What do you think of the Match?

I have no clue what to think of it. In the first book, it was framed as a bad as it perpetuated the segregation and classism between Talented and Talentless elves, along with the way it treated Talentless people and the stigma that came along with it. Though it was never explicitly stated, I also thought it was because of genetic health and to prevent the effects of inbreeding.

In the subsequent books however, it is suddenly framed as being bad because it prevents Sophie from being normal and having a normal life within the Lost Cities. I am very confused because has Shannon Messenger switched the reason as to why the Match is bad?

Do you think this practice must be abandoned? I do not think that it should be because the pros (ie. genetic health) outweigh the cons (ie. discrimination). I think what must be done is that Match Lists are integrated with Talented and Talentless people. Which person has what abilities would not be stated. Additionally, the personality questionnaire is removed because it is redundant. Additionally, on a societal level the two groups must also be integrated. Though there are students who end up being Talentless that go to Foxfire, once they leave they tend not to interact with Talented people because different professions are open to them. It has been shown in certain studies that people treat others more favourably if they consistently interact in their day to day life (ie. jobs, stores, get togethers). An example of an integrated society would be that the schools must allow students to continue their studies until the highest level, regardless of abilities. This would allow them to be apart of the nobility and actually have say in how Elvin society operates.

I remember you made a post about a hypothetical Talentless Stina and I must say that I agree. Her ascension to Regency would have sent shockwaves through the Elvin world and opened so many doors to people who did not have abilities.

I hope that in book nine and ten the Match plot line is addressed and laid to rest in a well thought out way.

I think some of the base concerns of the Match are sensible and are even a necessary feature of elven society, but that the rest of the reasoning and current implementation is harmful and need of reform.

This got long so I'll put my full thoughts under a cut, and there's a summary at the bottom :)

With a world where no one physically ages past early adulthood aside from their ears and everyone has an infinite lifespan, it really is all too easy to end up marrying a relative, as Edaline said. That's a reasonable thing to want to prevent and to create a system to control.

But when it gets to the genetic purity and trying to avoid the spread of certain genes, that's when I no longer agree with it. Pairing people up so they'll have the best genetic potential together for good future generations is questionable at best. It separates the Talentless from the Talented and is a system of such importance to them that anyone who goes against it is eternally scorned and shunned from their world, which is what needs redress.

I agree that the match shouldn't be completely abandoned! I think the service it provides in terms of ensuring you aren't marrying a potential family member is the primary benefit it provides and should be the focus of what they do. So I propose that instead of sticking with the Match as it currently is, there be a sort of genetic/family tree database that's readily accessible by the public so people can see how related or unrelated they are.

This would get rid of the personality questions as you suggested, and this system could integrate Talented and Talentless as well. After all, it would be a database for checking blood relations; that includes both sides. One question I've frequently had about the series is whether or not people who are Bad Matches can confirm whether or not they're related. For example, if you choose to become a bad match despite your lists, is it just accepted that the couple may be related? This way, even if you'd otherwise be a bad match (though in this system they wouldn't exist) you can access that knowledge.

You're correct; the elven world needs to work on integrating the two groups. I say work on integrating because it's going to be a slow process; just restructuring the match isn't going to be enough to shift people's views, and even the match change would only come after significant improvement and change. Consistent interaction like you mentioned would be one of those stepping stones towards things like this. Additionally, giving them an actual say in their world is important, which I think you've already provided an apt solution for. Continuation at Foxfire and entrance to the nobility would be a significant event.

I've answered this slightly out of order, but I think the Match being bad both because of the discrimination and because it doesn't let Sophie be normal are two things that can coexist and actually, I think, are related.

We're first introduced to it as something that Sophie thinks is bad but that doesn't immediately affect her; it affects her friend's parents and lives, but that's not her. So she can be more detached from the situation and view it as a social issue and something she things needs to be addressed. It others people and means they're treated as lesser, and that's what's bad about the system. But she can't do anything about it and is already incredibly out of place, so she doesn't give it much thought.

Then we learn she's unmatchable and now she hates the system for that. Now she's one of it's victims. And she doesn't want to be. Because as horrible as she knows the discrimination is, all she's ever wanted was to be normal. She wanted to stop hearing people's thoughts and stop standing out and just be a regular person. In the elven world, being a regular person means being matched. So despite how she fights back so often, a part of her desperately wants to be in on it all. She doesn't want to deal with match drama on top of everything else. She wants one part of her life that's drama-free.

So I think that Sophie being upset that she's unmatchable and isn't normal actually fits with the original introduction as to why it's bad. The Match is bad because people are discriminated against if they aren't a good match? If Sophie's unmatchable status gets out she'll be discriminated against because of it. The match prevents bad matches from living normal, accepted lives? Sophie won't have a normal, accepted life if she's unmatchable.

It connects, at least from what I can tell. There's the issue of the society at large, then the personal troubles Sophie experiences as a representation of that. But the problems appears to be the same. the way we're viewing it is what shifts.

Summary: I think the checking for relatives is a positive of the Match and should be maintained, it's the genetic purity parts that should be discarded. Talented and Talentless should be integrated, though that will take time. And I think the big criticism with it is how it alienates people and keeps them from living normal lives, something seen in both the macro and micro lenses of their world; Sophie's just one example.

I hope that answers your questions! of course I'm sure there's parts I've missed and things I haven't thought of, so I'm always open to hearing more. There may be other benefits to the match I'm forgetting to prioritize or methods that would be more efficient, etc. It's an interesting topic, to say the least

Ghoul Pack HC 📱

When Copia introduced the ghouls and ghoulettes to ✨ technology ✨ he learnt very quickly that they needed screen time limits and parental controls.

Dew was hooked within the first 10 minutes of using his laptop and stayed on it for 3 days straight. He hissed and scratched when Copia tried to take it off him. He now has a screen time limit of 2 hours a day.

Rain, after being given access to Copia's Netflix account, locked himself in his room with Mountain, all the snacks in The Kitchen's cupboards, and binge watched Every. Single. Nature documentary they could find. They're both only allowed to watch 2 documentaries a day (providing they can find one they haven't watched yet).

Aether was, thankfully, quite sensible. For about a week. At first, he just used his phone for Google and WhatsApp. Searching up medical conditions and sending a screenshot of the description to the other doctors working in the infirmary to confirm if a patient has that illness or not. One day, he noticed one of the nurses wearing a digital watch that counted their steps. He wanted one desperately and asked how he could get one too. He was then shown how to order things offline and he bought his watch shortly after . . . as well as 87 bananas, banana toothpaste, banana socks, a banana phone case, banana shaped earrings, a matching banana necklace, banana shorts, and a plethora of other banana related items. Copia now has to personally approve of anything Aether wants to buy.

Swiss became addicted to his phone solely for the fact he could listen to music whenever wherever. This was not really a problem until he started complaining that he couldn't hear people when they were talking. Aether checked him out and found that he had partially damaged his ears from blasting music 24/7. He now has to wear kids headphones that cannot be turned up to the max. Swiss is not happy.

