i feel like not enough ppl are factoring in the cultural clash between laios and shuro and the many micro agressions shuro faced while being in their group. literally the name 'shuro' in itself is one

his name is toshiro 😭 lets also not forget that he has his own communication issues, in the opposite way that laios does- thats literally a factor in their argument, that his envy for laios's ability to express himself sincerely manifested as part of his distaste for him.

ig all this to say like, was their fight heart wrenching, especially when reading laios as autistic? absolutely. anybody whos ever been in laios's position knows how much it hurts to realize someone you thought was your friend doesnt actually like having you around, especially when they didnt tell you and you had no way of knowing due to not understanding their cues. but im begging yall to step back and see the nuance of this situation cause im gonna be real a lot of you are kinda just brushing over it acting like everything is toshiros fault and that hes a terrible person when in reality hes an average guy who really, really clashed with laios and it led to a very long misunderstanding due to their supremely opposite methods of communication. even laios and toshiro, after letting everything out in their fight, were able to come to an understanding and start a foundation for an actual friendship built on better communication

ok yknow what Edit: i shouldve made it even more explicit at the end of this post, i hadnt thought i would need to since i started the post with this, but i think a few too many people are missing my point so i just wanna clarify. i shouldnt have said 'really clashed' and left it at that because yeah they did, but it wasnt just their opposite methods of communication, it is also very much that toshiro was experiencing microaggressions via laios. it may have been unintentional on laios's part, but it still happened and wore him down, made it harder for him to communicate on top of both the more subtle social cues that he was raised with and his own communication difficulties. i also want to say that the fandom reaction to toshiro and the complete ignorance of this point is also racist tbh or at the very least ignorant. i understand that the anime did not cover this panel, and neither did the manga, as this was an omake, but im gonna be real with you guys. there are enough context clues within the story to clue you into this. if you didnt pick up on it thats ok, but i think this is a good lesson in picking up subtext in the stories that youre watching and/or reading. kui shouldnt have to explicitly say 'by the way laios was racist to toshiro' for this point to be understood, and at the very least, when the author portrays a character in a sympathetic light (as kui clearly does) it should make you question Why they are doing so and what makes them sympathetic, rather than youre immediate and only reaction to be 'well i hated what this guy did/said so i hate them and they suck'. idk exactly how to finish this, just. idk. question your biases and gut reactions to things you see in media and stories, and think about whether or not theres subtext that youre missing.

once again screaming crying throwing up about the fact that infinity train was prematurely cancelled despite being contracted for 5 seasons.

#infinity train #like i really really want all 8 seasons. & i really really want present day!amelia and all that would come with that (e.g. hazel and grace)#but i feel like i would be so much more content with the show's cancellation if we had the bow on top of it all that was the amelia season #because she was the villain from s1 #the fallout of her villanry births the antagonists from s2.#she appears again in s3 having moved on slightly and changed her outlook. thereby creating a somewhat optimistic outlook on the end point of #her story #and s4 shows (in parts) her descent into villany.#she's been the main reocurring presence in the whole show and her train motivation (unbearable grief) and villain arc are the most #complex the show would've handled #i truly believe that if they had been allowed to make it it would have served as a perfect ending to the show #because she's been built up for so long and because the writers would've had so much material to work with AND detail to pay attention to #it wouldve been spectacular.... and everything they wanted to explore in later seasons wouldve been so good too #(older tulip and revenge and acceptance of something as complicated as alzheimer's disease)#(and i also think it wouldve been neat for them to show us a glimpse of 40 y/o rymin cuz those boys have major issues still when they get #off the train #and so id like a snapshot of them in the future that shows they worked things out)#yeah. justice 4 infinity train justice 4 amelia hughes. i want to fuck that 60y/o deeply evil woman so badly and i need her back in my life

Law of mirroring

(Also law of mirroring and law of assumption is basically the same thing I just like to think of it as the law of mirroring it helps me process everything more❤️)

The world is your mirror

What you belive and feel to be true about yourself and the world around you will be reflected back to you

So let’s break this down

What do you believe?

Your not worthy, your not chosen, your ugly, your stupid, et

All that is reflected back to you in your everyday life,

Your stuttering, you doing and saying stupid things is because you belive your stupid

You constantly have acne, eye bags, you feel your hair never looks good because you “perceive yourself to be ugly” and because you focus on that, that’s what keeps showing up

You believe your not chosen, other girls getting more attention then you, other girls pulling more guys, other girls getting the car they want the money, the grades and things they want and you feel you always come second that your never on top,

so because when these “circumstances” show up you allow yourself to internalize it and be bothered by it and focus on It and complain

Rather then choosing to believe a different story, focus on feeling good about yourself inside and choosing the solution to change rather then keep persisting in the same story there for keeping you in the same cycle

So now that we know this what do we do?

We change the perception and the story.

