hmm i've been thinking about this and i think i'm only deadset on spommy, ianthony, kolivia, and amangela as far as like. my canon goes. not sure what if any other ships im gonna include... ive gone back and forth with shaymien and shaynse too but not sure!!

but, i will say, for the most part the edits are mostly left up to interpretation so you can all decide whatever ships you want really!! (or if you don't want any ships at all that's cool too <3) like i've said to me the botbau is a little collaborative barbie world that we can all make whatever we want out of. like i told someone the other day - if you wanna write a fic or make an edit or something for this and it doesn't exactly line up with what i might write or think ab the au... kolivia: kolivia in this au fascinates me because in my head keith is kind of known for being a player and fucking around but i think he stopped that Ages ago because. these two are basically dating. like they don't put a label on it and it's not public and i don't even know if THEY know how in love they are. but they live together. they sleep together "just to blow off steam" (come on now). they don't date other people. everyone can see it but them type beat. olivia's like "he's not my boyfriend" and then picks up the phone and is like "hi baby do you want chinese for dinner" NDLFKNANKSFLN like they are exclusive and they have deep feelings for each other but they are both so deeply in denial that they swear they're not dating. they have realistically been in a relationship for like five years.

amangela: RIVALS TO LOVERS AGAINNNN i have talked about this one a Lot with baflegacy bc like. they are my roman empire. at least these two have met on multiple occasions and actually fought with each other - they keep meeting at gigs/in bars and bickering. angela "clearly abba is the best band ever" giarratana and amanda "WHAT about fleetwood mac you DUMB ASS" lehan-canto. like they meet a bunch and EVERY time they end up bickering. meanwhile angela keeps seeing thirst traps of amanda on tiktok and being like "why are all the lesbians obsessed with her she SUCKS" and chanse and arasha, who have heard this three million times, are like "yeah okay buddy whatever helps you sleep at night." meanwhile amanda is living her bliss <3 and then they realize they're both in battle of the bands and uh oh! things come to a head!

ok so first of all right off the bat i noticed the little fox on the bottom! but also above that is “A labyrinth of lost souls” (now i know this might be reaching but idk!) so i looked up “a labyrinth of lost souls” and immediately got a bunch of links talking about assassins creed! and i quickly read over one of the links and saw that there’s a ring involved?!?!? and i immediately thought of the ring that y/n got from her mother! but i also saw there’s another game called wizardry: labyrinth of lost souls! so that could also be what you’re talking about!!! idk if either of those are relevant but for now this is just a quick rundown of what i can gather right now!

ok next are the the little moons in the top corners with the woman sitting in them! idk what meaning you have behind them rn but what i got from them is the fact that they are not full moons and she’s sitting inside of them while it kids looks like the moon is curving into her in a way? like trying to reach to her? idk again just the vibe i’m getting! Tinny little fun fact so you don’t rack your brain over this one: Labyrinth of Souls was actually my second top option for naming Gilded Constellations, I wanted it to have a very David Bowie-esque vibe which is why Labyrinth (literally from the movie The Labyrinth, was just perfect, but I felt it was too corny (especially when the first iteration was Labyrinth of Hearts) that I went for Gilded Constellations instead.

Gilded being inspired by Golden Years from Bowie, and constellations because our babies are our moon and stars. In Spanish we have a word that’s “Astros” which roughly translates to “all the things in the sky” but there is no cool version of it in English so constellations it was in the end.

The phone rings, and a rare photo of Victor smiling at you lights up the screen. Your day brightens as you answer. Summer is approaching quickly, but Victor promised to spend extra time with you on Fridays.

“Hey, Vic,” you greet, smiling at the flowers he sent you this morning.

“I’m leaving,” he interrupts, out of breath but emotionless.

“What do you mean?” you ask, sitting up.

“I have to leave. And I am never coming back.”

“You’re leaving school?”

“I’m leaving everything.”

“Why?” you whisper, remembering his promise from a few weeks ago. He said he’d be by your side through anything and protect you, hurt people before they could hurt you. And now, he’s doing the very thing he promised to protect you from.

“Angie.”

Your world shatters around you as the call ends. Victor chooses Angie.

You sit up with a choked gasp, your sheets tangled around your legs as you wipe your hand harshly across your cheeks. Victor chose Angie like he always does. The memory of Victor betraying your trust, leaving you, and then hanging up on you still confuses you. Victor was your entire world, and he left, crushing your happiness between his fingers. Life without Victor is different than you expected, and the ghost of him haunts you every week.

The dead flowers on your desk are the only physical reminder of Victor, yet he never leaves your mind. Staring at them, you imagine Victor sleeping peacefully, unaware of the pain you’re experiencing, even years after losing him. You doubt he ever thinks about the damage that he did. Every single detail of the day Victor left you is vivid, but the slow, love-filled moments from before fade more each day. You cling to the memory of him, his voice choosing Angie, and the lack of care he ever had for you.

You kick your sheets off as your heart rate slows, pulling your knees to your chest. Part of you, deep down, wonders what it would be like to wake up beside Victor, leaving this nightmare you call life behind. You know what you’d say. Despite what he did, you still love Victor Vale with a deep, undying love that you hold to like a grudge. As his voice fades, the nightmare returning to its waiting place in your mind, you stand from your bed, passing the flowers on your way to another day filled with distractions.

Since Victor chose Angie, his voice has been ever-present in your mind. It morphs daily; his simple answer of “Angie” becomes “I chose someone better” when you feel like you aren’t enough. Angie Knight was a part of Victor’s life, but he was yours. Or, at least, you thought he was. You had never worried about him finding someone better and leaving you, and it came out of nowhere, changing your life forever.

“What is taking you so long?” your best friend huffs, pushing your door open.

You stare at the flowers, and the pile of dead petals at the bottom of the glass directly mirrors your shattered heart.

“That boy did some damage.”

You shake your head, trying to be tough. “I don’t care. I’m completely fine.”

“Then why keep them?”

