Okay, so- I have this Sander Sides AU that I've had for a long while now. And I think it would be neat to share it with you. I might also make several posts about it. So let me introduce you to:

Sanders Switched is an AU in which the sides' "roles" are switched around. To elaborate, their function (Logan as logic, Patton as morality, ect.) remains the same. Thomas' perception of them is what changes. So where Logan is the voice of reason in canon, another side would take his place. Here's all the sides in Sanders Switched:

Janus: Janus takes the role of Patton as the kind authority figure. He's seen as Thomas' self-preservation and always puts his safety and well-being above all else. He's a sort of motherly figure to the other sides, constantly caring about their well-being and acting as if he's older than them. He's much sweeter than OG Janus, but he still has a sassy side, and lives for gossip.

Remus: Remus takes Roman's role as Thomas' source of inspiration. He is seen as Thomas' comedic side and encourages Thomas to have as much fun as possible. Rather than being a Duke, he presents as a jester. He has issues with his impulsivity, and his jokes tend to be morbid and often mean, but he's overall harmless and much more tame than OG Remus.

The Orange Side: Obviously, I can't say exactly what the Orange Side will be, since we haven't been introduced to him yet. But based off what we do know, I place him in Logan's role as the voice of reason. Assuming he represents wrath of some sort--which is impossible not to believe at this point--he would probably be seen as Thomas' motivation, pushing him to get his work done.

Roman: Most people would probably switch Roman and Remus and make Remus, "good creativity," and Roman, "bad creativity." BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M COMPLICATED AND UNIQUE. So Roman takes the place of Virgil as the original, "antagonist." He is seen as Thomas' pride that pushes delusions that keep Thomas from growing as a person. He arrogant and rude, and claims he is a King rather than a Prince. Because of this, none of the sides really like him at all, with the exception of Janus. But near the end of season one, we discover that Roman only really wanted Thomas to achieve his dreams, and that most of his cockiness hid his secret insecurities. And after Thomas and the other sides realize how important he is, Roman is officially accepted as part of the group.

Patton: Patton takes the role of Janus as the antagonist to all of Thomas' beliefs and the possible leader of the dark sides. He is seen as Thomas' overbearing moral code that constantly tries push harsh rules rooted in Catholic Christianity onto Thomas and the other sides. He is extremely passive aggressive and overly judgmental towards the sides he deems, "wrong." Almost everything he says is a critisism of something Thomas or the other sides do. Despite being so harsh however, he loves puns and making jokes just as much the OG Patton, and loves to torture Logan with his puns.

Logan: Logan takes Remus' place as the bad influence Thomas tries to ignore. He is seen as Thomas' inner critique who judges Thomas for everything he does. He insists that Thomas' lifestyle is, "childish," and that he should abandon it for a, "mature," way of living so that he can live, "a normal, healthy life." He is extremely judgmental and criticizes all the sides for the smallest of details, making everyone hate him, even Janus. Despite this, he generally harmless, and he can easily be ignored.

Virgil: Virgil takes the Orange Side's place as the mysterious secret side that the fandom makes a million theories about. I can't fully explain who he would be, since, again, we haven't been introduced to the Orange Side yet. But for now, he still represents Thomas' anxiety. And when he reveals himself, he will call Thomas and all the sides out on their BS.

That's all for now. It isn't fully developed, and things will surely change when the Orange Side finally does reveal himself. But there's still a lot of things I would like to share. So please let me know if you want know more!

Sup, hi hello I wanna do one of my favorite things which is talk about minor inconsequential details in Sanders Sides writing because I don’t get out much so let’s talk about how the Sanders Sides timeline is even MORE muddled then you thought.

I noticed in the embarrassing phases video that when Logan insults Virgil’s ability it scare the group, saying that him diminishing his costume quality isn’t all that scary, Virgil fires back with “Careful, or itll be Thomas’ girl phase next.” Logan reacts in near disgust, and Thomas makes a remark about it.

Roman laughs, saying “you were so repressed!”

And Thomas mutters “It was very hard for me!”

