Another Friday Night: Patrick Bateman x reader

It was about that time of the year where things started ramping up for Pierce & Pierce : Mergers and Acquisitions.

Well not really it's a very grey place to work. You. Well you were just an office runner, no real handling of anything important appart from maybe keeping the pens in stock and making sure there was enough paper in each printer. Making sure the common areas were kept up like restocking kitchen suplies, cups for the water fountain and mediocre coffee station.

The best part of the job was spending the company credit card on snacks and stocking up the snack bar in the "kitchen" area. The kitchen wasn't really a kitchen it resembled a tiny apartments sad excuse for a kitchen but it was missing the stove and oven. Instead replaced with a tiny bench top microwave. Besides the point spending money on cute little snacks and restocking the snack bar was very therapeutic.

You took alot of pride in the "kitchen". I mean there's not much u can take pride in, in this job. You were technically a "secretary" but... It was mainly Jean which took care of the classic secretary jobs.

I'd like to think of it as secondary secretary or on call assistant. Unlike Jean you moved around a lot more whereas she was more glued to her desk replying to emails and phone calls. She was always so polite when she needed me to run some papers to another person. Usually you were last to leave the floor, after Jean leaves for the night you stay back replying to the last lot of emails she didn't get to, usually it was just 5-6 emails with 3 sentence replies.

She's pretty good at getting through the influx of emails everyday but the ones left weren't anything too big so you didn't mind getting the rest done.

Also, you stayed back just in case someone else on ur floor stayed back and needed some errands run.

More often then not its was to pick up food... Again. Half the time you were on coffee runs, lunch runs, another coffee run, another late lunch run, snack runs etc. The snacks run out rather quickly actually. If it wasn't food you would be picking up things from the post office, things from the dry cleaners or once again running a Manila folder to another big grey building down the block. Tonight wasn't so different. You stayed back like usual today there weren't any emails to reply to so you sat at Jeans desk surfing the Web and online shopping.

Tonight Patrick was staying back, you didn't know why it's not like he does anything appart from being a dick. Everytime u passed his office you saw him he reading a magazine in his office or doing a crossword. Everytime he had called you in to run a task it was something useless like throwing a piece of paper from his desk to his trash can in the left corner of his office which he was too lazy to do. He definitely does it just to fuck with you because every time there was a condescending or snarly comment. Of course you would without fail glare daggers at him or reply with an equally snarky and condescending remark.

Scrolling mindlessly for shit you didn't need untill the phone started ringing. It was Bateman. So with a annoyed sigh you picked up "Yes, what." you said impatiently. Honestly you just wanted to go, it was boring and you wanted to use your new artisan bath bomb. Plus it was Friday. "Come here" and then he promptly hung up. What could that prick even want. Getting up with a heavy huff and an attitude walking up to his glass office and pushing open the door.

You stared at him with an expectant look, 3 seconds had passed before he decided to speak. "I need you to carry this" gesturing to the fancy wine and Armani wine glass set that he got gifted today. "seriously... Too weak to carry this your self?". He ignore you putting on his blazer and picking up his breiff case ready to walk out. Bending over to carry his gifts you follow behind him leaving his office.

The elevator ride down was silent and full of tension. What a dickwad you thought. As we got to the ground floor there was a Porsche already waiting. Walking around back to put the wine and glases in the boot suddenly hearing "no I need you to hold on to them in the car, don't want them breaking now do we" he says emphasing the last few words. The driver opens the door for you to get in and shuts it after you give him a slight nod.

Patrick is already seated next to you and staring out the window. God even the way he sits is pretentious. Sooner or later we arrive at his apartment complex. We get out and he waves the driver away. What a dick move, you now had to call your own cab home. After he makes you carry the shit up to his apartment on he makes you call your own cab home??? God what did you ever do to make him hate you so much.

The whole journey you had been glaring at the back of his head trying to burn a hole through his skull. He unlocked his door and opened it up waiting expectantly for you to walk through. You do. As you look around trying to find a table or something to put his stuff down on. At this point your arms were tired and you were exhausted. Not to mention that it was a fucking Friday night. Your eyes landed on his white marble counter top and finally dropping his useless glasses and stupidly expensive wine off. His place was nice but boring as you expected. Clean but a maximalists nightmare.

As the weight left your arms you sighed and went to turn around and leave as you heard a *click* the sound of the door locking.