Cirrus, Cumulus, and Sunnie are no longer allowed to go on Amazon as they bought at least a dozen cans of silly string each and sprayed Sodo's room as payback for screeching at Aurora when she interrupted him on his laptop.

Aurora refused to use Google ever again after Copia found out she had Googled 'boobies'. He wasn't mad, she was just embarrassed. Swiss has offered to teach her how to delete her search history but she never wants to go on the internet ever again.

Phantom doesn't really know how to use technology, even after being taught by Copia. Rain did show him how to print off pictures and that is, so far, the only thing knows how to do. He is no longer allowed to go anywhere near the printers, however, as he managed to print off 103 baby bat pictures from EVERY PRINTER IN THE MINISTRY. The printer code has since been changed.

Info on Future Phantom Thieves

(last updated 5/27/24!)

There are currently several known or suspected future Phantom Thieves, and a few other things that may either be related to one of them, or tied to yet another future thief.

Every character listed here matches the file naming convention used exclusively for teammates (story and Phantom Idol), and in most cases, this is the main reason they're listed here. Some of them may ultimately turn out to be inaccurate, but this list contains all the characters indicated by the files for information's sake.

Technically, Riko Tanemura also falls into this category, but at this point we know enough about her that I graduated her to her own post.

The first is Aran, full name likely "Aran Hirai", though this is unconfirmed. Her first name being Aran is confirmed by it being written in English on one of the keychains she has. Her codename, at least in the files, is indicated to be Polter.

She first appears in the story riding on the train at the same time as Wonder, Motoha, and Ruferu. Wonder and Ruferu unknowingly catch her attention, and she digs around in her bag for her sketchbook as the train is stopped. However, when she looks back, she’s confused to find they’ve vanished into thin air (as they used the MetaNav to enter Mementos and get off the train).

She also makes a brief cameo in the opening animation for P5X (the greyscale image of her above), and there's a cutscene in-game where what seems to be the MetaNav appears on her phone, which takes place after the second Palace ruler's change of heart. All of this heavily suggests she'll be a story teammate.

She appears to wear a school uniform underneath her purple jacket, and her bag has the Kiga High School emblem on it, so she’s almost certainly a high school student attending there.

The next one’s name is partially unknown, though some gossiping girls on the train refer to him as “Ikenami-kun”, so his last name is likely Ikenami. His codename in the files is Enco, and he appears very briefly towards the beginning of the game, then makes a cameo later on. The greyscale image is from the opening animation, and also suspected to be him.

The day after Wonder awakens his Persona, Enco happens to ride the same train that Wonder is taking to school. Wonder overhears two gossiping Kokatsu girls refer to Enco as a “good-looking guy”, then they recognize his uniform as being Kiga High’s, and exclaim he must be Ikenami-kun (implying he has some kind of reputation to be recognized for). He doesn’t visibly react to their gossip in any way, and is only shown reading his book for the entire scene.

He later appears on the same train that Wonder, Ruferu, and Motoha are taking to Shinjuku, for their celebratory dinner after the first Palace ruler's change of heart. He shows no reaction to anything they say or do, and faces away from them the whole time.

Besides being a Kiga High student, his 3D model has a pin with a II on it, so he’s most likely specifically a second year.

The name of the third one is confirmed to be Narumi Nashimoto, and her codename in the files is Liben.

She can be seen during some of Wonder’s Confidant events with Merope. She stands outside a maid cafe in Akihabara, and offers them flyers for the cafe (though Merope's overeager interrogation based on what she's learned about idols does throw Narumi off for a moment). Later, when Wonder and Merope return to the cafe, she recognizes them, and acts as their server. Merope is heavily invested in doing everything exactly as she learned from her research, but this time Narumi takes it in stride.

After a moment, Narumi receives a phone call, and has to step away briefly. The player overhears part of the conversation- she calls the person on the other end her older sister, and tells her there is bento from her part-time job in the fridge. Eventually she comes back, and Merope orders enough food that Narumi gives her a special coupon to take pictures with her.

Her introductory appearance in another Confidant being voiced, and her general relevance to that Confidant from that point on, are both very similar to known Phantom Idols, such as Kotone and Reo. As such, she seems likely to be a Phantom Idol, rather than a story teammate.

The name of the fourth one is confirmed to be Tamayo Yoshida, and her codename in the files is Jitianzhudai, though this seems to be her Chinese name rather than a codename.

She first appears towards the middle of Motoha’s Confidant, having known Motoha in the past when they played baseball together as kids, and now being part of a high school girls’ baseball team. She wants Motoha to join her team, seeing Motoha as her “eternal rival” even as Motoha’s gotten rusty from not playing baseball for so long, and hopes to eventually revive women’s professional baseball.

When Motoha declines to join- angry that Tamayo insulted Wonder by implying he's a bad coach- Tamayo ends up challenging her to a competition to see who can hit the most home runs at the batting cages in Yongen-Jaya. If Tamayo wins, Motoha will join her baseball team, but if Motoha wins, Tamayo will take back what she said about Wonder. She tells Motoha to call her whenever she's ready to face off, and leaves.

Like Narumi, with her introductory appearance in another Confidant being voiced, and her general relevance to that Confidant from that point on, she seems likely to be a Phantom Idol, rather than a story teammate.

While this character's name is currently completely unknown, his file codename is Wuhexi. He has real-world portraits and a 3D model, but has not been seen in-game anywhere yet.

During a promotional video, a split-second shot showed what appears to be concept art for his Metaverse appearance. However, it is not confirmed that this is him.

This character's name may be "Takumi Serizawa", though this is unconfirmed, and her files codename is Lailizetuomei.

She has portraits and a real-world 3D model, but has not been seen in-game yet. Concept art for her was shown briefly in a promotional video.

This character's name is entirely unknown, though her files codename is Phoebe. As there is also a codename text image for her, "Phoebe" seems very likely to be her actual in-game codename as well.

Nothing else is known about her at the moment.

Strangest of all is this also almost completely unknown character, with the files codename Changweiaizhu.

She appears briefly at the very start of the story, first walking by Wonder as he exits school, then later being seen jumping off the roof of a likely two-story building, across the street from the train station Wonder is standing in.

Despite this, however, she was specifically switched to this model- with a new portrait- for the official release of the game, whereas in the beta test before, a random NPC was used in her place. Her portrait seems to have been traced from Futaba's.

Another possible aspect related to future Phantom Thieves is the “Pegasus” Persona in the files.

Besides the battle portrait above, Pegasus has a 3D model as well. There’s no indication of whose Persona Pegasus is, however. It could be any of the potential thieves listed above, or someone else entirely. Its only other appearance is in the unexplained recolored art with Yuki from the first beta's files.

Similar to Pegasus, there is also an "Urania" Persona added in Version 1.2's files. More pictures of her 3D model can be viewed here, but nothing else related to her has been found yet.

