To hands down the BEST anime of the year.

You would know me for my preference of fantasy, supernatural, and adventure anime, but here comes Banana Fish, already taking me in with it's first episode.

Consistent character designs? A plot that unravels with each episode? An OST that really gives you a foreign vibe? A dynamic that really pulls you in and makes you root for them so badly? Fluid action scenes? Every single person in Banana Fish is so true to life. And it tackled so much issues that most animes doesn't go to-- wont show as real as it could get.

I'm just-- GhODS-- Honestly I'm still so shaken up. I admit I DID read the manga somewhere around episode 9 so I knew what would happen in the end, but even then, I still couldn't prepare myself.

To finally grasp the extent of someone's love and care towards you is just a powerful thing that can make or break you.

Banana Fish is an epitome of this.

I’m so glad to have followed this series until the end. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and it’s honestly an anime on its own league. No supernatural elements. No fantasy. No horror. No otherworldly things happening-- Just pure humans trying to fight for their place in the world in ways only humans can- To love or to hate.

I can't tell you how amazing it is because I'm too busy crying myself to sleep yeah.

Haaaaapppyyy Birthdayyyyy precious lil hyper bean~!! Here’s Egiez Zaihla ready to be spoiled on his day~!! I had to share his cake as Zeige’s cake too because he didn’t get a cake on his birthday last March (lol) so I got them a chocolate caramel roll. And my ghod, was the caramel part suuuuuuper sweet--- Like Egiez’ love for you~ (>wO)

Hobbies: Photography, listening to music, browsing Youtube for music, writing stories, browsing for more “inspiration”, long walks, glomping, small crafts

Favorite food: Spaghetti, latte, anything spicy, flan

Least favorite food: Mint, bitter gourd, bell peppers

Other canon infos:

He never sleeps, due to past experiences, so most of the time, he’s either roaming the house or in his room. Problem is, he’s not allowed to go around the house past 12 because Roppi is a light sleeper and Egiez became the victim of a lot of his takedown moves.

He has high tolerance to physical pain.

Out of the three, he has the lowest body temperature. If it’s a problem, nobody knows.

He’s easy to cry, especially on literally the smallest touching moments, even on animal videos, or humanity videos, or just hearing something nice said about him.

He got into making small crafts, like cards or charms, thanks to watching Roppi do them. He has quite the creative sense for it too.

He likes initiating contact, but gets a bit nervous or cautious when he’s on the receiving end. But when he feels there’s no threat, he’s welcome to it!

He likes open and busy spaces, like parks or recreational establishments, because it helps him feel and not be trapped in his thoughts.

He’s impulsive, so there’s not much rooms for thought anyways.

His preferred choice of weapon would be gauntlets, or a shield, because he can either FYT for his bros, or prOTECC them.

His job in AUs would either be a singer or a teacher.

It’s not like he doesn’t like pets or animals. He just likes humans more.
