he could perceive whenever he looked up to check the time. The bot trailed towards the resort, a dark hand nervously adjusting his tie and nervous green eyes checking if he looked somewhat acceptable. Sure, dress code wasn’t his forte, but he had to trust a bit of his instincts!

             Dodging the... fountain presented upfront, High Tide made a turn and stopped a few feet away from it while looking around. It was... surprisingly quiet. Not too quiet, of course, but he was expecting some more monsters roaming around. I just hope I’m not late...

             The mech walked some more and stopped by the restaurant portion of the resort, squinting as he once again glanced around the immense place. There was a waiter promptly waiting for his arrival, guiding him towards a smaller potion that seemed exclusive for VIPs and stopping by the entrance, giving a short bow to him and trailing off into the semi-lit place. Weird... High Tide didn’t enter, of course, thinking it was either a mistake or a way to spot him better in this crowd.

             “Ay, Mettaton! Are ye — you in there?” Didn’t cost to call for his date companion for this night, right?

A/N: my first request omg i’m really happy and this one is so cute, i’m in love. And please, go listen the song mentioned here in the fic. Hope you like it, love y’all.

It was July, the weather was hot and muggy outside, the midday sun was high, and all I could think about was eating something good. But real food. Where I come from, lunch is not just about eating something practical and quickly, in Brazil we eat rice, beans, salad, steak and even have coffee afterwards. When I told this to Spencer, he thought it was the most curious thing in the world and asked a bunch of questions using the excuse of " you have dual nationality and as good friends we have to know everything about each other". Now, we're in the car, going to eat something more substantial than what they offer us at the police station, because there they only have donuts, and I'm not a big fan of that.

I was driving because Spencer doesn't really like to drive and as he does geographic profiling, he's my GPS. He said that there is a Brazilian restaurant in the other side of the city and he seemed really happy about it because he knew it would make me feel less homesick. But U.S is my home too. On the way, he insisted on listening to my MBP (Brazilian Popular Song) playlist. I don't know if he's interested in Portuguese but he speaks some difficult languages, I don't think she would be much of a challenge, so I never taught him anything.

We are stuck in the traffic and when I looked at him, he was looking out the window. If we go the whole way without talking to him, I'd go crazy so I decided to strike up a conversation. "Did you like the playlist?", he looked at me and said, "Oh, yes, it's quite interesting. Portuguese is such a beautiful language, but unfortunately, Portuguese have approximately 260 million total speakers. Not that much if you compare to other languages". I smile, I think it's really cute when he talks about scientific facts. How do girls not like that? This makes him look much more attractive to my eyes.

"I'm glad you like it, I do too. Oh, why don't you pick a song for me to sing to you while we're stuck in traffic?" He raised an eyebrow. "Y/N, you don't sing". He watched me roll my eyes, I wasn’t believing he had the nerve to say I'm a bad singer. "Well, Dr, I don't sing well but that doesn't mean I can't sing. Come on, just for fun. My voice in isn't too bad, please". And do you know what he did? HE LAUGHED. He really is annoying sometimes, but I can't get mad because when I see his face, such a pretty face, I forgot everything.  It's so easy to get lost in him."Okay, I'll choose...", he was scrolling down my Spotify playlist and stopped when he was almost at the end. "... this one. Looks like a good one."

I got excited, grabbed the water bottle that was in the back seat of the car and took a sip. He chose a song about an impossible love, one of my favorites and for me, if Cazuza were still here and knew us, he would say that Exagerado was about me and Dr. Reid. I put the music on, the first notes started and his gaze was fixed on me. I used my water bottle as a microphone and waved at him. Even dying of shame I started to sing,  “Amor da minha vida, daqui até a eternidade (love of my life, from here to eternity)...” and I used my free hand to hold his right hand,  “Nossos destinos foram traçados na maternidade (our fateswere predetermined in the maternity ward)...”. I kept singing and he seemed to be enjoying it. Trying to follow the lyrics on my phone. When I sang the last verse it said something like “Thrown at your feet with a thousand stolen roses. I'm exaggerated, I love an invented love”. I was over the moon, I had forgotten about the traffic and that I was singing to him. He applauded, I thanked for the private show and said that I did well, even though I knew that I did badly. He's just really cute. I thanked him, feeling happy. After some minutes, the traffic flowed and we headed to the restaurant.

One week later, we were in other case, in other city. The team was ready to go back to the hotel to rest after a long week, I was sharing a room with Spencer. It was a typical hotel, it had a king size bed, a very good shower and a nice view of the avenue. I was tired, and I threw myself on the bed while Spencer set his briefcase on the table and took off his tie. I had closed my eyes because I wanted to savor my moment of peace, when he spoke. "Y/N?", I opened my eyes "Yes, love?" I love using pet names with him, he blushes every time. "You know the song you sang in the car last week? Well, I took the time to look up the translation of the lyrics in English... and... well, I wanted to ask if you find it familiar..." I sat on the bed.

