i think a lot of the people coming on here to complain about other peoples opinions need to take a deep breath. you don't have to agree with them. but bashing people in the tags, anonymously sending in that someone's opinion on a fucking rpg maker game that, at its core, is a massive shitpost.

Im going to be completely honest,

He hated you at first

He is really not fond of the fatui

And his hatred only grew more when Childe had tried to take Rex Lapis's gnosis

Not only did he seek his archons value and try taking it by force, but he had hurt the traveler as well.

Yes, he did later find out that Zhongli had meant to give it to La Signora, a fatui harbinger

But that still made Xiao hate Childe for his absurd actions

He was certainly weary of you

He first noticed your bubbly acts

He thought it was just to make him let his guard down

But then you had helped him conquer demons

He then realized that you being overly nice, was not an act.

He had loosened around you

It wasn't like he liked you and was now being nice to you

It was more like you went from 'hate' to 'dislike'

He did grow use to you being around

Because of your strong determination to show him that you really wont going to use him or do anything bad, you stuck around him

Being overly nice to him

I mean, just because your a fatui harbinger doesn't mean you can't be nice

But you being friendly doesn't mean your naive either.

He honestly finds it weird when you're not around

Since you're stuck on him like glue 24/7

Showing him things, hanging out and what not

The day he realized he yearned for you was days after you had given him your favorite flower

A pink blush spread across his cheeks.

You pulled him to a nearby pond to have him look at himself

He was honestly too stunned to protest

There was no bad intentions behind them, but he kept cautious

Before he knew it, his eyes usually searched for you

Getting to the place you guys hang out at before you do

And you're usually first.

He expected you to act like a snake, nice with bad intentions behind that mask, an overly confident person, a cruel person.

You were neither of those, which made him warm up to you quickly.

Yes, it was naive of him to warm up to you so quickly just because you acted friendly, but if you really had a trick up your sleeve, you wouldve pulled it early.

He would ask questions about you being a fatui harbinger though, since your friendliness didn't add up.

"Why did you become a fatui harbinger?"

"My childhood best friend, Childe, wanted to join the fatui, but i would have to lose him in the process. So I joined him."

He does get that, but he thinks being a fatui harbinger doesn't suit you all that well.

Well, except your strength, but otherwise no.

You're probably the only true nice one there!

And he was right.

Everyone was a two-faced piece of shi well, except Childe.

He became quite protective of you, because of your kindness.

Though, you didn't need it.

He clung onto you like a leech.

He had fallen in love with you hard in the process of protecting you, but so did you

His caring, protective side caused a spark within you

He was always flirting with you, but when you tried to flirt with him as well to give him a hint

He didn't get it.

So you waited for him to keep flirting, maybe go over bored and then you'd make a move

"Psh, I'd be the better kisser anyways,"

You quirked an eye brow at him

"Oh, really? Then, why don't we test that theory?"

You don't even give him time to process what you had said before your lips on him

Zhongli met you through your childhood best friend, Childe.

There you were, running away from the mini shop you were checking out.

"Zhongli, the man who milks you for mora?"

Your laugh is what keeps Zhongli from sending his rock down onto Childe.

You two started to chat, and Childe left you two to be.

Zhongli had grown fond of you very quickly

Your friendly persona is something he finds himself loving

You're the type of person he can go to have a nice chat

And that's how he found his eyes wandering for you everywhere

He didn't know if it was for a good, nice chat or just an excuse to see you again

All he knew was that both were pleasant

You two both grew closer to each other every time you guys saw each other

He started to imagine you both together, and it confused him.

He was an archon. You were a fatui harbinger.

Why was he thinking about such things?

And in all honestly, you felt the same way about Zhongli

You noticed his slightly nervous acts around you

It had made you upset.

Did he feel uncomfortable towards you?

So, you asked him out to dinner.

He hesitated, but complied.

Lets play it out,

Your arms laid limp on the thin railing, while you snuck glances at the old archon

"Do i make you uncomfortable?"

His mouth parted, and he let his gaze fall upon you.

Make him uncomfortable? More-so you make him happy, and feel many positive emotions.

"No, not in the slightest. Has that been on your mind this whole time?"

You slowly nodded

Guilt had taken over his heart

"I deeply apologize if it seemed that way. It really isn't."

