recently ive been having conversations about sex in games, and by having conversations i mean getting accused of being a puritan by 19 year olds any time i express a critical thought about a game that has depictions of sex in it. most recently i was bemoaning that the vast majority of games where sex is the primary focus exclusively feature characters that neither i nor any of my friends can see ourselves in. my primary complaint was that no characters in any of these games ever seem to be hairy or fat, and when trans women are present they are always of the Cis-Passing™ and/or conventionally attractive variety. i know the usefulness of both these phrases can be debated eternally but im just gonna hope people know what i mean when i say this.
after spending 30 minutes trying to convince younger trans women that i in fact enjoy sex and like to look at porn, i just wish i could see anything other than supermodels and hips too wide to fit through doorframes, i received the snarky suggestion that i should "look literally anywhere other than steam". in addition, it was suggested that my biggest problem is that i dont play visual novels, because that is apparently where most queer representation in video games can be found.
it may have been delivered in a snarky way but it was a good suggestion, the steam storefront is a fucking nightmare, i havent tried a new visual novel in a good long while, so why not try my luck. the specific suggestion i received was to go to itch.io, as that website is, according to this group of young trans women, dominated by queer creators.
now my very first observation was that the site is not, in fact, dominated by queer creators. it is dominated by skibidi toilet low poly analog horror games that look completely unappealing. but, in the interest of good faith, i wont wield that as a gotcha. instead i will just punch in the tags "LGBT" and "Dating Sim", so that i can experience the absolute wealth of body positive interactive erotic experiences that apparently flood this website.
well, page one is just not the strongest start. but yet again, lets be fair, ive been automatically directed to the "popular" games. lets sort by "most recent" instead, an unfiltered look at what comes through this site.
i dont mean to be difficult, but it appears im still largely getting buff furry men, skinny anime people, and CGI porn stars. let me go completely out of my way to try to give the benefit of the doubt, i am going to sort through games and only address games that are explicitly erotic and explicitly queer.
just for a second, let me be sincere and say that my goal here is not to point out and mock or shame individual queer creators on the merits of the representation present in their independently developed dating sims. nobody is perfect, no one creator or even team can ensure every single intersection of identity is represented in their art, this is about broader trends and the snarky response i get when i complain about those trends.
i threw in the 'erotic' tag, enduring and suffering more uses of the words "femboy", "lewd", and "futanari" than any person should ever be forced to, and i was able to find some explicitly queer games! the method i used was opening literally every single individual game page and reading through its description. yes this took a very long time and its all in service of proving a point that a lot of people wouldnt argue in the first place, but i still regularly have to deal with people who do argue it, so this is for them. enjoy blocking me on social media and discord after this i guess.
we are off to a great start, because this game actually has fat characters in it! its a bit too cutesy anime aesthetic for my taste, but thats personal preference, this is absolutely something that qualifies. maybe all i needed was 3 or 4 filters! of course that is not true because there were several generic hentai games ahead of and behind this one, but first row on the first page, im going to remain positive.
after this we immediately start hitting duds. femboy baristas, bodybuilder physiques, high poly hairless porn star physique CGI women, all of these games explicitly mention that they feature LGBT, queer, or gay relationships. now i know i said i wasnt aiming to mock individual games, but i cannot resist the urge to draw attention to "The Date on Elm Street", a game that features a yassified freddy krueger.
we march on. moe yuri girls who are allegedly adults, skinny college boys, you get the idea. i may have found one game with body diversity among the character designs but i still havent found anything that i feel i can see myself in. gonna have to buckle up and dig for a while i guess.
brief aside, i am judging these games based on scrolling through every available screenshot, teaser, and trailer uploaded to their page. it is entirely possible there could be characters i dont know about that are bangable within these titles, but if that is the case there is still the issue that all of the promotional material exclusively features hot skinny anime people.
for all this effort i walk away with one (1) game that could possibly qualify as being a queer, body diverse dating sim. there were a few dating sims meant for gay men that had a single fat character present, but when theyre lost amongst all the flawless twinks and bodybuilders i hesitate to afford credit.
however. i am leaving out a game i was directly recommended. Hardcoded.
that is not promising. its the only character depicted in screenshots aside from a one eyed cat and this person
but i have to assume that these are not the only characters in this game, so i am actually going to download and play it, seeing as it was recommended to me in relation to the topic of lack of diversity in sex focused games.
total aside here, this feature left me guessing. is the sex in this game rpg style random encounters? i have to assume that if youre not interested in men, you could simply avoid trying to fuck any of the male characters. maybe after playing for a bit this checkbox will make more sense.
im starting to suspect that most people consider the presence of a single fat person to be Body Positive. REITERATING, i am not trying to give this developer in particular a hard time and i am absolutely not encouraging anyone else to, this game is cute so far, im glad there is a game like this starring a trans character, we're just sticking to my original complaint.
im gonna save bandwidth (and my blog from the fate of a mosaic avatar) by not posting any further screenshots, there is a character with wide hips, the character with the prosthetic arm, and the hyper tits sex droid as far as any deviation from conventionally attractive skinny people goes. im just now realizing this post is formatted like a somethingawful lets play, humiliating. anyway the conclusion i came to is that when i complain about the lack of fat hairy dykes and trans people who are Visibly Trans™ in erotic video games i am indeed completely justified because even queer produced erotic video games do not seem to have these things. im right, everyone else is wrong, goodnight.

