Just remembered this old YuGiOh AU idea I had where Pegasus when he gets the eye gets some of the old users thoughts/memories (Aka Seth’s asshole dad) and just the spirit passing on the thought Hey...so I fucked up please make sure my kid doesn’t have things fucked up again.

Just Pegasus ending up adopting Seto and Mokuba. Them having a good but still kinda evil dad.

Seto still developing the hologram technologies but Pegasus not start a coop or anything they’re just made my Industrial illusions. Him still going to Domino high school because otherwise it’s home-schooling on the island.

Him meeting Yugi and others and because he’s grown up knowing fully about Millennium items and magic and so it’s not ‘You are all idiots for believing in magic’ it’s ‘‘You are all idiots of course this is magic is no-one noticing Yugi is literally possessed right now?’

Him having to explain everything he knows to Yugi and helping out... it being super awkward when Pegasus steals Yugi’s grandpa’s soul cause Seto’s there to

Seto: ‘DAD?’

Pegeasus: ‘Oh...oh these are your friends...well this is...not ideal’

Yugi: ‘YOUR DAD IS PEGEAUS?’

Him going with the group to the island and totally duelling with them, though there being a lot less issues with the guards or getting places cause that’s their bosses kid and they’ve known him for years

Guard: ‘YES YOU WILL NEVER REACH THE CASTLE’

Seto: ‘...I literally live there’

Guard: ‘...I know....sorry sir’

It’s just awkward for everyone.

Violetshipping addition, all the guards catch on very quickly to the mutual pining/deep denial between Seto and Jou, they’ve known the kid his whole life and the tension/banter is super obvious.

Which leads to Jou getting the most awkward shovel talk of all time from the guards/ Pegasus...like the meal when they get to the castle just becomes the shovel talk for Jou, who is confused Seto is ready send himself to the shadow realm, Yugi has no idea what’s going on and Mai is finding this hilarious. He just flat out tells him if he hurts him he’s stealing his soul…Bandit Keith is just there no idea what they’re talking about.

Pegasus: Don’t worry it’s only for a bit I’ll put them back eventually

Bonus: Mokuba’s just chilling in the castle this whole time with no real idea about the evil plans or soul stealing he finds out at the ending duels, Pegasus made sure not to tell him cause the puppy dog eyes may have derailed the evil plans.

tips and tricks on writing the kaibacorp environment

yes, this is pedantic. but more than that, YES i love small background details that lend a greater sense of accuracy and structure to a fictional world. this is not a complete or exhaustive list. (you are, of course, free to ignore and do whatever you want.)

Kaiba Corporation does not have "clients" - Kaiba doesn't do project work for hire; he's not an attorney or a consultant or an architect, he doesn't do billable hours. his meetings are most likely with his investors or business partners like Pegasus, with his board or c-suite executives (e.g., his chief technology officer, his chief legal officer, his chief human resources officer, etc.), various departmental meetings he might find interesting, and so on. Kaiba Corporation does have customers (the people who BUY the duel disk)/consumers (the people who USE the duel disk) but people who go to Kaiba Land will probably be referred to as visitors or guests. his primary responsibility, as the CEO of a publicly-traded corporation, is creating (financial) value for his shareholders and investors. (whether or not he gives a fuck about this responsibility is up to you.) .

Unless it's something he is responsible for, like quarterly earnings calls and shareholder calls, Kaiba doesn't have to finish or work on reports; he has very few deadlines he himself has to meet; he is not reviewing anything except the most important documents. Even then, as the CEO/president, someone is probably writing the most important documents FOR him and then handing it over for him to present or read off later - which he might revise/adjust as he likes. Kaiba's workdays most likely consist mainly of meetings where people report on how things are going to him, setting business strategy with the c-suite, meeting with the more heavy-hitting investors (for the drama: 'we will withdraw our investments unless you do X,') and writing a bajillion emails. .

