FIRMLY OBSESSED with all the grimwalkers falling in love in some shape and form- with a witch/other means- each time they're created, they're genetically unable to follow in Belos footsteps </3
Yeah!! I always liked the idea that every grimwalker has had someone, not always a romantic interest, but someone who loved them, opened their eyes to what real love feels like, with that love being what eventually drives them to turn on Belos.
So, a parental figure, a friend, a lover, a child, an animal etc. Love comes in so many forms. I feel like Evelyn, in Belos' eyes, was the personification of the Boiling Isles itself and how it tempts and destroys humans, when all she did was love a boy. So every grimwalker had an "Evelyn", who "destroyed" them even if it wasn't always romantic. (Though romantic cases do incite a rage in Belos like no other.)
I like to imagine that the former Golden Guard's "Evelyn" was Darius. He was his mentee and I suppose he sorta became like a little brother figure to him. He was the person who motivated him to eventually deflect.
I cannot stress enough that when I refer to the grimwalkers' loved ones as being an "Evelyn" I'm speaking from Belos' perspective. But the fact of the matter is that no grimwalker will ever truly have something that perfectly mirrors what Caleb and Evelyn had. Because Caleb and Evelyn are long dead. And no matter how hard Belos tries, Caleb will never truly live again. Neither of them will.
The only "fate" at play here regarding every single grimwalker finding someone to love and betraying Belos as a result is the work of the hypothetical writer who loves cosmic irony. (I say hypothetical because idek if this is the canon case. I just love to run my mouth.)
But in universe? It's a coincidence. There's no destiny to speak of that leads them to their soulmate, nor a curse from the Devil himself to torment poor Philip Wittebane. It's just because the grimwalkers are people and it's in peoples' nature to love and be loved. And Belos is just here scratching his head wondering why the fuck this has happened every single time without fail, because he doesn't understand people. He hasn't been a person in centuries.

hello there i have finally slept but woke up at 2;00 am what do i do
warning: rant fuelled by one (1) cup of jasmine tea, Re1999 brainrot, and a weirdly good 5 hours of sleep idek if half of the people on this blog know what Re1999 is
anyways thinking of ReM! MC getting isekai^2 (at least not cubed) into the Reverse 1999 world because. time-reversing storm exists and uhm St. Pavlov Foundation being eerily similar to the SCPF (LITERALLY ONE LETTER OFF)
assuming that MC reverses time when they die, and storm unaffected areas n devices are also unaffected by MCs time-reversing dying (because maybe they work the same way), Timekeeper and her harem the gang would probably detect and think they're a unique arcanist (also thought that they're maybe working or the manus vindictae??) and investigate them despite MC technically being human by blood and they're trying not to die via storm syndrome (i like to think it still affects them because the imagery of MC eating a brick of gold nonchalantly is fun)

I'm currently applying for a scholarship and I have to submit an essay and a video for it and the offer closes on march and I haven't done anything yet because of how much terror the thought of not getting it causes me. I've cried a lot over this cause if I need it to afford the uni I want and I feel like I'm running out of time but Idek what to write or say or do?? I'm so anxious :( Could I get some comfort from GE, SE and (if he has the emotional capacity for it) my beloved Suit? :(((
GE Saeran may not know what it feels like to have the deadline of a scholarship on his shoulders but he knows what it feels like to have a deadline.
Sometimes, he thinks about how hard it was for him to get all of his work done in the nick of time. He had a couple of close calls during the time he spent in the information room, constantly trying to find all the information that was handed to him and, frankly, even more than that. There might have been guidelines for him to follow through on but the expectation was always way more than what was laid out on paper.
In his situation, he didn't have a choice but to get the work done. He could get the work done or he could be punished. Now, your situation is not as severe as that, the only thing that could happen to you, at worst, is that you miss out on the opportunity to get the scholarship you know you want.
He can't tell you what to do or what to say, but he can help you sit down and work through some of these worries. Perhaps the reason why you're so afraid to get started is because you're afraid of failure. But, you miss all of the shots you never shoot, and if you don't let yourself take a chance on what you want, you'll never know one way or the other. Take a deep breath, take his hand, and look at the little prompt siting in front of you.
It may seem like a life or death opportunity but as long as you treat it as a chance to do better for yourself, it won't feel as heavy as it does right now. It doesn't have to be the essay of the century, nor does it have to be the video of the year. All you have to do is answer the message that is given and put your heart into it. He wants to see you follow your dream, and for you to follow your dream, you have to be willing to put those dreams into motion.

