Forbidden Power AU. This AU focuses on Michael, it's the end of all Creation, all thanks to Lucifer's Spawn. Michael's final attempt to fix everything is to Disturb their father Only To Discover that his father is dead and has been dead for what looks like years there is still hope his father may be dead but his Authority can still be used... All angels authorities are held in Halos and God is no exception... Michael has a halo So he can go back and fix everything... The issue is the darkness in his heart, his Desire for the First man... Originally he was going to leave Almost everything unchanged...but this is an Opportunity he never did get or never should have had...can he stay on the noble path...ya No Michael has bin the good boy all his Existence and he will continue to be the good boy But he will be so when it comes to Adam and make Adam Exactly how he wants him to be
Hopefully this ask is for me and not mistaken for another blog shsiwbdjiwe do not get me wrong I love the guitarhero ship but I haven't posted anything about them aside from the drawing I made for @/ironbatpaperturtle (and my adamsapple fic) so I have a feeling that maybe this ask wasn't for me 😭
I should tho... like write more of them cause ngl I really like them together but my whole view on those two is far different than @/ironbatpaperturtle's Michael and Adam ahdjendiw
BUT if this anon is for me then I appreciate you for sharing me your au whdjwkdjdwoek 💖 now, with all that said let me proceed on actually answering you.
Omygod. Okay first, I think the God being dead for the longest period is such an interesting concept I read something similar like this before in a fic (adamsapple) called 'the devil you know /by anglotron' so I like it, kinda explains why angels would be put in so much work (do drastic choices) if God isn't there to guide them and solve things for them or just get involved but I also love the concept of him not giving a f*ck shjsiahdwiwbs after Lucifer's fall/betrayal he was just left hopeless for anything; his most "perfect creation" (Adam) corrupted by evil and then his most "perfect angel" turned out to have been the one to bring said corruption. (he may still care for Michael and Jesus tho but like it's hard for him to care about the rest) and letting all his children figure it out themselves (poor Sera), like, I can picture him just as depressed like Lucifer in the show issisofksos but unlike him who copes with making ducks, God just lays in the couch mopping about how disappointed in humanity he is and how "perfect" everything was before he planted the damn apple on earth, while he bosses Michael and maybe Metatron too (tho with him he's a lot more harsher bc he was previously human and he's kinda just bitter about them in general, but he's proven his worth enough) around to bring him shit like ice cream or junk food (tho he could easily just summoned all those things he subconsciously just wants company and Michael is there to bring it to him the only angel that has not yet disappointed/maintain loyal to him). So yeah.
Anyways — I still like the concept of God actually being dead. Like when you say Michael has a halo do you meant like he holds on to God's halo? Cause that's kinda cool af, imagine him just holding on to the halo of God (maybe even pitifully hopeful their father would return 'saving it for him') so he just has the halo on him and everyone just "oh shit this motherfucker really could just end it all if he wanted to" but Michael just doesn't cause 'with great power holds big responsibility' type of mentality and I think it'd be funny if Lucifer confronts heaven and is in a determined search for Michael to provoke him and remind him he's still the most perfect of all God's creation (mosty just salty as hell bc Michael cast him to hell lmao) and then when he finds Michael he like comes up with a taunting comment about how bad heaven turned out to be Yada Yada that neither realm is perfect or better than the other, and BAM suddenly his eyes drifted to Michael's head and recognizes the halo.
"Is that—...!"
"Yeah," Michael simply states defeated in his chair, unfazed by his brother arrival, from all the chaos going on, his people being murder, just, done, "father's gone, Lucifer."
So they just stare at eochother in silence, Lucifer with a stunned almost hurt expression and Michael with a nonchalant one. After the realization hitting him like a truck Lucifer realizes there was no end to the chaos released to all realms after Charlie unintentionally brought it to them if God wasn't there to fix it all...
Fear overwhelming him now cause he was kinda chilled out about the whole thing knowingly God would have to intervene soon because heaven was also being attacked by evil- but now realizing he's dead, it like hits him hard, mostly worried for his daughter's fate more than anything else.
Then, another thing hits him, "wait! What aren't you doing anything?! You can fix this, Michael! You have father's power, we can-"
Michael lifts his hand to signal him to stop, "I'm not planning to do anything."
"WHAT?!! Do you realize your people are also being attacked!"
"Your daughter brought this among ourselves, now, she must find her way to solve it."
"But she won't be-"
"Silence. If she was able to bring it to us then she's more than capable of putting it back. If not, that's no longer my problem"
"YOU-!"
"No, Lucifer," he stands up, the power of God emitting through his aura, the millions of eyes on him, big six graceful wings extended to show their full on glory, eyes bright like the intensity of a star. His voice was much more deeper and cold, distant, detached, "I lost everything because of your silly dream of free will, and now redemption. Look at where it lead us, prove me wrong this time, if it doesn't succeed then it was meant to be that way. Accept your fate.
I would create something new, something different. Something that won't betray its kind. No longer you existing. It will be perfect."
Lucifer felt so tiny now. That was no longer the brother he once knew. Not the caring, gentle, protective fiercely warrior that he once was.
Only filled with rage, grief and pain.
Michael... is dead too.
But anyways with all that, somehow lets say both Charlie and Lucifer mange to remind Michael of his love for the countless souls left at his hands to care and protect. And I dunno maybe a song too ahdhdiqgsjahsia and what gets the cake is Michael seeing Adam alive, behind the two, who somewhat stumble across their intervention in a 'bad timing'.
"Hey bitch you forgot your tampon— oh shit! Wrong room," Adam (now sinner) appears at the door oblivious of the whole deal.
"Adam!" Charlie shouted annoyed as they were already, almost, having a heartfelt moment between her father and Michael.
Michael eyes watered, "ADAM!" He pushes past Charlie and Lucifer who are now just confused as fuck seeing how Michael (filled with new growing hope) crushes Adam in a big hug with all the intensity of his power and somehow it was till so gentle and careful that it didn't kill Adam.
And the first man just there struggling to get loose while also suffocating.
Idk I just like Michael still having to be the hero even in circumstances where he doesn't want to. So the universe just grants him a purpose for he to keep following up God's title for him. If he wasn't gonna do shit because he lost Adam? Then BAM! Sinner Adam is now a thing so keep your ass moving Michael!
Michael now wants to fix things up to keep Adam safe; his new purpose (reason) on protecting heaven, his people and the countless souls God left him in charge with.

One week.
That is how long it took him to gather the bravery to go and talk to you again.
Truth be told, he wasn't even going to your place to apologize, or even to really talk to you. He was going back in search of your services. And he knew you would be mad at him, but to be honest, all he wanted at that very moment was to be a Mandalorian again.
"What troubles your thoughts this time, Din Djarin?", the voice of the Armorer resounded in the cave, her head not turned to look at the man, but focused on the hot beskar on her hands.
"I have removed my helmet. Voluntarily", he said bluntly. Only then did the Armorer turn to look at him.
"Again?", she sounded mad. But she just turned back to the piece of beskar, putting it into a bucket of water. "Then you already know, that makes you a Mandalorian no more".
"Yes", Din bent his head down. "I will beg for your forgiveness once more".
"Then, according to the Creed, you may only be redeemed in the Living Waters beneath the mines", she turned to look at him again. Din took a deep breath before nodding at her.
"This is the way", he said before practically running out of the cave and to the Razor Crest.
"This is the way", said the Armorer, more to herself than to the now gone Mandalorian-no-more.
Two days after that, he was back in Nevarro, with Grogu by his side as he stood at your door. He didn't know how to ask you a favor after the last time you saw each other. He did know he didn't have the right to do it after that, but he still hoped you would take care of his kid one last time. After almost dying in the mines and having taken Grogu with him, he didn't trust himself to take the child on a mission like that again.
So he pushed his pride aside and knocked at your door.
It took you every ounce of strength in your body to dry your tears and get up from your couch. You shouted at the door to make whoever was at the other side know that you were coming. And when you finally opened, it only made you want to go back inside and curl up in your couch to keep crying until you had no more tears left in you.
"What do you want?", you said with stern tone, nose crinkled and a deep frown on your eyebrows, all mixed in the most disgusted expression you could give him.
"I need you to take care of him", he looked down at Grogu. You swallowed, suddenly self-conscious of the way you had talked to his father.
"Didn't I say I didn't want to take care of him anymore?", you got on one knee, despite your words, and stroked the little one's head with a soft smile.
"You sure look like you don't", he said sarcastically. You looked up at him with your disgusted expression. "It doesn't matter. I'm going somewhere dangerous and I need him out of it".
"There's no one else?", you got up to look him straight in the eye —or as much in the eye as his helmet let you look into. "For real? Am I the only damned babysitter in all of Nevarro?".
"The only one I trust that is not busy", his hands went to his hips. "Look, I put my pride aside to come ask you this, can you do the same? This is not about me, it's about him and his safety", he pointed to Grogu again. "I don't want him to die in the place I'm going to", he took a deep breath. "So, please".
You looked back down at the kid, who was now lifting and moving his hands in hopes you would take him in your arms. Then you looked back at Din —you guessed he would have a pleading expression right now, though you couldn't see.
"How long will you be gone?".
"Two days, tops... If I make it", he muttered the last part.
You took Grogu in your arms, just like he was seeming to ask, and gave Din a stern look.
"Two days", you looked at the child to make sure he was comfortable in your arms. "Don't wanna have him making more messes than necessary".
"No, sure", he almost chuckled, relieved that you had accepted to take care of his kid. "Thanks", he cleared his throat. "I'll be here to get him as soon as I'm done".