Kaiba and Mokuba do not do any hiring or interviewing except for c-suite positions, because those are the people they work with most directly every day, and the people they most need to know are capable, qualified, and competent. they are way too busy to sit down with each one of the 38783 entry-level candidates Kaiba Corp combs through every day. for positions like their executive assistants or chief of staff, who might manage day-to-day schedules and do things like order lunch, an HR manager narrows the field to several qualified candidates and THEN Kaiba would make the final decision on who he wants to hire. .

No one is getting past the front desk at a place like Kaiba Corp without an appointment or a badge. Any given visitor X has to check in at the front desk - the front desk receptionist will look them up in the appointment register, give them a badge, and then let them through. For the c-suite level, or anywhere Kaiba takes his most important/official meetings (like his own office), there might be a second lobby/second desk controlling access. .

Some important dates on Kaiba's and Mokuba's calendars, when the pressure is on and they might be working much harder than usual (for the stress and the drama): - end of quarter/EOQ (4x a year) - end of fiscal year/EOFY. may not be aligned with calendar year - for example, the end of fiscal year might be march 30 - quarterly earnings call (4x a year) - yearly earnings call. Kaiba himself, or someone very high up, like a c-suite exec or a VP, will lead these calls - for things like duel disks, the months leading up to the holiday retail season (when they're preparing for greater demand on consumer product goods) and the holiday retail season itself - for things like Kaiba Land, the summer vacation season, but largely dependent on where their parks ARE (southern california when the weather is nice year-round? tokyo when you have colder weather in the winter and slightly lower attendance? etc.) .

VERY IMPORTANT: Kaiba has an office minifridge. imagine whatever you want in here. his executive assistants or office managers will keep this well-stocked. .

Kaiba, or Mokuba, might lead the quarterly "all-hands meeting" - which is an internal meeting for all employees. for a place like kaibacorp, which KT said has ~2,000 employees, this might be held in a large hall/auditorium. things that might happen at the all-hands meeting: hiring updates (we hired 300 new people in the EMEA region), new mission statements, reiteration of core company values, sharing the company's progress on various OKRs/objectives & key results or key targets (duel disk 2.0 released this year to great acclaim and we made 34.5 billion dollars! suck it nintendo!), public (and potentially anonymous) question-and-answer session at the end, where Kaiba or Mokuba might field employee questions. .

Kaiba or Mokuba might also be responsible for a weekly or monthly all-staff email keeping the entire company apprised of announcements, new partnerships, new business ventures, progress on whatever, new investments, etc. again, someone else (like a marketing manager) might write this for them and send it over for their review/adjustments, but the email officially comes from them. i personally like to imagine Kaiba writes some absolutely bonkers staff emails

Is it true that in the manga joey died for real and didn't come back. But in the anime it did. So the dsod follow the manga or the anime? Because also in the manga pegasus died but in the anime they made him alive still I think in the dsod pegasus is dead. So how joey survived? Don't get me long I love this character. And supplementary question: what is your favorite ship ranked in ygo and why?

In order:

1. Joey does come back in both adaptations. The anime adds a more realistic medical detail: his vital signs are resuscitated by an emergency medical staff member in the Battle Ship. He goes through a brief period of coma until the near end of the semifinal match between Atem and Kaiba. This detail is what the original manga misses out. The manga just shrugs and goes "Nah don't sweat it Joey is dead for now but he's a true Duelist physically and mentally strong enough to revive himself" ;-D

2. I'm a total sucker for prideshipping. The pairing has been my number one since around the release of the DSOD. Even before that, I had thought the ship dynamics were quite valid. The ship was my second to third favorite when I first stepped into this fandom. After all, nearly every anime fandom pairs archrivals with each other X-p Not just that; by clashing with each other, Atem and Kaiba help each other grow as Duelists and as human beings. These dynamics are even more reinforced by so many "fan service scenes" featured in the original anime arcs. And then 12 years later, the DSOD comes out. No further explanation needed. We all know how it goes :))))))))

Mumbleshipping Musings:

The attention to detail on their passion projects is another thing that I think brings not just the Minorshipping boys together, but the Mumbleshipping boys as well (Duke x Ryou x Kaiba).