However there’s a remark in SVS that directly contradicts this, as a morbid joke or not, and it can spark some interesting theories about what’s yet to come for the series. In the clip, Patton is trying to convince Thomas going to the wedding was the right choice because of all the times Lee and Mary Lee had helped him, giving an example of Mary Lee coming out to give him a jump after his car broke down, and Thomas replies with this remark:

“And Lee always had my back in high school after I came out”

Thomas specifically says he came out in high school, even if he previously stated he came out at 23. Thomas came out on the internet in 2017, where he would’ve been around 26, so he’s not talking about telling his large audience in either instant. It’s not really important when Thomas actually came out, because Thomas would know when he actually came out. If he’d simply said “school” it could’ve been played off as he came out in college, but he specifically says high school, and like I said, Thomas wouldn’t just forget if he came out in high school because it would’ve been a very different experience from college (or idk I barely remember when I first came out so maybe I’m wiping my ass or smth)

I personally think it would be cool to explore the themes of repression, internalized homophobia, and ultimately coming out in high school in the mid 2000’s would be a cool storyline, specifically for Patton and Janus, Patton because he is Thomas’ moral code and it’s been said Thomas was raised Catholic, and Janus because he would ultimately be the one keeping that secret from Thomas.

Idk if that’s just an overzealous fanfic idea but I just wanted to talk about it. I completely understand if following that storyline would be a bit too uncomfy for Thomas, and I respect that, I’m just throwing my opinions out there because I have no self control. Pls tell me if I was just being stupid and missed smth cause I honestly never know what I’m doing. Ever.

Jay Aienyouess

(I’ve already made an information post like this, but said post is pretty long; in fact, it’ll just get longer and more expansive as I develop new characters and stories for [The Future Mob Project].And I’m worried that the sheer length will make readers lose interest when they click on a link to look for a specific character. So, I’ll be making separate information pages for each character while still maintaining the all-inclusive post. Got it? Good.)

Who He’s Based Off Of: Thomas Sanders

His Method of Work: The Pentas Family can be thought of as many things. Well, if you were to think of it as, say, an anglerfish, then Jay would play the role of that bright, shiny lure. He can put on a Grammy-worthy act in the blink of an eye, whether to lead a target to their doom or to keep any potential witnesses away from a soon-to-be crime scene.

On top of con-games, Jay can also be quite stealthy if the job calls for it. Sneaking around enemy turf, setting up a sabotage or two, gathering information, spying on those who give off weird vibes during business negotiations. . .

Unlike most of his peers, Jay was raised in a comfortable, pleasant environment. . .or, that environment was comfortable and pleasant while he was a kid. Things changed pretty drastically after he became an adult; more specifically, after he came out. He ended up leaving his hometown behind, hopping from one motel to another. Though he worked various odd-jobs, he also quickly learned to pick pockets in order to survive.

By the time he had a chance-meeting with a few Pentas representatives, Jay had already somewhat dipped his toes into the criminal underground. Mainly via listening to the hurried whispers of passersby, and then trading those memorized details for cash.

Despite what happened to him, Jay has never once questioned himself or felt ashamed of who he is. Even when he was offered a place in The Pentas Family, he was still very much intimidated by them at first. But the support and open-mindedness they showed was quick to seal the deal for him. This in turn led to him (along with Val) having a hand in making sure that any Pentas-owned businesses are clearly marked as safe spaces for queer people.

He is most certainly NOT immune to morbid fascination. True, he doesn’t do any actual killing himself, but. . .well, I wouldn’t put it past him to look over the carnage left after a hit-job, all curious and thoughtful. The cleanup crew has gotten pretty used to him hanging around while they work.

He works at Bullskit, a theater/auditorium that serves as one of the oldest buildings in the Cove Port Inlets (it’s still in business; it was even freshly remodeled when Jay joined the mob). It’s connected to the abandoned subway tunnels, and Jay kinda just lives there after hours. During hours, however, he dabbles in a bit of everything: stagehand, greenroom tech, assistant to the directors, you name it. If a target or enemy happens to get on the stage, Jay isn’t exactly above looking the other way when his peers sneak in to drop sandbags, switch out prop weapons for real ones, rig the special effects, etc.

If you don’t mind me asking, as a fellow Ninjago fan, what ships were eliminated? If only to fill my morbid curiosity

I don’t want to specify any ships that fall under the ‘rarepair’ category since the ppl submitting them were probs just excited and the infodumps were cute but unfortunately ppl who either interact notably/are popular can’t rlly count.

And now I know this ones on me since I didn’t mention it, but no fuckin Harry Potter. With how against HP all the other blogs were I thought ppl would’ve just started assuming by now and not try submitting it. Once again though, kinda on me with not mentioning it.

This one I mentioned though: no real people. I’ve had someone try to submit some YouTubers to me and I do understand that it’s like a persona or something and not ‘technically the guy’, but the line rides too close for me to be willing to accept it. YouTubers count as people. Colonel Sanders is up for debate tho.