Did this bafoon straight up forget he just let someone into his apartment??? Walking up to Bateman who was leaning back against his apartment door looking sly. "okay ur stuff-" before you could finish your sentence he had you in a choke hold with a cloth over your nose and mouth. Struggling like a maggot in the beak of a bird, thrashing around untill all went dark.

Blurry white was all you could see. What happened. What the fuck. As your vision came back you sat up slowly. Where. What. You were confused and still trying to figgure out what was happening. Hands shakey reaching up to rub the blurring out of your eyes. Checking yourself for any missing limbs or anything that might indicate what happened. As you explore you feel a thick collar wrapped around your neck. Huh?? Pain shoots through your whole body. In two distinct pulses. As soon as it stopped you hear a chuckle comming from behind you. Turning you see Patrick sat on a chair looking awfully proud of himself. "Patrick..what's going on?" there were tears welling up but you were not going to let them spill.

He hold up a remote with 3 buttons shaking it like a toy in front of a baby tauntingly not saying anything. Pressing one of the 3 buttons with a click that almost echo's in the room. Instantly you feel the pulsing pain shoot through you body again. This time it went on for one second longer but it felt like a minute.

Angry and scared you shouted at him but all that came out was a high pitched pip and air getying caught in your throat. "awww what's wrong? Cat got ya tongue?" he teases walking closer now being over to meet your eye level.

You were on his bed, atleast he had the courtesy of putting you on his bed instead of the hard floors. Gathering your voice back up "Patrick what the fuck?" you manage to snap.

"I would drop the attitude if I were you"

"No Patrick what the actual fu-" pain sears through your limbs once again making you double over onto your side. "Be nice. Or ill shock you till your brain oozes out of your thick fucking skull" Patrick spits out, the dislike apparent in his voice.

As the pain subsides you open you eyes back up eyes landing on the knife he was now holding in his other hand. "Patrick why... Why?" looking up at him as he looms over the edge of the bed, voice no longer as strong or determined but quiet. Putting the knife down oh is side table he grabs a fist full of your hair making you sit up and look him directly in his eyes. "since you think ur so fucking smart why don't you figgure it out" adding a hmmm at the end as to belittle you even more. As if this wasn't already enough.

"what do you want" you whine out eyes casting down. His eyes were piercing straight through you. You didn't want to admit it but something inside you found this oh so very hot.

Letting go of you hair and grabbing his knife back he opens a closet. Watching his movement closely trying to figgure out what he was possibly going to get. He starts to set up a tripod. Oh God what the fuck you think to ur self. Panicking even more if that was even possible.

Adjusting the camera to face you he clicks a few buttons then clears his throat. "Ass up for the camera" in a stern demanding tone. Looking at him questionably to counter he holds up the remote for the shock collar you had on. Almost challenging you. Reluctantly you get on all 4s and arch your back with ur bum facing him and the camera. His footsteps comming closer untill you feel cold sharpness run up the back of ur thigh. You hated him more than ever you were scared, confused, angry, tired and yet your body seemed to move on its own. You sank back into his chest and arm as he pressed a kiss on the back of your neck. He was completely different than who he was 30 mins ago. You couldn't imagine the Patrick you saw in the office doing all that to you. You couldn't imagine the Patrick that cut you up pressing that soft tender kiss he just kissed on the back of your neck. Yet he did.

Thank you very much for the kind words and gestures mate💐 (wish most people were interested like you but I have hope someday it will get attention) so to answer your questions I will spill them out in detail

(heads up: the world building is still in works so I don't blame you if you still get confused at the end of reading it but just to clarify it still in the works but his is what I got so far)

For question 1:

In the world building, it contains things you might be curious with, the world building is considered to be fantasy, sci-fi, (horror but only for the important parts so not as much) coming of age, superhero, and yeah (that's all I can think of) Now. The world of mine is considered to contain, Marvel (supers from the mcu), God Of War, and the famous game itself Minecraft

Now originally, this was only all based off Minecraft itself because our original characters were from Minecraft named Renny and Tank (who you may have heard of on this blog) and in all cases, after the smithing templates were added to the game, I actually started watching marvel again and oh my I forgot how much I loved marvel, so a crazy idea of mine popped up and I decided to add Minecraft and mcu idea together to fit my world building, therefore leaving me to make new characters which are these ones you see today, the reason is because Minecraft's lore itself fit so well with the mcu in my opinion cause of how similar their fantasy and sci fi sides fit together, and also because the trims that were added looked cool and I wanted to think they give their host powers once it was added to the armour, so there (I'll explain that next time when you or someone else asks)

Then a few months later which was during the coming of the new years of 2024, I watched god of war, and I never actually liked it at first but then when I did I loved it so much like the mcu (I watch the 2018 and 2022(?) Ones not the 2000s I'm not an og) and so I decided to add all both mcu, Minecraft, and gow to fit together in the world building cause it actually fits because of the characters we have.

