Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, games, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks...

Oh for sure. I’ll tell you my list of favourite characters from the media that I consume:

1.) Matakara Asamine (BUCCHIGIRI?!)- It is no secret that ever since this anime aired, he has become one of my top fav anime character. Character-wise, I love how he is the sunshine puppy childhood friend character but with some depth like dealing with inner demons regarding his lonely past and insecurities and it kind of goes to show that Mata is not your typical cheerful sunny character as he underwent a corruption arc back in Episode 9.

2.) Diamant (Fire Emblem Engage)- I’m pretty sure if you guys have scoured through my art blogs on my second art account and Twitter, you would realize I tend to draw fanart of him all the time. But as for why I like him. I like how he genuinely tried to reach out people outside of his kingdom that doesn’t need to involve war and bloodshed. He only gets angry/resort to violence if his loved ones or people closest to him are targeted (like the Morion incident) and that he also has major insecurities involving his duties as the Crown Prince. Oh and he also has a funny side to him like laughing at the most corniest joke that his retainer Amber has done. Oh and his relationship with Alcryst and Citrinne are the best too.

3.) Princess Peach (Super Mario Bros)- Gonna throw in some women in my list because it ain’t fair if I talk about hot dudes all the time but really I’ve been playing Peach’s second solo game since yesterday and I’m instantly in love with it. Now as for her character, she is a darling. She can be baking a cake one day, doing her royal duties another day or just go out and have fun with Mario and friends. But really, Peach is Nintendo’s most iconic female character of all time due to how she showcases that being girly and being badass aren’t mutually exclusive and that they can go hand to hand (Amy Rose is of similar vein too as well) and that whilst a pacifist, she won’t hesitate to get her hands dirty.

4.) Tooru Kirishima (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting)- If anyone from 2022 has remembered how much I talk about this man, then yeah. Anyways, I just love how despite being an extremely violent yakuza enforcer, he’s actually a kind, quiet and socially awkward man but can be a bit of a tease towards his closest friends and family (have you seen the man interacting with the mum’s in Yaeka’s school?). His relationship with Yaeka started out awkward at first but over time, you see them geniunely bonding with one another. But that being said, it’s not best if you get to his super scary side if you piss him off more than once. Also, I have a weakness for scary men (sometimes women) with a heart of gold to them. He’s my silly little meow meow

5.) Takina Inoue (Lycoris Recoil)- I got into the anime pretty late last year despite being released alongside The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting in the Summer 2022 anime lineup but yeah I love Takina. She originally started out as a cold and ruthless girl who follows orders to a tee without being aware of the dangers she posed but after meeting Chisato, her worldview changed for the better in that she became a much kinder person than the cold hearted assassin she was before. She can be slightly awkward with her interactions, a bit straight faced with embarrassing things but that doesn’t hide the fact that she can and WILL kill for her loved ones if they’re in any danger (she’s basically a female Kirishima lol). Oh and I love her voice actresses performance so that’s why she is my fav. (Tho if you ask me who I like more, it’s Xanthe)

6.) Penny (Pokèmon Scarlet and Violet)- Penny is one of the Pokèrivals I just vibe and relate with because like her, I’m a huge nerd when it comes to anime that I like and we are also introverts too. She is blunt and rude yes but she’s a child who is capable of growing, as shown in the DLC epilogue where she began to take notice of how Arlan pointed out that her dad cares for her and that unlike him, she at least have families who love and care for her. (Oh and she has a party full of Eeveelutions, what’s not to love?) Oh and I recommend checking out her storyline because it’s amazing.

7.) Kiyoshi Teppei (Kuroko’s Basketball)- Like with Kirishima, I was also constantly crazy about this lil guy back in 2021-2022. Now I know he was introduced pretty late in Season 1 out of nowhere with no buildup, but he quickly became one of my favs because of how he is a teddy bear personified, can be a little dumb and unaware of the things he do but all he wanted to do is just have fun. Oh and he can display a selfish side if his friends are in any danger (Kirisaki game arc). His chemistry with literally anyone in the Seirin team is just too good but I like the ones with Hyuuga cuz you can te the VA’s are clearly having fun with voicing them.

8.) Souma Shiki (Play it Cool Guys)- Out of all the five main guys, I identify with Souma the most and the reason why is that like him, I’m trying to find things that I enjoy the most but sometimes feel insecure about it as well. The way he just laughs is just too plain adorable and his chemistry with the main cast, especially the ones with Shun is mostly enjoyable. Definetely one of my favs.

9.) Mitsumi Iwakura (Skip and Loafer)- Something that me like Mistumi is that out of all the female main characters that I have seen so far is just how confident, ambitious and reassured she is. Sure, Mitsu makes some mistakes here and there but it’s justified in that she’s moving to an environment that she’s completely unfamiliar with but still she tries her best with the things said environment provides her. Oh and any scene with her is just so enjoyable because of how endearingly innocent and awkward she is and that she is also trying her best in what she’s doing.

10.) Jing Yuan (Honkai Star Rail)- Listen I know that prior to being “fixed” in later updates, many ppl aren’t too keen in using him due to how his gameplay style wasn’t really the best and how other Lightining damage dealers like Kafka and Serval beats him. But I hardly saw anyone talked about his character so here I am. I think what made me fascinated about Jing Yuan’s character is that even if he appears to be slovenly and sleepy looking all the time, he is pretty shrewd and calculating when the situation calls for it. He is also a pretty nice guy and that despite having deep issues with his former comrades in the Cloud Quintet, he tries his best to stay strong as possible to the point of being self-sacrificial. That and he is one of my “Not Gay BUT-” type of characters.

You’re like the only Naruro blog I follow and none of my friends have read Naruto so please I must share my thoughts with someone ;-; So I’m at about chapter 300 of the Naruto manga and this is the first time I’ve actually consumed any canon content of the series despite having dipped my toes into the fandom content before. I have a few things to get off my chest. One, I don’t really get why the fandom HATES Sakura so much. Yes, in OG Naruto, she is generally useless, but more so bc she was so sidelined completely. Her first fight against the puppet dude in Shippuden was genuinely so fun to read, and she’s actually so strong, more than I thought just based on what I’d heard prior to reading the manga!! The worst parts about the mangaka’s writing really come out when she has to deal with her feelings for Sasuke, the damsel in distress trope hits horrifying new levels of awful. If the romance hadn’t existed, I think she could have been such a better character, because then the mangaka wouldn’t have to add his such shit writing of women outside of punch heal heal medical ninja™️. (Although I will say, I do love her friendship with Naruto and I think that was written great!) Like I really do like her character but the writing is just so bad sometimes. Secondly, Sasuke. Kinda. Unbearable. I know he’s out for revenge and all that, and that he has a redemption later on but for now🥲 I can’t stand him I’m sorry 🥲. 2 edgy 4 m3. And right now, he’s kinda just. genuinely stupid. And I can’t take it. This is totally just a personal thing tho, I get that it’s a part of his character arc. Finally, I sorta get the impression that the fandom (not on tumblr but in general) really take their interpretation of characters to the extreme, and have the most one dimensional view of characters. For example, Tsunade genuinely seems like an awesome Hokage, is one of Naruto’s biggest supporters, and all the fandom sees is her boobs. Sakura is “useless” and “evil” for not returning Naruto’s feelings. They think Sasuke is a cool edgy deuteragonist who can do no wrong despite doing so many things wrong. “He tried to kill Sakura? Good!! She was useless anyway!!” So many of my views of the characters has been completely flipped on its head now that I’m actually reading the series. My view of the characters before I started reading was so skewed by an awful fandom. I really did believe that Sakura was useless, and that Hinata was somehow a better character????? And that Sasuke was actually justified in what he did, and that Tsunade was a bad hokage, to name a few. Makes me feel so stupid that I just believed it. Anyway, thats my rant! I hope this isn’t too negative or anything, but people sometimes praise this series like it’s the peak writing of all time, when there’s issues like blatant sexism (just to name one) within the writing itself and the fandom. I am really enjoying the series right now and am looking forward to what happens next!

