Damian enrages a ghost from the GZ after they said there's no one who works harder than them to keep thier city safe. The ghost decides to switch the bats of Gotham with Danny Phantom so now the bats are stuck In Amity Park protecting the place and Danny is stuck protecting Gotham as Phantom.
The bats are playing thier cards close to thier chests cause all of these heros showing up the same time as thier civilian counterparts is going to be super suspicious so they gotta be clever.
Danny in the meantime is kinda freaking out but the ghost had at least told them what was going on before booting everyone out of thier respective dimensions. Luckly for Danny Nightwing is officially Bludhavens hero not Gothams and he and "Agent A" help him learn the ropes properly. Danny is glad to finally have a mentor despite the situation. Nightwing seems thrown when Phantom mentions it and starts asking a lot of questions about both his home life and his hero career back in his home world.
Needless to say neither he nor Alfred are pleased and don't want him to go back. Danny doesn't really wanna go back either but what else could he do?
Turns out he didn't need to cause one bat is scary enough, but nearly the whole flock? Disaster. Especially for Vlad, the GIW and the Fentons.

So previous part here
Danny’s adoption as far as GZ in concerned requires Plas to indergo some trials to prove himself as Danny—debated between being the Future King or exalted as the Will of the Infinite—‘s majority caretaker on the mortal side.
A mentorship is one thing—parenthood is taken far more seriously. Especially for a traumatized child ghost.
So, premise aside, lets begin!
Phantom had been beaming for a while. Everyone knew that. Between the JL spot and having a mentor, Amity “Mittens” Park knew her guard was more content than he’d been in a long, long time.
The city spirit was proud for him. Few kept their cool when it came three ancients appearing on their doorstep.
Her guard had chosen his mortal fright well. Between Undergrowth’s High Priestess and the Pharaoh reincarnation his choice of peers, though limited, was good… but he lacked suitable guiding presences.
There is only so much Amity can do herself. She’s not quite physical enough to manifest, no idea to form her base around. And she is not mortal, so how could she ever help?
As the witness to her guard’s life and death, her vote would hold the most sway, regardless of the Trials’ outcome.
Her wonderful guard found himself a father, she would see that this bond is acknowledged.
Nerves flooded Phantom’s form again. He twisted his tail around Plas’ arm and held Cujo close to his chest.
The JL light side hadn’t caught the implications of his potential adoption. They didnt have the whole story on Danny’s place in the Infinite’s pecking order…
Plas does.
Unfortunately, so does the JL Dark. Which is why Plas was checking over anything he should prepare for them by customs and for the usual rites for Living adopting a “Curtain Child” as Constaintine’s text dubbed Danny and his cohorts.
He’s not sure if he should just… ignore the scholarly term for his kind or not. On one hand, he’s been calling himself a halfa since he stopped saying he was a living boy with ghost powers. He’s hyperliminal—functionally dead on command, as far as Yeti were concerned atleast. He straddles the line of liminal and death, while remaining a living being. Three for one deal and passable as all three and not at once.
Halfas aren’t super rare naturally so much as exterminated en masse in the past, and the word for ‘too dead to be liminal’ that survived was, well, halfa. the slur used to justify genocide.
But his alternative was hyperliminal (which he barely qualifies as given he transforms and liminals just exist as ‘merged’ with the opposite natural state (be it mortal side or infinite) and the bucket of issues of using the wrong medical term as a species indicator. Or “Curtain Child” which. No.
Where was he? Oh right, finding Plas before the Trials and his death day and the ‘clock’ starts.
“Patro?” Danny began as he flew into the room.
Zatanna’s eyebrows shot up. Constantine turned to him slowly. Deadman was too happy for Danny’s taste—the off-ecto leaving a sickly sweet-bitter blend in the back of his throat.
“You good kiddo?” Plastic man ran a hand though Danny hair while Danny looped his tail around his arm.
He leaned into it.
“Just nerves. Mittens already approved, but Grandfather can be… intense. So can Auntie Dora, and Nocturne is a wild card on a good day… those three claim parental fright rights and all over me and my dumbass agreed before i understood since i was new and Ember and Kitty and Johnny didnt know i didnt know and—“
Plasticman hummed louder than usual, glancing at his phone and opening one of those boring adult apps Danny can’t be bothered with at the moment.
Patro whistled. “No wonder, why don’t we head back home? Ellie and most of your fright will be there.”
Danny made a small noise of protest, but let his Patro lead the way to the zeta tubes.
“Your doctor said if you can’t be in your usual haunt for this, you should at least be in your nest back home, before the symptoms get worse.”
Danny huffed, looking about the stars. He wanted to fly among them but Patro said not until after his Death Day and they can see the affects.
So two days.
Basically forever.
Jazz raised an eyebrow at Ellie, Sam and Tucker. All flopped down in Danny’s “not a nest” of blankets and star projection lamp.
The stray cacti pots and tech were not unnoticed.
