How much football is actually played in the fic, and how much of it is just the boys being the dumbasses they are?
BAHAHAHAAA okay so it starts off at the tail-end of a game on page one, and then the next game scene doesn't happen until page fifteen, soooo there's,, a lot of them just being stupid
here are a few little snippets!:
*0*0*
He’s expecting a 65 at best, but his grade hasn’t been good in math since seventh grade, so as long as he makes above a 30 on this exam, he’s gonna be happy.
As luck would have it, he’s the last to take his test back to Snyder, who gives him a critical look. “Did you do the backside this time, Kelly?”
Jack shoots him a grin and shrugs. “Guess ya better look, huh?”
Snyder turns the paper, and scowls at the doodle of himself, along with a speech bubble that says, “i eat hopes and dreams for breakfast <3”. At least the questions are filled in.
“Even put your bald spot in there,” Jack says proudly, pointing at the page. “And your forehead wrinkles! I gotta say, Mr. Spider, this is some of my finest work.”
“Sit down, Mr. Kelly.”
“Aw, ya don't like talkin’ to me?”
“Sit down.”
*0*0*
He’s not let off the hook for it either, of course, since the next morning, he wakes to Race, Charlie, and Albert bursting into his bedroom.
Jack may or may not scream as he sits up; he was having an actually good dream, thank you very much, but he cuts himself off as he notices the three boys taking purchase of his space. Charlie sits in his rolly chair, leaning his crutch against Jack’s desk- where he keeps all of his art stuff. Albert, of course, sits on the little bench-thingy attached to the wall near his window. Race sits at the foot of Jack’s bed, not really caring that Jack needs, y’know, this thing called personal space.
It all happens so fast, and by the time Jack has yawned, rubbed his eyes, and calmed the beating of his heart, the three of them have already made themselves at home. Jack sighs, unimpressed. “My mom let y’all in, huh?”
“We had coffee with her,” Charlie says with a grin. “She makes the best coffee.”
“It’s literally just Folgers, but okay,” Jack mumbles, and leans against his wall.
*0*0*
“Usually, the person who needs the intervention doesn’t know it’s going on until it actually happens,” Charlie says from the chair, where he’s spinning in a slow circle.
Jack frowns, crossing his arms over his chest. “I’m not a dick.”
“Dude. You tried to fight Albert in the locker room.”
“I-- Okay,” Albert cuts in, “I kinda… That ain’t 100 percent on him. I also tried to fight Jack in the locker room.”

What you didn't expect was to fight for your precious secular life that keeps being invaded by the best friend of the owner of your rivalling bakery, Taehyung. He also happens to be the one in charge of your lack sugar, due to a minor (depending on the point of view) mistake, though he's known as quite the conscientious count.
You're a baker.
A bad one, it seems. Even with Taehyung, Jimin, Seokjin and Ada, the finest products and tools at your disposal, you seem to cook up a disappointing dish. So whose fault is it really?