:SCREAMS AND CLAPS VERY LOUDLY: YEAH YEAH YEAH

The women in Nar/uto are done dirty BOTH by Kish/imoto and a fair proportion of the fandom. I understand why some parts of the fandom venerate Sak/ura to make up for this and act like she was written amazingly, but I gotta admit, I find that annoying as well jhfjfgjdgjf.

Tsu/nade is honestly one of the few women in Nar/uto who I genuinely love to watch! I love that she's allowed to be messy and drunken and a gambler, but she's also got a strong head for politics, and she's amazing on the battlefield. And honestly, who better to run a country than someone who can run a hospital??? You need a similar mentality, lolololol. Like, yeah, she makes some poor decisions! As does every leader in the history of ever. But she's fun to watch and this is fantasy, so that's what counts!

Her obvious love and care for Nar/uto and Kon/oha are so sweet. The forehead kiss got me all kinds of soft. What a badass granny! I also shamelessly shipped her and Shi/zune even as a kid, shhhhh

I think I love certain interpretations of fanon!Sak/ura a lot more than canon!Sa/kura - she does have INCREDIBLE moments in the show, which I adore, and she's allowed to be both physically strong and emotionally vulnerable, which is awesome. But so much of her arc centres on Sas/uke, the edgelord who I was mildly obsessed with when I first watched at 13, but now just see as your average... well, 16/17 yo EDGELORD, and it makes me roll my eyes up into the stratosphere. The ending of her arc will never not make me cringe. Especially since she has her bangs back... like... kish/imoto... mmm. I think I'm maddest that she has SUCH POTENTIAL to be an amazing character, and it wasn't really tapped into - it felt like she was constantly sidelined to focus on the boys' arcs.

As for Sas/uke himself... A lot of his fans will happily ignore every awful thing he does just because he absolutely has a point about Kon/oha being terrible and needing reform (am I still pissed about how very little of importance changed in Bor/uto??? maybe so.... put the fucking frontline fighting age up to 18 at least, jfc). Like - don't get me wrong! I love that he does terrible things! I think he deserves to be a little bit unhinged, and it kinda suits his character as, again a 16/17 yo edgelord. That's just what they're like. But he's very much an Ends Justify The Means guy and I can't take anyone seriously who argues that a vengeful, bloodthirsty child becoming dictator of all ninjalands would've been the better option, actually.

hello :) i saw your posts about lu and idk if you were gauging interest in people hearing your opinions. personally i would be super interested in reading what specifically about every lu character is ooc! i am similarly frustrated with the current dominance of lu characterizations in fandom as a ww fan. ive been following for a while i just logged into this side account because i am scared to ask on main :( i hope you do not mind the somewhat bare blog. thank you!

oh my god oh my god oh my god someone wants my opinion??? do u wanna make out???? u do not understand the power u r giving me rn u do not understand how annoying and nitpicky and very passionate i can get specifically about lu bc i care so much about link its unreal and also bc i just like things like linkedmaze, dimensional links, and minaslinkverse better characterization wise bc to me they have shown the "found family links meeting up" thing a lotttt better than lu when i still read it

but to be fair i STOPPED reading around the part where four split due to the way the lu community reacting to the person with DID, a very stigmatized disorder who genuinely just wanted Jojo to acknowledge they messed up in the past and present and didnt like the vauge ass apology she gave making me actually disgusted. ppl talk about accountability then rallied against 1 tumblr user who was uncomfortable bc ppl liked Jojo's comic so she doesnt have to explain that now she respects nonbinary ppl and understands how past things were wrong for her to say we just infer this bc lu good :/ like hey maybe Jojo owned up to it afterwards or something bc she made 2 apologies that would make a YouTuber blush so i was done w/ the community and it was only rlly after that and after i played a few of the actual games + read some mangas i realized wow actually i do not like lu as much as i thoguht i did they butchered my boy, also i feel i should say it literally wouldnt matter to me do what u want in ur au but lu is now a fandom of its own and its influenced a lot of other aus and interpretations of link so i do take issue w/ how ooc these guys end up being

OK HERE R THE MOST BASIC ISSUES W/OUT GETTING INTO EACH LINK RN:

for one i dont know for me having link as a secret hoarder who would rather DIE than use the full scope of his abilities around OTHER HEROS is just no bc thats fucking stupid levels of wanting to appear normal around OTHER HEROS possiblly the ONLY other ppl to ever understand what u r going through

for me having every single link act like a frat boy/standard teenage white boy who is emotionally constipated is a no??? have u SEEN link he is so sociable and kind and understanding to other ppl WHY r the links like this, so many fics just...make them stew in their issues for angst and not trust the others and be incredibly insecure about the other heros(which is lu canon for at least hyrule and wind i think?) and like ok that is definitely fine for 1 link but why r they all like this in the games link is clearly not like that he wouldn't be this closed off and wouldn't hesitate so much like my dude he just inserts himself into other ppl's lives to make them better than leaves he wouldn't pussyfoot around other heros like what

also another major issue is the mergings just lead to certain characterizations or important backstory for certain links(FOUR. LEGEND.) being completely erased and the nuance of their journeys lost like when u merge links who r canonically 100s of years apart not just in the timeline but in the GAMES? yeah u lose things that make that link special

also bc u mentioned wind waker i found it kinda fucked up that wind waker link was delegated to The Kid TM even tho his entire journey was about moving on from the past to a brighter future and he took on the mantle left behind by the hero of time on his own volition and did what Time COULDN'T do which is kill Ganon but he is constantly underestimated and made into the Kid Who Wants Approval trope specifically around Time which sucks ass ngl he deserves to be an equal him still being a kid while the others got to grow up, including Four who's first journey arguably would have been a better fit for this archtype of wide eyed kid, is just side lining one of the most interesting links especially considering most of the other links were YOUNGER than him when they started

this is all general stuff plus 1 of my issues w/ Wind bc ur a Wind Waker fan bc as a Spirit Track fan i feel a kinship, im gonna make another post for specifically each link breaking down my issues w/ how they r portrayed later bc rn it is 8am and i ment to just say haha ty for the permission but then my inner ranter came out i am INCAPABLE of being normal about lu especially after i actually experienced zelda games bc lu was my FIRST introduction to zelda outside of smash bros lol

[Magi rewatch] Episode 6: Warrior Tribe Fanalis [Part 2]

Morgiana having visible scars >>>

No, fr, anime ppl should really just. Start drawing scars in general. Especially when it comes to the female characers. I feel like at least male characters get to wear theirs, but female ones have to look perfectTM. Just draw women with scars ffs.

I'm trying to make sense of her eyes here, ngl. Like, it's probably a dream effect or sth, but made me wonder if Fanalis eyes become red with time.

It's still a pretty depressing scene, but my mind works the way it does.

Cute, but, again, I kinda liked the manga version better, mostly cuz I liked how Morgiana's first reaction was to try to stop whoever was trying to touch her. That wariness made a lot of sense, y'know? Anime Morgiana comes off as a little more helpless here, the manga one still had the instincts to protect herself.

Small change here, in the manga iirc Nadja and her parents were leaving Balbadd bc of the conflict, but here she just says that they were living there, and then got caught by some scary guy. Like, damn, how bad was the situation in Balbadd for something like that to happen. Though, to be fair, it could've happened, given that mess and all.

Is there a Magi character that had, like, a good life. They're all just flesh bundles of trauma.

She's trying.

Small change. She just smiles here, then pats Nadja's head. I like how in the manga her smile fell the moment Nadja wasn't looking. Cool characterization moment. Morgiana is reassuring her, but she's also very serious and understanding of their current situation. It's not good.

Gdi these rugs. I have flashbacks. But anyway, it's actually pretty cool - Leila is panicking, searching for Morgiana.

It's so cool, actually. Leila freaks out that Morgiana might've been attacked, and rushes to help her, but gets stopped here. And she's furious that somebody's trying to stop her from helping her friend.

Nadja's sick.

In the manga it was less dramatic, lmao.

This looks. Kind of silly.