“Let’s call it a reminder of my past mistakes,” you answer, brushing past her as you struggle not to scream.

Your act that everything is fine, that you learned from the break-up and got over it quickly, is a failing façade. Under the fake walls you’ve built, you are utterly broken. The tough exterior hides the pain and tears threatening to spill over at any moment, but it doesn't make you feel any better. Victor made leaving you for Angie look easy, with no emotion in his voice as he said goodbye (though, you didn’t even get that, just "Angie"). If Victor made that look easy, you can make moving on look easy, even if it’s impossible.

Walking into the restaurant, you hope your friends celebrate the weekend without asking about your nightmares. You’ve regretted confiding that information to them since the night you called. You just didn’t want to feel alone, but the Victor-sized hole in your heart can’t be filled by gossip and perfume-coated hugs from girls who will never understand what you’re dealing with.

“How are you?” someone whispers.

You pick up your glass, taking a quick drink before raising it slightly.

“To cursed memories,” you say, deflecting from answering.

In your effort to forget him and block the memories out, Victor is the only thing on your mind. He never leaves, and for some forsaken reason, you don’t want him to.

“You should forgive him and forget him!” someone cheers.

“Then move on to the next!” your best friend adds.

Smiling, you wish you were strong enough to do that. Maybe desperation could force it, too, but you need Victor’s memory, or you’ll have nothing to live for.

The first breath you take after getting in your car is cleansing. Your friends try to cheer you up and give decent advice, but it doesn’t help. Nothing short of finding out why Victor chose Angie will cure you.

Looking at your reflection in the rearview mirror, you go return to Lockland.

“I’m leaving. Angie.”

Right now, sitting in your car, you hate Victor, and you’re prepared to argue. It happens often: arguing with a ghost in your head, in your car, and in the mirror before bed.

There are hundreds of things you could have said instead of the tear-strained “Why?” you managed. When you picture winning, you lie about cheating on Victor or tell him you won’t miss him, anything to make him feel an ounce of the pain you did.

Winning in your mind is cathartic, especially when Victor falls to his knees, clutching your hands to his chest as he begs you not to go. Fantasising about when he’s sorry is fun at the moment, but when the nightmare returns and you remember the truth, it’s like you’re back in that moment.

There should have been a sign, a clue of some sort, that Victor was unhappy with you and looking for something new, different, or better. As you try to understand why he would do all this to you, you often wonder what you did to deserve it. Could you have saved everything by being less like yourself and more like Angie? Would calling Victor and telling him you loved him a few minutes earlier have changed anything? Victor had to have been unhappy and insecure, because you know in your heart that hurt people hurt people. Had you realized how hurt he was, you would have done everything in your power to heal him, to make him invincible.

“You hurt him too,” you whisper to yourself in the mirror.

It was never intentional, but Victor Vale was easy to hurt. You weren’t always there for him, didn’t notice when he needed to talk, or, evidently, when things were too much for him. You both drew blood, but those cuts were never equal. The scrapes you left on Victor will never hold a candle to the fatal stab wounds he gave you, and they still hurt.

The flowers really need to be thrown away. Cleaning your room, you keep stopping to look at them. It’s been years, but moving on seems impossible.

“Coming!” you yell, snapped out of your thoughts by a heavy-handed knock.

Opening the door, you freeze. You should slam it, throw the vase, do anything to keep space between you. But you can’t move.

“It’s been a while,” Victor says, his hands in the pockets of his trench coat. “I- I just needed to check on you.”

“You needed to check on me?” you repeat quietly, holding the doorknob with white knuckles as you look anywhere but at Victor’s face.

“A lot has happened, and Eli,” Victor begins, but you don’t want to hear it.

“So now I deserve your pity and care? Last I checked, I didn’t.”

“You- can I come in? For just a minute, and if you want me to leave after sixty seconds, I will.”

You clench your jaw as you step back, counting in your mind as he begins talking.

“Your flowers are dead,” he points out.

“Your flowers,” you correct.

“Mine- those are from ten years ago?”

“Yeah, apparently vitriol makes flowers live longer,” you snap. “You’re wasting your minute.”

Victor’s brows furrow as he says, “I tried to be there for you, but when everything happened-“

“You tried to be there for me? You built me up to watch me fall, Victor.”

“I was trying to protect you.”

“From what? You?”

“Yes!” Victor shouts, his hands raising and falling. “Look, everything fell apart, and I didn’t want to drag you down with me. I know that I should have gone about it better, but I was running out of time and your safety was more important than answers or explanations. That’s what I thought, at least.”

“You betrayed me for my safety. That’s an interesting approach, Victor,” you say, crossing your arms across your chest.

“You don’t believe me, I get it. But we were in Merit - for Eli - and things started looking better, and being this close? I couldn’t pass the chance to check on you.”

“We?”

Victor falters slightly before saying, “Yeah. My, uh, my friends Mitch and Sydney.”

You nod, glad that he has everything but wants more.

“Well, your minute has been up for a while, so you can go.”

Trying to be tough, to be mean, you’re disappointed when the comment doesn’t come out as sharply as you intended. You haven’t looked at Victor yet because your eyes will betray your emotions. They will show that you still love him.

“I know you don’t care, I guess that’s fine,” you add, walking toward the door.

“It takes strength to forgive, but I’m not sure we’re there yet,” Victor says, cutting you off.

“You moved on, Victor,” you reply, missing the flinch at your continued use of his full name. He wants to ask what happened to ‘Vic,’ but you continue, “How is Angie?”

Glancing over your shoulder, you watch Victor’s eyes widen as he asks, “You think I left to be with Angie?”

“What else was I supposed to think?”

“I left because I killed her.”

You fall silent, a wave of memories crashing over you. The EO topic was a joke as far as you were concerned, but it explains the sudden changes in Victor and Eli and their subsequent departures. Looking up at Victor, you remain in place, unmoving and failing to find something to say.

“Why’d you keep the flowers?” he asks, cutting through the tension.

He confessed something, so you decide it’s only fair to do the same. “Even after all this, you’re still everything to me, Vic,” you whisper.

