Returnal Lookbook
Brown and blue for the eyes, mismatched and complimentary.
A black mirror speckled with stardust; a strange face looks back at you.
Intricately woven jewelry, looking more like tentacles and spider legs than  metal.
Green, red, white, blue, black.
An hourglass with red sand; without being moved, the sand reverses itself.
Scents of overgrowth, water, wool, burnt raspberries.
Thick boot covered feet running through the elements.
Season’s don’t fear the reaper, and neither should you.

fairytale asks 4 and/or 14
Omg I didn't think anyone would actually ask me 😂
4. Their Kindness, possibly through one of those enchantress-disguised-as-disadvantaged-person tests, though I'm not really sure
14. A spell to make light! Seems easy enough
https://rai-knightshade.tumblr.com/post/614258920448458752/fairy-tale-inspired-ask-game-which-item-would <- ask me a question!

Inspired by @museenkuss's post: VI. the thoughts that echo through an empty apartment
This is the first time I wrote a story, no edit, no proof-read, just vibe. I'm not a native English speaker so the grammar and expression may be weird.
Trigger warning: suicide (not as a main theme and not from the main character)
"It's fucking Christmas"
The girl thought as she dragged her last two pieces of luggage across the hall.
"Why the fuck did I decide to move on Christmas eve again???"
The thought crossed her mind as she put the key into the lock and twist. BANG! The door burst open to show an empty apartment, except for a bunch of her stuff that was hastily put into the corner of the living room instead of putting them in their destinated room.
The apartment was spacious, with big windows showing the view of the busy city. She tiredly shoved her last luggage into the pile of stuff. All the furniture, including the bed, was to be delivered tomorrow so tonight, it would just be her with a bunch of stuff with no place to put them in.
Still tired after all the moving, she was going to pull out her phone to rest for a little bit before starting to unpack all the luggage, but then, she got distracted by the lights from the street. Her hands were too full to switch the light switch so right now, all of her apartment was shone by a mixture of yellow, red, and green from the street light.
"It's Christmas!"
She cheered. Seemingly forgetting how tired she was, she skipped to the window and look outside. Everything and everyone looked so happy and at peace. Friend groups are over there posing crazily for their Christmas pictures, the couples over here are sharing a kiss in front of the tree, while a small child nearby is happily running to the decoration while their parents screaming for them not to run with a smile on their face.
"It's Christmas", she whispered. It dawns on her how she has decided to spend Christmas by herself instead of happily spending it with people she loves.
She turns her back into the window, looking at the empty apartment that is still filled with Christmas lights from outside.
Then she remember why she decided to spend this particular Christmas alone.
When she was a small child, Christmas was the most wonderful time of the year, it even far superior to Tết, a holiday that she actually got time off for almost 2 weeks straight. Every year, her aunt would host a big Christmas party. It was always a good one too, there would be Santa, gifts, big dinners, family, Christmas music, and full-on full with her cousins. But time move on, her aunt move away, her cousin studied and worked abroad, the Christmas party stopped at some point completely. Since then, her family will always try to bring something special to Christmas, but it would never be the same again.
But that alone wasn't good enough for cruel fate. Her junior high idol, Jonghyun from SHINee, suicide on the 18th of December, 2018. His death feels like the end of all hope to have joy in Christmas for her. Every Christmas after that event turned into a night of sadness, of missing both her childhood and one of the persons who gives her so much smile during that time. She had no hope of bringing back the happy, carefree Christmas that she once had.
But things got better. She slowly healed from the pain and the grief of losing her idol and her childhood. In the fourth year after Jonghyun passed, she finally got a semi-normal Christmas, she was not sad, happiness slowly came back.
So this year, in the hope to give herself a completely new Christmas memory to look back into, she chose this eve to move to her new apartment, her dream apartment since she was a freshman in college. After years of losing herself in sadness and grief, in lost hope, and finding her direction in life, she made it. A not-so-small step has been made!
"It's fucking Christmas," she smiled while looking at her apartment. She started to unpack her stuff, her favorite mug, the hot choco powder, and the thermos were the first stuff to get out. She gonna make a hot chocolate while admiring her apartment. The feeling of Christmas echoes in every nook of it.

