Having thoughts, TLDR; explaining that Practicing Gratitude is just about learning to notice good things and retraining your brains focus area would be more helpful than simply saying "be grateful!"

I think a lot of the issue people have with being told to try like, gratitude journaling is that when people suggest it they never seem to give a good explanation?? Added to the fact that "self-care" and therapy terminology have been monetized, social media focuses on people's sanitized life highlight reels, and hashtag blessed out-of-touch influencers, and the frankly irritating Pinterest Perfect quotes and journals. I mean. There's just a ton to sort through there.

And like I've tried the gratitude thing!! And I know it's backed up by research!! But when you're in the depths and someone says something about being grateful, it is SO hard not to hear all the echos of "be grateful it's not worse", and the past shame of being cast in the light of "so ungrateful" when you're just having feelings and being upset about something, ya know?

But it finally clicked for me when I stopped using gratefulness language?? Because I also feel like that can be limiting, at least for me. The POINT of the whole exercise is to train your brain to notice good things around you, because obvs ur gonna be in a bad mood if all you notice is the bad!

Obvs it's taken a lot of work in a lot of areas to be at the point where I am, that life feels worth living more than not! But like, the more little good things you notice, the more it feels worth living. But like the gratitude language like I said just doesn't work for me lol

Especially like, the other day driving through the neighborhood I saw a woman going for a run, and she looked like she was struggling but also so determined!! And that was something that made me feel !!!!!! Like life is worth living and trying for!!

She's someone I've never met and may never see again, but seeing her living her life and trying made me want to keep trying too!

So for me trying to put that into a sentence for gratitude, it just takes the joy out I guess haha. "I'm grateful random neighbor was jogging"?? "I'm grateful I saw my neighbor jogging"???? It doesn't quite translate for me. But I could see it and focus on that feeling of fondness for a stranger, and inspiration to keep trying and that not everything is terrible all the time. Consciously focusing on something like that and letting it take up a big part of your day the way something bad might usually can feel really weird at first, but it's so nice once you lean into it??

With your interviews coming up and you being busy with practicing, Sukuna started to miss you, as much as the grump wanted to barge into your room and tackle you to the floor for attention, he knew the mature thing to do is to let you be, and provide any help he can. So here he was making lunch for you.

Your eyes nearly popped out of your sockets as you watched the man make lunch for you. You were definitely surprised.

Watching the big scarily sexy, pink haired man flexing his muscular broad shoulders as he cuts the onions, wearing nothing more than an apron is not for the weak either.

“Wow I didn’t know you knew how to cook!” You teased him as you walked into the kitchen, knowing damn well he can.

He side glares at you before speaking “I WILL hit you with this pan right now” he says very casually.

You laugh at his impatience, and stand behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist, stifling a laugh as you feel him slightly lean back into your embrace.

“Thank you for making lunch ‘kuna” you say gratefully into his muscular back. He hums in response, before replying.

“Make you lunch, drive you to campus, guess I’m just your personal slave yeah doll?”

“My favourite slave if that makes you feel any better” you reply.

But instead of responding, he leans further back into your embrace, but this time he puts all his heavy weight on to you, making you seconds away from being crushed by the big beefy thug.

“Ah!! Sukuna! You’re gonna crush me you big buffalo!” You complain, eliciting an evil laugh from the man, who found your tiny body trying to fight him off hilarious. “That’s the plan” he chuckles, without taking his eyes off the garlic bread he was cutting up. “Moveeee” you angrily muffle against his back which was pressed into your face.

He finally moves once he was satisfied. He smiles charmingly as you glare at him, and reaches out to pinch your cheeks, further making your cheeks puff in annoyance.

“How dare you try to crush me! I-“ your sentence is cut off as Sukuna feeds you some of the garlic bread, effectively shutting you up. “Taste good little one?” He asks as he turns back to frying the chicken. “Yup” you say with a nod.