They ruined my cool flashy birds with that yellow bg. This is why I don't like yellow. Ironically, a lot of my fav characters are yellow. I'm confused by that, too.

Jokes aside, the flow, obviously.

That being said, it was still a bit funny how Morgiana was just lowkey flying there. Gravity who?

Ok, but the choice of words there. "I am Fanalis. One of the rulers of the Dark Continent. One of the strongest slave tribes." Em.

Small disservice to Morgiana, again, here she just straight up breaks the door. The manga shows that while she's fully capable of handling that kind of stuff, she's also not above less violent ways of dealing with problems. She tried to use the key, but since it didn't work, she opted to kick the door. In the anime she just kicks the door like that. I wouldn't say it's bad or anything, but in the manga Morgiana seemed more poised, even in such a dramatic situation, which, imo, was both a little funny - her being polite in such circumtances - and just a cool character trait. But oh well. I'm not faulting anime!Morgiana for not bothering with pleasantries.

Y'know, cool of the anime to address the fact that Nadja's sick. The manga kinda forgot abou it, lmao.

Like, in the manga he made friends & was vibing, but here he looks so sad and lonely, come on.

He's happy to see Morgiana, tho.

Ok, he did make friends with them. But they looked more chill, which was funny af. Here they're serious, eh.

I've been wanting to re-watch Fairy Tail for S O long now... my ex friend got me into watching it years ago, and I never got around to finishing it. It's my favorite anime! I finally decided to sit down and start watching it again. 🥰

I also started buying the manga too because again, it's my favorite, and I want to own it all. 💚

I finished watching: The Tower Of Heaven Arc:

Lucy and Juvia's fight made me feel so many things. As I said before, I never liked Juvia, but I'm really liking her character and how smart she ACTUALLY is. I'm so excited for her.

Natsu in the dumb kitty mask was my absolute favorite part. I love him. S O M U C H. He's so silly and makes me so happy. I also loved how powerful his true dragon form is. I loved seeing his scales appear for the first time.

We also got Erza's back story, and it always breaks my heart. Everyone in that tower deserved better. The first few times watching this, I didn't realize that the wizard who saved her was from Fairytail and that his guild mark was on his back( even tho it was pointed out several times )

I am S O SO SO SO SO. excited for the next arc. Gajeel and Juvia both have officially joined Fair Tail. Juvia also got a new look, and my next favorite part is also in this arc 😏

Ah hell my bad i did get. Really busy & really tired the end of year holidays are busy & really draining. I am a sea person but im glad that resonates with non sea people too. People try & talk to you often there? I dont know a whole section of verb conjugation so im not sure how id do there. Fried bread & cinnamon sugar what a peak combination thank you churros. Same i need to pick up more spanish food recipes. Oh? Thats a good start actually. Knowing simple stuff like eggs or grilled cheese or uh. Chicken noodle soup are good baselines. I mean. Yeah same to a degree. I turn them on when im reading or walking/going places. Keeps me focused. Mag is good. Same with nightvale & alice isnt dead. Thats some solid luck kudos to everyone for not getting attacked by gulls. Id wonder about that too australia seems. Nice but very weird. Like their one prime minister who walked into the ocean & disappeared. Kudos to her for finding one she likes & gets along with enough to move there. Ah nothin like light hearted roasting among friends love that for you. Oh jeesh thats like my geometry teacher i had once. Dude would get distracted & then skip stuff he was supposed to help us learn. & still test us on it. Had a different math teacher help me sometimes because he was better at teaching. Hell yeah english teacher for the save. She sounds cool. I dont have time for meta so like. Why bother when if something works it works? Oh is honkai meta that hard? Do i need to focus on that on the way through the story? Oh thats way better like star rail having a pick your own on standard after x amount of pulls. What genshin's fate system could be if it was good. Hmm im not sure where even to start. I guess about himeko. Like her place in the story & what her story in hi3 is. Since i doubt its similar to in hsr. Hell she does have that vibe doesnt she? Chill piracy milf in a way. I hope she becomes playable. A thirty minite backstory? Must be a heck of a joke. Or because of all the polish nuance. Thanks! Ill have to see how she plays of course but personality wise she's good. Fontaine has killed it with interesting characters. Oh? Why the screen limit is it a doctors orders thing? & no worries about that life hit me hard so i understand. Ah thanks im getting to where gear matters a bit so ill need that luck. Need to up talents & such more though. Makes sense then but damn 4 pm as the other option? Both of those aren't super great. I live close to my work which is nice but i still have to wake up 2 hours before for early days because otherwise i wont wake i am not a morning person. 4 am? Hell mad respect for that i could never im barely a person some days at that hour i definitely wouldnt be. Oh nice congrats! On the exam & the history memes. At least your friends are becoming nerds with you. Important group activity. Im caught up on show & manga releases but i do need to read the spin off still when i can find it. Claire has protag rights to one name

AH ITS OK i just. Dont trust tumblr to function properly AJSKFJJH. but ah wishing you some time to chill soon. i understand tho since its the end of the first semester in my school so literally every teacher is trying to squeeze in as many tests as possible. yeah sjdkfkkskdf thats one thing everyone can agree on i suppose!! and it really is like that!! the stereotype about spanish people being seemingly All Extroverted is. much more true than i expected it to be. especially when compared to poland where everyone just more or less minds their own business. and not knowing the language that well proved to be less of an issue than i thought actually!! as in. i do Not speak spanish very well but through a series of trial and error combined with a lot of gesticulation i managed to communicate well enough. AND FOR REAL good lird. they were so right for that. and thanks!! i can more or less follow intermediate recipes so i can Survive more or less. and ahh thats fair, i unfortunately cant really listen to stuff outside my house as i only own headphones and not earphones and i dont like being Completely disconnected from the sound around me when im not at home. but very understandable. ANYWAY YEAH AUSTRALIA IS. A PLACE. i heard about that one prime minister yeah..... wild...... and yeah ajdkfjg me and my friends have been dissing each other for a Long time since i did the same thing in my previous school. always fun. AND AOUGH I FEEL YOU i have. a Lot of teachers like that. but eh im pretty decent at studying on my own [if i find the energy.....] so its managable. with math teachers too actually which is very funny bc last year we had this one teacher [we called her The Brick] who just. did not explain Anything just start doing exercises on the board and then be disappointed when we didnt understand anything. so obviously we were very happy to hear that were gonna have a different one EXCEPT??? SHE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO COUNT???? LIKE GENUINELY SHE DOES SOMETHING ON THE BOARD THREE TIMES AND EACH TIME ITS SOLVED INCORRECTLY. IN A DIFFERENT WAY. ah well. but yes my english teacher is very epic. if nobody got me i know she got me can i get an amen. and exactly i agree with you!! as in. i like when theres a Big Number so i try to more or less build my chars but im not gonna wreck my sanity doing the same domain over and over again. the honkai meta however IS pretty hard so i try to keep up with that. but im much less excited for part 2 so when it drops im probs gonna focus on gearing the chars i already have instead of pulling the new ones since you can do anything with a good support and i have. pretty good supports [HERRSCHER OF TRUTH FOR THE WIN]. id generally recommend Not Completely Ignoring it yeah. tho i did and still managed to pull myself out, but it wasnt a pleasant experience [god. superstring dimension with ungeared teams. Augh.] so. yeah. AND RIGHT???? honkais meta may be painful but the gacha sure is not. AND YEAH shes just. chillen. and the joke is [linguistic rant incoming] actually not That long [i just love hyperboles] although there is one joke that is Actually pretty hard to explain. anyway what i wanted to say is that she has ESSA which. first of all this is slang but its slightly outdated slang [which, of course, doesnt stop me from using it] and it just. well when you say someone has essa it means theyre like. chill in a cool way. cool in a chill way. but also essa itself can be used like. hm. for example if you manage to do sth, say, pass an exam, and you wanna say you did it and also it wasnt very hard?? you can just say NO I ESSA. its not quite translatable into english but needless to say i shall now begin using it. AND YEAH FR rare occurence where genshin made me actually care about male characters. as in. i love furina forever but neuvilette has actually proven to be someone i like as well.