"You. Better. If not, I'll go to whoever in town and leave him with them".
That made Din's heart jump scared. But he knew you wouldn't do that. Not to a kid. Not to Grogu. Or at least he hoped you wouldn't.
"Alright", he nodded and stepped away from your door, leaving you with his adoptive son. "Good luck", he turned around and walked to his ship. You got inside your house and closed the door.
It took you less than one hour to start feeling uneasy. You had heard him well: he was going somewhere dangerous, and would take two days tops if he made it. That couldn't mean anything good. And the worst part was that you were worried.
You sat beside Grogu on your couch. Somehow, you had managed to keep him distracted with a bowl that he had somehow not shattered into pieces yet. You caught the small ceramic mid-air and looked straight into the child's eyes.
"Here we go again", you whispered to yourself, crossing your legs, facing him. "Hey, little fella", you gave him the most sincere smile you could pull off. "Do you happen to, you know, by any casual... know where your dad went?".
Immediately after asking him, you regretted your words. You knew it was pointless. He didn't understand you and you couldn't get to him with words —the night you had spent with him a week before had proved that. But you couldn't give up. Not knowing that Din was risking himself so stupidly —you didn't even know what he was going to do, wherever he was going, but you knew it would probably be some dumb Mandalorian thing.
You tried your best to try and ask Grogu about his father's whereabouts in a nice way. And it took you some time, but you finally managed to make him understand what you were trying to say.
"Your...", you pointed at the kid. "Dad...", you drew a round, helmet-like shape around your head with your hands. "Where?", you pointed out all around yourself, then shrugged. Grogu looked at you and smiled with a squeal. Then he grabbed the insides of his robe and pushed them aside to open it, leaving a metallic piece be seen under it. You immediately recognized the animal engraved on it.
What the hell did you get yourself into, Din?
"You are one amazing kid, little guy", you grabbed Grogu in your hands and took him with you as you grabbed a small bag and ran to town.
Tumblr media
It took you a while to figure out how to make Grogu fit on your ship, since it was thought to fit one passenger only —and it was a bit of a mess, to be honest. It made you ask yourself how you were going to make Din fit in there once you got him back. More so, it made you hope that his own ship hadn't gotten damaged. Then maybe you could get on yours and let him and his child go on their own way, and continue to be mad at Din after he was over that stupidity of his.
When you finally got the two of you to fit alright in your ship, you headed to Mandalore.
The entire way you spent it talking to yourself, sometimes looking at Grogu to see if he was listening or minding his own business —also making sure he wasn't making anything float or turning the ship more into a mess than it already was. Most of your talk was just cursing Din and asking yourself why the hell were you doing that, after how he ha treated you.
"Maybe I want an excuse to keep being mad at him. You know, I wouldn't want him to die right when I'm having a thousand thoughts of how he was an idiot to me. Damn, I don't wanna feel bad if he dies when I'm still mad at him! I don't want that thought tormenting me everyday, let's be honest", you looked back at Grogu. "Am I right?", you gave him a forced smile. He just stared at you with his usual expression. You let out a heavy sigh and went back to piloting. "Or maybe I'm just being paranoid. That womp rat couldn't stay in one place, no, he has to go and do something stupid. And of course, it's Lost who has to go save him", another sigh. "Why do I even bother?", you whispered to yourself. "He'll probably give me another one of his Mandalorian crappy faces and walk away without even saying thank you".
You kept going back and forth about it for the entire way. Until you got tired of hearing your own voice and proceeded to just think, also trying to not force Grogu to throw something at your head to make you shut up.
After some hours, you made it to Mandalore. At first sight, it looked like a messed up planet, grey, sad. Then you saw some ships going in and out, and it made you think it wasn't that bad. But then you also remembered how Din had said he was going somewhere dangerous and your thoughts were taking aback.
Focus, Lost, you shook your head.
You tried to keep a low profile as you approached the planet, avoiding areas where you saw many people. You flew low as well to try to stay out of any possible radars. The last thing you needed was to come across some Mandalorians and have them shoot you and keep you from going after Din. All those hours in light speed would not be for nothing.
You noticed your own communications system starting to fail. At first, you tried hitting the computers in hopes it was just static or interference given the stormy atmosphere you had just flown through, but you gave up when they didn't show any signs of having been fixed.
A squeal from the back of the ship made you turn your head in a sudden movement. You saw Grogu's eyes half closed and one of his hands extended out, as if wanting to touch something.
Here we are, you thought.
You drove the ship to the nearest secure area you could find, leaving it behind some huge spiky, glass-like stones. You looked around to make sure no one would see you or the ship in that position. Then you saw what you guessed was Din's ship not too far away from your spot. A heavy sigh left your mouth.
You looked back at Grogu, who was now looking at you with curiosity. He let out a squeal and shook his head. You sighed again.
"I know, little one", you looked around once more. "Doesn't look great, does it?", you said more to yourself than to him. "But you know this place, right? You've been here before?".
Grogu nodded, his face now showing worry. You took him in your arms and wrapped a blanket around both yours and his body to secure him against your torso. After making sure he wouldn't fall, you got out of the ship.
The child showed you to the entrance to a cave. You looked back at your ship and Din's one last time before walking inside.
You were left speechless at the sight of a city below you. Grogu didn't take long to put you out of your astonishment and point down to a dark abyss. You felt the energy immediately leave your body as you saw there was no way you could go down without bruising your hands. So, you went back to the ship, grabbed some knives and a rope and went back into the cave, not entirely ready to go all that way down.
You were tempted to lay down —despite the water beneath your feet— to take a break and tend to the cuts in your hands, but the strength Grogu was gripping your shirt with made your heart thump in fear.
You had taken him with you to a place that couldn't be good, and you were going to make sure he was making it home safe.
You kept walking in the direction the kid pointed to. The unsteadiness went back to your body when you looked down and saw pieces of droids and fallen ships on the ground. You grasped your knifes and unsecured your blaster.
Soon enough, you heard metallic noises and groans in the distance. You squeezed Grogu against your chest and started running towards the fuss.
A shot came out of your blaster as soon as you saw Din fighting a group of beings you had never seen before. Each of them four, green-eyed things were looking straight at you, and there were more than you were able to count when all of them came running in your direction.  Another shot prevented a couple of them to strike you down as you tried to fight against what were left of them with your hand that wasn't grabbing Grogu.
"Are you out of your mind?", Din shouted, shooting his blaster towards another four-eyed thing. "Why did you bring him?".
"Could you shut up for a moment?", you yelled back as your knife pierced through the throat of one of them beings about to streak a hit to Din's head. "I'm trying not to get him killed!".
"You couldn't have thought about that before bringing him here?".
The conversation was interrupted by a loud clang, followed by a robot-like huge spider. You had no time to react as one of the smaller beings came at you before the bigger one's leg pierced through it and pinned it to the floor. Almost immediately, you grabbed Din's arm and ran away, your other hand keeping Grogu safe in his blanket.
"Hold on tight".
With no warning, Din grabbed you by the waist and pulled you flush against his body, then his jetpack shot the three of you up and back to the entrance to the cave. Then, you did lay down to take a break. Din sat next to you, not before taking Greg from the blanket you had put him in. He took a second to check on his kid, who smiled and squealed at him. Then, he spoke again.
"You shouldn't have come".
His words made you huff with sarcasm.
"And let you die down there? Because that's what it looks like you were doing, honestly", you sat upright. "And he was the only one who knew where you had gone, so...", you gave him an ironic smile. "You're welcome, and all".
"Thanks to you, I didn't get to where I was going".
You turned to see him with a deep frown.
"Does it even matter? You really wanna go back down there?", you let out an exasperated sigh. "You almost got killed, Din", you got up. "Does your Mandalorian dignity mean more to you than your son?".
He didn't say a word. He knew you were right. But he wouldn't leave the mines having almost lost his life without what he had gone there to get.
"Thank you for helping me, I'll take care from here", he turned around, ready to go back down.
"Wait, you're seriously doing it? Didn't you hear a word of what I just said?", you stepped in front of him. "I just came here to help you not get killed. I came with your child, who almost gets killed! And I told you your Mandalorian bullshit can't be more important than him, and you're still going back? With him?".
"This is my business", he replied with a stern voice. "I appreciate you came to help me, but I'm here for a reason and I'm not leaving—".
"Yes, you are", you crossed your arms. Your heart was pounding, and your patience was running out. "I'm not letting you go back down there. Or at least not without knowing what are you so determined to get you and your child killed for".
Din let out a heavy sigh, almost as if meaning to say how come you couldn't understand something as simple as the situation he was going through.
"I removed my helmet", was the only thing that came out of his mouth. "A Mandalorian never removes their helmet".
"Seriously?", you turned around for a second, laughing in disbelief. "As if kicking me out of your house after a whole day together wasn't enough, you're disappointed in yourself for failing to be Mandalorian enough!", you turned back to look at him. This time, though, instead of a smile you had an exasperated frown on your face. "And it was worth your own life?".
"I've been a Mandalorian my entire life. It's the only thing that keeps me going".
"What?", your frown deepened. "Are you talking seriously?", another huff let your lips. "I can't believe you came all the way to this planet, all the way down that death path, willing to leave your own son by himself with the excuse of being a good Mandalorian again because it's the only thing you have", you said the last part trying to mimic Din's voice. "There is absolutely no way you're so damn narcissistic and stupid to let yourself be blinded by what, the fact that someone else saw your face? And you forget about him completely?", you sighed. "You know what, I'm done trying to understand you", you walked towards him and leaned down to scratch Grogu's head. "Sorry I dragged you here, little fella", you smiled at him. "Hope I'll see you again sometime. Good luck out there".