He looks at you momentarily before speaking, “God, you’re like a baby, gotta give you food to keep you quiet”

You laugh before teasing the pink haired man. “Well that’s because I am your baby” you say with a flirty smile.

You watch him smirk as he turns off the heat, and faces you. “Oh yeah?” He says with an amused raised eyebrow.

“Yeah”

He chuckles before grabbing you and picking you up to place you on the counter top. “Pretty baby aren’t you?” He says as he inches closer to your lips. “Yep” you reply again. He grins ear to ear before grabbing the back of your neck and pulling you in for a rough kiss.

You can’t help but smile as you kiss him back. “Finally giving me some attention you brat” he says as you pull away.

“You always have my attention you meanie” you say with a sweet smile.

I actually have an ongoing fic with Buggy as non-human and him and Shanks being brothers and just- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa BRAINROT OKAY

My favorite concept is making Buggy a type of faery. My fic specifically has him as a Harlequinn, solely bc it FIT and I am feral for clown/jesters/etc. I can go into detail if you want, but I don't wanna clog this one

But like.

Buggy is the ONLY person in One Piece with a nose like his. He's hyperaware of that, and it's his biggest visible insecurity. He loves shiny things, treasures, gold, etc. His luck stats are either MAXED OUT or in the NEGATIVES. He is so good at manipulating people ((silver tongue)), and his specialty is smoke and mirrors, enthralling the masses, and he only gets involved when either A) he HAS to, or B) he has reason to protect/claim something. He's an observer most of the time, and he facilitates observation in others as well. And don't get me started by the lure and draw he gives to others to his space, his territory, full of Power, Fortune, Whimsy and Joy. Gods. He's so fascinating I wanna study him under a microscope, wanna put him in Situations ♡♡♡

MOVING ALONG~

Boa+Buggy+Alvida hours

The only thing I think might be rocky is Alvida and Hancock butting heads over beauty, but honestly? I think once they warm up to each other, Hancock would actually be really relieved to not be called the cutest or hottest in the room. I also think the three would be each other's biggest hype sources ((but also refreshingly, brutally honest)).

Personally? I think Buggy might actually be immune to Hancock. When he saw Alvida, he had a passing thought of "Oh, pretty, anyway-" so maybe in Canon he'd also become stone but imagine how funny it out be if she tried stoning him, it didn't work OR he split apart and it only worked a little. Now she is BAMBOOZLED.

Like.... "why didn't this work? What are you, clown? Explain yourself!!"

"..... I mean. You're cute, I guess???? But girl that lip tint is not your palette-"

Are the others just THAT delusional??? What is the truth?????

But yeah I have so many Boa+Buggy+Vida concepts and it is. So much. All the brainrot. I love the dumb little clown dude and his army of simps and girlboss besties

Rafayel hadn’t ever really thought about the acoustics of his bedroom when he first moved in, but those lofty ceilings ended up being one of his favourite things about that room for some reason 😌

I think he does mention not normally doing portraits at some point, so yes very abstract!! Although I bet the titles of those works are full of double entendres or innuendos that you might only pickup if you’re already in the know about his inspo 👀 or of course if Raf decides today is the day he will finally discuss his art with potential buyers… Thomas (bless his heart) doesn’t let Rafayel talk about those particular pieces any more after the mayor’s wife dropped her champagne when he told her about what exactly inspired “Glistening Depths” (or some other equally implicating name)… what a shame 😔

Episode 6 thoughts babey,,,,

Here are my thoughts on: episodes 1-3; episode 4 and episode 5!

Things I like:

Okay I see we’re starting off with emotional devastation write off the bat with a Zuko flashback. Dallas does a good job at portraying now-Zuko and before-Zuko. HES JUST TRYING HIS BEST HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE HIS FATHER PROUD OF HIM!! HE WANTS TO HELP OTHERS AND HES PUNISHED FOR IT!! 😭😭😭

Finally!!!! we are getting more Zuko and Zhao conflict. We needed to see more of Zhao as a villain

June flirting with Iroh is so funny and far better than in the og

anyone: this place is impenetrable. zuko: say no more 😉

oh my god they did the zuko sequence of him taking out those guards to get to Aang so well!

