Lampwick headcanons!
Lampwick isn't one of my favorite characters from Pinocchio, (favs are Pinocchio and Geppetto) but he's definitely not my least favorite (least fav is Coachman, he's legit pure evil)
Lampwick's not a villain, Disney is just inaccurately representing their characters
As requested/inspired by @casinotrio1965 , so here ya go!
-Lampwick is just his nickname, not his real name. It was inspired by his fascination with burning candlewicks when he was younger. The original book says his name is Romeo, so Romeo is his real name
-Back home, he had little to no friends; so when he was on the coach to Pleasure Island, he found genuine interest in Pinocchio and he was very happy when they became friends and Pinocchio accepted him, and is very appreciative of their friendship.
-After being turned into a donkey, he got put into a seperate shipment (from "Circus" and "Salt Mines") to work on a farm, with a few other donkeys.
-He had never seen so much good food before on Pleasure Island, so that's why he was indulgent (foods like that were rarely even seen back home)
-His father, whoever he was, was absent his entire life (leaving even before he was born), and his mother didn't have much time for him (taking in many odd jobs, such as washing and mending, to support the two of them)
-Lampwick is 12 years old, during the time of the film.
-After Jiminy left the pool hall on Pleasure Island, Lampwick felt very hurt by Jiminy's words towards him :( He's been called all these things his whole life, given his and his mother's situation and status, and hearing it from Jiminy made him feel especially hurt
-He's had the same hat since he was 7 years old (his mother couldn't afford a new one), so that's why he wears his hat tilted to the side, to make it fit better.
-I think he had every intention of returning to his mother after staying on Pleasure Island for a while (he just needed to escape his hard life back home for a while, and he didn't care about the scolding he would get when he came back)
-One of his favorite foods is roast turkey (he had it once as a special meal for Christmas), that's why he was eating one on Pleasure Island
-He definitely has a sweet tooth, and his favorite is chocolate.
-He definitely lived in the shadier part of the village, and hung out around the Red Lobster Inn often.
-His mother and grandmother taught him how to cook
-His grandmother is from his father's side.
-Lampwick would pick little flowers on the side of the street as little gifts for his mother when he was little.

Disney Descendants: Run Little Donkey Girl, Run. For The Villain Hannah Hook au

Song being parodied: Fall Little Wendy Bird Fall.
Who wrote the original song: Lydia the Bard.
[Hannah Hook sits on the throne of Auradon, looking at Tulip through the blade Harry's broken cutlass]:
Little girl, you've no idea what you've got yourself into:
Stand your ground for a night and think the world's made for you.
Well, I've tried too hard to see all of my work come undone,
So better trot on home real fast…
[Tulip gives a motivational speech to her tribe]:
I see the way your people look at you with tears in their eyes,
Soon they’ll start to have some hope in their lives.
Well I won't let you tempt them,
They are mine to deflect.
No use reminding them of what they lost.
[Hannah grits her teeth as a little golden Neverland appears, clenching her fist so that it crumbles out of her sight]:
You don't seem to quite understand what is at stake…
This messed up little world that I had to break…
If I could give you back your home you know that would,
But it will do more harm than good!
[More golden little miniatures appear that Hannah has to crush with tears in her eyes]:
So why don't you run?

[The Killer Queen gets control of her magic back and makes a little figure of Tulip appear, before transforming it into a donkey and making it run]:
Swear it's nothing personal,
It's just a necessary evil…

[The figure starts to crumble]:
Some would say I'm quick to rage,
But they’ve never seen my life.
Fighting all day and night, just to survive!
Tulip, sweetie, you have picked the wrong girl to fight
[Hannah Hook looks fondly at her crew and the children in it as they play with Harriet, before getting a hardened look in her eye. Remembering what Auradon did to Harry and Cj, and their friends]:
I will protect what is mine…
[Tulip is planning a strategy of attack with Pin and Princess Eleanor of Llyr, who’s kingdom has just joined the fight]:
A nasty little ass that must be killed and put down,
Starting revolutions inside my kingdom is just not allowed!
If ending errant rebellions is what I must do…
Then, sugar I'll be coming for you!
[Lampwick is trying to talk Tulip out of doing this, scared she might get hurt or worse killed]:
So why don't you Run?

[Tulip gives her dad, Lampwick, one last hug before setting out to purposefully get herself captured by Hannah’s Crew in hopes that Princess Eleanor and her tribe will be able to ambush Hannah while she’s busy trying to kill her]:
Swear it's nothing personal..
It's just a necessary evil!
Why don't you…RUN?!
(Ruuuuuuuuun).
Ruuuuun, little donkey girl, RUN!
(Why don't you run?)
[Tulip is captured, by Hannah , tied up and taken to a secluded place where the pirate girl can drown her]:

Oh…
(Run.)
Oh…
Why don't you run?!
[Tulip tries to Talk Hannah Down from drowning her, telling her that she can be the bigger person etc etc.
But the other teen just shakes her head, eyes lifeless]:Run, little donkey, run.
Or did it slip your mind?
You need three things to survive.
Let's see you try when I triple up mine…
[Hannah's hands start glowing and a wave appears out of the fountain, overshadowing both of them]:
Why don't you Run?!
Run, little Donkey girl , run!
I'm gonna drown your ass,
Cut your air.
Honey you won't...
Even care!
Now that you're having fun…
Why don't you...
Run?!
[Princess Eleanor sneakily sneaks up behind Hannah and stabs her in the back but not the heart while she’s distracted, but doesn’t doesn’t kill her, showing mercy to Hannah Like Tulip suggested.
A mistake.
Hannah flings her hand back—eyes glowing black with fury—sending Eleanor flying out the nearest window. Sending members of Tulip’s tribe flying back as they try to apprehend her. Calling in her crew, who throw them out of the castle. Mostly unharmed.
Eleanor can be seen lying on the ground: heavily injured—wings broken—but not dead. One of the few near casualties of this fight.
Tulip gives Hannah a stoic but also heartbroken look as she helps an injured Eleanor up .
All while Hannah Hook holds one of the toddlers of her crew, coldly staring down at them: all while the oblivious toddler waves goodbye to them].

Anyone find the donkey scene from Pinocchio terrifying? I was watching the 1940 and 2022 version and I think the most recent version manages to be more scary. I think it’s the fact that they used an actual child actor and you’re only hearing a kids voice yelling out for their mom only to turn into a donkey and never speak again. The acting in the 2022 movie isn’t that great but whoever did Lampwick did a really great job. That was spooky. But yeah what do you guys think? Did you find the 1940 version or 2022 version more creepy?