And like that, you walked away from them and back to your ship. You did hope to see Grogu again sometime, though not his father.
You really hoped you would never have to deal with his Mandalorian bullshit ever again.
Tumblr media
"No! Don't touch that!".
You ran towards one of three little twi'lek babies in your hut, who was about to put a knife inside his belly button. Right before he did, you reached the knife and slapped it away, taking the kid in your arms along with the one you already had.
A knock at your door made your heart skip a bit at the suddenness of it. You turned around, only to see the third baby somehow opening the door, her tiny hands holding onto the knob. You ran towards her and took her in your arms as well. You didn't get to turn back around before you saw the man standing at the other side of the door.
"Ugh, not you!", you shouted at Din. One of the small twi'leks got away from your grasp and crawled back to where he was before, probably to search for the knife again. "Do you want something?", you tried to make yourself be heard over the noise of the little baby girl crying in your arms.
"Err, I can wait", he said, then leaned against the doorframe. "Uhh, should I help?", he asked at the sight of you running to one of the children, the girl escaping from your arms as well.
"Is that a serious question?", you ran towards her. Din sighed and closed the door before joining you.
He helped you deal with the kids way better than you were doing on your own. You could see all the time of practice he'd had with Grogu be put to good use. It was almost as if he was effortlessly making them laugh and calming them down whenever you had too much of a problem. Every time he did, you looked at him with a mix of anger and admiration. Not even a cicle had gone by and it had been enough to make you forget how much you despised him.
Almost by nighttime, the three twi'lek babies were asleep and taken away by their parents. You and Din were left alone, exhausted, sitting on your couch. You didn't even have the energy to tell him to screw off until you had closed your eyes for a couple minutes. Then, you spoke to him.
"Where's Grogu?", you opened your eyes and tried not to look at him.
"I left it with a friend of mine, in another planet".
You immediately turned your head to look at him.
"What?!", you almost screamed. Din chuckled at your reaction.
"Don't be mad, we've been traveling for a long time and it was on my way here, so...", he shrugged. "I had to come talk to you alone".
You sat up straight, your arms crossed in your chest. You scanned him upside down for a moment before leaning on the backrest.
"Alright. Talk", you tried to keep a straight face. Din cleared his throat.
"I didn't go to the Living Waters", was the only thing he said.
"Uh, sorry, the what?".
"It's where... Well, the place I was going when I went to Mandalore", he swallowed. "It's where us Mandalorians go for redemption when we take our helmets off. Voluntarily", he sighed, then took a deep breath. "I didn't go, after you left".
Your mouth opened in a reflex action, but you stopped to think for a moment and process his words.
"You didn't?", was the only thing you managed to say.
"I didn't", he huffed, almost with a smile. "I was tempted but I didn't go".
"Why?".
"Well... You were right", he cleared his throat. "I thought about what you said, and I realized that you were right. I was... actually embarrassed that I was willing to leave Grogu alone just to earn back the right to call myself a Mandalorian", he let out a heavy sigh. You could almost feel how uncomfortable he felt telling you about his feelings, his mistakes. "And it is pretty stupid, because I wasn't doing it for that to be able to produce call myself a Mandalorian. I was doing it more to... free myself. From my feelings".
And just like that, it was as if the Din you had met the first time he had gone to leave Grogu with you. His humor, his kindness, was back all of a sudden. Realization made you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.
"You were also right about that, I guess", he continued. "I let myself be blinded by how I felt about someone else seeing my face. Well... About you seeing my face", he looked away. "It's kind of difficult to say this—".
"Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there before you say something you might regret", you got up.
"No, I'm here right because of that", he grabbed your hands. "Please. I will no regret it".
You looked at him for a second. Though you couldn't see his face, you could picture his puppy brown eyes staring into your soul pleadingly. An involuntary sigh left your mouth and you sat back with him, your expression showing your slight dissatisfaction. Still, he kept going.
"The night we...", he cleared his throat, not wanting to say it out loud. "I didn't feel good with myself. I mean, Mandalorians are supposed to never show their faces, and I showed you mine the night after the day we met. And I blamed it on the alcohol, but then you left and I had more time to think", another distorted sigh came from his direction. "At first I didn't want to admit it, I just wanted to act as if it hadn't happened. Then I remembered I had to go back to Mandalore to atone, but I didn't want to do it. I felt as if it was something I just had to do, not something I wanted to do", he let out an exasperated chuckle. "Then you came looking for me with Grogu. And I saw things clearly", he grabbed your hands again. "I don't want my feelings to be a weakness. Hells, they're not! I mean, they do make me weak for you, but—".
"Shut up, will you?", you stared into his eyes —well, his visor. "I just have one question for you".
He stayed still for a moment. As he saw you didn't elaborate, he nodded, as if giving you permission to proceed with the question.
"Is there any rule or whatsoever in the Mandalorian sacred books that establishes that having feelings for a fellow makes you weak?", you tried to hold back your smile. Din couldn't hold back his laugh.
"No, there's not. That was my paranoid reaction to feeling something for my fellow over here", the way he put it in words made you laugh as well.
"You're so stupid", you chuckled.
"You know, going to Mandalore with Grogu and putting you both in danger like that was something stupid".
"Oh, you wanna fight about who's been more stupid?", you crossed your arms. "I suggest you don't challenge me, I've got a long list".
"Fine, I'll stop".
You kept laughing for a while longer. Then, you both sat upright on the couch, looking at particularly nothing in front of you. You stayed in silence. It was not an uncomfortable silence, so you let it go on for a couple minutes, until you finally thought of something to say.
"So", you turned to look at him. "What are you gonna do with that thing of being a Mandalorian again? I mean, I don't exactly know how that goes, but...".
"I guess I'll have to figure something out to trick the Armorer", he chuckled. You didn't know what he was talking about, but you giggled back anyways. "Let's see how long this lasts", he took your hand. The sudden approach made both you and him blush, and you wished you had a helmet on like him to hide the way the heat was taking over your face.
"This is a thing?", you said as calmly as possible, your eyes fixed on your entangled hands.
"I mean, if you want it to be...", Din's voice was almost as hesitant as yours.
You moved your hand away from his. Then you grabbed his helmet. His first reaction was to reach up and stop you, but he stopped himself instead. You took it as a sign to keep going, and you removed his helmet.
Just like you had imagined, he was looking at you with his brown puppy eyes, his expression still a bit hesitant. His stubble and moustache were a bit longer than the last time you had seen them, but not enough as to cover his upper lip completely. His hair was also longer, and disheveled, making a fluffy helmet of its own. It made you smile.
You reached up to touch his face, like the first time you had seen him with no helmet on. As soon as your skin graced his, he closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh. Your smile grew wider. Then, you approached. He blushed, now unable to hide it behind an armor, and closed his eyes, his lips half-opened. Though, you stopped right before you got to kiss him.
"You are one stupid womp rat", you whispered. His eyes suddenly were wide open and staring right into yours. The blush on his face got darker.
"I thought we had stopped talking about that", the way his expression barely changed while speaking made you laugh. You slid your other hand to cup his face, then left a quick peck on his lips.
"We had", you gave him a sly smirk. "But I'm still mad at you".
Din let out a breathless chuckle.
"What can I do to make it up to you?", he stroked your shoulder all the way up your arm to your wrist, then entwined his fingers with yours. You both let out a sigh.
"Well, first of all, you're gonna have to help me with kids around here if you wanna be able to step into my home ever again", you grabbed his jaw. "As for that other thing... I can think of a couple ways you can make it up to me", another smirk appeared on your lips as you looked down at his.
Without wasting any more time, you pulled him closer and gave him the most passionate kiss you could pull off, and that you had ever given to anyone. Din answered with just as much desperation —not a heated desperation, but needing to show you his feelings, how much he regretted having pushed you away the way he had, how much he was willing to give so that you would forgive him, how much he wanted his feelings to not be a weakness. Having thought of that was something stupid of him, indeed.
But not as stupid as you made him feel that night, making such loud noises as you touched him in all the right places in just the right time.

Okay I saw this idea on the discord while I was just lurking and I wanted to go off of it more lol credit to the people on discord who talked about it
So Koby comes back from the 2 year time skip and absolutely no one recognizes him, apart from Luffy cause he's Luffy and he'd just look at Koby and say he likes his long hair or something along those lines.
But also Chopper ends up finding him while with the fake staw-hats (side note, I'm very curious on how fake Koby will look lmao considering his poster) and recognizes him (maybe by smell, maybe by Koby recognizing him first) but that happens and then later when they reunite first thing everyone else processes is how he REALLY looks different so they're like 'Chopper why did you lead a fake Koby to us??' which causes both Chopper and Koby to get confused.
So then Koby is like 'Really?? I mean I know I look different but really??'
Que like a time period where none of the other staw-hats believe that that is Koby. At all.
Anyway sorry went on a ramble but it was a funny little thing I had going on in my head lol. I hope you have a good day/night :)!
Found this in my inbox while searching for the April Fool’s boops on mobile and I never did find it but I’d argue this ask is better.
Chopper with both face blindness AND reverse face blindness is actually so funny lmao. Homeboy can’t see human faces for shit (they all look the same!) but he KNOWS how people smell.
This would also mean that Bon Clay’s devil fruit can impersonate scent, which makes sense if it’s copying biology! So that’s fun.
Anyway thanks for the ask! I hope you also have a good day/night!!

Y'all okay,
I started playing 'What in Hell is Bad', it's basically an 18+ version of 'Obey Me' and yea this game is spicy.
