I have a bit of a ✨️ dilemma ✨️ and I need some opinions please!
Okay, so, a couple of months ago I was evaluated for autism, as I had shown signs of being autistic since I was very young (read: my whole life), but I've also gone through very traumatic events (not my whole life, late childhood and on), so I decided to get tested. The doctor who evaluated me told me that I was three points away from being considered autistic and we went through the evaluation criteria together, when she explained that she felt that what I've been experiencing is all due to trauma and nothing else.
I left the appointment feeling like while that makes sense--trauma alters how the brain works--it doesn't feel like that's all that's going on. I've been showing different signs of being autistic since I was a little toddler. The trauma that happened in my life didn't occur until later, when I was ten and older.
I still feel like it isn't just the trauma. I feel like, deep down, there's always been something more than that going on, but now I'm worried that if I get a second opinion, no doctor will take me seriously. I don't want them to think that I'm fishing for a diagnosis of autism specifically, I just want answers that feel more concrete, if that makes any sense. I know that it could be a host of different things, like ADHD, OCD, high anxiety, a combination thereof--many, many things.
Do y'all think it'd be worth it to get a second opinion, or do you think I should just let it go?

Many individuals only seek medical attention when faced with noticeable symptoms or health emergencies. However, annual health checkups are a vital component of preventive healthcare, playing a crucial role in early detection and intervention.

The primary goal of this type of rehabilitation includes creating a plan to help patients restore their strength and independence, prevent their condition from worsening, reduce their risk of future heart problems, and improve their health and quality of life.

You get wrecked by a Heavy+Medic duo and see one of these taunts before you respawn. How do you react?
(aka: @cursed--alien and I were bullshitting about potential taunts that would kill homophobic gamer boys on sight and these shitty doodles are the result)

We as a society need to stop using the term "psychopath" in discussions of media. Ableism aside it is just not useful.

i hate researching things that are highly variable because i'll try to find an answer to a question and all the search results are like "well the answer depends on like 12 different parameters so there is no direct answer it just needs a professional to evaluate" and i'm like AUGHHGH

I’m not really sure whether or not I’m going to continue with the daily “Explaining Schizophrenia for Non-Schizophrenics.” It’s making them argue again. I think I feel a little better about it when I don’t label it. Whether or not I post another one will depend on my mood later today, but I might still talk about the symptoms in a less formal format like before. I don’t know. I can’t really explain it, but despite having fun with the personal posts, it causes something within me to hurt in a way I can’t quite understand. Perhaps a physical warning that I’ve gone too far? Perhaps my body can no longer handle the bickering and paranoia? Perhaps both? I think I’ll try to come up with a fic to write today, as I have been wanting to write another one, before it really hits. I always think it will. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it fades a little. Anyway, I know I live in a dollhouse and the walls around me present a little differently as I stare at them.
Maybe I’ll speak of clinical psychopathy. I hate labels. Absolutely despise them. Maybe they are just ways to shame those who are different. They certainly become that way. But digital footprint exists. I’ll use a different email.
I’m only using labels like schizophrenia and thought disorder and psychopathy and aaaa because otherwise no one will understand what I’m talking about
It seems they did, though. As I described my experiences I was accepted as one. Ok I’m done now
I predicted this would happen

I don’t know if this is just because my mom was a homeopathic diet fad power-of-positive-thinking woo-woo person but I find it impossible to take virtually any diet-related information I hear online seriously at all, it all sounds equally suspect to me regardless of who is saying it, even doctors, and unless it’s on like webmd I immediately don’t trust it. I don’t know if this is a healthy perspective or not it just feels like medical misinformation is especially rampant online due to the financial incentives to sell vitamin pills and diet supplements to people, to the point that I find even basic assertions like “x type of food is bad for you” non-credible