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You and your roommate, Ada, just arrived at the ski resort. Scraping sounds resound as you drag your luggages and clump them by your respective beds. It's now officially year seven of "Vacation for those with low earning reports", which meant visiting your local (almost) ski resort in Punniton for the seventh year in a row. The first one happened back in your first year of high school after you wanted to feel independent which lead you to meet your best friend, Ada, and planning what turned out to be the most unplanned trip of your life but you still made it. You managed to go and come back and that's what counted.
"Soooo I want to go and check the slopes but I know how you much you like your afternoon nap, so I'll leave you to it." Ada says riffling through her bag for her skiing pants.
You just hum in response, already liking the firmness of the mattress. Though it has been seven years in a row, going to the same resort every winter break, you still adopted your same mundane routine. You change into a cosy fit, and make your way to the lobby to take a look at the restaurant. While you did like skiing, you particularly liked food, so to you, bad food meant a bad vacation. You make a quick beeline for the pastry section and let your eyes get inspired by the plethora of new-age and classic pastries. One of the other reasons you visited the resort each year was to scout any new pastries that you could debut back at home, in the bakery. Punniton's ski resort was known for providing a variety of pastries for its international guests.
So yes, while you did go for skiing the first two years, the remaining five where simply to spark your creative juices in the kitchen, but that's something only you needed to know. Looking at the display had your mouth watering like a Pavlovian dog. One piece before your nap wouldn't hurt, right?
"Could I have a-" you say.
"Could I have a-" another voice echos beside you.
You turn to your side.
"Oh!" the more than familiar male exclaims.
"Woahhhh, Jimin?! like for real, THE Park Jimin!" You lunge at him, wrapping your arms around him.
You feel the vibrations from his chest as his laugh fills your ears. You take a step back, making a thorough examination of your more than dazzling former high school dance partner. You're happy to see that not much has changed, at least not on the outside but he seems to carry an even brighter aura around him.
"Hmmm yeah, it's just me," he says sporting his smug face, one that has had you cheesing ever since you met him for the first time in tenth grade.
His eyes soften and performer Jimin takes the backseat as he asks, "How have you been? It's been a hot minute."
You think back to your high school days and remember Park Jimin before he became Park Jimin. He would squeeze in dance practice before classes started. His weekends were spend in one room, the kind with mirrors and his eyes where always set, burning with passion to make it.  With your unassuming character you genuinely thought that someone so ambitious would end up corrupted. You couldn't have been more wrong. Jimin had made it, he was standing right in front of you and it felt like you just left dance practice back in high school and you were on your way to get a bite.
"Good, thanks! But I am feeling a lot better now," you can't help the smile that is plastered on your face, Jimin has always had that effect. "I am still working at the bakery..." you glance at him and you are happy to see that his interest hasn't flattered unlike others, "and I'm head chef now and get to choose what the bakery sells!"
"That's nice to hear Y/N," Jimin says taking an apprehensive look at Y/N.
While Y/N was never one to dream, she still had hopes and fantasies. Something she never knew that Jimin was aware of . Back in twelfth grade, before graduation, Jimin accidentally came across Y/N's recipe log for the bakery. Between the ending pages she had sketched a drawing for a shop sign, specifically a sign for a bakery , on it written "Sugar".
Jimin sighs, shakes his head and asks, "Anyways, to what do I owe the pleasure?" You simply smirk at him.
"No way! You are still doing that???" You nod. "With Ada?" You nod harder as your eyes crinkles.
"I don't know whether to find that sad or cute," Jimin says to which you swat his arm repeatedly as  you glare at him.
"Ohhh I see, just cause you became a big city dancer, now you're too good for our cheap breaks, uh?" You stare at him questioningly. Jimin is just about to answer as you raise your hand," Let me just remind you, Mister Park, that you were a part of this the first three years."
Jimin simply answers, "A very proud participant at that," and now it's your turn to look at him with soft eyes.
You look back at the cashier by the counter, " Could I have two slices of the Banoffee pie, please?" You and Jimin glance at each other .
Back when it was the three of you (Ada, Jimin and you), the first food you ate together at the resort was always Banoffee pie. This happened after you found out you all had a bit of an obsession with cream.
Jimin forcibly pays for the pies as you look for a place for the two of you. While Jimin goes to the bathroom and to fetch the cutlery, you sneak a message to Ada.
[17:15] guess who I just bumped into?
[17:16]  sweetie 💖really, you know I don't like guessing games ?
[17:17] you don't, expect when it comes to _______ ?
[17:18]  sweetie 💖To who?????
[17:19] you're no fun :(
[17.20]Here are some hints: dance, blonde, high school 👀?
[17:21]  sweetie 💖Haha, very funny 🖕🏻, but I told you I was over it, it has been like 4 years christ 🙄
[17.23] You known what, whatever 😑 first don't use the Lord's name in vain and second I'll cut to the chase, Jimin, the one who you have had a crush on for almost a decade / our high school friend is here... we're in the lounge area by the restaurant eating banoffee pie, so if you want to join in on an old tradition please do pass by, Miss "I'm in Denial" 😘
Jimin sits down across from you. You talk about his time in the big city, about getting to dance for a living. The more you talk about it the wider his smile gets and the brighter his aura shines. While your modest self can't comprehend the allure of such a lifestyle, you can understand Jimin, and what his dreams mean to him. That's enough for you to mimic his smile.
Just as you and Jimin are about to part ways, you see the familiar bounce of a black bone straight bob heading your way. As you are about to call out Ada's name, Jimin turns his head at the rustling sound of Ada's skiing pants. Now it's your turn to take the backseat. The atmosphere turns silent and calm. The closer Ada gets the stronger her deep breaths resound. You wonder if she is out of breath from seeing Jimin or from rushing to the restaurant to eat some pie. Her trailing eyes gives you the answer.
"Hey," Jimin cuts through the silent with a small wave and a comforting smile.
"Hey!" Ada responds in an overly cheery voice, black hair strands sticking to her forehead.
I told you I wasn't lying," you snap your fingers motioning at Jimin standing by your side.
"I see..." she mumbles while fumbling with the straps of her skiing overalls.
"Are you guys just going to stand there like you don't know each other," you comment and they glare at you.
"What!? you make it seem like you hated each other... I mean the least you could do is like hug or something," you add pursing your lips.
Ada looks at you and her face flinches which means she is suppressing her "Really!?" face. You simply shake your head at her with widened eyes and try your best to suppress a smile.
Jimin takes the first step, contradicting his past behaviour. While Ada is looking for a way to reassure him that he doesn't have to do it and that you are just messing with them, Jimin takes another step, more than he has ever taken. Ada's past betrayals keep her rooted where she stands. Just like a bride, Jimin takes the last steps towards Ada, looks at her, smiles at her and finally sees her for the second time, except this may as well be the first. Ada's arms let go of her strap to smoothen her overall, because now Jimin is looking at her. They stare and end up smiling at each other. As cute at this is, you're growing impatient so you give Jimin a little push. As they engulf one another, it's finally time for all three of you to exhale in unison.
Jimin lets go of Ada to brush his hand through his hair while Ada moistens her lips. He reaches back for a bag beside his chair and extends it to Ada.
"I didn't know Y/N told you I was were. I was planning on giving it to you later. But you're here now so... yeah..."
Ada takes the bag, peaks inside with a nose scrunching smile.
"It's tradition, and traditions should be kept, right?" Jimin questions and Ada's smile flattens a bit.
She sighs and says, "Some traditions are meant to be broken." Ada stares right at Jimin, hoping this time around he understands her.
Inside the bag was a carefully packed slice of banoffee pie.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A couple of days pass by. You and Ada hit the slopes everyday after your collective morning walks. The two of you soak up the festive spirit of the resort. Christmas is a week away, which means that work is slowly but steadily creeping  back into your conscience. But for now, you choose to appease yourself with copious amounts of  marshmallow filled hot chocolate and the resort's exquisite selection of pastries.
Today is no different, with your hot chocolate in one hand, you point eagerly at the Yule Log Cake that wasn't there yesterday. The cashier shakes her head at you while cutting into the cake. You sit by the table you and Jimin shared on your first day and indulge in the delicacy in front of you . You're in such as trans that you don't hear Ada creeping close to you.
"Wahhhh!" she screams as she shakes your shoulder. Your cutlery clings as it hits the floor and you involuntarily spit some hot chocolate onto the table. In your moment of distress Ada takes the opportunity to steal a bite of your cake. You put on your blank look and stare at her dumbfounded. She takes a short look at you, smiles and takes a seat across from you.
"Soooo... I know we didn't plan to do anything this afternoon but Jimin hit me up and said that there was a bus from here that would take us to the ice skating rink." She checks if you're doing fine now and resumes, "You know it would be just like our first trip, tradition and all."
"I thought you wanted to break traditions," you say and it comes out more harshly than you intended it to.
Ada rolls her eyes, "Yes, but I was only referring to some not all," and now it's your turn to roll your eyes at her.
"Anyways do you want to come or no?"
"No." you say and Ada ticks her head to the side surprised.
"Well, that doesn't matter, this is my payback for the Jimin stunt you pulled. Here's your ticket. If you don't show up I will expect a refund by the end of the day," she says slapping the ticket onto your right palm.
Ada stands up to leave, as she's walking you shout, " Don't act like you didn't like it," you scoff, how ungrateful can one actually be.
You take a look at the ticket and cringe at the greyish hue on your hands. The only downside of winter. You basically need to lotion up every three hours. You hurriedly devour the rest of your cake and rush to your room to change.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Everyone is already seated on the bus when you arrive, panting  from your little 'run'. You take it as a sign to go easy with the cakes. Your eyes skim the seats, the bus is narrow and hot, and you feel both happy and betrayed when you see Ada sitting with Jimin near the back of the bus. You walk towards them sporting an exaggerated fake smile .
"Hey Y/N!" Jimin says while glancing between you and Ada, checking if the current situation is okay.
You nod reassuringly. To that Jimin points at a mop of wavy black hair infront of him.
"This is my friend Taehyung, he's staying with me at the resort." At that you and Taehyung glance at each to other and exchange courteous and straight smiles.
Taehyung is focused on typing on his phone and you aren't interested enough to reprimand him for using it in a phone free zone. To combat the everlasting presence of smartphones in our modern day to day life, Punniton's Ski Resort decided to place certain phone free zones. It seemed people liked the idea enough since no one has yet to complain. Taehyung however doesn't fit into people. This is something you would come to realize the more you got to know him.
You glance at Jimin with a questioning look and he makes a head motion towards the seat beside Taehyung. You keep bickering back and forth about where you should sit that Taehyung ends up stealing a quick glance at you, but this time he gives you an actual genuine smile, though there's still no teeth. Feeling rude and defeated, you sit yourself down next to him. You try your best to properly fit into the bus seat but your winter jacket, which is slightly too big because you couldn't afford the better model in your size, keeps getting in the way. Finally you give up and simply unzip the jacket.
You're in a phone free bus, in the mountains, so you wonder how the hell this Taehyung dude manages to get a reception, but at least he isn't bored like you. You know who else isn't bored? Ada and Jimin, or as you call them "Admin" because they have been affecting your mood for the past days, but right now is gotta be the worst instance of them all. It's all giggles and more giggles and small claps. All I get when I turn to my left is a man with a  handsome face and even better looking hands typing himself away. You wish you could at least have the window seat and busy yourself by looking at the landscape.
You nudge Taehyung a bit, surprisingly he instantly turns his head your way.
"Hmmm..." You start, "not to be rude or anything but would you mind if we exchanged seats," you point as his phone,      " since you're typing and I have nothing to do, I would just like to look outside."
Taehyung motions for you to get up with his hand. You step aside, he gets off his seat and you realise that he's at least a head taller than you. You waddle into the window seat and fix your jacket so that Taehyung has enough space to sit. As soon as he sits back down, he focuses his attention back on the typing. Not wanting to disturb him you mumble to yourself, "Thank you."
Ten minutes pass by and you're bored again. You look at Taehyung who has his head leaned back against the seat with his eyes closed. Now that you think about it, despite the endless scrolling and stalking you did on social media you've never seen Taehyung on any of Jimin's social media posts. But you also knew that his social media was more for business than for private reasons. Though you had never seen him before, he definitely looked like a big city boy. He wore classic muted colors, sleek clothing that looked brand new and actually fit him. Between you and Ada, you didn't really care about how you looked from a fashion standpoint, but even with her "low income report" Ada managed to look like she came from the big city.
You, on the other hand, were looking awfully shabby beside the other three individuals. Even if Taehyung himself didn't make you feel this way, just looking at him felt like an insult to your physical appearance. You felt like you were being scolded by your mom to fix your hair, your clothes, your everything, basically fix your entire self.
Now that you think about it, it has been a while since you talked to your mom, you make a mental note to message her when you get back to the resort. You turn around, kneeling on your seat to find out that Ada has dosed off and Jimin has voluntarily remained silent even when he can clearly see that you have no one to talk to. He looks up at you.
"By the way, my mom told me to say hi to you and congratulate you on your sold out show, like a while ago, but better late than never, right?" you say, trying to lift up the mood.
Jimin's eyes are moving around and he's chewing his pinky. He must be thinking about something. Yet he manages, in classic Jimin fashion, to give you his endearing eye smile.
"Well, tell her thank you and that I will come visit her soon."
You give him a shocked face, "Oh so that's how it works, all I need is to compliment you a little and then you will come visit."
You nod your head, "Uh, uh I see how it works."
Jimin glances at Ada before he looks back at you and says, "All you need to do is ask."
You give him a tight smile and sit back down on your seat.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You wake up from the sudden rush of cold air you feel on your arm. Hastily, you turn you head towards where Taehyung should be, eyelids still dormant and hum softly.
"Errm... Y/N, we have arrived..." Taehyung says poking your arm.
Still drowsy from sleep, you barely register the sound of Ada speaking in the back. You feel a hand touch your hair and instantly you're awake, ready to attack.
Taehyung furrows his brows at your reaction, clearly confused, but still glad that you're finally awake. You don't know Taehyung, so you decide not to punish him for touching your hair, but you do flip Ada off for giving him a green light. She responds by sticking her tongue out. The bus driver's voice echos through the intercom.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at our stop, Lake Punniton. It's currently 14:13. You will be able to explore the forest and skate up until it's time for departure at 17:30. I would recommend that we gather back here at this same stop,10 minutes prior to the departure time. Anyways, I don't want to keep you waiting, so enjoy your time here. Once again, thank you for choosing Punniton's Ski Resort!"
Soon after his commentary, everyone rushes out of the bus. You step out of the bus and instantly want to get back in there. Your cheeks are tingling and your ears feel like they are practically boiling. Someone pulls you into a side hug as you see a flash go off in front of you. You're about to protest and say that you did not agree to appear in any promotional content for the resort, but you notice that behind the camera is Taehyung.
"I hope you don't mind me shooting you guys, it's not often that I get to take pictures of other people," Taehyung says waving his camera around. It's only now that your mind registers that this is your first time actively listening to his voice.
"Nahh, you don't have to worry. You can take as many pictures as you want so long you promise that we can get them as well," Ada chirps with a sense of new found positivity.
It's official, you think, the Jimin effect is now rooted back in place. While you're happy that Ada is opening up to Jimin once again, you're slightly uncomfortable because of the uncertain outcome of her trust in him. You don't have time to keep pondering on the issue as Jimin pulls the oversized sleeve of your jacket.
"C'mon, let's go!"
You retrieve your sleeve with a simple pull but keep walking towards the rink. Once there, Taehyung hands you a pair of skates and you thank him.
"You're welcome," he says sitting beside you on the bench. Now that he's speaking directly with you, and it is just the two of you, you pay close attention to the characteristics of his voice. Sleek, classically deep, calm and a tad bit emotionless. He sounds good. Not wanting to compliment him, even in your own head, you convince yourself that that is how people from the big city sound like.
Once you're done lacing up your skates, you motion to Taehyung that you're going for a little round. He nods while gesturing at his camera. You push off from the bench and let yourself glide over the frozen lake. The ice is a bit rough but you can't really complain, it's a lake not an actual skating rink. The only advantage to skating in a lake in comparison to a rink, is the unlimited space you get to roam. Obviously some places are blocked because of the unstable ice but there's still a vast part of the lake available. You skate straight for as long as you can while staring at the sky.
"Y/N!" Jimin shouts, "Come over here!"
Jimin and Ada are ahead of you. You pick up the speed only to fumble when attempting a snowplow stop. You inevitably fall on the ice.
"Karma." Ada utters under her breath.
You give her your best stank face while attempting to get yourself back up. You end up falling down again as you get a gush of snow on your face from Taehyung's perfect snowplow stop. You sigh defeated. Taehyung glances at you worryingly. He extends his clothed hand at you. You are mad but not mad enough to freeze your ass off on the ice, so you accept his help. With a strong grip Taehyung pulls you back up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ma—"
"Yeah it's okay, as Ada said, karma," you cut him off pointing towards the benches by the frozen lake, "I am gonna go for a walk in the forest, just so I can, you know, clear my mind."
As you skate away, Taehyung makes an attempt to catch up to you in order to give you a better apology but Jimin holds him back and tells him, " Don't worry, it's not you, it's just because you come from the big city".
While Jimin isn't wrong, he isn't totally right either. Yes, you are not fond of him because he comes from the big city, though you are unaware of where he actually lives. You also find it hard to like him because you feel inferior to him. Unlike you, Taehyung actually carries a genuine sense of self-esteem and comfortability with oneself. He was never once, ever since meeting you and Ada, intimidated by your friendship with Jimin. He never showcased an ounce of uncertainty with regards to the activities you've shared so far. You, on the other hand, knew that both Ada and Jimin did not inform you about a forth addition to the trip because that would have been a sure way to keep you seated in the restaurant eating your afternoon and health away.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Beep! Beep! Beep!
You reach for your phone to stop the timer. You were mad which meant you needed a walk. It had been a while since you had taken one of your timed anger walks. Though now that you have calmed down you realise you were more hurt than mad. Once again, walking blesses you with its magic. It has been twenty minutes, you don't know how far you have walked but your shoes are covered with a thick layer of powdery snow. Unexpectedly, a couple white spots show up on your jacket. You look up to find out that it has started to snow. You should probably head back to the skating area before you get lost.
Scrunching sounds fill the forest as you move forward back to the skating area. Now that you're calm, you know that there really isn't a reason for you to be mad at the situation. Yes, you wanted it to be like old times, just the three of you but that's not how things work. Not for you at least, they have never been how you wanted them. That's how you became so modest.
The area around your neck is white. The melting snow is trickling down inside of your jacket. Damn oversized jacket! You will need to buy an extra large scarf to survive this winter.
By the time you reach the ice skating area, your scarf is very moist, your eyelashes are white and your chin is wet. You sit by the bench  to search for Ada's bright red beanie. You had gifted it to her during last years's Secret Santa. Because of this, it was a red knitted beanie with a white motif of a dancer in the center. If she had known it was you, she would have blamed you for reminding her of him.
You can't seem to find the red beanie amongst the crowd. Click. Click. You snap your head to the side to find Taehyung's camera pointed at you. You stare into it. Click. You look away. Click. You stand up to walk away. Click.
Taehyung didn't know you so he could understand your initial dismissal of him. Plus, Jimin had warned him that you weren't very fond of city people but he still insisted that you were friendly. However, you weren't making it easy for him to approach you, let alone get to know you. So he decided to breakthrough in his own way, the one he felt the most comfortable about, by using his camera. Taehyung didn't only approach you to catch your attention but because the scenery, with you on the bench, a slight layer of snow still on top of  your tightly coiled ball of hair, would make a great picture.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Taehyung interjects before you manage to go too far.
Taehyung jogs to catch up with you.
"Where are the others?" you ask, hoping he will get the gist.
"They went for a walk," he says keeping it short, just how Jimin told him. "I stayed because I wanted to take some pictures of the scenery," he adds, lifting up his camera to prove his point.
You didn't ask but he still told you. Something you would find out later is that Taehyung often does or says things somebody asked him to.
Here's all you've gathered about Taehyung so far: nice (or at least seems like it), handsome, artistic, big city boy, stylish, confident and persistent. With of all of this, things aren't looking good for Taehyung with regards to the possibility of you befriending him. While Taehyung's profile was far from ideal, there was one big pro that could compensate for everything.
Heis, after all, friends with Jimin. That must mean something?
"How come you decided to follow Jimin here?"
Taehyung turns his head towards you, a smile tugging at his lips. "Nothing in particular honestly, I was free, Jimin offered, I accepted." Taehyung shrugs his shoulders. This is something Jimin would let you know. Things with Taehyung were often like this, meaning easy.
"That's nice, I guess..." You think you should add something to fill up the silence but there's nothing to be said, so you make shit up.
"Be honest. This must be a downgrade compared to what you are usually used to, right?"
Small ridges forn around Taehyungs nose and under his eyes. Oopps... really Y/N!? You couldn't get your discriminatory ego in check.
"I'm so so-" you start.
"No need to be. I mean, you're not totally wrong," he counters swaying his head side to side.
You turn to look at him, eyes wide. Taehyung looks back raising his eyebrows with a close mouthed smile that accentuates his bread cheeks.
"Ahhhh, how dare you, "you respond with an exaggerated scoff. Now, Taehyung eyes's crinkle and you snicker lightly.
Okay, maybe if you gave yourself some time and a healthy dose of welcoming energy, you and Taehyung could become more than just acquaintances. Not exactly friends but not strangers either.
"First of all, please do not post those pictures of me." You turn to stare at your shoes. "And secondly, I'm sorry for my behaviour, that is, my unwarranted bias towards you"
"No worries, it's all already forgotten." That's another thing Taehyung does a lot, forget on demand.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You and Taehyung are seated at a table in the eating area by the bus top when you see Ada and Jimin walk towards you.
"Feeling better, Y/N?" Ada asks.
You dismiss her mocking tone. "Yes, I was until exactly 5 seconds ago." You turn to look at Taehyung and take a deep breath.
"Much better," you say.
"Uh oh, I see you have broken the barrier." Jimin smiles at the two of you. "That's great, in fact fantastic! It will make the journey back home sooo much easier," he says visibly relieved.
"What do you mean?" You look at Jimin questioningly.
"He didn't tell you?" he says, looking at you. Turning to Taehyung, "You didn't tell her?"
You wave your hands around.
"Taehyung lives in Warringham," Ada swiftly adds.
Before you have the time to interrogate Taehyung, he's flying off the seat frantically searching through his bag and his jacket.
"What is it?" you ask.
Taehyung doesn't answer. You look at Jimin and he shrugs.
Taehyungs is in frenzy mode for a good five minutes before he calms down. Though I doubt it's because he has solved the problem.
The driver calls for everyone to get back on board. You hurry inside before everyone gets in to get the best seats, the ones at the back.
Though you did not talk about it, you assume the same positions you had on the journey to the lake. It was as if you had gone back in time, experiencing déjà vu. Jimin and Ada are laughing except this time they are beside you, and Taehyung is frantically typing himself away. Only this time he looks worried.
Now that you're in the bus the barrier between you and Taehyung has rebuilt itself and you don't dare to ask him if everything is alright. This will happen a lot of times between you and Taehyung. A constant cycle: open, close, open, close, open and repeat.
You are all seated down in the bus, three best friends and a spontaneous add-on that currently look very distressed. Only you didn't know that the add on would end up making you similarly distressed, if not more.

