Don't know if requests are open but it's worth a shot? I've admired your blog a lot lately, it's great!
Thank you so much! I do hope to keep impressing you! I really love writing these kind, because you get to focus on the reactions, which I also seem to make dramatic. Lol
Tried doing something a little more different this time.
~~~~~
Noctis
No matter what, Noctis couldn’t believe it, his father, his home gone. He wanted you to come on this road trip, but you instead declined, wishing to stay home and assist his Father, as the future Princess of the Lucian people, you needed to be seen more often. Besides you stated you wanted to bond with your future father in law, and wanted Noctis to enjoy his boy’s trip and the next time that the two of you would be together would be your wedding day in Altissia.
Noctis could still feel the soft kiss against his lips, as you bid him farewell with a bright smile, wearing the beautiful dress he had picked out for you, an early wedding present. He remembered you often stating that you never knew what to wear to these kinds of things, you were just a commoner in love with a Prince.
“Are you sure?” Noctis asked once again as you followed him to the bottom of the stairs, flanked by your Lady in waiting.
You smiled softly, “Go have fun with the boys, I’ll see you soon, and when we get home, we’ll celebrate.”
Yet now the Prince had no home to return to, no family, no you. He kept ringing your phone hoping to get ahold of you, yet the first time it went to your voicemail. By the tenth time that he had listened to your voicemail message, he had realized that he was doing it simply to hear your voice one last time.
During dull moments of the travel, Noctis had repeatedly thumbed through his phone, looking to the pictures of you two together. Some of the tabloids, others selfies you had taken, and his favorite, the day that you both became promised to each other. Even his Father was there, and it was the first time, in a long time that Noctis had seen his Father smile.
His perfect world torn apart in just a short time.
“… dead are King Regis, Prince Noctis, Lady Lunafreya, and Princess to be…”
Ignis turned down the television within the Hotel, as everyone turned to Noctis, inquiring about their next choice in action. Cor had stated that Noctis would need to collect the King’s Arms at this point, and the next stop would be Larissa where he was to originally meet you and Lunafreya to be wedded as part of the peace ceremony in a few days.
“We’ll keep going.” Noctis replied, yet all he wanted to do was curl up in bed and wake up from this nightmare.
When they next ran into Cor, Noctis pulled the Marshall aside, inquiring if he had found anything when in Insomnia last or could verify if any of it was true. Cor did not answer, and that only made Noctis lose what little hope he had left.
The days blended together, as the group made their way across the ocean, just a day before it was revealed that Lady Lunafreya was found alive and within the city of Larissa. Despite how bad Noctis wished to see his old friend, he was also terrified to know the absolute truth, those around him kept trying to give him hope, yet it seemed hopeless. Yet the next day Noctis found himself within the masses standing below Lunafreya giving her speech, when her eyes locked on his own, a small smile graced the woman’s lips.
“Lady Lunafreya! How was it that you survived and all those with you had unfortunately lost their lives?” A reporter inquired.
Lunafreya with all the dignity she could muster, stood tall, her shoulders back as she smiled weakly, “Princess to be, excuse me, the Princess Y.N and her Lady in waiting, assisted me with escape.”
“And where is the Princess?”
Gentiana stepped forward, whispering something with Lunafreya’s ear, before motioning her to leave, turning to the crowd with those closed eyes, “Lady Lunafreya has had a long journey, she will rest for the time being.”
Noctis turned to leave, drying the tears from his eyes, even in your final moments you had put Lunafreya’s life before your own. He could not begin to explain how much he missed you.
“Arf!”
Noctis jumped, only to stare at the familiar black dog before him, “Umbra, hey buddy.”
Yet instead of waiting for his typical greeting, Noctis was instead pushed by the dog. Begging the Prince to follow him, as he raced through the crowd. Joined by the others as they saw Noctis racing after the dog that typically just went off and did his own thing. They followed Umbra around the large building to a side entrance, moving in only to be greeted by Pyrna and Gentiana.