He placed his clothed hand over yours, as the warming gesture made it into your stomach

"Then what do you feel, about me?"

He averted his stare from yours.

"What i feel is that you somehow make me feel warm, happy and relaxed. You are the highlight of my days."

Your lips slightly twitched up into a smile

"Charmer..."

He let out a chuckle

He stood there, as you let your head rest on his shoulder.

GOROU

He did not like you at first.

No, not at all.

He didn't trust you.

Whenever his tail was wagging and he saw you, it would stop instantly.

His ears would flop down

And honestly, this made you upset

"Gorou, was there something i did wrong?"

He huffed.

"You're a fatui harbinger. You should know."

You hung around him, mostly to make things right

He would always purposely loose you everyday

Until, he saw you with the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi island, Kokomi

And for the first time ever he felt bad, and for you?

After you were done talking to her, you laid eyes on him and held a sad expression on your face

He had never realized how beautiful you were in that moment

Just a few minutes after you had left, Kokomi had called him in

"Why have you been treating [Name] in such a way, general?"

He was speechless. Your ass just snitched on him!

"They are a fatui harbinger. We cant "

"We?" Kokomi raised her eyebrows. "You, you mean. There is no 'we,' I trust them, and I expect the same amount of trust and respect I give to them coming from you when talking or even going near them, Gorou."

He nodded and cleared his throat.

"Yes, Divine preistess."

She sighed, "just dont be...how you've been around them. Ease up a bit, okay?"

He nodded once again.

The next time he saw you was when he approached you, which surprised you because he never does so.

"Is there something wrong, Gorou?"

He shook his head.

"I want to apologize for how i acted and treated you."

You hummed, but you were not ready for the next words to come out of his mouth.

"Lets be friends,"

Your eyes ad slightly widen and you looked at him with shock plastered on your face.

"If If you want to, of course "

"I'd love too."

You cut him off, as a dopey smile over took his lips

"Gre great!"

After the apology, you two hung out more

He actually enjoyed hanging out with you

And you've always enjoyed it

He started to look forward to seeing you more

A lot so that his tail began wagging whenever he saw you

His ears perked up upon hearing you

He had started getting warm around you, maybe more than warm

Even the Divine Priestess, Kokomi had noticed

You, of course, felt the same way about Gorou

You had found it cute at his reactions, especially whenever you patted his head

And one day, you were patching up his wound

He had just come from defending the Watatsumi army

He hissed, as you applied pressure to the bandaid

"Shh," you cooed

"Sorry..." He whimpered out

He laid his head on your shoulder after you were done taking care of his wound the best you could.

He stared into your [eye colored] hues, bathing himself in them.

He leaned forward, slightly startling you

He placed his forehead against yours.

And you happily reciprocated.

this post about lesbian divas rlly delighted me. it's fun to see this niche topic talked about and expanded on with lots of examples. soooo i compiled all the responses as of 21/09/23 10:30pm EST and put them in a spreadsheet. then ranked them by how much of a diva i consider them lol

first off, the general list. i found 152 unique responses in the replies, tags, and comments. some were only first names so i didnt bother researching into who the poster was talking about. images for ease of viewing:

second... what is a diva?? clarifying where im coming from is important to understand my upcoming opinions. i should make clear that im talking about DIVAS as in DIVA WORSHIP as in LIZA MINNELLI-BARBRA STREISAND-BETTE DAVIS-LADY GAGA etcetera. dykes can see these female celebs as divas as well, but what the original post touches on is the male diva.

this rthko ask explains the diva well. you should also take a look at scholarly articles and books -- divas have been a part of recorded gay culture and esp gay male culture and drag queen culture forever -- the term isnt concrete. rthko says that "there's no real formula" but lists these typical features of a diva:

larger than life -- glam, humor, charisma? would a drag queen impersonate them?

theatrical / proximity to theatre

sexy / horny -- rthko notes here that these arent requirements, citing liza's lack of sexual overtness

strength

niche -- can be popular but not a general crowd-pleaser

gay rights supporter -- before it was cool

now rthko is talking about female divas, even noting the blind spot for bi/lesbian fans and artists. i say you can apply the same features to male celebrities to identify the male divas dykes idolize. i should note that some of the ppl on the list are women or genderqueer. so the list is not entirely male.

