LMAO NAW ITS FINE for one thing my hurt wrist is my non-writing/drawing hand so i can still draw/write/use utensils, drawing's just a lot slower without my hotkeys so i figure this is a sign i should take a proper break and rest up. plus i hurt my wrist rollerskating so dont worry i didnt sprain anything from drawing too much

idk but a part of me gets annoyed whenever people compare dr ratio and alhaitham.
like yeah ok... hot buff autistic nerdy men

would alhaitham ask you to give him a 'stimulating quiz' in his free time and then proceed to design a weapon for the express even though he didnt need to? no.

alhaitham is a 'live and let live' kind of guy. he justs wants to chill and have an easy life. like be for real, he's so worried about the akademiya finding out about his true talents and power because he hates the idea of working more. the only reason he's the scribe is because it's easy and it pays well. he's not particularly interested in helping others out unless its beneficial to him or the other really needs it. as kaveh said(i think he did??? idk i dont play genshin anymore), alhaitham is a nihilist
dr ratio on the other hand? he craves being able to fix things. all he wants to do fix things. although yeah he's not gonna do everything for you, he literally said to your face that if somethings bothering you deal with it yourself BUT he did literally go out of his way to scheme that entire thing in his quest to bring the people on the space station to there senses and get them thinking for themselves instead of obsessing over those geniuses. and that whole speech he gave to screwlum after? bro was INVESTED AND INTENSELY PASSIONATE. hes extremely passionate about getting people do use and develop their talents to the best of their ability. hes a fucking doctor who somehow has 52 courses and any of the people who actually make it through all get far in their lives. alhaitham would never put in that effort even with all his talent and ngl dr ratio would hate him for that (maybe not hate but dislike).
Another difference? alhaitham isnt a bitch about what his talents although its easy to assume he is while ratio low key kind of is and since the game itself describes him as 'narcisistic' so i think its pretty safe to assume he acts a bitch and he kind of is one too (cant blame him if i did all he did i would be the same)

-you start asking questions about his toxin, and while he doesnt show it, he really appreciates it. most people dont care about the science behind his work, they just want to weaponize the effects, so its nice to have someone curious about the work hes done
-eventually, he has to go do the "screw with batman and get bodied by croc" thing, so he leaves you behind. and then you dont see him for a long while
-ill be real, i havent played arkham city yet, so we're just gonna skip to arkham knight.
-its just before the attack is launched on gotham, and youre just doing your thing in the city when you get kidnapped. once the sack is finally taken off your head, youre at ace chemicals face-to-face with scarecrow (whos looking a lot worse for wear)
-"ah, there you are. ive finally found you, my little inmate."
-he explains that youve stuck in his mind since that one time you met and he couldnt get you out no matter how hard he tried. he gets fixated on things very easily, you see, and he hasnt been this obsessed with something since he first discovered the wonders of fear. so hes going to keep you secure at his side, whether you like it or not
-if youre ok with this (whether you actually like him or if you just want the safety from all the destruction), hes incredibly doting. whenever hes sitting, youre snuggled up on his lap. whenever he has to go out and leave you, hes got the nicest room he can find in a chemical plant ready for you, with multiple guards keeping you secure. as he works, he talks to you, trying to get all the information he can about you
-if youre not accepting of this arrangement, hes going to be more than a little pissed. you dare deny his protection? why shouldnt he just throw you back out into gotham and let the cloudburst consume you? he wont do that, hes far too invested to let you lose yourself like that, but he might just give you a dose of toxin. and another dose. and another. as many doses as it takes for you to start clinging to him for comfort
-hes not super physically affectionate (mostly bc i headcanon him with chronic pain after the croc incident), but he does love to hold you. seeing you secure in his arms, unable to leave unless he lets you... he loves the feeling of control. as for kisses... he cant do much in that department, since he doesnt really have lips anymore. but occasionally he'll sort of bump his mouth on you, which gets the point across