Not were Ellie’s pictures of her travels.
Jazz put bearert and danny old lego starships in before he got back.
“Any preferences on what disaster smoothies we give Danny?” Jazz began. “He’s not allowed chocolate during this time—and we cant give him caffeine so no teas, energy drinks and coffee…which Nasty Shake horrors are we unleashing?”
“Lunchlady already swung by with some sandwhiches,” Penny answered from the hallway.
Jazz opened and shut her mouth, forgetting that she didnt need to be in charge of things this time.
They have reliable adults.
Weird.
Good weird, but still weird.
“That covers ecto food, not what he needs on the living side,” Sam answered while typing away on her phone. “Best Red agreed to watch Amity for the week solo and send any updates of GIW and Fenton activity.”
Patrick slipped in with an anxious, seven tailed Danny in ghost form.
“And Technus is in their tech, so he’s having a blast destroying their mainframe and plans.”
“Good for him.” Patrick herded Danny into his blanket nest.
“Patro,” Danny huffed, looking to his frightmates for help.
“Oh no, your dad, your problem, remember?”
“Don’t make one excuse for you when you got caught hacking sulker and this is what i get?”
“Yep.”
“Some best friend,” danny grumbled, rubbing his arm as he began to burrow under a galaxy blanket and turned on his lamp.
Patrick turned off the lights.
“So as the lead of in best friend olympics—“
“Hey!”
“—i say we plot our revenge. Jazz, Ellie, you two dont have to join but we will accept suggestions.”
Jazz smiled as Danny relaxed, skin bursting with nebula freckles more puddle than person.
Patrick isn’t dumb.
He knows he’s being tested by the gods the second he closes the door.
He has to get the Master of Time, the Guardian of Hope and Sleep Soother(? He’s still not sure what title to use for this flavor or sandman) to approve during a trial each of then get to run.
He smiles at Penny before time freeze and the cursed Eyeballs nab him and complain about him ignoring procedure and blah blah blah.
Do they ever get tired of hearing themselves talk?
He doesnt think so…
A familiar council appear before him, for once less riddled with the eyeballs of bureaucratic nonsense and attempted murder. On one side a too familiar yeti waved enthusiastically at him from the side, while the horned cosmos man next to him flopped onto the table unmoving.
On the other side there was a familiar set of armor on an excitable giant who should be on Danny-Sitting a week after his death day. his least favorite trickster had the same grin on that meant Plas would be refereeing Dan and Danny’s “visits” where Dan chose to be a menace about fixing paradoxes and demanded Danny ask more questions while Danny just… did as the weird ageshifter asked before stealing another batch of cookies for himself and hoarding them from his frightmates.
The blue four armed lady in the middle clapped her hands together, waking up the other occupants in the room.
Plas still wasnt sure if said being was related to Wonder Woman or not. both were (sort of) daughters of Zeus but something about dead one being made from all the greek gods available? He tries not to think about it, and roll with the Infinite’s insanity.
“Welcome Plasticman,” a four armed woman began. “We have gathered here to test you to your limits and judge your worthiness as our little star and his moonbeam’s mortal-side parent.”
“Told you we should have tested the first ones,” grumbled the horned man. “Their subconscious was a hot mess and we all know what they turned his holidays into.”
The armor suit made disgruntled sounds on the side, grabbing for a dimension dumping sword.
“Danny was not ready,” the trickster stated. “If he was to leave his caregivers, it will always have to be on his own terms. Especially given his core’s state.”
“He would have accepted it if you let me have Jazz bring up the idea sooner,” Nocturne complained, turning to Clockwork’s child state with a scowl.
“But no. Not part of the plan. Like all your plans actually work out Mr. time madness”
“I have it under control.”
“For the moment,” Frostbite added in. “But you have relapsed before, and now the Great One acts as the counter and has lessened the load.”
“You’re forgetting my second ward.”
“We dont speak of him when it is not a matter of his parole,” Pandora interupted. “Especially when we are here to be certain that Danny is not allowing another, what was that word he like to use to describe the other halfa?”
“Fruitloop,” everyone else chimed in.
“… yes. To ensure no kore fruitloops and otherwise unfit parental figures are able to mistreat, neglect or abuse Danny and Danielle.”
“So, do i need a number 2 pencil for the test, or is it trial by combat or,” Plas listed off absently, watching the five carefully.
“We have each designed a trial or test of our own design. You will begin now.”
Next here
So, any ideas for the trials Plas has to go through?

We've seen DP and DC be different universes where Danny and Valerie are the only heroes in DP, but there are thousands of heroes in DC. We've seen where DP and DC are in the same universe, and Amity Park just thinks the Justice League are ignoring them.
But what if DP and DC are different universes, BUT Danny and Val aren't the only heroes?