"What do you mean?" I raise my eyebrow. He was leaning against the wall, looking nervous. He walked over to me and sat next to me. "You know, we... we've been friends for a long time and in my imagination sometimes when I think about dating someone, I think about you. So I'm basically invented a love and it's been driving me crazy, I even am learning Portuguese to surprised you because I want to speak in your language and Y/N... shit, I'm rambling, right? sorry". I was in shock, in my head I just thought holy shit  he likes me, he likes me, he likes me. I had to tell you something, but what? I had to talk about my feelings for him. It was now or never.

"Baby, It’s okay, I also invented love with you, ‘cause I love spending time with you and you are so smart, funny and I even like you magic tricks. And I swear when I'm in a room with you like now all I can think about is taking off your stupid clothes and kissing your whole body..." okay, that was too much. I have to learn to filter what I say. "Sorry, I didn't think about what I was saying. Fuck, I was trying to be romantic", I put my hands over my face because I was dying of embarrassment.

He took my hands from my face and said "It’s okay, I want to do this with you too", I felt the distance between us shrink and he gave me a kiss. A soft, lingering kiss. When I parted our lips, I ran my hand over his face. I kissed him again, and again. His lips on mine took me to heaven.Then, he started to place kisses on my neck and I felt an arousal like I've never felt for anyone before. Indeed, our fateswere predetermined in the maternity ward. I can feel it in my bones. "Spence, I want you". He placed one last kiss on my chin, “Tudo que você quiser, meu amor (Anything you want, my love)”.

Dancetale: a summary.

Apart from our SOULs, Monsters are mostly composed of magic, which we can also expel as bullets for communication or combat. Every type of bullet is unique to a species, every pattern is unique to an individual, and though not as descriptive as words, by being extensions of ourselves, displays like these are more personal.

As the title suggests, "Dancetale" is an AU where magical exchanges like this are more coordinated with the casters' movements, leading the kingdom to develop a culture around matching them to dances. Being expressed through motion, this has allowed humans like Frisk and Chara a deeper participation in monster customs.

The late highness Chara had adopted modern dance in their life with the royal family, while their majesties and Dr. W.D. share the waltz... though the doctor may have also been versed in the cancan. For more examples, the ghost family consists of swing dancers, the spider clans tarantella and tap, the nice cream vendor jives, Grillby does the salsa, the server at MTT Burger Emporium is an interpretive dancer, the Temmies are lion dancers, Papyrus does Latin dance... and while Sans, Undyne, Alphys and Mettaton all have hip hop in common, Undyne's greater focus is capoeira, Mettaton's is jazz (with a fondness for Beyoncé)... and Alphys and Undyne also take inspiration from Jpop and Kpop.

Note: out of self-consciousness, Sans keeps his hood up around all but his closest social circle, such as Papyrus, whenever he does let himself dance.

Frisk is still an inexperienced dancer when they first arrive, but monsters continually offer them lessons with each challenge and they adopt ballet as their own style, donning a pink tutu.

Hey im generally a very well versed person in the knowledge of undertale, but im as forgetful as a landslide trying to stay still, where in the canon does it say that mettaton is transmasc?

okay so. disclaimer. i may have been misremembering, it's heavily implied but it is never explicitly said that Mettaton is transmasc. Then again, these things are rarely explicitly stated. Not a ton of trans people would tell a complete stranger they just met (and are trying to murder) that they're trans.

It could be argued that the ghost-to-machine transition is only a transgender metaphor, considering that his old diaries mention numerous times being dissatisfied with his body and form and wanting a new one, and being very excited at the opportunity to get one. Everyone uses different pronouns for Mettaton up until you meet him and he's on TV- it goes from 'they/them' to 'he/him' pretty quick, but that could be a matter of obfuscation. Who knows! It was probably not right of me to say 'canonical' but the 'dissatisfied-ghost-to-being-very-happy-in-a-male-presenting-body' timeline feels pretty dang explicit to me, someone who IS transmasc. Then again I'm biased. Decide for yourself but I know where I stand, and it's that assuming MTT IS trans, it is...decidedly not towards the 'woman' end of the spectrum. We have Mad Mew Mew for that.