Fairy tale inspired ask game
I’m bored so I’m answering this by myself :)
Which item would tempt you most? A golden comb, an embroidered belt or a gleaming red apple?
A golden comb probably
You know the Faerie Queen is holding her ball at dawn. What dress do you wear to seduce her? (Description or photo)
I’m not going to seduce anybody! Just going to look gorgeous ^^ A victorian gown made from rose petals ^^
Tumblr media
Something like that
Are you more the type to cut off your braid and wear an armour to save your princess or the type to give up your royal privileges to run away with your beloved maid?
Cut my hair and put on an armor - i was raised on Eowyn and always loved knights as a kid :D
When picking a suitor, would you test their wit, their intelligence or their kindness? (Bonus: how?)
Their kindness definitely - i would let them take care of little kids for a whole day, see how they intereact with them and how much patience they have :)
You’re send out to save your kingdom from a cruel king. The journey will lead you through dangerous woods and unknown lands - what do you pack in your rucksack? Which animals would you ask to aid you on your journey?
Torch, matches, rope, blanket, water and food, spare shoes and cape, map, first aid kit :D, knife, fishing line and hooks, dunno what else...
I’d ask a mouse and a raven and maybe a horse...
What stayed with you most from the fairytales you enjoyed as a child? Can be a quote, a detail, a character, a moral or a whole story ark.
Always be kind to those asking for your help and be persistent.
They’re all awful, but - in which castle would you rather be improsoned? A castle filled with your loved ones in deathly slumber and surrounded by rose hedges - a glass castle at the end of the world, threatened by the cruel coldness of sun and moon who hunger for human flesh - a castle with a beautiful garden where every path leads to the same secret chamber dripping in blood? Why?
I’ll go with the deathly slumber... It seems like the most comfortable option :D
What poem would a kind-hearted mortal have to recite to entice you into revealing yourself to them?
At the faerie banquet - which food entices you to break the rule of never touching what faeries prepare to eat?
Oh gosh... Probably a stew made of something impossible to get in the human world and smelling amazing
A horrific beast has locked you in their castle. What character trait of theirs would sway you to look beyond that gruesome face and, eventually, make you fall in love?
Hmm, not sure, i think i wouldn’t be able too until it let me go and apologize :D I just don’t get how you can fall in love with your kidnapper... Guess im not very romantic xD
As part of the Fae folk - What name would you tell mortals if they tried to find out yours?
Pearl, Perełka
Would you rather live in the cool-glittering depths of the sea, the fragrant-green meadows or the pine-dark, blackberry-scented woods? Why?
In the forest but right next to the meadow :D It seems the most comfortable
You’re a dragon. What do you hoard?
EVERYTHING! :D
You’re a witch. What is the first spell you learn?
Levitation spell
Which painting best describes what your personal fairytale would look, feel, taste like?
Mark Rothko - No. 61
A cruel king asks to marry you. Which three impossible dresses do you ask for in exchange for your hand?
A dress i wear in another dimension, the most beautiful dress in the world and a dress from the Bermuda Triangle >:)
Which magical item would you want to own - A magic mirror, a heart-shaped book or a golden key?
A magic mirror, duh!
Which would be worse for you - if a loved one got transformed into a fawn and was thus vulnerable and mute, or if a splinter of a devilish mirror fell into their eye and made them cold and unfeeling?
The splinter in the eye - i don’t want my loved ones to not love me :(
What scent would fill the air to hint that you’re near?
It tempts me to say fart but let’s be serious xD  Warm, sunny dust :3
You leave the safety of your family’s home and go brave the dangers and adventures of the world. What do you seek - Love, Self-Fulfillment or Glory?
Finding glory would be my self-fullfilment :D And if i was self-fullfilled id love myself :) All 3 id say :D

Marie Museenkuss survival guide for the dark months
move body every day (Pilates, flexibility, yoga, dancing tutorials on YouTube — to keep my body warm and happy and my spirit entertained)
one lunch/shopping/other date with friends a week (to make sure I’m not sinking into self-isolation, to exchange words, thoughts and concepts, to laugh together)
1h of reading a day (to keep myself inspired)
one good film a week (to keep myself inspired visually, to starve off the bottomless scrolling spiral)
one outing a week (Museum, cinema, reading, anything to get out of the house and remember that there is more than darkness, sludge and dread. Also to spend time with myself (or friends/family?) and appreciate the opportunities that going to new places and seeing new things/people give me)
do something with hands (knitting, writing, anything I can hold in my hands later on to remember how I passed the time)
take care of appearance (coordinate outfits both at home and outside, do nails, use scrubs, get ears re-pierced etc to feel comfortable in my own skin and avoid sinking into apathy, to bring pops of colour into the grey)
stimulate the senses as often as possible (new foods, colourful notebooks, playlists, scarves with interesting patterns — anything to keep myself alert, interested and entertained)