Victor's shoulders fall slightly before he looks over your shoulder to the window behind your table. Hearing a giggle, you turn quickly and see a hand retract into the bushes outside as the dead flowers turn green, blooming again.

Ok, so I've spent the last three days and a whole sleepless night reading the Perfect Marriage Revenge webtoon and there were some changes in the show that I didn't like. This will have spoilers so read at your own risk.

Okay so first of all, the accident was totally different. In the show, Do Guk hits Yijoo's car, and then a truck hits both of the cars, now ik I'm going into logistics, but umm. The truck driver. Man didn't even stop for a SECOND. Like bro you hit two CARS, which prolly had a person or people in it and you just go on driving. In the webtoon, it's actually like a pedestrian accident? Idk how to call it but basically, Yijoo walked out on the road and the traffic lights were red or smn like that and Do Guk hit her with his car and he got hit by another car. Smn like that. This change doesn't really matter to me, only the truck thing irks me a bit.

Another change that I do not like at all was Manager Kim. So basically in the webtoon, it wasn't just Do Guk and Yijoo that died, it was also Manager Kim. All three of them had tattoos on their wrists. Basically, his story was that he used to be in the same orphanage as Yijoo and when she got adopted by her shitty "family", he saw that it was his dad's girlfriend because of whom he died. Also, he draws!!!!! He joined as the secretary of the grandfather and the stepmom found out that he was a spy and had an accident orchestrated, so his was the car that hit Do Guk's which caused them both to die. I hate that in the show, they show him literally KILLING Yijoo. Plus, they didn't even give a reason as to which he helps her in the show. In the comic, he's like I couldn't help you the first time, so imma do it now. Oo oo and and, after a lot of the plot happens, Yijoo tells him to lead his life and put himself first, to start drawing again and all. It was soooo nice. He held an exhibition to show his dad's paintings to everyone and went to France to study art. I was scared that he'll be killed off or there'll be like a stupid love triangle, but thankfully that didn't happen.

Another thing, Sehyeok actually kinda understands that Yura is an obsessed bitch and lets her go which kinda made me happy, BUT THEN, it turned out that he was more of an a-hole than ever because he slept with Yura when she was absolutely shitfaced and literally called him Do Guk. So umm yea. And also, they showed Yura struggling too. She had his kid, and idk one of the last scenes kinda gave me the vibes that she's probably understood the fact that this obsession with Yijoo was just gonna make her end up ruining her and the kid's life. I don't rly care that they changed that in the show, but reading the webcomic kinda made me hope that she was able to get out of her situation and go far away, so that she could restart her life and take care of the kid.

More of Do Guk and his brother's enmity was revealed. It was mostly just the brother kinda hating on Do Guk and trying to make his life hell all his childhood. Also Do Guk had a video game company. There were lots of changes that I didn't rly mind, but ig these were some of the ones that irked me the most.

Also, Do Guk and Yijoo had three kids. THREE. THEY HAD TWINS, AND THEN A DAUGHTER. AND A CAT. MAN. I WANNA SEE THAT VERSION NOW.

His Royal Highness Prince Iorveth of the Free State of the Pontar Valley? Okay, but what about prince-consort Vernon Roche of Nilfgaard? How will they negotiate?

They … wouldn’t?

Like. First of all. Roche is a disgraced, commonborn foreign national plausibly implicated in the murder of King Henselt and, depending on where you set the timeline, also of King Radovid. At the end of Witcher II, he has literally nothing to his name. Crowning him Prince Consort of Nilfgaard not only yields no wealth or alliances, it is political suicide.

If we ignore that it makes no sense for the emperor to marry Roche, which is, to be clear, a fucking lot to ignore, then my answer is that Iorveth has no interest in negotiating with quislings and hypocrites. Roche will condemn Northern elves for fighting under the Vrihedd and Black Sun banners but Roche himself is just rolling over for the emperor these days? Fuck off! (The fact that he can’t tell Roche to fuck off because the Free State can in no way afford to offend Nilfgaard quickly becomes a source of deep, boiling resentment.) He remains icily within the bounds of politeness for diplomatic reasons but Saskia takes care of negotiations and tries to let Iorveth excuse himself as much as possible, the same way she handles Dol Blathanna.

(You can’t even get hatesex out of this scenario. Iorveth isn’t gonna fuck the consort of Emhyr var Emreis or of Geralt’s daughter. The first because cuckolding Emhyr is a suicidally bad idea. The second because it’s weird, and Ciri might mind less than Emhyr would but the optics would be bad for her if they were caught, and Iorveth is indebted enough to Geralt to at least not want to make things awkward for Ciri.)

If this is like, very AU and Roche was, idk, raised as Emhyr’s pet instead of Foltest’s or something, this … still doesn’t work because Roche is then Iorveth’s ally right up until the Peace of Cintra and the execution of the Vrihedd officers. At this point, if Roche doesn’t try to intervene — which I cannot imagine him doing, he would have no power to alter the decision and he’s not the type to break from the pack when given distasteful orders — the relationship is over. Iorveth never forgives that. He does not forgive Francesca and he would not forgive Roche.

Affiliation with Nilfgaard being a dealbreaker for Iorveth could be gotten around by making Roche consort of a different country, but I gotta say I’m not all that interested in royal!Roche in any scenario. princeveth probably kinda makes it look like I just like royal versions of characters but I don’t care about the royalty part of royalty AUs, I care about the power differentials they introduce. I mean everyone is allowed to get whatever they want out of princeveth but for ME the thing is that Iorveth and Roche are perfect equals in canon, right down to having equivalent ranks — or at least they are during the Second Nilfgaardian War and after Foltest’s death; the power dynamic is skewed in Roche’s favor during the time period where Iorveth has lost Nilfgaard’s backing but Roche can still draw fully on Temeria’s resources and military power — and princeveth is about what if they were not equals anymore. Introducing Roche as Iorveth’s social equal, from a country with more military power than the Free State (this is true of almost any country you could make Roche consort of, not just Nilfgaard), is just ... reinstating the canonical power balance but now instead of getting out the knives and fucking nasty against a tree about it they have to perform Social Niceties at each other. A completely different vibe, and one pretty much out of my wheelhouse!

