on zoe and her line that went something like ”Kamala should wait to tell the world until she’s ready.”

possibly major spoilers for s2 ahead (and spoilers for the comics. and episode 6.)

In the comics, Zoe’s story went somewhat similarly to the show: she was a popular white girl who started out as kind of a bitch then ended up being one of Kamala’s biggest allies. However, Zoe’s character was also a lot more complex.

To understand what I’m about to say, you have to know what was happening in the comics at this time. Basically Kamala was fighting this AI sentient virus thing called doc.x, and it could see all of her information. It then used that to access her friend’s information, including Zoe’s.

When it saw Zoe’s things, it found love letters, written to none other than Zoe’s close friend Nakia. It told Kamala about this (she was incredibly supportive by the way, she’s a really good friend as is shown in the show) and told her that if she didn’t do something (i forget what) it would email Zoe’s letters to the entire school.

“Oh but Falcon, if Kamala was such a good friend, why didn’t she do the thing that the Doc.x virus wanted her to?” She couldn’t. If I remember right, Doc.x wanted her to give up, and she wasn’t going to do that.

So instead, she went to talk to Zoe, who completely understood, but obviously was also mortified that Kamala knew and terrified that soon, so would all of Coles Academic High School, including, of course, Nakia.

Being the good friend that she was, Zoe confessed everything to Nakia, who was very understanding but didn’t reciprocate Zoe’s feelings. However, the letters were still sent out and Zoe was outed as a lesbian against her will to the entire school.

When 19999 Zoe says that Kamala should be allowed to keep her identity private, and to Nakia nonetheless, that’s foreshadowing for what I’m sure will happen soon.

I'm very confused about this scene because there are two explanations, Kamala has shapeshifted or swapped places with Carol Danvers.

More of a deep dive into this under the cut

At first I thought Kamala shapeshifted into Carol Danvers because that's what happend in the Ms. Marvel comic. After she "transforms" she looks around to not only see the damage she has done, but to discover her outward appearance has changed into the person she looks up to.

I've been seeing a lot of reactions online saying that Kamala switched places with Carol, meaning that Kamala is in space. However, that doesn't make sense to me. This Captain Marvel appears more "glamorous." I don't want to be rude to Brie Larson, but it seems that in her previous films as Captain Marvel, Larson was more muscular, while here in this scene she is much thinner. This adds to the reason why I think Kamala is the one who shapshifted instead of swapping places. Kamala has transformed herself into the version she sees Carol as, someone who is cool and perfect.

Shape-shifting was a big part of Kamala's powers as it helped her discover her true identity as Ms. Marvel.

Anyway, whatever happens, I can't wait to catch up with Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel because is one of my favorite Marvel heroines.

I'm just really confused. That's all.

Ms Marvel final episode! Eeep! I'm so excited!!!

Did I mention how much I LOVE this episode? Because its fucking awesome! And Kamala's plan is absolutely brilliant!

Kamran meets Kareem.

Every part of her identity came from the important people in her life! Her mom got her the outfit and her dad got her the name! OMG this episode is absolutely perfect! I cannot find a single problem with how they executed this and how they wrapped up everything.

Did they ... They just played the X-Men theme in the background!!! Omg! Omg! Omg! She's a mutant?!? She's a djinn AND a MUTANT?!

She teleported! Or switched places with Captain Marvel? *flails*

I loved loved LOVED this episode guys!

And now I'm really excited for the Marvels movie

AHHH finally got round to watching the first episode of Ms Marvel and despite the changes I think they are doing a really good job of trying to stay true to her roots as well as making her really cool and it does seem quite authentic so I’m happy so far!! Obviously nothing will compare to my baby in the comics but Iman Vellani has captured my heart and is doing a great job. All this to say I love that’s she’s getting the attention and love she deserves <3

I'm about to start watching Ms. Marvel and I am so excited!!!

I never got around to reading any of the Ms. Marvel comics due to one thing or another so I'm jumping into this show without much of an idea about anything beyond what I've acquired via osmosis so yeah.

Why Thor is secretly a gamer 🤣🤣 I'd LOVE to watch that production tbh!

She's having a paratha for breakfast! Now i kinda want one too even though its the middle of the night

Okay for some reason, the mom doesn't seem to have the right accent. She sounds like she's got an Indian immigrant's accent more than a Pakistani one. Ugh, this is probably gonna annoy me but I guess we'll see.

The dad did a good job though.

Gahhhhh, I can't, i cannot stand the mom's accent. Like there isn't anything bad about it per se but it does NOT mesh with the way I pictured how she ought to sound in my head and it just takes me out of the show and I can't switch off the bit in my brain going she doesn't sound right long enough to enjoy her parts 😭

I do LOVE the way her powers are visualized in this though. The whole glowy geometric thing is pretty awesome.

Also, I guess we had our first glimpse of the antagonists in the post credits. They might get relegated to secondary antagonists down the road maybe?

Overall, I did enjoy the episode and the whole vibe they're going for. I like Kamala's character and the relationship she's got with her parents and brother and i can already see the way they'll butt head in the coming episodes and I can't wait to see if my guesses will hit their marks. I won't be posting any predictions just yet though.

I AM SO FUCKING GLAD THE WRITERS AND MAKERS DECIDED TO INCLUDE A SCENE ABOUT THE WHOLE PARTITION THING , The Partition of India is one of the most traumatic,Painful and Saddest incident that happened in the History which affected millions of people and thousands of households and the pain and trauma has been passed on to the generations and people LITERALLY EVEN NOW still Fight and kill themselves all bcoz of the great British Empire 😍😍😍

Ms Marvel is good so far and i am not really digging the changes they have made to kamala from comics but the show is actually great so far, shit all of a Sudden Gets So Real and then its also a Silly Fun adventurous ride most of the time
