Dracula cats! Catula!
Again i have been persuaded into sharing art from the @lxgentlefolkcomic discord - this time it's cat designs of the characters of dracula.
notes under the readmore
- the only ones with cat breeds are quincey (maine coon), arthur (british shorthair) and lucy (british longhair)
- oh, and dracula, who is some kind of oriental, becausv i wanted him to have that Weird and Slinky look, and also the weird nose shape. he gets more black as he feeds, which obviously isnt a thing cats can do, but it does come in in the same pattern that points do (extremities first)
- being a maine coon, quincey is huge. that is all its just worth saying again
- jonathans eyes also get a slightly red overlay after his time with dracula. because of the horrors.
- quincey harker has his dads freckles, his mums eyes, and also her little wonky cross marking
- if lucy and arthur did get to have children/kittens they would have been very cute. alas

i am. OBSESSED. with ur jonathan harker. particularly his hair. it's so lovely. also i binged the league of extraordinary gentlefolk yesterday and the scene with the knife!!!! with dr. kemp! lives rent-free in my head.

This take gave me three types of cancer still undiscovered to man. “Griffin is a marshmallow that hates killing” he wanted to take over the world with domestic terrorism because he hates abled people. He made his father kill himself and barely regrets it if at all. Did you read Bizarro World Invisible Man. Also what’s w “marshmallow” that’s a six feet tall jacked as fuck adult man. Why is the (evil) disabled character whose definitory trait is his misanthropic rage an uwu sweetie cutie pie that only pretends to be mean all of a sudden. Anything you wanna share w the class. Don’t get me started on the fucking ongoing Alpha Male -ification of Jonathan Harker. This person’s characterization of Jonathan Harker is LITERALLY a monstrous hybrid of Griffin and Hyde with a sprinkling of redeeming qualities because he’s the good guy hero uwu. BRB I’m walking into the ocean.

My apologies for coming to your inbox out of the blue, but I know you are a great lover of our good friend Jonathan Harker. As such, I thought you might enjoy the knowledge that our lad was a user of the first personal camera by the brand name Kodak in today's entry to take pictures of the Carfax estate. I learned that it was only 10 years before the book was published that first Kodak cameras were sold to the public, and I hadn't caught that "Kodak" was in reference to the camera brand my first time through. With all this in mind though, it begs the question if he ever used it to take pictures of Mina?
I'm sure he did post-canon at least! In the LXGF server we love to talk about Jonathan's photobook and what he'd put in it, which is a lot of me linking old cheesy cat photos from catsofyore.
It's very possible that given he's a newly-minted solicitor saving up for his wedding that the camera is actually work-specific and he wouldn't be free to take personal pictures with it, but once he has a living of his own? EVERYONE GET IN THE PHOTO and also bring the cats

I combed thru your AO3 the other day and if the way you write Dracula fic, characterization and atmosphre-wise, is anything to go by, I'm looking forward to the LXGF comic since you are one of the writers :3
Thank you! It’s been fun cranking out these AU pilot episodeish fics to test drive playing with the League’s world and characters. The canon stories will necessarily take much different turns compared to my ‘Jonathan Harker Puts Up with Weird Old Men’ saga, but it’s good (self-indulgent) practice