Andrew's 4th Letter and Who's With Him

(Doing this for @LEx2THA on twitter's request)

We know:

3-0-1 is Andrew, 3-1-3 is Antonio, and the Will brothers (Polun) are with them. 3-?-2, 3-1-4, and 3-1-5 are the unknowns.

Polun I suspect is 3-?-2, as Andrew's 3rd letter mentions 3-?-2 and 3-1-3 having "noticeable emotional expressions". Based on Polun's personality + the fact they wear masks, they'd fit the "noticeable emotional expressions" descriptions. Then there's how in their 2nd letter, they mention Andrew started avoiding them after they asked him to "play a supporting role in their performance". This matches with Andrew in his 3rd letter stating he avoids 3-?-2 (and 3-1-3).

And Polun's 2nd letter mentions them getting dizzy after a feast, and 3-1-2 is described to be 1 of the first to be affected by the drugged wine during a "dinner party".

3-1-4 and 3-1-5 are harder to determine.

What we know about 3-1-4 is that they are polite, have themes involving trauma and faith, and are eliminated after being involved in arson beneath a stage.

My best guess at the moment is that 3-1-4 could be Sangria, who also has themes of faith and trauma in her story (faith related to the red lady, and trauma such as how her father beat her offstage and saw her as a toy). The ending of her backstory and deductions, where she leaps into a fire after a performance would fit with potentially being eliminated after a fire near a stage.

My current issue with her is I'd like confirmation Sangria is alive/real (not saying she is or isn't, just I wish I was more certain), as dead hunters aren't participants of the games (ex: Mary, Wu Chang, etc…).

There is Matthias, who we know burns Louis backstage and causes his parents' deaths would relate to the arson/elimination bit too, but the faith bit doesn't seem to fit with him.

There is someone like Ann, who does have faith themes in her story, but we know she's with Alva (based on her 2nd leter), who doesn't appear to be one of Andrew's teammates, and ergo I don't think she's here either.

That leaves 3-1-5. We know that they're good at disguising their true intentions, at sensing other's emotions, are hostile to Andrew, and wear a "facade created through acting" (uses when he lies to Andrew via fake praise). And they may eliminate Andrew and 3-1-4.

Honestly, based on the little we know about Florian from his recent trailer, I wonder if he may be 3-1-5. In a sense he is in the "spotlight" based on the whole bit with him being a "miracle" and how he "learned to play along with the stories" to receive more sympathy and donations, though we know from his trailer and hints from his backstory that he likely starts a fair number of fires (like in the scene where he drops a match with some nun not far away). So he would be the type not to be bothered by endangering or eliminating others. And it's also possible, based on his outlook about his parent's love still being with him, just "absorbed into the flames", and him being a miracle due to their sacrifice, which alleviates his pain at not seeing them, could be why he might be hostile to Andrew.

Andrew's mother did all she could to protect Andrew, but Andrew wants to die to be with her.

Compared to Florian, who may believe he is a "miracle" resulting from his parents' love, parents that did all the could to protect him.

Maybe he'd dislike the idea of Andrew throwing away his life after all his mother did to protect him?

I don't know, it's a bit hard for me to describe my thoughts rn, but hopefully I got at least some of it across.

(And we really do need Florian's deductions to know for sure.)

the room falls silent again. what? where did that come from? my thumb pauses mid-scroll, hovering in the air above my screen. my hand is still. yours is not.

despite the absolute bombshell of a sentence you dropped on me, my curls are still twisted and twirled between your fingers, undisturbed in their pursuit.

i don't know what to say.

"... there's no way everyone in the world hates you. you're not hate-able, amor." i'd murmur, a dry attempt at making you laugh. i don't think it worked.

"you're loved. and not just by me. anyone who says otherwise is factually incorrect and i will, uhm... commit... some sort of crime to stop 'em." that one pulls a slight amused huff out of you, and relief pools in, atleast i managed to get you to smile, "but... i'm glad you know i love you."

there's a pause, an intermission; your hand would rest in my hair and we'd be unmoving, still, content to sit in each other's company. a comfortable silence.

"the things i would let leo do to me..." you'd snrrk, and i'd hold back my giggles, but let a few slip through anyway.

"you when leonardo," i'd turn my phone to face you, showcasing a silly meme that made me think of you, and in moments we'd burst into laughter, filling the quiet of the room with a lighthearted atmosphere once again.

feels like the kinda friendship you can share anything in. like one of us could share a piece of jaw-dropping, tear inducing, heart breaking trauma or one of the most embarrassing things we had ever done and there would be zero judgement.

(Written between s2 episodes 9 and 10)

"The foundation of the game is mutual trust, fairness, and equality."

Part 3 of my "this game and its rules" theory: Part 1. Part 2.

This theory will be much less put together, as I feel I am not seeing the whole picture here, but maybe another set of eyes can spot what I've missed. I want to put this out there before episode 10 destroys everything.

Li Tianchen is a complicated character. He is a someone we inherently cannot trust. I'm sure I'm not the only one who found it comedic how quickly Li Tianchen took total control over the interrogation (CXS never stood a chance, the Coca-Cola tactic was brilliant.)

Why come in disguise as his sister? To gain sympathies, I suppose.

So then, did Li Tianchen know about the photograph?

Let's break the scene down:

-Li Tianchen introduces himself as LiTianxi. Cheng Xiaoshi is visibly taken aback. 1pt to LTC.

-Li Tianchen gives Cheng Xiaoshi a choice. Turn over all listening devices. Cheng Xiaoshi lies = feeling of unease. "The foundation of cooperation is mutual trust" says LTC. Minus 1pt to CXS. He's already in the negatives.

-Interrogation begins. Cheng Xiaoshi asks, "Why did you come and what do you know?" -

-Li Tianchen repeats, "The foundation of the game is mutual trust, fairness and equality. Did you forget this so soon?"

A connection is made in Cheng Xiaoshi's mind, this is Red Eyes! He then says:

"Why did you turn out like this?"

The conversation went directly from "The foundation of the game..." to "Why did you turn out like this." YEAH. That's one way to be suspicious CXS! -1pt

Cheng Xiaoshi knows about LTX's past and recognized her name. Li Tianchen doesn't know that Cheng Xiaoshi knows this. He is guessing based on Cheng Xiaoshi's reactions. (CXS wears his heart on his sleeve and I love him for it.)

Li Tianchen calls him on it, "How did you know?" The ball is back in LTC's court. + 1pt.

Cheng Xiaoshi tries to take the ball back. But the revelation that this is red eyes is too much. He cannot lie. So he speaks the truth and the ball stays firmly in LTC's court for the rest of the match.

The following Coca-Cola chugging relaxes the mood (+1pt LTC) and the sympathy building begins.

There is no evidence that Li Tianchen knew about the photograph before Cheng Xiaoshi willingly confirms it. But if Cheng Xiaoshi hasn't seen the photograph, then isn't this plan way more risky? Did LiTianchen really take that risk?