ACCIDENTAL PROFESSOR ENDING !!!! this is the first time i haven't gotten botanist without trying ;jlksdfl;kjd but it makes sense since i did so much tutoring to get close to nomi

also got second engineer to get the manuals for next round!!

did all the delusional options but didn't come across enough to get lobotomized, or i at least should've maybe chosen a diff dialogue option when it was brought up :/ pwease slice my brain up mommy instance ;-;

i romanced cal so i could break up him and tammy. i liked the idea of cal more on earlier playthroughs i think because he reminds me so much of ger, but he's... kind of missing a level of consideration that makes ger such a malewife? at least from what i observed when he was with tammy. he kinda never grew up. i got him on the home menu at least this time.

it is kinda cool to be second engineer because you become chief when instance retires, but idk when she retires so you could very well be working on the same-ish level as flulu (or ger) OR with cal which is kinda cool when ur married to him.

cal is a pushover and tammy is a people pleaser and this shows a lot in the ending i got with him, how he's not as good as pushing people as flulu was and it takes a toll on him. i think that's another part of why i find him and tammy a bit unbearable the more i play j;aklslkdjf they're just... too conventional/nice in a way i don't vibe with, whereas i like rex and nomi's flavor of kindness and support more.

this was also my first ending since my initial playthrough with nem where i got to have kids!!! with nem i had 2 but with cal we had a ton so that's a cool change of pace. thinking about flu and ger being grandparents ;-;

i lowkey wish cal and i broke up here (i know we have communal raising but THAT many kids plus us both being chiefs means that's gonna be stressful) but he fucking DIES in his fifties while defending geoponics during an attack (i didnt make peace w the gardeners lol) so at least i'm free to go fuck other people now.

this was the first time i got nomi in an ending!!! i love their creativity and that they end up sooooorta being a rancher? and getting a pet unisaur? perfect for them. horse nb vertumna style.

god also i got to read their writing project and i love that it's just... a mini version of exocolonist meets animorphs

OH AND I GOT THEM TO GET WITH REX <3 though i hadn't talked to rex a ton so AFTER i got them dating i had a dialogue option with him that's supposed to come before that discusses how they're just friends sj;klf

another sad ending for tang, she was my second and got obsessed with what happened to dys since he did the bomb. the ending talks about her being in a nightmarish waking state due to her augment or something? awful, i hate it. this reminds me i probs couldve done the plague this round.... will do after the next couple.

i stayed in the creche etc during attacks a lot more this time and had an option to save tammy from an attack during the one where kom dies. i kinda wonder if she wouldve died if i didnt bother but i didnt wanna fuck up the achievement for breaking up her and cal. tempted to let her get severely injured though or not save her next time... but i do like having free cakes to give other people, so maybe i'll let her live. gonna keep letting her lose her dad in a brutal attack tho.

i think up next is the transcendence ending, and THEN i can recalibrate the shields and i think that'll result in a situation where flulu is more chill so i'm excited to see that.

the only person left to put on the homescreen is vace though :| i will consider getting close to him and shoving him into therapy after the above, maybe with an ending in mind that also involves getting close to nem again.

i think apart from the vace, friends, and all endings achievements everything else i need to do is card related so i'm gonna be a tad directionless apart from looking for diff endings to beat once i get through vace.

i also do need the 4 pets one though ive heard thats glitchy, but getting closer to vace does bode sorta well with that.

Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic ideas but it’s ripped off from Kdramas and any other drama

]The title. Inspired by a thread on twitter where someone put filipino soap operas with haikyuu characters. It looked really fun. But I’m just gonna do a list of kdramas and plots that sound ‘yeah that might work’.

If you know the plots of these dramas and have like... clashing opinions on what I’m going to type... Don’t worry I do too. So just think of it as the dynamic or the plot instead because I find them interesting.

Here we go!

THERE’S SPOILERS BTW FOR JJK AND THE DRAMAS BECUZ THEY’RE THE ONLY ONES I’VE WATCHED SO LIKE... YEAH!!!

Born Again (A K-Drama from 2020)

I don’t remember the names of the dudes, but the one on the left is Geto while the right dude is Gojo, (the vibes don’t fit, change it as see fit) while Shoko is the female lead.

Why? Well. It makes a compelling story idea. Geto keeps getting constantly pressured by Kenjaku to follow through with his (genocidal) plans and everyone keeps suspecting that Geto actually did those... yellow umbrella murders or glass marble murders if you want to keep the vibes. Gojo and Shoko keep reaching this conclusion which is definitely false/framed shit because of that one darned strange evidence that isn’t like the rest. He was hospitalised with heavy injuries when one of the victims were murdered so there was no way he actually killed them and Shoko can testify with Utahime.

Turns out Kenjaku was in kahoots with... someone to make the actual perpetrator of the Umbrella murders or glass marble murders.

And by the end Geto, Gojo and Shoko all become besties because Kenjaku is now in jail with whoever else he cooperated with.

Flower of Evil (A 2019 K-Drama I think)

This show can either work as a Nanami x Reader/OC or as a SatoSugu fanfic if you thought hard enough. Actually any pairing will work really well.

But for the SatoSugu version you can have two daughters instead with Nanako and Mimiko. When necessary the two children get sent to Shoko and Utahime while the two leads are trying to investigate/cover up.

Again Geto is suspected for murder when he’s actually innocent.

Actually, who kills in Geto’s stead though? Because in the original show, it’s the male lead’s older sister. So Geto can either have an older sister, or it can be another character. I really don’t mind. Or maybe make it either Nanako or Mimiko, who are adopted teenagers of the two. Thus these two get involved easily in the things as well? It’s complicated ngl.

Also the last or second last episode where the main two act like strangers? Yes I need to see this tension between Gojo and Geto.

