"Light is always within us. When the mind is settled, we see that Light. When this state is developed, we see it everywhere, even with open physical eyes. You see the dark veil, and the Light within that. In the Light you see the blue sky and the golden center shining resplendently -- in the still pose of mind; and when you try to make and use your own efforts, your mind's still pose is disturbed, and you lose it. We need not make any efforts. Our clutching will stand in the way and retard our progress. We should, however, make effortless effort.
"Sit fully devoted and fully absorbed with the inner gaze fixed, losing all sense of effort -- as effort involves a taint of ego -- leaving all to the Master within." (from an unpublished book of Kirpal Singh on meditation practice)

“I mean no offense or anything. I’m not putting you down personally, I hope you understand. It’s just that … well, look. People are always labeling … as a performer … rather than listening to whatever it is you’re doing and … uh … accepting you for what you are. I mean they’re always trying to comprehend you, you see, and they think that by saying, hey, I got that cat’s label—you understand?—that they have you all figured out. You can say … uh … well this dude here is obviously a rock singer … or this cat here is a country-western thing … you know? So now that I know what he is, I know all about him! Well, you don’t know shit!
“It gets to be a ridiculous situation when I come out with a record and some people will say … my, my! … that doesn’t sound like Stevie Wonder. Well, shit. How can I not sound like me. That’s not my problem, when that happens. That’s the problem of somebody who has…ah…jumped to conclusions too quickly.”
Stevie Wonder quoted in an article by O'Connell Driscoll at The Stacks Reader, originally published in Rolling Stone, 1/19/1975. Growing up Stevie Wonder
Stevie Wonder's 16th studio album, Inner Visions, was released fifty years ago today. It's a very beautiful album. A few days after the record's release Wonder was seriously injured in a automobile accident after performing a show in Greenville, South Carolina. I hadn't known that Ira Tucker, Jr. was his tour director and curious about that stumbled upon this wonderfully vivid piece by O'Connell Driscoll.

REVISITING INNER VISIONS by Otto Rapp
Via Flickr:
Variation of a text-prompt generation in AI Deep Dream. The text contained the words ALTERNATE REALITY and BOGOMIL. The option of Text Prompt is a new feature on Deep Dream. deepdreamgenerator.com/ Prints available: otto-rapp.pixels.com/featured/revisiting-inner-visions-ot... I like to mix A.I systems up: I initially generated this using my self-portrait as the seed in Nightcafe, and with the same prompt and modifiers. Now re-cooked here in Deep Dream using one of the (4) results from Nightcafe. I think so far they all turned out pretty good. Stable Diffusion seems to have drilled a hole into my skull and copied my deepest thoughts. The strength of the text prompt was set to 50% - I think in this case the seed image had also a good influence on the outcome. PROMPT: The Inner Life of the Artist Otto Rapp - his Alternate Reality in Bogomil's Universe MODIFIERS: highly detailed, oil on canvas, cinematic postprocessing, Hieronymus Bosch, Surrealism, International Gothic

From Darkness to Light Through Meditation - Spiritual Awakening Radio Podcast
On the web you'll find a lot of talk about spirituality, yet so few rise above body-consciousness and get to experience that Sacred Inner Space for themselves. Reliable information is quite rare. There's so much discussion about "gnostics", "mystics", "sages of philosophy", "masters of the east", or "ancient scriptures" but almost nothing is ever said about the spiritual practices of these gnostics and mystics of the ages. Only with a Living Mystic Path, a Living School of Spirituality is one close to the Inner Circle of Masters and Students where this sort of Divine Path can be made knowable to the genuine spiritual seeker by way of Initiation into the Mysteries.
Today, an introduction to meditation for beginners that also provides a glimpse into the world of advanced practice, inner Light and Sound, the path of the masters, East and West, in the various schools of spirituality. "Darkness is no longer dark to me." "There is a Sound emanating from beyond the silence." (Spiritual masters allude to transcendental heavenly senses, eyes and ears of the soul able to see and hear spiritually.)

“It is impossible to confine love to the temporal and transient levels of life, and it is impossible to confine the grandeur and majesty of God to the dimensions of the mind... I had no fixed starting place in time and space, for I dwelt in a multi-verse that was co-extensive with all the ages. But my inner world was still limited by the boundaries of creation; I needed the guidance of a spiritual adept, within the physical world itself, to give me new birth into the freedom of eternity.” (George Arnsby Jones, disciple of Master Kirpal, author of, An Odyssey of Inner Space)

thinking about cellist!simon who was widely known across the city — a big burly man handling his cello with such gentleness that it was almost surprising, yet too beautiful in its own way.
he would speak through his cello, venting his emotions out through the emotive and haunting tunes he'd play, enough to bring tears into the eyes of many.
this man wasn't good with words, so he chose music.
and then one day he saw you in the crowd of his latest performance, looking at him with wide teary eyes, a weird sense of understanding written on your face. as if you could pick up on what he was saying through the melodies he produced.
he'd never felt so seen before.
oh how he wishes that he could dedicate all his upcoming pieces to you, to make you his muse.

CARMY X READER ENJOYERS I need ur input
I wanna write a rly dysfunctional fic abt a relationship between you, a chef working at the beef (for maximum distress) and carmy (YOUR BOSS!!!) im thinking friends with benefits, messy emotions, angry sex, just a gigantic traumatic clusterfck
What do u guys wanna see from a messy carmy fic like this?? I’m trying to come up with scenes and meat for plot but I want some outside input
For example here are some scenes I vaguely have in mind
Carmy being rly mad and arguing with you and you argue back and shut him up by giving him a blowjob in the back (LMFAO)
You doing a REALLY good job at handling the chaos of a day in the kitchen and he is like “come to the back for a reward” and he gives you head
Taking a smoke break with him in the back after saying just the WORST things to each other in the kitchen. Maybe you will make out. Who knows
You and carmy usually argue but one day he makes you cry and then he feels really bad
It’s sort of an enemies to fuckbuddies/friends to lovers situation and you guys bring out the worst in each other because…it’s fun to explore!
Anyway yeah if y’all have any thoughts on it PLS HMU whether it’s in dms or my inbox!!