here's a quick rundown on astarion:
gay vampire spawn (not a vampire. like a demo version vampire. a "lesser" one but don't let him hear that) who has been kept for 200 years by his master as a slave. guy (who was an actual vampire) carved him up, tortured him and forced him to lure victims into his manor. astarion has been abused in so many ways i'd hit some sort of character limit if i listed half of them. he was only allowed to feet on rats and small vermin in the sewers. poor little meow meow astarion is now free due to [game story] reasons and seeks power and revenge -- he's an edgy fuck with a lot of swag and no moral compass. bro is a menace and loves causing problems on purpose. [slight spoiler] he will literally try to suck some of your blood like a day or two after you meet him and unless you succeed a skill check he'll just keep doing it until you die. if you resurrect yourself afterwards he'll go like "ooooh ooopsie sowwy! i wouldn't kill you if i knew you'll be back teehee can we forget about this? ;) <3 don't fucking kill me". he's such a good fucking whumpee you don't even know. it's insane. i don't want to ramble but he's almost everything i've ever wanted from a character like this in a large scale rpg. [slightly bigger spoiler] despite being the go-to "fuckable" character who everyone finds hot as hell (both in-universe and online) he's HORRIBLY traumatized by his sexual experiences from when he used to be a slave and when you romance him a good portion of his storyline revolves around trying to make him realize that he's more than just a slab of very attractive meat. he hides his feelings behind a facade of "evil tumblr sexyman-esque" mannierisms and getting to finally peel it back and see him for the poor wet cat that he is is so fucking satisfying. [an even bigger spoiler] i loved watching him cry when he finally gets to confront his former master. pristine content.
there's so much more to his character (and this game in general) but if you ever need to justify spending full price on a new videogame release, there's nothing better than bg3. if i could choose one game to beam directly into the brain of each whumpblr user, it'd be this one.

No idea about anything, maybe it has incredible gameplay and i just dont know. Dont tell me if it does itll just make ms sadder bc that would absolutely make me wanna play it myself. Hello!! Welcome over to my blog :D
Zal is a mess (affectionate) so I think that helps lol. And I think the concept of their relationship in general is interesting. They had a little playground wedding when they were 8 before he moved away, and then she finds out that she's a faerie changeling and a princess, and thus they're legally married in her country. So it's not really arranged marriage or marriage of convenience, I refer to it as Accidental Marriage and I'm making it a trope. We still have those conflict issues of them figuring out how they feel about each other whilst already being married, and they talk to their friends and it's like "but what if she doesn't like me like that. We're already married and it's not the easiest thing to undo."
And then Zal's mess. She's very desperate to belong anywhere. I call her a "chameleon" because she adapts to the people around her (I do, too). Being around her bio parents and the other fae high in the court was horrible for her. Her parents are insane, and they don't like Clay because he's human. Part of it is sorta understandable, they don't want a human to be king in a almost entirely fae-populated country, but most of it is just general anti-humanness that is prominent in both Ashein and Inwand [the two main faerie kingdoms, they're neighbors]. Divorce isn't exactly possible for them since faerie vows are binding and they were eight, so they weren't thinking about adding a divorce clause lol ("until we wish it otherwise"). So their "solution" is murder. And her parents promised both of them that they wouldn't harm either of them, so they can't murder him themselves. They decide their gonna get Zal to do it. They're very manipulative and emotional blackmail-y which plays to her every weakness, so while she never actually does try to murder him, she may have slightly considered it for a moment. (I'm still a little salty about that lol). And there may or may not be poison in her nightstand with his name on it. That she completely forgets about for like months (adhd things). And I can't say any more about that hehe but obviously it's a problem.
And then Aramis actually tries to murder him in the middle of the leap day ball, so that happened too. [Everyone is trying to kill him in book 1, poor guy.] That's when Zal finally starts to realize she has 🌌feelings🌌.
There's a lot of angst in the climax scene at the end. [I write like a maniac and so I've written a bunch of scenes at the end lol and that scene is like the best thing Ive ever written.] I obviously can't say a lot, but it has to do with the general danger of him being in faerie especially as a prince and she tries to get him to leave. And he may have found something and was a little heartbroken in the middle of that.
Summary: Zal's parents and the fae in general cause a lot of their issues, the normal friends to lovers type issues with figuring out your feelings, and then the rest of their issues are really just Zal being a mess (she gets much better though. She had lots of healing to do and she finally gets on the right track to that by the end).
I do still worry if he's too perfect lol but Im also currently in the middle of trying to restructure his whole character arc in my head, so I can't really say much about that as it's all moving around and changing at the moment.
Also I think banter and teasing make things more interesting even when there isn't "real" conflict. There's this one snippet on my wattpad where they're being playful and Clay's like "if you run this kingdom the way you play your life sims, the whole thing is going to be on fire" and she throws a shoe at him. Which I think can be just as fun as actual conflict lol.