[once again. tumblr forcing me to do a paragraph break] his autistic swag has captivated me. and yeah ajdfkgjsj as it turns out im both farsighted and have astigmatism so i should be limiting my computer usage...... its ok tho im trying to get into traditional art more and also studying is easier. so Its Joekay. ahhhhhh talents are such a pain to level up.... i just never have enough stuff for them seemingly. yeah my history classes have godawful times good lird. and we actually do less material bc of that since our teacher just refuses to do anything on the 6pm classes and just does twice the material in the monday block instead. i love my life. fair enough tbh, i picked up an ADDITIONAL 7am class bc its not mandatory and was close to disbanding but my classbestie really likes it so i joined to make it less likely to fall apart but ah. im regretting my decision. but at least the teacher is nice so. AND FOR REAL i do not understand where they get their energy from. or the dedication. ANYWAY. ONTO THE HIMEKO LORE

i Should mention that im not an expert on himeko lore BUT ill do my best hehehe. however i will reiterate that heavy spoilers ahead, especially for chapter 9.

SO himekos backstory is revealed in the alien space manga [which, admittedly, i read only because i found out shub niggurath appears by the end and i love niggurath] but it goes more or less like this. i wont go into detail about what Exactly happened because truth be told this is a pretty long manga and i simply do not have the motivation to do an Entire Summary but basically. when she was in university, her father, who was working for schicksal and also the host of an Actual Literal Alien kiiiiiind of went berserk [without her knowledge, of course] and welt had to Kill Him. which is pretty bad because they knew each other and were Kinda friends. anyway since her mother was already dead and she was infected with honkai at the time, this caused her to join schicksal! of course, the entire time kept in the dark about what exactly happened to her father. so when she was in schicksal, she was in the squad let by ragna lothbrok, who also ended up dying in action, and himeko ended up in saint freya. she also made bianka join schicksal! so anyway this is where we get to the main story. i wont go into chapter chiyou bc im gonna be honest i remember Nothing from chronicles. but she was kiana and the others from the main squad mentor, guiding them through their journey as valkyries. when kiana awoke as the herrscher of the void during the void arc, she was also Actively Dying from honkai poisoning [since valkyrie gear uses the honkai in it but she had pretty low natural resistance to it]. fu hua gives her an antidote that Could save her life but, during the final lesson, she uses it to temporarily seal the herrscher of the void so that kiana can live on. and dies in the process. i cry watching it to THIS DAY. but himeko remains as somewhat of an Afterlife Guide to the end of the series, appearing as flashbacks and visions in the chapter 11 ex cg, meteoric salvation, like an entire section of set tomorrow ablaze, everlasting flames, and graduation trip. to summarize, I LOVE HER AND WILL CRY ABOUT HER AGAIN. AOUGGGHH. she actually means so much to me you have no idea you have NO idea

Uh, heya, it's been quite awhile, hasn't it? I haven't had like any time she says as she started reading a new manga as well lots of fanfics on A03 only a few days ago. Well not enough time to actually go and catch up on this, I've decided to try and do that in my summer holidays, which take over a month to come still too, 5 weeks to be precise. 1 week of that is work experience, one day meeting someone that will tell us about how he was in the DDR prison and then getting bought out by the BRD, then also 1 day going to an art museum with my class and I think that should be all, plus period that will make me unable to attend probably like 6 days again, sighs.

Well anyways, how have you been? And all the fabulous anons? How has writing gone? Are your projects going well?

Personally I've for June done an art challenge thing, 1 drawing per week. Had to postpone the next two drawings each by 3 days though because I need to study.

But hey! I at least improved in history! I got one of the better grades in my class, it feels like everyone is failing history tho tbh. I do not want my latin exam back tho. Write physics last Monday, this will decide if I fail this school year or not I'm pretty sure. Tomorrow I'll have an English exam but that's gonna be easy ngl, just gotta finish the last 3 sides of the book we have to read. math exam is next Tuesday, the topic is kinda easy, I think. And a lot more. We also will have to do presentations now in geography, in hopes that will save my geography grade too.

I have fallen in love with the manga "Mairimashita! Iruma-kun!" in hopes I wrote that correctly lol. It's really nice. Can only recommend. Did you like Lizzie's musical? Are you excited for season 2 this Saturday?

Hi! It's been a while indeed, good to see you again!

It's been a bit quiet over here, but that's mostly on me. I should've probably realized that, with the raye I wqs trying to pump out stories, it wouldn’t last. And it didn't, I got a bit of a writing burn-out that I'm still slowly trying to crawl out of. My biggest problem is that I either write 4000 words per day for three months straight or I don't write anything at all, so trying to find a balance in there has been hard. Took a bit of a writing break, during which I binged all of Critical Role campaign three and I'm now fully caught up. Been doing some crocheting as well, nothing too big, taking it easy. No good news on the job hunting front, though - but hey, what can you do when people turn you down because "you'd be perfect for the job if your verbal communicative skills were better" (bad paraphrase)? I’m just gonna keep trying to find something.

As for the projects, I've decided that announcing what I'm gonna be working on stuff for accountability meant putting maybe a bit too much pressure on myself that resulted in stress as I progressively couldn't keep up, so I'm not doing that anymore. Wither AU is kept mostly alive by asks and I haven't updated Fear the Wither in months, and probably won't be in the near future because of empires season 2. Tabula rasa and the Caesar House are still actively being worked on, though I may not be doing tumblr posts for Caesar House anymore (should probably make that into a separate post...). I've shelved any other story ideas I've mentioned because I know me - I want to write all the stories and I simply don't have the time and I hate not being able to show you these stories, but I can't force myself to work on them. It wouldn't be fair to you to deliver a product my heart's not in anymore.

I have seen Lizzie’s musical, it was amazing, love it! Don't really have a favorite song yet, letting that simmer in the back of my mind a bit. And I'm very excited for empires season 2, I’m sure it’ll make me hyperfixate and resurrect this blog with random snippets. Can't wait to see where people will settle, with what theme they'll go and who the new twelfth member is. It's gonna be so much fun!

Fruits Basket Manga Review , ch 111

sigh~~~ I feel that my recent posts are a bit negative towards the anime, but thats cuz the chapters I’ve read so far are either unbelievably important character depth content cut for no valid reason or content in the anime but packed with million other things that it lost its purpose or importance. Basically tohu’s ep 6 which consists of 4 chapters & now ep 5 which is a momiji ep & yup, packed with 4 chapters as well... so, I apologize for any negativity, my intention is just analyzing artistic & story-telling aspects, I love se03, but yeah it screwed up lots of important characters due to its not so thorough plot decisions & harmful character insight choices.

today.. we explore Momiji... but only before his curse breaks.

Furuba anime struggling to know how to design an episode based on various plot-heavy chapters?

so, they decided 13 eps, & decided one ep for momiji cuz motoko’s graduation & the fanclub is the core of the furuba & have already cut tons of tohru, cuz who cares? she’s kind. be like her. end of lesson. No. really, jokes aside, how to do this?

How to combine several chapters in one ep? collect small snippets from chosen chapters/content like a bee does flowers? you gotta skip some content, you gotta highlight others. The ep is only 20 min after all & you got an op & Ed that you cant always skip.... so.. furuba team decide that momoji’s ep should be true to his zodiac animal, this is the rabbits last appearance in spirit. so, they went with quick hopping from one chapter to the other like a rabbit?

No really, ep 5 is really like a rabbit in its flow, you can’t savior a moment enough before jumping to the other: we learned momiji grew up!! loves toheu romantically, challenged kyo, really meant it, wanted a fair love game, got freed, lost tohru romantically & faced momiji! but that’s not all? we still have space!! quick add akito’s moodiness & love triangle with her dog & her submissive bed partner, add a happy comedy for no reason whatever & make shigue kiss tohru & wish shes 'was his lover instead!!!!!!!!! Mind you all this happened in the anime before shigure hurt tohru with his “the truth of the zodiacs talk & them accepting & feeling consolance that kyo is doomed”talk.