“Prince Noctis,” Gentiana smiled, bowing to the young man, “Lady Lunafreya has been expecting you. Please follow me.”
Once again the group found themselves being led through hall after hall, only to run into Lunafreya as the woman was exiting a room. Her eyes locking to Noctis as she smiled brightly, moving over to the group. Getting bows from the other three men, and a hesitate hug in return from Noctis.
“I am so happy to see you are fine.” Lunafreya smiled, parting the hug.
“Luna,” Noctis whispered, tears spring to his eyes as he attempted to process the question on his lips. “About Y/N,”
“If it not for her, I would not be here now, there is absolutely no one who can take her place.”
That sealed it, Noctis now knew that his last piece of home was gone. Only to turn in confusion as he felt Lunafreya touch his arm, moving him towards the room that she had exited when they had approached. The woman pushing open the door, allowing Noctis to step in by himself, following shortly, as the others followed after her, all standing back by the door.
Yet sitting there enjoying the sunlight at a cafe table, eyes closed enjoying the sea breeze through the open veranda. Looking every bit the Princess, Noctis had fallen in love with, despite the fact that you were a commoner as the tabloids loved to mention, constantly. That beautiful black trumpet dress, almost making you appear like an angel, and you had stated that you didn’t think you had the figure for it.
“That was fast, Lulu.” You giggled, turning your head from the sunlight, eyes opening. Only to widen at the being standing before you. “Noct…”
Noctis took a hesitant step forward, then another, almost like a child learning to walk again. An arm reached out to you, your name spilling from his lips. This had to have been a dream! Everything told him, everyone told him you were gone from him forever. Yet you stood, and before he knew it the two of you were rushing into each other’s arms.
“Noctis!” You cried, your face buried within his shoulder, his embrace was a little tight yet it proved that he was here. That you were both here together!
Noctis didn’t even attempt to stop the tears that were falling from his eyes, he didn’t want to let you go! He refused to let you go ever again! Never far from his sight! He only pulled away to look you in the eye, allowing you to cup his face as you brushed the tears from his eyes, a bright smile on your face.
Noctis for just this moment, forgot everyone else in the room, as he pulled you close, his lips crushing against your own. He held you tight within his arms, thinking of the horrid nights where he thought he would never see you again, never get to hold you again or feel your soft lips against his own. His entire world was back, you were back. He only pulled away, so that he could look at your face again, to see those beautiful eyes. Those pictures on his phone could never do you justice.
“I love you so much.” Noctis whispered against your lips.
“I love you too.” You smiled, pressing a kiss to his lips again. “Sweetie, you’re crying.” You giggled, tears falling from your eyes as well. “I’m so happy to see you.” You smiled looking over his shoulder to the others. “All of you.”
Noctis smiled softly, only now remembering the others in the room, yet he held your hand tightly, as the others finally approached.
“We are happy to see you safe.” Ignis replied, with a soft bow at the hips.
“Iggy.” You pouted playfully, wrapping your free arm around his shoulders hugging him tightly. “Gladiolus, I leave for a few days and you go and get new scars?” You giggled playfully, as you hugged the man best you could with your single arm.
“Y/n!” Prompto wailed.
“Prompto!” You laughed loudly, as the blonde latched onto you tightly, crying his eyes out. “There, there Prompto.” You smiled, petting his back. “Are the others okay?”
“Yeah, they’re waiting with Iris.” Gladiolus stated.
“Y/N, how did you manage to get here?” Ignis asked, as Prompto finally released you.
You finally let go of Noctis’s hand, only to step over to Lunafreya who was waiting silently by the door, taking her hand as you moved her over to the others, “Girl’s trip really. Lunafreya and I managed the entire trip.”
“Alone?” Noctis asked.
“We ran into a little trouble here and there.” Lunafreya admitted.
“Yet we took care of it, only took a few days.” You smiled turning to the blonde woman, “Did we ever return that Chocobo?”
“I don’t believe we did.” Lunafreya gasped, only for the two of you to break into school girl giggles.