Anyway, big surprise, out of all the sexy demons I've interacted with so far, two of them I've done the sideways tango with, my favorite character is this guy
Tumblr media
Who's not even a demon. He's the childhood best friend character.
But plot wise he takes care of the MC before the whole demon thing, knows how to cook, and I'm pretty sure was ready to search through the entire world to find them when they had to take and extended visit to Hell.
What more could you want in a man? A decent dic— according to MC he has that too so check mate.
More thoughts about the game itself under the cut if you're interested.
I just finished chapter one, and can I just say this game is hard, in every sense of the word.
It's a new game by a smaller developer so it's full of bugs but I've heard the devs do try their best to patch them ASAP so I don't hold that against them. Aside from my boy Satan not hitting water enemies, even though devs said they patched that a few updates ago, it's mostly QoL improvements that can be made to make the game just overall more enjoyable including but not limited to:
A pity system? Maybe? I don't know if this game has pity or not on their gacha machines and if they do I'd like to know how screwed I am because I have no self-control and have been doing single pulls on the hot boy gacha instead of saving up and doing 10-pulls so I wanna know if it's better to do 10-pulls or if it literally makes no difference because I just go until I hit pity like in arknights.
Skipping the cut scene that plays when you gacha because I swear that's one of the main reasons you can't play this game in public no matter how discreet you try to be lmao
Opening multiple chests at once and levelling up multiple times in one go because as far as I know, right now you need to click one by one for both of these.
Maybe a thing where it just takes you to the part of the story you're currently in instead of making you click through chapter select and scrolling to it.
A shortcut button to the gacha screen, secret club, and dark sanctuary (resource grind stages). They're core aspects of the game yet you can't get to them without going through the home screen.
Auto deploy and auto play for the resource grinding stages
Setting an L-rank character (side note, it's really funny that the highest rank of cards is rank 'L') as your homescreen boi is really awkward because it always ends up zoomed in on one part so you can't actually see the full boi.
This last one I feel like is just a personal thing but why is it three red keys per single pull for the hot boy gacha? Three just feels like such a random number lmao. Ig they mostly want you to use the red gems, which are grind-able to some extent, to buy the keys from the store.
Overall tho, I enjoy it. I like the tower defense like combat system and being able to move units around is actually pretty fun. So yea give it a try, see if it's your cup of tea.

(@oatmeal-stans-the-trash-rat) It's Oatmeal, hello!
I have no energy to do my usual bit, so uh. ON TO THE SPOOKY GAYS :D
So long of an ask it made my typing lag out. I don't blame you if you don't answer this cause I accidentally made this into a damn list-fic lmao. Sorry about that (/gen).
We can just title it Searching For A Someone, Can Anyone Find Him? and leave it there. A Dukexiety Pony AU, if ya will.
Warning: slightly suggestive(?), arguing, soap allergy (that gets mentioned once and never again), unreality(?), fantasy ableism(?), intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, mentioned abandonment/banishment, betrayal, abandonment issues, fear of being alone, fear of vulnerability, difficulty trusting others, anxiety, insecurity, separation from family, nightmare mention, ANGST
In list form cause ✨ramble time✨
MLP au bc... bc I say so :3
Okay so: Virgil is a Pegasus who cannot/didn't learn to fly cause he grew up on the ground in the Everfree Forest; still lives there & used to being on his own
Remus is a unicorn with a broken horn, so every time he does magic, his spells go very wrong and kinda spiral outta control; bc of this, after a bit of chaos, Ponyville kinda ran him out and he hid in the Everfree Forest
There's some background Creativitwins angst... let's just say Roman was too afraid to defend his brother & while he tried to do something about it, it didn't go well & Ponyville threatened to run him out like his brother... Ya see where this is going. He got really scared and wasn't there for Remus when he needed him to be. They both miss each other a lot but don't like talking about it.
ANYWAY: so one day, Virgil & Remus come across each other. Remus is a chaotic mess & Virgil is anxious and not very good with trusting others; Remus is a little eager for some genuine connection bc he hates being alone. Virgil tries to just. Go on with his day, but Remus is persistent & won't leave him be. They end up sticking together bc they literally have no one else anyway so why not?
As their friendship grows, Virgil ends up genuinely caring about Remus and his chaotic self. Remus cares about Virgil & becomes a bit protective of him.
Later on, as they grow closer, they reveal insecurities & such. Remus with his fear of being alone, abandonment issues, and odd allergy of soap that comes up in conversation for no reason. Virgil with his difficulty trusting others and being vulnerable and all his anxieties and the fact he has wings but he doesn't know how to fly. They bond over both feeling useless sometimes (Virgil's lack of flight & Remus' messed-up magic issues).
At some point Remus has a difficult episode concerning his intrusive thoughts and Virgil helps him out the best he can with breathing exercises he knows from calming himself down from his own panic attacks. Remus admits to having pretty bad intrusive thoughts a lot of the time & that his episodes are common. He's surprised when Virgil is like "okay well uh is there things I can do to help take better care of you when they happen? Like what you need?" and feels so cared for by that sentence alone and actually feels safe for once after so long of being alone
The first time Virgil has a panic attack around Remus is also the first time he felt undoubtedly safe with someone after so long of being alone. Remus remembers the breathing exercises Virgil taught him and helps him through it. Let's just say it ended with them cuddling so close it was hard to tell them apart. Remus has this talent for distracting Virgil & making him laugh at the weirdest things & reassuring him in his own way.
So yeah, they both cared lots for each other & feel safe with each other & just sjsjsjsjsj GAY
uh anyway they never really have an official confession bc they just do what they want & get closer & at some point starting being romo with each other; Virgil gets anxious over it for a lil bit when he realizes how they act & how that might look & so he nervously asks if they're romo partners & Remus is like "yeah? I thought that was already established??" And Virgil is like "oh good for a sec I thought it was one-sided haha" and Remus soothes his anxieties by saying "you're one of the coolest ponies I know and I think you're hot so uh I hope we're romantic by now" and Virgil snorts at him fondly
So yeah they're romo partners
After that comes the question of "how did you end up here". Virgil talks about how he just lived here his whole life since he was a foal & doesn't remember the time before that (aka: he got abandoned as a kid but he don't remember his family from before cause he was a kiddo and young brain didn't want to remember painful memory anyway); Remus mentions growing up in Ponyville but they didn't want him anymore so they threw him out & even his own brother left him all alone (which btw makes Virgil mad/upset bc Remus' own family didn't want him?? I'm sorry what? He's super caring wdym???)
Remus doesn't mention Roman by name but vaguely mentions his twin. Virgil can see the pain in his eyes so he doesn't push. Remus softly admits to missing his brother and Virgil snuggles up next to him to comfort him. Ends in sleepy cuddles yusss
Sometimes when Remus is really insecure he feels like Virgil could leave him and never come back. This also ends in cuddles, very protective cuddles from Virgil. This dynamic is lots of comfort cuddles bc I say so :3
Back in Ponyville, Roman is missing his brother a lot & wants him back & feels so guilty about not being there for him when he needed to be. He's been searching for Remus since he left bc that's his brother but doesn't tell anyone else about it bc he's scared if he utters a word about missing Remus that Ponyville will boot him out
Roman's friends (Logan, Patton, Janus) all know he goes on these 'adventures' a lot. They've all figured out he seems to be looking for something but never finds it cause when he returns home he's always very sad and spends the day back locked away in his house. Patton likes to send over comfort cookies when this happens. Janus will invite him to see the next play with him so he has something to look forward to & will sometimes visit to distract him by talking about Roman's favourite plays with him. Logan always just sits by him in a companionable silence, which usually leads to this steady grounding cuddles. Roman loves Logan Cuddles the best when he's upset. Though they may fight sometimes, Logan's always good at being this comforting grounding presence.
ANYWAYS: so at some point them three figure out Roman is looking for someone; Janus kinda remembers Roman having a brother but doesn't remember what happened to him cause he was younger (youngest in friend group. And shortest. He hates it lmao). Eventually they piece together that he might be looking for his brother and thus try confronting him about, which doesn't go well if ya imagine; Roman gets upset and emotionally reveals what happened and how he's been trying to find his brother for so long and he's so guilty because he couldn't be there for him and he can't find him; all three comfort him cause omg that's a lot how long have you been holding this by yourself? Let us help we can help you look for him it's okay (which surprises Roman bc he's used to hearing hateful remarks about the 'Tale of the Chaos Pony' and how the Chaos Pony was 'thankfully' run outta town)
Patton is hesitant bc he's heard of the Chaos Pony, but offers help anyway bc it's Roman and he feels sympathy for Roman missing his brother
Uh yeah this leads to these four going on a quest into the Everfree Forest to find Remus. Roman give them tips on venturing into the forest bc he's been there so many times and he knows all the places he's already checked
So. Ya can prob see where this is going. With the help with his friends (in true MLP fashion) they find Remus! Yay! And this Pegasus (Virgil) who Roman finds a lil odd and rude but eh first impressions y'know? Yeah.
Except Remus sees him and stares as if he's dreaming. Roman tries to reassure him he's real but Remus doesn't believe him, saying things like "Roman wouldn't be here, he doesn't care about me, he left me all alone, he betrayed me, why would he care?" Which only makes Roman hurt more
ANGST
Virgil sees what's happening and goes to Remus to help. He tells Roman and the others to leave them alone bc they're causing Remus hurt bc it hurts to see his brother and such. Remus looks to Virgil desperately like "am I dreaming, is this real?" Cause he trusts his partner & Virgil tells him how it's really happening in this soft soft voice and Remus pauses. He looks back to Roman, who's crying, and looks to the others, who are watching all this unfold. Remus tears up bc Roman is really here but then it turns into angry tears bc Roman betrayed him and he starts upset shouting about how Roman left all alone and scared and he missed him so much but he hurt him... Yeah it gets very emotional
Roman is apologizing, over and over again, as Remus is hurt and angry bc he missed Remus so so much and he is so so so sorry he failed him as a brother and just wants him back and he never wanted him to leave.