-Gets whats my biggest surprise after reading this chapter ?????????

Shigure is consistent!! He isnt a rabbit hopping here & there. The dog is loyal & is tired for good reason! Him being depressed & his weird talk with thoru makes so much sense given the manga’s order.

Kyo is consistent!! In the anime, momiji surprise him with confession he loves tohru & challenge him, then kyo la~la~la~joins them downstairs for curry. Not a single expression on his face, where is the expression? it will appear when the plot is forced to address it: by the end of the ep when momiji face hin again. Then we get kyo’s reaction.

I need someone to tell the anime that actions require a reaction. You can refrain from showing a certain reaction if you can’t address it now, but you can’t erase it, negate it, then make it appear when have to!!!! couldn’t they make kyo refuse to join them & eat together? the other characters wont be surprised they think he’s needlessly moody. The audience will know that kyo is troubled with momiji’s challenged & it will excite them!!! having kyo just go eat & watch the momiji/hiro/haru/yuki comedy skit is weird.

The manga’s author wanted kyo to join the dinner, like the anime did. but huge difference. the author actually cares for logic reaction & understands that the audience aren’t dumb little kids that will sit & wait for kyo’s turn to...react! nope! she did this: (a) & (b) below.

-Lost Small Bits/ Panels from the chapter.. But Sadly Big Huge Chunks for Characters buildup & Growth:

(a) addressed the fact the hiro noticed kyoru is in love & dressed that shigure was right!! the cat being in love is a weird concept to the zodiacs! hiro reacted naturally & the author used hiro to flesh yuki’s (the rat), momiji’s (the rabbit) & haru’s (the cow) decision to silently watch the kyo (the cat) makes his own decisions to live!!! They won’t interfere or tell akito or remind him of his state as the doomed caged cat. So sad this moment is cut from yuki. Why must yuki only interact with kyo to beat him (all seasons)? why must yuki only think of kyo to envy him (all seasons) ? Here, yuki’s growth towards kyo as a person & his relationship with tohru is 1000 times better than all tohru is my mom’s sh!t & I envy kyo’s Sh!t we saw in the anime over & over till we memorized it.

(b) kyo didnt just go la~la~eat with momiji after knowing he loves tohru. Nope, there’s small bits missing: called logical emotional reaction. He was surprised he’s caught pining over tohru! cuz yuki, the audience representative, has told us in the previous chapter that ppl in love dont notice anything around them. Kyo thinks him being cold hid his feelings. the dummy’s feelings are as bright as the sun in the Sahara, tohru too. a child read her! such small thing that wont take much space from the ep but was cut cuz kyo only needs to be responsive at the ep’s end. & this scene of kyo & tohru looking awkwardly at each other is minor in space but so important cuz kyo is determined to let go but his decision is challenged by not only momiji, but his natural attraction to tohru. Here he knows he’s caught & exposed... here he knows momiji is a better choice for tohru cuz he wont didn’t hurt her mom... here he knows that even yuki is better cuz never had to pretend to be cold to her... here he knows the world is better than him... & here he just cant help by smile & walks towards her... T_T ... another lesson in writing slow burns by Takaya-san.

-Why would the anime team pass on this?? drawing kyoru closer after the epic tear in Cinderella ep, cuz they want empty suspense~! The anime team thinks that if kyo & tohru stand next to each other, then it means all their issues are solved & the audience are so stupid as to forget tohru’s mom, kyo’s imprisonment, kyo not confessing his sins to tohru & tohru’s need to make a choice wether to fogive hom or not.. nope! you see, they think, ppl who read mangas are smart, so the author can give this epic symbolism & pp would still be not sure kyoru is end game & tohru will forgive him or kyo even fogive himself, but ppl who watch, oh no, gotta cut all the plot worthy content, produce a graduation song for a minor character, cut all kyo/tohru interaction cuz it only means romance & not at all character depth & oh if we show yuki actually formulating deep thoughts that aren’t centered around him, the audience might forget his se02 struggles! or that might ruin yuki’s upcoming growth moment in the finale where he .. you guessed it hits kyo.. as he always do & sulk & think abt himself cuz yuki can only do monologues when he’s directly involved.... man~it is so sad how the anime is dumped down.. Who is the target audience again? not kids as young as hiro cuz even hiro is smart!

-just look:

Momiji talks abt kyo shouldn't give up loving tohru & the authr shows this this ghost!!! his mom! The author reminds us that kyo isnt da~~~~ forgetting anything. He’s a deeply troubled soul & hos mom wants him locked cuz she too was locked in a cage & thinks that’s safer...why oh why you dump ur own story! sh!t~

Side Notes:

I like the closeups on Kisa’s face as she interacted with kyo. It’s very rare for kisa to have a world beside the endearing parental/big protective bro/big doting sister love she has with tohru & haru & off course the romantic love with hiro which was perhaps since their birth or sth. lol. Kisa & kyo arent much on the brotherly side as they rarely interact, but its one of those refreshing interactions she has that helps cast a new light on her as tiny as it is, but its sth out of the norm around her. She sees him around tohru & gets to perceive his true unprovoked character. “He is nice guy”.

I really wanted to punch kureno this chapter.. like Shigure is a jerk shitty dog for sleeping with akito’s mom but kureno... dude.. you submissively sleep with the guy’s eternal love interest & still walks in on him talking to her!!! lol. you’re mentally, emotionally & physically weaker than him & yet, she puts you on her bed, not him & you, tho not wanting her at all, dont walk away. No wonder shigure is defeated & wishing for someone like tohru, lol! Even if shigure met an older tohru-like person, it wont work. shigure deserve someone like him mean, schemer & loves playing power games. Tohru is someone who values honesty & commutation, not saying she’s an angel on earth, but tohru knows who suits her.. except fate is saying: NO. .... currently. lol.

I know kureno’s weakness is part of his character & I love that such characters exits. There are ppl ike that in real life. It’s just this chapter, I felt shigure’s frustration. XD

Yuki in this ep is the best yuki. no exaggeration here, I love when yuki is calmly thoughtful of others & here its kyo of all ppl !!!! cutting this scene is sad.. without it, kyo & yuki remain a cat & rat in the anime. Only ever thinking abt each other thro envious binoculars or hateful words or yuki giving kyo comedic hitting or life’s problem-solving hitting. Why can’t anime yuki be interactive outside his self-centered issues is beyond me.

Momiji & kyo’s interactions are always the best! whether comedy or drama.

I hated the curry cooking scene in the anime... so weirdly out of the ep’s flow.. very forced comedy... in the manga it had a purpose! not just quick add comedy cuz next shot momiji curse breaks & drama & we’ll close the ep with tears & sadness & glimpses of hope...

I love haru’s answer to hiro... so him.. “a guy can’t fall in love?”so chill.. so..simple.

Katsuki Bakugo

Despite popular belief this boom boom boy would probably know straight away how your feeling and everything

He would probably start off not knowing what to do I mean who the hell would go to him for comfort normally

The answer is basically no one so he doesn't really know what to do everytime he's sad he just kinda sucks it up and deals with it

So don't expect him to know what to do right off the bat all he knows is he definitely doesn't like seeing you like this but he doesn't know what exactly to do so he does what he knows best, violence

He will try and hurt whatever hurt you, yes that includes things that technically can't get hurt like just life in general or school but he has good intentions I promise

After he realizes it's only making you more upset he'll try the second thing he knows how to do

"Hey dumbass I made your favorite food so stop pouting and come eat, and don't say you have I know you haven't"

Your health is so important to him and he wants to make sure your still taking care of yourself and he knows how much you love his cooking so expect him to cook for you when your not feeling like yourself

He will always be down to cuddle with you when you need it and honestly even when you don't need it

But even more when you do, he'll just hold you for hours and rub your back and try and tell you sweet things to the best of his ability which surprisingly isn't bad at all

"Hey baby I know things are hard right now but that doesn't mean that they wont be fine soon maybe not tomorrow or maybe even next month but I'll be here to help you alright dumbass" he always has this lovesick smile

And it's encouraging to him that you trust in him enough to show him your insecurities and to tell him and show him that you haven't been doing so well lately

He will always let you cry in his arms if you need to and he won't make fun of you for it after spending time with deku he understand s its important to let those emotions out(charecter development sis)

He feels lowkey privileged to be able to see the side of you that isn't happy and isn't perfect

He will read his Romance manga to you or with you when your feeling down to try and make you happier whether it's during a cuddle session or with you in his lap while hes sitting at his desk with his head on your shoulder

He's happy to make you happy and if having to show a more vulnerable side of him is makes you happy he will make that sacrifice

His main priority although is just making sure your taking care of yourself like eating,brushing your teeth and hair, and showering and if your not he will help do those things for you until you can

Hitoshi Shinso

Why tf does he look so fucking musty in all the gifs like huh?