If we treat superheroes as basically cops/military with superpowers, then we can infer what heroes would be like using cop/military statistics. You could even use My Hero Academia society as a basis. Things like "heroes are more interested in protecting private property than serving the public" and "Heroes have high levels of PTSD and physical disability and aren't helped after they retire" are common knowledge in Danny's universe.
And specifically, the one I wanted to make clear for this prompt: In Danny's universe, heroes are highly likely to abuse their family/sidekicks outside the mask.
Suddenly, Danny's in the DC universe. For a low-stakes reason; if he's there because the DP universe imploded or his parents tried to kill him, he'd be too concerned about himself to act on his instincts. No, Danny's there for a vacation and there are so many heroes and kid heroes that he feels sick.
Maybe he catches Batman being rough with his kids, or overhears Superman "belittling" Superboy (Conner). Nevertheless...
Danny ends up thinking that all the Justice League are abusing their sidekicks and families and becomes a villain to save them.

i love the idea/headcanon that Clockwork will kind of just…throw High/Ghost King Danny at a dimension to fix their shit
oh, author doesn’t like x y OR z in fandom a? have Clockwork cryptically tell Danny to go through That Door at This Exact Time and hang about for a lil while, give it a bit and the overworked, caring, sarcastic, overpowered king of the dead will refold that lump of a fitted sheet to perfection
got a problem with canon? slap some Phantom Flex Tape on that bad boy! make a hole in canon? hit it with that trusty Phantom Flex Tape!

trying to nail down eli's character rn (aka my fanon version of danielle)
so here are some characters i can see her taking after
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#i'm considering rolling youngblood's character into hers since i'll be honest as a character he rlly isn't THAT#distinct or unique enough where i don't think much would be lost if i were just axe him and fold him into eli's character#him and dani are both child characters who show up have 2 eps where they're plot relevant#again they're not like SUPER well defined as characters#they both just kinda act like your standard child character in a cartoon would imo#so the backstory i'm currently brainstorming for her is that instead of being danny's clone she's a girl that went missing a couple yrs ago#and was never found she's basically a runaway who tragically died and likes to play pretend/read books as a form of escapism#from the crappy life she had when she was still alive and living w her parents#ig if you're wondering as to why she's not a clone here is bc imo i think valerie could've served danielle's role in the narrative just fin#had the writers actually fleshed out her mentee/mentor relationship w vlad actually#so in my eyes it's not necessarily plus why have vlad idk like try to actually emotionally manipulate danny after bitter reunions#and get him back into his good graces instead having him yk make clones or w/e#like i think it's funny how vlad's like 'man i rlly want danny to abandon his father and be my son'#(proceeds to do literally NOTHING to make that happen bc he continues to just be an asshole to his nephew once he knows the truth lol)#also for as much as i extend sympathy to maddie/jack bc to me they're brown immigrant parents who are clearly flawed but trying#i don't want eli to get adopted by them simply bc yeah no offense maddie/jack but you guys literally fucked up the 2 kids you did have#so maybe let's not add a 3rd one to the mix ok#also i should mention that eli's name is a nickname (her given name is elizabeth but doesn't rlly like going by it anymore)#robi rambles

Maddie and Jack Fenton get a wake up call, and it's in the worst possible way.
Their son got caught up in a plot via a Supervillain, and he and a bunch of other teen heroes are trapped in a room slowly filling with water. The Supervillain is broadcasting the footage to the world, and just letting it play. Forcing heroes to watch their mentees die.
The teen heroes can't get out.
Until their own son, Danny, takes a deep breath and orders them all behind him. That he can do something. But they'll have to handle the rest.
Then, Danny screams.
The wall is blown clean off.
The teen heroes swoop in to drag him along, and they leave the room.
What the teens don't know, however, is that the cameras throughout the entire facility are recording and broadcasting as they come into view. Apparently, the Supervillain had accounted for this and wanted to broadcast them dying from other traps.
But the professional teen heroes are doing a great job clearing everything out.
Danny is...looking unwell.
Jack and Maddie are concerned. They didn't know he was a Meta, so he definitely didn't practice that power; had he pushed himself too hard?
Then the teen heroes notice and start asking.
Danny answers.
He's terrified of his parents finding out he's a Meta. He has a contingency to run away if they do. He says his parents are only focused on their inventions and hunting a certain group of interdimensional beings. That because of his abilities and Ecto-contamination, their weapons keep hurting him and they refuse to get rid of them, so he clearly knows what they value more.
That they might think he's possessed and harm him to "fix" him.
That he has nightmares about waking up on the operating table in their basement, cut open with his organs missing.
That whenever he sees his mother holding a knife or his father holding a gun, he has to fight the urge to run for safety.
And Jack and Maddie, being stared down by Black Canary and Green Arrow (who had been sent to comfort but are now bracing to protect their own son from them), feel like someone has carved out their own organs.
They have to be better.
