Do I Know You? (Alt link 'cause idk if the ao3 site is still a mess) [Fdtd] - This was for a secret Santa gift for my friend @lilmissuncreative, and I really thought the idea of a thief falling in love with a billionaire's daughter at an art museum was cute, and I still find it weird and creepy that DJ was at an art museum while I was almost done writing this lol.
Take a Picture (Fdtd) - This was also for my friend @yossariandawn based on one of the prompts she asked me to write. It was pretty sweet and cute, I thought, where Seth and Kate get to have their "honeymoon" haha (or much more like a very long, needed vacation 'cause they deserve it 😩)
I'm Out of My Head (Alt link) [Fdtd] - So... this was actually the first fic I've ever posted publicly, and it was also the first smut fic I've ever posted publicly, too lmfao! But I got this idea from watching an old show I used to watch in the 90's called Brotherly Love (that Lawrence brothers show), and then from rewatching Venom, like that movie pushed me to write it by that point instead of continuing to imagine it lmao.
Dirt (Fdtd) - So this is actually a fic I have never shown anyone and never posted, and it's still a rough draft (and I mean ROUGH), but it's like still one of my favorites because I liked writing Seth and Kate's dynamic, and Kate's feelings and what's going on through her mind from right after they left the Twister to the end of what I'm not going to spoil lol! But I really enjoyed seeing the highs and lows of their relationship, as messy as it was, and this fic was a hot mess honestly, which fits overall 🤣 But yeah, I wrote this years ago and I actually rushed in writing the ending paragraph just now because the story was already finished, but I needed a way to end it lol. But yeah, it's not really a polished story, but it's finished!
Lemonade (Fdtd) - So this was from two prompts someone asked me to do with a character kissing someone in secrecy and/or to shut them up, and I really do love the neighbor idea, and I also love how short and sweet it was. It was overall perfect and the only perfect fic I ever felt good writing honestly 😂 I have thought about expanding it for a while, but I already have 20 WIPs I haven't come remotely close to finishing either lmfao.

4 ) i’m gonna assume this is applying to all fandoms so i’m gonna list a couple: seth/kate (fdtd), feyre/rhysand (acotar), nancy/jonathan (stranger things), matt/karen (nmcu). honorable mention goes to blair/chuck (gossip girl).
11 ) lmao my favorites are the ones who get the most hate. kisa/santanico (fdtd) is the one i got actively bullied for back in the day and i keep finding more and more people who hate max (dark angel). gonna throw elena gilbert (tvd) in here too although katherine is my actual favorite because while i get not liking how she’s written in s5 (tbh i hated everyone but stefan and katherine by the time we got to s5), people often hold her accountable for decisions the salvatores make against her explicit wishes, in the show and especially in fandom. (honestly i could write a whole essay on how elena and other protagonists in similar shows are viewed.) honorable mentions go to jackie taylor (yellowjackets) and dawn summers (btvs).
22 ) lol my answer for this at one point was kate fuller (fdtd) but i don’t hate her i just hate the fdtd fandom (i do prefer her in the movie though). i don’t like castiel (spn) and think the show was better when it was just the brothers traveling across the country and fighting the supernatural but i don’t know if i’d say i hate him. anthony mackie as a person has kind of soured me on sam wilson but if he were played by anyone else i’d probably like him. OH willow and anya (btvs), i fucking hate both of them, willow especially.

WIP Whatever Day It Is Today
So @astarkey tagged me yesterday for a WIP Wednesday, and like...it’s Thursday, but also time is irrelevant, so anyway, here we go!
This scene is from one of the two FDTD/Punisher crossovers I’m noodling on. Background for this one: about a year after parting ways with Seth in 2x02, Kate ends up in New York City and starts working as an office manager for the post-DDS3 and TPS2 law office of Nelson, Murdock & Page under the name Kate Parker. Her current alias is important, because reasons.
It’s a quiet day in the office a few weeks later, when Matt suddenly lets out a curse and scrambles out from behind his desk. Kate doesn’t even have the chance to try to ask him what’s wrong before the office door is swinging shut behind him.
She blinks, and shakes her head, and goes back to the filling Karen asked her to do before they broke for lunch.
The woman in question pokes her head out of her office a few minutes later, not longer after Kate hears her wrap up her phone call, “Where’d Matt go?”
Kate shrugs, helpless, “He just cursed and ran off.”
“Okay then,” Karen glances around like there’s a sign in the office that Kate just can’t see. “Let me know when he gets back?”
“Sure.”
The ‘when’ he gets back turns out to be about fifteen minutes later. And strangely, he enters the office with a split lip and a bruise forming around his left eye, and he groans as he leans against the wall just inside the doorway, holding himself in a way that indicates that he’s got some sore ribs too.
She’s already up and moving before she knows it, headed to the small kitchenette to grab an icepack out of the fridge, “What happened?”
“It’s nothing,” he tries to wave her off while letting her press the ice to his eye.
At the noise, Karen comes out of her office, followed closely by Foggy. It’s interesting how Foggy makes a pained yelp, but Karen just crosses her arms over her chest and scowls, which is—not the reaction Kate was expecting, especially since it seemed like, in the few months that she’s been working for the firm, Karen and Matt are really close friends.
“What did you do?” She demands, sounds like she’s pissed.
“I didn’t do anything,” Matt says, implying that—someone else did do something?
Kate is very confused.
Karen’s scowl deepens while Kate steps back to allow Foggy to slide in and take over tending to Matt’s black eye, “And if I happen to go up to the roof, what would I find?” She asks in that tone that kind of reminds Kate of when her mom would ask Scott, wordlessly implying that he would not like the response she’d give him if he gave her anything but the truth.
“A little blood,” Matt reluctantly replies, shying away when Foggy pokes him the side.
With a sigh, Karen marches to the kitchenette, goes for the cabinet above the sink and grabs the first aid kit, flips it open on the counter and cracks open one of the quick-cool ice packs, grabs some bandages and then flips it closed and leaves it all on the lid, “You two really need to get past this,” she snaps.
“There’s nothing to get past. It’s dangerous, Karen.”
“You don’t get to tell me what is or isn’t dangerous. Need I remind you who you’re dating?”
Kate blinks. Kate met Matt’s girlfriend, Elektra Natchios a few weeks back, when they were closing up the office for the night. She’s tall and terrifying and reminds her way too much of Santanico Pandemonium for her to ever truly feel comfortable around her.
It’s only a little consolation that Foggy’s apparently terrified of her too.
Matt is about to respond to that, but Karen strides out of the office before he can, leaving them standing in the entryway in silence.
Kate steps back toward her desk, “Um, is there anything I should—”
“No,” Matt and Foggy say in unison.
“It’s a,” Matt adds, like he can see the confusion on her face. “A former client of ours. He and Karen are close.”
That comment makes Foggy yelp again, looking up at the ceiling like it’s going to open up and something is going to fall right on top of him.
“A former client who likes to beat you up on the roof?” She asks, incredulous.
Matt’s frown fades into—offense, “He did not beat me up.”