Very messy emotional shouts later, the sky decides to rain bc um. Plot.
They all have to seek shelter in Remus' and Virgil's cave thing they live in. Uh. Idk there's mountains by/in the Everfree Forest, right? Idk, maybe they live in a giant tree like Zacora (idk how to spell her name, she's the zebra from the show)
This leads to Roman seeing for the first time a glimpse into what Remus has been doing for the last who knows how long since he was basically banished. He sees Virgil glaring over at him as he nuzzles and comforts Remus who looks very conflicted and distraught. Logan, Patton, and Janus come over to check on Roman and give him some comfort bc he's also very distraught
Umm, uh, so. Awkward and tension moments. Until Remus softly asks Roman "You really didn't want me to leave?" and omg Roman's heart aches of course he didn't; Roman explains to Remus how he's wanted him back for so long & how he's been searching for him so he can apologize and have his brother back again. Virgil is still very protective over Remus but seems to be glaring less.
This ends up in some agreed peace between the two groups as the storm outside gets worse. Janus makes a comment on that if Virgil is a Pegasus, then why doesn't he go and deal with the storm himself? Can't Pegasi fly?
Of course this sparks a whole new argument bc Virgil is insecure about not knowing how to fly and thus Remus defends him by telling Janus to "shut up it doesn't matter" but then Janus does the mistake of pushing for an answer & Virgil accidentally admits in heated argument that he doesn't know how to fly (Janus shuts up at that & Logan and Patton are kinda like witnesses to whatever to happening rn)
And Remus is like "so what? He's still super cool and caring. I can't do magic the 'right way' and he can't fly. So what? We're both still cool as fuck you bitches" and yeah, Janus apologizes in his own way of being like "my apologies then" which sounds halfway sarcastic bc Janus' voice just sounds sarcastic 90% of the time and that's just how it is
Uh yeah so, after some tension dies down and they all either apologize for what they need to apologize for or accept the apologies given, the storm (which turned from rain to a fucking snowstorm somehow (pony lore)) go away. They're all like "um what" and then realize it was the Windigos all along (these wind elemental pony spirits who feed on hatred and arguments according to MLP canon in the show) and then they all agree to try to actually hear each other out in the future to avoid the Windigos
Brother reconciliation bc I cannot do all this angst without some comfort okay? They cry and vow to never separate again, not like that, & hug the shit outta each other. The others are happy to see some happiness that the twins have each other again. Virgil is still protective over Remus but eases up by a lil bit. Just a lil bit.
Yeah um they all become friends
Roman asks Remus if he wants to return back to Ponyville with Virgil, and he's like "um nah they're all bitches. Plus you could just. Visit. Ya dork" and Roman's like "oh yeah lmao. But will you try to visit?" And Remus is like "maybe" and Roman takes that
(spoiler alert: Remus & Virgil do visit sometimes & find out the old mayor who booted Remus was unelected bc they weren't fair to anyone anyway. The new mayor is actually pretty rad & welcomes Remus back. Remus is still wary of Ponyville but a lil less so with a better mayor being there. Also Princess Celestia makes a token appearance and is like on official MLP Canon business with Twilight Sparkle [think the very first episode of the show happens the first time Remus visits Ponyville] & the Sanders Sides gang is a giant story happening in the background. So yeah)
Happy ending! Yay!
Bonus!
The twins will dual each other and stuff to bond. Usually in the forest
When Remus' intrusive thoughts get bad, his magic reacts to them and goes even more haywire than normal; only Virgil knows how to handle this the best & teaches the others how to take care of Remus (Remus' faves are Virgil, bc he already knows how to help, and Roman, bc his brother catches on quick and uh sibling comfort is unique to its own)
Virgil and Roman develop friendly banter
Janus and Virgil are a bit more rocky with each other at times but nothing friendship-ending
Patton and Remus don't understand each other that well but both make an effort anyway
Logan & Janus become besties with Remus! Bc I say so :3
Virgil is a Pegasus & Remus is a unicorn right? Well, ya see: Roman's a unicorn, Logan's a unicorn, Patton and Janus are earth ponies (aka: the only Pegasus in the friend group is flightless, whoops)
Um some friendship nonsense happens and via hot balloon, Virgil sees Cloudsdale for the first time! He sees everything he was supposed to have as a Pegasus kid & that's an angsty hurt/comfort story right there on its own. Remus and Logan go with him for support.
At some point, the others ask Dukexiety if they're dating bc they're romantic with each other and they're like "yeah, we have been the whole time?? What are you, oblivious?" And yeah, the others were a lil oblivious to it sans maybe Logan. Mainly cause he's Logan and also he already asked not long after he met them
Comfort moments with the twins when some insecurities kick in; they stay with each other and hug the shit outta each other the whole time
Roman gets nightmares frequently & when Remus discovers this, he makes sure Roman knows he can always seek comfort from him when he needs it. Remus is surprisingly very good with helping a distressed panicky post-nightmare Roman feel safe again
Janus & Remus cause some chaos together. Occasionally. Okay maybe more than occasionally but hey. :3
Remus & Virgil have cutie-marks that have nothing to do with their disabilities (broken horn & flightless wings) bc their disabilities aren't the One Thing they are :)
Um Dukexiety kisses and nuzzles? Yeah.
If ya ever answer this ask, then I may copy + paste my list-fic into a doc and try to write it... Maybe. We'll see, lol :3
Good luck with this, it's so long sksjsjsjsjsj
Aye heyo Oatmeal!!! No need to apologize but oml I L O V E this entire AU S O fucking much P L E A S E!!! It has the perfect amount of A N G S T and fluff!!! Poor Ree was an outcast and didn't know his brother actually cared but luckily he found Vee along the way and that it was easy for them to connect with each other and have a strong bond <3 Cackling at the fact that when Vee asks if they're dating Ree's just like "You're hot as hell was this not already established???" they're such dorks I L O V E them XD God and it's S O fucking sweet that Ro is trying everything he can to find his brother while the others comfort him and stick by his side through it <3 I don't blame the chaotic Unicorn for feeling the way he did when he was found but it's good that everything worked out in the end and everyone is friends <3

Ok ok, system experiences: weird forms of amnesia edition
Alright, like the alterhuman folks have all been saying today, lemme try to actually write some of this personal experiences stuff instead of only reblogging posts about how it'd be a great thing to do, lol Bit of rambling about one of the few forms of amnesia/(amnesia-adjacent-thing? idk) that we experience, and don't hear other systems describe as much.
So, as a system, we don't (as far as we know) have a lot of amnesia, especially not amnesia around events or blackouts between switches. We do have different emotions and perspectives about stuff, and different degrees of emotional attachment to different memories and concepts, but most of the time we have access to the same memories, and can tell who's front-POV any individual memory was from when either of us recalls it.
We did get a bit of a reminder today that we do actually experience some form of narrative/episodic amnesia...kind of? We don't hear it talked about a lot, so hey, I'll talk about it, and I'd love to know if anyone reading this recognizes it (either from their own experiences, or if they happen to know some kind of official term for it or something). Essentially, it's like...temporary, stress-induced memory shutdowns? Kind of like how when we're having a really out-of-it day, we can just mentally afk and miss 50%-80% of what someone says when they're trying to have a conversation with us, except it'll extend beyond just immediate short-term recall and make it hard to access practically anything from the whole week/month/etc. A key thing about the experience for us is that it doesn't feel like...a "blackout", and (as far as we've been able to tell from getting better memory access back later) it's not centered around specific extra-upsetting events or anything, it's more like...really, really bad internet connection while trying to search our brain for answers to stuff. "What did we do this past week? idk, it was normal stuff, though. How are we feeling, I know intellectually it was kind of a rough week? idk pretty chill probably :)"
Also, we can kinda start getting recall back if we're prompted about specific details and stuff, but too much trying-to-remember effort (especially in situations where we're being called on to do emotional work, like therapy sessions) can also turn into a headache--like, oh yeah, here's the memory, but if we get more than "a sentence or two into the first paragraph" of recalling it, we'll get a nice little dissociation headache and suddenly something else seems way more interesting to think about.
Anyways, thought that might be a useful experience for other folks to compare notes on? It doesn't feel from the inside like amnesia in the "traditional" sense, really, not only because it's in transient episodes but also because we still have the strong sense that the memories are actually there and that there's no lost time or anything Really Bad that's been redacted. It's also it's pretty overtly obvious that it's protective mechanism due to stress/mental overload, even though it's not deliberate, and not under conscious control. In that way, it feels like a pretty apt comparison to say that it's like we're having a speech shutdown episode, except for about memory instead of talking out loud--we didn't lose the memories, the mental filing cabinet drawer just got stuck; we didn't lose our verbal processing, we just can't get the words to happen out loud right now.
If we had to guess, just from how it feels body-wise, the mechanism is probably similar to what happens in catatonia? Also--forgot to mention this earlier, but if we keep getting pressed about stuff, either externally or from pushing ourselves internally, it'll almost always end up triggering a switch (usually to me, which is exactly what happened earlier today in family therapy, lmao). Do I remember the week better than L does, when that happens? Hm. Kinda? The catatonia-like "mentally underwater" feeling goes away for sure, and it's more like...I can get to the bare minimum content information more easily, (like the bullet points info awareness), without getting lost in the fog about it--but I still don't have really any better recall of the narrative stuff. That's my current theory, idk, could be wrong. Anyone else know what I'm describing? Lmk!