Anyway He wouldn't know what to do either tbh he isn't really known for being exactly considerate to others feelings

But for you he tries his best it's not that he's bad with his words he's actually pretty okay at it but not really comforting words he's better at setting people off

He always wants to make sure that his words never come off condescending either as he can sound like that at times

He can always give you reassurance of you need it but unlike bakugo he won't try to solve your problems for you

He believes that everyone needs to figure out their own shit, that doesn't mean he won't be there to support you though he just wants you to be independent in a way

He let's you be down and doesn't complain since he understands that going through tough times happen to everyone and that it's best to ride out that wave and soak up that emotion

"Cry a river but don't let it drown you" type stuff he's supportive but your demons and problems are yours to fix he'll hold you If you need but when it comes down to the problem that's your problem to fix but he will be your cheerleader

"I know that things are hard kitten but just remember how amazing you'll feel when all of it is over the fact that you can endure so much in life and your still here is so important"

He wants you to know that just cause he won't solve your problems it doesn't mean he doesn't care about them he cares enough to know that he needs to let you handle some things while he's ok the side lines

But he also cares so much that he wants to fix everything for you even if in the end it won't help you very much

He just wants the best for you and sometimes it can get hard for him to do considering how important to him you are

Will happily take naps with you all day long if life has been beating you up to much and you just need some time to reenergize yourself

Life gets hard for everyone and it's not fair but he tries his best to make you forget about it but the time you have to leave his dorm

He lives for the cuddles he gets while napping and you guys do it even when your not upset about anything but they last WAY longer when your not feeling like yourself

He will also hold you for hours telling you how proud he is of you

"This week was really hard for you kitten I'm so proud that you managed to get through it and still try and be optimistic"

A lot of head kisses while napping and him with his hair down while he tries to use his words to warm your heart~

Shoto Todoroki

Okay he's so fine tho like wow😶

Okay sorry my simp side is coming out so anyway when he see's you upset expect a lot of hugs and kisses and cuddles in public

He like the others isn't very good with comforting words but more of his actions are what shows he cares, he never had anyone show him how to treat someone when they feel down so he tries to figure it out on his own

"I heard you haven't been doing well lately so um I thought maybe we could share my soba"

He will give you anything you want expect him to come to you with random gifts bought from his father's card

"I wasn't sure if you'd want this new dress or this new necklace since they both reminded me of you so I just got both"

He definitely thinks that money can fix shit which I mean it lowkey can but not in all circumstances so just like politely tell him to stop buying you expensive shit(unless you don't care)

He will gladly also cuddle you and most likely will tell you all the shit he wished his father had told him when he was younger so expect a lot of sweet words

"Hey love, your doing amazing alright don't stress out so much my love what your doing is enough"

He's surprisingly really good with his words but is always scared of saying the wrong thing so he doesn't talk much and just cuddles with you and will let you lay on either siad of him(ya know if your hot or cold)

He'll heat up his hand and rub your back or stomach since heat is known to relax people and he Hope's that he can do that for you as well

He will feed you all the fucking time I think he just finds it cute especially when your not feeling like yourself he will just baby you 100%

He's really caring and just wants to make sure your taking care of yourself and you look cute with him feeding you usually you'd sit on his lap with the food infront of you on your phone and he'd just randomly put the food infront of your mouth on a fork and wait for you to open your mouth

He finds it cute and thinks that it's his own way of say that he does care about you a lot even if he doesn't say it all the time

He will also brush your hair and braid it or just style it into anything you want he just wants you to feel relaxed with him and would do anything to make you feel better

He definitely will go and talk to his mom about what he should do and how to make you feel better and he also will probably just bring you to his mom for like a little family meet up

His mom loves you and she will always be down to see you and he knows how much you like her so he Hope's it'll boost your mood a bit and she's better with words

He absolutely adores you so he'll do whatever you need until life stops fucking with you

Winter 2021 Anime Opinions

As always its that time of the year I pretend to be an anime connoisseur and leave my review on this seasons anime so take it with a grain of salt asdfgh from the one I enjoyed the least to the most.

Wave!!: Surfing Yappe!! (TV)

You are seeing currently the only probably best thing about Wave asdfghj Tanaka bby I am SO sorry you got stuck here,,,,, Its bad because I had so many expectations for Wave but it just...... isn’t very good? The characters feel 2 dimensional, animation is veeeery average and the plot is all over the place? Dont even get me started on the Shou situation plot device that they just brushed over and went on with and,,,,,big sigh

Urasekai Picnic

To be honest is not very fair to compare this one to the rest as ive only watched the first 2 eps but ill catch up eventually asdfghj its not bad just that the plot didnt capture me as much as I hoped but the two main characters cutiess the plot just confuses me asdfgh but I don't have much to say about it

Yakusoku no Neverland 2nd Season

So uh anyways Chile I don't wanna talk about it the only reason this is not dead last is because RayEmma cute moments but yeah don't watch this clown show go read the manga for self care ✨

Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun

The only reason this is here is because she. The main girl I cant remember the name of sucks and main dude is very normal asdfgh the plot is basically “Want people to like you? change everything about yourself and become a normie robot!!!” ASDFGHJ Like its so over the top and cringe at times it becomes very confusing but hey I am not caught up either so I may change opinions (x doubt tho)

2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu

From this point onwards I basically like everything. 2.43 Started suuuuper strong for me, definitely thought it would be one of my favs this season but as the eps went by I just.... kinda lost interest asdfgh? Like its not bad, but its a sort of mix between Stars Align and Haikyuu where I would have loved a more character based story with dark subplots like Stars Align but got the parts I always criticize about Haikyuu were there was a point I didn't really knew any of the characters? ASDFGH like the enemy team is super cool and Love their designs but if you ask me to tell you anything about them I already forgot rip. Its still cute and the animation is cool but yeah it kind of disappointed me in the end a bit ;w;

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season

AOT Is so sexci because it keeps on hurting me and I come back every-time for it ASDFGHJ Not much to say that hasn't been said, characters are super interesting, plot is a bit confusing at times for me to follow but amazing and I just :))) could go on about certain characters :))))) but I wont :))))

Wonder Egg Priority

Wonder egg priority is very talked about right now so I wont get too much into it other than definitely give it a watch if you like the more philosophical and “makes you reflect on your life choices” sort of anime ASDFGHJ the visuals are stunning and the characters very well build, although I am very confused at times I am still enjoying it tons ^^ Trigger warning however for some heavy topics I recommend checking the warnings before watching it <3

Kemono Jihen

I LOVE THEM OKaY? asdfghjk Kemono Jihen gives me the found family topes and I eat them all right up, I love the characters , their designs, the plot, everything. To be fair tho, I did enjoy the manga more than the anime but maybe its a pacing thing? idk but I definitely recommend 100% taking on the manga and maybe after watch the anime but I am enjoying it tons!!

Kai Byoui Ramune

This one may come as a surprise lol?? Like I haven't seen a single soul talk about Ramune but like??? I am actually enjoying it a lot?? and look forward every week for the ep? asdfghj Like yes I will be the first to admit the animation isn't really the beeeeest out there but the plot is funny while also being serious, the characters are quirky and interesting to keep the flow going and I am liking the undertone heavy messages? the soundtrack also slaps imo and yeah I would definitely say to watch the first ep and if you like that sort of dynamic take it up on the rest!