Love the whole zuko rescuing Aang from Zhao it was perfect ✨

Zuko meticulously finding out all the information he can about the past Avatars to the point where Aang says no one else knows this stuff is so important to me

Also I like how Aang and Zuko got a longer conversation than in canon. they had a nice moment there 😌 that will get Zuko Contemplating Treason for sure. Well actually - more treason than what he’s already done (thinking about you: siege of the north)

the 41st division being Zuko’s crew is an interesting choice!!! I’m actually sobbing about it!! To me it’s both a bad and good choice. I’ve explained my thoughts below and in the next section

Despite what I say below, Zuko’s crew bowing to him after they find out Zuko’s actions saved their life is such a good scene. Zuko seeing the product of having compassion and empathy for others as something positive, rather than something he’s ultimately punished for.

things I don’t like:

Zhao’s speech kinda sucked tbh. in the og it was much more grand and terrifying. He's on ground level with the soldiers instead of on that grand balcony. In the original he goats how fire is the superior element, how they're going to raze the Earth Kingdom to the ground. But in this one, it's just not the same level of brainwash-y propaganda-ryness that would have made SO much more chilling

idk but i preferred when Koh was a bit more mysterious and we didn’t really know much about him except that he stole the face of Avatar Kuruk’s lover and like some more vague info that leaves you intrigued about the mystery. like who the fuck is the mother of faces (i know she’s from the comics but still). And why did Roku steal it from him at all? idk im confused

Idk why they made Zuko stand and fight Ozai????? Ozai burning his own child who refused to fight him was a part of the horror of it all. Zuko refused to fight his father and begged for his forgiveness but Ozai still burned him anyway. I guess it still gets the cruelty across and that Zuko’s own compassion is used against him and Ozai is an irredeemable monster, but i still think it’s Not A Good Change.

Like I said above, Zuko’s crew being the 41st is not a bad thing! But I do just want to say that in the original, the attack goes ahead, and presumably, those soldiers die. It’s horrible. Zuko’s sacrifice is in vein and it was always going to be in vain because the Fire Nation as its stands would not allow it. Ozai would not allow it. I think that, like I said, it’s not necessarily a bad choice, but I think it does take away some of the horror of Zuko’s story (same as it does with making Zuko fight back in my opinion). HOWEVER, I do think it’s not all bad. I loved the scene where the crew bows to him - like I said above 🥹

Aang just giving Koh the statue and then all the people are just freed and he doesn’t even say anything wtf 💀

also i was so excited for roku’s appearance but i just thought it was disappointing. stop info dumping!!!! leave something up for interpretation I am BEGGING. “And she is Koh’s mother. Koh longs for the same thing we all do. Family.” maybe i’m being a bitch about this but it just annoys me!!!!!!! stop spelling things out! Koh is so much better when he’s mysterious and unknowable!! why is Roku's whole presence to be here and info-dump about Koh instead of all the meaningful and wise interactions he has with Aang in the original. simply ✨no✨

As you’ve seen from my previous entries, I try to have more positives than negatives but there were some things in this episode that irritated me and that i couldn’t ignore lol hopefully it gets better.... 😅

There were still parts i loved! Aang and Zuko's interactions were great and teh whole sequence of them escaping was wonderful. I likes Zuko interacting with the crew and Iroh trying to care for Zuko but not really knowing how to reach out to him.

The light shining through your window was a soft pink, a notebook laid open on your desk, a jacket was thrown across the back of your couch, and there sprawled out on your bed was a very grumpy demon. You had been invited to Purgatory Hall to spend the day with the Angels, without hesitation you had accepted, now six hours later he was impatiently awaiting your return.

