You notice Kaz at first glance and then you have to pay more attention to see Inej. It's to detailed!
I couldn't read the artist's signature but her/his Instagram is @_captainhooks.
“He’d looked up from his desk to answer, but whatever he’d been about to say had vanished on his tongue. The sun was out for once, and Inej had turned her face to it. Her eyes were shut, her oil-black lashes fanned over her cheeks. The harbour wind had lifted her dark hair, and for a moment Kaz was a boy again, sure that there was magic in this world.”
kanej have a way too many good scenes but this is an underrated gem
A lil sketch of Kanej hand-holding and hand-tracing based on a moment in Chapters 3 from the lovely @randomcat1832 's new fic: “With ne'er a fear of drowning” (here on ao3!!). Go read cause Cat's writing AND kanej is absolutely delightful! Hope you liked this <3 leave us a note/comment if you wish!!
I mean, Kaz I get. Jesper, sure. Wylan, I’d like to see some more realistic body types but there’s little to work with from the book in either direction.
But Nina? The canon curvy and chubby queen who is unashamed of her love of food? Show me her love handles!! Show me her double chin!! Show me her thighs!!
Matthias? The big burley guy whose initial personality trait is pretty much just Big? Show me his beef! Show me his physique!
Inej? The icon who is so strong she can pull herself up a practically flat wall with her fingers and toes? Sure, she’s ‘lithe’ but that does not mean skin and bones y’all! Give me her muscles!! Give me broad shoulders and thighs so strong even if they look chubby!
These people are not sticks. They have fat and muscle and curves.
Diversity matters. Consider spicing up your art a bit, especially when canon gives you such great characters to work with.
He leaned forward, seeking some answer in those vague hazel eyes. “What did they do to you?”
She laid a gentle hand on his cheek. Her palm felt cool and dry. “What did they do to you?”
was experiencing marya and wylan emotions and i’ve had this drawing of them in my head forever. neither of them actually look like this in the scene but you know. fuck it we ball.
Kaz smiled. "I buried your son," he crooned, savoring the words. "I buried him alive, six feet beneath the earth in a field of rocky soil. I could hear him crying the whole time, begging for his father. Papa, Papa. I've never heard a sweeter sound." ― Leigh Bardugo, Crooked Kingdom
~ A transparent Kaz Brekker fanart (or a sticker maybe) which was extremely fun to draw. Hope you liked how it turned out :)
I kinda enjoy drawing my favourite book characters the way I imagine them. Gotta say, Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows is the best YA fantasy book I have read so far.