TLDR: Danny almost gets got by a Supervillain plot meant for others teen heroes he was around as a civilian, he knows he's being recorded in the beginning and uses the Ghostly Wail to break the walls to escape, and kinda sorta trauma dumps on the teen heroes not knowing he's forcing his parents to watch and listen to him list all their failures in 4k.

"And? What did you decide on?" Duke asks, fork slipping from his mouth and chewing, focused on Danny.
The boy in question hums. "Oh yeah, I'm totally joining in on the nightlife."
The statement has all of them stopping in their tracks, blatantly staring at the still eating boy.
"This will be my emo arc, daylight vigilante turned dark."
Tim snorts, Jason gives a smirk, nudging the eldest sibling next to him from his frozen state.
"Ooooh," Steph leans forward. "Have you decided? Bat or Bird?"
"New name?" Cass jumps in on the questioning with a small smile, eyes crinkling.
"Will you be joining us tonight then, danyal?" His twin speaks up for the first time during dinner, eyes narrowed and calculating.
"Yes." Is the short reply, with the way damian's lips turn down and displeasure makes itself clear, the intention of giving such a short answer has been met.
"Danny," Bruce gains the attention, leaning forward with his fingers interlocked and brows furrowed with what must be worry.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured into this just because everyone else is—"
"I'm more than sure, B!"
The man sighs. "And I won't be able to stop you?"
"Mhm." He gives a nod.
"Okay," his shoulders sag in defeat. "Do you have everything then—?"
"Yep!"
"Even—"
"B, I'm pretty sure I got everything, you can, if in your opinion I am missing something, give it to me later!"
Danny grins, pushing himself up from the table and rounding around towards the door.
"Besides! My whole get up will be a suprise!! So stay awake folks because I'm gonna blow ya all away."
As he leaves, Steph and Duke make sounds of anticipation, curiosity eating at all of them.
(They dont know whats gonna hit 'em.)
"I'm betting 50 bucks that he's gonna be a bat."
Alfred shakes his head at the newfound excitement.
What an exciting night.
There is still no sight of their newest, despite oracle's teasing, having apparently already been included in the suprise.
"Well well well," a sly, yet teasing voice makes itself into the open. Catwoman, in all her glory, walks up to the group of bats and birds.
"If it isn't the bat, what's with the gloomy face?"
Batman gives her a nod. "Cat."
Her eyes roam the group and she tilts her head. "Everyone seems to be here tonight." She comments.
"We're waiting," the man shares. "Our newest decided to be more secretive about his debut."
Catwoman gives him a smug smirk. "So I have heard," a chuckle. "I've come here to introduce you to someone, truthfully."
"Oh? Who is it?" Nightwing perks up, having finally decided to join in.
"Me."
Some yelp, whip their head around and away from the lady in black, gasps and cooing (particularly from steph) fill the roof and Danny joins them.
He wears black combat boots, they're heavy just from the look, but make no sound as he jumps around. The front of the boots look like cat paws, they're reaching up to his knees.
Then comes the baggy black pants, knees protected by poleyn and his belt acting as a cats tail. The hoodie he is wearing is also black, with fingerless gloves (only the middle finger is covered) and reaching up to his neck.
Instead of a domino mask, he wears a hood with cat ears and a dark face mask. Cass claps, knowing fully well he took inspiration from her own get up.
The whole outfit is detailed with orange spots, some parts brown and others grayish.
"Meet my new mentee, Calico."
Danny, Calico, waves.

Danny & Constantine, Orange, Butterscotch Ripple
@imbreonix Prompt fill set #4
It started out as a joke that turned into an actual event: Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day. It sounded absurd, of course it did. The Justice League was hardly work and certainly not a social club, but once it had been said people started to actually think about it. More and more of the heroes were taking on mentorship rolls for the next generation. While the heroes, of course, tried their best to provide what their mentees needed, they were still grown, experienced heroes and their sidekicks were kids.
Kids who lived a life that most could never understand.
Eventually it have been talked about enough in passing and over rushed meals and before meetings that it ended up on the agenda.
“Robin believes it would be beneficial for the younger heroes to know others in the same positions as themselves,” Batman had explained, as if that answered anything. The Big Bat wouldn’t even clarify who Robin was.
But there they were, Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day. It actually was a pretty nice event with snacks, drinks, and several enthusiastic sidekicks. It turned out Robin was Batman’s sidekick.
“Partner,” Robin insisted boldly, whenever the term sidekick was used within his hear range (which was disturbingly good).
The kid was the very opposite of Batman: bright, personable, and always in motion. Flash was more than a little concerned how quickly Robin and Kid Flash seemed hit it off. “They’re plotting something.”
“Hn,” was Batman’s reply, though he was watching the two whispering sidekicks too.
All in all it was a cheerful success.
It made John’s skin crawl. He jiggled the unlit cigarette in his fingers. He didn’t do social events, not outside of bars, and he really, really didn’t want to be here.
“We can just go back to the House,” a small, nervous voice suggested hopefully from behind John.