Okay I was so excited about this one!!! This is such a good one just because of the sheer amount of biblical allusions that fall within the idea of woods or forests. Like Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote an entire book about it, that is now used as torture for high schoolers. Like, forests are often seen as respite and peace from the daily noise and chaos, starting around like. The Industrial Revolution. when machines and stuff started ruining the environment. It’s the place you go that’s quiet enough that you can speak to God and shit like that, like you become in touch with your innermost self. However, BEFORE the industrial revolution (think Salem Witch Trials era), the forest was where you went to meet the devil. That’s where you signed his black book and became a witch and probably danced around naked and stuff idek. That’s probably exactly why Anathema lives in a cottage in the forest. So it’s a good start there.
I’m thinking that real first scene we see them together in, when they get roaring drunk about the impending apocalypse and from where they are now, armageddon was like. nothing compared to the shit going down now. in hindsight, it all seems so simple
First off, there’s a literal Polaroid of them But the real good stuff here is that this is arguably the time period that Aziraphale realized he actually liked Crowley, not in a like-like way but like a hey i’m more than fond of this guy he’s my best friend sort of way. Which means, it’s also the moment that Aziraphale starts to come to terms with the fact that he’s more ambiguous than other angels. Angels are good. White. Right? And Demons are evil. Black. But Aziraphale realizes that he isn’t just white. and Crowley isn’t just black. They’re ambiguous. Or, you could say, in screaming color…
So this is kind of a double entendre here because on the one hand, it’s the actually idiom of “out of the woods” meaning out of danger, which they basically spend every second since Adam was born in, even after armageddon doesn’t happen, so there’s that part of it. But also, like I said before the woods are this dichotomy of some higher power happening which leads me to-
So this could definitely be a reference to the moment they switch back into their right bodies and Crowley looks to see if anyone’s watching-which they aren’t- and says “all clear” (i think. something like that). But it also plays into this symbolism that the woods/forest are God and Satan, and therefore also the domains they epitomize- Heaven and Hell- and that to properly get out of danger, Crowley and Aziraphale have to leave the “woods” altogether- Leave Heaven and Hell. Which is exactly what Crowley has been trying to do
I mean. Come on.
It’s giving “You go too fast for me, Crowley” 😭😭
They have that one fight where Crowley says he’s leaving and he’s taking all his stuff and going to Alpha Centuri. I don’t even know that’s just what I immediately thought of.
Okay this one is a little bit of a jump but i feel like it works so i’m using it anyway- just stay with me here. So we’ve established that the woods are Heaven and Hell and their stupidass inability to get along. If you really think about it though, it’s not Heaven™️ and Hell™️ that are keeping them apart. It’s not even God and Satan. It’s actually their bosses that don’t want them together- Gabriel and Beelzebub. They are then the monsters. Okay stay with me here. So you know that saying that’s like “i can’t see the forest through all these trees” or some shit? It’s basically saying in this context that Heaven and Hell are both made up of individuals. It’s not just a forest without all the goddamn trees right? Which, by that logic, Aziraphale and Crowley are both trees, but you know who else is? Gabriel and Beelzebub. They’re literally just like each other. I don’t even know if that makes any sense but it made sense in my head lmao

🙃 weird fact: god idek… just gonna go with something I learned today which is that famous writer Henry David Thoreau kept such detailed notes of yearly bloom times of local flowers that his data were used by modern researchers to determine how much earlier in the year the first blooms happen, which is approx 3 weeks earlier this century compared to 1861.
🥤go to Starbucks order: atm it’s a brown sugar oat shaken espresso, but a vanilla iced blonde latte is my usual staple

MBTI Personality Types Tag (MC/LI)
Thanks for the tag, @banirareiko!
I... have a lot of MCs. I've written for a few LIs, but I'm gonna keep this to Bobby and Henrik, both of whom I've written chaptered fics for, and their respective MCs. I'm also not gonna spend too much time analyzing each one, for the sake of space.
Let's start with...
Bobby. I have him as an ESFP - The Entertainer. It feels apt, doesn't it? I do think there's a case to be made for other types, but Bobby's social, sensitive to others' emotions (helping all the girls through their problems), and spontaneous.
Now for all some of Bobby's MCs!
Josie - IDEK. Honestly, I've done the MBTI test for her 3 times and gotten different results each time. She's a mystery wrapped in an enigma. She is an Aries though, if that helps! I'd say she's an outgoing introvert, though. She can be the life of the party and cause all sorts of drama, but then she retreats to her own personal space. The rest, I dunno.
Meg - Sweet Meg is an ISFJ - The Defender. I took the test for her ages ago, and I think it fits pretty well. "...many Defenders struggle to take the initiative when it comes to dating. Asking someone out can be incredibly uncomfortable for Defenders, who tend to worry about not only rejection but also violating unspoken social rules." Need I say more?
Scarlet - I had the most fun doing her test, because, well... She's a 17th century aristocrat-turned-pirate. Some of the questions made me laugh because they would've had very different meaning for her than for us. Anyway, she's an ISTP - Virtuoso.
Next, let's talk about...
Henrik. He's an ENFP - The Campaigner. ENFPs are described as free spirits - outgoing, openhearted, and open-minded, and they long for meaningful, emotional connections with people. IS THAT NOT HENRIK IN A NUTSHELL?! Honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The more I read about ENFPs, the more I kept nodding.
Moving on to his MCs...
Alex - The test said ESFP, but I disagree with it and after perusing the other types, I'm more inclined to think she's an ISFP - The Adventurer. Her fic was short and I didn't get too in-depth into her as a person, but this fits my mental image of what she's like outside of the villa as well as in.
Amber - She's an INFJ - The Advocate. This is one where I felt the test got her right, and even though her fic is only 4 chapters long and it's mostly smut, I think her personality type shows through pretty well in the way she cares for Henrik.