I know a lot of people are thinking that Li Tianxi is the one who delivers the photograph. That's very difficult to refute. But I cannot think of a reality where Li Tianchen doesn't know that the photograph was given. That was played.

Food for thought: the twin that delivered the photograph, and the twin that took the phone. (please note: the yellow on the jacket in relation to color of the hoodie. Thin as ice, this one. But I can't stop thinking on it.) EDIT: lmao I went a took color samples in procreate. Both hoodies are purple/red. Color theory can you believe.

I really, really believe that Li Tianchen is crying out for help as much as Li Tianxi is seems to be. Everything he does is to protect his sister. He's a hunter yes, but--

CAN YOU FUCK CHAOS?

... Y'know, the Sonic character. Not the abstract concept. You can't fuck concepts, last I checked. Might be wrong, though.

WARNING: SONIC FRONTIERS SPOILERS. Yes, the game's been out for a bit, but some people haven't played it yet, so be warned- it'll be cited often in this post, as it had some enormous lore drops related to Chaos, the Chao, and the Chaos Emeralds.

Strap in, this is a long one. At least, a bit longer than the usual post.

I would start with age, but that's kind of stupid. We know how long Chaos has been around, we know it's immortal, and we know it's pretty much a deity. Hell, Sonic Channel didn't even try listing an age, it was just listed as ''Unknown" while it was listed. Chronologically speaking, it's been around for over 3000 years. It's also not really been dormant dormant by any means, sure it's spent most of its life sealed inside the Master Emerald, but still seems to be able to come out of the emerald when needed or desired- such as during the events of Sonic Battle, where it came out of the emerald seemingly with the sole purpose of meeting Emerl and requesting a battle with him (At least, it can be interpreted as such, since you get the option to battle or not battle Chaos when you encounter it ingame).

On top of that, it's been implied that it protects the Chao from within the emerald one way or another, so it's about as old as the chronology would imply- although it likely can't physically age, considering the way the Chao life cycle works. If it did age, it would either be a really, really slow aging process, or it would have reincarnated by now, as Chao do once they're old enough. It isn't stated whether it was an adult or a child when it "mutated", but it's never been implied that it was a child, and considering the role of protector it assumes over the Chao of Angel Island, it's likely not a child.

You might say, though- it's still a mutated Chao! Chao are either weird sorta perma-babies, animals, or both, and they probably shouldn't be fucked. And I would maybe agree with you, before Sonic Frontiers came out, buuuut...

Yeah, these guys.

The Chao, as implied by Eggman in Egg Memo 11, are the remnants of the Ancients, after some kind of radiation corroded their DNA for countless years to the point where they turned into what we now know them as. Chaos' mutation seems to be less so a Chao becoming bigger and more powerful, and moreso the remaining DNA of the Ancients being brought back to the forefront and slightly regaining its form, seemingly more in the image of the anthropomorphic animals that now inhabit the world. Even the visible brain was there from the start- although it's hard to see on the adults, likely due to the amount of blur and sepia tone used for the flashbacks of the Ancients. The children have them pretty visible, though! Likely due to background color, amount of blur, etc.

This may seem like a red flag when it comes to Chaos, since the brain is always plainly easily visible, but it's clearly not an intended key feature or anything of the sort, and most likely just a result of the game's artstyle, as the concept art doesn't have the brain visible on any of the different Ancient types.

Interestingly, Chaos doesn't really seem to match any of these one to one- the visual similarity is obvious, and they're confirmed to be related genetically speaking, but Chaos has no pointed shapes on its hips to differentiate gender, and additionally has 2 small tendrils on the sides of its head that resemble the ones on the elders, but are far shorter than what is shown ingame and in the image; and on top of that, it has a short tail, for whatever reason.

Gender-related side tangent aside (it probably has no gender anyways, and it's all the better for it), clearly Chaos shows all the physical maturity needed, but...

Can it consent? Should you fuck Chaos? Is it ethical?

We're not exactly able to resort to our usual methods here, so let's pull out an ancient internet artifact- one that has been referenced and cited plenty of times, and is generally considered to be a good guide as to whether or not you should fuck a fictional being.

Ladies, gentlemen, those in between, and all those not entirely convinced of the societal construct that is the gender binary, I present to you;

The Harkness Test.

Now, aside from the fact that this image is visibly and verifiably old enough that smelling it would probably direct about 500 grams of dust straight into your lungs, it's generally a good guideline without any real holes in it. So, let's go by the boxes one by one- in reverse order, that is. Because it works better for the format.

Is it of sexual maturity for its species?

Although it likely can't reproduce- yes. I mean, this should be obvious by now; there is absolutely no implication that it was a child at the time of its mutation, and it very clearly resembles adult Ancients, as opposed to the children, which lack the long tendrils on both the adult Ancients and Chaos's heads. So, by all accounts, despite its ageless status, it's clearly of sexual maturity for both of the species that could be referenced for it.

Check.

Can it talk or otherwise communicate with language?

Chaos can't talk. Obviously. The Ancients somehow could, despite not having a mouth or lungs or vocal chords or anything of the sort, much like Chaos itself. BUUUUUUT-

This moment from Knuckles' story in Sonic Adventure implies that Tikal is able to communicate directly with Chaos, meaning that on some level, it can communicate and understand language- further reinforced by a later cutscene in the final story, where Tikal talks to Chaos to calm its anger, explaining that the fighting that angered Chaos in the first place is long over, and that the Chao it protected are alive and well, living in peace alongside people.

So, clearly, it can understand words, and it can communicate with some people, so best case scenario you can find a way to directly communicate with Chaos verbally, and worst case scenario you can get Tikal (or uh. her ghost?) to translate for you, although that might be a bit awkward considering it's unlikely that Tikal was an adult when she died, but it's really your only option. She probably knows what sex is anyways, she can be a mediator, doesn't need to get involved past that. Yes this is a very silly hypothetical scenario, but hey, it's there and it could help you out if you wanna fuck this thing.

Check.

Does it have human intelligence (or greater)?

This one is... Complicated. Again, Chaos can't speak directly, and the aforementioned line is all we have to go off of- and it's unclear whether what Tikal said is Chaos's exact wording, or what she gleamed from communicating with it somehow. On top of that, Chaos is strung along quite easily by Eggman; though Eggman loses control of Chaos entirely once it acquires the 7 chaos emeralds, so this could be interpreted as Chaos going along with the plan with full intent to stab Eggman in the back once it has all the power it needs to let out the anger that it's been building for so many years.

So, SA1 doesn't give us too much on this end. In Sonic Battle, though, it's shown fighting with a decent degree of technique, using its stretching properties for some tricky maneuvers, as well as poking its limbs out of the ground. It's definitely a capable fighter, and while it's not a martial artist by any means, there is a degree of technique to what it does, which would make sense considering the Ancients had dedicated warriors which likely had fighting prowess outside of just using mechs.

