Kaz really is the best for dressing like all the wealthy and powerful people in Ketterdam. It's so many things: pointing out how they are just like him, disrespect through refusal of his "place", and like... he was left to die in the gutter, and yet he crawled his way out and put on the costume of a rich man.

every time I see someone call kaz and inej a sun and moon couple they always say inej is the sun and kaz is the moon? but inej never gives up her light and is the brightest thing in the dark, she can easily fade into the night and can hide in the shadows, she is everywhere but sometimes remains unseen, she now basically wants to command the ocean and the pull of the tide for her mission (i.e. ‘she wanted to call that storm’), and she defies/has a certain amount of control over gravity meanwhile kaz is always burning, has influence and control over the whole city and keeps everything in orbit, is untouchable and will burn you, and uses his own searing rage to survive and destroy but is also destroying himself in the process.

Everyone:

Inej: ...I did. I broke it.

Kaz: No. No you didn't. Pim?

Pim: Don't look at me. Look at Wylan.

Wylan: What?! I didn't break it.

Pim: Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken?

Wylan: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken.

Pim: Suspicious.

Wylan: No, it's not!

Nina: If it matters, probably not, but Annika was the last one to use it.

Anika: Liar! I don't even drink that crap!

Nina: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?

Anika: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Nina!

Inej: Okay let's not fight. I broke it. Let me pay for it, Kaz.

Kaz: No! Who broke it!?

Everyone:

Pim: Kaz... Jesper’s been awfully quiet.

Jesper: rEALLY?!

*Everyone starts arguing*

Kaz, being interviewed: I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it.

Kaz: I predict 10 minutes from now they'll be at each other's throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick.

Kaz:

Kaz: Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.

It's always so funny to me when people call Kaz a serial killer or a murderer bc like. boy do I have news for you about the other crows.

that theory about kanej doing something we'll never get to see them do being a sort of dream sequence feels right. in the books, we get to read kaz's daydreams and his thoughts that never actually come into fruition. like the you, inej. you scene. what if to show kaz's thoughts, we get his daydreams on screen. and obviously there are more intense ones than that you inej you scene so

I’m sure we’ve talked abt this before but I don’t know where the fandom gets the idea that kaz is like broody and emo all the time cos that’s just not his personally at all. sure he’s cruel and harsh but not in a pathetic moody way. the majority of the time he’s the one pulling the most jokes and it’s inej or jesper or nina (and actually wylan too now I think about it) that sulk the most at him. and when he is angry or hostile, he’s not like “grumpy moody emo boy” he’s fucking terrifying. and it’s usually for a good reason, too.