Tumblr media
This looks like a fun idea, so here goes! :
Tumblr media
What do you think of this guy🙃?
Oh wow! Good character you chose there ahahaha! Roselle Gustav aka Huang Tao!
First impression
Honestly, I was floating in confusion at the start a bit, considering it was my first Chinese webnovel, so I had a period of readjustment to the writing style (or the translation ig?), so I didn't immediately connect the dots that Roselle was a transmigrator or that he's... kinda "dead" lol
Buuuut, once the dots connected, I did find him quite amusing! Bro's self-confidence gave me second-hand embarrassment, but not That bad. But also, Klein was bashing on him so hard, it was kinda hilarious.
I don't fully remember what impression I had of him, since I was reading pretty slow in the beginning and some ideas were lost, but overall, fun guy lmao
Impression now
Hilarious guy, a meme, a legend.
Yet...
Quite unfortunate that his end was just endless suffering (which will hopefully not be endless haha...). Bro made small mistakes in the beginning when he didn't know Anything, when he was transported to a world he didn't know anything about, forced to adapt and live a new life. I don't know, I find him tragic, just like Klein.
At least he had some good times along the road (especially with a demoness heh). The funny stories were nice to read.
Favorite moment
Basic, but his first talk with Klein. I mean, him meeting a fellow transmigrater and quickly having faith in him was sweet. I really wish to see more of them :>
If we're talking about the diary entries, I'd probably choose when... uhhh the corruption thing. Roselle going to the moon. And when he gazed into the Abyss. I remember how the diary entry abruptly cut off after dumping a lot of info and both Klein and I were Flabbergasted. What did it MEAN-!!
(I have a feeling I'm mixing up the moments, but the feelings remain. The confusion, the anticipation and the wonder from some diary entries were Amazing)
OH, and the last diary entry of course. It was so chill-inducing! It was one of those moments that answered a lot of questions while also bringing even MORE questions. It was just- the atmosphere full of fear and uncertainty, putting into question what that fellow transmigrator went through, wowie~
Idea for a story
Well, let me shuffle in the corner of my brain...
I've always been a fan of Time Travel AUs. So the idea of Klein (at a higher sequence but not Saint Level, maybe? Idk, a lot of possibilities here) travelling to Roselle’s time period and the two of them becoming best buddies (Roselle’s words, not Klein's. Klein's facepalming in the background at Roselle’s shenanigans).
Maybe! It could be a young god Mr Fool using his domain over Space and Time and having a misplaced adventure during Roselle’s time.
(We're pretending the Outer Gods and CW isn't as dauting of a problem as they are in canon, aye?)
Anyway, doesn't matter which version of Klein or during what time he's visiting, it's mandatory that he facepalms at least once :))
Unpopular opinion
Well, I don't know the popular opinions, so I'll guess I'll just go with an opinion.
I mean, he totally could've treated his wife better. I can understand feeling a disconnect with this world and humanity in general, but at least don't bring shame to her name by being a known womanizer, mm? At least divorce or smth, man. You overthrew the government, you could definitely do that.
Unless he actually did divorce her and we just don't know. But otherwise, yeah. Kinda dick move there, Emperor.
Favorite relationship
(Platonic, right?)
Again, basic but. Roselle and Bernadette.
The fact that Bernadette spent so much time searching for a father she was on dubious terms with and how much faith she had that he persevered against all odds.
The fact that Roselle’s one and only tie with this new world was his daughter, his beloved child that he loved with all his might. A child he shared a piece of his old world with. A child he remodeled this entire world's structure for. Absolutely heart-warming.
Favorite headcannon
Hmm let's see...
Huang Tao, as a young individual who surfs the internet, would know a lot of memes or jokes. After becoming Roselle Gustav, those memes aren't easily forgotten.
I mean, is it canon, actually? Maybe he made several Chinese meme references and I missed them lmao. That would be funny
Bonus: imagine Huang Tao and Zhou Mingrui bumped into each other one day, unaware that the next time they'll meet each other, it will be after more than 10 000 years, give or take. ...what's the timeline here?

So What Was Yaha's Deal? Drakengard Things You Might Not Know
GOD okay so im finally rambling about him okay so
I've been thinking about Yaha lately and it's really dawning on me how a lot of people just do NOT know about Yaha's past and it makes sense!! Literally NONE of this is available in English and it's so :( but also it makes me sad both because it's SO good and also because when people shrug him off as just "Reason Drakengard 2 sucks: it has a gay stereotype" like oh you do NOT even know omg
anyways, just so we're on the same page: this is NOT a theory discussing what happened to Yaha, just the best collage of what's ACTUALLY considered "canon" that I've picked up from different side materials and interviews (Most notably, Memory of Blood and World Inside). If I ever find anything else I'll be sure to update it :3
I WILL dive into a bit of personal interpretation/rambling over his battle lines (i have them save lmao) a bit later, maybe even in a separate post, but BOY
So TW: Mentions of noncon, dubcon and CSA up ahead
So i think the first thing that's to be established about Yaha's character is that the Empire DID wipe out most the elf population in DOD1, and while he did survive this, he was more or less still a victim in the respect that his parents WERE killed in likely less-than-painless ways as the Empire sought to use the elves both to use their blood for magic-repellent armour (While it looks like it was only introduced the the third game, it's actually been plot point for a while!) and the children to open the seal.
Given he's 25 by the events of Drakengard 2, he'd have to be around 7 at oldest before he arrived at the orphanage where met Urick. (He's not even 10 and he's already been through it...... baby...........)
Fortunately or unfortunately enough, Yaha DID manage to find a way to "survive" in this world from a very young age, and that was due to the fact that even as a child, he wasn't just commonly mistaken for a girl, but an absolutely "captivating" one. As it reads in his glossary section in Memory of Blood:
"He grew up an orphan, and even though he was a male, he boasted such beauty that he was frequently mistaken for a woman from an early age [...] For this, he uses his beauty as a systemic tool for survival. He captivates everyone, both male and female, and gains both status and protection in exchange for his body, which he used to escape life in the orphanage." (Glossary section from Memory of Blood)
It should be noted before I go on that the director, Akira Yasui, DID hint in his world inside interview that he thinks there was "something" between Yaha and Urick during their days in the orphanage, but whether that means feelings or an actual relationship isn't really clear (Though judging by his tone, it seems to lean more towards the short-lived, childlike-fling interpretation than anything imo i could just be biased though lmao):
"...As for his relationship with Urick, Yaha had liked him since they were in the orphanage together. I think there was definitely “Something” between them before Yaha left the orphanage. The powers of his pact didn’t reach Urick because he already knew how to deal with it; Urick was also once mesmerised by Yaha’s charm." (Yasui interview from World Inside)
(That last line is included for those tragedy points from when we get to the ~Split~ and BOY)
As for the orphanage, Yaha was...... "Adopted" by a well-to-do man when he was 14 years old. As for why and how he got adopted, it's unfortunately stated right at the end of his glossary entry which isn't even the worst part when you take into consideration that he's already been doing this for a while.
At any rate, Yaha DOES decide "You know what? Fuck it, we splurge" and uses all adoptee's fuckass money to buy useless shit until he turned 16 and joined the Knights in search of a better standard of living (How can he get that if he's already pretty much rich? given what he's going through at that point, you do the math)
and you know what? he deserves nice things <3
(And to note, Urick was also taken in by Oror from the orphanage as an apprentice when he was 16 as well.)
Anyways, Yaha was back to survival mode after joining the Knights, and just as he did when he was in the orphanage, used his body to climb the ranks of the KotS in search of a better standing in life. It's just repeating what his glossary says, but Yaha WAS slandered for this and got a lot of shit and rumours spoken about him behind his back for it. And the list...... wondering why gismor isn't on that list.... is there something he's not telling us???
"He joined the Knights of the Seal in search of a better standard of life; his successful climbing of its ranks being more due to his "body" than his skill in battle. The only people of notable standing who had not had a relationship with him are Oror and the Hierarch Seere (It is rumoured that he may have also had a relationship with Verdelet). Behind his back, Yaha was labelled a nymphomaniac." (Glossary section from Memory of Blood)
While working on an excavation site during the creation of the different countries of Midgard into districts (It's own can of worms), Yaha comes across a beautiful jewel unlike anything he had seen before. SO beautiful as a matter of fact, that Yaha, who by merit made beauty his everything on the basis that it was all he had (aside from Urick), took personal offense to this and pointed his sword at it. However, from the jewel came a gnome who would go on to offer Yaha a pact, offering him irresistible charm so that he could get whoever he wanted. Yaha, seeing the opportunity to move up even further in the ranks of the Knights of the Seal (both due to his charm and his status as a Pact-Partner, as Gismor was looking for Pact-Partners specifically SO they could guard the Seal Keys and manage the districts) and also claim Urick's heart by doing it, accepted the pact in an instant. But as you all know, that came at a VERY high price. Of course, Yaha lost his ability to feel pleasure, resulting in whatever "barrier" from his mental scars he had whenever he tried to do the deed being removed. The act of sex, for Yaha, was filled with not just mental pain made lighter by the aspect of pleasure, but now was just sheer psychical pain as well. What a lot of people may not know, however, is how literally Urick meant it when he said "Don't look into his eyes, he'll trick you with his lies" and followed up with "It's the power given to him by his pact-beast. Or maybe it's the price he had to pay." Urick was not joking.