That's really all we have on that end as far as games go, since the Chaos in Sonic Forces isn't exactly real, and brain size isn't that good of a frame of reference either since the brains of the adult ancients are quite hard to see and blurry- although the size does mostly seem to match up, adjusting for how small the Ancients' heads look compared to Chaos's.

Our only guide from this point on is Sonic Channel artwork, which is non-canon but should still provide a decent enough guideline.

One of these is obviously much more serious than the other- although they both look really nice. The way Chaos is shown kneeling on the left image implies a capability for body language similar to that of people, although the purpose of the pose is quite ambiguous- it could either be accompanying Tikal in whatever ritual is being performed, or be trying to mimic her position, similar to that of a prayer, in a sort of "Monkey see, monkey do" manner.

The right one is obviously completely impossible (I don't think the ancient echidnas knew how to make pizza, let alone make entire diners- although their food probably slapped. Probably.) and is mostly just there to look cute, but it still does show Chaos doing something that requires a large amount of technique. It's cooking! And it seems very good at it, judging by the pizza Tikal is holding. I'd try one, it looks really good! ... Shit, now I'm hungry. Anyways.

These images, although non-canon, do depict Chaos with a level of intelligence similar to that of humans, one more than the other- although it has full freedom to, considering it's the sillier and clearly more for-fun of the two, no matter how hard it's rocking that little chef's outfit. It seems more or less in line with its behavior in the flashbacks and Sonic Battle, with a few creative liberties.

So while it can't talk, it seems to be about even with humans. Think something like Gardevoir and Gallade from Pokemon.

Check.

So, to recap; Is it of sexual maturity for its species? ✅ Can it talk or otherwise communicate with language? ✅ (Though you may need some assistance, ideally from Tikal.) Does it have human intelligence (or greater)? ✅

Chaos passes the Harkness Test.

So, with all this taken into account, we can come to a verdict. I would normally write a conclusion, but this post is long enough as is. And so, the verdict is...

You can, with some effort and maybe a bit of help, fuck Chaos.

Uuuuuuh out of any fandom ever? Short answer: yes.

Long answer: it's a little complicated what I would define as a ship for me bc when it comes to ships I actively ship and actually think should kith I have incredibly few. But when it comes to ships where someone else will be like "these two are cute together" and I'll go "yeah I see it" and maybe rt/rb a post about them it's like...almost any ship. Y'all have watched me write hcs for almost every mix and match combination of almost every character in Survive even though I have like,,,two ships from that game. And also what some people consider side eye worthy is different from what I do.

Like,,,for example, I know I've said it before, but I don't think human x digimon ships are inherently weird. I think it varies on a partner-to-partner basis. I've seen a lot of people in gg fandom ship Ruli and Angoramon or Kiyo and Jellymon and...yeah I think that's fine. But no one ships Hiro and Gammamon because that would be weird. And I don't think I really have to explain what the difference there is. But I know for some people it's just a hard no across the board lmao.

Probably the only ship I actively ship rn that people think is weird is, for reasons I will never understand, ThomAya. For those of you not in Genshin fandom they're just a classic cute longtime best friends to lovers ship that some people unironically think is incest because Ayaka told one person one time that Thoma is kind of like a second brother to her. These same people will turn around and ship him with her actual brother tho which...what? Like if you actually think they're related or whatever how would that not, in your eyes, also make him related to her brother I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE. I digress.

OH OH OH NOT TO KEEP GENSHINNING BUT FUN FACT I totally got canceled on twitter for shipping kaether back when it was implied but not explicitly confirmed yet that Aether's an adult so the "Traveler is literally minor-coded" crowd came for my ass. I tragically got blocked by one of my only mutuals who liked Digimon back then over that shit lakfdjak. Like sorry for assuming a character who had "seen the birth and death of stars" but is kinda short was at least 18. I was right though.

I know a lot of my KH ships are side eye worthy because they'll be between characters who have literally never met (i.e. most mix and match combos of the characters who are Nobodies of or replicas of or the embodiment of darkness extracted from the other major characters). Some of them are between characters who, despite literally having entire arcs dedicated to establishing that they are NOT the same person, people will still point at and call self-cest. (i.e. shipping Roxas with Sora or Xion). So again I genuinely don't think they're weird, but I know other people do.

I've seen people say it's weird to ship Pao-Lin and Lara in Tiger & Bunny because of their "age difference." They are 16 and 14. Sue me.

Here's a special segment for things I shipped in middle and high school that no one thought was weird back then but would DEFINITELY get a side eye in 2024.

I was a sebaciel shippper when I was like,,,12. Would I still ship it today? Probably no. But hey it was 2013 and I'm pretty sure the show WANTED you to ship them.

Almost any hetalia ship. I am not even joking, almost every character in that entire show was related somehow or another. It was like 2015. I was not immune to smashing pretty characters together and shouting "now kiss." I also was not doing deep dives into whether or not the immortal personifications of countries were technically related or had age gaps, I'm sorry.

Totally shipped Yoichi and Gekkouin from OnS. I mean my main ship was kimiyoi but multishippping is real. To be honest it was just a classic case of being a teenager and shipping the character I related to with the character I thought was hot. It was not any deeper than that.

TLDR: if any of y'all do now or ever have shipped anything weird, I'm not gonna judge you for it. I literally do not have the right to.

That unofficial lego build for the church reminds of of the uniqlo t shirt for FF7. It's so obvious a c/a put it up. There's something about any other non-SE related content that has c/a in it and for some reason they hold onto it for dear life as confirmation EXCEPT the Canon source. Like jesus, that church has so many other things about it, like with Zack, the Cloti Yin Yang pose, Tifa's fight scene, where they get healed, and when he gives his farewells to Zerith lol. If anything... I'd wish they'd rather made a lego version of the Zerith items left in the church and make that the focal point, or maybe the scene where cloud is relaying the story about a hero. Or the part where *everyone is in the church celebrating in AC with Zerith close to the door (I mean it's not an official set they'd be mass producing...so why not put the effort for such an important moment especially for the themes in FF7). But it's strange that they modified them to look like that? Is it just a preliminary work?? Because I've never seen lego do something like that with their characters.... its really weird. I also don't get the "inspired by cloud" etc in the prizes portion. What does that even mean? At least the scene chosen wasn't the best example of that if church related.

That being said, I'm not surprised why the idiots are feeling Haughty.... I mean that's the only thing they're good at..

Actually, I do have another fandom where the same thing happens. Anything except for the canon source lol and the only thing I say is "its better they have the pity points/moments, because by the time this all ends they'd be gettin nothing of real Actual value".

Yeah, the uniqlo shirt for ffvii was cringe. I have an FFII one, which is the best of a bad design lot imo. My niece is constantly asking why Maria has red hair in it when all the pics I showed her had Maria with purple hair 😂

I was disappointed to find out it wasn't an official collab either. Whoever at se made that needs to try harder. I can't get over the no face part. If that had been the water tower I'd still think it was cringe. Who doesn't even give them faces?