Mammon huffed and rolled over on his stomach, face buried in your pillow, he hated waiting on you to get back. What was so great about the Angels anyway? They weren’t nearly as fun to hang out with as him yet you always said yes when they invited you over. He was tired of them cutting into his time with you, so this time he was going to give you a piece of his mind about it when you got back, maybe you’d stop leaving him behind so much if he explained why he was the better choice to hang out with.

“You know this is my room right?” You had walked in while Mammon was busy pouting, he jumped at your voice and sat up instantly, he ignored your question and started asking his own.

“Where ya been? How long did ya plan on making me wait huh? Ya know yer the only the only human that makes The Great Mammon wait? You should be honored that I did!” His brows furrowed, he was doing his best to look tough, you saw through his little act and could tell he was overjoyed you had returned, so you decided to mess with him.

“Do I sense jealousy? From THE Mammon??”

“WHA—ME? JEALOUS? What do ya think I’d be jealous of huh?” He tried to look stern but his bright red cheeks gave him away.

Or did you and Levi swap while I was gone, I mean it was a whole six hours, who knows what changed in that massive amount of time!” You teased.

“It was a long time!” Mammon protested. “I had to sit here bored outta my mind while you were off bakin’ cookies with ‘em Angels again!” He was full on pouting at this point, his plan to scold you was foiled now that you had seen through his act so quickly.

“Well Mr. Know it All, that’s where you’re wrong! We didn’t bake anything! Instead, I was teaching them how to make friendship bracelets!” You stuck your tongue out playfully, it had been a while since you had seen him sulk this hard over sharing your time, but you knew he couldn’t stay mad at you for long.

“Ya made what?”

“Friendship bracelets! It’s a thing in the human world where two friends, usually younger kids, will make a cute bracelet for the other to wear showing the bond of their friendship! Luke wanted me to teach him how to make one so I did!” You beamed, proud of your achievement.

Oh great, cool, that’s fun. I didn’t realize you and Luke were such good friends, I mean I was your first friend but it’s okay, guess he’s your new best friend now.” Mammon was still seated on your bed, arms crossed and face red from embarrassment, you couldn’t help but tease him.

“Actually, I did make a bracelet for you. I was going to give it to you but since we aren’t best friends anymore, I guess I’ll just have to throw it away, after I spent soooo long making it.” You clutched your chest dramatically. The second born rolled his eyes and tried not to look too excited, he put his hand out waiting for you to show him the gift. From your jacket pocket you pulled out a small bracelet, golden strings braided together with a little M in the middle of it, you placed it in his palm and watched him turn it over a few times.

“Ya know…I’m not really into this kind of cheesy human world stuff…” He slipped the bracelet onto his wrist, still entranced by the way it glittered in the light.

“I understand, I can take—“

“No! Get away!” Mammon pulled his wrist close to his chest and turned his body away, preventing you from touching the bracelet. “It’s mine! I ain’t takin’ it off! Ya made it for me, ya can’t just take it back!”

You started to laugh, all jealousy was now gone and in its place was genuine pride and excitement, he was so easy to win over. Maybe now he wouldn’t get so upset when you spent time with the others.

“Fine keep it, but if you never take it off,” you wrapped your arms around the greedy demon, hugging him tightly and pressing your cheek against his, you could feel the heat from his face. “Then I guess that means we’re friends forever! Do you forgive me for abandoning you?” You gave him your best puppy dog eyes.

“Yeah yeah, I forgive ya…long as you remember who yer BEST friend is when ya hang out with ‘em again.” Mammon settled into your hug, still messing with his new accessory.