In the story these characters you see today are in our year the present day, and because you think they are in the mcu you think they are on the main universe earth-616 but they are actually on a world of my own called earth-937, the reason gow is in here is because the characters that I will mention are gods as well 1 god who is good and 2 others who are bad (basically villains) and so I thought it would be a good combination because I also have a god realm in the story before this so I guess it makes sense, and mcu is part of this cause I think I already just explained if not just remind me and I'll explain it if I didn't

And finally to question 2:

The main character throughout all of this is a character named Francis (last name being Besong) who is the main person you will see a lot (and again main character) he is known to be: funny (and when I mean funny I mean not by jokes but by the way how he acts when he wants to make someone laugh) fun, responsible, respectful, trust worthy, loyal, (dumbass that can't solve math), and all the good guys traits yk, he's an ambi or omni vert. Francis in the group is known to be the main leader cause he was the first one in the group to become a super, only after a good 5 days his friends found out and became supers themselves with him cause for the past 5 days he was bad at doing his super deeds

Francis is also depressed like any other good superhero cause really who hasn't made their characters depressed its character development lol but francis overtime eventually becomes the strongest super in the group (only to find out something deep about him he didn't know himself, if your still curious just ask and I'll explain what it is)

So...those are your answers, again the world building is basically a wip and still being worked on but I don't plan changing it anytime soon, if you want to know the deeper lore of Francis then I can explain more about him and if you want you can ask about the other characters themselves feel free to don't be shy in fact I've been waiting and hoping people ask about my ocs and world building and such more and know more deeper about it. it’s just so robin!

I’ll give u my thoughts on all opinions on who she would choose and why cause I’m bored

“Ima put myself in the situation on why it why not I would or wouldn’t end up with yk who”

Reader ends up by herself- well she stays with herself and her son bc she healed and realize she doesn’t need any of them and is much happier just traveling around the world

Reader ends up with rooster- of course this would be the ending I’d want only because I believe reader will never stop loving her first husband and well joe was kinda there for her but because she was grieving they got together to quickly and of course she fell in love with him quickly. Like he was my first love and husband of my first child of course we fought and for example it’s like greys anatomy okay WAIT here me out when (spoiler) Derek died that was Meredith’s love of her life and yes she fell in love with Andrew but like she said it before if Derek were to magically to be alive again she would leave Derek in a instant bc no one compares. Which I think it’s somewhat like this yes she fell in love with jake but rooster will forever be her first love and if he dies she would want him to be alive. Hopefully that made sense but like I worded it weirdly.

Reader ends up with jake- now I think this one would be a little bit hard bc I do believe jake broke her more and if she did truly love him she would have noticed before she married rooster and had a kid. But I wouldn’t say she can’t end up with him bc it is possible bc maybe she fell out of love for rooster but in this case she didn’t. So I don’t think this would be an option only because from the chapters I have read I don’t think she would end up with him.

Reader ends up with both- okay so rooster and Jake have actually spent these weeks or months trying to get used to eachother while reader travels and they realize they both love reader and would do anything for them and they start apologizing to each other for having those fights between them and reader ends up picking both and rooster and Jake bc very close and protective over reader and the little one.

[of course in my opinion if I physically put myself in her position…I think I would chose Bradley BECAUSE like I said if my husband died and I fell in love with someone else and then a year later I found out he was alive yea I do love this other person but that love would never compare to the love I had for my husband the father of my child and would leave that other person and go back to my husband. Yes the both hurt me in ways but in reality Jake had no right to threaten us if he truly loved us he wouldn’t have done that and what rooster did was also not nice but he never threatened us all he did was no tel us about his life WHICH he left the instant he found his memory’s again and if that doesn’t show he doesn’t love us what does. He could have gotten his memories but stayed over there in his new life but he didn’t. He came back to us. I also don’t think I’d ever forgive Jake i can forgive rooster bc what he didn’t wasn’t bad yes he has anger issues but look at it from his point of view he lived a different life bc he didn’t know who he was but he found out and came running back. You see what I’m trying to get here?? I don’t think I’d stay alone bc I love both and the one I’d chose would be Bradley my husband. So out of all those options I’d chose Bradley.]