I just drove home while listening to my tomarry playlist and i need to tell you, i love themb so much and this song (Carnivore by Bear Attack! If the link doesnt work) is such a themb song and omg. I need to go reread love is touching souls. I need to finish typesetting it. I need to stop procrastinating buying printing materials and just bind it into a physical book. Themb.
But also, i was thinking about this fic thats currently sitting partially done in my google docs, thats endgame tomarry but currently drarry. And basic context: Harry becomes the DADA prof after a few years of being a failure of an auror and he and Ginny just finalized their divorce (nothing was Wrong Per Se, Ginny just realised shes a lesbian), and Hermione sets him up with Draco but theyre not really Great together theyre more just meh as a couple, but then Harry accidentally time travels back to 1945 (give ir take a few years) and teaches DADA during Tom's seventh year, and they get together and Harry knits Tom a Weasley sweater and etc etc etc BUT i couldnt figure out how to get them both back to The Present Day while not breaking up Harry and Draco BUT BUT BUT i realized i can just make it hella poly and itd still be cute!
Im telling you all of this as the person who got me into tomarry plus the first person i thought of when i put this playlist on, i hope this hinged-ness finds you well i love you <3
Love the idea of introducing someone else to the Tomarry relationship because we've all seen Tom and how he feels about sharing. Like I feel like any work with Tomarry + another character is like, 40% getting Tomarry together (all the Hurdles and Problems and such with those two) and then 60% Harry slowly making Tom stop hissing at whoever else because he has to share Harry with them and that's his soulmate. Yes even if he likes them too he's just Like That. He's so very not suited to polyamory, it would be extremely entertaining reading a fic trying to make it work.
I remember reading a fic back in Ye Olden Days that was a Drarry snippet with Severus looking in from the outside wishing he could be with Harry but Knowing Deep in his Soul that he was Wrong for him. I'd link it but I'm like 90% sure it was in french and I don't want to go looking through FFnet for it right now haha. Drarry just made me think of it. Oh and there was One good Drarry fic I loved, still in french, by and author who wrote banger after banger (all in french, yeah) on FFnet that introduced baby me to Supermassive Black Hole and the fact that you don't put two condoms on. It's Nothing Else Matters by Rose Malefoy if you want to look at the page and not understand the text haha (yes Malefoy with an e that's how it's spelt in french) Oh and my first Snarry was amnesiac Harry who was with Severus and forgets it so he gets into a relationship with Draco but then remembers and leaves him I think? It's been a while. I used to be into Drarry more but it's been years since I read some, since I discovered Snarry and all.
I think we should combine our poly Tomarry AUs to inflict the maximum amount of Situations on theses guys. Like throw in Draco throw in Severus and then let them take years and a lot of therapy to disentangle that mess and make a working polycule out of it. A bit like when you plop Sims in a house with full autonomy and wait for them to do something cool like starving themselves or making out with their brother's wife, except here I hope they'd figure it out and get a good ending at some point. Anyway.
Oh and in Tomarry news if you haven't tackled Draw me after you (let us run) by Toastranger you should go for it because now after about 200k words and 44 chapters Things have been Happening 👀 (I'm not subtle, they finally kissed is what happened) extremely fun fic, highly recommend once again. That said it is a time investment because I love long works

Myself: I'm a 16 yr old girlie and turning 17 soonn!! A taurus intp here and is 163 cm tall. I'm on the logic side but quite imaginative. Realistic and optimistic. I'm usually quite and just like to observe everything around me. If I'm with my friend group and I just lay back and listen to them chatter on. I love listening to them and honestly don't mind taking care of them since I'm the eldest one in the friend group by a yr older than them. I tend to take care of people around me unconsciously and I get flustered and taken back when someone mentions it. I deny it cause I'm bit on the grumpy side. If I'm alone with one of my friends i tend to chatter alot. I ramble alot on my favourite topics and theories i make up myself. I'm bit of a people pleaser, overthinker and tend to be a perfectionist. I isolate myself from others when I'm too stressed. I don't depend on people cause I'm scared of what if I'm being too much and do things by myself. I'm not really an emotional person. I don't cry much but if I wanted to cry the tears won't come and it makes me fustrated. I tend to pile up my negative feelings. But I do not let others negative words get to me. I rationalize people's words alot and ask myself questions if it's worth believing such words. If I fall down I get up on my feet quickly. I don't dwell on mistakes and think with a positive mindset that I'm gonna do better next time. I read lots of webcomics, read books, and listen to music. Also I love to draw, writing a little and play badminton. I don't watch movies and series much. I'm a huge fan of cycling. I like cycling around at night and it's peaceful. A coffee lover here. I love the smell of cofee beans. I am a quality time person. I'm not much of physical touch lover but I don't really mind them. I like the thought just being in the same room as them. I'm not really clingy and tries to understand everyone's pov. I don't really get jealous much and I'm rather chill-this-is-nothing kind of person. I hope this much will be enough 😂
Ideal type: Hmmm I'm not really sure what's my ideal type is. I'm a hopeless romantic. But I tend to like people who are opposite of me?? Quite the bright and puppy energy and lovable. aww, im sure the treehouse looked good! I cant remember my password and such to my minecraft account at the moment so I can't even play minecraft at this moment of time, though I've never been good at building. I have a full ass binder filled with pokemon cards, the binder is so old that it has barbie stickers on it that i had put on it when I was little. I remember watching every new episode of pokemon when it would happen, i stoped sometime within x and y though as I lost interest in watching TV. Its so hard finding where to watch the series as netflix only has the original series up to a certain point, it doesnt have all of the episodes unfortunately. If I could reccomend a fantasy series it would be the inhearatance(butchered the spelling) cycle, ive only read the first book but its very interesting and it has a dragon in it. Awwh! Building is a lot of fun! I wish I had more skill on it. If I'm honest, I could spend HOURS building on sims. I made my friend a house once and it took me 14 hours (over a couple of days) because I went into detail haha. I love the building aspect of games!!! AWWHHH BARBIE STICKERS!! T-T My pokemon binder is just filled with Kpop photocards atm, I need to get a proper folder for them but I have no idea where to get them from. They need to create a website like they did for Sailor Moon where you can watch every episode, old and new T-T 😂 Yes! One of my penpals actually sends me Pokemon cards whenever she collects a double T-T I love it

he didn’t want to bring it to your attention first, so he kinda avoided it for a bit
not bcs he was hurt, he was just really really confused LMFAO
he decided to bring it to your attention three days after the fact when you two were chilling in your room
he asked, “y/n, what’s that binder?”
you became so embarrassed bc u forgot to mention it to him
when you finally did tell him that you collected jungwon’s photocards, he became pouty
he wanted you to collect his photocards too
you laughed because you thought he was going to find your habit weird, but you reassured him you would collect his photocards also

jay knew of photocard collecting, and he didn’t mind it, but he didn’t expect you to do it
he found out when he was at your house and you were doing a chore so you asked him to get the mail for you
jay was curious, but he didn’t want to open your mail without your permission
so he waited until you were done with your said chore and asked you if wanted to open your mail
you told him he could, and as soon as you recognized the packaging, you quickly took the mail out of his hands
he was very confused and became upset that you had something to hide from him
“what are you hiding?” he asked you, saddened
you decided to show him anyways, and his frown went into a smile as you handed the mail back to him, “i’m embarrassed.”
he happily opened the mail, reassuring you that you had nothing to be embarrassed about. his smile quickly dropped when he was met with sunghoon’s photocard
he looked up at you from his spot with the most unamused face ever, “why?”
you told him about your hobby, to which he told you he didn’t mind it, but he wishes that he could’ve found out you collected him, your boyfriend, instead
days later, u found the photocard of sunghoon that he had given jay as a gift on your bed with a note, “you need it more than me. - j”