— a/n: thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed the first chapter ! Any sort of feedback is appreciated. I do tend to mix the reader’s POV with third person omniscient POV.

This is the very extensive and detailed rant of a fed up black, female student of class 2020
-You are free to scroll past this if you want. I really just needed to get this off my chest. But if you have advice or are experiencing a similar situation, feel free to message me-
So first off, I haven't liked going to school since I was 9. And highschool has only deepened my loathing of it. But maybe I don't hate school in general. Maybe I just hate the schools I've gone to ( 4 in total ). This rant is about highschool specifically. Perhaps what I'm about to type is normal and I'm overreacting. But I'm tired of not talking about my problems because I'm worried that I'll sound like an ungrateful brat. Typing/ writing about my issues makes me feel better. And I really need to feel better.
So here are the main points in order of severity: Low income, Advisory, Graphic Arts and Discipline/Work Ethic
Low Income:
I've only ever gone to low income schools in my neighborhood. I hoped high school would be different but thanks to the crappy education of my old school and an even crappier selective enrollment test score, I couldn't get into the schools I wanted. Then again my single mother probably couldn't afford those other schools anyway.
My highschool shares a building with another highschool. And unfortunately they called dibs on the best features and have control of the heating and ac. We don't even have our own gym. We also have the least amount of space with the smallest class being mine of 144 seniors. So there's a lot of packed classrooms.
Speaking of having way too many students, recourses are slim as a result. Our best equipment, chromebooks, need to be reserved weeks in advance by the teacher and even then they still may not be able to get enough of them for their class. Said chromebooks can often be missing keys, not work at all or be stolen easily because of their small size.
A few other issues are terrible lunches ( I've been bringing lunch from home since sophmore year), very limited field trips, mice infestation, very few clubs ( if we have any idk ) and teachers have to pay for just about everything class related.
Advisory:
Advisories were created to prepare us for greek life in college. I honestly think it's to keep everyone in check but ok. Even so I have absolutely 0 interest in anything frat or sorority related ( no offense to those who do ) as well as many of my classmates but advisory is mandatory.
My first 2 years of advisory were hell. Most of my advisory sisters were either people I'd never talk to because we weren't in the same class, had nothing in common or they were straight up terrible people. I should mention that freshman year has the worst students because about 30% don't make to the next grade or just transfer. Most of my advisory sisters I had problems with were in that 30% ( a few had already repeated ).
Since I kept to myself there were very few incidents were I was put into a tense situation with them. The main conflicts involved our advisor, who I guarantee you was not the problem. She was essentially a poor, white, optimistic, young math teacher from out of town that was thrown to the slaughter. And my cowardly self watched not wanting to be next.
She ended up leaving by junior year so what was left of my advisory merged with another and got a new advisor. The only downside is that our new advisor is a firm believer in " sisterhood " and no cliques ( even if you converse easier with a certain group of people and advisory is already a forced clique in itself ). Maybe I'd be more up for advisory events , which we rarely have , if my advisory experience wasn't sullied so early on.
Graphic Arts:
The reason I chose my school was because it had an art class. In seventh grade I knew I wanted to have a career in art and that my talent was lacking but had potential. So you can imagine my horror when I learned that the art teacher had left once I'd gotten there.
I was sad but stayed positive and even highly recommended them to get another art teacher. Then by sophomore we got an art after school program ( 4:25 to 6 twice a week ). I managed to keep my grades the same and take the classes every week for the entire school year. I only missed about 4 days total. For once I actually enjoyed staying after school.
The class taught me so much and I didn't have to wait for the summer to take an art class downtown. Even better I got to interact with other young artists of my race ( there was usually only one other black kid at the summer classes ). Everything was finally looking up.
Then the art galleries happened. The school hosted one per semester. I brought my art to display but I couldn't stay cuz of a shitload of math homework. I got complimented the next day but still regretted not staying. So I vowed to attend the next one with even more pieces than before.
The night finally came and I was hyped. Me and two seniors were in charge of doing caricatures for free ( one senior gave me a dollar tho ). I had fun with that but noticed something weird...none of our art was displayed.
Apparently they cut it out for time along with the theatre clubs performance. And I would've been fine with that. If my family hadn't come.
The icing on the cake was when they turned off the lights in the hallway where we were drawing the caricatures so they could start the show for the performing art groups. I couldn't contact my family until the show was over and booooiii were they pissed. Especially my mom. I was more sad than anything. I had a feeling my school valued the performing art more and this just proved that. At least now we have an actual art class. And my art teacher is awesome and supportive as hell.
Discipline/ Work Ethic:
These are together cuz they've equally fucked me up. Don't get me wrong. I have a 4.2 gpa and 0 detentions.
The problem is my classmates.
I have been to soooo many class/school meetings about behavior and grade issues over the past 4 years. One of which a staff member said " now i know all of ain't bs-in' but why aren't those people helping the ones who are."
Like wow! Thanks. I hate it.
I'd be happy to help my fellow classmates. It's just that their version of help is cheating off my tests and copying my homework.
So yeah my bad. I've been sooo selfish.
I can count on my hand the amount of times I've been told that I'm doing a good job directly and not in front of a class as a way to embarrass them.
This year behavior was so bad that they made a competition to see which advisory would get the least demerits. Big mistake. My heart goes out to all the poor well behaved students who lost because of a few advisory mates. It only takes one. The record for most demerits in a day was 30 I think.
I forgot the competition was going on at some point cuz I've only gotten 2 demerits in 4 years. My advisory won second and we played the waiting game for our prize only to have a pizza party with 17 other advisories. The winning advisory was salty as hell. But hey we got free lunch at least.
I managed to get good grades simply by doing everything on time and having no social life. This was by choice really. I promised myself I'd do better in college but now I gotta study for ap.
It was actually ap literature that gave me a new perspective on my classmates work ethic. We were given a lengthy reading assignment but the due date was stretched by two class days and the weekend. Even though I'd been mentally drained lately ( by lately I mean since the 1st week of school ) and had other work to do, I completed it with slightly less annotations.
Upon the due date I discovered that I and one other classmate completed the reading. Even the valedictorian didn't do it!!! And this wasn't a one time thing either.
In fact my class is notorious for never doing work on time. I'm talking completing-a-project-in-the-class before-the-it's -due- for bad. And some people I understand. Some of them really need help and resources. But every one else. Excuses excuses. The extended due dates gave me extra free time but it made the work I completed on time feel pointless. Like I could've just not done it and not face any consequences.
I tried that and was stressed out all day to the point of doing the work anyway. School's got me whipped I guess.
So if I hate highschool so much why do I go on time everyday, miss at most 3 days a year, do my work, behave myself and study??? Simple. I'm trying to get out. Having a good gpa and test scores will get me more scholarships cuz God knows my mom can't afford art college ( I got into my first choice so yeah:). Really highschool has just been a means to an end.
I've had my good days and have made some friends but I really just wanna run to hills with my diploma in hand. And thats what's kept me going. But now we're quarantined.
And my school has decided to make work optional.....and I have all A's......
Needless to say I've barely done any work at all. If we never have to go back theres a good chance I won't. I'm so numb at this point that I don't care that we may not have a prom ( aka the only dance I was ever going to go to ).
I'm just done. Done and fed up.
But thank you to my mom, family, bestie, teachers and my classmates that actually want to have a future for keeping me going. If I don't completely give up it's thanks to you. Future me, I hope you get everything you want at art school:)