That was the thing, though, he wasn’t here for his own sake.
“No, we can’t,” John said with a sigh.
“We really can, though. We haven’t even talked to anyone. I bet they haven’t even noticed we’re here—”
“John! I did not think you would be attending,” Wonder Woman said as she approached, a smile in place. A good chunk of the founding members trailed after her.
“Fuck.”
“Yeah, well,” John said with a little shrug. He didn’t admonish the kid for cussing, he didn’t have a leg to stand on there, but by Superman’s puzzled face the Big Blue had clearly heard it. “Figured I had better bring the kid.”
“The kid?” Hal repeated incredulously.
John reminded himself he really shouldn’t punch his teammates.
“Yeah, the kid,” John said. He stepped aside to reveal Danny who had been hiding behind him. “Geist, Justice League, Justice League, Poltergeist.”
“Um, who, Constantine?” Flash asked, sounding nervous.
John looked to his right, which for all appearances, was an empty spot of air. “Seriously, kid?”
“Sorry,” Danny whispered.
“It’s okay, kid,” John said, holding back a sigh. The kid was sensitive to that sort of thing, so John had been trying. (He still messed up plenty, but he was trying.) John looked back the Justice Leaguers and shrugged. “Ghost. Visibility is like that sometimes.
“Ah,” Diana said with a sage nod. John admired the woman for how nothing seemed to phase her. She simply looked to where John had been looking and smiled. “Hello, Poltergeist. Welcome to Bring Your Sidekick To Work Day.”
“Partner!” a kid dressed like a damn traffic light called from across the room where he was talking to who was clearly a mini Flash.
“Oh,” Danny said. (It was clearly weirding out some of the heroes to hear Danny but not see him.) “I’m not… John doesn’t let me help that much? I don’t know if I count as a sidekick.”
“That’s because last time you tagged along you went intangible and fell through a bridge, kid,” John grumbled and then immediately felt bad. “You know we’re working on it.”
“Yeah,” Danny mumbled.
John couldn’t see Danny, not any more than the others, but he could picture the way the kid would be scuffing his toe on the floor, head down as he rubbed at the back of his neck.
John sighed. “Ain’t your fault kid, powers take time to master.”
“Robin,” Batman called.
Immediately the tiny traffic light was literately bounding across the space to stand next to Batman. The kid smiled up at the Big Bat like the man had hung the moon.
“Yes, B?”
“This,” Batman said, nodding to the empty space, “is Poltergeist. He came with Constantine.”
“Oh,” Robin said. He spun to face the spot of air and held out his hand without hesitation. “Come, Kid Flash and I are— um,” Robin shot Batman a look, “talking. You can join us! I bet you will be really useful!”
Flash mouthed the word ‘useful’ with a terrified look on his face, but no one actually said anything while Robin just stood there, smiling, with his hand out. And then Robin’s grin impossibly widened, his hand closed around nothing, and he took off across the room.
“…anyone else worried about that?” John asked after a moment.
“So worried,” Flash said.
“Hn,” Batman added.
“Right then. I need a glass of shitty punch to spike,” John said and abandoned his teammates to find the refreshments. Thank the gods, the fuckers, for hip flasks.
-
“I live with a ghost now, Bats, you’ve got to up your skills if you want to sneak up on me anymore,” John said before taking another sip of his much improved punch.
Batman stepped up into the corner of John’s vision, which felt like such a Bat thing to do, so John felt the placement was very purposeful. John wouldn’t complain, it let him watch Batman without taking his his eyes off where Danny was sitting with Robin, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl. Danny was pretty see through, but he was slowly becoming more visible the longer he spent in the company of the other teen heroes.
“How long have you had him?” Batman asked.
John snorted. “That’s what you go with? Not how it works to fuck a ghost?”
Hal and Aquaman weren’t as quiet as they thought they were, but maybe that was on purpose. Maybe they had wanted John to hear. He just hoped the kids hadn’t. He might not have a clean mouth, but even he had limits.
“He doesn’t have to be your blood to be your son,” Batman said in that certain way of his.
It had John finally glancing over at Batman. It was a lot to admit and John hated to be on uneven grounds. “How long have you had yours?”
No one would ever believe him, but John could swear that Batman almost smiled.
“Nearly five years.”
John hummed and took another sip of the punch. “Only six months, not even. And he’s not my son. Kid deserves better than me as a da.”
“They always deserve better,” Batman said, his voice a low rumble that John swore he could feel in his battered bones. “We just have to try to be better.”
“Yeah, well,” John said with a bitter chuckle. “I’m not you, Bats, I don’t think I have better in me.”
“Yes you do, you’re here, after all,” Batman pointed out.
John swallowed and looked back the kid, his kid. Danny was almost solid now. His white hair floated as he threw back his head in laughter at something Robin had said.
“Yeah… yeah I am.”