another note: im putting so much emphasis on DIVAHOOD because it's SUCH a specific term. not all icons, "weird little guys", "blorbos" are divas. one thing rthko doesn't touch on is how a diva often has a strong sense of self that the devotee can identify and want to emulate -- at the xtreme, leads to drag art. if they dont inspire and amaze, then are they a diva?

lets get into part 3: which of these 152 people / concepts / groups are honest to god divas? you can argue they're all Icons to some extent (the bare minimum being having a lesbian fanbase) but do they have what rthko and i (and gay culture researchers) consider to be the features of a diva?

first thing i did identify those i both recognized and "saw divahood within". ended up with 44:

then i shrunk down the list even further to 18 (again, pure opinion):

then i ranked the 44 more methodically by mapping out the 7 features of the diva:

several important notes:

this ranking is not definite -- though i tried to be fair, considering the limits to what i know, it is subjective

i dont know the histories of some of these people, so i may be missing some things. an inverse example: i know far too much about gerard way, so i had a good idea of how he fit into each feature

some of these i couldnt decide whether i should check or not. al pacino i was esp worried about... couldnt justify checking those boxes the way i can for other people

either way, my findings yielded interesting results! 3 of the most commonly talked about singer-songwriters (bruce, bob, johnny) ranked low. this may indicate that there's other features to the male diva that arent specified or dont apply to females divas / gay male devotees. perhaps defined gender expression, or “voice for lesbians”, or something else.

all of the people with a score of 4 or more can be emulated. "sex" (meaning overt sexuality) is the least common feature, after "theatrical".

though anyone can be a diva to anyone, there's a certain "canon" of who is a diva in gay circles. liza barbra bette gaga. this messy qualitative approach is an attempt to figure that out for dyke divas. i would love to talk about it more.

Hi... uhm... I ask here for a little help... I literaly didnt realize this until yesterday when it hit me like a ton of bricks and right now Im a bit confused as to WHAT I am.

A guy in a class likes me, but I dont like him back, and I suddenly realize the thought kinda made me uncomfortable. Which I found weird because I always thought I wanted a romantic relationship but then suddenly thought "DO I? Or do I only like the IDEA of it?".

Ive confirmed that Im Aegosexual, so that part of me is clear just took a while but I have no doubt.

But the romantic part is where I have doubts. I did a little research but Im not really sure if Im demiromantic, cupioromantic or aegoromatic. Or if Im aromantic at all...

I-I dont know... was the guy just not my type? In my life Ive literally had only 4 crushes, and Im almost in my 30s, but I think ive always liked the idea of love. To support and be supported by someone, to take care of them... but... I dont know if the part of the romatic attraction was THERE... so... Im... confused... AM I aromantic? Am I? ... Im not sure...

I can't tell you with any certainty what your identity is. However, having only 4 crushes by your late 20s sounds very unusual for an alloromantic individual not in long, committed relationships during that time. I think you'd likely benefit from checking out the tag "am i aro" on this blog and seeing how others began to notice/identify as aromantic. It is possible that this guy just wasn't your type - but the degree to which you are questioning makes me inclined to suspect you're somewhere in the aromantic spectrum.

This may make your questioning more complicated, but I also think it is worth understanding amatonormativity and how you may experience it. It may also be worth investigating queerplatonic relationships and attraction, and listening to people who talk about their experiences with such. One great website to look at for more established terms in the aro community is AUREA and their glossary. I'd advise caution if you use the LGBTQIA fandom wikia, as that was devastated by an aphobic fandom wikia developer less than a year ago, iirc. It may be recovering, but there at least was someone who had the power to delete and change things with malice.

This October (2023) I'm doing Girl Month! And I thought tumblr might appreciate the content lol.

Im a cis-ish het-ish guy and I'm taking this opportunity to experiment with my gender and also just have some fun! Actually to be more specific I have a couple of goals:

Work out if I'm trans! I mostly think im not, but sometimes I wonder...

A friend who will remain anonymous highly recommended the nipple sensitivity you can get from E, and that actually sounds so much fun

Girls are hot. Ergo, being a girl is hot.