“Of course, how could I forget?”

scriddler in my little universe is very complicated… they kinda feed into the worst parts of each other but also cling to each other desperately. i wrote some small little stories but there isn’t much Overall planned. they meet in arkham (insanely romantic i know)… jon is a psychopharmacologist and one of arkham’s head psychiatrists. ed is an inmate and assigned as jon’s patient. hilarity ensues… jon is enamored with ed and really fascinated by the way his brain works. he does all sorts of things to see what makes him Tick. ed is much less interested in jon (bothered by him, even. he rejects his treatment and is often agitated during their sessions) and much more interested in the rumors about a cryptically horrifying scarecrow creature that roams arkham’s intensive treatment wing when it gets dark. he quickly takes to the case of finding this Creature. maybe it finds him first…

they eventually come to understand each other. they are both mentally ill to the max (projecting much) so their relationship isn’t always very stable. but they know that they can trust each other even if Love isn’t the best word. it’s something deeper. they Need each other i guess

fucked up shit that happens: they try to kill each other… a couple times; ed becomes a guinea pig for various fear toxins; he kinda likes it (jon is incredibly insistent that ed is Soooo Smart and Intelligent and really appeals to his ego and ed will do Anything for him) until he Doesn’t (as you can imagine, repeated fear toxin exposure is not very good for the brain. a guy who values his brain above everything Might freak out about this. there’s a bit of a falling out…)

good shit that happens: they raise a murder of crows; they escape from arkham; they have good times and go on a road trip (codotverse im looking at you); they Heal little by little

what would u say or reccomend to someone who knows nothin about sonic but is a bit interested in the fandom o_o

hmm thats a tough one! first, it depends on if youre more of a gamer or a watcher - im a watcher so i will look at it from that perspective. im also biased towards modern sonic... so classic sonic media is not my thing, at all.

ive seen a lot of people get into the fandom through the sonic movies! its its own continuity and sort of a one-off thing, so i guess that could be a nice simple start. cons: the movies arent perfect, and you might get caught up in the human lore instead, like me over here. but you get to experience the cutest sonic ever so, win?

if you dont mind kids audience focused media, the sonic prime show coming out currently (new season tomorrow!) is also pretty cute, But everyone is a bit ooc there!! so im not sure if its good for the first watch? sonic is a tad dumbed down, everyone else is an alternate version of themselves, except shadow, he has like the best writing Ever here. my opinion but i think many would agree...

if youre not a serious person, you could go my route and get into the fandom through sonic boom - i started watching it because i was also a bit interested in the fandom but the games were too overwhelming (and i really suck at them, honestly) boom is also like an AU for sonic, but its hilarious (if that sort of humor is your thing)

if you wanted to read - i would recommend the IDW sonic comics, specifically the 2018 one. gorgeous artwork, has its own story, introduces really cool new characters but also focuses on the main cast. im not caught up on the current story but i read the zombot part and it was really fun.

sonic boom also has a comic, you could check that out before watching the show to get a taste of the humor (its not taking itself seriously At All, and i love it)

if you wanted to check out the games, i guess sonic mania and sonic adventure 1 and 2 are probably the best to go with? i only played SA2 myself and i failed miserably, but you could emulate any of the older games on pc easily. or find a streamer/youtuber you like, maybe they played sonic before :] frontiers also has good reviews but as a true sonic fan, i havent played it myself 😌 (the sountrack is all bangers tho. honestly, sonic as a franchise has like the best music ever, i think the only franchise that is on the same level for me is homestuck and undertale when it comes to music, but they got fucking kellin quinn and one ok rock on this. unreal)

honorable mention: snapcube sonic dubs. literally, go watch 2006 sonic real time fandub, it was one of the things that also tipped me over to fully explore the fandom, i kid you not

A little treat to celebrate making it to the top 2 😌😌

An excerpt from the Wille POV oneshot that’s been WIP for almost half a year atp that’s actually fairly closed to being finished.

It’s a Wille POV of things that happened during my fic We Left Footprints When We Passed By. One day it will see the light of day!

After his second meeting he has a short break. His secretary brings him a tray at lunchtime, some kind of salmon filet with dill potatoes on the side but he has no appetite. He covers the plate again with the silver cloche and pushes it aside, opting to call Felice instead.