Legally Swan
Chapter 5
Look at me posting two weeks in a row! And I even have a bunch of chapter 6 written, I am on a roll! Anyway, here is the next chapter of Legally Swan, let me know what you think :)
AO3: 1 I 2 I 3 I 4 I 5
She wasn’t sure where she was running too until she was inside the salon. It was roughly 10 minutes from campus, a smaller stand-alone building on the street, the outside showed age, but in a cozy homey way. It had a red brick front, cracked and washed from time, a cursive open sign with a smiley face hung on the inside of the door. Walking inside, the smell of nail polish, hair color, and rubbing alcohol immediately calmed her. The salon seemed frozen in time. Stuck in the unfortunate year of 1976, blue and white checkered tiles lay across the walls, the floor the same retro blue as the tile with a swirly design that, if stared at for too long, could make one throw up or faint. The ceiling was normal, save for the harsh florescent lights and one large globe light (it was a few shiny mirrors away from a disco ball). Emma loved all of it. No one came over to greet her, so she took it upon herself to find an available technician and sit down, hands out.
“A manicure please.” She sniffed, her heart was still hurting from the encounter with Neal and his fiancé.
“Rough day?” The technician quietly asked. Her black hair was cut into a cute pixie cut that complemented her jaw line. She had pale skin, nearly milk white, and rosy lips. Emma noticed how kind her chocolate brown eyes seemed as she began to soak Emma’s nails.
“You have no idea.” Emma sighed.
“Manicures are for getting all the bad out and keeping the good in. If you want to rant to me you can, it’ll make you feel better.” Her smile was shy and soft, warming Emma, who was in desperate need for a confidant and friend.
“Well get ready for an insanely stupid story. I’ll tell you as long as you promise to give me an honest answer on how stupid I am.” After the technician nodded, Emma began her story.
---
After about an hour or so, with her nails looking fantastic, Emma was finished speaking, now waiting for the technician to say something. The woman studied Emma’s nails, finishing up the hand massage and making sure there were no flaws.
“So, in conclusion, you followed your ex, who broke up with you because he thought you were to pretty and dumb to be with him, to Harvard. You wanted to prove to him you are pretty AND smart, and maybe he would take you back. But, instead, you find that you love the classes, met a super-hot smart British, lawyer in training, found your ex was a tool who cheated on you because you didn’t count, and has a bitchy fiance who looks like a goddess, dresses like she’s at a funeral, and has a vendetta against you for being here.”
Emma blinked. That was the perfect summary of everything that had happened.
“Um, yeah pretty much. Sound horrible hearing it from someone else.” She felt another pang of humiliation.
“Not horrible.” The woman smiled kindly, “You wanted to feel seen and loved.”
“How did you know that?” Emma asked, stunned. What was it with the random strangers she met here reading her so easily?
“I know a little bit about that. Had someone I thought I loved, he decided he didn’t love me and kicked me out. That wasn’t the worst part though! I could handle him making me leave, but he kept my dog.” She turned her sad gaze to a picture frame on the counter, it was a picture of a little golden retriever puppy.
“That’s horrible.” Emma glanced down at Henry, who was curled up in her purse, content to watch the goings on and his person. “I can’t imagine what I would do without Henry.”
The technician smiled softly, wistfully and agreed. “It’s been nine months and it still hurts to think about my poor pup with him. I hope he’s being treated right.”
“I’m so sorry, that is the worst. I’m Emma, by the way.” Emma introduced herself. Realizing she still didn’t know this woman’s name.
“It’s nice to meet you Emma, I’m Mary Margaret.”
---
They talked for a while, Mary Margaret decided to give him a full spa treatment—besides the manicure she was getting a facial and pedicure—so they could talk more. Emma felt like she had found a close friend in Mary Margaret, someone she could confide in and laugh with. It was in the middle of them talking about Emma’s encounter with Killian that a UPS delivery man walked in the door. The change in Mary Margaret was immediate. She stiffened and tried to hide behind her hair, seemingly forgetting her pixie cut. She must have had long hair at one point, and Emma made a note to ask her that story later. When she realized that hiding wasn’t working, she turned her back to face him and made herself busy sorting through her workstation, much to Emma’s bemusement.
In the meantime, she studied Mary Margaret’s reaction, she was definitely trying to hide from the delivery man. The man was glancing around the salon as he waited for signatures. When he saw Mary Margaret, he straitened up and a hopeful look came into his eyes. With a quick look at the receptionist, who was lagging on the signature, too busy on her phone to do much, he walked towards them. Emma was fascinated by the scene unfolding in front of her, she felt like she was watching a movie, on the edge of her seat to see what happened next.
“Mary Margaret!” The man greeted happily. “It’s been a long time, over a year, right?”
“David.” Mary Margaret greeted quietly, nervously moving to tuck her hair behind her ear, and blushing when she realized it was too short to do so. “How are you?”
“I’m great! Picking up extra shifts at the animal shelter still, and delivering packages in the meantime. How are you? Your hair is shorter than last time I saw you.” He paused, slight worry crossing his face. “Not that it doesn’t look good, I mean really you look amazing, not that you don’t always look amazing. I mean to say it’s a good look on you, not there there’s a look that’s bad on you, and I see that you’re still doing nails and hair. Oh, that’s not a bad think though! You were always fantastic at it, I just thought I’d see how you’re doing and say that it’s really good to see you, and now that I know you’re here maybe we could catch up sometime.” Emma could see all the nerves fluttering around him as he stumbled over his words.
“That would be um, yeah maybe sometime soon.”  Mary Margaret blushed again and looked at her work station. The receptionist called for David, finally having signed for the packages, and he somewhat reluctantly said his goodbyes and left.
Emma and Mary Margaret were silent for a moment. Then Emma broke it. “Soooo, what’s the story there?”
“No story!” Mary Margaret blurted out. “I mean I’ve known David since I was in eighth grade and we were friends for a little bit. Why? Did it look like there was a story?”
Emma chuckled at the nerves Mary Margaret was showing. “It definitely looks like there’s a story. He totally likes you, and you obviously like him. What’s holding you back?”
“It’s a really long story.” Mary Margaret started to brush it off, until she saw Emma’s skeptical expression and raised eyebrow. “Fine, we still have ten minutes left on your facial.”
It turned out to be a great story. Mary Margaret had met David when she was in eighth grade, right after he had moved to the area, and they had taken to each other quickly; though not before Mary Margaret had punched him in the face for making fun of her. They had started dating in tenth grade, when they both finally admitted how in love they were with the other. Unfortunately, David had an overbearing father that loved to control all aspects of his life, so, their senior year, he had forced David to breakup with Mary Margaret to date someone from a respectable background. David and Kathryn had dated for a few years, then gotten engaged. Mary Margaret had been devastated, naively thinking that David would jump ship at 18 to go back to her. When she heard the news, she had cried, gotten drunk and ended up sleeping with a good friend of David’s. She still couldn’t look Victor in the eyes after that.
David and Kathryn had been married for about five years before the gossip mill started turning about them not having kids and never being in public together. However, it wasn’t until their seventh year of marriage (nine years of being together), that they officially separated and divorced. Mary Margaret had always held out hope that true love, as she put it, would prevail. But it never did. Now whenever they saw each other there was this stilted awkward conversation, both desperately in love with the other yet so afraid to say it. The latter was an observation on Emma’s part, Mary Margaret convinced that David had no feelings for her anymore. She had met Lance three years before, not long after accepting that nothing would ever happen with David, and tried to move on with her life. When she saw David in town, she did everything she could to hide from him, hence him not having seen her for a year. Turned out that Mary Margaret was very stealthy.
Lance was everything she thought she deserved, and that wasn’t a good thing. Mary Margaret had grown up with a harsh step mother that belittled her and tried to control her. After the heartbreak that was David, a lot of her hold out confidence had vanished, she had found Lance, a man that played on her insecurities, verbally abused her on a daily basis, isolated her from friends and family, and when he got bored, threw her out of their house. So, there she was, without love, without family, without many friends, and without her precious dog.
Emma listened to all of this (the story well over 10 minutes by the end) with an abject sorrow and fascination. If she was being honest with herself (something that only seemed to happened when it wasn’t about herself) she found it much like the soap operas she would watch with her mother. So many interconnecting stories, all very dramatic, but in this case, no less real. She felt empathy for Mary Margaret, and felt a kindred bond. Both of them had gone through a lot, and now were trying to make themselves better. When Mary Margaret mentioned that she wished Lance would take her back, if only so she wouldn’t be so lonely at times, Emma spoke up.
“Don’t sell yourself short Mary Margaret, you deserve more than that kind of life. You deserve happiness with someone who loves you for you.” She wasn’t sure if that helped as Mary Margaret immediately teared up.
“Thank you, and don’t forget Emma.” She paused to compose herself. “You deserve the same. There’s always hope for a better future.”
---
Emma was thinking about that later that week. It was Friday night and she had gone through all of her classes with nerves and piles of homework to show for it. Her desk was currently piled high with her textbooks and books borrowed from the school library to study more. ‘You deserve the same’, Mary Margaret’s voice echoed as she reflected on her week. She knew deep down that she was right, and maybe that meant letting Neal go, but she still had to try right? She owed it to herself to keep going and to keep trying to be the best she could be.
Her phone rang on her nightstand. The cell itself was a standard phone, but the case was something else. Ana had given her the case for her birthday, saying Emma’s phone needed more personality. It was pink, fuzzy and sparkly. Honestly, Emma wasn’t quite sure where Ana had gotten it, but it must have cost a lot, but it made her smile when she saw it. The name on the screen made her smile even more, it was Rapunzel.
“Hey! I’ve missed you guys this week!” Emma said after she answered.
“Emma!!!” She heard at least three different voices screaming her name.
“Guess where we are?” Ana cried; her excitement almost visible through face-time. Emma couldn’t tell where they were, besides it being a clothing store.
“Where? Shopping?”
“I’m getting MARRIED!” Rapunzel screeched, coming into view on the phone in a white gown. She was jumping up and down so much that she ended up falling off the pedestal with a loud thump.
“What?” Emma asked, surprised. “To whom?”
“Oh my gosh, his name is Eugene and he is the most adorable guy ever. Emma you will love him!” Rapunzel was getting up off the floor, with some difficulty due to the tight mermaid style dress. “I met him like a month ago and he was this ‘bad boy’ going by Flynn, but he is the biggest sweetheart!”
“Wow, that’s crazy.” Emma wasn’t sure what to say, she didn’t even know who this guy was and Rapunzel had only known him for a little bit. Worry for her friend temporarily replaced her own issues.
“Don’t worry.” Ana whispered into the phone after Rapunzel went to try on a new dress. “I totally had one of my friends to a background check on him, Kristoff knows this guy who knows a cop. He came up clean, Eugene did that is. Kristoff did too, but well this isn’t about him. And I put him through my tests. You know the ones where I make R like an hour late to a date or call with and emergency to see how he would react. He passed! He even let R and I drag him shopping, he sat in the mall for like 3 hours for her. I had to have a talk with R because there was no way I was going to let her marry a man she just met, not after my Hans debacle, and of course you remember me telling you about my sister and how mad she was! Yikes. But I promise he’s good! Besides, if he’s not we know how to get rid of him and you can be my lawyer! Won’t that be fun?” By the end of Ana’s monologue Emma was laughing. She had missed her friends fiercely and hearing them made everything better.
She talked to both of them for a while longer, helping critique the wedding dressed and catching up on their lives. When she hung up, she laid on her bed a stared at the ceiling. Not for the first time, loneliness swelled in her heart. She was thousands of miles away from her mother, from her friends, from her life. She tried not to cry while thinking about her family, she had had to fight for it, but somehow, she got one. What was she doing so far away from it? Then she thought about the past week and how much she was enjoying her classes, sure she met a few bumps in the road, but what was that compared to doing something she knew in her soul would be a part of her life. While trying to dispel the melancholy she heard a soft knock came on her door.
Emma curiously moved to the door and opened it. On the other side stood a young woman in muted colors. Her hair was blonde and pin straight, she had kind blue eyes that gave away the nerves she was feeling, she wore a gray Harvard sweatshirt and simple black leggings. Shifting her hips, she opened and closed her mouth a few times before going for it.
“Hi, are you um, are you Emma Swan?” She asked shyly, her eyes moved to a point out of Emma’s vision, before returning to hers.
“Yeah, that’s me.” Emma responded.
“Hi, yeah, I’m um Ashley.”
“Hi.” Emma was confused as to why she was at her door. She had met a few of the girls in the dorm but they were all busy with classes, so there wasn’t much of a chance to socialize with them.
“So, with it being the new semester and all, a few of us wanted to get together and have a party. You know, one more before the year gets crazy.” She laughed, but it was a high pitch nervous laughter that set Emma on edge, especially when her eyes once again moved to a point out of Emma’s field of vision.
“A party? That sounds fun.” Emma said slowly, wondering what was going on.
“Yeah, it’s going to be very fun. And well I wanted to invite you. I know it’s your first year and I wanted to make you feel welcome.” Ashley stumbled over her words a bit, her eyes darting between Emma and the unknown point. “It’s going to be tomorrow and well, here’s the address.” She shoved a piece of paper into Emma’s hand.
“Um, yeah that sounds fun. I’ll definitely be there.” She was still wary about the whole thing, but a party might help her get a little bit of the homesickness gone.
“Oh!” Ashely paused and gulped. “I almost forgot one thing.”
“Yeah?” Emma’s lie detector was flashing red in her mind.
“It’s a costume party!” Ashley tried for excitement but her voice squeaked out, breaking. “You know, something to really help everyone let loose before the whole semester.”
“A costume party?” Emma echoed.
“Yup, so have fun with a costume, I’ll see you tomorrow night.” Ashley practically ran away as soon as the sentence finished.
Emma took a moment to take in what just happened. She leaned casually on her door frame and moved her head minutely to see what Ashley had been glancing at, or in this case, who. Tamara stood at the end of the hall, smirking towards Emma, a trembling Ashely next to her. Emma pretended to look at the address on the slip of paper while her mind raced. Then all at once everything calmed and a grim determination settled in her. She wasn’t going to be put off by this, she was going to show them she didn’t care what they thought of her

