"Many years ago, you helped me overcome my fears. You owe me nothing in return for helping you, my friend."
Today is @vesprynna 's birthday, and as always that means birthday art! This year featuring her blue Oni Taiga, sharing a moment of quiet with his love Noriyo, and his tengu friend Minoru.
The two youkai both share a bond over struggles living with mortals. Many years ago Taiga helped the younger tengu overcome his fears, to face the person he loved, which allowed them to eventually start a life together.
Now Taiga struggles revealing his true self, and he even struggles to accept that Noriyo loves him regardless. But together they remind eachother that their struggles can be overcome. Minoru offers Taiga another feather, like he did as thanks all those years back. But this time it's because they are friends.
10 years of friendship! Art! And fun! Have a wonderful day Vespy! ❤️🌸
I held an interesting conversation with a monster today. He was sitting on top of my toilet when I went in at 2 am. He was shy and vanished under the light of my phone so I couldn't see him properly but I think he was green and some kind of a chameleon hybrid. I told him about my problems with naming my main character and in return he thoroughly scolded me for having such an appalling sleep schedule.
Sometimes I see a post that I recently reblogged doing rounds in another 'clique' on Tumblr I belong to (not the original one I got the post from). And though I am far too lazy to trace it's history, I like to believe I introduced that post to a new ecosystem.
Like yes, yes, here you are, little post. These people will love and treat you kindly. Go forth and flourish.
And then I see multiple blogs from the new ecosystem with that post and I'm like: you have rooted well, little post.
