I can always tell who hasn't been on this site way longer than is healthy (or just didn't care) based on if they believe the hostility against transmascs/trans men is some new wave of exclusionism.

Tbh I don't find other forms of attraction important enough for me to identify them myself. That doesn't mean that others who do are stupid for doing so. It doesn't mean people identifying their inability to feel those attractions are stupid for doing so.

I don't see a reason to say if I feel platonic attraction or not, but aplatonic ppl do and should be able to label that without pushback or ppl saying it doesn't matter. It matters to them and that's the point of these labels. We should support them instead of silencing them.

When it was first discovered, Eevee was originally named Eievui (sometimes spelled as Eevoi), but the scientist who discovered its ability to evolve in reaction to evolutionary stones misspelled it as “Eevee” in his studies (he also coined the term “eeveelution”, albeit jokingly) and the new name ended up sticking.

related to my previous post - i am now once again thinking about Jason specifically introducing himself as the son of Jove and Juno rather than Jupiter and Juno (because “Jove” specifically usually refers to Jupiter as a father-god) and i think that’s Very Fun

Jason referring to himself as the son of Lupa #cause man. it's really fun to think about Jason grappling with his identity #and using different labels for himself to try to find which he identifies with and not how others identify him #and using labels to show people how he identifies himself and HEY BOY HOWDY DOESNT THAT SOUND FAMILIAR #[shaking Jason] I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE #anyways Jason having blatant potential for a really on-the-nose queer-coded arc aside #genuinely i do like Jason's grappling with self-identity (and outward presenting identity)#its very fascinating to me and a fun look into his character!#is this because im nonbinary or because i like character analysis? the world may never know

in a high fantasy au davey would be an incredibly accomplished wizard who published his first spell when he was like. 9. and takes it all very seriously not just because he's interested in it but because he's realized what a magical legacy means and feels like he has to do something bigger than himself and help people with the gift he has. jack would be a like. bog witch who doesn't even mean to cast magic he just like. waves his hand and is so in tune with himself that it makes things happen. they infuriate each other

#the Big Moment tm of their relationship arc would be in a battle #jack pauses and very carefully casts a spell that davey has been working on but hasn't finished yet that jack has only seen in pieces #but requires the type of careful consideration that jack shys away from and davey uses #davey makes eye contact as the spell goes off and knows exactly what jack just did. appreciates that the heat of the moment worked #to give that last shove to completion the spell he hadn't managed to finish needed #and then jack gets hurt and davey spins. reacts on pure instinct in a way he's never let his magic do before #and in true jack fashion the spell he can't even identify and didn't mean to cast flys true and ends the fight #and now they have the understanding of each other they hadn't before #newsies #jack kelly #davey jacobs #javid