dolphin keeper!seokmin
Tumblr media
pairing: dolphin keeper!lee seokmin x vet!reader (n) genre: fluff word count: 1,840 a/n: this has been sitting in my drafts for forever, i’m sorry it took me so long to finally finish it!! anyways, this was such a cute concept and i’m so glad i was able to write it :’) thank you for the request!! ♡ best read on desktop, use mobile browser if you can’t read under the cut ♡
lee seokmin is the cutest funniest dolphin keeper in the universe
first fell in love with the ocean when his family went on a trip to jeju when he was eight
they were walking around the coast and seok absolutely?? was just mesmerized with the way the waves crashed against the ocean,, the beautiful tones of blue in the waves,, his big eyes peering into the water to look at the little fish swimming around ugh so precious
literally begged his parents to let him take swimming lessons as soon as he got home
and that was the start of a beautiful perfect pair: seokmin and the ocean
at first he wanted to be a marine biologist, but after a seventh grade field trip to the aquarium and seeing one of the scuba divers in the tanks with the fish, he changed his mind -- he wanted to do that!!
luckily one of his friends seungkwan, who was a sloth cuddler at the zoo, mentioned that there was an opening for a dolphin keeper position!
seokmin at the interview: “wanna see my seal impression?”
at first he was a little nervous since he had no experience whatsoever,, accidentally tripped on the fish bucket when first meeting the dolphins
but once he met gyul and podo? literal heart eyes
as soon as he saw them,, immediately wanted to get into the pool and swim with them
“seokmin wait you don’t have proper gear on” “it’s fine!! i’m willing to take the risk!!”
can you imagine him in a blue wetsuit, yellow fishing type overalls with a cute lil dolphin patch in the middle!! i’m sad
turns out, seokmin is really good with dolphins the same way he’s great with people!!
podo is absolutely enthralled with seok.. she thinks he’s soooo handsome!! always squeaks when he comes into the pool~
gyul gets a little jealous,, but he doesn’t mind since seok always sneaks him extra squid snacks
they’re his actual children, literally seokmin walking into the pool room: “where are my babies~~”
does demonstrations for elementary school kids!! he teaches them how to “speak gyul and podo’s language” and also gives a presentation on how to reduce plastic waste
honestly really cute, super endearing seeing seok and a bunch of eight year olds squeaking with the dolphins
has a bunch of drawings of him and the dolphins hung up on his fridge back home,, he always gets them in his work mailbox as thank you notes!!
okay but listen,, as great as he is with children and dolphins alike,, seokmin wasn’t necessarily the.. most careful keeper at the zoo..
to be honest, everyone was a little worried at how clumsy seok was,, but they realized how much the dolphins loved him and so they just kinda deal with it
accidentally slipped and fell into the pool while trying to get one of podo’s toys,,,, it’s fine
you, on the other hand, just recently graduated from vet school, and having interned at the zoo for years now, they offered you a job right away
you watched a ton of animal documentaries growing up!! and honestly, going to the zoo was one of your favorite things to do as a kid,,
so it was no surprise that your dream was to work with animals!! but you’ve always had a soft spot for marine life :(
your first encounter with seokmin was super brief, when you had stopped by the break room to buy some coffee,, he was soaked.. bunches of paper towels in his hands,,
poor kid was trying to dry himself with paper towels and so naturally you just offered some help
seok didn’t even notice you come in!! but when he looked over to see whose voice it was,, perhaps his heart skipped a beat or two,,
“i’m okay, don’t worry! it’s just.. i fell into the pool again and i also forgot to do the laundry so we don’t have any towels..” he rambled, his ears burning a shade of tomato red
“i’m sure we have extra towels at the clinic? and i think the others would like it if there wasn’t a huge puddle of water in the break room,,” you giggled, seok shooting you a confused look
“you work at the clinic?” “yeah, i’m the new vet”
and literally seokmin drops his paper towels and palms his forehead bc,, how tf he gonna look so STUPID in front of the new vet
also since when has the new vet been so cute?
“so,, do you still want a towel?” “please... that’d be nice”
and so that’s how seok ends up in your office for the first time, cracking stingray jokes and drying out his hair while you’re sitting on top of your desk, laughing at the very cute but clumsy dolphin keeper
you don’t really see seokmin all that much for a while, since there was a pretty bad infection going around the seals, you dedicated your time to them
but to be honest seokmin can’t get you out of his head,, he keeps thinking about the cute vet that laughs at his jokes
one day seok asks you to come to the dolphin exhibit because gyul isn’t acting like his normal self and he was absolutely worried,, ran straight to your office
turns out poor baby has indigestion :(
the reason? seok tripped when he was feeding them and the whole bucket of herrings fell straight into the pool
you, jaw dropped to the floor: “are you being serious”
seokmin: “yes listen i’m really sorry okay i tried to stop him from eating all of them but he’s just.. too fast”
you can’t help but laugh at how,, silly seokmin is!! literally the kid has a heart of gold but also legs made out of jello
the two of you are just in the pool, gyul is nuzzling you as you rub his belly,, podo is circling seokmin nervously,, he has to calm her down poor baby girl :(
but you figure out the problem, gyul just has to take some meds and go on a strict diet for the next two weeks!!
you offer to stop by everyday to check up on gyul,, in case seok needs help taking care of him or anything
you may or may not… use this.. as an excuse to see seokmin
gyul starts to grow super fond of you,, squeaking and swimming to the edge of the pool every time you walk into the room!!
but podo doesn’t like you bc she thinks you’re too close to her favorite keeper
even if you give her squid snacks,, she won’t eat them unless seok gives them to her
you’re a little bummed by it, but you know not every animal is going to fall in love with you,, it is a little hard though, especially if you’re the one responsible for their health
two weeks pass and gyul is all better, but podo is still a bit aggressive towards you,,
seokmin’s new mission: getting podo to like you!!
him: “have you thought about dressing as a clown? she’d find it funny”
you: “what”
him: “ok i guess we’ll move onto plan b?”
honestly it’s really cute it’s kind of like he’s trying to convince his little sister that his significant other isn’t a bad person
you and seokmin spend the next couple of days,, coming up with a plan in the break room during lunch
the two of you finding out more about each other along the way, sharing your love for the ocean and marine life!!
seokmin finally gets the courage to ask for your number,, the first text you get from him is a photo of him and gyul in the pool :(
honestly?? you squealed into your pillow that night LMAO
you make it routine to send him cute photos of seals and otters,, he sends you penguin memes probably
your coworkers would start to notice,, teasing you while you’re doing paperwork in your office,, nurses “i see you spending time with that cute dolphin keeper,, when’s the wedding?”
they’d tease you even more once they saw how red your cheeks would get,, because honestly, the more time you spent with seokmin, the more you realized that not only is he handsome, but he has the purest heart in the world
even if he is.. a little clumsy.. and forgetful.. he puts the animals before himself and you love that about him!!
but this was work,, there was no place for any sort of relationship here
seokmin on the other hand?? has three heart emojis next to your name on his phone
absolutely smitten with you,, knew you were the one for him when you first got into the pool, the smile on your face when gyul swam up to you,, he thought you shined brighter than the sun (as cheesy as that sounds it’s true)
he really wanted to take you to his favorite beach,, in jeju,, where he first fell in love with the ocean
but he had to ask you on a date first and honestly,, he wasn’t even sure if you felt the same way
feelings aside, the two of you come to the conclusion that you should try,, spending time with podo by yourselves, without seokmin
so for the next few days,, while seokmin was on his lunch break, you’d hop into the pool and hang out with the dolphins for a little bit!!
gyul was so happy to see you again,, but podo distanced herself a bit from you,, staying in the corner of the pool until seokmin came back
until one day,, gyul was in a different pool for training, and it was just you and podo,,
and you figured,, might as well try one more time,, holding out her favorite squid snack
slowly but surely,, podo came to you, taking the squid snack,, even letting you pat her head!!
you were absolutely over the moon, because after months of hostility,, this was the first time podo had ever let you pet her,,
as soon as seok came back from his break,, you threw your arms around his neck,, telling him that the plan worked!! and even though she wasn’t in love with you yet,, this was a start and progress should be celebrated regardless of how big or small
seok’s face is literally tomato red at this point but thank god you can’t see it,,
“we should celebrate after work then”
and you look at him,, his eyes trying to avoid yours in case you reject him,,, and you do it
you peck him quickly on the cheek,, and you’re just like, “yeah, i think we should”
before he can say anything,, you realize what you did and your face turns into a tomato,, your hands flying up to your lips,, like i can’t believe i just kissed him
but he grins, taking your hands into his, intertwining his fingers with yours,, pressing his lips against your knuckles
“so it’s a date?”

37. Ever had a near death experience?
Yes, actually. I think twice...ish. Maybe three times.
1. First one was when I was in kindergarten. Maybe it doesn’t count, but out of all of these, it’s definitely the one that I most likely could have died. I was walking home from school with my brother and our neighbor, and someone tried to kidnap us. The guy pulled up in a car and told us that our parents sent him to pick us up. And I would have gotten in the car in a heartbeat, because I was 5 years old and did what I was told. But my neighbor was a little jackass and immediately started mouthing off to the guy. “Oh yeah? You know my mom? What’s her name? Where is she right now? Where do I live?” And for all that he was a little jackass, it was a smart move. The guy decided we were a pain in the ass and took off. As an adult, I realize that little jackass probably saved my life.
2. Seventh Grade German class. Student brought a gun to school. He was going after a specific student and that student was in my class at the time. The one and only time I was ever on lockdown at school. Thankfully nothing happened, but it was terrifying.
3. Also Seventh Grade. Not at school though, at CCD. I’m sure I could google what CCD stands for — I didn’t even know when I was a kid. But it was basically after school religious education classes at church. My parents made us go every year from kindergarten until our Confirmation, which for me was Senior Year of high school. In CCD one night, we were discussing the story of Moses and the movie the Ten Commandments, and one of my classmates decided to demonstrate on me how Moses choked the Egyptian soldier to death in the movie. He was choking me in the middle of class, and literally no one did anything. The teacher just yelled, “Stop it!” Over and over. Meanwhile I couldn’t breathe and was absolutely sure I was going to die. And finally he just stopped. Probably the most traumatic experience of my childhood and honestly likely the biggest factor today in why I am so anti organized religion. Religion makes people do stupid things like hate people who are different and hurt people who don’t deserve it. Fuck ‘em. (Note, this is probably the one and only time I will ever say anything about religion on my blog.)
4. If there’s a 4th, it would be when I was hospitalized with pneumonia and pleurisy in 2017. Ironically, the symptoms of the pleurisy hit me two hours after I walked into the house from my Crater Lake trip. I basically exhausted myself to death on that trip. The thing is, it was the worst pain I’d ever felt in my life, and I felt like death, and everyone told me over and over again that pneumonia could kill me, but I never really thought that I was going to die, so that might not count as a near death experience, even though in reality it was probably the closest that I came to dying in any of these situations.
Soooo... too much? Haha. I said I’d bare it all.

