Listen I know a.) there is no such thing as the Jericho fandom and b.) some people might say not everything has to be gay (which they would be wrong) but in episode 14, when Stanley and Jake are freezing to death; the series that scene would have worked a thousand times better if there was a love proclamation from Stanley, Jake says he left all those years ago because he was repressing his feelings, and they cuddled to share body heat

You know what I like but question about to myself re CBS’ Jericho is that it both got and was ahead of it’s studio awareness re the abuse of that war and America versus business and it’s government in bed with business. It leaned into community and togetherness and care for survival, while not villainizing the people of before or after or outside, only in terms of if you were part of the plan to harm. Jake and town were against New Bern, and Constantino, because they planned and incited harm as a first defense, that was the most unforgivable. But they weren’t the main bad, like Ravenwood, who harmed first and for profit alone.

But like this show is both ultra in line with no ra ra patriotism, with you need community and science and smarts, where the black guy is mastermind and best badass...so liberal yay...AND same time ultra conservative guns great blazing, self defense needed, anti big gov, small town value of we form a wagon circle and sometimes that means fuck outsiders.

I love that it appeals to both ends. That nowadays and then there was such a divide, and Jericho was like these identity and defined two sides...NOPE, not in our show. It’s makes it so simple. Almost too simple but it’s what makes it heartfelt for me. That no one watching has to feel like they are gonna be the outsider or the bad guy, or the group to fight against. That the show relied on if you care about your family, and others, if you are just trying to survive and help, you aren’t the bad. Very important, come together. Do something. We fight to live.

Again the show was smarter, smart enough to say your enemy is not who you are pitted against, but those with the power using it as a means to make you conflict instead of using it for solutions.

And in that sense her series ending towards civil war was genius. War being a tool, for conflict in violence incited outright or the change through conflict. A nuke is genius. A tool for the powered, conflict and destruction, or for energy and production.

i like to think there are true crime episodes in the world of supernatural that are just dedicated to dean winchester

because like okay

he gets arrested in jericho california one/two days after halloween in 2005 and escapes custody before they really charge him for anything then he disappears

then a few months later in december of 2005 he shows up in st louis where hes pinned for the murders of two women and then the attempted murder of another, BUT hes found dead in this same womans house and then theres nothing about him for months

THEN in 2006 he gets arrested in baltimore and is charged for trespassing, grave robbery, grave desecration, murder, impersonation, identity theft etc etc and also arrested at this time is his younger brother sam who isnt charged with anything (as a side note here his brother went to stanford and was studying law, he was on track to be a lawyer a year before this) then overnight while an officer is transferring dean to st louis he escapes and that same officer is found dead on the scene by his partner - around this time sam also escapes custody

and so then they disappear for a while and later he shows up again, in milwaukee where a bank heist is going down and hes supposedly held hostage, then after the original perpetrator of the heist is shot and killed dean takes over running the heist, at that point fbi is called in and they storm the building, they find three or so dead bodies and no dean or sam and find the two escaped by impersonating people in the fbi’s swat team and dumping them in a closet having taken their clothes to blend in and get out of the building

and so they disappear again for a while until a few months later they get arrested again and are actually convicted and sent to folsom prison. they spend definitely under a week in this prison and then escape and once more disappear

then in 2008 theyre arrested again in monument colorado and its planned that theyre to be transferred to a maximum security prison in nevada but before they can be transported they supposedly die when the helicopter thats supposed to transport them explodes, a day later though the sheriffs office where they were kept is destroyed and everyone in it dies

AND THEN. there is dead silence on them for YEARS. they become myth after this, some super weird criminals who go down in infamy in online forums and chatrooms and dean winchester is known as the guy who can never stay dead.

and then. dean and sam get arrested again. a decade later. yeah theyre alive still. who wouldve guessed. what are they arrested for this time? TRYING TO KILL THE PRESIDENT.

because I've been more active on Tumblr than I thought I would be (which is always the way!)

(Who-Am-I Stuff)

I'm Jericho, but feel free to shorten that to Jeri. Born 2006, baby (formatted so I don't have to update this post every year with a new number). Any pronouns are fine by me!

I'm aromantic and asexual (all the way; turned up to 11; the whole 9 yards; etc., etc. No gray/demi here, so far as I know!). Wouldn't normally consider it relevant, but I've posted a fair bit of aroace-related content, so I feel like it's worth mentioning just to be clear!

(What-I-Do Stuff)

I'm not entirely sure what I plan to do with this blog yet (or how long my little streak of activity will last), but for now, I'll probably just post fan art (and likely only fan art, despite self-indulgently drawing my OCs 24/7). Also, reblogs.

(Personally, I don't think I have a consistent art style. You won't catch me using the same brush two weeks in a row! But I hope you like what I make regardless haha)

Hazbin Hotel dragged me into the spotlight very abruptly, but I like other stuff too! Lackadaisy and Spider-Verse in particular. I'm not Hazbin-exclusive! Fab show though.

One of my favorite headcanon is that, every one of Dick's friends really hate Damian. And there are a lot of funny panels that can, in a way, prove that it's canon.

Wally West:

Teen Titans The Lazarus Contract

Damian stopped past version of Wally West's heart to stop his connection to the Speed Force. Which in the end caused the present Wally West to have heart problems.

Roy Harper:

Although their relationship worked out in the end, they really do find each other annoying. And through out the whole issue, it was really entertaining to read their interactions.

After Emiko shoots Slade in the eye and kills him, Jericho gets really pissed at Damian and tries to kill him.

Not really have anything to say about this. He literally calls her a harlot.

So that's where I got my headcanon about all of Dick's friend just hating Damian. And I think we can create really funny prompts and ideas using these panels. But I must say, Damian's interaction with Roy was the funniest. And if I'm right, they do meet up again in Outlaws if you want to read more about it.

Aka Jake Green but especially Hawkins is badass.

The episode where they try to use him as a . hostage against his wife working in the hospital by coming to the house threatening him and he’s all wtf hahaha. Nope. Neck snaps one dude, kidnaps the other at gunpoint, takes him to the hospital doors and uses him as door entry decoy, kills those two guarding that door and strolls in...just chill well so they have 12, well they are down 3 and here’s our own hostage threat. LUV.

Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach - 2006 -Eddie Trunk Show

If you haven't listened to this, and you're a GNR fan - this is great. One of my all-time favorites.

This is where Sebastian tells the story about punching Izzy's brother. And they talk about how they called Howard Stern in 1990 one night out of the blue when they were hanging out at Axl's West Hollywood condo with their wives and a few guy friends there. It was the first time they had seen each other in forever.