HI. BIG OVERVIEW OC POST THING. IT'S RAINFOREST FLOODS.
have you ever thought to yourself "hey wouldnt it be cool if there was an oc story made by two guys and it was about a haunted waterpark slash arcade in a fake town in a real state". you probably haven't. but if you have youre in luck! more under the cut ok.
rainforest floods is a terrible no good ocverse made by me and my good friend crawford @dykeseesgod. everyone in it sucks and is horrible except maybe one or two side characters. it's set in the podunk middle of nowhere town of timberline, new mexico, and more specifically a waterpark/arcade called rainforest floods (title drop).
also the waterpark SUUUCKS like its budget is nothing they are in debt. the managers havent paid taxes in 15 years. anyway these are the employees. theyre bad
and these are the co-managers. theyre even worse (and also toxic old man yaoi. these refs were drawn by the aforementioned crawford)
anyway yeah. they get up to wacky hijinks in what will ideally be a tv show coming out in one million years. they're also horrible and tragic. most of it is bruce's fault. some of its not though!
ok also here's some other side characters.
^ running gag that nobody knows her name except kelsey who has a huge crush on her.
^ unnamed girl's younger brother who is constantly faced with horrors and torment at the hands of the rainforest floods employees. dont get me wrong hes annoying as fuck but he didnt deserve to run on that hamster wheel. (ref also drawn by ford)
^ jeff's girlfriend. also the coolest person in timberline new mexico. worlds most unimportant minor character but she is wonderful and loved by the producers (me and cosmo)
FUNNY OUT OF CONTEXT THINGS THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU MORE INVESTED IN THIS OCVERSE
rainforest floods stupidity logic is a thing me and robbie came up with to explain why all the characters are idiots who dont find things out that are important to the plot too soon.
there's a chain gimmick restaurant that andy's whole family runs except him. its like italian food but its like also magicians. their tagline is "so good its practically magic". andy hates it.
kyle has a curse on him so that nobody remembers or recognizes him outside of like. his family. so the rff employees arent even targeting him for their shenanigans on purpose theyre all just weird freaks.
kelsey gives unnamed girl the company landline as her phone number because shes stupid and a ghost and doesnt have a phone.
the employees all get together on wednesdays in the breakroom and compare evidence on whether or not andy and bruce are together romantically. its the one thing that truly bonds them all together.
vincent: is a watchmojo fan, had his first kiss as beethoven in his 12th grade production of dog sees god confessions of a teenage blockhead (2004), gets really christian in some episode subplot, is not a swiftie but he is a gaylor, wishes he was jonathan sims sooooo bad, types like a toddler who was just given a keyboard.

also there's a brand account that we run and post on whenever we feel like it. its more of a sounding board for ideas we may explore more in the future. its fun but it may be a bit difficult to get the full idea with the execution so :-( sorry you wont fully understand our wonderful and hilarious visions

you see all this? all this "snow"? thats ash. how do i know this is ash? oh well mY dEAR alternan citizen, we know that the rocket essensially exploded, making the liquid crystals rain down from the cave walls. this combine with the rising sea levels during the 12000 year period that alterna sat dormant is proably what caused alterna to flood.
now we know that the snow in alterna isnt real snow, being mentioned that its outright "fake snow" by Agent 2 in Cryogenic Hopetown. we also know that the snow wasnt always there, as shown by the below image

i dont see why Alternans wouldve made fake snow and completely covered their land in it, unless they didnt put it there. at least, not on purpose.

this brings me to another theory, which is that the test chambers were made to train Alternans who were going to board the rocket.
now, we dont know where the kettles came from (ill get back to that) but wouldnt it make sense? why else would there be a clean room, if not to prepare Alternans for what theyre going to have to do on the rocket, on the surface, in space? we see O.R.C.A. specifically state that their purpose is to test Alternan's physical and mental abilities

i raise your question with a question: who was in a desperate enough situation that he kidnapped an entire army, and needed only the smartest employed under him to monitor ever corner of Alterna to make sure his planes went off without a hitch?

this explains the fuzzy rival octolings, who appear different from how fuzzy inklings appear in the game