I get this is more of just a specification of the rules than an actual list of ships like you probably wanted! But I’d feel bad putting out a list of stuff not getting accepted since I don’t want to put ppl on blast, and for the stuff I don’t mind saying like hp, I just do not remember off the top of my head and do not care abt the ships enough to check them </3

2. my sides are similar but not the same as the sanders sides, instead of Anxiety, theres Shyness, instead of Intrusive Thoughts, theres just my more morbid creativity n curiosity n my Morality leans more towards hypocrisy n being contradictory instead of being moral

6. somewhat ? some sides i associate v heavily w colors (ie: me associating Logic w black n Creativity w white), but for the most part i associate them more w animals than w colors

6.1 specifically i associate Creativity w lions (since shes also my pride/confidence, among other traits), my Morality w chameleons (since, like i said, my Morality is leans more towards being contradictory n hypocritical n chameleons symbolize hypocrisy) i swing between making Lying a fox or goat (foxes also symbolize deceitfulness, n theres a reason why Satan n Demons, which im pretty sure are often described as deceitful in most Christian/religious texts, are often depicted w goat like features such as hooved feet n horns), Shyness is a porcupine (cause porcupines tend to be quite shy irl), Beliefs is a bull (since bulls do sometimes symbolize stubbornness), my Morbidity/Dark Creativity w vultures (cause thats the only animal i could think of thats "morbid) n my Logic is a crow/raven cause ravens n crows are often associated w smartness

16. one trait im definitely giving my Morality is speaking in riddles n singing songs related to whatever problems arise, she rarely explains how the song/riddle relates to the situation or why it brought it up in the first place, due to this sometimes it takes days for the others to realize what it meant

all my sides use different sets of pronouns, all of which are just different sets that i currently use, those pronouns are: Creativity uses she/he/it/ve/create/draw, my Morbidity/Darker Creativity uses he/they/blood/gut, Morality uses she/it/they, Logic uses all neos but not she/he/they, Shyness uses he/him, Lying uses all pronouns, including all neos n Beliefs is she/it/bull/strong/vir/virgo/he

all of my sides can shift into the animals i associate w them !! they can even change their sizes :), so Logic can make xemself a really big or really small corvid depending on its mood, Creativity can make herself as tall or as short as it wants, etc

they dont have names !! (so Logic isnt called Ethos, Creativity isnt called Clementine or whatever) they just call themselves by their "roles" such as Lying or Beliefs or Morbidity or whatever, this is why i avoided calling them names this entire time :) !!

Posting my D&D sessions’ notes here so that I can find them

Who are the characters:

My character- Mordia the Morbid, an orc cleric of the war-god Gromgore, thinks she's a prophet of his work. She is modeled after a Gospel Church Woman (HALLELUJAH!)

Jade's character- MiMeow Swiftpaw, a panda-person monk, who wants to be the next top chef in Azaroc (the world). She is modeled after Kungfu Panda

Born's character-Kazinutarmingahnis (we're calling him Kaz or Nis bc wtf is that name?), the kobold (think Mushu from Mulan) wizard

Sephie's character- Kaida, a halfling mage (not sure what type yet and she won't tell us) that loves fire

Lindsay's (one of my besties) character- Cat Damon, a tabaxi (cat that talks and walks on 2 legs) rogue, is modeled after Puss in Boots and is a grey/white version of him. My character continually calls him "Pickles" and insists that he's her pet. Cat Damon is tied to my character to repay a debt to her

Aeris's character- Valida, a sun elf fighter with some magic

We meet at a tavern/inn in the city of Elthor

wow who hasn't started in a tavern before

Captain Sanders (ship- Crimson Maiden) took us from Elthor Inn (Tipsy Mast) to Mist Marsh to answer our summons

Also, there were some griffons

Gator Bait (the groundskeeper) picked us up

we were not fed to gators

we meet the mysterious benefactor, Lord Hunter (aka goth boi)

Goth Boi gives us a list of questions to answer

is the castle the source of the mist or just a funnel for it

(now I want funnel cakes, but can I have a funnel cake? no bc it isn't fair season yet)

why could Shariah the dragon not use the mist as a weapon?

(bc she's incompetant, duh)

how do we control the mist?

(but like why are we controlling it??)

who are the dark masters?

(and why the fuck do they have such an edgelord ass name for their group??? what are they? a group of 15 year olds???)

which planes protect us vs have the dark masters?

(do we have to visit all of them?)

How do we stop the dark masters?

(probably with light, but I'm just spitballing here)

if the mist can get in from their planes, can they get in?