Duke didn't just create a tabletop fangame for his favorite thing; he went out of his way to mod one of Kaiba's duel arenas to be compatible with DDM before Pegasus had even put final approval on the game. Boy was so excited that he had to do it himself! (post dedicated to the ddm arena coming soon)

Kaiba took the game that gave him hope during an abusive adolescence and didn't just create technology to enhance the experience; he created groundbreaking holographic technology that could have been used for so many things, but he chose to use it for a card game, and in doing so, he didn't just establish his own legacy, but launched an already popular game, his favorite game, into Nintendo levels of success.

Ryou built his diorama table, moving parts and all, on his own (maybe not confirmed canon, but seems like the logical conclusion with how customized it is). He crafts all of his miniatures by hand, constructs campaigns and NPCs and worldbuilding lore. He's got a dedicated room to Monster World in his lonely little apartment. It's his passion.

Duke's got Dungeon Dice Monsters, Ryou's got Monster World, and Kaiba's got Duel Monsters. Put these three boys in a room and tell them to talk about games, and trust me, you won't be seeing them again for hours. They will lose track of time and forget what food is because they are too into their discussion. They connect with each other on an intellectual level in a way that I don't think most characters can connect to Kaiba. (Pegasus is a different story, and I've got a separate post about him coming up.)

PLATONIC REQUEST. Yu-Gi-Oh DM, few years after it finishes. Scenario, or one-shot fic, your choice! Female reader and Kaiba have become great friends after working together for 1-2 years. (Mokuba secretly helped this happen.) Reader calls him Kaiba. Don't make Kaiba too "nice," he's a bit difficult even with his friends. Reader and Kaiba have a bunch of same interests and dramatic personalities, trust each other. But now they're in way over their heads in a dangerous situation, and they know it!

Author Note: Sorry this is so late! Had a bit going on. I hope I fulfilled this request.

Seto Kaiba x Reader Platonic Scenario

Many years would pass for Kaiba since his teens and in his early twenties he found himself working with his best friends. There was his younger brother and then you. You didn’t always start off as Kaiba’s bestie. In the beginning you were nothing more than his employee. It was your friendship with Mokuba that cemented your own relationship with Kaiba. Though platonic it still came with perks. The Kaiba boys would bring you foods and drinks when arriving to Kaiba Corp. For holidays and birthdays you received the most expensive gifts. In turn you were the true friend they always needed in their lives.

You’ve been friends with Kaiba due to your similar interests and hobbies. Today you brought your deck to show off to Kaiba. You’re hoping to duel him after work if he wasn’t too busy. You’re sure his schedule would allow him seeing as he adores dueling.

Upon entering his office you’re faced with his grouchy expression and dark circles underneath his blue eyes. Your mouth is agap knowing why he would have such an expression. He most likely had a double and hasn’t had his morning coffee.

“I know that look. Missing your coffee Kaiba boy?”

Kaiba huffs at the nickname, knowing how much he loathes Pegasus. He also knows you’re trying to get a reaction out of him. He yawns before standing from his desk.

“You have coffee or what?” He finally asked.

“Yeah black like your heart.”

He laughs before grabbing the white mug from your hand. He gives you a rare grin before sipping his steamy beverage. You know it was out of gratitude.

“You being in here means one thing.”

“That’s right, Kaiba! I’m here to challenge you to a duel! I’m sure I can beat your blue eyes this time!”

“Ha! Guess we’ll see. I accept your challenge. After lunch, got it?”

You nod, eager to duel your friend. Many liked witnessing your duels since Kaiba actually respected you. It would be a friendly duel with jokes and joy. A scene not many saw from the infamous duelist. He still takes his dueling career as seriously as he did in his teens. Now he isn’t as much of a hard ass or sore loser about it. Another defining detail of such a duel is your dramatic side.