I honestly don't get how anybody thinks that looks good. Are they all blind? The poses don't match anything memorable in the scene and Lego had nothing to do with it. It's a fanmade piece and I've seen dioramas way better

Ok I know this sounds weird and dumb but I once had a dream where there was like an Ass Stars 2 and the electric Boogaloo. And in the dream it was confirmed that Axel and Duncan were cousins. What I remember was that Axel said something along the lines of “oh and by the way Duncan here like to secretly do karaoke.” And Duncan is like pissed as shit at her. Then Courtney is all like “who is she?” And all that crap while Duncan is like “that is my pain in the ass cousin, Axel.”

I start to ironically think that Axel and Duncan where cousins cause is sounds funi to me for some reason.

Then that is when it happened, I started to actually like it unironically to the point where I’m writing an Ass Stars 2 and the electric Boogaloo with that headcanon in mind.

Axel and Duncan being cousins is a new one- I've never seen anyone relate the two of them, but I guess it works? Axel's got that whole boot-camp aesthetic going on, a family of cops would love her drive and self-sufficiency. Even if her apocalypse fixation does lead her astray from the family profession, at least she's not Duncan... Which makes it all the more poetic when she pierces her eyebrows/ears to match her favourite cousin!

Plus, Axel and Duncan both having hidden soft sides behind their rough exteriors (Axel's love of poetry, Duncan's "heart of gold") is another point of similarity between the two. They're absolutely each other's favourite family member!

Also, Duncan enjoying karaoke? Absolutely! He literally joined a band in London, of course our guy likes music! His refusal to sing in World Tour was more so a point of pride than an unwillingness to sing (plus his VA has some good pipes!), since Duncan is pretty much opposed to anything he's forced to do on principle.

He'd also be super embarrassed if anyone ever found out, which makes the implication that he takes/took Axel along with him to enjoy his secret hobby so endearingly sweet.

Jonathan Kent is a clone.

More specifically, Superman and Lois's Jonathan Kent is actually an adaptation of Conner Kent. (Jordan is also the Jon adaptation)

There are two versions of Jon that match the two comic versions of Kon.

The fruity, celebrity, daddy issues one who for at least some time is aligned with the villain.

And the more down to earth one who also has daddy issues who tries to combat them with performance enhancing drugs. Who dresses bland af (affectionate).

It is possible that Jon's football throwing skills could be enhanced by tactile telekinesis and it would add reasoning to Clark's favouritism towards Jordan because Kon always has a rough relationship with Clark. He may be being unconsciously biased against him.

It would also be an extra factor for why Lois and Clark were so sure Jon was the one with powers because he was specifically designed and lab grown for that reason.

The show also has no qualms changing characters' names. The biggest example is how Natalie is called Natasha in the comics but also Ally originally being called Rudy ('cause she's basically confirmed to be Parasite now, right?) It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to change Kon to Jon. After all, despite how confusing it is, it's still only a one letter change.

As for how this would actually play out in canon. We don't know how much S&L is actually related to Supergirl but it seems like it is a different continuity, considering their blatant refusal to even make a passing reference to the Arrowverse, but we can assume that the characters might make somewhat similar decisions and things might play out similar because they seem like quite similar alternate universes, if anything.

If, like in the Arrowverse, Lois and Clark went to have their baby on Argo, once they found out they were having a kid because that seems like the safest option then, as far as we know, that would leave earth with no superhero.

This would also leave a perfect opportunity for Lex Luthor to create his own superman with no opposition. Enter project Kr.

When Lois, Clark and their son, Jon, arrive back on earth business goes back to usual until one day Clark busts Luthor for project Kr and he finds a baby who is, genetically, basically his son.

Since the family was off the grid (off the planet) for almost the entire pregnancy, they would be able to pass the baby off as their actual son's twin brother because they wouldn't have told anyone they were having one kid, past the stage that they should have known if they were having twins.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Now for a few flaws to this theory and their rebuttals.

1 We saw Lois get pregnant with twins. - All the flashback scenes we saw pre-the twins already being born were taken directly out of Clark's mind in the "A Brief Reminiscence Inbetween Cataclysmic Events" we don't actually know how the little mind reader devices work but we do know that the "memories" do not always play out exactly as they happened, as seen when Lois is going through Jordan's memories. It is also possible that what we play out is Clark's imaginings of his and Lois' cover story.

Why wouldn't they tell the boys in the pilot? - I think this can mostly be explained along with why they kept the Superman secret for so long. Clark didn't want to tell the boys until it was necessary and while the alien thing was basically unavoidable, it is very easy to see Clark reason to himself that practically, they're both half Kryptonian, it doesn't really matter where they came from. It would be another massive reveal after the alien thing so he might not want to dump it all on them at one time. Especially considering their reactions. This would only make the secret harder to spill each passing day because the boys would, justifiably, be mad about why they were still keeping massive secrets from them.

spoiler alert. obviously these are just some of my theories on the matter there is nothing certain. then the producers confirmed that they followed up on the last two books regarding alina. then the search for the last two amps. (does some detail come up on the third one? i think so) the war against the dark and nikolai of course. as for crows the ice court is absent (thankfully, i want it done right) so we would definitely have gangbang (seeing trio loose ends), hellgate with matthias, jesper and kaz past having in the cast the mother and brother and having been underlined that there are ancient grudges (therefore kaz and pekka), that kaz's character is traumatized and that Nina and wylan will create particularly explosive situations in the dynamics of the group (they neither know Jesper's powers nor kaz's trauma so i think the flashbacks are related to this situation, at least as far as jesper is concerned. for kaz they can also be seen in relation to pekka ) and there will be a new work for the group...excluding the ice court i think he is referring to hellgate. and here are born my other theories far more interesting and less obvious ... we talked about other books that inspired the season. and i think it's the books about nikolai. not all of course. some details (I don't think his story with zoya would be premature) maybe a deepening of the shu? (I have a theory that I don't share for now, because if it were to be true as I think it turns the tables big and nothing but explosive!) and maybe a clash match between nikolai and kaz? maybe it's nikolai giving kaz a new job? following the dynamics of nikolai's book? whoever reads it knows what I mean. maybe. that's not a bad idea. I've always thought their meeting on the show might follow that idea. it's a dynamic way of bringing them together, and it also brings the relationship with inej into play. new encounters between the characters have been confirmed and I think this idea is really good. then I don't know, they're just theories...but introducing nikolai and unexpected books...which ones if not these? i think i came close... anyway i want to see nikolai and kaz interact. i want to see wylan and jesper. i want to see the marine whip (i'm the only one i know) i want to see jesper's past and also kaz's past, done to perfection even if my little heart won't take so much pain...let's hope it's a season that lives up to expectations!

