I don't care if the Crows spin-off is just the six of them acting it out in Freddy's living room while Freddy's wife films it on a phone, I'm willing to pay real money for the footage.

i want to show some fucking appreciation for amita suman. inej was most likely forced to strip in front of clients while at the menagerie. and i think amita’s acting shows that, her facial expressions in this scene show that she’s thinking of the last time she had to do this, there’s a hardness in her expression. but when she sees the kaz is turned away, his eyes averted, her gaze softens

can we talk about that “can you—” “yes i’ll look out for him” part? jesper has been there since the beginning. he saw kaz saving inej from the menagerie, he saw him teaching her how to fight, give her her first knife, he saw inej starting to rely on kaz, trust him even, maybe fall for him, as unlikely as that seemed to be, he saw kaz relying on her too, inej being the only saint who ever watched over him. jesper knows what they mean to each other, and this line just killed me.

Okay, we’re about to get real deep here. Ready?
This immediately made me think of that Doctor Who quote, “Never trust a hug. It's just a way to hide your face.”
Jesper often gets used as the comic relief and uses humor to deflect quite a bit. Even here, he makes a joke about “of course you’ll miss me.” He wants to let Inej know that it’s okay she’s leaving, that she doesn’t have to worry about him or Kaz, he’ll take care of them.
But the second she can’t see him, his face betrays him. And the second she leaves, he starts to sob. Quietly, so she won’t hear and turn back. Because he knows that this is something she needs to do, and he knows how much it will hurt her to see how much it’s hurting him. It so beautifully portrays their relationship because yes, he’s Inej’s family, but she’s his too.