For you dueling Kaiba is always fun. He’s always amused during duels and genuinely enjoys them. Your jokes always get him chuckling. Many times he’s commending you when the duel ends in a draw. You have yet to beat him but you do hope to one day. Kaiba always mentions how he wouldn’t allow it since you’d receive bragging rights. Something you make fun of him half heartedly for.

You’re sure he wants to duel after lunch since he’s tired and wants a bit of a break from work. He must be busy with his construction for a school he hopes to open. All he has mentioned is it would be a school for dueling. You’re not sure if he’s serious or not since he’s always sounding sarcastic. He said it would be many years before the school would be open. You're unsure what to think of it.

Later on while you both dueled each other, you both ended up at the front of Kaiba corp. While the sun was going down you two got done with your duel. You lost but it was a close duel having even Kaiba on his toes. Afterwards you both noticed a stranger nearby. Behind you to be more precise.

"Who the hell are you?" Kaiba questioned with annoyance.

The stranger said not a word as he brought out a knife from their pocket. The tip was pointed at you. You gasp wondering what the intentions of this person could be. Kaiba ran over to you but the stranger commanded him to stop. He made his intentions clear to Kaiba by demanding his wallet. Kaiba scoffed at such a thought since he carries many of his cards on him. His blue eyes look over to you in worry.

"Fine." He grunts with anger radiating from him.

As Kaiba walks over to the stranger while you're frozen with fear. The knife pointed directly toward your neck keeping you in place. Kaiba was already plotting what he would do to the scum threatening his friends life. He held out his leather wallet while you step towards your friend to safety. When you're far away enough Kaiba puts his plan to motion.

Hi long leg extends tripping the stranger off their feet. While they land on their back Seto takes it upon himself to grab his wallet and throw you over his shoulder to run off. He was very quick and sudden you're sure you'd be screaming if you weren't so surprised.

When back inside Kaiba corp he ordered security to get rid of the hooded stranger. It did look comical with him barking orders while you're over his shoulder with a confused expression. He set you down but rolled his eyes.

"Dork, did you really think I'd let him get away with it?"

"No Kaiba sir!" You jokingly said.

"Pft." He raised his brow in amusement. "Where would you be without your boss?" Kaiba made a smug expression.

"Thanks for saving me back there but don’t get too cocky.” You huffed.

“Amusing, you damsel in distress.”

You cuss under your breath before jumping on his back to put him in a headlock. You know he was joking but it was time for one of your iconic Kaiba headlocks.

“You dweeb!!” He tried getting you off his back to no avail.

Lol I think Kaiba hates most people, so him liking people is the statistical anomaly. But I do agree it would be a more targeted hate toward Ainosuke. Just feels like the fact that Ainosuke's a politician would especially rub Kaiba the wrong way. And the Adam persona might remind Kaiba too much of Pegasus for comfort.

So yeah, Kaiba doesn't want to touch Ainosuke with a ten-foot pole. Plus him and his assistant have that weird pet play vibe.

On her left hand she wears a black glove with the Tricore from the IDW comics. She stands with one hand on her hip, looking off to the side with a smirk.

Beside Surge is Kit as Rishid/Odion Ishtar. He is a head shorter than Surge. He wears a floor-length hooded purple robe, black shirt and pants, yellow belts, and yellow, black, and white shoes. He also wears black gauntlets studded with metal. He stands with hands slightly raised, staring straight ahead with a flat expression.

Finally, Blaze as Isis/Ishizu Ishtar stands apart fro the rest, looking off to the side uncomfortably. She wears plain cream robes with a gold belt and pink high heels. She has a golden crown of sorts on her head. Around her neck is a gold necklace with a red Sol Emerald affixed to it. /end ID]

Yu-Gi-Oh!, part the third. Malik!Surge and Rishid!Kit was the best brainwave I've had for this AU, it works so well. I might even use it in reverse for my Sonic/Yu-Gi-Oh! AU, too. though that only works if I keep Yami Yugi as Sonic, which I'm thinking of changing. and I already had a very amusing slot for the Ishtars... hmm, decisions, decisions.