Grow Old With Me?
Summary: childhood friends to lovers arc because WHY NOT
Pairing: Royality, analogical,
Warning: homophobia
-
Patton sat on the swing, swaying back and forth slightly, watching the other kids play. It wasnt that he didnt want to play, it's just that he was too shy to talk to anyone, and no one came up to him really.
"Hi! I'm Roman! What's you name? Do you want to be friends?"
Well, other than this kid. Patton blinked at him in shock, and then smiled, "Yeah! My names Patton!"
Roman grin took up almost his whole face, "Hi Patton!" He held up the plastic sword, "d'you wanna quest with me?"
Patton hopped off the swing and picked up a stick, brandishing it like a sword, "let's go!"
-
Roman stood under the awning with Patton, talking energetically as he waited for his dads to come pick him up.
"-and THATS why Eugene is the BEST Disney prince ever! Even my Papi agrees, he agrees a lot actually. Dad says he has a crush on him because he likes him so much!"
Patton tilted his head, confused, "you have two dads?"
Roman's smile faltered slightly, "um, yeah, is that ok?"
Patton thought for a second, and then nodded, smiling, "yeap!"
Roman's grin returned full force, "great! By the way, who's your favorite Disney movie?"
And they talked and talked until one of the monitors called out, "Roman Sanders! Your parents are here!"
Roman smiled and waved to Patton, "see you tomorrow best friend!"
Patton smiled back and waved, "bye Roman!"
Roman climbed into his car, "hey Ro! Have a good first day of kindergarten?"
Roman smiled at his Papi, "yeah! I made a new friend! His name is Patton and hes really cool and he has a Winnie the Pooh backpack and he fought a dragon witch with me and hes my new best friend!"
His Dad smiled at him in the mirror, "I take it you had fun today, Roman?"
Roman smiled back, "I did!
Logan smirked at his husband, "I told you he would be fine."
Virgil huffed slightly, "you wound me, my love."
-
Patton woke up excited. Why? Because it was the first day of third grade, and he would get to see his best friend for the first time in three months.
He got on the bus nervously, hoping none of the kids had gotten mean over the summer. Thankfully, and kind of sadly, no one talked to him as he walked to his seat, everyone was tired and ready for the day to begin.
He walked into his new class, hoping it had Roman in it, but he didnt see him. He walked around, looking for a seat that was somewhat on its own, before he was hugged from behind, "Hey Pat!!!"
Patton turned around, smiling at his best friend, "Hi, Roman!"
Roman smiled, grabbing his hand, "let's go find places to sit!"
-
After Christmas break, the teacher went up to the front of the class guiding a little boy by his shoulders, "everyone, this is Emile, say hello!"
The entire class chorused, "Hello Emile!"
The teacher smiled, and turned to Emile, "is there anything you'd like to say about yourself?" Emile shook his head, looking at the ground. The teacher smiled, "that's ok dearie!" She looked around the room and her gaze landed on Patton and Roman's desk, which had one other kid, "why dont you sit over there, ok?"
Emile nodded and walked over slowly. As he sat down Patton smiled, "hi! I'm Patton!" Emile smiled slightly, but didnt say anything back, instead opening a book and starting to read.
-
It was fifth grade that Patton realized, he liked guys maybe more than other boys did. It wasnt his fault he hadn't noticed! He thought everyone liked boys like that! It wasnt like he didnt like girls though, so he couldn't be gay. He had had a 'girlfriend' in fourth grade! Well, they had never kissed or anything, but still! It wasnt like he was gay!
-
One night, in sixth grade, when he was sleeping over at Roman's house, he decided that the best person to ask about whether or not he was gay would be one of Roman's dads.
He walked into the kitchen, where Mr. Logan was grading papers, "Mr. Logan?"
Logan looked up, "yes Patton? Do you need water?"
Patton shook his head, "uh, no, I just... had a question..."
Logan frowned and leaned back in his chair, "about what?"
Patton nervously bounced on the heels of his feet, "well, I, uh.... howdidyouknowyouweregay?"
Logan frowned, "what possessed you to ask me all of a sudden?"
Patton chewed on his bottom lip, "well, I was thinking, and I realized I like guys, like, a lot, but I also like girls so..."
Logan smiled, "have you ever heard of bisexual? Or pansexual?"
Patton tilted his head, "uh.....no?"
"Its basically when a person likes people regardless of gender." Logan explained.
Patton sighed, "oooooooohhhhh. Oh, ok." He grinned, "thanks Mr. Logan!"
Logan bowed his head, "my pleasure Patton."
-
One day, in seventh grade, Roman strutted into the classroom wearing a red skirt and gold long sleeved shirt, he was also wearing a golden necklace with a small dark garnet on the pendant.
Patton blinked at his friend for a minute, not fully computing the image in front of him, "...what are you wearing?"
Roman smirked at sat down, "a skirt, was it not obvious?"
Patton giggled a little, "yeah but... you can DO that?"
Roman smiled, "of course! It's just clothing!"
Patton looked at the desk, "oh."
Roman's smile faded, "is it weird? Do you not like it?"
Patton shook his head, "no, no, I love it!"
Roman tried to ignore the small thrill that went through him at that, "then what's wrong?"
Patton thought for a second, "well, nothing actually!"
Roman grinned, "perfect! Because I look awesome."
Patton giggled, "I'd have to agree."
-
"Romaaaaaaaaan!"
"Yeah Pat?"
"...I have a problem."
"With what?"
Just after Roman had uttered the question, Remy Somnus walked past, the problem in question, he smiled slightly at Patton, "Hey Pat!" They said, raising their hand in greeting.
"Um, hi, Remy" Patton squeaked, blushing bright red. Remy smiled before moving on.
Something twisted in Roman's chest, something dark and ugly and... painful. But he shoved it down at Pattons pleading eyes. He always was a sucker for those puppy-dog eyes. "Please help me. I'm a disaster around them."
Roman laughed despite the pain in his chest, "obviously."
Patton grinned, the gleam that entered his eyes whenever he was about to pun returning, "I need, roman-ce advice!"
Roman laughed, "one of your better puns Pat!"
Patton gave him a little bow, "thank you sir"
Roman smiled, "but yeah," he internally screamed, but what came out of his mouth was, "I'll help you with Remy."
Patton grinned, "oh my- THANK YOUUUU!"
-
Eighth grade was the worst year of Roman's life. He had, true to his promise, helped Patton with Remy. Unfortunately, that worked. So Patton and Remy dated for the entirety of eighth grade.
However, halfway through summer vacation, Patton called Roman.
"Sup Pat?"
"Hey."
"Are you ok?"
"... can we go get ice cream?"
"Let me go ask my dads..."
His dads said yes without much protest once he explained how dejected Patton had sounded over the phone, and drove him over to Pattons, and then to an ice cream place, where they told Roman to text them when he was ready to leave and left them alone.
Roman licked his ice cream cone, "soooo, what's up?"
Patton stabbed his ice cream with his spoon, "...me and Remy broke up."
Roman feigned sadness while the asshole inside him danced around laughing, "what?! What happened? Who do I need to beat up?"
Patton looked at him, shocked, "no! You dknt need to beat anyone up!"
Roman frowned, "then... why are you so sad?"
Patton sighed, "they told me that they thought I was into you and told me to choose you or them."
Roman was stunned, "and... you chose me?" His hopes soared higher than a skyscraper.
Patton looked taken aback, "of course! You're my best friend!" His hopes fell all the way back down to the ground, and then some.
He smiled, "well, thanks."
Patton grinned, "of course!"
-
It wasnt until tenth grade until Patton returned Roman's feelings, Roman had come to school wearing a high waisted skirt and leggings, and a red tank that said, "The Prince" in glittery gold letters. When Patton first saw him, he almost had an anime nosebleed moment. Roman noticed him and grinned, running toward him, "hey pat! Like the outfit?"
Patton nodded, not trusting himself to speak.
"You ok? You look a little like an owl there buddy."
Patton shook himself back into reality and smiled, "no, no, I'm fine. You look amazing!"
Roman grinned, "I know right?"
-
Roman invited Patton over for the night, their New Years tradition since first grade, and Patton was intent on telling him how he felt.
His first opportunity came during dinner, the talk had turned to romance, with Logan and Virgil telling stories of when they were first dating, Roman had sighed wistfully and said, "I hope I have such a compelling story to tell my kids."
Patton could have said something, he opened his mouth, but he... he couldnt.
The second came as they were playing a game, "I wish as many people liked me as they like you." Roman said.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, so many people like you. I'm just... there."
'You're so much more than that.' Patton thought, but he said nothing.
The third opportunity came at midnight, he was going to kiss Roman to start the new year off right. But... he couldnt.
But finally, while Logan and Virgil were setting off fireworks, and Roman was looking at them, awestruck, and he looked so beautiful in the shades of red and pink and yellow, and finally, Patton tapped Roman on the shoulder. Roman turned to him, his smile slightly confused, "yeah Pat?"
Pattons heart was beating a thousand miles per minute, and finally he exhaled, looked Roman in the eyes, and said, "please dont hate me after this."
Roman frowned, "Patton what do you mea-"
Patton cut him off with a soft kiss. Then he pulled away, "was that ok?"
Roman looked at him the same way he had looked at the fireworks, "Patton, I-" he sighed, and smiled, "yeah, it was perfect."
They kissed again, until they were interrupted by Virgil yelling, "Wait! Wait! Which one of you finally did it?" Roman and Patton looked at him in confusion, but Roman pointed at Patton. "Dammit! Now I owe your father twenty bucks!"
Logan smiled and draped his arm around Virgils shoulders, "I would take a different kind of payment."
Virgil rolled his eyes, but smiled as he leaned in to kiss his husband.
-
The day before eleventh grade started, Roman opened the door, which someone had been banging on with the force of a medieval battering ram, and saw, "Patton?"
His boyfriend was red in the face, and panting, and sweating like he had ran all the way here. There was a canvas duffel bag at his feet, and tears running down his face. He rushed at Roman and hugged him tightly. "Whoah, whoah, babe? Are you ok?" Patton mumbled something into his chest, "darling, I cant hear that."
Patton pulled his head away, and started talking through his sobs, "my, my mom, found out, she, she found out I'm pan, and she, she said it's just because, just because I've been around your, your family, and she, she kicked me out."
Romans eyes flared and he wanted to find that bitch and strangle her. But right now Patton needed him. "Shh, it's ok, I got you, ok? We're gonna figure this out."
"Roman? What's going on?" Virgil walked into the entrance hallway and saw the scene, he took in the duffel bag, the crying Patton, and Roman who looked like he wanted to strangle someone. He put a hand on Pattons shoulder and asked him softly, "do you need a place to stay?"
Patton nodded, and Virgil nodded back, "ok, you can stay in the guest room." He glared at Roman, "no he cannot stay in your room."
Roman whined, "why nooooot."
Virgil raised an eyebrow, "hes your boyfriend. Do I have to explain further?"
Patton laughed as Roman muttered, "I guess not."
-
Roman adjusted the cuffs on his suit jacket. He was dressed in a red jacket with black slacks and a white shirt and gold bow tie. "Patton! Are you ready? We have to leave soon!"
"Almooooost!" Came the call from upstairs. Roman waited a few seconds before Patton sung-called "I'm ready!" Roman turned towards the stairs and had to catch his breath. Patton was wearing a long sleeved blue blouse, and a swishy yellow skirt, separated by a pink ribbon with a bow in the back. He was wearing a white headband and a rose gold necklace with a small rose pendant on it, all with sky blue flats with small bows on the toes. He smiled and twirled, then placed his hand in Roman's, "ready for prom?" He asked, his eyes shining.
Roman grinned, "of course."
-
They were twenty five and walking through the park on their anniversary. Patton was fiddling with something in his skirt pocket, had been the whole date, and Roman noticed, but he didnt say anything. They walked up to a fountain, and stood, watching the water fall for a minute, before Patton began talking, "Roman?"
"Yes mi amor?"
Patton sighed and turned to him, "we've been dating for 11 years, and they've been the best years of my life."
Roman looked at him, confused, "mine too."
Patton smiled and bounced slightly, "well, I just cant believe that all of this is real, and... well, I'm not good at romantic declarations so..." he got down on one knee.
"Oh my god." Roman brought his hands up to his face in shock.
"Roman Royal Sanders,"
"Oh my god" his eyes started to fill with happy tears.
"Would you grow old with me?"
"Oh my god YES! YES!" He flung himself at his boyfriend-fiancè and hugged him, then kissed him.
Patton pulled back and slid the ring onto Roman's finger, a band of gold with a ruby sun set on it.
-
Roman took a breath as he looked at himself in the mirror, he was wearing a black and white tuxedo with a red tie. He took a deep breath and shook his hands out. "Nervous?" Came from behind him.
Roman turned around to see his Papi in his black and purple suit. "Papi!" He said, and ran and hugged him, he pulled back, "to answer your question, yes. Very. I'm very nervous."
His Papi smiled, "did you know I was nervous when I married your dad?"
Roman frowned, "you make it sound like you were so confident though!"
Virgil laughed, "yeah, well, I was. But I was still nervous." He clasped Roman's shoulder, "it's a big move. I'd be worried if you weren't nervous."
Roman smiled, "thanks Papi."
-
Roman looked at the archway where his now-husband would come through. The wedding location could barely be more picturesque. It was a large field full of wildflowers and ringed with trees, the archway was draped with babys breath and yellow tulips. And then Patton walked through. He was wearing a beautiful white dress with blue train, he had a flower crown on his head, and a bouquet clutched between both hands. He was so handsome.
The priest said all the usual things, and then left them to their vows.
Roman went first, "Patton, when I first met you, we were so young, and we've grown and changed since then, and I quite like it all. But what mesmerizes me the most, is how, out of millions of galaxies, planets, universes, we ended up here, holding hands, getting married, and I could not be luckier. So, Patton Thomas Hart, I take you for my lawfully wedded husband."
Patton smiled, "Roman, when you first met me, I was a shy, lonely little kid, and I wanted a friend more than anything, and you gave me one, and so much more. You helped break me out of my shell, helped me figure out who I am, you helped me when I needed it, and even if theres no such thing as soulmates, you're the closest I could get. So, Roman Royal Sanders, I take you as my lawfully wedded husband."
-
(Can yall tell I've never been to a wedding before? Oh, wait, I have, I just wasnt paying attention)
-
Roman paced the waiting room, breathing heavy, and trying not to faint. Patton smiled at him from his seat, "Roman, honey, itll be fine."
Roman groaned, "what if I mess them up? What if they hate me? What if, what if,"
Patton stood up and rested his hand on Roman's arm, "Roman, honey, b r e a t h e."
Roman sighed, "yeah, yeah, ok."
Patton smiled, and the doctor came in, "you can go in now sirs."
They walked in and smiled at the girl on the hospital bed. She smiled tiredly and gestured at the crib holding the baby. "There he is, can I just... hold him for a second?"
Patton nodded, "of course." He picked up the baby and gave him to his mother.
She smiled sadly at the baby in her arms, "hello there. I'm sorry, but these men can give you a better home than I can, ok? I'm not ready. Not yet. But they are, you be good for them ok? They're your dads now." She smiled at them, tears in her eyes, "what are you gonna name him?"
Patton held her hand, "Thomas."
She smiled, "ok, Thomas, this is my goodbye, ok? Bye bye."
Patton kissed his new son on the forehead, and smiled up at Roman, then looked back to the tired girl on the hospital bed, "we'll take care of him."
She smiled, "good."
-
Patton breathed in and out as he laid in the hospital bed. It had been a long life, and he was ready to go. He smiled at Roman, who was crying. "No, you can't go, I'm not ready."
Patton smiled sadly and put a hand on Roman's cheek, "I am, and I will meet you there, I promise."
Roman breathed out, "ok, ok."
Patton laughed weakly, "thank you for growing old with me, Roman."
Roman kissed him softly, "I would do it over again in a heartbeat."
Patton smiled as he sank into the pillow.
He died with a smile on his face.
-
Roman ran toward the lonely boy on the swings, "Hi! I'm Roman! What's your name? Wanna be friends?"
The other boy blinked, then smiled shyly, "yeah! I'm Patton!"