jake never really expected you of all people to be a photocard collector
so he was taken by surprise when he walked in your room one day and your room was just littered with dimension : dilemma albums
every member’s, minus riki’s, photocards were scattered out on the floor
riki’s, however, were in a nice and neat pile on your desk, and even the dupes were piled in a separate pile
you had intended to tell him that when he arrived at your house to wait for you in the living room, because you didn’t want to tell him quite yet
you weren’t ashamed, but you didn’t want to tell your boyfriend that your enhypen bias wasn’t actually him, and instead it was his youngest member
but as we all know, jake loves riki
so when you enter your room and you find jake looking for his photocards on the floor, you’re startled and flustered
you ended up confiding in him immediately, not wanting to keep your hobby a secret any longer since jake already found out
he was very supportive, and even agreed with you that his enhypen bias is riki
lowkey pressures riki to take good selcas for photocards every release so that you’ll have the best looking collection ever

he knew something was up when you were constantly getting mail
he decided that he was going to ask you about it instead of snooping around because he’s better than that
when you were asked, you avoided the subject because you didn’t collect sunghoon, your boyfriend, and you were afraid he might become deflated or think you like jake, who you did collect, more than him
so you told sunghoon that you had purchased gifts for a friend
however, he walks in on you one day as you’re organizing your jake collection with a bunch of opened mail packages scattered around you
he stops in his tracks, “so they weren’t gifts?”
he’s not hurt or anything, in fact he’s teasing you
he asks to see your collection, which he’s impressed by
(and maybe he’s a little jealous)
within the next week, you have a random binder on your bed, and when you open it, it’s a full collection of your boyfriend’s photocards
when you confront him, he tells you, “if me physically forcing you to collect my photocards is what takes for you to look at me instead of jake, i will start giving you them firsthand.”

sunoo was so elated when you wanted to open a bunch of enhypen albums with him
he was very surprised, though, at your excitement when you’d opened the album to a jay photocard
he also notices how you keep the jay photocard on you for safe keeping
but that night, when you and sunoo go to your room to hang out, you decide to just be straight up with him and admit your hobby
(you noticed how he looked a little deflated after your reaction of pulling jay)
but because you were honest with him, he got even more happy
because now he could help you get your hands on jay photocards !!
he now also hypes jay up so much because he knows that jay is your bias
but ever since you told sunoo about your habit, he makes the (not-so) discreet habit to place his best photocards around your house
it may or may not be because he wants you to collect him too
YANG JUNGWON ; 양정원
you two were both hanging out at the enhypen dorms
you had gone to the bathroom and left your phone with jungwon and he was just scrolling through your instagram feed
you suddenly were dm’ed
out of habit, he clicked on it, finding out that you received a dm of someone replying to your dm asking them if you could purchase a sunoo photocard for your collection
he was genuinely very confused; since when did you collect photocards, let alone sunoo’s?
he decided to not ask about it, he had no evidence that you actually collected, plus this was just one photocard
until
you returned from the bathroom, and when you flopped on your bed next to jungwon, you unlocked your phone for it to be opened to the dm
you immediately became embarrassed, not wanting jungwon to find out this way
he, now curious, asked you if he could see your collection
and when you pulled your binder out, he asked you if you could start collecting him too
he would also find a way to take selcas for you and print them out, calling them “limited photocards”
NISHIMURA RIKI ; 西村力
he actually had to find out secondhand
you were friends with heeseung before meeting riki (he was friends with your older sibling), and as heeseung was the one who introduced you two, you had a soft spot for him
so you began collecting his photocards
you told heeseung about this, to which he took a picture of your binder with you next to it
little did you know, he sent it directly to riki
an hour later, after you and heeseung were dropped off at the enhypen dorms, you were met with a sulky riki
he immediately asked you about your hobby and why you collected heeseung instead of him
you were taken aback, you didn’t even know riki knew of your hobby
you reassured him that even though you collected heeseung, if riki wanted you to, you could start collecting him too
the next day, when you and riki hung out, he handed you a large sum of enhypen albums, telling you he would start collecting his photocards with you LOL

