FREE ORACLE READINGS
There are three days left in this melancholy month of October, which is a real shame for those who love the holiday that sits at the end of the calendar.
Of course, even in dire times, witches are known to have a penchant for celebration! As the vibrant greens and browns of nature in Summer fade to orange, to grey, to inky black on paper white, it is important to keep our spirits up.
To help, I’m celebrating the ever advancing wheel of the year by offering free oracle card readings! My Post+ will include weekly general readings of five cards, but I am also offering free readings monthly. This month I have three spaces open for whoever needs them, in a single-, three-, and five-card spread!
These can be sent through DM or through my asks (anonymously is fine), important information will be as follows:
Your initials, as well as the initials of any loved ones you may want to direct a reading towards.
The current month at the time of requesting.
The amount of cards you want in your spread (1, 3, or 5)
Any specific topics/questions you may want your reading directed towards.
I will be using the Goddess Temple Oracle deck to help guide you through spiritual introspection, providing you with a tool you can use to find answer within yourself and within the universe.
Below is an example of a reading using the Goddess Temple Oracle deck in a five-card spread, where the three top card represent three phases of a journey, and the two cards below represent spiritual transition points along the journey.

Autumn Equinox 2022
I did very simple things for this Equinox - myrrhe incense and a candle for the gods with a short prayer.
But the best part of it, its most significant meaning was the birthday of my grandfather in Auvergne, where I deeply felt the joy of being together and share a wonderful time.
My grandpa cherishes his memories, like this ancient photography of members of my family.
I love being in this country house where I spent many childhood holidays.

Today is Autumn Equinox also known as a Pagan holiday called Mabon when night and day are at equal length, it is mainly a harvest festival, it is the last harvest before winter comes. In old times it would be a time to start stocking up on fruit, wheat, corn and grain for the winter months ahead.
This is a time of transformation, The great wheel has turned as we pass into a new season and say goodbye to Summer. The earth is going through a major shift, where darkness will now start to take over light as the nights slowly start to get longer and days get shorter. Cold will slowly start to take over warmth and death will start to take over life as plants will wilt and trees will start to lose their leaves, fields will become baron and grey. wild animals will start to hibernate and gather food for the winter months.
Mabon is a time of thanksgiving, we thank the God and Goddess for all that we have and thank them for the harvest we see before us. The sap of trees returns back to their roots deep in the earth, changing the greens of summer to the fires of autumn, to the flaming reds, oranges and golds. We are returning to the dark from whence we came. The Goddess is radiant as Harvest Queen and the God finally dies with his gift of pure love with the cutting of the last grain, he will descend into the underworld, his last day on earth will be Samhain when a gate will open between our world and the underworld making the veil between our two world become thin.
We enjoy the abundance of fruit and vegetables at this time. It is customary to make stews made with root vegetables and to bake home made bread and pies, we would have a big family meal and invite friends and neighbours to join us, drinking cider and apple juice.
On Mabon we adorn our altars with pumpkins, nuts, corn, wheat, squash, fruits and any other seasonal fair and any falling leaves, pine cones or acorns we may find to honour the season and to thank the God and Goddess for the wealth of harvest bestowed upon us. Light candles with Autumn colours of red, orange, white, brown or gold. Also candles of black and white, black to represent the God and white to represent the Goddess. The alter will bring luck and protection. When lighting the candles ask the Goddess for her blessings and the God for protection for the colder, darker months to come.
Mabon is a transition for the Triple Goddess as she goes from her mother phase to her crone phase, her final phase from her journey of the year.
The Autumn Equinox is a time of balance, of both light and dark, it is a time to look within ourselves and balance our thoughts and emotions and to find balance in our lives. To embrace our dark and our light equally as one cannot exist without the other. it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hussle and bustle of everyday life.
Mabon reminds us of the cycle of life, death and rebirth. As we go into the dark half of the year, we also know that Spring and Summer will be upon us again and life will flourish once more.

All that falls shall rise again

Second Harvest, the Mysteries, Equality and Balance
Symbols of Mabon: wine, gourds, pine cones, acorns, grains, corn, apples, pomegranates, vines such as ivy, dried seeds, and horns of plenty.
Mabon is considered a time of the Mysteries. It is a time to honor Aging Deities and the Spirit World. Considered a time of balance, it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hussle-bussle of everyday life.
May your Mabon be memorable, and your hearts and spirits be filled to overflowing...