---
AN: So. So. This has gotten away from me. I blame Moku. So much blame. I can't promise I'll continue it but there is... there is a good bit of plotting TO continue it. It would be after I get done with City Pigeons Bleed Green though, as that's my current family feels fic.
If it gets continued we have a John/Bruce tired dads with issues slow burn fuck buddies to lovers, Danny and Dick being friends (and family), canon divergence, Tim joins the Bat family early, Bats with magic (and the world should fear them), and Alfred's judgemental eyebrow.

DP x DC Prompt
Danny never wanted to be a hero. He only took up the title of 'Protector of Amity' out of a sense of responsibility of having opened the portal. It did, however, let him discover that he loves helping people. So when he gets adopted by the Waynes and they come clean about being vigilantes, he refuses the offer to suit up and join then but does want to find some way to help. This leads to him becoming Oracle's assistant/mentee.

Introducing the Multiverses best babysitter!
Danny Phantom.
Maybe it starts off as an accident. He watches some ghost or demon kids and word gets around.
Afterall who better to watch Supernatural or super-powered kids then OP Danny.
Need a caretaker to watch your super strong 4 year old who can lift a bus. Or your 8 year old speedsters who have the zoomies.
Danny's your guy.
He'd be like Mary Poppins. Or Nanny McPhee
Perhaps Batman is bemoaning being a single dad who has to keep track of so many kids, kids who WILL NOT stop running off and getting into trouble. He has to leave for an off planet mission that will take a few months, but the absolute chaos be know his children will cause when he's gone is stressing him out.
He hears about Danny, and after a few interviews(read: interrogations) he hires him on.
The poor batkids who figure they can totally give their sitter the slip will be tucked into bed, fed and hydrated before they can even blink.
And yes I'm including the older batkids in this. (Bruce doesn't care that Dick is almost 30, that's his baby.) And Danny is ancient so they're practically all toddlers anway.
Soon, the whole JL has Danny on speed dial to watch over various super children and mentees.

Danny never thought he would enjoy the sidekick/mentee lifestyle but Kori was really cool. She was a adult but she still listened to him and made intelligent, competent and compassionate choices that were genuinely in his best interest. Danny hadn't known adults like that existed.
Starfire was kinda wierd for a ghost though. Phantom couldn't seem to pin down what her obsession was but he guessed that was fine so long as "The Princess of Tamaran" didn't hurt anyone. Plus, not only was she a ghost, she was an alien ghost! Like from a whole other planet and everything!
Aka Starfire gets booted from the DC universe and wanders in to Dannys via Vlads ghost portal. Vlad attacks her and Starfire beats him up, destroying a lot of his visibly unethical stuff, ect. Danny has been her fan ever since.
She did clarify that she was an alien but Danny assumes she's an alien ghost due to her coming from the ghost zone and having some ghost like powers.
Misunderstandings ensue

Plasticman took a deep breath as the… ghost guardians (gaurdian goons?) of his son moved about somehow less organized than a JL and affiliated allies barbecue.
“As the leader—” the blue armed woman began.
“Only due to a technicality,” Clockwork interrupted. “We all know I’m his favorite.”
Plasticman was just glad his son was safely not present to be pressured into answering that loaded question.
“We have been over this,” Nocturne groaned, rubbing his face. “Just because he agreed to be ‘your problem’ so he wasn’t Ended, doesn’t mean you get to claim favorite status.”
“I find myself agreeing with Nocturne,” blue lady continued. “Especially as we all know we Elipis enjoys the name and role my kin have granted him for his achievements outside of the realms as a mortal.”
“And I’ve known him longest,” Nocturne forced his head up. “Frankly, i’m the most knowledgeable on the living and how they tick in this council, pun intended.”
Clockwork lifted his staff with narrow eye as a geezer. Then pointed it as a toddler.
Plasticman flung himself between them, looping around the staff a few times.
He hates being the sensible one in a room of Ancients and adjecents.
“Hey, I’m pretty sure you guys are supposed to be working out my tests. Like, how many am I taking? Do I get a snack break? Is it open or closed book?”
Clockwork gave him a look that Plas knew would bite him in the butt.
“There are five tests,” Frostbite began while taking the staff of time and Plas safely away from the Infinite’s most over the top time trickster.
“Because Amity already gave me her seal approval,” Plas twisted his head upside down, “so you couldnt up it to six or seven, right?”
“And the children are waiting for you as my liege’s deathday nears,” Fright Knight added with his special brand of ‘too courtly to side eye the Ancients but debating it’ abundantly clear. “So your tests have the potential to happen simultaneously.”
“Great,” Plasticman unwound from the staff and returned to his prior spot. “But do i have an answer ok snacks and if medical comes up, am I allowed to phone a friend,” Plas shifted into a phone and shook his phone hand in Frighty s face. “
Or is that trip to the slammer?” Plas asked behind his finger-made jail bars as he rattled a cup against them.
He delighted in Frighty’s huffing and Nocturn’s slight smile.
