Danny Fenton was such a weak ass protagonist,he was all quips and 'boys will be boys' with the occasional drama llama that happened like twice a season for 8 minutes meanwhile:

Percy Jackson was an autistic kid who felt worthless at 12 already and became suicidal at 16 but was also a bully beater and took direct action against the gods and did activism in the greco-roman myths world by helping out the less privileged sectors of it and is STILL an anarchist in current canon like in the 1st book

Zak Saturday was a black softboy on a show about cryptids and his love interest was a muslim girl that was potrayed as just minor puppy love instead of cosmic soulmates

Kim Possible was a perfect prep but also a girls girl instead of a pick me and a legit superhero even with all the silliness in her plots

Juniper Lee was a brownskin half chinese girl who was as cool and dorky as white male protagonists with her usual character beats do instead of a stereotype

Virgil Hawkins was deadass the FIRST EVER BLACK SUPERHERO CARTOON PROTAGONIST and such a sweet gentle boy but still had major attitude and they didn't soften up african-american experiences at all

Alex from Totally Spies was the baby of her same age team instead of the mom and wasn't masculanized at all and had just as much depth as the other girls

Ichigo Kurosaki was a goth punk traumatized teenage boy of color who actually acted like one instead of just an edgy douchebag and was obsessed with Orihime for being a pastel autistic kindhearted weirdgirl and treated her like the princess she is 24/7 and said fuck the Soul Society's cop ass over and over again and STUCK BY IT

Aang was a tibetan who's show adressed the cleansing the irl ones go through in it's TITLE ALONE and he was potrayed as a ray of hope for his optimism and gender noncormity instead of ridiculed for them and wasn't a fence sitter like wack ass westernizers in the fandom think he is because literally the only reason he didn't Ozai is that homeboy was not only a buddhist but THE LAST SURVIVING IN-UNIVERSE ONE

And you expect to me to care about Danny's boring deadass.Hell Jake Long is just him but not white and with real character development and lore and that's why i'll never fw Danny,boys of color and girls and especially girls of color and actual outcasts did what he did but infinity times better and i don't celebrate his mediocrity because they gave me standards.Danny Phantom was never a good show,he was just 14 and you haven't shut the fuck up since

after a full month theyre finally done . these designs took a lot out of me to make but i really like how they all turned out. more design info for each under the cut

patton: black cis man, he/him, 6'0 (the tallest except for remus*). 4b hair. he has patches of skin that developed into frog skin following the events of svsr. its functionally similar to vitiligo, as it was caused by the high amounts of stress patton went through, but not the same. his shirt was a gift from janus that was suggested by remus. he has chronic back pain (not a part of the design but this is important to know). he wears the bff bracelet that roman made for him when they were young. he has stretch marks around his shoulders and chest.

roman: italian + latina bigender woman, she/he/star, 5'10. he dyes her own hair often but favors stars natural color with streaks of blond. her sword is longer than that when star actually uses it. i fucked up the proportions when drawing it and didn't have the strength to fix it. she had an entire royal cape but he opts not to wear it in most situations. similarly he owns a lot more jewelry than just the stuff stars wearing in the picture but its often not practical. her bff bracelet is in a drawer in his room right now.

logan: indigenous (specifically mayan) agender person, they/xe, 5'6 (the shortest except for remus*). xyr hair has gone gray from stress despite attempts to fix it, so they have accepted their fate and moved on. xe has a nose ring because virgil is a terrible influence on them. the heart on their cheek marks the first spot that virgil ever kissed xem. xe's been carrying around that orange book a lot recently for some reason. xe has stretch marks around their chest, shoulders, armpit, and hips.

virgil: irish (she makes their skin gray just because) genderfluid person, she/he/they, 5'8 ½. he took up smoking (though they prefer weed over cigs) to try and reduce her and thomas's anxiety. it's seemingly working but now their room smells like weed. her rat tails are 100% real. after accepting anxiety she cut off their jacket sleeves and jean shins to show off more of his body. we love body positivity. the scar on his face is remus's fault. they have many anxiety reducing habits such as can tab collecting and biting her nails. enrichment. the heart on his neck marks the first spot that logan ever kissed her. he changes hair color in accordance with shirt. she has stretch marks around their hip and armpits.