-ive been thinking abt the way that he would speak a lot. not literally his voice, but how he strings words together. he gets very detailed and exaggerated, draws a lot of comparisons, theres a lot of long-winded insults and implications. and swearing and screaming/yelling of course but too much of that gets tiringgg. hes kinda dramatic in that way! and hes a songwriter so it would be fitting to have like a.. colorful vocabulary lmao. im basing it off of some of the dialogue writing on glee LOL (i have only seen the first half of s1 last year its not for me). hes very annoying and pretentious in that way. does not speak like a real person and thats ok
-speaking of which! ironically despite being so dramatic, he wouldnt like theatre which topher loves. and topher wouldnt like dannys rock/punk/metal scene. something something both are more alike than youd think so theyd eventually enjoy the overlap and eventually eventually grow at least a little fond of each others interests

👸- I'm breaking my rule of not talking about them for a hot second. I know this is lengthy, but I have a lot to say about how they are trying to drum up media by using fans.
It just occured to me we, the fans whoever is left, were used again. They saw pur comments about not giving them attention and adjusted thier strategy.
We all saw the photos discusses for maybe 180 minutes and then moved on. We all know they gave us what we all said last tine was missing/odd down to her out of place (we assume cause no one could actually see the dress) outfit and ridiculous heels to a "loving" hand hold flashing the ring.
But we all went theres a picture of before a possible kiss and after a possible kiss. But somehow they missed the money shot which many of us saw as in they didnt or whatever. Then we moved on to other topics and Then 24 hours later we get a video with 2 kisses and the video of said walking out.
THE PICTURE AND VIDEO OF THE KISS WAS HELD DELIBERTLY.
They did this deliberately to make sure fans talk about them for longer. Otherwise the picture of the kiss would have been released with all the others.
They did this because fans said that they arent going to give them and the poop show attention so it can go away faster. So what do thier teams do? Split up the relases. Usually outlets would have both whoever the pics were sold too usually gers the video but regardless the video is usually released at the same time.
And robert patterson who isnt media shy with his significant other went out the back to try and leave privately while the couple that says they are private didn't find a private way to leave.
chris and ebola waited infront of the glass in a weird position then give us those two very loving kisses. (I hope you all can detect my tone here)
We all saw her smirk and Chris' other language fans know so well. And if his body language starts changing again we will know it's because we all discussed it and the lurkers saw. If his body language doesnt change, that's a point in the win collum of it bejng true. Go ship. So congratulations, we all believe it is now true love!
The truth is no amount of papwalks can convince us anything other than someone seriously is holding something over Chris because I dont see any other reason why he's being forced to change to sell it. Its one thing to show up places, but having them try and act more like a couple from him is also another sign that its a sham. We have what 2 years' worth of videos to watch how they interact to compare to, so stop trying to give notes it makes everyone looks worse.
Real couples don't change what they wear and how they hold hands and act based on what fans say. Why because its idotic to do so no one wants to pretend to be aomeone they're nkt and destroys relationships as you can be who you are. After Britney Spears being forced to say she's fine for media ( a totally diffrent aituation minus that she was forced to lie that she is ok) and after Will smith and Jada revealed theyve seen seperated for 6 years but pretend theyre together for media reasons, people don't believe a lot of what's 'saud' ??and they especially dont believe/m and questjjn Hollywood couples like they used to
I have been so proud of the fandom or rather what is left to getting rid of the lablels and limiting our discussions.
Regardless if its her pr team CAA's team who is not only Chris' (as they are invested and actually have a distribution type role (i forget the exact name) in her new movie i teams really just proved how fake everything is and that they are lurking otherwise why would everything we all said across milti platforms tumblr, instagram and lipstick queen was suddenly included in this walk.
Do you want us to be convinced it's really a real relationship and they are just in the media to drum up press for thier releases?

