your daily reminder to go outside and touch grass!!!! (then keep inhaling that arlecchino content <3)
at this point, even making the grass a part of my soul and existence won't save me I fear 🥲 so i've just accepted that genshin brainrot was the true yandere all along
specifically two things in this au that NEED to happen. Hunter has always been the one to do stage managing and run the whole thing backstage, but is secretly (and probably unknowing to him too) a really talented actor. he's also good at singing but he doesn't think so. (quote un quote I don't like my voice it's annoying to others IN CANON.)
but one day Luz hears him playing piano in the band room at their school, and to her surprise he's singing too. and Luz immediately goes "OH HE HAS TO TRY OUT FOR OUR NEXT MUSICAL."
Luz does puppy dog eyes and Hunter says fine I'll do it. it could totally also be funny if it was just a silly dare to get him to audition and then he goes up and everyone is like "where the fuck did that come from?" ANYWAY! he gets a lead role and learns how much more fun he finds being the one on the stage versus behind it (it is Hunter tho so he helps out as much as he can to guide the new head stage manager)
ALSO
I need this another scenario. Gus always gets cast as the comedic side character, he's got the charm and the skills to do it effectively, and it's never really bothered him that he's always cast as that. BUT everyone else is. like not just his friends, everyone in every cast after about 5 shows of this happening is like "okay but what about changing it up?" (give this dude a power ballad PLEASE)
and then one time it does. immediately Gus is like "please tell you didn't say anything to the director to get me this role" and everyone is like NO because they are just as shocked and overjoyed Gus is finally playing the main lead of a show.
AND HE KILLS IT.
safe to say that show ended up being everyone's favourite for a long long time.
Okay, so all the boys have their past times when they're off duty: Scrap likes to tinker and invent; Claptrap likes to explore the forest; Dagger likes to train and work on his weapons; Sarge just likes to sip his tea and enjoy a few minutes of quiet; Rocker enjoys reading some good ol' fashioned health journals and articles (anything he can get his hands on through the holonet, really); and for the longest time, I haven't been able to figure out what Visor likes to do. He's such a strong, silent type, but I haven't been able to work out what he likes to do when he's not on patrol or training. And while writing the next chapter, it finally came to me!
Visor likes to whittle.
Dagger made him a little carving knife and Claptrap brings him back all sorts of neat wood pieces from his hikes. Visor carves all kinds of things but the ones he's most proud of are the full-blown illustrations based on Claptrap's stories.
His BEST piece was one he did this one time of him and all his brothers, right after they first landed on Mariden. He gave it to Sarge right when it was done. Now, I'll be honest (as the author I'm allowed to do this): it wasn't actually that great. Visor was only JUST learning how to whittle and its splintery and messed up and jagged, BUT-
Sarge loves it anyway. And he'll always call it Visor's best piece. It holds a special place above Sarge's bunk, and whenever he's feeling discouraged, looking at that jagged mess of him and his boys always brings his smile right back.
hi taff! i just wanted to say hi and welcome and where did you get your name from??
Aw hi anon! Thanks for the warm welcome and compliment!
The name Taff comes from Wales, specifically Cardiff where my mother was born and raised. It's British slang for those raised in Cardiff which is the capital city of Wales, named after the River Taff that runs through the city.
It's derived from the days when Cardiff was the busiest sea port in the world (due to coal exports) as "taff" or "taffies" were what people who worked down the docks were called, and my mother was born on the docks.
love when ppl defend the aggressive monetization of the internet with "what, do you just expect it to be free and them not make a profit???" like. yeah that would be really nice actually i would love that:)! thanks for asking
hey man maybe if you think about the fact that dogs dream, and that non-human animals play, and that octopuses decorate their dens, and that there are non-human animals that have cultures, and that ants teach each other, and that fossils exist, and that there are so many forms of language and communication, and that fellow apes look so much like us, and that we are not alone you'll see the beauty and joy