He strikes me as smn who is very much in tune with his emotions so I'd expect him to be quite empathetic so expect this dude to panic a little

it breaks his heart to see you in that condition, aiming to help immediately

his go to move is probably words of affirmation (or just straight up apologies lol) and physical affection like he'd pull you into a hug, caress your head gently while letting you cry all you want, asking if you're comfortable or need to leave if there are other people present

while he understand that you are sad and vulnerable he'd be hurt if you rejected his help

afterwards he would take time to talk it out with you. maybe eat smth while talking or just cuddle. it depends on what you feel like doing

for him it rly boils down to why you're crying

if a person was behind it, i can assure you they'll end up dead. wouldn't even bother making a puppet out of that mf. would leave them to rot in the woods

now, I am not saying that him putting his hand on yours while leaning his head against your shoulder isn't comforting. what I am saying is that you can tell-everyone can tell- that he got this from some "emotions 101" handbook

one thing he can think of himself is to give you thinks that make you happy like a present or your favourite food

but I would say that his main method would be spending time with you by either just quietly holding you or having a full on date to cheer you up

in summary: he is not the best with emotions but this man loves you to death and would do anything to keep you happy

Probably the best one ngl

he knows you fairly well at this point and therefore doesn't panic much

sure he is worried but his first thought would rather be "omg I need to help" and not "shit shit fuck fuvk fuck what did i do-"

his voice remains calm and he takes you to a quiet spot if there are people around

expect some more physical affection than usual because the next few days will consist of cuddling a lot

I can see him already making a habit of taking care of you (reminding you to eat, rest etc). and for the next few days you can expect him to pay even more attention to you

he'd cook for you, compliment you more often, maybe even do your hair and what not, all aiming to make you feel better and also loved by him

Kisame

he is the type to not be rather hesitant with physical affection, not knowing if you want it

compared to some other blogs that I have seen I dont really view Hidan as much of a player. I think he is just hot and stupid and also looks stupid

he'd go all soft and worried, asking "what happened?", "are you hurt?", "who did this to you?" and my personal favourite "please, i am so sorry idk what i did-"

you have his full attention. if you were to hug him he'd immediately go all the way of wrapping his arms around you, kissing your head, whispering comforting words while gently caressing your hair/back

and he will hold you for a good while

when it comes to solutions tho, he sucks. because just like sasori he is good in what he does but other things like that icky-vulnerable part of emotions and how to deal with them accordingly is not exactly his strength

he wants to help and beats himself up over not being able to do more than just sit and listen even tho sometimes this is all that matters

he wants to solve the issue and make sure you don't cry again but there is simply nobody to sacrifice when all you're crying about is smth like stress or just a bad day

Kakuzu

He knows you're abt to cry when you act like that. Don't ask him how he knows or he'll say smth like "you always make that face" which, personally, would make me cry harder

he'd probably be counting some money or just doing sOMETHing when you started crying and even if you tried to hide it mans would know

he'd pull you to him and hold you close, knowing the task at hand is important but so are you

he can definitely multitask unless he is counting money. I mean he could but he dislikes doing that. Enjoying the moment with the money in his hands to the fullest♡

after you calmed down he starts talking, asking whats bothering you or if he can help

he listens, making sure you know he is listening

he'd also start being more affectionate towards you by either buying you more surprise gifts or holding your hand more often. if you're rly lucky he will pull his mask down to kiss you once in a while

so he takes the day to relax

but i can still see him trying to get work done while at the beach and you have to force him to put his shit down

i keep imagining skater!yuta who goes to the skate park with hiyori and the other second years. he tries to show off some cool tricks to her but he kinda sucks and at first he's upset because how tf did maki pick up skating so naturally when she literally just started today and he still can't land a flip right even tho he's been skating for years but then hiyori comforts him.

never rlly thought about yuta as a skater but now I can't get it outta my head....I'm gonna do this in a no curses AU where they're regular high schoolers (Panda isn't in this cause idk how to fit him into an AU where they're regular high schoolers)