THE ENTIRE SONG IS LITERALLY ABOUT HOW THERE IS NO PROGRESS MADE AND HOW THE SINGER WISHES THEY COULD JUST STOP FEELING AND HOW THEY REGREY ALL THEIR DECISIONS. if that's not killer coded then i don't know WHAT. also the entire song sounds perpetually the same the entire time but also filled with emotion and i think that works well with killer's whole schtick with emotions and yada yada

3) akairo ushiro by pepoyo and horror

the vibes of the mv. the vibes of the song. the actual lyrics. it just seems so horrortale esque is it not? there's a lot of red and the vocals are deep and it feels lile you're spiraling down (but a LOT of pepoyo songs feel like that but this one especially) and also the final scene where the miku stands still and then rhe effects change to alter her i just feel like someone should do that with horror. the entire song reminds me of horror

4) shooting star of love by pepoyo and the entirety of the mtt

okay okay this one is a reach BUT this isn't canon oriented. i just think that this stupidly sweet song about love and friendship and wishing on stars would fit them if they all got over their trauma and just. became good friends because the song is so sweet i love shooting star of love. so cute

5) noroino neurose by pepoyo and the mtt

I'M SORRY I KNOW I'VE SAID THIS SONG REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF THEM BUT IT REALLY DOES!!!! IT'S OBJECTIVELY TJE BEST PEPOYO SONF AND IT HAS 3 SINGERS AND UGHHHHH

the first one is sunf by miku and i just think that this first verse is horror because she literally gets hit on the head with a rock and dies and who else has a head injury???? WJO ELSE. but also it's because the whole song is about having neurosis and how that effects them and the first singer talks all about how they like how things are for them and that they're grateful and that everyone else sucks ass and i think the denial and egotism is horror coded WHOOPS just. just read these lyric translations i made on my own

ok last verse is very obviously killer. now the issue is that poyoroid ends up... erm. getting saed in this section but obviously that doesn't happen to killer BUT that doesn't mean the lyrics don't apply to him. the lyrics are more self deprecating and how life sucks because of the neurosis and also it talkd about how people pass by and end up leaving and ignoring poyoroid (they're homeless in this song btw) and i think that fits with all the people killer's met throughout the multiverse and how he never gets the help he needs despite him wanting it because of himself or some outside force that pushes them away (dream, color, swap, etc) and then in the end poyoroid just bottles it up and dismisses it lol. also at the end of the mv poyoroid dreams of seeing miku and vy2 again after they died and i think thatd SO SAD IF YOU PUT IT IN MTT CONTEXXXTTTT AAAAA killer dreaming of horror and dust after theyve died but he's still alive and he can't die??? it's so sad and angsty. i CAAAAANT

menheramen is a song about all the shitty and gross and bad things in life. yeah that's basically it. the song is energetic and upbeat and you REALLY wouldn't know that it's a song about that without the mv and the translation but yeah. i think horror and killer would sing about that shit because theyve been fucked in the ass by life and all that bs. reason why i said maybe dust is because the song is a bit TOO hyper and energetic for me to see him singing it. maybe he'd be in the back or sm harmonizing LOLLL

7) togenkyodekyusaiwo by guess who. pepoyo. and horrordust

this song's an absolute banger btw pepoyo songs are always great. but the song is about likeeeee saving people from the terrible world through what is implied to be cannibalism but we don't acknowledge that part (or the obvious womb symbolism in this. or the fact that it's being sung from a person growing up with childish ideals wanting to save other kids from adult society) but i think that this song reminds me of them because of the more slow pace (killer songs are usually more energetic for me ngl) and also the salvation part. because both of them just wanted to help their undergrounds. dust it's obvious but horror he's dealt with his underground's bullshit for 7 years and donated every scrap of food to them. even though hes a shitty guy in canon and he probably doesn't care about anyone else aside from papyrus by the time the comic takes place theres no denying that he DOES work to keep them sustained

like i said earlier. energetic songs remind me of killer. so this includes handycapper and netchuso ni naritaina, shippu ninsatsu waraninja. yaaaaa they're just more fast paced than the others even though the lyrics have nothing to do wirh killer

imigo no tamago: song about the singer failing to fit in with other kids her age and like not being up to standard and there's a lot of egg metaphors. the song is completely unrelated to him but basically the song's one giant metaphor about engaging in your intrusive thoughts and placing the blame onto something else but also taking oit the thoughts onto that thing. in the song it's about slugs invading a bathroom and the singer punishes rhe slugs by basically torturing them. for killer i feel.like it could relate to how he was losing bis emotions bc of the resets but was also curious about the players deal bit really didn't wanna accept but in the end. GUESS WHAG HE DID. so i guess that like him giving into his thoughts and then "taking it out" on the underground but also blaming chara (in his defense it WAS the players fault for fucking with his code but still. he had the thought. i will never not shit on my favs)

ok so if you read the lyrics of amedama its kinda like. about things (wow) but i guess ill make a metaphor for the first verse and dustm basically vy2 steps on a frog and the eyeball goes into mikus mouth and then vy2 is like holy shit i can't tell her because she thinks it's a candy ball she's eating so she does. and the metaphor is i giess the candyball are the resets and dust's vy2. he never told anyone about them (not that rjey could remember buttt) also the last verse is about god cursing civilization with acid rain and how they all died because of it and i think thats a good metaphor for the player and the genocide route since you basically ARE GOD when you kill everyone in the route and how theres no survivors since youre an unstoppable force like how rain cant be stopped completely especially if its ACID. i guess basically this song reminds me of pre-genocide dust