I am so completely enamored with Danny as jons ex and I would be forever in your debt if you finished that
i wasn't expecting people to like this idea so much, its definitely one of my weirder ones xD since im not sure when i'll get around to actually finishing it (if ever) you can have a very rough chunk of it instead. you'll have to forgive any mistakes, im not up to editing it.
In a surprising show of athleticism, Jon ducks under Sasha’s chair before the specter of his past manages to see him.
Sasha swears at the action, backing up in her chair and peering down at Jon in bafflement. “What on Earth are you doing, Jon?”
Instead of answering her question, he backs up even further, tucking his feet out of sight. He thinks Sasha’s umbrella must be under here, and judging from the sharp point currently jabbing at his thigh, he probably broke it. “Is he still there?” he hisses, tilting his head to avoid bashing it into the desk.
“Who?”
“That- that man!”
A pause. “Tall, dark and handsome?”
Jon’s turn to pause. “I suppose you might call him that,” he replies stiffly. And it’s true. The man, from Jon’s brief, panicked glimpses, is at least six foot, with thick, dark hair and a bright grin.
And he looks exactly like Jon’s ex, Danny Stoker.
He’d done an almost comical double-take after a cursory glance; at first he’d thought Danny was the new hire, but this man was more angular, like a sharper, leaner version of his ex. So no, it couldn’t be him.
That didn’t stop him from diving under the nearest object, ergo Sasha’s desk. Not the wisest of decisions, considering his throbbing side, but he’s never been known for grace under pressure.
He’s not exactly sure why this fight or flight mode’s been activated- he and Danny had parted on fairly good terms, each recognizing that although they cared about the other, they simply weren’t compatible in the long term. They’d dated for a little over six months when Jon was a freshman, and he’d fallen hard.
Danny had been his first real relationship, and Jon was shocked that someone like him even looked his way. Impossibly handsome, incredibly fit, desired and envied in equal measure, and he dated scrawny, shy, insecure Jonathan Sims; the rumor mill went wild. They’d met at a party, and not even a good one. In a brief moment of liquid courage, Jon managed to insert himself into a group and fit in one snarky joke that sent Danny into stitches, the rest of the partygoers following his lead. For one second, Jon felt like he truly fit in, like he was someone worth knowing.
Danny had a way of making someone feel special. Big, romantic gestures, surprising him after class, taking him on little expeditions beyond campus. Jon didn’t drive, still doesn’t, and Danny wanted to show him the world outside of their privileged little campus.
But, like all of Jon’s relationships, it came to an end. Jon wasn’t ready for such overwhelming affection (didn’t think he deserved it, quite frankly), and Danny needed someone who could handle his fast-paced lifestyle. Jon was not that man. They broke up amicably, even if Jon shed a few tears in private, saw each other on campus a few times. Danny tried to reach out more than once, just as friends, but Jon’s never been able to handle more than one relationship at a time, and by then he’d met Georgie.
But now it seems the past is unavoidable, and standing near the circulation desk. Well, now walking in his direction, if the steady footsteps were any indication. Jon’s heart begins to hammer in his chest as it hits him that he is, in fact, hiding under a desk because a man who sort of looks like his ex is in his general vicinity. Coward.
“‘Lo!” God, even the voice is similar, if not as deep. “Tim Stoker. Reporting for duty.”
Stoker. Tim Stoker. Jon startles, slamming his head against the desk with a yelp.
Somewhere in his spiraling thoughts and throbbing head he remembers- Danny had a brother. An older brother that he adored. This must be the famous Tim- Danny made him out to be a saint, and though Jon never met him, he felt some fondness via Danny’s descriptions. But Tim’s going to have no fondness for him, especially considering Jon’s current position, hiding in pain under his coworkers desk.
“Pleased to meet you!” Sasha chirps, very clearly amused by the situation. “I’m Sasha James. And this-” she tugs at one of Jon’s legs, dragging him a few inches into sight. Jon buries his head in his hands and wishes he were invisible. “-is Jonathan Sims. We’ll be training you.”
“Excellent.” Tim’s voice holds the same good humor Danny’s always did, and sends a pang of nostalgia through his chest. “Er, you alright down there?”
“Yes,” Jon responds robotically, scrambling to his feet and standing behind Sasha’s chair, unwilling to meet the man’s eyes, lest he be drawn in. “I- uh, lost a pen. P-Probably left it in the copy room, I’ll just be going...there.” With that incredible performance, he fled.
And only tripped once on the way out.

So Jon’s kind of cute.
Tim doesn’t normally go for tiny disgruntled academics, but Jonathan Sims is an interesting fellow. He’s got a reputation for being the ‘problem child’ of the Research Department, awkward and prickly and always available with a snide word. He wields his books and files like a little suit of armor, and the only person he’s seen him open up to is Sasha. Besides their little conversations, Jon is all work and no play.
Except with Tim.
Sasha says she’s never seen anything like it, with one of her secret little smiles. Jon’s always staring. Usually, the man can’t hold eye contact to save his life, but he’ll spend full minutes looking at Tim when he thinks he can’t see. The first few times, Tim would turn around and smile, but that practically sent the man into convulsions, dropping his papers and jumping out of sight like a spooked cat. It was funny the first few times, but Tim pitied him enough to ignore it now. He hopes Jon enjoys the view.
God forbid he ask the guy a question. Jon will look around the room, as if waiting for someone else to answer, when it’s clearly directed at him. He’ll blush and stammer his way through every explanation, keeping a wide berth of at least two feet between them. Even when Tim wants him to look at his screen, he’ll squint from far away. Tim starting to think he smells bad, or has some sort of communicable disease unbeknownst to him.
“It’s not that,” Sasha assures him, again with that unreadable smile. “Trust me.”
Time to try something else.
He prints out his latest follow up, a rather elaborate statement regarding mistaken identities and absolutely nothing supernatural. He knows Jon prefers to look at things on paper, as screens ‘trigger his migraines’ if Tim understood his mumbles. Maybe if he can engage with him on familiar territory for the both of them, he’ll be able to hold a conversation. Tim specifically requested his help on this one.
“If you could just look it over, make sure everything’s up to snuff, that’d be great,” Tim says to the top of Jon’s head, as the man refuses to lift his own to meet his gaze. “You know how Dr. Walker is. Always-”
“Finding mistakes where there are none? I’m familiar with her methods,” Jon snorts, and Tim feels like he’s getting somewhere. A whole sentence! With classic Jonathan Sims snark! “I-I can give it a look. I’m rather busy, but -”
“Take your time,” Tim says with a dismissive wave of the hand. “I finished a bit early, so I don’t need it for a few days yet. Don’t want to put you out.”
“You’re not.” Jon meets his eyes for about ten seconds before ducking his head back down.