- he started skating in middle school cause it cleared his head and no one bothered him when he was skating

- it was basically an escape from all the bullying he had to deal with in school

- he's got a sticker photo (yk the ones u can get from those photo booths) of him and hiyori (she's kissing his cheek) pasted on the back of his skateboard along with a photo of him with all of the second years (that gojo secretly took of them all laying in the grass after an exhausting day of training)

- his friends find out after they find one of his skateboards in his room and they convince him (more like they made hiyori use her puppy eyes which yuta stands no chance against) to bring them with him when he goes skate boarding again

- a week later, they're all at the skate park and yuta has never been so nervous before in his life because now they're all expectantly looking at him and waiting for him to teach them how to skate (also cuz he doesn't wanna fall on his face in front of his girlfriend...poor bby rlly wants to impress her)

- he's actually rlly happy because skate boarding has always been his escape from everything and now he can bring his friends into that world

- maki (i see her as a jock type for sure and no one can tell me otherwise) gets it right away and starts trying to do tricks that she sees other ppl at the skate park doing

- yuta is stunned cuz it took him months to learn how to flip and maki just did it 30 minutes after learning how to skate

- yuta tries to help hiyori on the board but she ends up getting it as quick as maki (i hc that hiyori and maki would both be athletes if they went to a normal hs. yuta would be one too but he kinda got roped into it (basically what happened in the JJK Fantasy High special chapter that the author posted))

- he's seen other ppl bring their s/o to the skate park to teach them how to skate (ppl hold onto their s/o to get them used to being on the board) and he's always wanted to do it with hiyori since they've started dating

- the moment he goes in to wrap his arms around her to help her steady herself on the board, she gains her balance

- man is punching the air because he was rlly tryna have a cute couple moment with her but then she looks at him with this rlly happy look on her face and he can't be upset

- maki teaches her how to flip and hiyori ends up getting it pretty fast (again, yuta's punching the air cuz he wanted to teach her all the cool tricks but maki did it instead)

- it doesn't help that maki's smirking at him while helping hiyori steady herself after she attempted another trick like that SHOULD'VE BEEN HIM.

- inumaki finds this whole situation hilarious. he's not that into the whole skating thing so he's on the side eating some ice cream he got from this kiosk nearby)

- hiyori sees inumaki eating ice cream and stops skating to eat ice cream with him (PRIORITIES)

- yuta and maki are like "where are toge and hiyori??" and they turn to see the two of them just sharing a cup of ice cream

- she ends up just watching with inumaki cuz skating is fun and all but it's not rlly her thing besides she likes watching yuta and maki skate

- she thinks yuta's cute when he's skating especially when he smiles after landing a trick correctly

- every time he lands a trick correctly, he immediately turns to look at hiyori who smiles and gives them a big thumbs up while telling him how good he's doing

- yuta def seems like the type who's love language (receiving) is words of affirmation so man is literally puffing his chest proudly with a goofy grin on his face whenever hiyori compliments him (and she showers him in compliments)

- there's something about having her watch him that makes him try new tricks and most of the time they land. he thinks its cuz she’s his good luck charm giving him luck but in reality he’s just trying his best while drifting up in cloud 9

- the first time he falls, hiyori comes running to him asking if he's okay and he tries to tell her he's fine but she pulls him to the side to take care of the minor cut he got on his hand

- he keeps trying to tell her he's okay while she cleans the cut and sticks a cute bandage (i hc hiyori as the type to carry around cute bandages like yk those hello kitty ones and stuff) on his cut

- he stops when she raises his hand up and kisses where his injury is causing him to blush

- then she kisses his lips this time and tells him to be more careful

- he's got a dopey grin on his face and he's like "mhmmmm" before giving her a look asking for more kisses cuz "they make it hurt less" and she peppers his face with kisses

- his mind does the math real quick like "injury = kisses from hiyori"

- he's starts overexaggerating his injuries a little when he falls after that

- scraped his knee a little? he's limping to hiyori so she can dote on him and give him kisses that'll make the pain go away (maki makes disgusted faces at him when she sees this but he's getting kisses so he's not even upset about it)

- on his birthday, his friends get him a new skateboard and it's custom painted by hiyori with a really cool design of all of them as cartoon (anime) characters on it along with all the other things yuta likes + more (even rika's on it!). there's even two areas for him to put photo stickers on cuz she knows how much he likes his photos