janus: french + spanish trans male, he/hiss/venom, 5'8. the cane is not optional. despite having the fashion sense of an upper class victorian man hi is actively socialist. ve claims he's "reclaiming the style". the tree patterns on hisses overcoat and gloves have absolutely no symbolism related to them whatsoever. the eye he wears around venoms neck is made from serpentine. the ring pattern on hisses gloves is solely because its hard to put rings on over gloves, even though it doesnt matter at all and ve could simply summon rings on hisses fingers if he wanted to. the snake pattern around venoms coat is not sentient.

remus: italian + latino unlabled person, he/it/that thing, height is incredibly unstable but averages to around 5'10 most days. it can see out of the eyes on his earrings and right sleeve. the spikes on that things clothing are indeed real teeth. it misses his friends. it wears some sort of weird lingerie under his uniform. that thing ended up getting the uncontrollable hair genes and it dyes its hair in shrimp colors. he wants to dye its hair with virgil again. the chain can be stored inside of the mace handle, allowing the mace to be used as a morningstar. the preportions on it are also bad sorry. that things shoes are sentient and want to kill you. it wishes janus wasn't so busy. he doesn't want to be alone.

Lucho will eat as many polvorosas as he can fit into his stomach. Same goes for arepas, except if they're stuffed with refried beans.

would you guys believe me when i said discourse within the sasi fandom back in the day involved like. basically shutting down the idea that you liked janus or thought of him as complex. janus was literally a trigger warning we needed to tag for most of the first 1-2 years since his release (i even had it for a video and some old posts believe it or not).

and the whole sympathetic/unsympathetic side shindig 100% started because fans didn't know how to comprehend characters that have Flaws, and whenever they exhibited flaws at any capacity we had to tag it as unsympathetic. what's the Worst was when sides were just acting normal, and you were asked to tag it as "sympathetic side" for some odd reason.

or like. the vast majority of fans drawing patton and virgil white, roman latino, logan asian, and remus and janus, while still white, would just exude antisemitic caricatures and. man this fandom was so white. it was So White.

and i mean it's worse in discords because lol so many people lacked critical thinking. my friends had to argue with a ton of people since they believed the "logan was ignored" plotline is exaggerated by the fans. or a gold one, one of my friends back in the day was told we couldn't understand the problem of having a melting pot of cultures in the usa bc we were non-american poc which is . lol ok . insane shit . this fandom is crazy

You ready? LONG POST HERE WE GO.

Welcome to my SUPER LONG post about the characters. This story takes place in a magical world akin to the owl house, with mystical creatures and magical beings.

This story mostly follows Roman Dreamer, a powerless witch.

Roman Dreamer - He/Him, gay, 20, has no magical abilities, except for amulet -5’7”- has brown (red?) hair, green eyes, latino- total himbo, bounty hunter, Lives with his best friend.

Patton Mourning-Flow: He/Him, Pansexual(maybe),- 21 specializes in healing/plant magic -5’6”- has dirty blonde hair, a bit darker blue eyes, round glasses, works at a garden shop, usually visits his friend at the library while they work.

Logan SilverFlare: He/Him/They/Them, Gay,- 22 specializes in potions/ powerful in all magic/ except oracle- animal companion is a Great Horned Owl named Stella- 5’8”- has brown hair, orange eyes, glasses, scars on their arms from his owl (accidental),

Vergilius (Virgil) CinderHell: Son of Deceit CinderHell, He/Him 19 still learning magic from Deceit, good at oracle/can turn into a dragon/medium sized- 5’5”- dark brown hair, yellow eyes, longer ears, fangs, earrings, bisexual (I wanna say hes questioning, and that's okay.)