Her Private Life (A 2018 Kdrama)

I’ve only watched like... 4 episodes I think.

And I think this plot would work with Kamo Noritoshi/ Noshi and Todo. Todo’s a secret fanboy of Takada’s Idol Group, KATKAT. Their fandom name is KITKAT (made it up on the spot) and Todo is one secretly, although only Mai his former roommate actually knows about it. Who ocassionally enters his place once in a while.

All I remember that the male lead was like... the cool swag new art exhibitionist person or whatever, and I think this works with the snobby first impression of Kamo Noritoshi. Perceived genius of the arts. (Because that sounds cooler than being a doctor for now.) Todo works for like an exhibition place? Is really good at his job. Otherwise how the hell would these two meet more often. They work same place but met at the airport as KATKAT had returned from their Promotions in South Korea or something. And then they meet because... fansites which both were avoiding.

Idk the plot. it just sounds like the funniest dynamic out of the last ones.

Let’s do something with more heroines.

Search: WWW (A 2019 Kdrama I watched during Lockdown)

Oh man, this follows Maki, Mai and Nobara being in... search engine companies?? They’re all in their late 30s.

Mai and Maki used to be part of the same company, Zenen/Zero/Nezo/Reno, which is a search engine company that’s competing with another search engine in Japan, Yolk/Koy/Gogo/Jogo, which is becoming increasingly popular. Then suddenly a scandal happens at Maki is used as a scapegoat thus she ends up getting fired from the company and Mai suceeds in becoming CEO or something.

Maki then ends up going to the competing search engine company after getting scouted by the founder and current CEO, Gojo Satoru, and yeah. Idk follow the plot of the show from there. Nobara is also in this. She ends up joining the special force team that Gojo assembles to do really important things. Team is compromised of Maki, Nobara, Inumaki, Panda, and... Megumi or Yuta. Not fully sure.

Stuff happens.

And by the end of it. Maki, Mai and Nobara end up travelling to the coast after freeing Mai from the Zenins grip (because she was used as a political pawn due to her position in the search engine company).

Whether or not there’s romance side plots like the actual kdrama is something I don’t feel meshes well with their characters.

Let’s change it up. I’ve been talking about Kdramas. Let’s see Jdramas. ... *10 minutes later, can’t remember a jdrama I watched* I guess MALAY DRAMAS!!!!

Andainya Takdir (Malay Drama with two seasons)

The biggest problem is that I literally only know that it’s about this really posessive, easily angered... he’s a yandere basically. Gaslight, gatekeeping his wife and possibly his kid. And that his wife and his child get away from it, likely in a divorce or something by the end of season 2.

...

Let’s write a whole original story involving Yaga Masamichi and OCs? I don’t know. I like Yaga Masamichi, but it would be interesting if he used to be rather lovesick/ horrible bastard and that resulted in him having a divorce, changing his ways forever after that experience.

It’s an interesting take on the trivia of him having had a family. What do you think?

i generally support the rerecordings as the statement that they are and I don't expect her or the records to sound the same (i think that's a foolish thing) but the production on this one sounds a little off to me particularly in the most punchy songs like haunted and enchanted (I like that she sounds audibly older though) the only song I'm disappointed by is back to december which somehow lost some of the magic I cannot however even begin to pinpoint why

the story with this album is that I put one song in my anthony/penelope fic playlist (it is what it is) and became so obsessed with it I had to look into more and the album it is off of was actually great! it was very nostalgic sounding to me I sank into it and I was like this could've played in the princess' diaries and I wouldn't know a thing. really liked it. her vocals are very nice to listen to and I have done so repeatedly which is the highest praise an album can get from me. anyway some semblance of a ranking after a half assed listen but you gotta know it's not very trustworthy

Once again reminiscing over Hamlet in yr12 Lit Studies.

We wanted to properly cast roles and act it out as we read it, so our teacher gave us role preference sheets

I put Hamlet as my top preference because it would've been SO gender. And I was unopposed, so I indeed read for Hamlet! And it was very gender 😎

P sure my second preference was Horatio because - and I don't think this is acknowledged enough - Horatio is ALSO very gender. Like,,, he's a nerd he's the sensible foil to his best friend's chaos he's HORATIO.

The classmate who ended up reading for Horatio happened to be a girl who I thought was v cool and aesthetically attractive agahsjdlmdvsl 💀 I refrained from joking to her about hamratio because I didn't wanna make her uncomfortable*

But like we all saw the hamratio when we watched the David Tenant version of the final scene agshdlf

*(this girl was the only one who hadn't considered that Dorian Gray and Basil Howard might be gay - even the churchgoers thought they were gay!! But also this girl had The Song of Achilles on her bookshelf so idk what to make of that. Regardless, I couldn’t figure out a good way to joke with her about it and was never gonna be shooting any shots anyway. I wasn't out as anything in hs and I've never been too fussed about dating. I didn't fully realise that I probably had a crush on her - I'd never had a non-boy crush at this point. ANYWAY,)

My third preference was Polonius because he's funny and ironically verbose. As someone who is verbose, and existentially contradictory, I can relate. I thought it'd be a fun role to play with if I wasn't Hamlet or Horatio.