Felice answers him immediately “Oh Wille i'm so glad you called! Guess what?!”

He’s taken aback at her excited tone, “Oh…what?”

“Gabriel proposed! I said yes? I guess I’m getting married?”

“Oh” he swallows his disappointment. Of course he’s more than happy for her, but now he swallows the things he had wanted to say, tries to shift his mentality.

“Felice…that’s..that’s crazy.” He laughs, “Im so happy for you? Wow…you’re the first I guess. Feels so strange, but it’s great, I know you guys are amazing together”

“Thank you Wille! Im sorry I just couldn’t wait to tell you and then you called me…what did you want to tell me?”

He’s not going to burden her with this now, not when she’s so happy and excited.

“I just wanted to catch up…”

“Listen Wille! I want to put together a little get together just for a few close friends to celebrate please tell me you’ll be there.”

“Of course I will Felice.”

“You should bring Elin too!”

“When do you want to hold it?”

“I know it’s an awkward time but can you make Wednesday Night?”

“I’ll make time Felice.” He says and smiles, sitting back down in his office chair, looking out the window over the water and the bridge. From the angle he can see a corner of the Riksdag, “But I think Elin will be in Göteborg that day meeting with investors.”

“Oh no! Well tell her we will be sorry to miss her there.”

“I will.”

“So…sorry I just keep talking about myself, how are you doing hjärtat?”

“Good.” The lie slips easily off his tongue, “Getting ready for Midsummer preparations, trying to get paperwork done... I’m going to Spain on Monday for a very short state visit.”

“Well at least there will be good food.”

“Hopefully…you know there’s rarely anything interesting served at those things.”

“But the wine…”

“Ah the wine will make up for it. A glass of Teso La Monja usually does. Want me to bring you back a bottle?”

“That’s an awfully generous gift, Wille.” There’s a tease in her voice and he leans back in the chair and laughs softly,

“I’m in a generous mood and you’re getting married. I’d like to get you something special so just say yes.”

She laughs softly through the speaker, “Okay, okay…listen You don’t have to bring me anything, but thank you.”

He makes a note for his secretary to arrange it during their visit on the sticky note next to his laptop and sets it aside. “I’m really happy for you Felice.” He murmurs, genuine.

“Thank you hjärtat.” Her reply is soft, “I can’t wait to see you next week.”

“I love you.” He says quietly, feeling his affection for her come to the surface. “I’m just really glad that you’re happy.”

There’s a slight pause on the other end, “Is everything alright Wille? You’d tell me if it wasn’t wouldn’t you?”

He closes his eyes, “Everything is fine I promise. I’m just feeling sentimental.”

“Okay. I love you too, you know.”

“I do.”

“Then…I’ll see you soon. Just let me know if there’s anything, anything you need okay?”

“Okay.”

“Have a good afternoon hjärtat, make sure to get outside and enjoy the sun.”

“I’ll try.”

"Looks like there's a storm out there, y/n," Steve said, peeking through the blinds. He walked back over to the bed and laid next to you, facing you and smiling. "I love rain. It's so nice."

"Yeah, I guess it is..." You frowned.

"What's wrong baby?" He grabbed your hand and kissed your cheek. "You don't seem happy about it."

"I just... I don't know. You're gonna think it's dumb."

He furrowed his brow and moved closer to you. "Hey, nothing you do or say is dumb. Just tell me."

"I don't know, I'm scared of thunder, I guess." You rolled onto your back, not wanting to see his dumb little grin he definitely had.

But he didn't. He put his hand on your cheek, turning you to look back at him. "How bad is it? If you need me to, I can help you stay calm."

You blushed, your mind went blank and you could only think of literally one thing: How much you absolutely loved Steve.

"You're the sweetest guy ever." You whispered and kissed him. A flash of lightning and a loud boom caused you to flinch, and you started to tremble.

