Today is @vesprynna 's birthday, and as always that means birthday art! This year featuring her blue Oni Taiga, sharing a moment of quiet with his love Noriyo, and his tengu friend Minoru.

The two youkai both share a bond over struggles living with mortals. Many years ago Taiga helped the younger tengu overcome his fears, to face the person he loved, which allowed them to eventually start a life together.

Now Taiga struggles revealing his true self, and he even struggles to accept that Noriyo loves him regardless. But together they remind eachother that their struggles can be overcome. Minoru offers Taiga another feather, like he did as thanks all those years back. But this time it's because they are friends.

Had a secret Valentines event on a small art discord with friends, and I got to draw @vesprynna 's character Storyteller ❤️

I had been wanting to illustrate Kamelot's Stories Unheard for a while as well, so inspiration struck and I drew this with the song in mind. I definately recommend listening to it 🥰

🌻✨The Lady of the Towers✨🌻

The Lady Alusys Prulove of the Towers portraied as the Empress Tarot. For my dear friend @vesprynna as a supporter gift on ko-fi ❤️

The empress is a strong, feminine and motherly figure. A kind and wise ruler who have traveled, studied and learned, who readily offer her advice to guide others. Her symbol of power is the lyre, representing her connection to magic and culture. She is crowned by 12 stars, connecting her to the cosmos and the greater wisdom of the gods. Surrounding her is Peonies and Sunflowers, who symbolize prosperity, good fortune, wealth, happiness and unwavering faith.

This was such a joy to work on. I am always delighted to draw Alusys so when Vespy asked me to draw her I was delighted 🥰 Thank you so much for the support!

Idk I'm just practicing being loud and proud about my OCs, getting a lil simpy for them. If I don't simp for them, who will? Just doing what a good OC mommy would. Learning to live the "cringe but free" life 😌🙌💖

“Can you dance, Sir Volmarek?” Kyria asked. Sir Volmarek tilted his helmeted head towards her.

“I suppose we shall find out,” he said and took her tiny hand in his much larger one as he spun her gently on the spot, “At any rate, I suggest you stand on my feet. To avoid me crushing yours,” he laughed.

I haven’t drawn these two in way too long, so it was about time I revisited them. Kyria and her stoic, but loyal guard, Sir Volmarek are heading off to the OC Winterball hosted by @faebelina in their shiniest outfits <3

✨🌻The Journey Home🌻✨ Today is my friend @unicornia93's 30th birthday, so of course a gift is in order! Toot toot the birthday floot, haha! 🥳

I decided to draw our DnD OCs Alusys, Gaeril and his wolf companion Fang, riding homeward to Gaeril's mother. We finally met her last session. Needless to say a very emotionally charged moment between mother and son when they met again after being separated for years. Loredh's interactions with Alusys were also so sweet, the two drank coffee, talked and made clothes together (Loredh is a seamstress and weaver). It really inspired me, and I thought the idea of Ally and Gaeril traveling back to his home in Lunalucia would make a nice gift for Uni 🥹 💕

A while ago I shared some OCs I had simmering in my brain juices after watching OFMD and Pirates of Darkwater again, and... I finally found some names and began writing a bit on their story. It's a work in progress, but I'm having fun world building with them so far ^^

Randa is a young Sun elf living on a remote island paradise, but despite his idyllic homeland, he keeps gazing out at the ocean, wishing for more. Engrossing himself in tales of daring adventure, exciting seafaring and treasure hunting, his dreams of a life beyond his island rests on the wings of the gulls that fly out to sea. Across the very same ocean, sails a charming and mischievous pirate captain by the name of Baltan. Making friends and foes alike, he and his crew travel far and wide in search of treasure and adventure. Their freedom is highly cherished, and while Baltan feels like he should be satisfied with his lot in life... something still feels like it's missing.

As fate will have it, the two men will cross paths for better or for worse. Will Randa find the freedom he desperately craves, and will Baltan finally discover the treasure he's always been missing? Idk, I guess we'll find out eventually -_(ツ)_/¯

Thalania drew a shaking breath while readying her bow. She was trembling, and as her emotions spilled over, streaking her cheeks with tears, she cried out. "Please don't make me do this! I thought we were friends!” My DTIYS entry for @bambilene-doodles of her OC Thalania :)

✨🌿Mielikki's Chosen🌿✨

I finally got around to joining @unicornia93 's DTIYS! She's hosting over on IG to celebrate her 30th birthday which was in June 🎶✨ Those who have followed me a while will probably recognize this guy as her Dnd OC Gaeril 👀

Here he is in fierce battle alongside his friends, while his god Mielikki's avatar prances above, guiding his way ✨

Below the cut is a side by side comparison with my entry for Unicornia's first DTIYS in 2020, which this one is a callback to👀✨

Gaeril has grown and matured in our campagin, so I wanted to show his growth through the years with my new DTIYS🥰

At first he's a withdrawn, insecure apprentice druid, but in time Gaeril learns of his fate as one of Mielikki's chosen and what potential he can truly reach ✨ It's kinda fun how this became a Old vs New redraw meme too 😂

She had never seen Pike cry before, but the anger and sorrow reflecting in his eyes were almost too much to bear. The weight of his body pressed against hers, and Ala pushed back.

“No, Pike! You can’t go down there! You’ll get yourself killed!” she cried in protest, and after a few seconds his fight died down. He knew as well as she that there was nothing they could do to stop the inferno the dragon had unleashed on his home. How would a simple goblin and a young woman armed with a knife fight a dragon anyway?

So these are some new OCs named Ala and Pike in a mostly made up scenario I came up with while working on their story! They’re from the same universe as Calatar and Iva. Pike and Ala met after her village was attacked and raided by a false goblin king with the help of the rest of Pike’s clan.

Being the headstrong woman she is, Ala offers herself as a sacrifice to protect her family and home. Luckily, not all goblins are evil and she and a goblin named Pike grow quite fond of each other. Together they hatch a plan to free Ala, his people and the other prisoners. Little do they realize that the false goblin king is only the pawn of a more formidable foe than either of them excpected...

Ala is also Iva’s not so distant ancestor, so Iva may not be as human as she seems if Ala and Pike get their happily ever after, if you know what I’m sayin’... :] ✨🌸 Ko-Fi || Instagram || Twitter 🌸 ✨

I don’t often share my character development art online, but these two have taken me for such a weird ride... yes, all of these sketches/concept artworks are of the same two characters 💀 You can read more under the cut if you want

Earlier this week I wrote a post for my Ko-Fi supporters about how I create when I have little to no desire to do so, and how I workshopped these two fine fellows. I’ve yet to name them or figure out much of their stories, but I’m working on it. All I know for sure is that they will be pirate boyfriends <:

“Sunny” and “Shark Cat” has been living rent free in my mind since summer last year, and they’ve changed quite a bit since their conception as you can see!

I was originally inspired to create my own characters based on Stede and Blackbeard from Our Flag Means Death, but I didn’t really jive with the elf designs. After re-watching my favorite childhood cartoon Pirates of Dark Water again, something finally clicked into place and I came up with a more alien design for them. The first image is their most current designs and a little sneak peek on two wallpapers I’m drawing of them.

It’s strange to see how much OCs can change over time when you’re not entirely sure of who or what they’ll be, but it’s always fun to see their journey and how they gain a life of their own c:
