All the lights are sparkling for you, it seems
On the downtown scenes, shady blue
Beatboxing and rapping in the summer rain
Like a boss, you sang jazz and blues
The summer's wild and I've been waiting for you
All this time, I adore you
Can't you see you're meant for me?
Summer's hot but I've been cold without you
I was so wrong not to tell
Medellín, tangerine dreams

In defence of Elizabeth Bennet
I recently read a post regarding the questionable displayed property of both Lizzy and Darcy in Pride and Prejudice and it gave much to think. This is somewhat a reply in relation to it.
Yes, by their time period Lizzy would be regarded as a bit wild. Perhaps not like Lydia, who flirts left and right (she is a child still, I don't blame her) but she does have her moments. She walks alone in the countryside, she spends time alone with men such as in the Hunsford Parsonage when Darcy calls and yes, she accepts a letter from a men who is unrelated to her.
So yes, I will agree that she skirts around property with readers of the time even saying that Jane should have been the MC or even one review where J and D should have married instead, likely thanks to Jane being that much more proper.
However, in defence I would say that even though Lizzy behaves a bit erraticly, she means well. The rules she disobeys are done on clean concious because she doesn't truly believe she is doing anything wrong.
She walks alone? Yes, in her hometown, where she knows everybody. The truth is that she is a lot more naive than modern readers believe, simply because she doesn't have the acess to the knowledge that we do now. She does all of those things because she believes they are things that don't bring harm. She never really considers the real possibility of SA, which is frankly what many of those rules were trying to prevent.
Regarding the acceptance of the letter I would attribute that to her temper. The line in the book uses the word "instinctly" which I always took as the fact that Lizzy is an impulsive person with a tendency to behave rashly. She is very impertinent and can be nearly rude often. Which is why I believe that the letter she does read ends up being a set down that makes her grow, as she is faced by her flaws, as much as Darcy needed that response to his proposal.
The point is that they are both a little wild in their own ways but they are good.
Sorry for the rant and I wish I could explain myself better, I just needed to expose my thoughts

🥰 and ✨ please!
Thank you for the ask @pocket-lilacs! I hope you don't mind - it's Pride and Prejudice fanfic time!
🥰 A fic that gives you warm fuzzy feelings
A New Addition by @ralkana. It's wholesome Darcy family fluff. If you want something that will make you happy and feel all the warm fuzzies, this one's it.
✨ A fic you wish you could read again for the first time
Colors by Laure001. This shorter fic blew me away. It's a forced marriage AU, with everything being told through the lens of Lizzy fighting through depression. It's lovely.

Someone who loves you truly will always respect you. I was re-reading Pride and Prejudice and this is what occured to me.
Mr. Collins didn't love Lizzy and that's why didn't respect her decision of refusing his proposal. He kept on saying all kind of illogical things, trying to convince her to change her decision, wasn't at all discouraged by her and kept on pestering her to accept him.
He didn't give in to Lizzy's resolve to refuse him. He didn't consider her determined and wise enough to make the best decision for herself. He kept on mistaking her refusal for the affectation and coquetry of an elegant female because he didn't hold Lizzy and her opinions in a position to be respected.
While Mr. Darcy, being truly in love with Lizzy, insulted her connections and status(he surely was very arrogant) but respected her decision of blatantly refusing him. He retrospected the events he was accused of and offered her an explanation but without pressuring her to change her mind. He again mentioned that one word from her would silence him on this subject forever. He believed her reasons for rejecting him and respected her decision.
He considered Lizzy's social status beneath himself but never doubted her intelligence or capability to make right decision for herself. He knew she was smart, accomplished and trusted her judgement. DARCY RESPECTS LIZZY.
WHO LOVES YOU, WILL ALWAYS RESPECT YOU.
Thank you so so much for coming to my half-witTED TALK.
P.S. - True P&P fans can romanticize every single event of the novel. :)

I think the best part of enemies to lovers it's the characters are mirrors. Everything what they hate in the other is the same they hate in themselves.
So, learning to loving the other, in the process, they learn to love themselves.