But, since I did read for Hamlet, I had the hilarious experience of mime-stabbing a classmate through a blanket and dragging him "off-stage"... his legs still moving to assist in the dragging made for great physical comedy

The guy holding the blanket-tapestry doubled as the actor for king hamlet's ghost, with the same blanket as his ghost costume lol

Fortinbras brought the exact 'okay I just walked in on something here' energy that she needed to at the end

I think Rosencrantz and Guildenstern didn't really wanna be there... which honestly fit their characters! V much 'uhh I'm just here to do my job but I'm not paid for THIS' vibes

Our teacher, legend he is, recited 'to be or not to be' from memory - some classmates kept track and noted like, one minor error in his whole recitation. Slightly disappointing that I didn't get to read that part, but it was hella impressive and fun to witness

I can't remember which section it was, but once, near the end of the day, a classmate I really respected complimented how I read one of Hamlet's sections and I will never forget that, I will remember how that moment felt forever and ever

Very glad we didn't have to read out the full scene between Hamlet and Gertrude before Polonius dies (all the psych students in the room, including myself, were cursing Sigmund Freud after discussing that scene). Also glad we didn't read many scenes between Hamlet and Ophelia. I would've felt so bad talking to my classmates like that 💀

For our final lesson of reading Hamlet, we went to the multipurpose room and our teacher brought props

I clashed broomsticks with Laertes (who was much more focused on the swordfighting than I was, I was just trying to read my lines man), Gertrude had her chalice, I took the plastic crown from Claudius' head after he sipped grape juice from our teacher's 'mug life' mug, and Horatio kinda just stood at a distance reading her lines during our final conversation, maybe coming to kneel beside me as I died?

It was brilliant.

yzaaaa 😭 jackson's coming to my country HSJSSKJDKSDJFJDLEJJSJS like this is the first time ever one of my ults is actually going to be in my country </3 ( as far as kpop concerts/gigs go, only kard and vav have performed here if i remember it correctly ). anyway but i'm not going hdjsksks it's not being held in my state, like i could travel but it's lolla event, combined with all other western artists . (and. 💀 i don't wanna spend money on travel and the concert just to see jackson for like half an hour or something 😭 idk how lolla event works but i have no interest in others artists at all </3 ).

Cherry Blossoms After Winter Live Blogging

This one’ll be the last in my string of kBL/kGLs, hope it’s a good one. Don’t know much about it except it’s adapted from a manhwa and one of them (probably MC) is bullied and the other one (love interest) stands up for them? I remember hearing about ep 3 or something having a fight against the bullies and it being hard to watch? But apparently it’s also soft.

Episode 1 (May 22)

Episode 2 (May 22)

idk if it was me, I would’ve much rather Taesung just give the money back but I guess the gift + sharing is cuter

Their interactions/conversations are kinda awkward and stiff but I think it’s supposed to be that way, so I’ll let it slide

Seeing young Taesung yelling “I don’t want him as my brother!” reminded me oh yeah... they’re in kind of a brotherly situation, aren’t they? But Haebom calls Taesung’s mom ajhumma/maam and they don’t think of each other as siblings, so I will not be bothered

I really like that Haebom occasionally tries to stand up to his bullies but is then thwarted because they’re just stronger (+ he was alone in defending himself until Taesung came along). He did manage to leave this time though, despite having taken that punch to the gut, so good for him. I guess the fact that it’s not just him but also Taesung’s book that was harmed really pushed him.

Oh dang, Taesung really zoned in on that bully, huh?

Food as love language is truly arrow to the heart, first episode was the cake and now Taesung giving Haebom the cream bun (which has memories and promises attached to it)

I want a cream bun or eclaire so badly now T.T I’ve been craving a custard bun for a few days. Nobody better bite the other end like Haebom did though um

Episode 3 (May 22/23)

Nooo I was worried about homophobia and it’s there written on the board? T.T

Wooah, the lack of reactions + bully having to erase the board was satisfying

Haebom’s “it’s okay/I’m okay” and Taesung returning “I’m not okay (with it)” is so >.< Trying to remember which other drama did this (18 Again maybe?) but it was >.< there too

Taesung reminds me so much of 18 Again Seo Ji Ho - not necessarily as a character but more like... mannerisms? and maybe the actor’s looks?

Some of the r/boyslove people commented that it’s really anticlimactic how the friends seem to just know that Haebom and Taesung live together and I agree lol like what, these friends were literally questioning why Taesung’s suddenly so close to Haebom but have no reaction to being told they live together?

The second half of this also felt like it was kinda slow/dragging.

Episode 4 (May 23)

What is this transition from them drinking and laughing to Haebom crying about missing his parents

One party crying and/or going through something and the other person kissing them for the first time is seriously one of the most annoying tropes

Episode 5 (May 23)

Taesung’s guy friend is so funny cuz one moment he makes me squint at him at the slightly homophobic reaction to Taesung asking how he’d react if he asked him out and next moment I’m cheering him on as he asks the group how they’d react if he asked them out just to test Haebom’s answer for Taesung’s benefit. funny lad, especially his reaction when Jia’s like “Haebom, if I was you, I’d be asking out all the girls” and tries to set him up

oof i acc hate how taesung’s not taking no for an answer and is tryna force kisses on haebom. everything’s been so soft and cute so far, wtf is this

the mother was like hey, stop it! to seeing taesung kinda strangle haebom but all is well the next morning? no conversation in the middle?

the rest of the episode was pretty good but I don’t know, I’m not like >.< at cute moments

I’m looking forward to their college life, hopefully that’ll pull me in again

Episode 6 (May 23)

This show does awkward too well, I’m sitting here like wow this is too awkward I can’t watch. Whole time Haebom’s also sitting there being like “this is awkward, this is awkward”

It hadn’t seemed like Taesung and his mom hadn’t gotten along thus far so I don’t get his comment

Episode 8 (May 23)

I’m glad Haebom stood his ground and was like I’m happy with Taesung when his mom was like you can’t be together

this episode was just a lot of grand expressions of feelings (with the mom, then with the friends, then with each other) and I’m way more into the simpler words, casual domesticity. I had to kinda fast forward a few times because I can’t handle these big words of love lol. They’re cute but not really for me.

This was cute, had a more coherent story than a lot of the other kBLs, it looked good, there was good characterization. I liked that we got to see 3 episodes of them dating because I like established relationships and domesticity. Not a higher rating because I probably won’t think about this show much and also the last episode (aka lasting impressions) was kinda meh for me since I’m not into so much grand expressions of feelings.