F1nn5ster is controversial, for both valid and invalid reasons imo, but all I know is that when I watch clips of him and his GF i'm like "damn that guys living the dream"

The Parameters:

For the duration of October I will go by a girl name, either "October" or "Charlotte" and She/Her pronouns.

while you're here, why don't i introduce myself? you can call me panko or sharky, either's fine. im a transmasc gay dude whose gender is best described as a png of a shark - my preferred pronouns are he/they. also im 17 years old.

one of my big goals in life is to tell silly stories in cartoon format. for now, i just have these 3 oc worlds i play around with like plushies on my bed:

Boardwalk of Beasts - the big one which i want to turn into a tv show. i unfortunately haven't touched it in a while haha

Gang's Bay - SUPER self-indulgent, basically a weird sitcom in my head. you can read about it here

Give Me Vertigo - a fun genre-hopping story i plan to tell sooner rather than later. story is VERY much a WIP but it might be an interactive blog thing idk yet

fair warning, some of the things i post aren't very kid-friendly. if my blog were a tv show, i'd rate it TV-14 for strong language, sexual references, and depictions of drugs and alcohol. if you're not into that stuff, or under 14-16, i'd advise you to keep your distance.

i do indeed post a lot of art, though mostly just rough doodles or joke drawings. i make both oc art and fanart, and the occasional animatic.

i LOVE sharks, and marine bio in general, and just about anything to do with the water. definitely a huge non-media side interest of mine

also i will never be normal about the music i listen to. im an alt-rock junkie and my favorite bands as of now are incubus and pearl jam (i listen to one band's music exclusively for months at a time.)

some past fixations of mine are invader zim, corner gas and milo murphy's law. not in that order. im highly likely to post about those as well as splatoon. feel like i might be forgetting something but idk

you may find me hanging out in the live chat of failboat's streams as one of his chat mods. i've been in the community for about 6 years running (6 years too long if you ask anyone normal). i also draw him SO much in my funny cartoony way that looks a lot like him but also not at all.

when im not posting about any of the stuff listed above, i just ramble. it's probably annoying but hey if you're following me that's what you get lol

Newt:

1: What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do? A long, long time. Newt spent most of her life alone in a swamp so she's used to a lot of downtime.

11: How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)? She mostly just stays quiet and hopes/assumes another party member understands. Either that or she'll ask for clarification (usually this is for when i, as her player, is also confused KJFDSS)

16: What makes their stomach turn? Losing or letting her friends down. The thought that something is happening that she doesn't understand [this is currently happening in the campaign shes in lol]. Worrying that her god will abandon her and she won't have the magic she needs to protect her friends anymore.

Vince:

15: How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? She usually says what's on her mind unless she feels like its Personal or Compromising. She makes an effort to put off a confident, snarky, mysterious vibe but is pretty guarded when it comes to her own feelings.

22: How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)? Badly. Especially early on in the story, he can act pretty impulsively when he feels jealous or threatened and can end up hurting someone either by lashing out verbally or physically injuring or even killing someone. He gets a LOT better at this later though. He's still got issues but he's working on it :)

23: How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)? Similar to prev. It starts out as a villain in the story before it gets redeemed. It takes what it wants without any consideration for the people it hurts in the beginning and it does deal with a lot of resentment in its plot arc. but it gets better at dealing with that and its own emotions. eventually.

27: What causes them to feel dread? Her sire (she's a vamp, her sire is Awful and the main reason she is Like That in the beginning) and the thought of having to feel the guilt over the bad things shes done. It takes her a While to be able to let those emotions back in bc she dreads having to feel the remorse. She also has a lot of dread around losing people she cares about.

Jamie:

30: Who do they most regret meeting? GOD THIS IS A HARD ONE. He has a professor that kinda kicks the whole story off by introducing him to the supernatural world. Even though they are a big mentor figure to Jamie, i think he really regrets meeting them sometimes because it completely changed the trajectory of his life. He is now in infinitely more danger and has horrible, painful visions that drive the story. It's not what he expected his life to be like.

31: Who are they the most glad to have met? Yknow what it may be the same person. He has very complicated feelings about the prof. Otherwise probably Marcos :-) They're a really good friend to him and have stuck with him through it all. Also much later the answer might be Vince! She's kinda the worst to start with but post-redemption they eventually get together and vince eventually kinda becomes a weird wife guy :-) they love each other <3

34: How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt? Very, very difficult. He blames himeself for a lot of things, even things that are definitely not his fault. Somebody needs to get this guy a therapist.
