I'm so tired of constantly seeing Disney/Marvel pushing pro-S*lki bullshit it's fucking despicable.

Like seriously, can you imagine if the genders were reversed and S*lki was instead about a female character fawning over a male character who is constantly insulting her and telling her to shut up? Everyone would be up in arms about how abusive it was and how it was setting a bad example for young girls (and rightfully so). But because it's a female character doing this to a man, suddenly that's ok??? Sylvie is literally never held accountable for anything she does. It doesn't matter how selfish she acts or how badly she treats other people; the narrative always frames her as this pinnacle of perfection who can do no wrong purely because she's a woman. Nothing is ever her fault because she "had a rough past" so apparently that gives her a free pass to be as despicable as humanly possible and everyone will still love her no matter what. Meanwhile Loki treats her and Mobius with respect and kindness even though they have been nothing but awful to him and yet HE'S the one constantly framed as the "evil narcissist." Fucking disgusting.

Ramblings About God of War: Odin addition!

First of all: MY ASKS ARE OPEN!! I'm running out of ideas for character analysis jelp

Note: yeah I know I said I was gonna make Freyas next but I wanna talk about how much I hate him. He sucks so much i hope he dies again all my homies hate Odin he sucks so much you don't even understand

Odin: The top Gaslighter, Gatekeeper, and Girlbosser

Tis' the season to point out the diffrent manipulation tactis odin uses! God, Odin is so horrible. Hes a horrible dad, grandfather, friend, role model, and basically everything ever.

There are few things that motivate villians. The main ones are fame, money, vengence, and power. I think the thing that motivates him is solely power. He wants power over everyone. He claims all he wants is knowledge and vengence, but he just wants power, in my opinon.

For the first time Atrues went to Asgard, Odin excpictly stated he was only in it for the knowledge. But he wants power. As the saying goes, Knowledge equals Power. I know basing this entire character Analysis on one old saying doesnt make much sense, but hear me out here.

Odin loves being on top of the world. He loves having people do anything he wishes. He keeps (or, well, kept) his trusty servant, Heimdall near him at all times. He did, however, manipulate people countless times, which i will get into later. OKAY NOT THE POINT-

My point is; When Odin said that he only wants knowledge, he was telling a half truth. Odin wants knowledge in order to gain power. Because Odin knows so much about everything ever, (or, at least he says he does) people are bound to trust him more. ergo; The knowledge that Odin has equals power over the people who don't know. ...ergo knowledge = power but YOU GET THAT BY NOW.

Each manipulation tactic my least favorite old guy used on his targets

Thor: Odin earned Thors dedication by a very common tactic: Bullying. Hes so unnecessarily mean to Thor, and I think he does this because he can not emotionally manipulate him in his normal tactics, so he just resorts to bullying him like a middle schooler.

Atreus: Promises and flatter. Atreus' entire storyline is wanting answers. And here comes Odin, trying his hardest to convince Atreus that he can have those answers if he just helps him out with translating a mask. But, obviously, he has worse intentions than he claims.

Kratos: Harassment. This is the last tactic that manipulators try to use. Similar to Thors, Odin can't do anything to Kratos. After all the ranting Odin said when he went to Kratos' and Atreus' house all he said was "No," then almost killed his son. So, the only way to get him to do what he wants is physical violence.

Heimdall: literally nothing what happened there he came out the womb worshipping him

Humans- they are not aware of what is happening between the heavens and the pits. They are aware of the demons and angels coming down to earth there are a lot of relationships between demons and humans as well as angels and humans, the children of these relationships are human, and almost all of them are people with ADHD, autism, or other disorder

Angels & Demons- there is an ongoing war between the two with angels having an upper hand, thanks to the captured seer which only archangels and demons know about. An ancient artifact was lost during the

Fallen angels / Ascended demons - as the name suggests they are changing factions while transforming into a demon or angel, but they can also stay as they are, or just not join any faction

The seers- only created out of love between demon/ascended demon and angel/fallen angel.

The seers are hunted by heavens and pits that want to use them for their abilities and if they have no need for it, the seers are killed. Their abilities are most of the time to see the future and the past of an individual, create pocket spaces, and a few other powers special to the seers.

I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I lowkey dislike my degrees and career choices, that I dislike what I chose to do with my professional career, while having a minor panic attack.

Just the sight of the article i'm writting, my ex-coworkers' messages, my ex-advisor's messages, the publishers' messages, etc, makes me nauseous. Makes me want to bury my face in a pillow and cry. To go to bed and sleep the day away. Like, it's not that I hate my field of study. I love it. I really loved the valuable knowledge I collected and all the amazing things I was learning but, srsly, academia traumatized me. Being through the proccess of acquiring those degrees ruined me. I was already mentally ill when I joined those graduation programs, and they just made it 50x worse. The academic environment is vile, toxic and hostile. The shit I went through, my friends and fellow students went through, the shit I saw... honestly, it screwed me big time, when I was already very much sick. And so, here I am, having anxiety episodes, unemployed and broken. Honestly? I feel like I'm done with it. It's probably a waste, but I'm really considering not going on with an academic career and go do something else. Something very basic, very generic, that gives me money to live, and that's it. Take advantage of my diplomas and get a job through some selective proccess from some government agency that pays well and the end. Fuck, I'm so tired.