Oh I forgot to mention this here but recently I actually figured out the reason why I sometimes have that seemingly bizarre reaction to other people's benign descriptions of their experiences where I get disproportionately annoyed just because my own experiences are different. (Idk if my post about that still exists; I suspect I may have deleted it)

It's just the tail end of a long chain reaction that started with regularly having my emotions and perceptions dismissed as a child. Later I would frequently describe my internal experiences to all kinds of people from friends to therapists, only to find no one understood what the hell I was talking about. That's why a large part of my time on social media has been spent desperately posting about these things over and over, hoping to find anyone who could relate - because I needed someone to confirm that it was possible for a human to have these experiences. Or I secretly wanted to be challenged so I could at least defend myself. I was already being attacked by my own subconscious after all, and an external opponent would have been easier to defeat.

Unfortunately, during many years of regular oversharing, the most common response I got was total silence though. Sometimes a friend would express sympathy or someone would say they could relate, only to immediately reveal they misinterpreted my words and meant a slightly different experience. It was extremely rare that I found someone who actually experienced the same thing.

This silence started to feel more and more hostile over time. "No one ever answers me when I ask for advice on here!" "I bet they all think I'm talking nonsense and they're just too polite to say it!" "Come at me already! Tell me why you think my experiences are fake or morally wrong!" "Stop ignoring me when I nonconfrontationally point out that my experiences don't match a common narrative; it's tempting me to do it again but in a confrontational tone this time!"

The only thing attacking me was my deeply ingrained mistrust of my own perceptions though. I didn't even consciously feel like I was doubting myself half the time, I was just preparing for battle with some theoretical person who would surely emerge from the woodworks any moment now, or if they didn't, well, then they were clearly a coward. 😐

Once this had happened a few times in relation to a specific subject, any mention of that subject that even alluded to a different experience than mine would remind me of the frustration of never getting a response. I would skip straight ahead to the anger I had eventually ended up feeling the previous times. "This shit again. I bet if I said something, I'd be ignored as usual."

(I'm sure it doesn't help that I used to have friends who would literally ignore me, in direct conversation, because they didn't feel like explaining why they were mad at me or thought a question I'd asked was stupid. My mother did that, too.)

Unfortunately this makes me sound like the villain in that "hi! Most annoying person you've ever met here" meme, but that's not how I usually address these things. I'll either make my own post or reblog with an addition along the lines of, "This is fascinating because I experience the exact opposite. Does it work that way for anyone else here??"

But because I don't get any responses, sometimes the silliest things turn into huge pet peeves very fast. Next thing I know I'm in the notes of every post about the subject that crosses my dash, searching for that one person who is expressing disagreement or confusion for the same reasons as mine. But I'm afraid even when I find one, and see that they're being ignored, it's still not much of a comfort. The need to have my perceptions confirmed as Real, Possible Human Experiences by just one person has suddenly morphed into the need to be acknowledged by those who feel differently.

Perhaps at that point it's about wanting permission to continue having that experience. Permission to exist. But I cannot stress enough how often the subject matter is something completely silly where morals shouldn't even enter the equation! And I'm thirty-six. I can't help but feel like I should be much more mature and well-adjusted by now. The way people my age sometimes talk about younger people can ironically set off this phenomenon as well because it makes me think I can't be a real person who exists if I relate more to the teenager being criticized than the person my age who's doing the criticising and making it about being young like that explains it.

Is it any wonder the form of dissociation I experience most often is depersonalisation? On reflection, no.

Late night rambles because I need to put confusing aromanticism-related (and tangentially autism-related) feelings into words:

Is there a term for when you only want to pursue a relationship if it's to the extent it's wanted by the other person? Like, romantic mirroring? Idk. I've recently realized that even when I have VERY clear romantic feelings for a person, I don't have any actual desire of my own to act on them. But if the other person also has those feelings and makes it known, then I will match their pace without any real boundaries (at least in terms of a general romantic relationship, physically my boundaries are VERY strong).

For example, my previous relationship (during college, we've been broken up for years now). 7ish months in she asked if we could get an apartment together and I agreed enthusiastically. Because it was what she wanted, and therefor in that moment it was what I wanted. And that's not to say I don't have things I want for myself in terms of romance. I DO feel romantic feelings for people and I DO WANT to be in a relationship with someone, but these wants are kinda. Unspecified for me. I don't want to act on feelings unless I know for CERTAIN they're reciprocated, and that can gets really frustrating sometimes.

Like even recently when I've tried to be better about making my feelings known, the most I can do is go "hey I really like you, do with that what you will :)". I've gone on a couple dates with a girl and have been messaging her consistently and I REALLY like her. And I do think I'd be interested in a relationship with her...but I can't act on that unless I know that's what she wants. And I lack the tools needed to be able to recognize that without direct confirmation (yay autism). Idk how to say that I'm happy to move at whatever pace she wants without that coming across as "I'm not interested in you enough to initiate the next step myself so you need to do the romantic heavy lifting".

And another part of this too is that to me a romantic relationship is just "tier above best friend" which I know is not the case for everyone. And throwing autism into the mix means I really struggle with talking to and interacting with people when it's not in relation to shared interests and things like that. People (including me) like to joke about "tism rizz" and obv that does work for some people, but I worry that to the vast majority of neurotypicals it just comes across as shallow and emotionally immature. Idk I just want someone I can cuddle and kiss and infodump back and forth with.

The best way I can summarize all these feelings is "I want a romantic relationship, but I don't want to put any effort into building it". And that sounds really shitty and that makes me FEEL really shitty. But I do think that's the truth and idk how to really reconcile that.

Rustic Quaker Moth Caterpillar - Orthodes majuscula

Attempting to deduce the identity of this insect has been challenging, and it's a challenge that's between going on since the pictures were taken over 4 years ago! Initially I thought it might be a one of the many Moths closely related to the Variegated Cutworm (Peridroma saucia). Though this was the right track, I wasn't even close. There are species beyond count in the Owlet Moth family (Noctuidae) and many of them have a similar appearance to this Caterpillar: long-bodied, mottled in color, heavy with stored nutrients, spots on the dorsal side (with line patterns along the body - faded in this individual), and an orange face streaked with black stripes. Though a lot to choose form, this is a good description to keep in mind should you find these insects on or near your garden's plants. They aren't called "cutworms" for no reason! Many species will feed on alive, green vegetation by climbing up mature plants and cutting holes into leaves to have their fill! They'll attach onto a plant using their rear prolegs and weave around to orient on the best leaves. More worrisome is their tendency to feed on young plants by cutting them from just above where they emerged from the soil! Hungry Caterpillars need to eat, but eating plants before they're even fully grown is a bit too eager for me!