Noctis watched as you two shared a giggle, his gaze turning to your hands as he noticed the matching bracelets on your wrists, that was new. You only seemed to wear your engagement band, and Lunafreya her necklace, so this was rather noticeable quickly. “What exactly happened?”
You reached out using your free hand to grab your Prince’s hand, “It’s a long story, let’s get dinner and we’ll tell you everything.”
~~~~~
Prompto
Sweetie, are you okay?
Sweetie, please…
Please call me when you get this.
I’m worried.
Prompto’s hands shook, as he sent his latest text message. Less than 48 hours ago they had all learned of the Fall, and within those 48 hours Prompto had sent well over 100 texts messages to you. Something that was typically answered within 5 minutes, but now every single one of them was left unopen.
That morning when he had left, you stopped by provided him with a new lanyard for his camera, and quite a few kisses to hold him over until he returned home. He knew that you were going to a family get together, the next day and the entire family was upset that, their newest addition of sunshine wasn’t able to make it.
Prompto turned off his screen, only to press the power button seconds later. Looking to that final selfie the two of you had taken, your lips pressed against a freckled cheek.
“We should be getting to Wiz shortly.” Ignis called to the rest of the car.
Maybe the Chocobos would take his mind of the horrible thoughts that went through his head, and he’d finally be able to stop stressing. Something deep down within him, something told him that he just needed to hold on a little longer.
Yet that still didn’t stop the tears that often sprung to his eyes as his wondering mind would move back to memories of the two of you.
The Chocobo roost came into view, as the four men climbed out. While the others were discussing the latest hunt with Wiz, Prompto found himself finally holding his camera. Chocobos always made everything better, right?
His fingers brushed against the lanyard you gave him, trying to find the perfect model for his photography.
“…I told you that would happen.”
Prompto quickly turned, that sounded so familiar.
“Now you have seeds all in your feathers.” The voice giggled, only to answered with a ‘Kweh’ “Don’t you get upset at me because you don’t know how to slow down.”
Prompto rushed through the crowd, bypassing families coming to view the Chocobos. He didn’t notice when he rushed into the ‘Employees Only’ area, yet he did notice the being before him. He could never forget that! Watching as delicate hands brushed away seeds from the feathers, lips curling into a giggle as the large bird nuzzles and preened the hair.
Prompto didn’t realize that he had moved over to the two, until his hands grabbed the shoulder, spinning the person around, before pulling them forward his lips pressed against their own. Tears falling heavily, as he clung tightly, wanting to make sure this wasn’t another dream.
“Pom-toe?”
Prompto felt the mutter against his lips, before pulling away, looking to your confused expression. A smile appearing on his face, as tears remained falling, pulling you into a hug, as he stroked your back and hair. “You’re here.”
“Prompto, what’s wrong? Why are you crying? What are you doing here?” You asked, only for the man to hug you tighter.
“You didn’t answer my text and I was worried something happened.”
You pulled away from the blonde, to look him in the eye, looking around for something clean to dry his face with, only able to find the bandana wrapped around your neck. Cleaning the tears from his cheeks. “Prompto, what happened?”
Prompto took a deep breath, “The city was destroyed.”
‘What?” You gasped, lucky the blonde reached out to catch you from your stumble. “How, what happened?”
“You didn’t know?” Prompto asked.
“My phone has terrible service out here and the only internet connection is in Uncle Wiz’s office.” You explained as tears began to fall from your eyes. “Prompto, our families, our home.”
Prompto gathered you back in his arms, only to turn as he felt something rest on his shoulder. Looking to see the Chocobo that you were tending to had leaned forward, to nuzzle against the two of you.
~~~~~
Gladiolus
“She got us out Gladdy.” Iris stated over the phone, yet Gladiolus could hear that Iris was trying not to cry. “I tried calling her, but I can’t get a hold of her!”
They were all each other had left in the world, their Father gone, You were gone. Gladiolus tried to play it time and time again in his mind what Iris had told him.