Here's the palettes. It's quick, but it's only for colors so you get it. About skin color: Virgil is the palest, when where's Logan, Patton, and Roman ( idk how to say that) like Latino. Roman has his usual prince outfit, so I assume you know how to color him. Logan has silver glasses and ear cuffs. Patton has simpl black glasses. You can color capes how you want, for me it's just gray

Okay, I want to preface that while I'm Latino, I was not taught Spanish, because my mom wasn't taught Spanish. So, all the Spanish is from an online dictionary, and I apologize if it's off.

Virgil thought it was weird that there was a prophecy about either storm or storms sister. And why was it a poem? Sure, prophecies were always vague, storm supposed, but a poem? Who is that extra? Also, why did it have to be about saving the world? Virgil didn’t want to be responsible for that, honestly why would the gods decide that storm, or Luciana, were able to save the world, when they couldn’t do it themselves. Storm’d have to ask Hades when storm saw him next.

Still, it wasn’t like Virgil was against helping out, storm just didn’t like the glares that storm was getting. Especially from the one who called himself Roman. Tensing up, Virgil glared back, unsure about what storm was glaring at him for, but if storm was going to give as much as storm got.

“Quieres que mis hijos hagan qué? I’d rather step on a cactus! My kids should not have to—”

“Dad,” Luciana started, “it’s fine, we’ll do it. Both of us will be fine if we stick together.”

Virgil grimaced at that, sure, if they stuck together everything would probably be fine. But at the same time, what if something went wrong. And it wasn’t as if storm could ask storms sister to stay behind, neither of them knew who the prophecy was talking about, and even if they did, Luciana wouldn’t let storm go alone.

“What Luce said, we’ll be alright. I promise that I’ll get us both home safe.” And Virgil meant it, storms eyes were set. If storm let Luciana die, well then they were a failure of an older sibling.

Their dad’s brows furrowed, and his eyes were stony serious, before he softly stated, “No me prometas nada. Solo quiero que ustedes dos sepan que la magia que los amo.”

Virgil opened storms mouth to speak only for storms dad to speak again.

“Now, I need all of our, last minute guests, to leave the room please.”

Watching as all of the intruders glanced at each other, Virgil noticed that they complied. Albeit a little reluctantly. But at least that meant there was some privacy for what storms dad wanted to say. Using storms magic, Virgil soundproofed the room to the best of storms abilities.

“Dad?” Luciana quietly asked, “What’s going on?”

“Before you two leave, there’s something I must tell you,” this piqued Virgil’s interest, as storms father’s voice was hesitant, as if he didn’t want them to know. “Your parents have placed magic on this place, something that protects us. While you will still be protected by their magic, it won’t be nearly as strong as it is now. Are you sure you still want to go through with this, they could find someone else to help out, I’m sure.”

“Dad,” Virgil’s voice was a little hoarse, as storm kept stormself from crying, “we love you. But they don’t have anyone else, you heard the prophecy. It’s either one of us, I’m sure of it. Again, I’ll keep us as safe as possible.”

“Sí,” Luce wormed their way in between their father’s arms. “We’ll see you again, as I said before, nothing bad will happen as long as Virgil and I stick together.”

how did the boys in your liverpool fic world react to hendo leaving?

Oh dear, they...did not take it well.

First of all, almost everybody was in some sort of denial for a good long while. But then it began to sink in and chaos broke loose. Especially Trentski didn't respond well, because Hendo had just apologized for being so distant from before and now he left. Robbo was already having problems with Milly leaving, and now seeing his bestie so sad wasn't good for him, either.

Virgil, meanwhile, knew that he'd be the new captain from the start. for the first time in a while he panicked, and the team were lost for words because he's usually calm. Ali spent a good four days consulting with the Latino Reds to try and cheer Virg up. And then the captaincy was announced...

and the managing staff? oh BOY. First they went through all five stages of grief in one hour, then they saw the players and knew they had to step up. to this day they really haven't processed it.

Even to this day, nobody really talks about Hendo unless absolutely necessary. They know Hendo can always come back, but nobody brings up what they'd do if it happens.