Organizing my thoughts in the chance I take The Streetlight Shone Brighter... and expand out the concept into a full fic.
Because someone suggested it and I want to do it if my brain can make it happen
Relevant Headcanons:
Armand is the relationship Daniel was in in the early - mid 70′s, Alice is just Daniel’s mind compensating for the memory loss. This is something that came out in Dubai (in the way it does in Dream a Memory Me or not idek. Might not even come up in this fic
Daniel’s daughter’s are three years apart, either born ‘76 and ‘79 or ‘77 and ‘80.
Mandy (oldest) is sharp, determined, good at math, and musical. She manages a bank. She’s a serial monogamist but tends to not get married.
Jess (youngest) is artsy, pleasure-seeking, and always willing to try anything once. She’s a lesbian. She works as a photography/graphic design professor.
Daniel wants to finish the Interview book as a mortal to retain his outside perspective. He also wants to finish it at home.
Mandy and Jess stopped talking to Daniel because the last time they saw him, he had relapsed and that’s the only way they really know how to deal with relapsing: Leave him be and let him sort it out
Possible Plot Points
When Daniel returns from Dubai, Armand and Louis come with him. They all set up in Daniel’s home. He has the room for them because he has enough room for his daughters to visit.
Jess contacted Daniel when he was in Dubai via email because a coworker asked after him. This opened the door for Daniel to start corresponding with both daughters again.
Eventually the daughters come to visit. They meet Armand, who says his name is Rashid. They meet Louis later and start putting things together because when they were teenagers they listened to the interview tapes home alone during summer vacation.
Jess, who will try anything is 100% down to drink the raw rodent blood Armand’s been blending (the aeration helps the blood texture, the thought being if Louis drank it out of a glass then Daniel’s daughters might not think too much about it and he could have breakfast when they visit)
As the book progresses, Daniel’s medication gets to the point it can no longer help him and his health declines. He can feel death lurking all around him, but can’t tell when it might strike. He’s finding his time is running out before he can do things he wants to do like finish the book
Armand is in a strange place because on one hand he doesn’t want to lose Daniel but he’s not enthralled about cursing Daniel for eternity either. However, if someone is going to do it, he’s going to do it. Louis knows this.
Louis is still kind of in sage mode but it’s more relaxed in New York because Daniel’s home is set up for comfort. He has an ereader and access to the books on the shelves. He’s concerned about the situation because this could turn into both of the vampires watching Daniel die, and he thinks that would ultimately be a loss.
Mandy and Jess visit when they can. The final time they visit, they can tell it’s the final time. They hold their dad extra long knowing they likely never will again no matter what he might choose.
The next day, Daniel realizes if he doesn’t make his choice now, death will make the choice for him. He wants his choice to be clear, for his sake and the sake of the vampires with him. He wants to always know he himself chose this as the centuries spread out before him.
He takes the chance he could die in an inopportune place and spends part of his final day outside. The sun shines on his face. The air is atrocious but welcomed. He eats the food his daughters brought him, etc...etc... one last moment of humanity, one last moment with the things he’ll miss. He’s already had that last moment with his daughters.
When the night falls, Daniel tells Louis and Armand that he’s ready. He’s made his choice and he’s going to accept the dark gift. Armand is the one to do it, his gaze somewhat sad but he does it nonetheless.
The fic might end here. The fic might end with the daughters receiving word.
Possible Themes:
Confronting mortality
Giving up things you thought you could accomplish, knowing when to pass such things along
What death is like when you can feel it encroaching
The potential inherent humor in Daniel’s daughters interacting with Louis and Armand
Dealing with your Dad’s end of life crisis involving two vampire lovers, which is somehow not as surprising as it should be