More random thoughts on the Pegasus adopts Seto and Mokuba AU (Link here)

Pegasus already having made the duel monsters game but still being pretty young when he adopts them and normally probably wouldn’t have been allowed to adopt them... but he is super rich and does have magic powers so he’s able to adopt them...though after he does he’s struck with the ‘...Oh fuck I’m a parent now...HOW DO YOU PARENT??’ like he listened to the magic eye in his head but it didn’t read a parenting book.

The fact he has kids now makes people think he’s even older than he is and is always very offended.

After the very very awkward meal in dualist kingdom before the finals, Bandit Keith isn’t able to steal Jou’s card because Pegasus has guards outside Jou’s room in case he tries to sneak out and into his kids room... the others get to go out and search with little interruption all the guards are at Jou’s door.

Bandit Keith does get to duel Jou, Pegasus slips him a card because he wants to test him.

Seto and Jou pining over each other and Pegasus being like ‘HEY KNOCK IT OFF, STOP THINKING THAT’

SONIC X YUGIOH FOR SPOOKY DAY

wake up new crossover just dropped

wwwwwwwwwwwwooooo I fucking love Nikki and Sonc. From the manga.

Nikki is in Yuugi's role. Sonic is in Yami's role.

Other characters include but not limited to:

Amy! My beloved, she borrows from her classic design here. Goes to their highschool, got a fucked up relationship with attention, and a messy relationship with her mom and the concept of beauty. Her mom is the pretty teacher from the tenth episode of Yugioh. Season Zero. She and Nikki have been friends for years. They used to date but then realized they were both aro and went back to being friends, although recently they've been sliding into a sorta qpr. In Anzu's role.

Anton. Yes, he's here. Anton is like a lizard also from the manga. He's a bully who wants to date Amy himself there, but here he's a badnatured punk who always rebels against authority. Anton and Nikki did a group project once, where Nikki dropped a important piece of their assignment so it broke, and then Anton got them in trouble by arguing with their teacher. Now Anton thinks Nikki did it on purpose cuz he's a goody two shoes who doesn't like Anton, and Anton wants him to toughen up and confront people directly. Nikki fundamentally doesn't get Anton and how he works and is scared of him, and they dislike each other as a result. To be clear, Anton is still in the wrong here, but it's not out and out bullying like in the anime. Anton's just looming ominously and at worst pushing Nikki back a few steps. Anton is in the role of Jonouchi/Joey Wheeler.

Metal! Trans metal trans metal. send post. She's a transfer student who got here last month. Metal is in the combined roles of Honda and Miho. She looks up to the school administration and student patrol and is considering trying to find her place there. It is important to me that you know she wears big poofy dresses and bows. When her classmates picture her, it's her standing in a corner staring at everybody (with her autistic murderous eyes). She looks less like Sonic design wise than og Metal Sonic. She considers herself a Robot Hedgehog but not a hedgehog. She like stares ominously at Anton when he's hassling Nikki and maybe puts a hand in front of him to stop him, but doesn't otherwise intervene because she's mostly doing it on principle.