I★Chu: Halfway Through the Idol

Okay I will be the first one to admit this is just me being trash for the idol shows but like?? its my list so I get to decide which found family I am screaming about next ASDFGHJ. As an avid A3 stan this gave me serious vibes of my boys (plus they were made form the same company so like not very surprised there loll) and like I think the characters are cute with adorable relationships and cute songs and its just a lighthearted show I sit down every Wednesday and smile through the 25 minutes so yes I Chu deserves a high spot and yes I recommend it even if it has like a 6.3 on myanimelist sksksks

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars

Look at Gen!!!! enough reasons to watch dr stone!!!! ASDFGH but in all seriousness I....... love them okAy? The plot is amazing and the characters are super entertaining (hiiii Ukyo Gen Senku and Chrome muak) and although it may seem a bit slower paced than first season the arc is gonna get better and better and the finale is gonna be great if they stick to the manga. Only sad that I dont get to see my pirate fuckboy but we better be getting a third season

Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!

when I say this is the happiness of all my Tuesdays I ain’t even exaggerating ASDFGHJ Does this have an important plot? no. Is it transcending to animation? not really. Skate-Leading☆Stars

Okaaaaay this is also me being a bitch for sports anime but like, again, are we surprised?? ASDFGHJ It may be my love for Hayato speaking but ive absolutely loves Skate Leading Stars, I love the group, the main characters, the ships, the routines and its so pretty and they are in love and like the competition and asdfgh its gOoD OKaY??? Watch it if anything for Hayato 👉🏻 👈🏻 My bastard bitch I love the gremlin.

Beastars 2nd Season

I think we are all sleeping on Beastars brushing it off as a furry show. I don’t speak enough about it and I am not one to go about poetic cinemaness on main but beastars is a very poetic cinema show and yall sleeping on it. Coming from someone who was uncomfortable at first with the whole animal relationships part at first, just know beastars is so much more than that, it has a complicated plot with critics about the society within the show with amazing characters, great soundtrack and animation plus banger plot. Pina, Jack, Juno and Legoshi best characters and every week I look forward for the next eps so I hope yall go give it some love.

SK8 The Infinity

If it wasnt clear from my spam every Saturday that I am absolutely in love with this show I dont know what to tell you ASDFGHJ. Sk8 has an amazing range of characters I find fascinating, specially Reki, very much so everything Reki asdfgh but yeah!! Its super entertaining with an interesting plot and its definetely becoming one of my favorite animes because the amount of times ive rewatched the episodes to cope is kind of embarrassing lmaooo, definetely give it a try although I understand its not for everyone but like,,,,, do it for Reki? 🤧👉🏻👈🏻

Book about legends

As all lessons were over, students rushed away from school wherever they can: back home, to the cafe or restaurant or just meet with friends. Depending on what lesson was the last, students can get out still energetic or super exhausted. In our group’s case the literature was the last lesson, and the hometask they received was not something everyone would like - an essay writing of the book they have read.

Pierce: Ugh, I hate writing this shit. Not only I’m not that big fan of reading, but also the books I read are not suitable for the school program!

Elza; By books you mean comics?

Pierce: They have cool and epic pictures on them.

Hugo: It’s true, but books are cool to read too. Tho I can agree that sometimes school program has a “weird” collection of books.

Pierce: That’s true.

Monika: Good thing is that Mr. McKelin said that we can choose any book for this task as long as it’s appropriate for the theme “myths and legends”.

April: Yep, it can be different kinds of them. Do urban legends count?

Elza: No, they’re usually spoken by people who either like to cause panic or by adults that try to teach kids not to stay late outside. Even if they were in written form, it’s mostly on newspaper articles.

Pierce: But doesn’t it give kids more curiousity? Like wouldn’t they like to go and investigate if it’s true?

Elza: Even if I was super duper curious, I would not dare to take a step on dirty and stinky places.

Hugo: Knowing how you care about your beauty so much, I would not be surpirsed~

Elza’s expression changed to disgusting one, which made the group giggle a bit. While they were walking along the street back to their homes, April noticed a little bookshop that was opened recently. On the shelves a couple of books stood with various themes and genres.

April: Hey, I haven’t seen this shop before. Did it open recently?

Monika: Couple of days ago, if I remember. You want to check it out?

April: Well, yeah, if it’s okay for you, guys.

Hugo: No problem at all. We can also see if there is anything interesting for us to buy and read. Who knows, maybe they have what we need.

Pierce: Hope the books there are not super boring.

Elza: Maybe kids books are good for you~

Pierce: Hey!

She giggled as the group entered the shop. The aesthetic of this place reminded them of an old library at school, or rather its archive room, just more clean and nicer. Seemed like the owner cared about their workplace, even the books were in order, not mixed in a rush, like with magazines that students take and just throw back at its place after they’re finished reading it. As it was a new place, there were not so many books to look at, no matter how interesting and intriguing the titles and description were.

The shop owner: Welcome to the “Sharp Feather pen”. How can I help you?

Hugo: Hello, we would like some books with different myths and legends. Preferably in a form of collection.

The shop owner: Okay, let me see if we have them.

The owner went to the backroom to check on books. While April and Hugo waited for the owner, Pierce, Elza and Monika were walking around, admiring the place. Their eyes sparkeld with excitement, couldn’t lock on something one to read.

Monika: They even have mangas here? That’s a surpirse. It’s mostly in big supermarkets.

Pierce: I know, right? Better remember this place to go after school.

Elza didn’t say anything wile observing what magazines they had for this moment. Couple of minutes later, the owner came back with the stack of books, one of them tho was moved away from the stack.

The shop owner: Here you go, take your time and ring the bell once you’ve chosen the one you need.

April: Thank you so much.

When the owner went back to his business, Hugo and April began to look through the books.

Hugo: Shall we call others?

April: Let’s look at them first, then we can ask their opinion about it.

Hugo: Fair enough. Okay, let’s see....Ancient East Legends....Greek mythology.....I like greek mythology, actually. They can be hilarious sometimes.

April: Really? I thought they’re more bloody and stuff.

Hugo: True, but there are some of them that logically doesn’t have any sense, but as a myth it can work, because at that time how would you prove that it was real?

April: Yeah, you’re right. Wait...Hugo, check this out.

She pulls out a book, covered with gothic symbols and text that seemed like written in ancient latin. The color signaled the group that the content of it can be not for sensitive people, and the smell was so edgy like it was lying in the basement for centuries, if not more.

Hugo: What the hell? How did it get here?

April: I don’t know. It looks like it should be belong to the museum or something.

Hugo: Can you read what it says?

April: It looks like ancient latin.

Hugo: Spooky. Maybe we should call others.

While they were examine this book, Monika, Pierce and Elza joined them.

Elza: Hey, guys, what did you fi- What the hell is that smell??

Monika: Smells like someone hasn’t cleaned its house since middle ages.

Pierce: Ewww, how can they sell something like this??

The shop owner: Oh, excuse me, it’s my bad, i will remove it quickly.

Hugo: Wait, hold on. We would like to know more about this book, if it’s okay.

April: Do you know where did you get it? Or better how did it get here? Was it from the museum? Do you know the author of this book? What is written in it?

The shop owner: I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you much about it. We got it recently, so we don’t know much, nor who wrote it. The boss just said to sell them all and that’s it. I tried to suggest it to other customers, but everytime I do, visitors will say that it gives them “anxious vibes” or”vibes of a curse”. The smell doesn’t help it, but I didn’t want to water the pages, so I left it like this. I also can’t tell the content of it as I don’t understand the language of the cover.

Elza: I see....Let me read it.

She grabs the book, shivering a bit from the touch of it as the smell made her feel sick. Everyone were so surpirsed as they were sure she is one of those, who can’t learn even the basic words of different languages. Putting herself together, she managed to read the title and the description.

Elza: “Legends of Okarinas and Feritas, angels and demons. The truth hidden by the blind eye. Something that even God himself won’t tell. Only those who are determined, the pages of this book will be open to you”.

April: Uuuuuhhhh, why does it sound so spooky? Like indeed a curse or something.