“The Great One will need my help and will always have it,” Frostbite began. “There is no reason why asking for help should result in consequences.”
“But if he lacks knowledge it could End Dani,” Clockwork stated with that grin Plas knew was going to bite him in the ass.
“And we are not in the business of leaving our children’s safety negotiable,” Pandora intoned.
“So, is there a class for that? Because if I’m not mistaken, none of you are quite sure how to stabilize her if old Frostbite isnt around,” Plas continued, tying himself in knots openly.
“That’s different,” Pandora began.
“Not quite, my lady,” Fright Knight interrupted. “First aide skills are a requirement, but continued stability for one born coreless is a constantly balance they must maintain themselves.”
“Only until they form a proper core for themselves.” Frost bite began. “The extensive care required is not something any one of us can provide, and halfas are always unique in each case given their nature.”
Pandora pinched her brow. “You are not helping.”
“Sorry,” Frostbite shrunk in on himself for a moment. “If possible, i would like to issue my trial first.”
“Lay it on me iced Yeti!”
Nocturne gave him a look. Plas ignored it.
“You are to escort a blob ghost to the far frozen alone. You’ve always traveled the Infinite with The Great One beside you, but if he or Dani are injured their enemies and any number of the Infinite’s predators might give chase.”
Plas gave him a few foam finger sized thumbs up.
Pandora sat taller before addressing him. “And for my trial, we shall see how you hold up against me in combat while escorting the blob to the Far frozen.”
Plas wondered if he could just turn into freshly printed paper, or if that would be inappropriate in the bad way given this is his co-parenting council.
“Okay, when do we start?”
Clockwork grinned with far too much teeth and banged his reclaimed time staff.
“Now.”
Plas huffed as he realized he was dropped into some part of IR—thankfully close to earth if the green sky was any indication… and he has a blob.
The blob—Blobby?— floated up to him and smacked into his face.
“Okay, Frostbite said Far Frozen escort mission—you got any idea which way that is blobby, can i call you blobby?”
The blob twisted in the air and splat against the ground.
“Not a fan of blobby… how about—”
Something shot him in the back.
The blob cowered on the ground.
“Hold on to that thought little buddy.”
Plas twisted his torso around the thing—squishy thing, hot, and oddly light for something that hit that hard…
Wait this is the ghost zone, made of ectoplasm. Which is as multipurpose as carbon.
Ectoplasm. He was wrapped around ectoplasm.
Well, ecto projectile then—oh this was going to be a real blast now!
“Hey little guy, i will be right back, try eating some of this,” plas unraveled himself. “It’s not the best, but my kids eat ectoblasts all the time, might feel a bit grumpy and jumpy after.”
The smushed blob inched to the failed ectoblast while plas looked around. Based on how he was hit, the enemy was in the sky.
Could be Young Blood again, or it could be a real enemy or Worse.
He’s hoping an overeager Young Blood and not Pandora with guns. He does not want to k ow what an ancient of protection, master of battle and keeper (or jailer) of hope.
One eye ran around to see what all the fuss was.
He saw blue flaming hair, Johnny’s infamous motorcycle and a bit of metal and green flames…
What were his chances of catching a ride with one of them once they find out this is a test?
Low.
Skulker likes testing weapons on his son in particular—something about it being important for his development… he does fear Ellie. Especially since Ellie is a menace of the highest degree and was raised in a lab as Vlad’s assistant before everything went down. She knows what not to do and will do it for revenge. He also knows his kids are never far behind him.
Kitty and Johnny won’t want to get on another ancient’s bad side. He’s not sure why Nocturne hates Johnny, but he’s pretty sure it has to do with Jazz—sleep guy has a favorite liminal and holds a nasty grudge whenever it involves Jazz. (And is probably why Vlad has so many night terrors now, if the baby ghost busters’ bugs are a good indicator.)
Ember hates ancients and doesnt like Plas for being “too ghost” for a mortal with no net liminality. He’s an uncanny valley to both sides of the veil, and still isn’t sure if that’s perfect or a shame.
Stealing Johnny’s bike is always ethical. He did vandalize his favorite part of his city and refuse to clean up. Cleaning ecto in any form just sucks—and not in the ‘safe consumption as a living vacuum’ sucks.
Plas walked one finger over to the bike and got ready to reel it in while another set off skulker’s guns in Kitty’s direction. Prompting Johnny and Shadow to go on the offensive and abandon their ride.
He snagged the bike while the four argued.
“Hey Goop?” The blob chimed with a twirl. “Goop it is. We gotta get going, and i grabbed a ride.”
Plas showed off johnny’s bike, and was relieved to see Goop plop down in the side car and snuggle in.
Plas flung the motorcycle into the air and let the GZP map kick in.
He’s just glad its in 2D this time and not 5D that was hard to keep track of the time part.
Then he heard a certain angry warrior yell and kicked it into high gear.