Maria and Shadow are fine! Maria was raised underground w/ Shadow and took over the company when Gerald got shot. They take Kaiba and his brothers place. Maria cut ties with the military and rebranded as entertainment. She built a theme park that's like the only place she can be safely. She always sits in sunlight. Shadow is Maria's little brother and he's completely devoted to her to the point of signing away his autonomy, but Maria wants to give him the world and would never dare to take away his free will like that because it's like her strongest belief. She's trying to push Shadow to more stuff on his own without her. Sonic knows about the irony of playing Shadow Games with Shadow and respects him. He goes "from one shadow to another, huh? Yeah. I get it." They have the millenium rod. Maria would never use it on Shadow but Gerald used it on both of them. Maria uses it on other people and tries to keep that knowledge from Shadow but he knows more than she'd like. Shadow is the one who actually duels. Too risky for Maria, considering all the things that could go wrong, and Shadow was literally built for this kind of thing, but she stills hates it. That's her specialest little guy he should be safe at all times :( Eggman takes the place of Pegasus. He wields the millenium eye (a single eye is a small price to pay for power) and believes strongly in the ideals of intellect and the human mind over nature. He was actually born after Maria, but when he was younger he accidentally threw himself into the Duel Monsters Dimension where time passes quicker. He was missing for like a year and declared dead. When he came back out as an adult he assumed a new identity, and with the instructions for how to summon duel monsters as well as a map to the eye in hand, started up this whole Duel Monsters card game business. He's rich now and able to work on his own projects, but he's stuck managing his monster empire and forced to be reclusive to avoid people looking too closely at his past. He heard of Maria when she built the theme park and was like, "Darn, I can't believe she got there first. Also, it feels strange that I'm older than here now. Back to villainy." He wants to collect the other millenium items to remove the limitations on his power and conquer the earth. Knuckles :) I like him. He takes the role of the Ishtar family. Idk too much about them to be honest, but the scale and guardianship of a sacred duty suits him perfectly. Ok ok. It's time to talk about the reason I came up with this in the first place.

*snapcube dub voice* Nikki the Hedgehog is a character from the Sonic Manga. He's my funny little guy! He's an anxious kid who wishes he were brave and isn't amazing at anything. But his big deal is that whenever him or his friends are in trouble, he transforms into Sonic. Sonic then effortlessly takes care of the issue and turns back into Nikki. Nikki is not aware of this, and he doesn't remember any of it. Here things are a little different.

Nikki is a highschool student who loves reading quietly and playing instruments and solving puzzles. He's friends with Amy, but his other attempts at making friends have always failed and he's kind of lonely. The puzzle he dug up from the corners of his Uncle Chuck's diner has been with him for years and gives him a sense of purpose. He often digs it out and fiddles with the pieces to calm his mind.

One day, he brings it to school with him like he usually does. It's after class has ended for the day, so it's just him, Anton, and the transfer student. He's working on the puzzle while waiting for Amy to meet up with him, when Anton tells him it's a waste of time. This is one of the few things Nikki will even try to stand up to him over (he often wishes he were braver) and they get in an argument. The transfer student walks into the hallway and flags down a teacher, who reprimands them for arguing and threatens them with detention for Anton not adhering to the dress code and Nikki for having a personal item (schools been cracking down on them lately) that distracts other students because it's made of wait, is that gold? Amy arrives and gets the teachers attention by telling him there's a bake sale around the corner and the other staff are hanging out there. The teacher lets them off with a warning and heads out. Anton is annoyed with Metal tattling to the teacher (THAT was her name!) and Metal makes angry beeps back. Amy's mad at Anton for arguing with Yugi in the first place. (basically it's about how they relate to authority and the rules. Nikki never challenges it, Anton always challenges it even when it would be unwise, Metal follows it and believes it to good, Amy works within it. Sonic's whole deal is he challenges it and knows how to get away with it. Having magical power and experience certainly doesn't hurt though.) Some stuff happens, the teacher catches up with them to punish them for before because he wants the puzzle (it looks like it's made of gold and he can sell it.) Anton picks Nikki up and runs away, and tells him that he's responsible for this and he needs to fix it. He adds that it's a good opportunity to learn all rules are bullshit. Nikki goes home and works on the puzzle, mind racing. He needs to have a solution by the time he sees the teacher again. But while he makes progress on the puzzle, enough finish it except for a missing piece (he must have dropped it when Anton picked him up), he only resolves to Do Something. Metal finds the piece and plans to give it back to Nikki. He calls Amy and Anton and asks them to meet him at the school.