How while they were evacuating, you had put Talcott into car with Jared, before turning to Iris grabbing the girl before throwing her in as well. No matter how much Iris had screamed and begged for you to come with them.
“No room, please take care of them, Jared!” You yelled.
“Ms. Y/N,” Jared called.
You smiled brightly, summoning your axe, “I’ll buy some time.” You called disappearing back into the fray of the MT that had begun to take over the city.
Gladiolus knew his duty was to the future King, to Noctis yet he wanted to be at your side so bad. That morning you had escorted the group to the Regalia, telling them to be safe and that when Gladiolus returned he should take a few days off so that you could spend it together. Yet now Gladiolus knew that, those days would not come, their entire world was torn apart.
“Gladdy.” Iris muttered softly.
“We’re about 2 days out of Lestallum, stay put.” Gladiolus replied, handing the phone back to Noctis.
Gladiolus never felt so defeated, how was he suppose to take this in stride? How was he suppose to bounce back from this? You were the first, in a long line of failed relationships, and one night stands that made him think differently. You were strong, brave, and just the perfection he needed in life, yet now to have you torn away, because of this stupid war that his Father, and King Regis had tried to halt and prevent. At least some good news was made, Lunafreya had made it out, and was currently in Lestallum.
Noctis would at least get to where he needed to be, and Gladiolus was determined to make sure that Noctis would make it to Lunafreya to start this journey they were now on. Despite the Prince dealing with his own loss of his love and late Princess.
The move to Lestallum was a long one, yet as they arrived and Gladiolus was finally able to hold the final piece of his world. Hugging Iris tightly, and speaking with Jared about your final moments.
“She was on orders from your Father to return to the streets and assist with evacuation. If I know anything about Clarus Amicitia he was protecting Y/N.” Jared replied. “You must all be exhausted, do rest for the evening.”
Yet even as he tried, Gladiolus could not sleep, he was with Iris, and judging by the way the young girl was sleeping, holding tightly to his hand, currently not holding his book. She was just as broken up, yet had not been able to express it.
Gladiolus must have dozed off, because next he heard was a loud pounding on the front door. He heard Jared moving down the hall, and open the door, only to hear the man gasp loudly.
“Gladdy?” Iris muttered, opening her eyes as she felt Gladiolus removed his hand from her own, going into the hallway, finding the others standing there. Gladiolus moved forward first, seeing Prompto summon a gun, and Ignis a dagger, the man moving towards the door, standing behind Jared.
A cloaked figure in a long coat stood before the man in the doorway, the street lights from outside making them appear more threatening, hand still raised in a knock, almost seeming to be taking in everything. “Jar…” They didn’t get a chance to finish as they collapsed forward into the elder man.
“Who is it?” Gladiolus hissed, moving forward, as the being rested against Jared, not clinging to the old man, yet still using the man so as not to fall over.
“Gla…”
Gladiolus watched with wide eyes, as the hood removed from their head. Hair a mess, cuts lining the face, a few bruises lining underneath the eyes. Yet a smile on those lips, tears gathering in those eyes. Yet then those eyes closed, and everything seemed to go in slow motion as knees buckled and the body collapsed to the floor.
Gladiolus never believed he had moved faster, as he rushed over catching the body before it hit the ground. Cradling close, as he stroked your face, mindful of the scars, he wanted to cry, he wanted to cry so bad. Yet he couldn’t, all of his tears had been shed when he thought he had lost you. So now to see you here, to have you here within his arms, he couldn’t be happier.
“Gladdy, what, Y/N!” Iris gasped as she rushed forward, kneeling besides her elder brother holding onto you tightly.
“Gladiolus,” Ignis called, seeing that they had cleared off the couch, so Gladiolus could move you somewhere comfortable.
The man carefully moved you over to the couch, his hand slipping underneath your jacket, coming back to find blood. Carefully maneuvering you to remove the jacket, as he noticed what appeared to be a bite on your arm, it didn’t appear infected or deep, but it should be treated rather quickly.