Pierce: You can read Latin???

Elza: Hey, I’m not super knowledgeable at it, just some words were familiar. Besides, my mother is a doctor, so thanks to her “boring” books I could learn some stuff.

Monika: Oh, right, I forgot about that.

Elza opened the book to look at the pages while April was holding Hugo’s arm and Pierce was close to Monika. The shop owner got anxious too after hearing the title and description.

Elza: Surprisingly there is a Latin text and the translation to English. Good to know. Hmm....there are mostly legends about some angels and demons.

Hugo: Really? Weren’t they written in a bible or something?

Elza: Here is a different version of story telling, like another point of view.

She read more, until the title of one legend stopped her. Her eyes were wide from the surprise, which made the group to take a pick of what she saw. The shop owner also looked at the page too.

Elza: “Divine War”? I haven’t heard about it before. Neither before our new teacher appeared, nor after.

April: Is it the one where it tells about the fall of the archangel Lucifer?

Monika: Could be, but there would be another title for it, I think.

Elza: Yes, plus check this out: “And the world was covered in darkness, accompanied by scarlet clouds and bloody rains. Sounds of blades could be heard from the sky, screams of agony echoed in any corner of the planet, skulls of millions of people could be visible on the mountain, almost covering it, or even being like the one. Until suddenly, the curtain of clouds opened and in front of humanity stood the creation of chaos and violence - red wing angel called Nephilim”.

Everyone felt the cold running on their spines, leaning close to each other in fear, trembling. Elza, noticing how everyone were scared, quickly closed the book before taking a breath.

The shop owner: What the hell is this book??? I know that legends can be scary, but that much??? Good that I didn’t put the price on it!!

April: I’m more wonder who this Nephilim is. In my family we sure heard about angels and demons and stuff, but more basic.

Monika: I have read once that it’s a child of human and angel. In more modern variant, a child of angel and demon.

Pierce: Wait, for real??? Aren’t they like....against each other?

Hugo: Well firstly, there is no prove yet that they exist. Second, it’s all just myths and legends, which can’t be proved now. I suggest to calm down and think about it as a scary story for camping.

April: You’re right, but....I have a feeling that it somehow can be real.

Elza: I’m with Hugo, let’s not overthink about it. We’re here to choose the book for our essays, right?

Pierce: Hmmm, you’re right. Tho after that paragraph you read, I...kinda want to know more.

Monika: Are you serious??? You’re usually scared of that shit.

Pierce: And it’s still true, but here I feel like.... to write my own opinion and view on it. Besides, it’s something that I’m sure no one has ever come across, so we can probably even get higher marks for our essays.

Everyone looked at each other with concern, tho admited that Pierce had a point. Anyone can write about other countries mythologies and legends, but here it was something different, something...unknown. Elza looked at the owner.

Elza: Sir, we decided to take this book. How much is-

The shop owner: I-I-It’s free. No need to p-p-pay anything. Just take it. Please.

His voice trembled as he quickly went to his room with the rest of the books to put back on their places. Students were surprised by such sudden action, but decided not to go further and left the shop. On their way home they couldn’t stop thinking about what happened. No one dared to speak untill the reached to Elza’s house. Seeing how anxious others were, Elza came up with a suggestion.

Elza: My parents will be very late at work, so we can have a sleepover at my home.

Monika: Are you sure? Your parents are usually against it.

Elza: It’s only when they’re not that tired and can be a pain in the ass. When they’re exhausted and just want to rest, they can be kind to it. Don’t worry, I will warn them.

Hugo: We don’t want to cause you trouble like this all of a sudden.

Elza: Relax, it’s just for one night. Besides, preparing essays together is more fun than alone. And less scary.

Pierce: Yeah, you’re right. Well, if you say that you’re okay with it.

Elza: Just don’t cause a mess there. Especially you, Pierce.

The boy gave a shocked face, which made everyone laugh for a moment before they enter Elza’s home. Even tho it was not scary when doing stuff together, no one can hide from the nightmares.

When they were born, he'd spend hours in their room after you went to sleep

Since he's a pro volleyball player, he wouldn't be able to spend as much time as he'd actually like with them so that's why he'd stay up late just in their room

If they ever start crying in the middle of the night, he'd immediately let you go back to sleep and he'd take care of it !!

He thinks it's fair because you take care of them so much when he's away for games and you also birthed them so like

Whenever he's home, you don't have to do half of the things you normally do

As the twins grow older, you start bringing them to his games and he's like "!!!" cause they're his pride and joy 🥺🥺🥺

He'd show them off to his teammates after the game

Aran would be like "Look!! Here are my two angels who are nothing like the Miyas 🥰🥰"

Atsumu meeting them at MSBY vs Red Falcons cause you had time off from work and the twins wanted to go

The twins knowing what their dad has said about Atsumu and being like "👁️👄👁️ my dad says you're rude" and he just *clenches heart* cause its so cute yet so sad

CAUSE LIKE yeah they're insulting him but the look on their faces is just... so cute

Actually Atsumu's a lot better than he was in high school as an adult so they do warm up to him, sadly 😔

Aran is definitely the type of guy you see in public with his kids and immediately go like "wow, he's definitely a great father" because he just radiates that energy

He never yells too much at his kids and always talks things out maturely with them and its 🥺🥺

He tries not to spoil them too much but definitely does on accident CJWJCIE

They'll come back from the store and you'll see toys in their hands and you just give him one look and he's like

But he won't spoil them to the point of them becoming obnoxious!! he knows the limits and has set them !!

When you were pregnant, he was literally so helpful and you just... hardly had to do anything

He wasn't as strict with making you do LITERALLY nothing like Sakusa, but he definitely tried to do everything he could

Absolutely no!! carrying of anything!!

He's a strong volleyball player who was one of the best back in high school-- he refuses to let his wife carry anything !!

All in all, Aran would be the best dad of haikyuu and i would write more but that would be too long

I’m so so SO glad you’re liking it!!!!!! It can get kinda heavy but it’s such a great story.... honestly I’d been wanting to start it since I saw the first pv for the anime all the way back last year but I was like, you know it’s a mappa anime! so I wanted to watch the anime as a new thing, cause I love mappa, but three episodes in I couldn’t hold back and just binged it. It’s kind of story that just makes you wanna drink it all in one go, isn’t it? so good so good

That’s been my headcanon for a while now, actually!! His death just, I don't know. It really did hurt. When he thought about all the books he bought and didn't read?? that hit so close to home. how many books did I buy but I never read?? That line made him so painfully human and tears. I'm in tears.

Another death that hit me hard was Junpei's. I think it was the fact that he could've been okay but wasn't. His friendship with Yuuji, the idea that maybe he could've joined the main 3 and be supported by Gojo in a Gojo way? I even read some hc that talked about a mentor!Nanami/mentee!Junpei relationship. And Ig I understand that idea that not everyone can be saved but I so desperately wanted him to be saved. He lived such a shitty life and then he got this? when things started to look ok, that they could get better he just- It makes me angry and sad :)

What I'm about to say is probably biased as fuck, but I genuinely dislike Sukuna. Idc. Modern AU/fanon Sukuna is fine and the way people write him as Yuuji's brother is cute sometimes. Canon Sukuna tho? I despise that bitch. I feel so much hatred for him you don't even know. Nanako and Mimiko's death hit me out of nowhere when I was reading bits of the manga. I was so angry, I wanted to punch a wall.

ngl i wasn't as affected by junpei's death. it seemed so... set up? probably cause i read the manga before the anime and didn't get fooled by the opening, but i knew junpei would die eventually. i didn't feel much connection to him whatsoever, he was okay but definitely had more space to grow. he was a wasted potential, and that's exactly how he was supposed to be seen as. i really liked the scene where ijichi lets itadori go to save junpei, i found that scene so well made and choreographed. reminds you a little of geto, eh?

the manga is good, i enjoyed the anime, not a huge fan. my friend says the next arcs are pretty solid, i only finished this season's arc. i should continue lol. the style is pretty... original. idk it's a solid 7 i would say so far