(tbh probably)

We meet 2 researchers

they give us the PLANAR RIPPER

Note

Idea: Intrulogical fusion, completely in sync despite being a fusion of Remus and Logan. But Virgil and Patton didn't like it. Virgil because, It's Remus. He shouldn't be with a lightside. Patton because it makes him feel like he failed Logan, after all, hes eith Remus. So they force them apart. But, their roles are switched. Logan looks like King George III, but he has shackles & broken crown. Remus looks like your stereotypical mad scientist. They have no memory of who they once were. -Rayne

I had a lot of fun with this- also I decided to draw Macabre! It also ended up being longer than I intended. I hope y’all enjoy this!

It started off as something small- an idea that Remus had, which Logan was more than happy to try. They were just figments of imagination, after all, it’s not like it was an impossibility. And it took a lot longer than either side believed it should have taken, but they got there.

Logan and Remus fused.

When they first fused, they cried. Tears streamed down their cheeks as they hugged themselves because it just felt so incredible, so loving. They hadn’t even looked in a mirror yet, but it felt right, being together like this. They fell to the ground just hugging themselves, rocking back and forth. He wasn’t them, though, and both Logan and Remus knew that. They could feel that. And when he looked in the mirror, that’s when they fell apart.

Logan and Remus were choking back tears of their own as they held one another, crumpled on the floor of Logan’s room. Remus buried his face into Logan’s neck, grinning wide as he laughed almost hysterically.

“I can’t believe that worked!”

“I can’t believe how that felt.”

The silence stretched on for a moment as they collected themselves until Remus broke it, pulling away from Logan slightly. “I want to do it again.” He said, reaching up to play with Logan’s hair. “Can we do it again, Lolo?”

Logan smiled the softest Remus had ever seen him smile, and he nodded. “Yes, whoever that was, it felt great. I would do it a hundred times or more.”

Remus giggled before leaning in, pressing a gentle kiss to Logan’s lips before they fused once again.

And so, Morbidity was created.

Morbidity stayed hidden for a long while, and Remus and Logan felt strange each time they unfused. They felt lonely, more so than they had before fusing. Remus had correlated it to how Ruby felt when she and Sapphire unfused and Ruby had gone on that adventure. And Logan couldn’t agree more. Being Morbidity was intoxicating, because when he formed, neither felt lonely or unloved anymore. And Morbidity felt more love than when Logan and Remus spent time together unfused.

Morbidity just felt right.

Morbidity didn’t want to unfuse anymore. Logan and Remus didn’t want to be apart, not when they were constantly torn down and ignored. So they stopped unfusing, and Morbidity stayed in his room. His own room! He had been shocked when it had formed but felt overjoyed nonetheless. Because it meant he was a part of Thomas, a true part of him! But with the new room, that meant that the others would start to notice. And they did.

Macabre, the name Morbidity found he liked most when brainstorming, was peacefully watching a documentary about some of the worst crimes ever committed to date. He was fascinated with how the killers had gotten away with it for so long, and how all the evidence from the buckets of blood that had needed cleaning up to the finest of hairs left behind all played a roll in solving the cases. He was writing a novel, a murder mystery, and wanted it to be as exciting and puzzling as possible. So research was needed.

That’s when his door was opened, no one knocking as it slammed against the wall. Macabre flinched at the sound, finally looking away from his television and notebook littered with notes and random, horrific doodles.

Standing there was Roman, stunned when he saw Macabre, dual-colored eyes staring into his green ones. “Um…”

Then Patton peered over his shoulder, confusion flashing across his face. “A new side?”

Macabre laughed, and it sounded like glass shattering. “Not a new side, Patty-cake. Merely an experiment gone extremely well!” Macabre stood, stretching and hearing his bones pop and feeling the pins and needles in his feet creeping up his legs. How long had it been since he last got up? He made a mental note to set a timer so that his limbs wouldn’t fall asleep like this again.

“…. Experiment?”

“Who are you?”

“What are you?”

Macabre frowned only slightly, fixing his glasses. “I’m Morbidity! I would say it’s great to finally introduce myself, but I believe your facial expressions aren’t the proper reactions one would want.

"And I was an experiment. Not one any longer, though! Remus and Logan sure enjoyed doing them. Maybe I should try it out too!”

“You’re behind Logan disappearing?!” Virgil’s voice raised a few octaves as he started on at the fusion. Macabre crossed his arms, now frowning completely.

“I’m not behind anything. And Logan didn’t disappear. Not completely.”

“What does that even mean?”

It seemed Roman knew the answer to Patton’s question, though, because he broke from his daze to answer. “Correct me if I’m wrong, Morbidity, but you’re a fusion.”

Macabre smiled. “Right you are, Roman! Oh, I knew you would remember. Remus didn’t think you would, but I knew you would.” He clapped his hands together, once.

“What’s he talking about Roman?” Virgil asked.