As they supplied a potion, you blinked back to this side of the waking world, eyes focusing on Gladiolus than Iris. You could tell how bad the two of you wanted to embrace you.
“Babe?”
You managed to sit up, ignoring the pain within your arm, as you tossed your arms around the two of them tightly, hugging them close to your chest. “I’m so glad you got here.” You cried, pressing a kiss to Iris’s hair and than to Gladiolus’s lips.
Iris cried softly, “I tried calling you, but I couldn’t get through.”
You laughed softly, “Yeah, kinda of flooded the thing, when I opened the hydrant on North to help a family escape.”
“Babe, how did you get here?”
“I got a motorcycle from that cute blonde in Hammerhead, and dropped it off for her at a Hunter’s post, and took a Chocobo the rest of the way, kind of overnighted it.” You explained.
Iris motioned to the wound on your arm, “What about this?”
You looked to the mark, “Yeah, got into a fight with a Courel, son of bit…” You stopped realizing the children in the room. “The thing tried to eat my Chocobo. Everything else, was those MT in the city, by the time I got out they were retreating.”
“We’re just happy to see you’re still with us.” Jared smiled.
Iris suddenly jumped from your hold, “You must be hungry, I’ll make you something.”
“Don’t go out your way, Iris! She’s going to make me a full course meal.” You sighed, “She never listens.”
“Like someone else I know.” Gladiolus replied, turning you to face him as he pressed his lips to your own. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
You nodded softly, slightly dizzy from the force that Gladiolus had kissed you, “I’ll be fine, kind of very exhausted.”
“To travel here within 2 days, I assume you drove through the night.” Ignis replied.
“Yeah, figured trying to stop and find some runes would be too much or hassle, with me bleeding all over the place.” You explained, as Gladiolus moved you to cradle within his lap, you knew that you wouldn’t be leaving his line of sight for a while.
Iris ended up making you a rather large meal, which you were actually rather excited for, seeing that you hadn’t eaten in the last few days, unless you counted the food you picked up from those vending machines. It was nearly dawn by the time that Gladiolus had carried both you and Iris to the bedroom to get some rest, despite your protest that you could walk.
You laid beside Iris, in the twin bed, the younger Amicitia holding tightly to your hand. While Gladiolus sat beside you in a chair, his hand tightly surrounding your own. Every so often you’d feel a kiss against your knuckles, you slowly begun to doze off as you felt a thumb brush against the back of your hand.
“Love you, Gladdy.”
A soft press of the lips against the back of your hand, “Love you too.”
~~~~~
Ignis
The sound of three pairs of heels echoed through the parking bay of the Citadel, smoke and fire rained down on the three of you.
“Princess! Lady Lunafreya!” You called, finding your car, tossing open the door, as the other women jumped in the back. You had just managed to get the car started and the parking bay door open, as the fire quickly spread hitting a few car.
“Fucking Hell!”
“Princess!” You called, to your charge, yet in all honesty you could agree at that statement, as standing before you in the park bay doors was about 10 MT’s ready to fire. “Ladies, please duck!” You yelled, slamming your foot onto the gas, your only thought was that you hoped Ignis and the others were faring much better.
*
Ignis gave a deep shy, he was currently in Galdin Quay, a place the two of you had talked about while planning the Royal Wedding, as the Future King, well unfortunately now, current King’s and the late Princess’s Honeymoon distention. Yet once the two of you realized that the only thing the Royal Couple would have done was fish all day, you had jokingly stated,
“Perhaps we’ll go for our Honeymoon.”
To which Ignis had stated, “I’d take you anywhere you’d love to go, as long as you’re with me everywhere is Heaven.”
Yet now his Heaven was gone, he had heard from you since the fall and he knew for a fact that you would refuse to leave the Future Princess’s side, so when news broke and it was stated that the both the Princess and Lunafreya had perished, he knew that you had as well.