For those familiar with Junji Ito's Tomie, it was essentially just that: Yaha wasn't just in possession of extreme charm, but enough to bring people to lose all rational thought and reason when they were around him. And the way the glossary talks about this...
"[...]As a result, his beauty became even more ebullient, to the point it lead to people easily losing all sense of reason. However, his body was no longer able to feel the sensation of pleasure. This was the price of his pact. Although Yaha had come to immensely regret it, it was already too late. He now lives every day being swarmed by those who have lost all reason and is forced to engage in sexual acts filled with nothing but fear and pain."
Yaha............ :( SO this is what leads to the real final kicker: Yaha has gotten his position, has more beauty than anyone could ever imagine, but what he really wants is Urick, right? Of all the pain of sex both psychically and mentally, if he could at least be with Urick, the one person he saw differently, the one person that at least wouldn't be mentally scarring to sleep with, maybe it could all make sense. So Yaha confesses to Urick. But Urick turns him down - not because of any sound argument, but because all he sees is a self-absorbed narcissist in his friend's place, manipulating others and sleeping around carelessly just to up his own ranks in society. For two seconds, it would make sense - That's technically what it is. A honest flaw in Yaha's character is that he's genuinely greedy and materialistic. He uses goddamned slave labour, for Christ's sake. On the other hand, is he really looking for a higher place in society? Or is he looking for stability? A place to get away from his past and be the one in control for once? Of course, being perfectly aligned with Urick's own version of "self-absorption" (All the Lieutenants have it!), he completely failed to realise where all that stemmed from. He saw Yaha as just being greedy and narcissistic from the lens of him being inherently bad, didn't for a second take into account Yaha's origins which led to that behaviour. His own best friend. So, long story short: Urick thinks Yaha is a bastardisation of his best friend and, following in his cowardly character, takes that as personally as you can (as you see in all his scenes and lines relating to Yaha together, im going to slap that little cunt) - despite the fact Yaha SHOULD have had the upper hand via his Tomie-like powers, as I mentioned towards the start of the post, Urick was already charmed by Yaha - he had just grown used to it because of how close they already were.
Brief Personal Analysis:
Personally reading into it, Yaha doesn't really care so much about his position as, beyond just being about as high as you can get, and it wasn't what he really wanted. The underlying source that got him that position to START with was his beauty, which Yaha cherishes like a narcissist would. He's used to people changing their tune whenever they lay eyes upon them, which Urick specifically instructs not to do towards the beginning of the battle, and is the source of such lines as "If I die, my beautiful body and the holy crystal shall perish. You would let that happen?" At the same time, a player death results in a VERY different tune from Yaha, where he dejectedly says the line "My beauty... It is my sin." Possibly hinting towards his own conflicted feelings and sorrow towards it as again, he goes from "My body is perfect, is it not?" to "My beauty is my sin" as soon as Nowe or his crew is too dead to question it. The difference is VERY jarring between the two, and I also bring into question the tone he uses to speak about his gnomes on whether he intentionally sounds exhausted of them (It would make sense, given the hinted resentment he has towards his pact-beasts for doing him dirty like that) or if he... Just sounds like that. Granted, a LOT of Yaha's lines sound similar in their sultry, somewhat sorrowful and tired tone all around. Of course, there are also his lines directed towards Urick, which should be self-explanatory given the context, but a few other notes and trivia and whatnot before i wrap up:
Just to note and say the obvious a final time since I know how this fanbase can be: Yaha IS genuinely a narcissist, that being his leading character flaw, though of course it should go without saying that while his actions as a result of that (re: slave labour) are definitely not to be swept under the rug, it's just as important to note the context that led to that and the tragedy of his character because of it. As Urick says, "He was very different then."
Yaha is confirmed bisexual! It surprised me too, but...
"Similarly, when I designed Yaha, I designed him to be a typical narcissist — a character who would probably go and describe their own self as "Beautiful". But even though his character is supposed to be one who is attracted to both men and women in the story, people who are attracted to both genders in real life are usually not of this type. Like Gismor, he also largely captures the image of "Bewitching"." (Character Artist Fujisaka commenting on Yaha's design in Memory of Blood)
Just a fun little detail: During Yaha's battle against the Rock Gnome, when it lifts the jewel above it's head in order to throw it at you, you can throw out a magic attack at just the right time and it will drop the jewel on its head for massive damage! And of course, similarly you mainly attack the Rock Gnome by using jump attacks to bring your weapon down on its head. And if you look at Yaha's portrait during his death scene...
Tumblr media
Similarly, Urick is strong against monsters, which encourages you to use him to bring the final death blow to Yaha. And given their lore together I'd be damned if this cruel little snippet wasn't done intentionally.
The drawing of Yaha's death with the gnomes is titled "End of Agony", and hopefully after reading this post, you now know why.
Tumblr media
A bit more interpretation than theory, but I have an ongoing hunch that each of the layouts and/or "gimmicks" of the Lieutenant's fortresses are based off the personality and story of the Lieutenant itself. Hanch is based around walls, closed doors and of course, water, Urick's is a twisting maze based off of sacrifice with the themes of life and death, Gismor's is based in fighting your way up a tall tower to reflect his ego and overlying reach as an antagonist, and Yaha's, primarily, is based off of illusions. The more you get past them and through the fortress, the less "ebullient" and fancy it looks until you reach its end - a single, shabby room filled with sand and dirt with nothing but a few musty crates and a bunch of jail cells meant for holding sacrificed prisoners to the Seal Keys. If that doesn't reflect Yaha's whole character, I don't know what does.
Either way, that's about all I think I have for him! Hopefully you learned something new, and if you have any questions, do let me know~

okay but hold me like you scared to sounds so good already (they all sound so good tbh but this one piqued my interest lol) what's it about? and for the fanfic questions 32, 50 and J :))
@frappe-the-peppermint WE GOT ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ahem oh wow who said that. anyway ill do the questions first then get into fic discussion…
32) Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?
i listen to SO MUCH MUSIC!!!!! it depends on what im wrting tbh but i just queue up a bunch of songs in my liked playlist and write and write until it ends or im no longer on that flow. and well my music taste is an absolute mess so there isnt any one definitive band or genre that does it for me (i only pay attention Sometimes) but i suppose artists like mitski and queen would be a decent summary of my taste 😅
50) How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?
gravity falls, no stop. the first one that ever piqued my interest was versability (originally on ff.net me thinks) and god damn it HOOKED ME!!!! gravity falls was already getting me up but wow that just got me SO MUCH HIGHER. i have a few authors i started binge reading like thesnadger and pinesinthewoods, i started extracting fics from reccs from tumblr artists, soon discovered ao3, and never looked back. and as for writing fic,,,,, well frankly it was the search for the cure’s original form that got me GOING!!!! it originally had crappy ocs as the forefronters but i soon changed that lmao (im definitely not saying theyre bad in general, just those… no) and i wrote So Much For It on my notes app. i didnt realize i culd actually show people until way later, in which i did, and realized that it could actually be better. thats why i reversed back to part one, made the story a part two, scapped the ocs, and…now we’re here. i still love it and gravity falls, i dont really show it here anymore. i really should, man. i need to write for them again!!!! it still excites me!!!! and the prose that im weaving now,,,, id DEMOLISH THE GAME!!!!!!! :)
J) what your favorite fanfic trope? have you written it?
honestly i think just showing you my favorted ao3 tags will paint a very detailed picture. here:
Tumblr media
though i suppose if i had to pick one here…god its between time loop and presumed dead (and grief/moruning but idk if thats a trope so much as it is a theme). MMMMMMMM. mmmmm. just YES. the psychological affects of both being a time loop and thinking someone you love is dead but they arent actually are DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! they are a MUST HAVE. i daydream constantly, but i havent written time loop yet because while i love it, i havent hadthe motive to write such a thing myself. reading is chill ✊ and presumed dead well i try to throw it is as much as i can, the most recent ive used being a west end town and my favorite being that one kid from jersey ! i need to do more of these fr. its just so GOOD!!!!!!
okay. its finally time for the brainwashing discussing of the fic ! i can tell you alllll about that story and it will be my pleasure sonny 🫡 its a very long story. but short verison in case you dont want to go on: its a Titanic epic . april 1912. iceberg. ive read a few that are AMAZING, but i wanted to write one that catered it allll to Me. it has lesbians, heaven sucking ass, flood parallels, and a king of the world AND draw me like one of your french girls scene. very nice 🔥
okay now its time for the long story. so a super super long time ago for a post i cant even remember (i really wanna find it 😭😭) i for someone reason went on a tangent about the titanic. i had just read this fic called sinking into the sea which was tbh VERY GOOD (and i would read it again fr fr ) but at the time, i was kinda bummed that aziraphale and crowley never actually Interacted when i had expected. aziraphale didnt even know crowley was there!!! it left me feeling melancholy, and realizing that all of the titanic fics ive ate up to that point didnt HIT hit the spot (i didnt find this after this realization, but again, theyre not even on the boat 🤧) so i was feeling a bit incomplete. i started ranting and ranting it was a wholeee wall of a text of what I would do with a titanic story and i realized oh wait i can Do Something with this because i haev free will and actual (somewhat) coherent skill. pepper jumped on the wagon, REALLY REALLY encouraged which i cant thank enough for, and….we’re here. its brewing. i had a very large interest in the titanic for a long time before this tbh, so being able to insert it into The Interest just JUMPSTARTED my brain and it still does to this day. now for the plot….
