An: who wrote a sappy fic during hiatus??? Me. I did. Not back yet, wips likely resuming in February, but here is some fluffiness all inspired by a movie I was just gonna watch as background noise 😂 (is this bringing my Chris E crush back??? Dammit!)

Myrlande
Myrlande chewed the inside of her cheek as more people filed in, the wedding would start in 20 minutes.
Each time she glanced back and didn’t see Andrew, relief washed over her. But there were still about 15 empty seats, and Brian would kill him if he didn’t show.
Myrlande was close to the bride, Grace, they'd known each other since grade school. Grace met Brian 6 years ago, and he’s been around ever since. Friends came along with the package, in Grace’s case, she came with Myrlande and Ani. Brian, the groom, came with four of his own childhood friends, one of them being Andrew.
“Honey, you’re making me nervous.” Ani placed one hand over Myrlands. “Breathe,” she whispered.
Myrlande blew out a breath. “Am I that obvious?”
“Only because I know you so well, plus, you’re looking at the door, a lot.”
Myrlande laughed to release some tension, “I haven't seen him since that night I fucked up.” …

Noon, in midtown Manhattan, Nick POV
As the crowd spilled off the train, Nick stayed seated.
Everyone around him was in a rush, except him. He said yes to this, but from the moment he got the invite months back, it only filled him with dread. She would be there.
The tall brunette captured his attention and heart in one night and he was smitten, all in, from the start. He’d never seen her before sophomore year of college, she just appeared, out of nowhere, like she was there just for him.
And once it was over, she was gone, like she had never been there; well, if it wasn’t for his broken heart and all the memories that haunted him like ghosts, even 6 years later.
I should be over it by now, he even told himself in the mirror sometimes, but no matter how many times he said it, it never worked…

#tumblr polls#hrmm... a little poll perhaps.. about a subject I find interesting.. since this image came across my facebook today#still really not feeling that well. no longer shaking violently and such but I still feel weird and weak much more than usual#They did say my markers for like infection or inflammation were elevated but that they werent sure of the cause so hopefully#it's nothing too serious. they did also say a lot of different things can cause that thing to be higher than normal but didn't go into spec#fics of what. maybe some of them are relatively benign or something. I still havent felt much back to normal since#I got really sick that one time though. I feel fine on and off but then little bouts of feeling weird and sick happen. hrmmm#ANYWAY.. looking for small ways to be productive. such as little doodles on evil ipad or editing game videos#or posting polls or cat pictures or some other like not very labor intensive things#I WISH I COULD FOCUS on writing HHRGGhh... I need to finish my game.. it would be so freeing.. a project that's been looming#over my head for like 5 years even though througouht that 5yrs I've probably spent a total of 3 months working on it lo.. ANYWAY#I still partially really cannot beleive that people CAN see stuff in their heads. There's always part of me that's thinking like. well mayb#e everyone DOES see the same exact thing but we just describe/conceptualize it so differently that we think we're talking about#different things when we're really not. But I have been assured by people I've talked to about it that they can GENUINELY really see#stuff in their heads like as vivid as an actual picture in real life or something. And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I#can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud..#but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone#said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects#the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

#She's so cute <3#WPP#Portal#Ellen McLain#If you haven't played through the audio commentary I would Absolutely recommend it it is So fun#I clicked out of curiosity - kind of just expecting like a movie's audio commentary y'know? Like a video that highlighted specific scenes#No it's just the whole game again but with trivia pop-ups! I love that!!#It reminded me so much of like trivia track or the pop up fun facts from special editions of movies I would watch as a kid#But you can play through them!! You have to click on them and they spin! I love that!!!#I always love hearing the design and development process - fascinating how the playtesters reacted to this new game!#We take it for granted now but yeah I imagine it would've been very confusing at the time#And I was like ''Well it was such a small team and Ms. McLain was such a large part of it - surely she'll have a few bubbles?''#She does lol - as soon as I got to her first one (it was a slow burn! They buried the lead with her lol I'm already invested!) I had to go#I saved-quit the game out of sheer excitement and giddiness lol I had to sleep on it before I was ready to come back#It is so cool to hear her natural voice ah <3 And the kinds of direction she was given! Other bubbles also talk about her vocal direction :)#Very cool! I wonder what TTS they used for reference :0#But to hear her real laugh without the audio processing over and and she still sounds like GLaDOS! I mean of course she does but just jfdksl#That's /her/ laugh! They share a laugh! Going off the Ingo and Emmet had a big fight before Ingo gets ebbie debbied.
I can only imagine how Spice would feel about this. Like they try to psychologically torment Ingo who only as fragments of memories, at best, of who he was and the people in his life. Spice fails, ends up being the warden's partner, and worst of all ends up having an emotional attachment with this man. Spice won't admit it, but he's come to like the strange human.
Fast forward and Ingo get undebbied from the past. Spice and the other pokemon follow cause they care deeply for Ingo and don't want him to be on his own like he was in Hisui. A wacky adventure begins and everything really looks hopeful from here on out.
And then they find Emmet and then it all goes south. Spice (in his Zoroark form) and the rest wait out as the brothers talk, until they can hear yelling. They hear the slamming of a door open and see Ingo yelling at Emmet to just listen to him, but before he can finish Emmet pushes Ingo to the ground.
All hell breaks loose. The other pokemon react but Spice is faster. He gets in-between Emmet and Ingo putting some space between the two, and while facing Emmet, he transforms. Emmet now faces himself but this him is not smiling and his eyes are full of scorn.
Emmet's Psychological Torture 2: Electric Boogaloo. This time with intent to kill

#hoof draws#replacement ingo au#<-i actually like the concept of emmet being irrationally furious at ingo for a second after they reunite#like. processed as 'all this trauma and grief happened because ingo disappeared' --> it's ingo's fault#also tangentially. i like spice and sugar being like. shapeshifting entities who don't necessarily change or age with time#so the twins themselves get older and visibly worn and ragged with time#whereas sugar and spice are still mimicking the mid 20's version of their respective trainers#and eventually become representative of this tragic 'we can never go back to what we were before' thing#neway. all that to say emmet storms off to brood in his brooding spot while sugar tries to comfort him#while he's like. trying to rationalize being so angry at ingo . and after a bit looks up at sugar#who looks the way he remembers ingo in their younger years when they had a great relationship. watching movies together and whatnot#and emmet has a moment of like. god . i miss my brother :[#--> and has to go running the city looking for ingo#(he's passed out from crying in spice's lap at the park. spice threatens to bite emmet if he gets any closer when he shows up)

okay for ME the reason i never liked zepotha but loved goncharov is simply bc zepotha doesnt sound like noises that belong together. it sounds like a mispronunciation. meanwhile goncharov is real and moves your mouth correctly.