"Baby, don't worry. That wasn't even near us." Steve smiled sweetly, grabbing your hand again and wrapping his other arm around you to bring you closer to him.

"I know, but it's still scary."

You gripped Steve's hand tighter as another boom of thunder made you flinch. "It's okay, baby. You're safe. I'm here." He spoke softly into your ear and rubbed your back with his other hand. Your muscles relaxed a bit and you smiled as you melted into his warm embrace. You cuddled him, your face buried in his neck.

"It's so loud," you whispered, pulling him closer to you.

"I know, baby. Just focus on me and try to calm down..." He kissed you softly on your cheek, sending a wave of warmth through your body. "I love you."

"I love you..." You groggily mumbled, and even though he couldn't fully hear you, he knew what you meant and smiled, kissing the top of your head.

"You're so amazing, y/n." He rubbed his foot against yours and hugged you tighter. "I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend."

"Thank you~" Your eyelids started to feel heavy and you smiled softly, and despite the thunder, your mind blocked it out, slowly falling asleep to Steve's gentle touch, and his low, calming voice, and the smell of his cologne.

“Do you mind if your work gets seen by minors?” Is actually a question I’ve been asked a lot because I write and draw saucy works and the accountability has seemingly been shifted from legal guardians onto randoms like me. They say it takes a village to raise a child after all. This leads easily into the subjects of censorship, human sexuality, responsibility in the digital age, parasocial boundaries, society and individuality, proliferation of paywalls that rope off the internet and free flow of information… and so on. So many subjects, so little time, and yet so intersectional. I see it often, the ubiquitous “minors dni”, even on people’s pages that don’t have explicit material; I’m guessing it’s because people don’t want the headache, but any dni is as good as a line drawn in the sand, a magic circle where all your morals live, until the wind blows it away. Have you ever been asked “are you over the age of 18?” I pressed that button just the other day and just as easily as I had when I was a minor. “Do you mind if your work gets seen by minors?” is the question I’m asked, like my saucy work is a landmine for someone to accidentally step on and to which I can’t help but imagine a different question: “Do you mind if a minor seeks it out?”*

I’m not anyone’s parent and it is not my responsibility to take care of a stranger’s welfare. You have to understand that the internet is a grey place. I don’t know who’s looking. I’d rather not know.**

I tag my smut and label it with a 🔞 with the implicit meaning being don’t look at things you’re not supposed to be looking at. I won’t ever know for certain if a minor looked, pressing the proverbial “yes I’m over the age of 18”, unless that minor was a fool and broadcasted their vulnerability to the world at large, interacting with my unsafe works knowing that their profile reflected that same perceived lack of impulse control. Goodness, if they were smart, they’d be liars.

Even so, I was young once; I lived like the puritanical ideal while also having seen society’s forbidden knowledge [sex things, oh my!]. No matter how well someone hides the cookies, someone will always climb the fridge to get them, and if I had fallen off the fridge, no one should blame the baker. And no one should tell the baker that they should stop baking, especially in their own bakery.

We exist in a moment in time when even payment processors have a say in what kind of content is distributed and how that affects art as a whole, eating into adult spaces [recently the Gumroad nsfw policy leaving nsfw artists reeling] and especially encrouching on queer spaces. Imagine the amount of chargebacks various nsfw gets because sex is so vilified in society that people have to panic when caught oh I'm really not into big anime boobs dw, oh i didnt actually commission this nsfw artist and waste 20 hours of their precious time and labour, oh i need my money back because...; I’m sure the money system abhors it for a money reason, but the root of it is the proliferation of Protect the Children™ used by puritanical opportunists. You the individual affect the wider culture as a whole through the groups you belong to, even if you don't intend to.

I’m asking for people to be smart, to think of their own well-being, but to also think of where they draw the line. Filter the word “smut” and “nsft” and "suggestive" and you should be safe on my page even though the sauce is rare in my Tumblr. This goes for everyone this applies to and not just minors.