Plans for My 2022 Autumnal Equinox Celebration
So I'm once again making plans for the upcoming Autumnal Equinox celebration, but I'm pretty sure that my plans will be much of the same as they were last year and the year before.
Generally speaking, I hope to start my celebration this Sunday. It's going to be a mix of day trips to the city, staying home to clean, going for a bike ride in the park, cooking up my Mabon menu, and hopefully lazing around a bit either reading my book or Librarians fanfiction. And somewhere in there I have to fit in a visit to the dentist.
Anyway, as usual, I plan to adjust the dates because the actual Equinox falls on September 22nd, but I have to work that day, so I can't spend it cooking, cleaning and frolicking in nature. My solution is to move up my main celebration activities to Tuesday, September 20th. (I don't work on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.)
Here's what I've worked out so far:
* Note : I'm updating this as the week goes on. If an item appears in pink, it's because it was something originally scheduled for a different day.
Sunday (9/18) --
Sleep in 🛌 ☑️
Read in bed 📚 ☑️

For dinner, here’s what I’m making:
- Hobo Meatball Stew (recipe found here, except I’m using ground turkey and adding tomato sauce, cauliflower, potatoes, carrots, garlic and paprika based on the suggestions in the comments)
- Fresh bread (nothing fancy)
- Apple crisp topped with S'mores-flavored ice cream (for dessert, as a farewell to summer and hello to fall)
I’ll probably have some hot chocolate later in the evening too as a final hat tip to the beginning of autumn.
Wednesday (9/21) --

Oh yeah, another thing I plan to do this year (unless I forget because I already have a lot planned) is to start this photo challenge I found on Pinterest. I'm thinking about starting it on September 22nd, and keep it going for the next 31 days.
I don't want to share the photos on my Twitter or IG, so I'll likely share them here on Tumblr. I don't think anyone will be interested in the photos or join in, but then again, I have 112 followers on this blog apparently, so maybe I'm wrong.
The point is that it seems like fun, and I want to do something a little different this year.

All in all, I think this is a solid plan for the final major harvest day of the year and the start of my favorite season. And as you may have heard, I plan to make the most of this season.
But first things first, bring on the last days of summer blending effortlessly into fall.

Hello, how are you? Can I participate in your free reading please? I'm C, sun Sag, moon aries, rising scorpio. I would like to choose the 5-card spread if it is allowed. I wanted to know how me and my FS will treat each other? Thanks a lot for this opportunity!
Hello C! I sat with this for a while, meditating on the answers I got from my cards. Oracular skills are fun to practice, but hard to tune, and questions about relationships are never easy or clear to answer.
Your first card is The Allies. This tells me that it’s time for you to listen to voices outside the situation, search for wisdom in those you trust. In this reading, it can also mean that you will find a kinship or a wisdom with your FS, be on the lookout for intelligent people whose judgment you find yourself relying on.
Your second card, a transitional card between your first and third card, is The Selkie. This card is all about identity, which is hugely relevant to the situation at hand. The Selkie was a magical creature who came out from the sea in the form of a seal-skinned woman. She lived life in the human world for a time before retiring to the sea and rejoining her wilder side as a full-fledged Selkie, one of many. Do you find that you’re prone to repression? IF you find you hide parts of yourself to please others, be sure to stay careful of that with your FS in the future. Stay true to yourself and to them.
Your third card is The Shapeshifter (Inverted). The Shapeshifter is one who adapts to their environment and community. The inversion here, coupled with The Selkie, tells me that though you must be cautious of the ways in which you change to appease others, your FS might accompany a return to a more natural and happier state. Be on the lookout for people you feel you can truly be yourself around.
Your fourth card, another transitional, is The Dark Cave (Inverted). The Dark Cave is the womb of mother earth, a place where you must use a cleansing fire to find your way to the light. This is a more abstract card, and I found myself puzzling over this while I did your by-hand writeup. I think that once you find yourself changing in safe and measured ways, it’s up to you to navigate these changes in ways that help develop you positively. In this instance, that means growing in ways you feel proud of.
Your fifth card is The Mirror. Luckily, one of the more abstract cards in the deck is followed up by one of the most transparent. The Mirror tells me that at the end of your journey, how your FS treats you will be down largely to the way you treat yourself. Value yourself and come to understand your needs, that’s the only way you’ll be able to communicate your needs to others.
I hope that’s helped, relationship advice specifically is some of the hardest to give, though it’s one of the most requested topics in readings. This reading came down to boundaries, understanding where yours lie and when you’re willing to cross them.

Happy fall. It's Mabon (the fall equinox) .....I've been slacking in my witch posting lately....and I'm sorry. Summer was literally a hot mess lol and now I've been hyper focused on pole at the moment. But I'm hoping the fall and spooky szn will put me in a more witchy mood. And hopefully will have time to post about it too. I hope all your rituals go well... hopefully the change of season brings blessings and joy.