- he loves it so much and feels bad using it cuz he doesn't want to ruin it

- starts using it after his friends tell him that they'll just get him another if he ruins this one so he should just use it

- gets asked by ppl at the skate park where he got his board from cuz of the cool design and he smiles proudly every time and goes "my girlfriend drew this for me" before pointing at one of the photos on his board that's just hiyori waving a peace sign while grinning at camera with yuta next to her

- his friends end up going to the skate park with him regularly cuz maki's taken a liking to skate boarding too (she's got her own board that hiyori customized too with this cool dragon design)

- hiyori and toge go for the ice cream and to watch

his outfit is so so so good i would die to wear it

in general this man is one of my fave jojos characters and i get a lot of comfort from him

imo the way that his death was drawn out was genuinely one of the most heartbreaking deaths in the entire series and fucks me up each time i think of it

also fandom take- ppl make him constantly only angry boy all the time and it really irks me. ik araki did not give him 2 much to work w in terms of canon personality but its frustrating

the light novel purple haze feedback is so so so good and adds sm to his character and i really like it for that!

fugo is one of those that imo deserves a lot and didnt get that

genuinely the vibes between how he treats narancia is v interesting to me, like its clear he cares about nara but nara not doing great w math really frustrates him

i love their interactions and how he is genuinely a kind person at times

the manga colors r superior here, my strawberry boy <3

probably my least favorite member of the team for a semi good reason:

the jokes towards trish are really really uncomfy and how fugo doesnt wanna be involved but he is pushing him to do something that makes him uncomfortable did not make me like him a lot

hes goofy but not goofy enough for me to be ok with the repeated jokes about that esp in the body swap episode (ik it was supposed to be funny but it just felt off)

his vibes r good but i wish we got to see his hair

the fandom interpretation is normally pretty good of him overall?

despite not loving him a lot, i really enjoying writing for him (one day might open up headcanon requests or smth but unsure)

hes someone id wanna watch movies w but his taste in movies and mine r very different

love how he and his stand get along

honestly has very very good comedic potential

i really like how he and giorno interact as the series goes on (in a platonic way i need to clarify that i love their friendship)

again him in purple haze feedback was really interesting

how spice girl starts out as a stand thats helping her thru a very stressful situation is so cool and i love it

bc giorno is the only one that knew what happened and people that were closer to bruno due to knowing him longer didnt

i wanna see how trish coped w that personally

despite being introduced not at the beginning i think her arc and character in general were as well paced as it could be!

This isn’t proofread at all so I’m sorry if it’s a bit messy. I did it with Tito because I love him way too much, no pandemic, just a birthday and wayyy too much fluff. I hope you’ll like it, and happy birthday!! <3

So Tito isn’t the best at remembering dates

But he’d never forget about your birthday (especially since he wrote it in his calendar and scheduled reminder notifications to make sure he’d plan a gift in time

He spends the night at your place the day before, and you’re both up talking late

At exactly midnight he’s wishing you a happy birthday and you’re melting at how sweet he’s already being

You didn’t even realise it was past midnight, but Tito was always paying attention to the time

He promises he’ll give you your gift during the day, and you know he’s got the whole day planned for you

Tito LOVES to spoil you, but you don’t let him do it very often, so he’s going to make the most of this opportunity

He gives you just about a million kisses before you both fall asleep

At first you’re both into it, making out but too lazy to do anything else, but after a while you get super sleepy

It turns into slow kisses, barely brushes of your lips together before you rest your head on his shoulder and just fall asleep

Tito is smiling to himself when you do that, you’ve got a tendency to fall asleep on him really easily

It warms his heart because he knows you have trouble sleeping on your own, so when you’re not together so spend a lot of time on facetime with him at night

In the morning you wake up because you’re getting kinda cold, and you pout a little when you realise Tito is already up

It quickly turns into a smile when you realise he’s actually cooking you breakfast (which he doesn’t do very often)

Tito almost groans when you walk into the kitchen, he was planning on bringing you breakfast in bed but his plan obviously failed

He settles for a hug instead and wishes you a happy birthday again before he softly kisses you

You melt into his arms and sit on an empty space on the counter while he finishes cooking pancakes

You’re wearing nothing but his t-shirt and it takes everything in him to keep on cooking instead of just standing between your legs and letting himself get carried away with you

Tito knows you wouldn’t mind at all, but it’s your birthday and he thinks you deserve better than to be fucked on the kitchen counter today.

