What is a snowstorm to a Junco?
Why, nothing at all.

Eurasian magpie posing beautifully.
This picture was also taken in Portugal at the Algarve and I was really surprised to encounter those magpies there, because they also have the Iberian magpies there and Eurasian jays, but I haven't seen a single carrion crow and rook there. I have no idea why that is the case. So if anyone has an answer to that mystery, please tell me.

This Gray Catbird looks concerned for the environment. But on the plus side, this Pier 1 marsh at Brooklyn Bridge Park "traps" a lot of trash, removing it from the East River. 😃