Hey idk if you’re the best person to ask and I’m not trying to start anything, I don’t mean this disrespectfully but why is the new poster artist art problematic?? I’m just not very educated on the subject :)

first of all, i'd recommend looking at this post from thegrinningwheels going over the mistakes people make when drawing peter because this definitely plays into some of them. also, disclaimer that i am white, and if anyone else wants to jump in, feel free. before i start, i'd like to mention this screenshot:

for starter’s, the way peter is drawn feels a bit like a caricature, to the point of drawing on transmisogynistic stereotypes. (stereotypes that are like, ten times more visible in their art of vespa, who is actually trans fem which i’ll get to in a second) the intersection of what it means to be a feminine gnc person and being a poc are many and varied, and there is definitely a lot to say about femininity being seen as wrong and shameful. there's a lot of history in how Asian men's femininity has been portrayed and sexualised, both in fandom & in the world at large, and sometimes white authors just aren’t capable of handling those points with care. as much as i would love to celebrate a gnc character design, i think it's safe to say that this artist's depiction of a hyper-feminine nureyev feels like a mockery rather than honest representation

also, it may not be intentional, but when you have a line-up & you're drawing the lighter characters (or at least nureyev and buddy) much more sultry & sexual than the darker ones.... that tells me something about how you view people of color. especially when the sexual way you draw those lighter characters has nothing to do with their character

a line up like this is supposed to give you an indication of character personality. this is supposed to be how you're going to present them to the world. both buddy and peter use their charisma to their advantage sometimes, but that charisma is based on their personality! though he's absolutely flirted to get what he wants, peter tries to give off the vibes of a suave gentleman. if he’s wearing a tie, it’s not going to be haphazardly put on, because he cares about his appearance. peter can be sexual, but it’s not really the way he presents himself to the world at large, and this version of him goes so far it feels like some kind of parody of ouran host club or something, which makes me feel like it’s mocking him rather than trying to honestly portray his character.

buddy meanwhile has never flirted with anyone but her wife and gets her way with confidence & force. that exaggerated body type would already be a bad look on its own because of the hypersexual way people view women of color, but with added context, it kind of feels like there's the implication that the only way these characters could be as cool & charismatic as they are is if they get their way with sex, which is just... incredibly racist

some of it is just an issue with the art style in general. a lot of cartoonish styles have exaggerated features, but there's a limit to how much you can exaggerate those features without just drawing actual stereotypes. alessandra's design makes me uncomfortable for the exact opposite reason as buddy's: cartoonishly gigantic muscles aren't really a great sight when black women are constantly seen as hypermasculine. i might be a bit too critical on this one? i feel like it was worse when i first looked at it, but there's still the fact that exaggerating an asian character's eyelids is racist. it's like. racism 101. both peter and quanyi have incredibly slitted eyes in the majority of their art & personally the way quanyi specifically is exaggerated makes her seem more…. manic, somehow? the way her eyes are lidded aren’t only racist, but make it seem like she’s constantly giving everyone bedroom eyes which is just. Oof

vespa i wanted to talk about in more detail, because there is literally not one element of this design that doesn’t scream bigotry. It reminds me so much of every terrible caricature of a trans woman i’ve seen in horror. The wild bloodshot eyes, the bloody nose, the dagger, the unkept hair & hairy armpits, the wardrobe malfunction revealing a bare chest for no other reason than shock value alone—because how else are we supposed to know what kind of woman she is? There’s already been so many films & just, media in general linking trans women to mental illness and violence. We absolutely didn’t need a vespa design that looks like she belongs in silence of the lambs. If this was just vespa holding a knife, that’d be fine! She does, canonically, have a knife that she uses. But everything about this vespa is designed to look as offputting as possible. She doesn’t look dangerous because she’s part of our cool crime family, she looks out of control. Which is exactly how vespa worries the world will see her! Taking a character who says, pretty up front that she wants to be seen as more than her violent urges & mental illness and then drawing her in a way that screams “look out! This person is dangerous and mentally ill!” is honestly unforgivable. Add that to the fact that everything about her appearance implies she’s doing womanhood “wrong” (obviously, not shaving should be considered a neutral thing, but when it’s only a trans woman character you show with hair, it’s worth considering why you feel the need to do something like that) including the fact she’s going around with her shirt slipped like that, which looks obviously oversized to fill a chest she doesn’t have. One of the first things i learned about writing trans characters is that you should never reveal a character is trans by taking a moment to emphasize how different their body looks from a cis person, be it through having someone else walk in on them in the shower or this. It’s voyeuristic and serves no purpose but to make someone’s gender seem like a dramatic twist instead of an identity that deserves respect, and if a trans artist can’t even understand that, then there’s no hope of them accurately representing literally anyone else.

according to a friend, this art had been drawn before vespa was confirmed as trans (but reposted after, so clearly they didn’t see an issue either way) but that just means they saw an angry, schizophrenic woman & decided to not just make her a harmful stereotype of a pyschotic person, but add insult to injury by making her trans as well.

This has gone on too long & i can’t type anymore, but i wanted to say the second citadel designs really aren’t any better. Every character they chose to make a poc implies something negative, such as making marc and tal the only knights of color & then placing them as nothing more than comic relief. Maybe i could believe this was part of an effort to show the white characters as part of the oppressive class if it wasn’t for didn’t seem clear that we’re supposed to see the brothers as a pair of bumbling fools. Not to mention every single other bad thing they did

EDIT: i want to emphasize that just because i’ve only talked about the junoverse designs doesn’t mean the citadel designs aren’t also worth an apology. so far, the only thing ellison has said (aside from them calling the initial line up “goofy”) is this tweet, but when they say “i wouldn’t draw those characters like that now,” that apology doesn’t acknowledge the fact that multiple people on twitter have criticized quanyi’s design for some of the reasons mentioned above. it also rings a bit more hollow when they say “i wish i could go back and design things different” because this citadel line-up was posted in late august. if you’re incline to go “well, this was in the past, and they apologized” (and i do see some proof they changed their vespa design) i’d like to remind you that some of their most recent drawings were in fact, last month, and there has been no acknowledgement they understand what was wrong with that. whoever was involved in getting a new artist for the penumbra saw these racist & homophobic designs and agreed that someone who drew that material was someone they wanted to align themselves with.