So can we talk about.... Dean has a crush on bother Daphne and Fred all through his childhood.... No... Ok so yeah he could verbalise his like of Daphne 'cause that's allowed.... ( When he was growing up) but he is still acting about Fred like 'ah he annoys me' ...just like when you are in seventh grade and you only pull the pigtails of the one you fancy... Yeah 'he/she's soooo annoying' to you cause you don't realise you have a crush you're too young... Dean had as much of a crush on Fred as he did Daphne... Then Grown up Dean suddenly understands this and that he has always been attracted to Fred, doesn't know what to do so over verbalises his 'Daphne' crush.... Then when it's time to pair up he first goes quiet..... Working out he can spend time with Fred if he pairs with Daphne, cause he know, he loves Scooby-Doo cartoon enough to know, that no matter what..... FRED WILL ALWAYS PAIR UP WITH DAPHNE!!!! Dean wants Fred to come too! Cough cough... Dean has slotted himself into a couple with both his crushes...( Don't be fooled by the way he acts...he's loving it) The only Thing that could have made this whole Bi-Dean Fred crush better would have been if...... First let's face this Fred is Bi... If Fred took a liking to Cas and wanted to pair with Cas.... We would have seen Dean's reaction to this.... It would have been SOOOOOOO awesome.... Part of him happy with Daphne then he'd hear Cas laugh or See Fred flirt with Cas or Cas innocently enough stand too close or agree with Fred or be like 'Well Fred said...' And we see Dean get all kinds of jealous about all of it not knowing who or what upset him more.... Because let's face it DEAN I'm a man's man... Decided to put on an Ascot... Daphne did not put it on him.... Nor is it Same colour as hers... NO DEAN WINCHESTER PUTS ON A FRIGGING ASCOT THAT IS ALMOST THE SAME COLOUR AS FRED'S.... DEAN DOES NOT HATE FRED..... DEAN HAS MOST DEFINITELY GOT THE HOTS FOR FRED..... EVEN MORE THAN HE DOES DAPHNE BY THE END..... Thank Scooby-Doo/SPN writers... I bloody love you for this..... Even in cartoon world Dean is Bi!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖

Lazy Uni student worker gets creepy. I get even.
This story takes place way back when I was in high school, back in the 90s. And though it is revenge, I don't know if it's petty.
To give a little context, our Junior high and high school were all in the same building. My small group of friends and I were all part of the AV club since seventh grade. By the time we were in 11th grade, I was the De Facto leader of the group. The teachers that ran the AV room trusted me implicitly.
I'm a person that finds certain textures soothing, so what started with me obsessively running my hands over a friend's short hair turned into giving my crush shoulder and head massages - this is important later.
So during our 11th grade the AV club got a student worker - an university student that needed to complete work hours. This was weird to us as all members of the club essentially worked for it. We took down reservations for equipments and ran them to and from classrooms, we made copies and transparencies (oh yeah, old school tech!). And since the higher grades tended to have more free hours, we even recorded classes when the teachers requested it. Well, we thought we were gonna have more time to goof off as this student worker will now do a lot of this.
Wrong. She was soooo lazy. She wouldn't get up from the comfy chair (that we all shared equally), took credit for our work, and she would only work if she was alone. It didn't really matter to us as we were used to the work, but sometimes my friends would look at me like "fix it". But I didn't really want to hurt her grades or whatever, and it would only be a semester, two at most. So I let it slide.
Until! Remember that I said I gave on of my best friend's shoulder massages? This university student, who had to be 20 or so, had the gall to ask 15 yo me (I had skipped a grade so I was a year younger than everyone) to give her a massage next. Ah, no thank you. But she had just given me the ammo I needed.
Next day, I ask the AV teacher to talk privately. I start telling him that the student worker was lazy, didn't do any of the work she took credit for, but we were willing to overlook it, but that she made some of us uncomfortable with her familiarity (specially towards the guys) and that she had asked me to massage her. He was horrified. I mean, all of us knew it was weird back then, but looking at it now as an adult, I see how horribly bad touch icky it was. We never saw her again.

Some DEH Headcannons (updated)
Here are some headcanons of mine inspired by other people’s and stuff and just my weird imagination! (also sorry if I spell anything wrong, I am an awful speller tbh) *TRIGGER WARNING* I am not the best speller
I'm also total tree bro’s trash here soooo yea.
Also - things in Italics are new
Evan
Evan and Connor meet in the computer lab
and Evan printed out his therapy letter and Connor went to pick it up while waiting for his assignment (in this AU Evan didn’t write about Zoe, ‘cause he thought that he didn’t have a chance with her so he gave up)
Connor signed Evan’s cast and drove him home (Ev’s mum was at work) and at that moment he realized, that he had a crush on Connor and he didn’t know what to do so he called Jared (which was a BIG mistake)
the next day Jared was joking that Evan had a crush on someone and Evan was getting really embarrassed, so when Connor waked by he said, “Hansen and Murphy sitting in a tree” which made Connor think that Evan liked his sister
Connor got mad at Evan and Evan just ran to the furthest bathroom to get away
They eventually became better friends, ‘cause Connor would always drive him home, and this was Evan’s first real friend
Evan likes to bake sometimes to get his mind off things when he’s anxious, he mainly makes biscuits and simple deserts
Everyone would come over and the house would smell AMAZING from all the baking, and everyone would just INHALE the treats in seconds
Connor tried to bake for Evan’s birthday once and almost lit the house on fire, Zoe had to stop him from putting pot in the cake
Connor ended up just buying a cake, but Evan was still really proud of him
In freshmen year, Evan saw that Zoe was in jazz band and he thought that if he could play an instrument, he would have something in common with here and could, you know, talk to her
So he one day he was looking online and he thought that he could play the ukulele ‘cause it didn't look that hard bad difficult to play (kinky) see what I did there with the sincerely me reference
Evan ordered one online and learned pretty quickly from online video’s of other people playing
Heidi heard him playing but didn't say anything ‘cause he was happy and she didn't want him to feel like she was constantly listing to him play
One day, Connor was hanging out at Evan’s and went to grab a snack or something, but took long enough for Evan to forget that he was there and decided to play his ukulele and work a bit on a song he was writing, when Connor was walking down the hall to Evan’s room, he heard him playing and just sat against the door for a bit, until Evan sneezed and Connor consciously said “bless you”, which broke the silence (more about this in Connor’s bio)
Turns out Evan was writing a song for Connor but was too anxious to admit it
Connor asked for him to play the tune just so he could listen to it again and hummed along softly
Evan finished the song and it was kinda like “If I Could Tell Her” but it was Evan singing about Connor, to himself, (yea I know vErY oRiGinAl, I aM tOtaLy tHe fIrsT pErsOn tO thInK oF thIs)
On Connor’s Birthday, Evan bought him a bunch of sweatshirts, (‘cause he always stole them ‘cause they made him feel relaxed and calm like if Connor was with him) and also made him a cholate cake with white icing and black candles, there where some sprinkles around the words “happy birthday Connor!”
It was the best thing that Connor ever ate
he had like five slices, it was that good
k I'm gonna stop with Evan now, cause I could sit here all day talking about him and how much of a cinnamon roll he is
Connor
He grew a love of drawing and sketching in seventh grade, but was made fun of because people said he was turning into an edgy-emo-artist
He always hid his art from others, since then because he was embarrassed
He wants to go to an art university
The day he took Evan’s note, (in this universe he didn't die) he drew Evan in his sketchbook, then realized how mean he was to him, and that Evan didn’t laugh at him
Connor ended up drawing Evan a lot
Zoe once caught Connor drawing Evan on math homework, and Connor got all flustered and ripped the paper up, giving him a 0 on his homework, but he didn’t care
Weeks later, after Connor became good friends with Evan, Zoe snooped into Connor’s backpack and found a sketchbook filled page to page with drawings of Evan and some notes to himself and some of Evan’s therapy notes, taped onto the pages
Connor caught here snooping and got really upset, but Evan was there to calm him down
Connor eventually decided to show Evan his drawing and Evan felt his face heat up, ‘cause the sketches dated back to September, where he and Connor first meet
On winter break, the Murphy’s went skiing, so Evan and Connor exchanged emails
Connor secretly printed some of them and put them into his sketchbook
Connor absolutely LOVED Evan’s cooking
he would find any excuse to get Evan to bake biscuits for him
Once when Connor was hanging at Evan’s he heard him playing music and was confused at first, cause Evan didn't really ever played any instrument, he then found himself leaning against the door of Evan’s room, listing to Evan write a song the Connor thought it was for someone else, until he heard his name somewhere in the song
Evan ended up sneezing and Connor said “bless you” ‘cause he was working on being a better person, but then he realized what he did
He ended up talking with Evan later about how he was playing a ukulele for forever Connor found himself humming the same tune over and over again
Connor and Evan would often go to the orchard over the weekend and just talk about stuff
Once they brought blankets and a tent and camped out under the trees, the moonlight shining down upon them through the trees, and a small breeze came by which made Evan shivered a bit, and lean onto Connor
Then Connor wrapped his arm around Evan and they just snuggled for a bit without realizing it
Evan talked about trees and how he could tell what type of tree just by the texture of the leaf and Connor completely zoned out
They eventually fell asleep together, with their legs intertwined and Evan barring his head into Connor’s chest
Connor woke up first and noticed how it wasn't even that cold and he didn't want to wake up Evan, so he just laid there for a bit until Evan woke up
Evan was a peaceful sleeper, he didn't move much, or say anything in his sleep
When he woke up, he didn't realize at first what just happened. He looked up at Connor, then realizing that Connor was spooning him, then got all flustered and stuttered even more on his words when he tried to say anything “Ev, are you ok?” “y-yea... remember t-the time Jared was j-joking about h-how I -um - had a crush on a M-Murphy?” Connor let out a sigh, “yea? Zoe?” “h-he wasn’t t-talking about Zoe...”
(I'm not good at writing mushy stuff, so just pretend they just kissed or somethin)
Jared
Evan’s mum worked with Jared’s mum at the hospital
he had to go to the hospital a few times, ‘cause he ate a bath bomb and he was getting really sick
his mum banned bath bombs from their house, so he had to go to Connor and buy bath bombs (he sold them like drugs; in a dark alley, for lik 35£)
Lov the crunch
Jared would often wit with Evan in the library at lunch
Now Connor hangs out with Evan more and Jared feels like the third wheel
Alana also hung out with Evan and Jared would constantly annoy her
Alana
She often helps Evan with homework, anxiety and he helps her too
she’s always that gud friend that you can count on
she became the leader of student council and a few other after-school clubs
she and Zoe hang out a lot (i ship it :3)
 Zoe
She has noticed that Connor has been getting better and generally ok
Zoe noticed that Connor carried around a sketchbook almost everywhere and never let anyone see it, soooo she went snooping and saw that he was drawing one specific boy that she had in some of her classes
The boy had honey blonde hair and a cast with Connor’s name on it
She flipped through it to try and find his name, but Connor caught her, and since then he always hides his sketchbook
The first time Connor brought Evan over to hang out, she kinda recognized him but didn’t remember what from. It wasn’t until he left she realized that that was the same boy that Connor drew over and over again in his sketchbook
When Connor got back from driving Evan home, he was smiling, generally. it wasn’t a forced smile, just a light, real smile, which was something she never saw for a long time
“Connor, do you have a crush on that boy?” “Evan? No- I don't have to tell you” “Oh my god, you do have a crush on him!” “What - no - shut up. So what if I do? Who cares”
Since then, Evan would always come over or Connor would go over to Evan’s
I have to stop now cause oH, MY GOD, I DIDN’T REALIZE HOW MUCH I THOUGHT ABOUT DEH AND MY TREE BROS... I should write a fic...
I will update this more when I come up with new ideas
-Sincerely me!