Metal is heading to Nikki's desk to drop off the puzzle piece there when she sees three people outside the window... and a looming shadow converging on them. She hops out the window. It's time. The teacher (we'll call him Haruo) is not playing around anymore. He has a fucking knife. Anton fights, receiving cuts to his arms. Metal tries to block Haruo from attacking, but can't bring herself to strike a teacher she respected, especially when the law wouldn't take her side (she's a robot) (plus she still thinks this could be de-escalated). Amy tries to do the reasonable thing and call the police and her mom, but the police are useless and her mom is out of town. Nikki says he'll hand over the puzzle, stopping the fight. Metal presses the last piece into his hands as he walks by her. Nikki stands in front of Haruo, and asks for a few seconds to finish solving it. Haruo denies it, and advances towards Nikki, hands already reaching out, but... Does Nikki...

Really, truly, want to comply with people like Haruo his whole life? Nikki places the last piece. The world turns to golden light. It's Sonic! Everybody clap and cheer for joy. The activation brought him and his focus (Haruo) to a strange distorted version of the school grounds. He may not know much, not even his own name, but he knows that it's time to play a game and he's going to win. So. Neat things about Sonic. Nikki's quills are a light blue, he wears glasses, and he has bangs. Sonic's quills are Adventure dark blue, he does not wear glasses, and he has the Eye of Horus on his forehead. His quills shift from Nikki's color to his like it's just the light that changed, or like they've always been they color but you just didn't notice. The eye of Horus glows when he feels strong negative emotion. Fun fact! Nikki wished for a friend so he wouldn't be lonely, and he wished to be brave and strong to protect people. Sonic is both of those things. Also Sonic here is sooo fun. He's doesn't remember how to play the card game so he's just making it up as he goes. He wins his first Shadow Game by taunting Haruo until Haruo broke the rules. He got his name by boasting he'd beat his opponent (different game) faster than the speed of sound. He's a hero because he breaks the rules to protect people and is always looking for a better way to do things. Sonic at first thinks nothing weird is going on and that blipping in and out of existence with half remembered context is normal. He's like, "Yeah, so these are my friends, I'm playing a card game, and my name is *squints at smudged writing on the back of hand* Nicholas." He gradually figures out that someone else is doing stuff in between those periods while he's aware, and that he's tied to the weird bling around not-his neck, and that neither the person he's possessing or his friends have any idea. Also a lot of this is strangely familiar..... (Nikki has some idea. Nikki says good night to the puzzle and tucks it in every night. Nikki thinks that whatever is happening when there's danger is a good thing that should continue without any input necessary from him. He's like "None of my business! :)" Even though it totally is.) (This doesn't continue for too long, maybe half a season at most in show terms? He does get curios and start wondering what exactly is up.)

Tails! He's the little guy. So teeny. But haha wrong, this Tails wears sunglasses and calls people "wussys" for eating mushrooms! He's primarily Sonic's friend and meets him first- wait wait. it's important that you also know Tails has a motorcyle. or a car? all of this is canon to the manga btw. okay continue. -and thinks Sonic is really cool. He's the first person Sonic can really confide in about his situation, and he does so after Tails is like: so... why are you so different when you're not on stage? and Sonic is forced to go "Very simple, that is actually not me. Easy mistake to make." Tails is a fellow tournament duelist and spends some time playing duels with Sonic, and they both improve off each other. Sonic is glad that he can look into the stands and find someone cheering for him, and Tails is glad to have a cool older duelist who doesn't look down on him and who respects his skill. Btw, Sonic's doing that fucky Yami/Yugi thing where Yami assumes Yugi's name and friendships for his own. They keep hanging out. (Sonic introduces him to the rest of the group, and Tails, the wanderer- ohh my god, galaxy brain moment. In canon, Sonic is the nomad who can't stay in one place, while Tails will always be tied to his labs and his tech and Sonic/the Tornado. In this au, Tails is the cool guy wandering from tournament to tournament, while Sonic is literally and metaphysically tied to Nikki, his friends, and the puzzle. They swapped places.- anyways yeah Tails likes having people to show off for and crash with. The importance of a place that's always safe cannot be overstated.) Tails and Sonic can really let their guard down around the other, and when they call each other brother for the first time they explode the labyrinth they were trapped in.