They can be nighttime feeders as well, meaning that their defoliation damage may escalate rapidly before they are discovered (assuming multiple wrigglers)! With regards to this specie specifically, it seems the Rustic Quaker prefers a diet focused on grasses, dandelions and plantains, two of which at least are of some important to crop production or garden development. After learning the identity of this Caterpillar, I'll be keep a closer watch on the zebra grass around the yard, but if it wants to eat any dandelions, it can gladly do so. As for how the identification came to fruition, I noticed some ridging along the back of the Caterpillar between segments (look where the body's lines travel for the ridging). Combine that with the arrangement of dark spots along the dorsal side (2 prominent towards the front, faded until the final spot at the abdomen's rear), the Rustic Quaker was the best fit. It is still possible to be incorrect given the size of Noctuidae, but compared to instars of similar size, I'd say the match is possible and well within habitat range. Finding a Moth of this specie would be a great help to confirm, but hopefully it's not another 4 year wait to accomplish that.

Dissecting: Edens Zero Ch. 130-134

I was reading Ch. 83 and found this.

See, I don’t know if Mashima plans his story out or if he develops certain plots on the spot because everything is connecting. “Oh, I could use this later...” Brilliant. Amazing. For real though, I was like damn it’s the Mildian/Sun Jewel arc again (Xiaomei’s battles foreshadowing).

Shura vs Ziggy

It was interesting to read that Shura isn't the biological son of Nero. This leads me to think...what if Shura and Shiki are related? I mean they both have gravity ether and they both were taught by Ziggy. They both are also strong in their own right. We also have the theme from Fairy Tail of Good vs Evil (Zeref and Natsu) but in this instance it would be Shura and Shiki. We also don't know where they came from - their origins. Plus, Nero says that his power was incompatible with Shura but he was able to match with Ziggy's gravity powers.

Later, when the crew of Edens Zero find another relic (Robo Cola cap), they infer that Mother could be a place and a person. I was also thinking that because in FT: 100 years quest, Aldoron was a dragon god but his body was home to 5 cities.

So, if I'm right then, Shiki and Shura maybe are from a city on Mother...and maybe even Rebecca.

I'm noting that Shiki is younger than Shura. When Ziggy was training Shura, that was 15 years ago but, that's also the same time Ziggy found Shiki as a baby....unless Ziggy is lying and he has false memories. 👀👀👀 Is Ziggy truly good or bad? Does Shiki have additional powers like Rebecca?

What is the all-link system? Looks like Shura and Ziggy have the same idea. I think if Shura and Ziggy battle - Ziggy will win. What did you guys think?

Xenolith and the Crew of Edens Zero

I wonder why Xenolith's maintenance is lasting longer. Perhaps it may be revealed in the future. I would laugh if he moved his consciousness/personality data into a younger robot body.

Weisz stays being a perv lol with the bondage training.

Did Xenolith teach Shiki 'Black Sky?' For me, I feel like in the next arc, when Shiki is facing a really tough opponent we will get flashbacks of his training with Xenolith and him learning Black Sky. Then, he'll perform it against the enemy...which could be Ziggy. So, yes, I think Xenolith did teach him. Could be wrong but we'll have to wait and see!

Both Xenolith and Xiaomei have stated that Rebecca's power will change/save the world/universe.

- Xiaomei (Ch. 64): "She has only just begun to unlock the secrets of Leap’s real power. This power may truly save the universe one day."

- Xenolith (Ch. 132): "Her power is weak…but it is the most special. Special enough to change the world."

Witch calling Rebecca a 'Chrono Witch' is giving me Scarlet Witch vibes...

Fan service with the bath scenes but, at least it is keeping the story going, in that, she has to train in the bath in order to get stronger. Sister makes me geek, "You better get out of those ropes before this turns x-rated." When I read that scene, it gave me Virgo vibes from FT.

I also want to see how Xenolith met Ziggy. So, I'm wishing for a flashback.

I don't know if I put this on a post before or not but, my thoughts are that Ziggy did reach Mother and found Shiki there. He erased the Four Shining Stars memories because something bad would happen if he didn't (like they would get infected the way he is now). So, he did it to save them.

UGHHHH BUT THAT CLIFFHANGER...WHYYYYY - It'll probably blow my mind when it gets revealed.

Also, WOOHOOO! Jinn and Kleene joined the crew. That cute ass smile!!! OOOMG his face when he isn't able to untie Kleene. 🥺🥺🥺

The Oceans

So cool to see the winners of the Edens Zero character competition featured as the Oceans 6! I'm a fan of all of them and don't you worry...we won't forget Shura's assistant even though she's not part of the 6. However, she might be since Shura killed off Cyca. Yikes.... RIP Cyca

Their designs are so clean!! (Sorry if the images look blurry Tumblr only allows 10 photos per post so I tried stitching them together in Illustrator but I think the file size is too big for Tumblr so that's why it may be blurry but, I hope you get the gist of their designs.)

I wonder what she means by that...I feel like this will be important later. We also don't know much about the other members of the Oración Seis Interstellar. I'm excited to see what their ether gear is...especially Eraser. 👀👀👀 Does his ether have something to do with erasing things? Are they corrupt or good guys? I guess we'll found out soon...

B-Cube

Rebecca has carved 'Edens Zero' onto her B-Cube. Did you guys notice in Ch. 134 that Rebecca's ingrained B-Cube is the same one we see in Ch. 4? That's the scene where there are two robots 20,000 years in the future who find two bodies (a man and a woman) and a B-Cube which we can now confirm is Rebecca's.

The Ships + Other Notable Mentions

LOL I feel like if I was a B-Cuber, I would be an entertainment/fashion channel....basically like Sorcerer Weekly but make it Space Weekly or a cool name like Into the Void. Maybe a play off of 'Cosmopolitan' but shorten it to 'Cosmos.' So many options.

Anyways lets get into the ships. I talked about this first ship in a recent post.

#1 Homura and Creed

I'll say it again...I SHIP IT! I am hoping for some more scenes with them together. He always looks so cute when he blushes <3 He's a Homura stan too hahah. 🥺🥺🥺

Predictions: - Creed and Homura will fight - Creed will protect Homura again - Homura will save Creed - Creed will join the Edens Zero crew

Now, I was reading on a few discord channels that people are comparing Creed to Mest (Fairy Tail). Now, I am really trying to understand this comparison because frankly, I don't see it. Creed has a crush on Homura. That's valid. Also, Creed doesn't just have pictures of just Homura, he has Weisz, Rebecca, and Shiki. He's not creepy like Mest.

Mest was a weird guy when we first met him laying in the pool or eating flowers. Their personalities are totally different IMO. We could talk ages about the age gap stuff but I'm not really gonna go into that.

Do you see the comparison?

#2 Rebecca and Shiki

Shiki escaping from his restraints to save 'Rebecca' made me happy lol. It makes me think what he would do if it was Homura or Weisz in that situation. What would Shiki do? Plus, after the simulation was over...we can see Rebecca in awe and blushing.

Then, Shiki is hugging Rebecca and they're both blushing 💕 That's a cute moment ngl.

"I'm not THAT into Shiki." - So, you don't deny that you like him 😉

I don't know if I mentioned this but I fucking love Hermit's name. It's such a cool name.