so you want to learn to code? ^w^ epic !! you can always take classes and whatnot, but you can also learn online >w<
if you’re interested in making a game, the first question is do you want to try and create it with a game maker, or with a programming language! game makers will be much easier for those who haven’t programmed, but doing it by yourself gives you much more control over every aspect of the game :}
if you’re looking at making a fairly typical game, or an rpg, or a text based game, and you don’t need many custom mechanics, it might be good to look into gamemakers ! but if you don’t have the money, or you’d like to step outside of the box, here’s where you can get started :D
big big huge biggest question :} what language would you like to learn! there are a ton of different languages, and they’re all useful for different things :D let me introduce you to a couple of common ones! (note: you can learn a language if you like, then move on to a game ide (which might help you understand the overall coding concepts more) or you can go straight to a game ide and learn whatever language it uses, which i think might be more difficult but if you’re only interested in making games, it should b fine!)
html+css+javascript: these are used in tandem for making responsive websites!
python: generally considered a good language for beginners, syntax is very different than java-like languages, tends to not be used for games but some like the sims 4 and doki doki literature club are made in it / use it!
java: the big guns... this can teach you the base for a lot of key programming concepts that are crucial in game making! i also find my knowledge of java to be very translatable to pretty much any coding problems i come across :D java was used to make minecraft, simcity, and more. although it’s certainly not the top choice for game devs, its very similar to the one that most people use ^_^
c++/c#: even though these are languages with different bases, i’m grouping them together because they’re both included in unity :3 these are the guys you want to get to know well if you’re learning games! the syntax is very very similar to java, and c++ is an object oriented language just like java ! the differences between the two come down to things like garbage collection and interpreters, which just means they’re going to feel the same to write in ^_^

LIYA ONG IM SO HYPED TO HEAR YOU'VE PLAYED OUR LIFE, WELCOME TO THE CLUB BOO!!!💞 Sgdgdhdjf it's literally the best dating sim there is to me, the fact you can customize your character and your actions? Impeccable. The fact that there are no bad endings and you don't even have to date anyone if you don't want to (but tbh there are many characters to simp for and date 😩)?? Outstanding. Honestly the characters are written so well and I see none of the toxicity I usually see around, and being able to react accordingly to the character's behavior is really the salt and spice of the game (my friend finds cove too emotional and usually fights with him while i let things pass and she was very uncomfortable with baxter when he first appeared and reacted accordingly while i was this 👌 close to punting my boyfriend since jesus to space because GOOD LORD, what do you mean you're flirty and suave yet still mindful of people's boundaries and respect them?? Also you do ballroom dancing?? *tucks hair behind ear* hYELLO)
There are so, so many things to love about Our Life! It's a charming game, and it's lovingly crafted. It's refreshing that there's no bad endings, or "wrong" options-- you don't have to hurt characters you care about. You can talk things out, express how you feel plainly, and there's no frustrating miscommunication for the sake of cheap drama. Any miscommunications that arise is sympathetic and given real weight, and resolved satisfyingly. The game really captures the summer vibes of a sweet romance with the boy next door!
I love the emphasis on player choice, too! Your choices, even the littlest ones, matter, and there are so many separate branches. Cove will remember your favorite flower or a drink you choose often. I love the abundance of dialogue options (you can be as grumpy or sweet as you want), and that you can choose your own interests, and the game will remember that! The fact that you can just stay close friends with Cove, or how you don't even need to put a label on your relationship/get married? Our Life really is a game about love at its core!
The side characters, like you said, are so wonderful. I love all of them deeply; I love the diversity of the game, how well integrated it is, how the characters are given room to be themselves and explore who they are, and grow with you! The fact that you have two loving moms and that you can explore your gender identity/sexuality (and have it change as you grow up?) honestly made me so emotional. Lizzie has to be my favorite though, she's such a sweet older sister even when she's going through a moody teenager phase. I found Baxter very funny and sweet! I wish we had managed to hang out with him more :')
In games, I usually try to choose nice options to make everyone happy (but when given the opportunity to fight with Jeremy (derogatory) I could not refuse...), and I love that Cove is so sweet and supportive. You can progress your relationship with him as slow or fast as you want, but both of you are always mindful of the other's boundaries and space. The fact you can choose if Cove will initiate physical contact with you, and to what degree, is a fantastic game choice!

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. Thanks for hearing me out, and thanks for all the work you do to make this games playable. I really enjoy all your hard work!

#SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. If it's not too much, children's version is also appreciated!

For the SSS Wishlist, I would Love to see a set of three to four hairstyles, all with the same texture. My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.
The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. - An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.
- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?
- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

What I would really like is just something cute for boys! Toddler or child is fine, but little boys get so little love in the community – it can be a hairstyle, an outfit, some bedding recolors with trucks and animals and such, even just a set of a few ‘boys getting into trouble’ poses. Hello! This #SSSWish is such a fun idea~ Personally, I'd love if someone updated the Plantsims mods that have broken over the numerous updates. Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. I've always loved Plantsims since Sims 2 & 3 days, but my knowledge of modding (and especially updating mods) is near nonexistent, so I can't do this myself. It would be awesome if someone could do it so the community could enjoy Plantsims again~!

What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.”
I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.)
What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

I don’t see the #SSSwish I submitted on your public list (I forgot to use the hashtag before) so I’m submitting it again. I would love to see a mod, or tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from pulling away from a hug after they asked for one in response to a Check Toddler. The toddler will hold up its arms with a ❤️ in the speech bubble then step back and refuse the hug, and the relationship takes a hit. I tried MCCC’s tuner to stop it but it didn’t work.

i would love some…chinese cc haha! With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. My wish is exactly hand accessories, specifically wedding rings, which don't conflict with SkinDetail eyelashes. It may be helpful to know that plumbobteasociety managed it in their RRS pack. Lastly, you guys rock!

I have another #SSSWish (if you don't mind). I don't know if it already exists but a mod which adds more family relationship options to CAS or the Sim menu. Like grandparents, cousins, step- and half-siblings, step-parents, etc. It would be easier instead of having to create additional Sims just to create diverse relationships.

I would love to see some more truly alien clothing options for the aliens, the males especially. I sometimes like to dress mine up in complete different outfits for their alien and disguise forms. Standing in the warm kitchen, slats of sepia light filtering through onto the counter in front of him, Martin doesn’t know what to do with his hands. He half expects them to go through the countertop entirely, glossy and solid as it is. He isn’t used to any of it, yet. The safehouse. Jon. Beams of sun pouring into his hands. After being deprived of everything of significance for so long, the longing that crashes over him is almost painful in its tangibility. He wants to laugh, to sob, to scream and hear it echoed back against the neat, square walls of the safehouse.
In the end, he doesn’t do any of these things. He makes eggs instead. He can do that, can’t he? Use his hands for something simple and plain and good.
(Or: In the safehouse after it all, Martin starts cooking.)
Notes: this fic really speaks to me a) because i project on martin like crazy and b) because food is also my love language. this fic is incredibly soft and it’s all about cooking!