Roman only briefly looked at Virgil, offering a small, half-hearted shrug. “Remus brought up the idea one time that maybe sides could fuse. I just brushed it off, but it was definitely one of his good ideas.” He turned back to Macabre. “So… You’re a fusion of Remus and Logan?”

“Morbid Creativity and Logic sure go quite well together, don’t you think? Both always ignored, finding that they are the outcasts of their supposed families, and finding love in one another. It really shouldn’t be a surprise that they got along so well.”

“Wait wait wait, Logan fused with… With Remus?” Patton looked absolutely horrified.

“Well, they were dating for a year before they made me. But yes.”

“They were together?!”

“It really isn’t hard to believe, Patton.” Macabre glanced at his nails, painted as though they were dipped into blood. “Now, unless you three are interested in watching this documentary with me, can I get back to work?”

“We still have-”

“What are you working on?” Roman cut off Virgil, approaching Macabre. He shot Virgil and Patton a slight glare when they tried to protest. Because he could feel the anger and frustration, and even the panic radiating off the pair. “If you two even think of pushing Morbidity to talk, by the way, I’ll let Thomas know why I actually chose to go to the wedding.”

That sent the pair off, and Roman sat down with Macabre, the door closing. If this is what Remus and Logan wanted, to be together like this, then Roman would support it. He wasn’t in any place to judge though, considering just this morning he and Deceit had attempted to do the same.

It suddenly became very different around the Mind Palace, what with Macabre (or Copypasta’ as Roman and Deceit had taken to calling him after seeing Macabre’s love of creepypasta) having introduced himself to Thomas not long after the others had ventured into his room.

Thomas didn’t really mind Macabre, while he sometimes felt uncomfortable by the insane amount of violent knowledge he had, knowing about certain chemicals and their reactions to drinks was definitely helpful when attending bars. Especially when his drink shifted in color just slightly, and Thomas knew not to drink, because Macabre had remembered a case where someone had drugged their date. And Macabre got along with Deceit and Roman just fine(though the two still hadn’t come out yet).

Patton and Virgil, though? They were furious. They were absolutely livid that Logan would even agree to ever fuse with Remus. Logan deserved better than Remus, in their eyes.

They fueled one another, Virgil and Patton. They fueled the negative thoughts towards Macabre. He shouldn’t exist. He should have never existed in the first place. Logan was too good for Remus. What could Remus possibly offer that Logan would want, anyway, that Logan didn’t already have? The others had been working on showing their appreciation of Logan. Virgil and Patton had worked on not cutting him off, and Virgil had tried listening to him a bit more. Patton had stopped laughing at a few jokes Roman made about Logan.

And then there was Remus. The imbalance of negative and positive ideas was weird. Because Macabre wasn’t intrusive, not to the extent Remus had been. Now, Remus’s gruesome ideas were rationalized or internalized, suppressed in Macabre until he could jot down the idea and either write or draw the thought. Everything just felt wrong.

So they devised a plan, about three weeks after Macabre had been found by them.

Virgil had been horrified by Patton’s idea at first, listening reluctantly as Patton explained to him how to split a side. Because even if Virgil hated Macabre being together, and didn’t like Remus, he still remembered what the split had done to the twins. And he worried how that would affect Remus, going through another split. But Patton persuaded him, claiming that if all the facts that Thomas knew were tainted, were bad, then Thomas was a bad person. And Thomas couldn’t be a bad person, he just couldn’t. So Virgil agreed.

He doesn’t remember it much, though. He purposely forgot Macabre’s scream as he was quite literally torn apart. Virgil blocked the image of Macabre’s agonized face from his mind, keeping it a blurred memory that could have been a dream. He felt sick at the thought that he did it, but the idea that Logan would come back was enough to keep him from stopping.

Patton though was completely unfazed.

However, they didn’t get the outcome they had wanted.

Remus and Logan had indeed been split, that much was clear. But they weren’t Remus and Logan, not the ones that Patton and Virgil wanted.

They were pushed out of the way by Roman and Deceit, who had finally broken into the room that Virgil and Patton had sealed off. It looked so incredibly wrong, and to say Deceit and Roman were angry would be an understatement. They were bursting with rage as Logan and Remus finally stopped whimpering, the pain no longer overwhelming them. They cradled the two sides, all the while having a shouting match with Patton, Virgil making no attempt to defend his actions.

Roman held his brother tightly, though Remus only blinked at him in confusion, and once Deceit and Roman had stopped arguing with Virgil and Patton, they had turned their attention to the two sides, taking them in. The guilty pair sunk out to their own rooms, leaving Roman and Deceit with the new Logan and Remus.

Though they didn’t even know Logan and Remus were their names.