i've got some explaining to do..
OKAY SOOOO i just logged back onto tumblr after WAY TOO FRICKIN LONG and saw a couple anons in my ask telling me i'm a fake fan for a) not agreeing with everything taylor swift says/does b) not being active during taylor's break c) getting reblogged and then leaving so i'd like to address all of these things. first of all, i'd like to apologize because i understand how it might look shady that i just disappear for so long and come back as soon as a new single has dropped, but i'm here to explain myself. i made this account when i was 13 years old, and now i'm almost 16. you do a lot of growing and changing in almost 3 years. in december, i moved from massachusetts to michigan which was an extremely difficult time for me and something i've been trying to adjust to in the past 9 months. additionally, i had completely convinced myself that i was "over my taylor swift phase". call me a fake fan. i know that sounds horrible but i'd rather be honest. it didn't mean i didn't like her anymore, i just convinced myself that i was too old to be posting about her constantly so i pulled back from taylor-based social media accounts. i'm sorry for that, but i'm human and interests can change!!!! i still love who taylor is as a person and i'm grateful for all the things i've been able to do and all the people i've met because of her. i wanted to come back because the new single brought all of those seventh grade fangirl feels right on back. so embrace me, or don't. your choice. i most likely won't be as active as i once was on here, and once again i apologize for not being as extravagant of a fan as i used to be. she's still my idol. BUT ANYWAY IM BACK!!!! xoxoxoxoxo kayla

So i'm gonna talk about ouat
First i'll say that i've watched the show since it started and it really means a lot to me so seeing it go so wrong really makes me mad. I really like the first 5 seasons but I have to say that the sixth one is really below the other ones. It so obvious that the showrunners are running out of ideas and it hurts ne to watch my show slowly dying. Right now I have watched all the episode till the musical and I liked the idea of the final chapter of the book, the final battle.. It would have been the proper way in to end the show in my opinion BUT : 1. WTF was this musical episode ?!? Like it was the most cliché thing that I've ever seen ! I like ouat because it was taking its distance from old princess movie cliché but I had the feeling that I was watching a mix between disney and barbie here ! I couldn't appreciate the wedding of my long time otp cause I was so made at the show for doing this and fucked up the wedding with a freaking musical. 2. Jen is leaving (for reasons that I fully understand. I love her and I'm certainly not mad at her), the show is dying, the s6 final could be a good end for the show so WHY does it go for a seventh season ?! I really don't understand ! If you love this show you should know that it's its time now and it has to end before it becomes really shitty. Soooo that's pretty much what I had to say. I just want you to know that I'm really not here to hate on the show (well it does sound like it). Ouat has been in my life for 6 years now. I started in sixth grade and now I'm graduating and this show is really important to me. So please don't hate me because I'm disappointed and trying to understand why the show lost me. If you want to discuss this post with me I would be really happy to. I'd like to know what you oncers are thinking 😊. Sorry for the long post and for my grammar if it's bad (I'm french so). Love love ❤

SUGAR & SALT |”in the winter things brew”(1) | [teaser]
— a/n: this is my first fanfic ever. The thought has been with me for a while, as usual. But I thought why not write it. I would appreciate any constructive criticism :)
Tumblr media
— synopsis: There are only three things in life that truly matter: God, sugar and politics. They all somehow, at some point in your life , end up interacting.
For the past month, ever since you quit going to Church, the whole town has vilified you for your less than strong religious opinion. You are currently known as the sugar Christian amongst all the hardcore Christians. But you should not be the one feeling left out, they should. For the last three years your town's political council has been trying to get rid of the noticeable influence the Church's teaching has been having on its politics. While you support them on most fronts, such as the religious one, you are petty and ready to write a handwritten complain for their awful handling of food imports.
You are out of your favourite sugar and it won't be able to reach Warringham until a month after your return from the ski resort. You could handle no God (please forgive me God), no politics, but no sugar?! NO!
You need sugar. You need it to survive, you need it to pay rent, the phone bill, the electricity, the groceries.
You're a baker.
A bad one, it seems. Even with Taehyung, Jimin, Seokjin and Ada, the finest products and tools at your disposal, you seem to cook up a disappointing dish. So whose fault is it really?
— pairings: a friend of a friend/ rich boy!kim taehyung x baker!reader (f) + park jimin & kim seokjin
(appearances by other idols, to be announced when appropriate)
— genre: angst (?), romance, smut (later chapters), slow burn
— word count : 661
— warnings/content: enemies to lovers (?), slice of life, unrequited love, discrimination (later on), religion (writing about very lightly, so some may take offence), countryside-ish au,
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▼━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You and your roommate, Ada, just arrived at the ski resort. Scraping sounds resound as you drag your luggages and clump them by your respective beds. It's now officially year seven of "Vacation for those with low earning reports", which meant visiting your local (almost) ski resort in Punniton for the seventh year in a row. The first one happened back in your first year of high school after you wanted to be independent, leading you to meeting your best friend, Ada, and planning what turned out to be the most unplanned trip of your life but you still made it. You managed to go and come back. Yes, you both had lost a bit of your sanity and were broke, but you were safe, and that's what counted.
"Soooo I want to go and check out the slopes but I know how you much you like your afternoon nap, so I'll leave you to it." Ada says riffling through her bag for her skiing pants.
You just hum in response, already liking the firmness of the mattress. Though it has been seven years in a row going to the same resort every winter break, you still adopted your same routine. You change into a cosy fit, and make your way to the lobby to take a look at the restaurant. While you did like skiing, you particularly liked food, so to you, bad food meant a bad vacation.
You make a quick beeline for the pastry section and let your eyes get inspired by the plethora of pastries. One of the other reasons you visited the resort each year was to scout any new pastries that you could debut back at home in the bakery. Punniton's ski resort was known for providing a variety of pastries for its international guests. So yes, while you did go for skiing the first two years, the remaining five where simply to spark your creative juices in the kitchen, but that's something only you needed to know. Looking at the display fuelled your hunger. One piece before your nap wouldn't hurt, right?
"Could I have a-" you say.
" Could I have a-" another voice echos beside you.
You turn to your side. " Oh!" the more than familiar male exclaims.
"Hmmm yeah, it's just me" he says sporting his smug face. On that has had you cheesing ever since you met him for the first time in tenth grade.
His eyes soften and performer Jimin takes the backseat as Jimin asks "How have you been? It's been a hot minute."
You think back to your high school days and remember Park Jimin before he became Park Jimin. He would squeeze dance practice before classes started. His weekends were spend in one room, the kind with mirrors and his eyes where always set, burning with passion to make it.  With your unassuming character you genuinely thought that someone so ambitious would end up corrupted. You couldn't have been more wrong. Jimin had made it, he was standing right in front of you and it felt like the two of you had just left dance practice that you had, back in high school and you were on your way to get a bite.
"Good, thanks! But I am feeling a lot better now" you can't help the smile that is plastered on your face, Jimin always had that effect. "I am still working at the bakery..." you glance at him and you are happy to see that his interest hasn't flattered unlike others "and I'm head chef now and get to choose what the bakery sells!"
"That's nice to hear Y/N" Jimin says taking an apprehensive look at Y/N.

My Life Report
//birth and coming to the us/ I was born in the Philippines because there were complications with mom's immigration status while she was pregnant with me. I stayed in the Philippines until I was 3. When I first arrived to the US, I remember running up to my dad and feeling so elated that I finally got to see him in person after only having seen him in pictures before. Being born in the Philippines is a huge part of my identity and I still have many memories from my time there. //my brother was born/ When I was 7, my brother was born. I was soooo happy to not be an only child anymore. Because my brother and I have a sizable gap, I've always been pretty protective over him and we never really had any sibling rivalry. We are extremely close to this day. I know he's going to be devastated when I leave for college :'-( //throwing a tomahawk/ In fourth grade, my class went on a field trip to Sacramento. While there, we had the chance throw a tomahawk and try to land it on a log. I totally did not want to do it but eventually I caved and I did it. And I was the only one to land it on the log! This experience kinda taught me to not be so scared when it comes to trying new things. //moving out of my childhood house/ Around seventh grade, my family moved out of the house I had lived in ever since I got to the US. I was pretty devastated and extremely resentful towards my parents. Leaving that house felt like leaving behind so many memories, but that's what you do to memories. I learned that life goes on. //getting my dog, axel/ January 2013, I got my dog, Axel! He's a Coton de Tulear. I was so freaking happy when I met him :-) He was the cutest little dog ever and man he grew fast. He and I had an instant connection. And now when I need some cuddles, he's always there for me. //giving my 8th grade valedictorian speech/ The end of 8th grade was a really fun time for me. There were so many 8th grader events, one of them being the dinner dance. At the dinner dance, the valedictorian gives a speech. My class voted me to be the valedictorian. I remember being terrified before giving my speech. But after I gave the speech, everyone told me it was the best they had heard. I was so proud of myself. //meeting my friends/ Freshman year was a pretty good year for me. I met the group of friends that I'm still close with today. I met them all pretty much throughout the first semester. I look back and think about how blessed I was to have made friends so quickly and grow so close to them throughout the four years. I'm going to miss them like no other though :'-(((( //getting my license/ Junior year, I got my drivers license! I took the test two times because the first time I got one more error than they allowed. But after I got my license, I gained a whole new sense of independence/freedom. I was able to go out with friends more often, I could drive myself to school, etc. It was awesome. And so far I'm accident/ticket free! //going to Italy/ Every time someone asked me about how my trip to Italy was, I simple say it was life changing. I had always had dreams of traveling the world, but after going to Italy, I really wanted to see what else could be out there. The culture was rich, the people were lively, the architecture was beautiful! My horizons were truly broadened. //first time coming home really late/ When my friends and I recently went to the drive in, I didn't get home until 2 AM. This was the first time I had driven far and come home that same night. I usually would just stay at someone's house but I didn't this time. I thanked my mom profusely for letting me stay out and she hugged me and said "I wish I were 17 again." I knew in this moment that my mom was slowly learning to let me go, trust me more, and accept the fact that I'm growing up.