Do you have any thoughts on the rules of the Labyrinth in FDTD? I've been thinking a lot about how Richie didn't get a personalized vision while he was doing the trials, the way Seth did with his dad. And outside of the trials we got to see both Kate and Freddie (and later Carlos) get visions design to push or torment them. OR basically any thinking thoughts you have about FDTD, I can never get enough of those lol
Sorry this is late. I started to answer and then decided to wait until after I rewatched the episodes where Richie is actually in the Labyrinth.
I always kind of assumed that it was Santanico’s prepping of Richie mixed with his being in the mental-messing-with-people part less than the others that kept him from having too many personal aspects in the Labyrinth.
He was shot before the others found the secret tunnels/maze, and was dragged into Santanico’s personal chambers before being turned. And we know she prepared him for at least parts of the Labyrinth, so I think it’s possible she taught him how to focus his thoughts in such a way so it didn’t dig up anything too painful for him and thus risk him not completing the task she gave him. It still got some things, the big safe/vault he saw as a personal challenge, Pritchard who Richie has a hatred of, the insults to his family name etc, and the job itself is a sore spot for both brothers. These are little things, but Seth wasn’t even there for the conversation with Big Jim where he insulted Ray Gecko so that was just for Richie (who may have hated his dad, but he still became a boxman just like Ray. There's definitely some complicated feeling for both brothers about their dad, even if Seth's are more obvious), and then there was Richie’s failure with tricking Big Jim. This was the part of the plan that Richie was in charge of, the piece of it that he not only created but convinced Seth to let him lead/execute, and he failed at it, which digs into Richie's issues with wanting to be the boss/make decisions in the plans. And we know from Scott, who talks about his vision when he finds Jacob and Kate again, that they didn’t show us all of the tests/visions. Storywise, the writers/editors may have decided that Richie’s personal test/puzzle didn’t need showing and/or Seth’s was more interesting/important.
There might also be something to Richie’s pure intentions/mind that kept the challenges part of the Labyrinth from messing with him quite so badly. The Labyrinth, where Seth, Richie, and Carlos where sent into was comprised of what it could take from a person’s mind, while the temple/maze portion that the others, Kate, Scott, Freddie, etc, fought their way through had visions of hidden worries/fears/truths. It’s the Labyrinth that reads the intentions of people and that the culebras apparently send people into as punishment. There, Carlos and Seth both have alternative motivations for wanting to get in and get out, while Richie’s is more “pure.” I could see how him wanting to find the Special Snake for non-selfish reasons might be construed as pure compared to Seth’s “want to find it to free my brother from this woman’s clutches” and Carlos’s “wants to take over the empire” motivations. Seth’s motivation might also have played a role in why he got the personal puzzle he did, designed to drive doubt further into his head about Richie, destroying his reasoning for even going in and thus increasing his chasing of failure.
While the Labyrinth builds its challenges from the things in people’s heads, personal things designed to test them, I think the rest of the maze just takes what’s prominent on the person’s mind, as well as snagging things from one person’s mind to show someone else. Freddie’s worried about his daughter’s baptism, that’s what’s freshest to him after watching Kate and Jacob and thinking about what Carlos said about him losing his family, while Sergeant Frost had his most horrifying PTSD moment replayed for him over and over. But Kate got to see the truth of what her mom did, and while it was painful, it also opened up for her see the truth of what her dad’s been doing and forgive him. Her visions ultimately helped her and helped to repair the relationship she had with her dad. And now that I think about it, so did Freddie’s. It helped show him what was really most important to him which helped him let go of his obsession for revenge. The outside maze area was less pointed in its visions, not designed to test, and what it took and reflected back at them was less obstacles and more designed to show someone truths… or at least versions of the truth. (I don’t personally buy that it can show you the future or anything, so I don’t think what Freddie saw was set in stone to happen if he didn’t let go of his revenge, but more his fear manifested into a worst case scenario designed to force him to face the fact that he’s chosen revenge over his family.)
There might also be something to Richie and Kisa’s mental connection playing a role. She messed with his head for possibly months (hell, it could’ve been years, although I highly doubt it) prior to them even entering the Twister, and it wouldn’t surprise me if over time he developed a certain level of defense against too much digging. Santanico was reduced to only showing up in reflections (after revealing herself in full glory in the woods) until Richie got close enough for her to start showing up as full formed visions again. He’s had practice in blocking his thoughts, while Seth had next to zero prep of any kind before going in.