Okay what other items are there. Uhh. Puzzle, eye, rod, scales, ring, key, and necklace.

Tikal gets the key. She's just chilling with knuckles don't worry about the timeline. Rogue gets the ring because its abilities are perfect for a fortune seeker like her. (Wait does this mean Rogue is gonna get possesed?! NOOO)

Silver and Blaze share the duties of the necklace. I was literally sitting here trying to think of a fortune teller in all of Sonic when I was hit over the head by SILVER YOU DOOFUS

Right so I think that's everybody. Omega will show up in due time- probably with guns blazing. I honestly don't know much about the plot of Yugioh, because I just started watching season 0 of the anime. Yes I've read rewrite fics but there's a lot of stuff in the anime you guys did not fucking tell me about. I like Miho :) I think the teacher from the 10th episode is a jerk who I would not like in real life, but I'm looking at the writers skeptically because it's not a crime to be a beautiful woman and if I were in a similar situation I also would have gotten frustrated with how the people around me treated me. I like the show so far it's a lot of fun. Yugi is three apples tall. They spent all their animation budget on the shadow game. I liked when the worms killed that man. Happy Halloween everybody! I love Ishizu mostly because of how she treats Kaiba. She's so snarky and straight forward towards him and just from their first interaction we get what her personality is all about. A no nonsense woman that is still caring, but just wants to get things done in an efficient way / the way the necklace gave her.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

How on her duel with Kaiba, she primarily uses graveyard effects (that honestly weren't the best, but because things were still getting figured out I'll give it a pass.) with very few monsters and she still almost cooks him. Do you know how bad Ishizu cards used to be? They weren't the best at all! That duel is honestly one of my favorites, I hate Blue Eyes players.

She never interacted with Yami Bakura

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

Puss and Boots. Only as an ally for him though.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Double Lariat by Agoaniki (I think???). It just sounds Ishizu core.

6. What's something you have in common with this character?

We both have two brothers. A big one and a little one.

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I love for and breathe in Mom-shizu

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

I don't like how some people make her either really dismissive of Marik's problems, really over invested in his problems, or over sexualize her.

The first two are a problem because Ishizu has been shown to give Marik the space he needs to think, and distancing yourself from a frankly abusive person is a pretty normal thing to do. She never abandoned Marik, she still loves him. She just gives him when needed.

I don't even have to explain why I hate the last thing.

Yes.

No. Most likely loose acquaintances.

Yes.

I've already said this, but I love the idea of her seeing Yami Bakura's backstory and feeling so bad for him.

I don't like Mai x Ishizu. They just don't have personalities that blend well enough for me to ship them.

Ishizu x Pegasus. It's alright. I just don't like it.

Ishizu's interactions with Téa are some of the sweetest ever. Téa is always so worried about Yami and Ishizu is there to comfort her 🥺. It's so cute.

There is none.

Mai. I may not like them shipped together, but boy oh boy do I think they'd be great friends.

I like when she's shipped with Yami Bakura. I have only read one bad fic of them.

I don't like when she's dismissive or over involved with Marik.

Honestly, a lot of how I characterize Ishizu has inspiration from Clawdeen Wolf. But only when it comes to how they treat she friends and family.

When I first saw Ishizu: ooooo pretty lady <3

Now: oh she has a deep backstory and is an interesting character… cool <3

Using this as an opportunity to talk about museumshipping.

Since Yami Bakura and Ishizu have different diets (Ishizu doesn't eat meat, Yami Bakura does), she does most of the cooking. Bakura, however, hates this. So they came to an agreement that Bakura will learn how to cook more than just eggs, and Ishizu will expand her diet to include eggs.