You eat together on the table he set up with fresh flowers he got delivered the day before and put in a vase in the guest room because he knew you wouldn’t go in there and discover the surprise

The morning is soft and quiet, just the two of you talking and exchanging smiles. It’s relaxing and beautiful, and it reminds you of why you fell in love with him so easily

When lunch rolls around, you’re both going out to a cute café with some of your close friends and a few guys you’re close with on the team

You get showered in gifts, some cute bracelets, notebooks, some clothes your friends had seen you look at last time you were shopping together

Tito promises the day is far from over, and you wonder how things can possibly get better because you’re already having the best day

The little group you were with at lunch drives to the rink and you all go there to skate

You’re kind of terrible at it but Tito loves teaching you, and you find it really cute when he’s holding your hands and skating backwards to pull you along

Mat tries to teach you a few things too, but he’s way less careful than Tito and you fall flat on your stomach with your arms barely catching you

Tito is by your side in an instant, telling Mat off for being such an idiot because he’s super scared you hurt yourself, he knows how easy it is to break an arm with that kind of fall

It takes you a few more seconds to get up with his help because it was quite a sore fall

You give him a hug and chuckle at how protective he is while promising you’re not hurt

You also tease him for getting so worried when he always tells you not to worry whenever you see him fall during a game (you’re always terrified he’ll get injured with how fast everyone is moving)

Tito laughs it off and you take a few more laps before you’re all getting off the ice to get some hot drinks

Mat rolls his eyes at his friend’s reaction but doesn’t say anything because he knows how important it is to him that the day goes perfectly

You have the best time, and you’re happy Tito managed to include all of your close friends into the day

You love spending time alone with him and the morning was amazing, but the atmosphere is more festive with a little crowd so the way he balanced things is perfect

You get kidnapped by your friends before the night can start because they have something planned for you too, so you have to let go of Tito for a little bit

All they do is bring you to one of your friend’s place to get ready, and it reminds you of how you used to always do that before going out when you were still studying

There’s a box waiting for you there, and the note on top of it scream Tito before you even read it

It’s a gorgeous burgundy dress you tried on once with him while you were trying to pick matching outfits to go to a wedding together

You remembered the way it fit perfectly and the way Tito’s jaw dropped when he saw you in it

You had settled for something simpler in the end, but knowing he had the dress bought for you so long ago made you realise just how much he cared about making this day as amazing as possible for you

There’s a simple but beautiful necklace and earrings set to go with it, it’s exactly the style you like to wear every day, and Tito wanted something you’d actually wear regularly and that wouldn’t take attention away from the dress

Your friends get ready with you and you all head to a restaurant together

Tito booked the whole place to be able to invite a lot more friends and throw you an actual birthday party

You spend the night by his side, leaning into him or dancing with him to every song that comes on

You thank him just about a million times for everything he’s done for you today

You’re still sober at the end of the night and Tito is too, so when you get home with him after a great party and far too many gifts, you’re still well awake and not ready for the day to end

Your breath catches in your throat when you see roses on the living room table, and rose petals all over the place

“There’s still one gift waiting for you,” Tito says after the door is closed, and you’re turning around to look at him.

“But- the whole day? And the dress and everything?”

“Not the most important thing,” He shakes his head and you nod, waiting for him to continue.

Your heart stops when he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a little jewelry box.

“I just…” His voice trails off before he continues. “I’ve been thinking about how I feel with you a lot lately. I know I say I love you a lot, because I truly do, but today is special so I wanted to do a little more than that. I got you this promise ring because… because I know we’re still young, and we’ve got a lot of growing up to do, but you’re the woman I want to spend my life with, so I promise that one day, when we’re ready, I’m going to replace this ring with another one, and it’ll be because I’ve asked you to marry me,”

You’re so overcome with emotion you take a minute to find what to say

Tito isn’t worried because he can see in your eyes how happy this makes you and he knows you’re just overwhelmed

The ring is the perfect size on your finger because Tito sneakily got you to try some on through the many days you spent out together and he took note of the size for each finger every time just in case for future gifts

You can’t stop holding him or telling him you love him

Tito promises he’s going to keep showing you how much he loves you for the rest of your lives