So Ignis sat in this grand restaurant, a glass of a rather expensive whiskey within his hand. He wasn’t a man to drink, perhaps a glass of wine, and within the company of others, yet now he could see why some people turned to the bottle. It made the pain slightly numb, and for a man like Ignis, whom was constantly one step ahead, and analyzing every moment, numb was perfect, even if it was just for a moment.
Green eyes scanned the open air, restaurant/bar area where he was held up. Typically he did not like to distances himself from the others but it seemed for the moment all of them needed a moment alone. Yet maybe that wasn’t a good thing, as his mind began to race.
No matter how much he wished for it, Ignis was man of logic, and logic dictated and told him that you were gone forever. That no matter how much he wish to speak with you, hold you, lay in bed beside you, it wouldn’t happen again. But somewhere, deep, deep within his heart, some part,illogically, constantly and reassuringly insisted that you were there, somewhere.
Pulling his whiskey glass to his lips again, Ignis could see through the clear bottom. Deciding to just finish the glass and go round up the others, Ignis paid his tab, moving from the barstool, relishing in the fact that his head wasn’t spinning as much as he thought it would.
Moving towards the beach, the man figured that Noctis would try his hand at fishing, and Prompto would not be too far away. Hopefully Gladiolus wouldn’t be too far away from the two of them.
Yet as Ignis walked down the pier, he noticed something out the corner of his eye. Turning to glance at the feature head on, Ignis had to stop and focus. It was further down the beach in the sand, yet it was a woman, in black, her shoes in her hands, as she stared out to the water.
“…no.” He whispered, as he begun to move closer, breaking into a run down the docks. Jumping from the pier as he raced across the sand, maybe it was a specter or maybe just the booze playing a joke on him. Yet he needed to know, he just wanted to know!
Ignis watched as the woman turned in his direction, even from this distance he could see the look of shock on her face, and her shoes fall from her hands as she began to race towards him. He feared that somewhere deep down, the other would pass through him, only to feel his arms circle around them, and a very solid body cling tightly to him.
“Ignis!”
“My love, my heart, my world.” Ignis rambled, cupping your tearstained face. He leaned forward, his lips pressing against your own, hand cradling the back of your head. “My stars and moon, I was so worried.”
You smiled through your tears, “My sun and day, I’m so happy that you are safe.”
The two of you stayed within each others embrace, placing kisses against one another. Uncertain of just how long the two of you were standing there.
“Where are the others?”
Ignis pressed another quick kiss to your lips, “I was actually on my way to see them. Let’s fetch your shoes.”
The entire time, Ignis held tightly to you. The two of you were never fond of PDA, aside from linked arms, quick pecks on the cheeks, or hand holding, yet the way Ignis arm rested so beautiful around your waist, his strong body flushed against your own, as you both rounded up the others, whom you couldn’t tell was more excited. As you had both Noctis and Prompto latch onto you the second that you came into view seems that they missed you as well.
“What happened?” Gladiolus inquired, as you all sat down for dinner.
You smiled, as Ignis hand resting so comfortably on your own, “When the attack started, I had just stepped into the Citadel, I was escorting the Princess and Lady Lunafreaya out along with Nyx. We had managed to get out of most of harm’s way, yet when attempting to leave the city, we got into a wreck. I managed to get both the Princess and Lady Lunafreaya toward the outskirts of the city, but at that point I knew the MT’s were tracking my car so I figured it would be best to split up, unfortunately that was the last I heard from them.” You explained. “My phone was unfortunately lost when I was blown off the road.”
“But how did you know to meet us here?” Prompto asked.
“This is the only way to get to Altissia, I figured this would be the best place to find you.” You smiled, before looking to Noctis staring to the table, “I’m certain that the Princess is protecting Lady Lunafreaya, those two managed to form quite the friendship, Noct. Your bride isn’t one to go down so easy.” You replied, turning towards Gladiolus and Prompto. “None of them actually.”
Ignis gave your hand a reassuring squeeze, something about the way you spoke of them, also made him believe it true.
