this is so niche, but i honestly think footballers would have less muscle injuries if they were more flexible, im talking like can-do-a-split flexible. i know they stretch, but it is for recovery more than flexibility, so their muscles are super tense with minimal range of motion. obviously i don’t know anyone’s exact workout regimen, but just in general flexibility (especially in the back of the legs, like hamstrings and calves as well as the hip flexors) is super underrated in most ball sports.

in hockey there are a lot less muscle injuries. this is for many reasons, obviously, like they wear pads so muscles aren’t exposed to direct injury, and the position of your legs is different so strains are usually for the groin in hockey, but stretching is part of it. flexibility is such an important preventative measure for injury, i wish it was valued more.

compare a hockey to a footie keeper:

you can see in the first pic, our boy shesterkin isn’t even making a save he is just hanging out in the splits because he has the range of motion that allows it. our footie keeper, however, is in a half split and his leg muscles look like they are being pulled apart, it’s obviously not comfortable and if he wasn’t making a save, he wouldn’t hang out in that position.

tldr: footie boys should become more flexible to prevent injury, reduce muscle strain, and help with recovery! everyone should really, but pro athletes especially. and i love my weirdo hyper flexible hockey tendies 🫶🫶

"Separating the art from the artist" and "death of the author" does not mean what most people think it means, and i am so sick of people using this as an excuse for an artists horrible behaviour. Yes, i am looking at you, J.K Rowling and Till Lindemann (and so many more.)

"Death of the author" is a LITERARY THEORY that argues that the meaning of a piece of art is determined by the readers interpretation, not the authors intention. It is a TOOL used by LITERARY STUDIES to determine the meaning of a piece of art.

It is not a good argument in an everyday discussion about problematic authors. And it is certainly not an excuse for people to keep supporting artists (and art!) that are queerphobic, transphobic, anti-feminisitc, antisemitic and misogynistic.

And no, "separation of artist and art" is not a reason to ignore the problematic views of the author that are INHERENTLY INCOPORATED in the art.

DO NOT EVER use "death of the author" or "separate art from artist" as an excuse. It is not.

Currently obsessed with the idea of having a community hog roommate. A big bottomless pit of a boy just lazing around the house.

Whenever me or any of our other roommates have leftover takeout, want to try a new recipe, or took some extra donuts home from work, he'll be there ready to greedily devour it. We might even start buying snacks to feed to him just for fun.

The best part is casually grabbing a roll of fat as we pass him in the hall or jiggling his belly after bringing him some delivery. He loves getting belly rubs after a big meal when we cuddle up with him on the couch in the evening. The perfect end to his day of gorging, gaming, and growing.

Jim likes to pick up Spock after work at the Embassy. Sometimes, they drop by the store on their way home and get some wine for the evening. Jim is always so excited to finally see Spock after a long day of work, that he blabs the whole way home, while Spock silently listens, responding with occasional "hms" and "indeeds". Spock will never admit it but walking home from work with Jim is his favourite part of the day.

High school AU

so summary: essentially after ‘Heartbeat’, N and Uzi don’t split up in the end and after recovering from the shock N suggests to Uzi to take him to school with her- so she begrudgingly agrees. V is also here too, although heavily monitored, and usually chills in Uzi’s place instead of going with them quote ‘It’s stupid’. Basically a lot of shenanigans ensue. We still got the casual school bullies, homework, tests, etc…although Uzi now has a big murder machine with her😈. We also got the golden retriever boy and goth emo girl in love (but they don’t know that), tons of fluff cause fuck you I do what I want. N and V sleep in there own respective small rooms next to the main house cause I love making stuff up for plot convenience. Khan is here too, although still not a great dad- YET, he’s trying his best ok. There’s definitely tension between the two considering what he did to Uzi and N is also pretty awkward with him because well- he literally tried to kill both him and his daughter erm BUT HE SAVED HER TOO SO IT CANCELS OUT. There’s some character growth mostly between N and Khan due to Uzi still being very closed off from him, for good reason-

anyways yeah that’s it, if you wanna ask questions about it feel free to, probably won’t post about it myself much but yeah this is literally just for personal joy. Might expand on it a little more later on but yeah

no bc i really don't trust people who genuinely think saiki hates his friends. like i get it, saiki does wanna be alone most times. but did they miss the eps where saiki kept an eye on his friends even when they weren't together and helped them?? i mean i could name numerous cases where he puts his friends above all else. i thought we all knew saiki is an unreliable narrator?? 😭 plus his mother did Not raise him like that

hope you guys realize that aroace is a spectrum and aroace ppl can be in relationships

and that saiki himself is an incredibly unreliable narrator who contradicts himself almost every episode

and that just bc he states disinterest in relationships doesn’t mean it’s impossible for him to be in one, bc the guy has been staying disinterest in friendships since day one and look where we are now

I don't ship anybody with Saiki but ''Saiki is aroace therefore he can't be shipped🙄'' is a terrible argument, I think Teruhashi x Saiki isn't the best ship, but other Saiki ships (with the other person being the same age of course) are harmless.

Even though I headcanon Saiki as aroace, is isn't properly 100% confirmed, so it's dumb for people to say ''It's canon🤡'' when it technically isn't.