Hair? Stop saying oh my hair is ugly, my hair is short, my edges are thin, stop persisting in the story the mirror is telling

Tell yourself your hair is long your hair is beautiful you have thick healthy manageable hair

Whenever you start to feel bothered by the story the 3d is showing you, remember that you created it, and you can change it, by simply affirming and persisting in something different

Whenever you look in the mirror affirm “this is just a reflection of my inner story that I created and I can change it simply by focusing on what I want and telling myself that I have it or will get it”

There’s 2 ways things can go

Example: “looks in mirror”

my hair is so =ugly/beautiful

(pause, and catch yourself in the moment and decide not to repeat the old story and focus on the new one)

My hair is gorgeous I have my Dream hair, my hair grows so fast and so thick eyc,

Just simply catch yourself and choose to persist in a new story

And that’s with literally anything just simply become aware of your inner world(story) and choose to change it and that’s it

It’s so simple that’s literally it.

And Laswell is literally such a good character and it's such a shame she's so underrated! Everyone deserves someone as cool and epic as Laswell in their lives! Besides, as you said, there really isn't enough love for Laswell, so I'm more than happy to change that! Sometimes you just gotta make the people happy and write something silly and fun for them! Sometimes what you need in your life is to kiss Kate Laswell and give her a hug and go on vacation with her and cuddle with her while watching TV and cook a good meal with her and just be domestic with her in general!

The idea of 'The Sovereign' and this storyline in Wonder Woman by Tom King reminds me of Hydra Captain America and the Secret Empire by Nick Spencer.

#wonder woman #i didn't want to discuss this but the sovereign really makes me angry in just how lazy he is as a character #and this whole idea of a 'secret king' running America #reeks the same as 'what if Captain America was a Hydra agent all along'#not only does the conspiracy that's been created upend a lot of what's already been established in WW lore #but this is also just a lazy kind of character creation that just takes everything Diana is and makes it opposite #the Sovereign or is he a Bizarro Wonder Woman?#like Superman and Lex aren't wholly opposites their goals are the same it's their motivation that's different #Lex 'helps' because he wants to look good and get praise and money he does good for selfish reasons #meanwhile Superman does good because it's the right thing to do #the sovereign looks and feels shallow #it's trying hard to be edgy but it's cringe i mean 'lasso of lies'?#it feels like it's gonna be revealed that there wasn't ever going to be a history where the sovereign and his ilk ruled America #but someone gave this man the lasso of lies and he created his new reality off the old one LIKE when Cap was rewritten to be Hydra #and we know he gets locked up so what is the actual stakes in this story we know he gets defeated #so what makes this story important?#like wonder woman earth one did this whole arc better and the main villain being max lord aka ares made more sense #the first 6 or so issues should have been on working towards unraveling amazonian influence and power in America because a group of men #see them as a threat to American superiority if this is the direction you want to go in #snapping your fingers and fastfowarding for a first issue is not the in media res you think it is #im ranting but ww has been one of mh fav series the past few years and now #for the first time in a long time #i have to not read it because this whole storyline sucks #dc comics #i can't wait for whoever comes next to undo what's happening now because if there's one consistent thing about WW is she will be reinvented

I think people using Euron teaming up with a woman theory due to Aeron's vision on Twow .But your speculation about him teaming up with the Others got me thinking .What about if that woman is the Other's queen or smth ? Similar with how a former lord commander of the night's watch (the night's king) was with and Other .

Wasn't the Nights King wife a Corpse Bride? That sounds like it'd progress the story towards War with the Others, give us more info about the Others, and fit the Horror Villain themes of Eurons story.

I think Euron could team up with a woman, like the Corpse Bride (he's after a "bride" afterall) but I dont think it'll be Cersei or Dany. I could be wrong about Cersei ofc but I'd be surprised. I'd want him to team up with someone to progress the story towards the War for the Dawn.

At first, I thought he would team up with Cersei to use the inevitable KL burning as a human sacrifice event but I dont like that actually. KL burning needs to be a direct result of Cersei's (and probably JonCon) decisions. This is her city, her fire, her throne and she's gonna burn it down before she let's anyone take it from her ... or something like that lmao. I dont want Euron to have an influence there, and its not needed bc we can clearly see where its all going with Cersei becoming Aerys 2.0, JonCon and the bells, the blacks versus the greens, etc. But if Euron isn't gonna have a part in KL burning then what's the point of him being in Cersei's story? That's the big event, the final showdown (for her) most likely.

I guess maybe he could still use it as a human sacrifice event depending on how the magic works but who the hell knows lol.

There's also Lady Stoneheart to consider, another Corpse Bride. Her future is largely unclear imo except that she's probably going to receive the gift of mercy from Arya. Until Arya shows up, who knows what's gonna happen with her? Euron could promise her death to every single Frey or something like that?

ANYWAYS! Yeah it's still certainly possible he's going to team up with a woman at some point, I just don't think it'll be Dany or Cersei. It's possible Aeron saw a potential future of Dany if she did join forces with Euron but, again, I don't think that's likely to happen. I think Euron will definitely try to reach Dany thru her dreams again (yay more creepy rape dreams for us to read 🤢) but I don't think that's gonna work out for him. In fact, I think Dany will recognize him from her dream and it'll horrify her. She's not even safe in her dreams until he's dead.

My main thing tho is that his team up has to progress the story towards the Others imo and I don't think an alliance with Cersei would do that unless it's to use KL burning as a human sacrifice, and I don't think that added motivation is necessary to build up KL burning. But that's just me and my opinion.