fanfic asks: 1, 4, 6, 9, 15, 20, 50, & 51!!
1. What was the first fandom you got involved in? Honestly, FDTD is the first fandom I’ve done anything approaching real involvement in! I was a long time lurker of many different fandoms, but this one is where I actually made accounts on the different platforms for myself, created stuff past a one off here or there (that mostly never saw the light of day lol) and actually interacted and even made friends in! However, if we are going for the first fandom I discovered, that would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms? Since I’m only counting this one, nope! Though I will admit, several months ago I did start to see some of the rude or even nasty stuff that is scattered throughout probably all fandoms, directed at real people, normally over characters or ships. And I did make me think real hard about how much time I was putting into this, and whether it was something I wanted to continue to be a part of, even if it is pretty rare overall here. I decided to stick around, and I’m glad I did, but I definitely am trying to be much more conscious with disagreeing publicly when it comes across my dash.
6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in. FDTD SethKate. Shoot, the only other kind of involvement in fandoms that I have OTPs in are Falling Skies Hal/Maggie. The Punisher’s Frank/Karen probably get in on just a technicality, since as much as I love them together, I could see them being happy with other people, but ONLY AFTER the events of the show and the impact they had on each other. I did make some vid requests waaaay back in the day for Life With Derek vids, since I couldn’t make any myself at the time! Here is one I found, but it’s not great quality anymore for some reason, and isn’t shippy, lol It’s Casey and her supportive therapist Paul, which is something I loved (VERY MUCH IN A NON ROMANTIC WAY) And I shipped Derek/Casey pretty hard, but I’m not sure they really reach OTP levels. And a fandom I am very much not in does hold the only other OTP slot I currently have (General Hospital’s Jason/Sam) which I talk about for question 20. The truth is I’m not really normally an OTPer, most shows I watch I couldn’t care less about the ships by themselves as long as I think everyone is acting in character and in interesting ways. Which is a prerequisite for me liking a show in the first place, so 🤷♀️
9. What are the best things about your current fandom? The people and the talent. AND THE SHOW, which I adore, for all its faults! But the people have really made this into something special.
15. Is there an obscure ship which you love? Hal/Maggie from Falling Skies probably qualifies for obscure, as there is shockingly little stuff for my favorite badass alien invasion resistance fighters duo.
20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking? OK, so this one may also count as obscure, they have a big presence on youtube but basically nothing on tumblr. Jasam aka Jason Morgan/Sam McCall from General Hospital. I don’t watch soaps as a general rule (not knocking them, by any means, they just rarely have stuff I am interested in, and the nature of the format makes it hard for me to stay invested) and when I first got cable I started catching glimpses of the late night reruns on the SOAP Network of some of the weirder ones, like Passions (haha thanks Spike for referencing it enough to catch my interest) and Port Charles, General Hospital’s confusingly related (but not really?) spinoff show. And then one day I noticed one of the Port Charles actresses (Sam!) was now on one of the big deal soaps, but was playing a different character! IN THE SAME TOWN?! but during the day, with less/no vampires and more/all mob antics. ANYWAY, end result is I got increasingly sucked into her storyline, and THEN THE JASAM STUFF HAPPENED, which it was so my kind of thing it’s not even funny. PARTNERS! IN CRIME! AND IN LOVE! BADASS SOFTNESS AND TRUST AND PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND PROTECT EACH OTHER AND THEN REALIZE WHOOPS WE’RE IN LOVE OH NO WHAT WILL WE DO. And the downside of loving a soap opera character or pairing is you just have to accept the fact that at some point they will become completely UNRECOGNIZABLE, either through characterization or actual recasting. 🤣 So while I did stop watching after the god awful “Sam sleeps with her stepdad and Jason has a secret love child” arc, I did tune back in for both their Mexico Road Trip Reunion and their (First) Wedding! And I still rewatch their 2004-early 2006 storylines on youtube, and I will always scan the supermarket soap mags for little glimpses into how things are going for them, which seems to be pretty well actually! They are definitely a real Legacy Couple now, and Jason the Original is apparently back too, which is nice.
50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction? Spuffy 😂. I don’t know how I found the first fanfic I read (other than clearly way to much free access to the internet) There’s a chance I was watching fanvids first, which led into finding out about fics. AND IN MY DAY THERE WAS NO YOUTUBE, so fanvids were much harder to find! RIP Buffyverse Database (i think that’s what it was called lol) But Spike was my favorite character on Buffy, and I fell so hard in love with the IDEA of Buffy and Spike having a romantic connection and acting on it, right up until it started actually happening in Season 6. It was a wild ride for twelve year old me, but I learned a ton about what kind of things I like in relationships, and want kind of things I VERY MUCH DO NOT LIKE. And for anyone who likes Spuffy, this is completely a personal preference, not a dig at the couple. I do understand the appeal, it’s just didn’t end up being what I wanted it to be.
51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go! Ok, so this is a bit of advice with some rant mixed in! If you send anon stuff to a writer, please remember you are talking to a real person, and someone who has put themselves out there in some way enough for you to comment on. If you choose to go anon, the very fact of your anonymity means that the only information they will have are the contents of that one message you’ve sent, and that you’ve chosen to not take the risk of putting yourself out there in the same way the person receiving the message has. And if all you are sending in that message is a correction, or disagreement, or (in more extreme cases) even an attempt to police your fandom by telling someone else that they are participating wrong (meaning not in a way you agree with) then your message? May not be given the good faith extended to people who DO put themselves out there, however imperfectly they do it. Good and effective communication is so hard, I really understand, and it’s a skill that all of us are still learning and sometimes failing at. I’ve been really impressed by how I’ve seen people handle messages I know I would not have been able to do with such grace! Personally, at this point the cons of anon stuff outweighs the pros for me, but everyone gets to make their own choice on how they handle their inbox thankfully! (anon asks can be toggled off and on, and you can even block anons instead of answering them!) But anon or not, we should all treat each other kindly, even people we disagree strongly with. And if you do, you may even change someone's mind or learn something new yourself. I know from personal experience it’s way more effective than the alternative, which doesn’t make it easier, but does make it worth trying.

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?
i started reading fanfic probablyyyy 14 or 15 years ago. My sister had given me her old laptop and she had left a couple of her stuff and some fic she had downloaded on it so i read them even tho i didn’t know the fandoms really well and i had no idea who most of the characters were.
i started writing fanfic i think 12 or 13 years ago. i don’t remember exactly when i started writing or publishing.
3. Are there any fics that inspired you to write what you do?
well, i have a couple of absolute fav fics (like anyone else i guess), but i can’t say that they actually inspired me to write. like i admire the prose and the plot and the characterizations of these fics but i usually find inspiration in the canon material, or in unrelated movie plots, or in situations from my actual life.

6. How do you find new fic to read? Where do you primarily read fanfiction?
i go to ao3, i type the pairing in the search window, i filter for english fics and then i go through all the pages, opening the fics that looks promising on new tabs. then i read.

well it’s actually kinda hard to figure out because i’m not super involved in fandoms anymore and i don’t know if the authors i love are well known or not. so, yeah, sorry x)
10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?
at the moment i’m very much back on my rogue one bullshit, but i’m also obsessed with fdtd. i’m also still very much into kastle and leverage. i used to be super into other star wars stuff, dghda, the magicians, captain america and wynonna earp but not that much anymore.
12. What’s your favorite title you’ve come up with and why?
i don’t really come up with titles tbh i just look up the lyrics of the songs i’m listening in repeat at the moment i’m writing a particular fic and see what fits best.
my current favorite title is for a fic i haven’t started publishing yet and it’s a 5+1 fics whose working title used to be “whump fest”. now it’s “you gotta love all the pain”
13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?
hahahah i’m 99% a pantser. i sort of know where i’m going but i very veeeery rarely outline my fic. out of all my wips, i’ve currently outlined only two and i can tell you that if anyone look at those outlines, they might think i wrote them while being high on LSD and having a stroke at the same time.
16. Do you research for your fics? If so, how deep of a rabbit hole have you gone down by accident when researching?
i mostly research recovery times and medical stuff the most and usually i don’t fall into an endless rabbit hole. i did however got sucked into a youtube vortex while researching snowboard tricks for my snowboard au rogue one fic.

Seth Gecko
First impression:
I’d never seen the movie okay. I didn’t know what to expect from him at all!! I honestly wasn’t sure I even liked him that much until like that scene where he punches out Chet at the Twister.
Impression now:
THE TRASHY AF LOVE OF MY LIFE. I have so many feelings about Seth Gecko it’d be impossible to list them all here. I think about him nearly every damn day.
Favorite moment:
I think it’d have to be in s3 when he’s trying to stop Kate from going after Amaru with the shotgun and how he’s like “easy, easy” at her for getting too riled up. XD SHE IS RUNNING HEADFIRST INTO DANGER ALREADY AND HE IS TRYING TO PROTECT HER. But there’s honestly so many favorite moments. But also jfc that shotgun... all the phallic symbolism there. 👀
Idea for a story:
SO MANY IDEAS. THEY JUST NEVER STOP. My latest one is this one where he and Richie are both coyote shifters. And I’ve had this idea for YEARS, but I’m just starting to explore it now.
Unpopular opinion:
Seth is not the smooth mfer everyone thinks he is. He is awkward and dorky af and just really great at hiding that. XD And he is not adventurous in bed. AT ALL. HE DOES NOT WANT ANYTHING UP HIS ASS ALRIGHT. Unless, of course, if Kate is suggesting it…

MY SUN AND STARS. I thought she was precious. Although maybe that was me projecting on Madie because I loved her as Ethel in Shameless so much. I really only watched FDTD because of her.
Impression now:
MY SUN AND STARS. I LOVE THIS GIRL SO MUCH. UGH. JUST HER HEART. HER GOODNESS. HOW PROACTIVE OF A CHARACTER SHE IS. HOW SHE’S ALWAYS LIGHTING A FIRE UNDER ALL THE BOYS’ ASSES BECAUSE WITHOUT HER NOTHING WOULD EVER GET DONE. She’s definitely one of my favorite characters of all time now. I love that she’s not afraid to go toe-to-toe with some supernatural assholes (and a couple of regular ones too) even though she is TINY. She is cute, but she WILL FIGHT. I just love that about her so much. And how every action of hers comes from a place of love. But she’s not perfect, and she may be good, but she is NOT nice and WILL ABOSLUTELY WRECK YOU.
Favorite moment:
There are so many, honestly. idk how to pick. But I love during the Mexican Honeymoon how she’s giving Seth so much shit for bungling the bank heist and then making excuses later. She’s not just gonna sit and take it okay. She’s giving him an earful about it and he’s gonna LISTEN DAMMIT.
Idea for a story:
Well, I already mentioned the coyote shifters thing… There’s also the Yellowstone road trip thing I’ve been working on. And then the two alternate scenarios of Seth running into her at Jed’s that @yossariandawn persuaded me to write that we were coming up with ideas for yesterday. XD So I started working on a couple little ficlets for that. One where Kate is shackled, and another where Seth walks in on Richie and Kate holding hands during the blood bond, and it’s an awkward little parallel to the Twister “you show me yours, I’ll show you mine” bit. XD

idk that this is an unpopular opinion necessarily, but some people don’t like to acknowledge or just don’t realize how much of a shit stirrer she really is!!

Idea for a story:
I did have an idea for a kind of time travel/fix-it fic that is also an Arthur/OFC story… I probably won’t write it now, but it’s like after his death in the game he time travels to the present day because of this talisman he got from a Native American chief and he meets a woman named Emma and they fall in love and get married and are expecting their first kid. BUT THEN. EMMA GETS SENT BACK IN TIME TO BEFORE THE BLACKWATER CATASTROPHE. AND PAST ARTHUR DOESN’T KNOW HER. BUT HE FALLS IN LOVE WITH HER ALL OVER AGAIN. lmfao it’s complicated which is why I never actually wrote it because I couldn’t figure out how to tell that story… But it was supposed to be like Outlander in reverse kinda...

I think that has to go to Arthur & Hosea. THAT’S HIS REAL DAD OKAY. IDGAF. I just love how patient he is with Arthur, even if he teases him sometimes. It’s always really affectionate and playful. And I didn’t really ship Arthur with anyone in the game, but if I did it would’ve been with Charlotte!! I loved their scenes so much!!
Favorite headcanon:
He didn’t actually die… and he lived out his days to the age of 100+. He was around for the invention of microwaves and television and pop music. He and Jack hung out sometimes and they celebrated the release of Jack’s first novel together. lmfao

The white trash brunch and “Oh” scenes. He was just so soft and open with Beth. He was TRYING.
Idea for a story:
I don’t write for that fandom anymore and never will again. But I did have a couple stories in the works though. One was a ZA fic where he and Beth are married with a newborn at the start of the apocalypse and it just follows the first few episodes with some changes because it’s also set a few years later. And another story I had was a singer!Beth au where she’s just getting famous and is dating Daryl and they have to keep their relationship a secret. And there were definitely fights with paparazzi planned. lol And a lot of sneaking around.

followers: I agree with everyone else who says the best part about this site is not knowing how many followers everyone else has. I will say, I’ve been on this site a long time and cycled through a lot of fandoms and sideblogs, and for some reason, my follower retention has always been pretty good, so I’m grateful everyone sticks around during whatever my interest of the month is
amount of sleep I get: during the week, I take melatonin to make sure I get at least 7-8 hours. The weekends vary—I’ll stay up way too late, and can usually sleep in on Sunday, but not Saturday, so it can be either 4 hours or 10 hours.

I have absolutely no problem being outside without shoes, and very often, I kick them off under my desk when I’m in the office at work. Wearing shoes for longer than a few hours is torture.
aesthetics: I feel like I’ve cultivated a very specific look but idk what I’d call it. Lazy punk, I guess, with a touch of high-femme from the neck up and androgynous from the neck down. I almost always have bright lipstick and eyeliner on, if not a full face of makeup, but it’s usually paired with a black t-shirt, jeans, and combat boots/Vans/Chucks. Also, right now, I have a third of my head almost shaved—it’s a little bit longer than that, mostly because my hair grows so damn fast—and I’ll probably keep it that way for a while.

1). Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars. I don’t think anyone’s surprised that they’re on my list but I feel like I have to explain why I love them both so much. They’re both my favorite and I don’t think I can choose between them??? Anakin is such a disaster and he made so many terrible choices but his story to me will always be the most heart breaking one of all. And Obi-Wan god he lost so much but he’s so good??? He’s been through hell (they all have and Anakin too!!) but Obi-Wan still managed to find the good in people and Anakin I the end managed to do good in the end, fought to free himself and remember who he was before everything happened. And I just fucking love both of them damn much!!!
2). Thor, Marvel. #what an icon #legends only #the only one who gets four solo movies I love him??? Catch me crying the club over Thor 4: More Thor when it comes out in theaters bc when I see him imma be like that’s my baby and I’m proud!!! Like he’s been through so much and has suffered so much and lost so much and he’s still so good??? He’s so good and he’s still trying his best and I just love him so fucking much???? Protect Thor 2kforever!!!
3). Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Moon. So like Sailor Moon is the earliest anime/movie that I remember watching. And I remember loving her so much and wanting to be just like her! Like 5/6 year old me would go to the blockbuster with my parents and older sister and I would always without fail pick Sailor Moon. Like she’s just so good and wonderful and she’s trying her best and always trying to be and do good??? I just love Usagi so much!!
4). Yuuri Katsuki and Viktor Nikiforov, Yuuri On Ice. It’s really hard to choose between the two of them bbc I just love them both so much???? And they’re both the most relatable characters ever???? Both of them are literally #legends only!!!! And I love their characterization and character development so much???? That Yuuri found his passion and confidence for what he loved again with Viktor and Viktor found his inspiration with Yuuri!!! They’re both just so good and wonderful????? But if I had to pick a scene that really cemented my love for them it would be the banquet scene aka the most iconic scene in the show aka the best plot twist in the history ever!!! Like looking at the scene and then all the characters interactions and reasoning all makes so much sense????? Like they legit met a year ago and Yuuri literally met Viktor and talked to him and danced the night away with him and everyone else and accidentally seduced him a year ago at the banquet except that Yuuri was so drunk that night that he didn’t remember anything the next morning and left. Meanwhile Viktor was pining and being like why hasn’t he called me???? Like what kind of icons?????? I love them??????? ALSO ALSO the fact that everyone had pictures and videos of yuuri and the banquet that night like oh my god!!!! I love this show I love these characters so much!!
5). Harry Potter, HP. Like it’s so hard for me to choose a fave character from them. Bc I love them all so fucking much for different reasons and they all just tried their best to survive, and Harry god Harry lost so much more than any other character and he still manages to be so good and so loving and keeps getting back up. And I love it, I love my son so much?????? Like pls protect him at all costs and also he’s such a sarcastic little shit I love him???
6). James Flint, Black Sails. James Flint is a fucking legend and I would die for him. Like I just really love the way they built his backstory and shows him in the present and in the flashbacks and how he became who he was and how he wasn’t always like that. I love that James did what he had to do to survive and that he never stopped being good. And y’all...y’all the fact that Miranda/Thomas/James was canon and they were all so in love?????? Fucking killed me?????? Like oh my god. And then and then y’all...y’all the book scene, where Miranda gives James the book Thomas left him to remind him, and that it said “My truest love, know no shame” y’all what the actual fuck I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it. And and oh my goodness, when James got to the plantation right, where they had the prisoners, and someone looks at him, and it’s fuckinbg Thomas, and they way they got towards each other and hold each other so gently oh fucking god y’all my heart. I love them so much. I love James so much he deserves nothing but happiness I’m crying!!!😭😭
7). Santanico Pandemonium, FDTD: the series. I’ll admit that one the reasons why I love her so much is bc Eiza González portrays her character in the show and anyone who knows me knows how much I love her. I don’t think I’ll ever not love her??? She’s just such and amazing character and her character development through the seasons makes me love her all that much more. Because she’s suffered so much, she’s been through so much shit but she’s still surviving, still fighting and still getting back up. Her backstory to me is one of the most heartbreaking in the show and just...like how can I not love her??? How can I not root for her when she fought to get where she is??? She’s amazing and I love her and I would die for her tbh 😭
8). Will Graham, Hannibal. I just???? Really fucking love Will???? He’s my fave from the show tbh???? Adopts dogs he finds and names them and just wants to spend his time with his dogs like wow will same bc I too would much rather spend time with dogs. But also he’s such a bamf!!! An icon!!!! A disaster too!!!! (Bc he really is a disaster will what are you doing smh smh).
9). Nina Zenik, Six Of Crows. I just??? I just really fucking love her so much???? And I love her characterization in the books and her relationship with everyone but especially her relationship with Matthias (like their background story and her background in general is so fucking amazing????) And her journey through the books is so fucking lovely and heartbreaking and I honestly think that if I had to pick a fave character from the books it would be her (not that I don’t love all of them bc I do and I’m crying just thinking about them) 😭
10). Daenerys Targaryen, Game Of Thrones. I honestly don’t think I could ever hate Dany. And her character is the one that I fell in love with immediately when I first saw her on the show and she’s been through so much.

First fic. So we won’t talk about my first ever fics from high school (which no longer exist on the internet, and even if they did I wouldn’t know where to find them, but I digress), but my first AO3 fic was This Is For, way back in October of 2014. To say the Avengers movie got me back into fic and writing is a bit of an understatement and a half. This Is For was my attempt at an A to Z one-shot collection focused on Darcy Lewis, either paired with Clint Barton or Bucky Barnes. I got through 11 of the 26, and probably won’t ever finish it, but there are some fun ones in that 11, including the 2 fics based on Darcy being a fairy, the one where Darcy is friends with a grim reaper for cats, yes you read that correctly (H Is For Harvest), and the one that fuses the MCU with the Lizzie Bennett Diaries universe, because Darcy and Darcy and I couldn’t resist.
Softest Fic. I think one of my softest is probably Going Through The Unimaginable, a post TLJ Damerey fic for the five minutes that I could stand being even on the fringes of the SW Sequel Trilogy fandom. Also Boundary and like that for Kastle and the short Innumerable Classics for SethKate. I also feel like most of my SOFT also include a good helping of drama/angst, so like…there’s not much that is straight up s o f t.
Fic I’m Most Proud Of. Oh it’s GOT to be we don’t make the future, we just know it, because I wrote that in like AN HOUR and even I’m impressed with how I made it actually connect to the canon of the show because let me tell you, that was NOT in the original plan. And also because it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever written and I just love it so much. Also shoutout to Instead Of One Day Of Presents (We Have Eight Crazy Nights), which has turned into a lot of peoples’ favorite Hanukkah fics, and was a huge indulgence for me and reminded me that fic is FOR indulgences and that you should write whatever you want because it’s fun.
Fic That Shows My Progress. I think it’s a tie between merry band of creepily religious teenage vampires, because that was the first time I can really think that I actually finished a fic in the POV of the male character of one of my ships. And also you squeeze my hand three times, because not only did I finish it in two and a half days, but the fact that I wrote THREE separate outsider POVs is something I haven’t done before.
Favorite Wip. I….love all of my 800 WIPs equally? Right now I have a few front of mind: The one I WILL finish this week because it’s SHORT I SWEAR, the TouchTunes Incident fic (which has evolved a bit, but like in a good way that is also going to push me out of my writing comfort zone and I just need to DO IT (which yes, is a double entendre, so take that as you will)), and the Coffee Shop AU Sequel that was supposed to be short but of course not. After that I think I want to dive back into one of the FDTD/Punisher crossovers, but I’ve said that before so we’ll see what my brain actually lets me do.

FDTD for the fandom and Audrey/Nathan (Haven FTW) for the ship!

FDTD Fandom:
Favorite character: TIE between Kate and Seth.
Least Favorite character: Sex Machine, no contest. I try really hard to understand even deeply unlikable characters, heck, I even actively enjoy deeply unlikable characters, BUT THIS GUY. If the show hadn’t treated him like he was some hilarious joke, while having his evil actions rooted in such a real world way, maybe I would feel differently.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): SethKate! Freddie/Margaret if they can get their shit together. Hmm after that, it’s all non-canon I guess, I do love the DRAMA of Richie/Dakota as a Dark!Ship (but probably just onesided on Richie’s end, but I could be convinced on Dakota’s end by some truly excellent writing, since we don’t know a ton about her) Scott/Kalinda sounds adorable, for two people who never even interacted. I truly believe the maid and the desk clerk at the Dew Drop Inn are the very best of crotchety old friends, so maybe that can be my fifth. You know they just sit around complaining about all the guests all day, and what more do you need out of a relationship than that 🤣
Character I find most attractive: Seth Gecko, the handsome devil.
Character I would marry: Oh my gosh lol. I’m not sure I’d want to marry anybody here, for different reasons, but I guess if I had too, I’ll go with Seth again.
Character I would be best friends with: Kate, and I would get along with Margaret and Ximena too. And Seth would be entertaining in a train wreck kind of way to have has best friend. WAIT, CAN I HANG OUT WITH UNCLE EDDIE AND DO CAPERS? Uncle Eddie it is.
a random thought: Richie didn’t get a traumatic flashback in the Labyrinth, and I’ve been thinking so much about that. I’ve basically decided it has something to do with the purity of the mind stuff that made him a good candidate for the tests, but I haven’t worked it all out in my mind yet. IT’S HIS BRAIN BARRIER, AMIRITE, @alwaysupatnight? 😂
An unpopular opinion: Carlos seems to get a fair amount of (understandable) hate, but I really liked him as a villain! He did very villainish things, and was entertaining to watch in my opinion. And I also didn’t mind his season 3 character reboot, I enjoyed the fact that he was so changed in a mysterious way. I stll think it would be a mistake to trust him, but I liked the uneasy (and I think temporary) alliance we got at the end of the season.
my canon OTP: SethKate!
Non-canon OTP: Let’s go with Scott/Kalinda, cause I want him to get some romance at some point, and the landscape is pretty bleak for him canon wise.
most badass character: bunch of badasses in this group, so this is a tough one. I’m going to say Kate because she is the one I would least like to have to plot against. She is quite the force of nature when she needs to be.
pairing I am not a fan of: Kate/Richie, I see them as fundamentally platonic at the end of the day.
character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I wish we’d seen a lot more of a lot of the characters, but I’m not sure I would count that as screwing up so much as the show prioritizing some people over others. Freddie in season 3 didn’t land right for me personally? And I would have loved to see Ximena and him teamed up nonromantically and have her stay alive.
favourite friendship: There aren’t a ton of friendships in this show, mostly family and uneasy alliances, but I would have loved Scott and Richie as frenemies. I would 100% watch them have side adventures while snarking at each other.
character I want to adopt or be adopted by: I want to adopt Scott, because I worry so much damn much about that kid. I don’t know if I could help him, but I WOULD TRY MY BEST OKAY.
Audrey/Nathan behind the cut!
Audrey/Nathan Ship:
I haven’t seen the last five episodes yet, since I fell behind ages ago, and I always mean to go back and finish the series, but the mythology is SO DENSE that I also feel like I need to rewatch it from the beginning first so I can follow it properly. So while I have a general idea of what happens, I don’t know the nitty gritty of the ending.
when of if I started shipping it: I liked them from the start, but what really pushed me over into actually shipping them together was the “Nathan can feel Audrey” reveal. HIS FACE. The way it complicated their attraction and budding friendship IN THE BEST WAY.
my thoughts: I love them separately, too. And this whole thing is my thoughts, so I don’t know what else to add.
What makes me happy about them: PARTNERS. IN LOVE. WITH SO MUCH RESPECT AND UNSPOKEN UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THEM, AND THEY BOTH JUST CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER SO DAMN MUCH. I have a type, what can I say lol.
What makes me sad about them: THE RESETS. Oh my gosh, that made me so sad. Memory loss stuff always hits me so hard.
things done in fanfic that annoys me: I never really read enough to pick up anything that annoys me about them. I’m not an OT3er with Duke, and I know that had some popularity.
things I look for in fanfic: I read like all the fic right after the touch reveal, and I loved all the different takes on how she found out about it, and what they decided to DO about it. Other than that, just general togetherness, as long as it’s well written.
My kinks: partners solving problems together, competence, lots of touching, sharing their traumas, trusting each other, Nathan being a bit crazy when it comes to saving Audrey, Audrey doing the right thing anyway.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: If Nathan flat out died, I could be convinced of Audrey/Duke in the earlier seasons (pre Jennifer) but it would have been kind of a dark ship, and Nathan would have to be permanently off the table. But I do prefer Audrey and Duke as friends. Nathan would never love again though, let’s be real.
My happily ever after for them: Together, Audrey remembers her time with him and no more resets, and they solve crimes and keep the Troubles at bay. Also BABIES, because we know how much Nathan wants babies. He would be such a great stay at home dad while they were little, too.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: they take turns, but Nathan is such an snuggler, there’s no way there isn’t constant spooning going on.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Solving crimes after eating breakfast in bed!

There is so much going on with the Nine Lords and I want answers. Which basically means I get to make my own since they’re all dead and there’s no more episodes of FDtD coming. (And this is now in two parts. Find the other one here.)
So Malvado gave his business to Richie, who then partnered up with Seth to run it in no small part due to a push from Venganza via Ximena, but then six months later we learn the Lords have demoted them and they had just crawled their way up to being bagmen/collectors.
Personally, I think the Lords demoted them out of a panic. They aren’t in the habit of giving up their seats of power, are immortal beings that have ruled for well over 1,000 years and, as far as we know, no Lord has ever stepped down/left before... probably.
But by the end of S2, two of the Lords are dead and at least one of them had a large criminal empire that he promised to a baby vamp who hasn’t even gotten his Special Snake Power yet, and said baby vamp wants to share the title with his all too human brother. And of the two Lords we see in season three, they are 50/50 on whether Seth being human means he can even be in the business. Venganza was clearly outvoted on the Make the Gecko Brothers Co-Lords idea, but some of the Lords must have still thought that Malvado’s decision held some weight, so they were demoted as a compromise. But I’m still wondering who has Malvado’s business during those six months between seasons? Are they being held in trust for when the Geckos earn their way back to the top? Did they plop some other culebra on the throne and tell them to have it? Did they draw straws to see who would take it over? It was implied that the Lords were going to honor Malvado’s bequeathing of his title and territories to whoever he chose, and Malvado did seem to think he could just give his empire away to whomever he wanted and not have it questioned, so there are clearly some kind of law or rule about who gets to take over when a Lord retires. Which leads me to think that Seth and Richie are trying to earn their way back to the position of Lord and their work for the remaining Lords is like an internship, all the shitty gigs and zero thanks, but with the tentative promise of a real job at the end. And while Seth and Richie are little Lords-in-training, someone who knows Malvado’s businesses enough is holding it in trust, keeping things from running into the ground and the culebras under his command from going wild. Probably also part of the argument against the Geckos being co-Lords, seeing as they have zero experience doing anything of the sort. Working directly under the Lords helps them learn the ins and outs of culebra politics and would keep them from destroying everything under their command in ignorance. But I still wanna know who’s keeping the throne warm while the brother’s complete their internship.
And on that note, what happens to the Lords territories now that they are all dead?
If the Lords hadn’t already left it to someone else and stepped down, then to the victor goes the spoils. Meaning Amaru would get six out of the nine empires (Venganza was no fool and technically killed herself, so I'm going with that that negates Amaru's claim on her territory), Seth and Richie were left Malvado’s and will find themselves as Lords much sooner than planned.
As for Oculto, he was practically a hermit with only a handful of culebras being under his domain and with the well gone he doesn't have much left. There’s a chance that his second in command at least lived and could take over his minuscule bit of land. Not that I think he was in anyway less a Lord because he had less physical land, Oculto kept the bloodwell going and had at least one artifact tied to that even. Which not only held some pretty powerfully tasty blood and the queen of hell, but also seemed to be able to be used in transactions with people like the gatekeeper guy. He had power even with his otherwise secluded nature, but I don’t think he much left after the bloodwell was drained.
To prevent fighting amongst themselves, I’m pretty sure the Lords had strict laws regarding how they can’t conquer another Lord’s land or interfere in their rule, its why they gave the credit of taking care of “a couple of corrupt Lords” to Freddie. As a Peacekeeper he’s not bound by culebra law and is allowed to take on any Lord without repercussions. (Santanico was under Malvado’s command and as such could take out her own Lord. Had she targeted the others, they wouldn’t have stood by so easily.)
The question then that rises up is who gets credit for killing Amaru, and thus gets the six territories and would the culebras even allow such a combining of territories? Kisa ran her through with a sword, but last I checked that’s not fatal to culebras and Xibalbans. Kisa is the culebras’ chosen ruler, and we see her accept her role at the end of season three (somewhat reluctantly), but technically Kate struck the killing blow to Amaru. However I doubt Kate wants to lead, and her mortality might put a damper on her claim.
Either way, it has to be chaos following season three. Even with the Geckos, Kisa, Kate, and the possible seconds still around to take over, there’s got to be a crazy amount of power struggles and questions and trials. Which actually is a subject of a fic I’ve got some 20k words and counting on.
I’m so curious about what exactly happens after, how they solve these issues. But this has gotten away from me and lead to more questions than answers. I’m getting there, trying to figure out possible answers, but I don’t have them yet.