Then don't release ANYTHING for the next 2 months. No pap walks no reels no photos no stories, no magazine or website blurbs or sources, and no photos carousel of even Dodger. Her movies is released in 2 more places one in the end of January. The other was supposed to be in February but when I just checked the date was removed. Othwewise I expect to see another dog and pony show on or around January 27th.
If we get nothing for two months including Valentine’s day and this included blurbs in mags/online or "sources". Putting nothing out there it will go a long way to convince people that they are a private couple and they are together.
If not and we get one as planned on or around the 27th....
The truth is that her career is a non starter in the usa/north america. Not everyone makes it here- we all have seen way too much of her and since that didnt get any media coverage of that scandle nothing will really get her talken about minus 1 thing:

P.S. it's a great choice to have him get makeup done makeup job on He looks a lot healthier (no one is buying that he actually changed that much in such a small amount of time is he wearing the new Prada or Dior foundation?)

I think pathologic is a good game if you know what youre getting into and also if youre a specific type of player (as in if you love getting achievements and buffing up your character pl is not for you)
Pathologic is like an interactive novel you have to get into the story and characters to give a damn especially to get in the mindset of the character you play and they make this easy bc its so well written specifically for a game it depends on the perspectives of our player characters a lot they used the medium perfectly
Example while playing dankovsky you only hear god awful opinions on the Kin from powerful people who exploit them (bc thats part of your circle youre a fancy city doctor after all) you hear they are stupid animals and in the game their backward believes are blocking you from doing your work the first moment you hear of them youre send to kill one and when the man understandably freaks out and tries to defend himself HES the one thats a panicky stupid maniac also the missions you go on you go on to exploit the kin while also looking at them as expendable while your true goal is to heal the townsfolk
In Artemys route you get to talk to this people they are real they are your people they themselves believe they are a herd of animals but thats more like a religious thing "we are all part of one big whole" they obviously have their own thoughts and feelings they have their own complicated inner workings and problems and you can see personalities sprinkled in (how no one really likes the new foreman for example lol) their believes are used agains them to paint them in the worst light you even get to talk to the butchers doing dankovskys quest while they are hiding from the guards while in his route they are a passing thought by design
((unlike in p2 where they actually are a stupid herd???? Which are half human??? Any thats why the plegue didnt kill them?????and they even brought the plegue down upon the earth???? Wtf p2 but thats a post for another day))
Also the termitary in dankovsky route you dont want to get too much invested into that its like idk its the politics of this town you have a full plate with the plegue after all and dont have time to mess around you can even make a deal with big vlad to not say anything to the kains about it all while in haruspex route its like ok why the fuck are my people locked in there from day 1
The haruspex route also makes you run around the steppe and find the beauty of it the herbs are crucial to making the panacea its beautiful and miraculous AND usefull
It really shapes your perspective so masterfully
Even all the running that everyone cant stop complaining about while it can be annoying at times (harusplex route damnnnn youuu) is soooo good at storytelling you can feel the panic of the clock running out the frustration of running around doing useless things just for anyone to just let you work and believe you and not actively try to kill you

Terribly sorry to bother you once again. I just finished Marathon 2 and I don't know anyone else to get answers from. That ending text confused the hell out of me. Durandal doesn't interact with ''man'' for the next thousand years? Didn't he teleport us back to his ship at the end of the final level? Also, I like to know what's coming up ahead, so I went to check the synopsis of Marathon Infinity before downloading it. The whole jumping around in time/different realities thing does not interest me, so I'm probably going to abstain from that one. But I saw the first (and only?) It was ten thousand years before fate brought Durandal once again into contact with man.
I sort of interpreted it as a generalized ‘man’. The society as a whole, and not only “””human””” he liked enough to continue to keep with him. But also its completely possible the security officer died of old age at that point, or is being stowed in cryo until he’s needed. Might still be kicking tho. He’s not fully human, and Durandal would for sure wanna keep him alive and kicking as long as possible. Buy anyway. The ending of Marathon 2 is the ending of that timeline.
Marathon Infinity however is a bit of a mind fuck, and takes place across several timelines where things didn’t go as smoothly as they do in Marathon 2. Its several nonlinear retellings of the battle for lh’owon where you’re jumping around and trying to find a timeline where the Pfhor or Tycho DONT piss off a very very very real S’pht chaos god, and wake it up to eat the universe. I wouldn’t say it retcons the second game exactly, its sort of like an alternate retelling. Durandal IS in it, however not as prevalent as the second game, as a big part of it is that a good chunk of the timelines place you as Tycho’s to command.
I would say its fun to play if you’re invested in the characters (especially Tycho) and wanna see new perspectives and learn about the player character as a person, but also its a lot of metaphor, and difficult to follow. If you’re having a hard time understanding where you’re at, this little chart is a big help. But generally, just keep in mind that dream levels are a segway into new timelines, and that all the terminals on those levels aren’t Thoth, despite the shared logo.
If you don’t wanna deal with it, you can play Marathon Rubicon X. Its a really really really massive fan game thats well written (tho the level design is Terrible) that picks up after Marathon 2. However it does keep the character development of the security officer from Marathon Infinity.

OKAY SO! Damn, what an episode. Really delved into Ford’s issues there 👀 got some bits of Sterling (cannot wait to see more of him ngl. he’s seems like the devil on Ford’s shoulder) Hardison and Eliot duo was iconic. Just two dudes trying to heist but panic horribly together lol. Parker was absolutely adorable (no notes, just me). It will be interesting to see how Sophie and Ford’s dynamic continues throughout this season bc they are in a rough patch 🤧 But I have high hopes

OK SO I'VE WATCHED EPISODES 7 AND 8 OF SEASON 2 OF TOTAL DRAMA 2023
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT AS ALWAYS!!!
So we got our first big gen 1 cameo! That and official canonisation of Owen's win! It was one of the season wins that had a clear better winner but a confirmation is nice! I feel like it fucks the timeline up since they just. reused Owen's design from TDI again. Im not looking into it
The challenges were really fun! I liked how the cooking challenge wasn't all athletisism, and while they've already done a human pinball challenge back in WT, this one was different enough that i didn't care all that much.
I think Damien is the most 6/10 contestant so far? Like he's nice and stuff but he doesn't grab me. Maybe the immunity idol thing can make him more interesting to me? Hope they do something with that! Oh, and Wayne or Raj are SOOOO getting the boot soon. They don't have much to do outside of comic relief and they're not invested in the current drama. Personally i'd prefer if Wayne got the boot over Raj? That or they don't get booted one episode after another. I want interesting conflict damnit!
ok fine i'll get it out of the way: i DONT care for Priyaleb. Like WOW THEY'RE PREDICTABLE. MOVE OUT OF THE WAY ZOKE, PRIYALEB IS THE NEW STANDARD FOR "STRAIGHT SHIP FOR STRAIGHT PEOPLE"! the plotline was boring as hell and Zee getting axed because of it SUCKS. Caleb would've gotten the boot if he didn't have plot armor. Like give him immunity if you wanna kick Zee out so bad!!!!
transitionning to the eliminations, Ripaxel getting double elim because "haha gross ass couple" was predictable. I litterally called it twice in a row, they were gonna get eliminated for it and they did! I do think they were great and Ripaxel has legit won me over, sorry, i love Ripper being a gross idiot and Axel liking him for it. They were funny.
As said earlier, Zee getting the boot fucking sucks man,,, i loved him :''(