And remember, this is the second time the penumbra podcast has worked with an artist with blatantly bigoted art (the first being tumblr user disasterscenario) and i remember plenty of people explaining exactly what was wrong with that art as well. Whatever chance you think they have to learn and improve—they had it! And in response, this is what they gave us

Ok, honestly and without romanticising, how do you think would it go if one lf the Sawyer boys fell in love with a victim? Like, would they kidnap them but convince the rest of the family not to kill them? How would the others react, would we get more of " ____'s got a girl/boyfriend"? It's just a question that has been bugging me for quite a while, as most of them don't really encounter any people outside the family, with the exception of victims.

Hello icon thirst anon!!! Ohhhh... this ask has so much potential. I love digging into more realistic interpretations of the Sawyers. Of course, there's always going to be an element of unreality with scenarios where you end up with one of them. But close as possible to the source material, I mean.

But what source material? TCM 1 and 2 are obviously the superior movies (for me) and the best of the Sawyers are in them. No extended family or some shit, I can stomach a twin of Nubbins, especially since he's so fun. But they both have extremely different vibes, and different characterizations of the Sawyers. (Except Nubbins. RIP man).

It also, obviously, depends on the Sawyer.

Um... anyway. Sorry for going on too long. Under the cut.

With Bubba, if we're going TCM 1 wise, I hope you're good at running. The only likely way he's going to meet you is as a victim, and if he meets you on your own at first? He's going to do his job, no matter how attractive you might be to him. Leatherface won't even acknowledge you as more than meat if you're in his sights. Run. And run fast. There's almost no chance Bubba would fall for you with the saw in his hands.

Now, if you were brought back as a VICTIM by another brother, then you have a chance. Bubba has time to see you as a "guest" for a while rather than simply meat. But your time window is limited. Once the others get tired of you, you're meat again. Most likely, Bubba would be attracted to your appearance right away. But that wouldn't be enough to save you, you could easily be another mask. The key is, the thing that would give you the highest chance of survival and a relationship, is to not scream. To not flinch away from his touch when he pets your head. Maybe even say some nice words to him.

Then, there's something that would be gone if you were butchered. That's how you get Bubba invested.

If we're going with the most non romanticized version, you'd still die. Bubba's desires never mattered much anyway to the rest, because he really never expresses it out of subservience. But... if there is something worked out, you'd be his pet of sorts. Drayton would be completely disinterested unless it affects him or the finances. Nubbins might poke at you for a while, then leave you alone once you become a normal thing. What business of it is theirs?

Bubba is the one who tries the most to love you. It might not even be love, at the beginning. More a fascination. But I do believe that he'd care the most. Being with him, I think, would feel the... most gentle? Idk. He wouldn't try to hurt you on purpose if you're in that situation.

Nubbins is hard to nail down, character wise. All of the Sawyers are pretty mysterious, but he's really up there in mysteriousness to the viewer. Franklin thought him an omen, the others thought him a freak, and the audience sees what the audience sees, but no one really knows for sure.

I imagine it would be like a mirage, meeting him. He definitely meets at least a few strangers, with his hitchhiking. You'd either be kind (or foolish enough) to pick him up, or if you were a local, you'd meet him in the endless expanses, terrible and shimmering in the heat. Maybe he'd be quiet at first, stammering out answers with a small smile, like he's trying to remember his lines, but if you excite him in some way, you're in for it.

It would probably just strike him out of the blue that he likes you, and he wouldn't waste any time. He's not really scheming and mischievous, despite his impression. He rolls with whatever he feels. Extremely realistically, you'd get hurt in some way. Possibly really badly. But if you were to be his S/O, it's gonna be a kidnapping. (You might be able to overpower him though. Twig.)

He wouldn't keep you in the house. He might not even think to introduce you to Drayton, because Drayton would be very displeased. But luckily, there's quite a few secret places he's found in his explorations. He might take you there.

It would be very odd. Once the initial terror wears down, you'd realize that Nubbins is a raw and open wound. Repulsive, but honest. He doesn't quite belong anywhere. You think he hoped you'd belong to him, and him to you. The only way out is to be locked in a death grip. I don't think it'd last very long.

The second movie' wacky atmosphere fits Chop Top very well, but we still don't know much about the details of his life. We know the backstory, that he listens to the radio every night, and that he has a love for music and smashing skulls. You could meet him anywhere, as long as you aren't looking for him. He seems to be the kind of guy who was everywhere wherever he was, at least once. If he invites you back to his place after some flirtations traded, don't accept. That would probably mean death for you, not at the hands of a regal and somber grim reaper, but the kind of death that not many wish to think about. He'll come back to the same place to see you again, if he likes you enough. And maybe, he'll even ask you out for real. Chop Top likes the idea of being in a relationship, because all the songs on the radio were written about it. He wants to live them. And you... you're perfect.

If he really cares for you, he'd keep you a secret from his family. There's two lives he leads, the one formed by radio and wild living, and the other formed by the tight, insular environment of his childhood. Chop Top might whisper about you to corpse Nubbins, giggling as he recounts how good-looking you are, and ain't he lucky? But that's it, unless you're foolish. If you get to curious well... he'll invite you to dinner. It's sink or swim then. Good luck.

Drayton is the least likely to find someone he cares enough about not to kill. He's thinking of self-preservation above all, and an S/O complicates too many things. But you'd have to be a local, he doesn't trust strangers. He's loathe to introduce you to his family though. As important as they are in how much they define his very life, they would throw off too many red flags.

He might try to deny his attraction to you at first, as a consequence. But if you won him over, he'd hide the Sawyer's "special diet" as well as he could. Drayton is used to painting over everything, throwing a rug over the mess. When you go to the house? Bone furniture has to be stashed away, hide the meat hooks, hide the horrors, hide away the brothers.

The twins would probably find out somehow, and mercilessly tease him. He feels shameful, somehow, when they do, and that makes him angry. He feels, deep down, that he's betraying the way of life. Don't expect much.
