I honestly feel so low, I can't take living here anymore, my family are making things so much worse. I can't remember the last time I showered or washed my hair. I'm fucking up uni. The only reason I haven't relapsed on self harm is because I don't know where I put my razors and I'm struggling to even get out of bed at the moment. And it's not fair on my boyfriend who is trying to help me but I'm throwing it back in his face as he doesn't realize he can't make me feel better. Only getting out of this situation would and I can't. I've been laying in bed all day unable to do anything except scroll on my phone and think. Then at night I can't sleep, it's almost 3am. And then I have my family judging me and making a racket from 7am daily. And I feel so hopeless. Like what's the point going to the gp? I don't want to go back on medication due to the side effects, especially weight gain which I'm already struggling with. And I don't like talking to strangers over phone/video plus get no privacy in my house to talk about how much my family are affecting my mental health, so that rules out therapy or counselling whilst covid about. So there's nothing else they can really do, nothing else my bf can do as we can't afford to get a place together with me a uni student and him part time retail and so there is nothing else I can do. And everytime I try and bring myself up, things drag me down again, it happened like 7 times yesterday alone. So what's the point in trying? I just don't want to be here anymore, I can't cope, I can't do it.

Let's talk about love, marriage, and all of that crap.

What is love? We have this fairytale mindset about love. Music, movies, t.v. shows, books etc etc have told us for hundreds of years this idea of love being this all encompassing connection with 'The one'. Your soulmate. Your other half. When you find that one, it's all butterflies and rainbow kittens and happy good times for ever after, right?

Fucking bullshit.

Love is work. Love is action. Things don't just magically work out because one person is all 'I love you so much'.

The concept of one other person in all the world being all you need, all you want, and all you can ever connect with is also bullshit. It's way too much pressure and expectation. No one should be anyone's else's entire world. It isn't fair to any party involved.

Marriage is a legal contract. That's it. It serves no purpose beyond the government having something else to charge you for. Government has no business in anyone's relationships. Abolish marriage, period. It's awful, archaic, and is just another form of shitty control.

When you get with someone, and layout how hard your life will be, how you will need them to work with you and contribute to the life you both say you want and they agree... but once you put a ring on them for whatever fucked up reason you decide to do it and they suddenly forget what they agreed to. Suddenly, everything is on you and you alone.

To make it even worse, they continue to add to it. Making snide comments left and right about how they want to do this someday, have that someday. Using your guilt over not being able to see your child against you, all because you can't afford to take them somewhere out of the cold weather to spend time together, even though that is literally the only thing you want.

Its like you are always drowning, and the person who is supposed to help save you throws weights on you instead all while insisting they do actually love you.

Love requires actions, not words. You can say the words all you want, but when those words accompany actions that create more difficulties and pain? That's not love. Not even close.

Problems

So my boyfriends mom has accused me of being abusive. And I can't even begin to explain how that makes me feel. Living with an abuser for 13 years (mostly towards my mom) and then getting in to an abusive relationship of my own for 2 years.

Like wow, you just put me in a category of two of the worst people I have ever encountered, thanks a lot.