Ok no but genuinely they made that movie so fucking good for no reason and I forced my parents to rewatch it with me lmfao. I’m too tired to go off about Sully and Mike’s characters in the movie but they’re surprisingly complex and I REALLY LIKE THE CONFLICTS THEY GO THROUGH UGHH.. thar friendship🥹 also Jesus crhist the scene where they scare the adults gives me chills every time because it’s so fucking good AND WHEN THEY TALK AT THE LAKE… and after Mike finds out the difficulty was rigged…
I’m eating it up so much I love when 2 guys Hate eachother at the start but then become so genuinely vulnerable and understand eachother by the end after they formed a strong friendship
I’m not even gonna get started on the monsters inc world as a Concept because it’s like the best and cleverest worldbuilding ever so I’m already Very invested in that. But the stakes were so high here and they were so vulnerable and th. Sobs.
AND. Holy fuck
Mike works SO hard and he’s belittled and stepped on repeatedly and his dreams are basically Crushed Multiple Times throughout the film and yet he perseveres. And at the end he DOESNT “win.” He doesn’t get back into the scare program. He isn’t scary and he will never be scary even though that’s all he wants EVER. Mike works like 100x harder than Sully to try and be scary whereas Sully is scary without trying because he just Looks like that. And that’s so fucking real dude .... it reminds me a lot of learning disabilities and disabilities in general. “You’re not scary, but you’re fearless” I’m gonna explode
It’s so disability positive, and NOT in a super “my disability is actually awesome and gives me an advantage!” Kind of way ( that message in itself isn’t Terrible but it’s missing realism and it’s a little over-positive) but yeah the fact it DOESNT do that is GREAT. Because disabilities DONT give you an advantage in most things. Having a disability means you have to work extra hard to be level with everyone else and it’s exhausting. The special thing about Mike is that he’s able to exceptionally plan and think ahead and he’s really intelligent despite not being scary. (Aka his disability)
This video puts it really well better than I can lol but GRAAGHHH this movie is so fucking good thank you 2013 pixar. It’s always such a joy to revisit and it’s one of my favorites and I love it

I'll be honest I dont know anything about Maricraft I wasnt into mc content before Dream/ds.mp 😭 However I would still love to hear you rant about how its considered an ancient realm compared to d.smp and other servers and more about Lasercorn being connected to the Blood God. He was my favorite from the OG Smo.sh Games squad :3
You're letting me talk. This is the equivalent of letting a vampire into your house I hope you realize this.
ok so quick background, I wasn't into streamer content either before DSMP, but after getting some fun updates about Smosh coming back, @quaking--aspens pspspspsed me into watching his little guys do minecraft from way back when, saying "oh you know there's a couple of really interesting parallels between Lasercorn and cDream" which of course immediately peaked my interest because I am the most normal person alive.
He was absolutely correct but this was also a trick to get me invested and it worked 100 percent. I am a fool in fools shoes.
Lasercorn does Crimes (murdering an entire village) because Mari tells him its a good idea!
And then gets called a tyrant immediately afterwards by her.
He becomes the Ultimate Enemy who they (there's a bunch of people) team up with sometimes. Then in a Grand Finale after many battles and conflicts Mari decides shes going to blow everything up with TNT. Also Lasercorn gets betrayed again a couple of times despite him trying to be more genuine and straightforward, because sometimes you give someone an inch and they take the mile.
(Someone kills Lasercorn's horse. He's very pissed about it.)
The roleplaying isn't nearly as cinematic and dramatized as it ends up being in the dsmp but I wasn't really expecting it to be. These are just dumbasses having fun in 2014 minecraft, most of them don't even know how to play the game. Lasercorn is the only person doing any research and its inevitably why he wins most of the time.
And now here's where the insanities comes in.
When Lasercorn murders a whole village, consider that this act peaks the Blood God's interest. Lasercorn is the very first person to form a covenant with him, an avatar of violence and destruction. In Maricraft, people would tweet him prompts and suggestions to do in game, which is the equivalent of 'Chat' for him. He would also watch the Maricraft videos after they were posted, allowing himself to get info on what the other players were doing (visions and info that the Blood God gave him.) He holds grudges and he's the most wrathful person in the world.
Now, in the sort of "middle" of their minecraft timeline, they experimented with a lot of mods, having wands and amulets that could do all sorts of things. They could also, coincidentally, revive the dead. Real Cool And Awesome. Consider the concept that servers had all these magical items and backups to prevent players from perma-death, safeguards in the early days that they just don't have anymore with the life system. Maricraft was 10 years ago to the DSMP, and by the time Schlatt gives Dream the revival book, most of these ancient artifacts are used up and useless. The revival book surviving this age is a small miracle.
There's more things regarding Hermitcraft (which started in 2012, which is before Maricraft began) and EvoSMP (where the Watchers lore came from, 2017) and other servers and MCC. But when I started typing this I got distracted by something and walked away from the computer and I'm just now sitting back down and realizing I don't have the focus for more typing. The focus is gone. I'm posting this now and worrying about the other stuff later.