Back in 1996, Elias has no idea why or how the Eye made such a powerful Avatar out of an 8 year old, especially when said 8 year old doesn't actually know he has any powers at all. Clearly such a child cannot be left outside the Institute's care.
Notes: This fic is legitimately brilliant. The author manages to capture the big ADHD mood and the precociousness of baby Jon while managing to write a wonderful storyline. Time travel! Elderly lesbians! A Jonah who is wildly in over his head but was walloped over the head with paternal instinct! Baby Gerry! What more could you possibly ask for?

Project: NPC
Thank you for all the ideas on my premades as NPCs post! There are some great ideas here, and many that I would not have thought of myself but are brilliant. I want to put them all in one place for my own handy reference but also to show off your creativity. :D
(Sorry, I just had to reply to each one, so it's kind of long...but if you all have stuck around this long, you should be used to that by now, ha ha!)
I don't find anything offensive here, Anon. I like them all, actually! Unexpected choices, but I can definitely see them all working. Nervous in particular surprised me but after I thought about it, I can see it. I often see him portrayed very sympathetically in the community (and understandably, considering his circumstances!!) but it's easy to forget he is just as mean as the Beakers!
I didn't even think of Castaway Sims! That's a neat idea and definitely one to consider. Love the other ideas too. Daniel in drama is giving me a good chuckle!
I love long lists and I love less popular premades. :D Mary on repair duty is an instant winner for sure, and I like so many of these ideas.
Lots of Castaway ideas! And all the prof ideas are good too. I tend to get all the professors mixed up, which can get confusing when Sims change majors and I realize I'm sucking up to the wrong one, ha ha. I really like Meetme's idea for CS Sims as locals and tourists but locals who actually work on the island is genius too! And a good compromise for weirdos like me who actually kind of like the strange mix of shipped locals and tourists...
Ooh I like this idea. If someone has either recreated Mrs C or somehow extracted her appearance for download, I would love to experiment with her doppelgänger!
The story potential with this idea is amazing. I have no idea how to mod this in, but what a wild backstory that could be! I always thought it would be cool if Bella is somehow in cahoots with the aliens and maybe engineered her own disappearance....

okay i'm already procrastinating and i don't plan on sleeping any time soon so here we go.
☆ ✩ my personal ranking for every season 1 Sanders Sides episode. ✩ ☆
i think it's going to be pretty similar to @dukeofonions' but let's see if i find something new to contribute haha. i see you didn't include that one about Patton in the Big Game or whatever, so i'm not including it either xd. also i think i'm going to count Accepting Anxiety as one episode only.
edit: i finished and now i dare you to drink a shot of water every time i say the word spanish or a version of the word comfort and become very well hydrated.
#16 I'm in a Disney Show
(i agree with dukeofonions here) i always forget this episode exists. it was ok in terms of being happy for real life Thomas but as a Sanders Sides episode it didn't do anything. the sides were just giving their opinions but it wasn't very funny or interesting. also i'm bitter because it made me look up the episode he was in and i didn't like it at all. i don't know if i'm too old for those Disney shows now but Thomas was literally the only good part of it, everything else was really dull and boring imo. a waste of time.
however, Logan supporting clickbait is one of the funniest things ever, and i'll never forget it.
#15 Becoming A Cartoon
i didn't hate this episode but it was just .. meh.. you know? several factors contribute to this. one, i couldn't feel much nostalgia for Butch Hartman's shows because i watched them in Spanish, and everything feels really weird when they speak English, i don't like how my old cartoons sound in English. two, it was disappointing to me because we were all desperately waiting for Plot™ and instead they give us this short episode about nothing (oh how the tables have turned now it's the other way around haha). and three, i didn't like the style of the animation :/ their faces and expressions freaked me out, Roman's douchey face still haunts me.
#14 Way Too Adult
here i'm biased because i don't like Patton much, and i didn't back when i watched the series the first time either, so this video was a little disappointingwithout the rest. also it wasn't relatable to me because i am still too young and dependent on my parents haha. but Patton is funny and it's funny to laugh at Thomas' struggling.
#13 The Dark Side of Disney
i've never been a fan of Disney movies. i actually never watched Mulan or the Lion King or Aladdin as a kid, so meh. i liked the ending, though, it was cool to see Virgil have fun and be right for once. it does make me a bit uncomfortable because the way Thomas tries too hard with Virgil's mouth movements and his low voice reminds me of a guy that had made me v uncomfortable not long before watching that video. so an icky feel overall.
#12 A New Year of Lying to Myself
this video was actually kind of fogettable to me. i had a hard time connecting the voices in the song to the characters and idk. i don't love it nor hate it, just .. neutral.
#11 My True Identity
pretty much the same opinion as dukeofonions, again. it's a good introduction and it's good that it was the beginning of it all but on its own it's not very special. i think it's awesome on Thomas to have come up with such a clever idea, like choosing the dad, the teacher and the prince and putting them together and match them with thoughts?? that fit so perfectly?? it really is just very impressive when you think about it, that it was just a random idea he had for a short 5 minute video.
#10 Taking on Anxiety
i liked this video a lot because when i watched it i had recently been a lot on tumblr, and found out through relatable posts that i had anxiety. so watching this video was really fun and it made me happy to feel so seen, specially the intro when Thomas just talks about what it's like to have Anxiety and Virgil is so smug about it.

