reading the long Spiegel article about Rammstein rn and god, all these men, Depp, Manson, Weinstein, Lindemann show so openly what they are. men in general often do. and the fact that so many men online still act as if allegations only begin to matter when the accused is already behind bars just shows this casual misogyny and deep, scary desire to keep the status quo, their societal upper hand.

what a sad world in which men, especially the rich and famous alphas, can't treat young women like cattle and do to their bodies whatever they want.

my dad and brother and a coworker have been to multiple Rammstein concerts and I never cared for their (to me always the same sounding music) and their play with fascist and macho and everything taboo imagery and sound. everytime you mentioned things like that to people you would always get treated like an idiot because obviously it's all just sarcastic and is used to make a point or whatever they don't actually mean it. but... unless someone, specifically men, portray themselves in their art in this way but out of character are outspoken about the right things, like are actually vocally feminists and pro LGBTG+, etc, i don't buy it that it is all just a "persona". it's really the exception.