“Hold on Goop! We have an angry spear mom on our tail!”
Goop made a bubbling sound, sinking deeper into the passenger seat.
“You and me both buddy. Think the TimeLocked isles’ markets will be enough to slow her down?”
Goop made a low gurgling sound.
“Well not for a long time, but like an hour or so.
She isn’t one for poofy dresses and Goop do they have a lot of those there.”

Dcxdp idea 112
Clockwork is tired.
Tired of the GIW targeting his son mentee. Tired of the Fenton parent’s threatening his existence. Of agent O and K.
Tired of the flashes messing with the time stream.
They may “fix” it. But it was always still a mess.
When an identity reveal goes wrong. Well he acts. Before it escalated, before Danny’s parents attacked.
Appearing before insert any flash or multiple flashes/kid flash. Clockwork demands they babysit his ward if they want to keep messing with the fabric of time.
This is the following conversation.
Danny: i don’t need a babysitter
Clockwork: there are people hunting you down
Danny: i can avoid my paretns.
Clockwork: and?
Danny: agent k and o have terrible aim
Clockwork eyebrow raised: and
Danny: okay okay okay so an entire group of guys in white
Clockwork:
Danny: fine and the entire US government. But i don’t need a babysitter.

prompt 01: gotham academy's mentorship program
“Mr. Wayne, thank you so much for finding the time to meet with me.” Principal Carson, someone Bruce, became more and more familiar with as the years passed, welcomed him into his office.
“I hope my children aren’t causing you too much trouble, Mr. Carson.” Bruce chuckled lightly, sitting in the guest seat.
“After your generous donations to the school, I would find that difficult to believe.” Mr. Carson laughed conversationally, before getting right to business. “Actually, the reason I wanted to meet with you in person rather than over the phone despite, I’m sure, your busy schedule was to discuss Damian.”
Damian had come to the Manor about a year and a half ago, and had been attending Gotham Academy for almost 9 months. Bruce had hoped that going to school with other kids his age would help Damian become more sociable and learn about larger society outside of the Bat, Birds, and League, but that was proving to be difficult considering the almost regular calls Alfred received from the school about Damian’s behavior or actions.
Bruce couldn’t help the weary sigh that escaped him, “I assure you Principal Carson, we-”
“I think you're misunderstanding, Mr. Wayne. Damian is not in any kind of trouble.” Mr. Carson reassured, “Well, for now that is.” He chuckled dryly.
“Ah.” Bruce nodded, letting his airhead persona take the lead, while still showing that he was paying careful attention.
“In the last few years, Gotham Academy started a mentorship program, where the younger kids usually between the grades of 5-8 can get mentored by their seniors. Damian is a brilliant child, concerningly so I believe. His peers often can’t keep up with him in terms of academics, but he lags far behind them in social skills. I think Damian would benefit from the mentorship program, where he can have someone who can truly keep up with him intellectually as well as guide him socially.” Mr. Carson explained.
Bruce considered this, letting the idea turn over in his mind. Perhaps this is what Damian would need. “You sound like you have someone in mind.”
“I believe the best candidate for the job would be Daniel Fenton.” Mr. Carson handed him the student profile. “He’s here on a Wayne Scholarship, which he’s held for the past year. Mr. Fenton is currently in the 11th grade, his chosen career path is astrophysics, which he plans to pursue into college. His grades are outstanding despite his difficult classes, and his professors all share the same sentiment that Mr. Fenton holds one of the greatest minds in the Academy. He shares many of the same classes with Tim as well. He has a friendly personality and gets along well with most people, pretty athletically inclined as well. All around Mr. Fenton is what Gotham Academy hopes our student to be.”
Bruce looked over the profile in his hand. Daniel James Fenton seemed like an outstanding student. Perhaps it was time to put him to the test with Damian Wayne.
---
When Danny had been called to the office, because apparently they had assigned him a mentee, he had been expecting the worst. All the scholarship students had to sign up for the mentorship program to be on standby if a mentee ever applied. All the other scholarship kids had said it was just a formality and that none of them ever got called for it. But classic Fenton Luck.
When Danny walked into Principal Carson’s office he was prepared to be faces with some snot-nosed brat who wouldn’t know how to take no for an answer and didn’t care about classes because they would just inherit their parents big shot company was what he was expecting.
So imagine his surprise when he walks into a room to a liminal kid, probably around 12, who looks like he wants to be there as much as Danny does. Danny takes one look at the kid who’s trying to project himself as angry and menacing, but Danny could easily read the kid's true emotions of nervous-scared-anxious thanks to their shared less-alive-than-one-would-expect status.
“Daniel, welcome. This is Damian Wayne. He’ll be your new mentee from now on.” Mr. Carson smiled kindly, gesturing for Danny to sit down. The liminal kid - Damian - scowled at him, projecting irritation. But all Danny could feel off of him was nervousness.
Danny was screwed, wasn’t he?