okay now that those are out of the way things are going to get hard... all the following i love with all my heart so i'm going to rank them based on the smallest things.
#9 Growing Up
once more, Patton isn't my favorite. so that's why i'm putting this here, plus the echo at the end askjhsahg, but i love love this video. i remember we were waiting and oh so ready for the angst of nobody taking Patton seriously. and we received!! i love that though Roman and Logan are antagonists here, they're both so happy about Thomas wanting to have a healthy life. and i just adore the way Logan admits his mistake at the end and asks Patton directly. my heart... also aw.. the nostalgia. i remember none of us knew how to spell Patton's name and were writing it in very funny ways until Thomas and Joan told us lol.
#8 The Mind vs The Heart
when i watched this video the first times i didn't like it much, because i only had eyes for Virgil, but later i came back to it and loved it. so taking that into account i'm putting it here. logicality was the first ship i ever shipped in the show because i saw a gifset on tumblr of Patton screaming "what do you know about love?!" and Logan "apparently more than YOU" and the caption said "MARRIED", and i thought hey yeah... anyway. i love them. they're both my dads since that day.
this video is so so so relatable and i love it. Logan and Patton are so much fun arguing and i love how they compromise at the end and work together. im reconsidering.. i might move it higher? no, fine i'll leave it here.
#7 Making Some Changes
this video was absolutely hilarious. i personally couldn't see it as the Sides still once they were acted by Thomas' friends, i enjoyed it more as that bunch being silly and trying to be the sides but failing in so many ways, while sometimes nailing stuff suddenly. i really don't take this one too seriously as an episode. except Joan!Logan and Valerie!Logan, my beloved... i love how Joan acted as Logan and their voice and that they kept their ace ring on.. there's a reason i had them as my icon for so long. and Valerie looks a bit (a lot) like me with the glasses and dressed in dark colors, plus she spoke Spanish and there's .. no words to describe the joy i felt when seeing/hearing that. wait i'm getting emotional...
#6 My Personality Q&A
when i watched this Virgil was my favorite side and i didn't care much about the rest lol. when i heard his answers i related to him SO much it was scary, and also his voice is so soft and it was all very comforting. it was also when i first starting looking at Logan with more attention, because when he brought up Big Hero 6 and Fall Out Boy and said he didn't sing and would recite it like a poem? it only took a couple seconds but my brain said "me" and never went back.
now this video is a little underwhelming to watch for me, most of the appeal for me was in finding out the answers, and also watching it when we didn't know a lot about the sides. now we know more and want to know more so it's not as fun to me as it was first.
i wish so bad they'd do another one, although i know it would be more difficult with a much bigger audience, i think they can manage and i just need it. the chaos.. the energy.. they all being so savage with each other, learning little random facts about them you didn't expect.. i need it.

#5 Alone on Valentines Day
i love Valerie, and the idea of this video was perfect and so perfectly excecuted. every side just giving their crazy opinions on how to woo a random stranger, i laughed SO much. first with Logan speaking simlish out of nowhere? at that point i didn't know practically anything about the sims except that it was some video game and the whiplash of Logan going AYO and the rest killed me. then when Roman whipped out that dialogue in Spanish??? my life was completed. i've never felt more happy than i did in that moment gosh. just the hilarity of Roman's drama, the shock of them speaking Spanish suddenly like that, the absolute JOY of seeing a creator i like speak (may i say) perfect Spanish, the other characters' faces after that.. never been happier.
also the conclusion was so cute. Virgil solving the whole problem without wanting to. i loved it.
#4 Am I Original
i think this video speaks for itself. it was fun to watch them all do the ideas Roman had, plus Logan and Virgil nodding at each other, (i love them so much), plus the angst at the end of Roman's perfectionism, plus Roman's just perfect name. this video has it all.
i think Thomas posted it kind of late at night and i watched it at 7am in the classroom as i waited for my classmates to arrive and the class to start. (i usually was like 40 minutes early to school due to mom’s work). i had to contain my laughter and it wasn’t easy.
#3 Losing My Motivation
i started loving this video after a while, when Logan passed Virgil in the position for my favorite side. but once he did this episode was beautiful. it's so funny and i love Logan and Patton's dynamic so much. and the video also so damn relatable in general. i felt so seen with it because they named all the problems i have when procrastinating, down to Patton's vague explanation of his feelings, it's exactly how i feel every time i want to do stuff. and the plot twist! i can hear the dramatic sound effect and see how they all turn to Logan clearly in my head, and it always makes me smile. plus there's so much Logan angst that can be dug up and overanalized. i love to watch it over and over.
#2 Accepting Anxiety
this video was perfect. everything we wanted. we knew it was coming and it delivered perfectly, better than any fanfic done in the waiting time. the week between the parts was agonizing but in a fun way somehow. i remember precisely when i was watching part 2 in my living room. i screamed. and i cried, a lot. i was feeling terrible at that time in my life and Thomas was such a comforting presence and i can't begin to describe how this episode made me feel.
and later it is always fun to rewatch with all their different reactions to being in Virgil's room, the energy of that was on point. Thomas is such a great actor and the characters where just amazingly performed. plus it gave so much to talk adn think about, the idea of the rooms, lots lots of insight into the characters, foreshadowing, so much. it's just perfect i have nothing else to say.
#1 (for purely emotional reasons, ironically) My Negative Thinking
i think Accepting Anxiety is the best episode of the season objectively but my favorite is My Negative Thinking. because i love Virgil and Logan so much and seeing them argue together was and is great. the comfort.. i can't repeat that word enough throughout this post. it's such a soft video while not being overwhelming with Patton and Roman's outbursts. just quiet (mostly) and clear and with perfectly timed humour.
Logan my beloved.. learning spanish... helping me with my own anxiety.. and their debate was so good. and the fact that they were friends i- i can't. Virgil didn't think Logan liked him and Logan told him explicitly that he did and the casual softness of it i cant even. Logan is happy that he tried.. it's just marvelous. Virgil and Logan as best friends will always be my favorite pair, and their dynamic will always be what i strive for in any relationship i might form, with both sides silently comforting each other within their own limits and realistic perspectives. so nice.