its 2020, a year after the apocalypse (no pandemic). anathema, newt, brian, crowley, and aziraphale have been assigned to plan adam’s 12th birthday party—they shenanigan, as you do. on the day of the party (adam’s birthday) anathema and newt find a chest in jasmine cottage’s attic full of titanic relics, including a pack of polaroid photos (handheld cameras did indeed exist in 1912, i checked !) which kinda might sort of have a photo of aziraphale and crowley!?!?! it was sent to them about six months before. but after the whole Second Volume fiasco, anathema just sort of wrote it off in that way and Hid It. but newt was curious, he found it, and god it was writtent his way wasnt it. (well, not by the nutter they were thinking of actually). anathema confronts them about itsoon after, and they all sit down to hear the story of the titanic in a sort of rose dawson beat. then its 1912—50ish years since the holy water incident and almost a century since the resurrectionists disaster. aziraphale has been assigned to take this trip to new york for Some Reason (we found out why later) and happened to invite crowley to come along to attempt to make amends after Allat (he really does feel bad, but he will NOT do the holy water thing yet </3) shit occurs, but history atlarge will not be rewritten. it does change their story, though. adding a sprinkle of interest in the device family line. agnes prophec(y)(ies), dancing on deck under the stars, playing cards with humans and winning by a Lot, aziraphale’s artistic skills are put to use at one point—ughghgufhits just so DEAR TO ME!!!!! and of course the conflict will come later, especially considering the religious connections to the titanic sinking—“not even God can sink this ship” type conversation 🥰 aziraphale can and will be made uncomfortable. its for the character development dont worry about it. i even have a playlist for this fic (it sorted by the way the tone shifts thru the story, some songs are silly but they had to stay). pep has also made some song covers to some of the songs that ive heavily connected to the fic and I REALLY FUCKING LIKED. LIKE A LOT. THEYRE AMAZING YOU SHOULD LISTEN IF YOU WANT TO!!!!
the point of all this is that i like titanic fics and im trying to throw my hat in the ring even if its just for me and my friend 🔥🔥 because while others have fed me, i havent seen ones that have documented like Every Single Day on the titanic that aziraphale and crowley would theoretically have as well as developing aziraphale and crowley’s relationship while taking into account whats happened before (insert the story into a part of the timeline seamlessly i think thats how i’d describe) AS WELL AS connecting the reason why the titanic was such a freak tragedy and how the world is not fucking fair instead of just “oh whoops the thing sank 😞” i want NITTY GRITTY DETAIL!!!!!! I WANT GUILT!!!!!!! I WANT CHAOS!!!!!!!! I WANT TALKING ABOUT GOD!!!!!!! I WANT AZIRAPHALE IN A MENTAL CRISIS!!!!! I WANT CROWLEY JUST WANTING TO FUCKING LIVE FUCKING PEACEFULLY!!!!!!! I WANT LESBIANS!!!!!! i need to get on this,,,, so much to do. i love it all and TY FOR THE ASK!!!!

Same anon as before talking about writing stuff and worrying about if people will find it (but not the same anon as the other asks before that) - I think many people who are budding writers and artists have these concerns and bring them to you because you A). Are a creator yourself so you know what you're talking about in a verified sense and B). Idk about other anons but some of us (like me) take your reasoning (and critique) in regard to writing seriously because of your experience and how you analyze stuff such as LO.
I think at least some of us (again I can't speak for everyone nor can I or should I) wants to make sure they're not making mistakes such as the ones RS does in writing.
Also I might just take you up on your offer of Zelda fanfic - I do so love LoZ 😅.
ugh god, am I y'all's role model now or smthing? why would you do that to yourself (ㆆ_ㆆ)
okay but jokes aside, obviously people can't help who they look up to and I'm not gonna be a dick if y'all look up to my work and what I do here, just remember also that you're not obligated to agree with everything I say or take it to heart, you also shouldn't take my analysis of LO and how it's written/drawn personally because so much of that analysis is within the VERY specific definitions in which LO exists, definitions that don't really apply to many other webtoons on the platform. If there's anything I say or criticize LO for that speaks to you and your own work on a certain level, try not to take it as a direct personal attack towards you and more just like... if the things I'm saying about LO feel like they apply to your work, take it as advice for improving your own craft.
Or don't! You can literally ignore me and do what you were gonna do anyways. I literally cannot take that away from you and you absolutely shouldn't let me. I have no real power over anyone here, that's what I mean when I say I'm just a guy participating in their hyperfixation so don't feel like you gotta take me too seriously lmao
Also, yeah, okay, I'm a webcomic creator myself, but to put myself on the cross for once - I've never succeeded at this gig. Rekindled is the most consistent audience I've had in years, I think the last time my work was in a banner rotation was in 2015 (and it wasn't on WT), and I somehow make something like $20/month off Patreon. I've had small victories along the way, it hasn't been all bad, but this isn't my living and chances are low I'll ever find mass success with it. Everything I said about not taking my opinion too seriously because I'm just a random Internet guy applies to people like Rachel as well, while I criticize her work on the basis of it being a commercial product that should know better and I DEFINITELY harp on her for a lot of shit, at the end of the day she's in no way obligated to pay even a second of attention to me because she's made way more money in webcomics in the last 2-3 years than I could ever dream of making in the 10 years I've been doing this, that's something I can't take away from her and that was never the goal when it came to discussing her work. All I have to show for my own efforts is experience and rhetoric, and a few odd readers who have been around so long I wonder why they even still follow me LOL I am your typical "can never live up to the success of those who they criticize" chronically online shitposter. I don't think I should have to be on Rachel's level to be able to discuss her work, mind you, that's half the function of an audience to begin with, but it's not like I have any real legitimacy in this industry that you should worry about what I have to say. It's not like I'm capable of robbing Rachel of her awards or the money she's made lol
And by all means, go ahead and look for my fanfiction stuff, but I'm not providing any eye bleach because I wrote it when I was like, 13 years old, so search at your own risk lmao
(and if you do find it, no you didn't (︶^︶)/hj)

Something no one asked for and no one cares about:
An in-depth discussion about Gustholomule and their leitmotifs because I’m a music nerd and I just finished rewatching s2 and find this shit fun and interesting.
The songs and episodes I’ll be mostly discussing are: Through The Looking Glass Ruins (TTLGRs) (S2 Ep5), ‘Maybe I Can Help’ & ‘Does this mean we’re friends’. And For The Fans (FTFs) (S3 Ep2), ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’.
I’m gonna start off kinda technical so if you don’t get music theory this might be ever so slightly confusing (maybe? Idk-)
The notes for the melody have a very noticeable similarity: their endings.
Let’s take ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’.
In a simple drawn out diagram it’d look like this:
Tumblr media
And the way that ‘Maybe I Can Help’ would be drawn out would be like this:
Tumblr media
As you can see, they’re very obviously similar. Of course this isn’t exact, but visually speaking, they’re very similar. They both have an incline in their notes, both songs slowing near the ends.
Off the topic of technical stuff, onto one thing most people would notice about the two songs: the instruments used.
It is clear that the main family used in these songs is the strings, which occasional percussion thrown into ‘Maybe I Can Help’.
The Instruments heard in both were:
A Possible Cello or Double Bass (playing the bass line)
Violin and/or Violian (playing the melody and harmony lines)
However, in TTLGRs, Piano, Triangle, and Virtual Instruments were heard, which makes more sense to be there given the mood of the scene that the song was in.
Back to the string family, upon searching up “what string instruments symbolise”, the results were:
Tumblr media
While this is kinda…vague, it can still help us get some deeper insight into out scenes and their scores!
Let’s take a closer look into TTLGRs first!
The scene, on a basic level, was about helping people and friendship. Matt and Gus were offering to clean up the graveyard and, later on, offered to come back on the weekends to build the defences.
It was a lighthearted scene which filled the viewer with a sense of accomplishment and almost excitement and passion about the project the boys took on for themselves, excited to see how this would go. It made everyone feel like things would be going well for everyone. The boys felt sympathy (see image about string family symbolism) for the keeper and therefore helped him set up the defences. This is one of the episodes in the series I’d refer to as “The Calm before The Storm” (A sense of tranquility (see image again), if I may)
Let’s take a look into the FTFs scene now!
On a basic level, this scene was about the same things as the last one: friendship and helping people.
In this scene, Gus and Matt were discussing what Matt was doing while Gus was gone and what Matt’s ideas were to help the people who lived in Hexside 2.0 (I think that’s what they called it anyways LMAO please correct me if I’m wrong). Gus was saying how he thought Matts ideas were good ones and it was another very lighthearted scene.
It was filled with comedy and playful banter between them both, lightening the mood that had been made by the scarier or sadder aspects of the episode and the episode before it. It gave the viewers time to relax, almost time to process what’s happened, and/or enjoy a moment of piece, a moment of calmness before utter mayhem ensues, like what I said before, “the calm before the storm”, though I feel like “the eye of the hurricane” works better here. This scene did a great job with the sense of tranquility again.
Now, there’s one major thing these two scenes have in common. There always seems to be a sense of tranquility every time Gus and Matt are together. They’re the comedy duo. They gain a for. Of comfort when they’re together due to their close friendship. There hasn’t been a moment with these two (mostly since TTLGRs) that they haven’t had this feeling emulated from their scenes. Both characters have always been written with comedy aspects and funny one liners, but when they’re together, the humour is doubled and almost makes you forget all the bad things because you’re only focused on the peace and calm you’re experiencing right then. And honestly I love that. These two need each other, platonically and/or romantically, and it’s sweet to see how much they rely on each other and how they can just enjoy themselves and been the teens they are when they’re together in times like that.
Their humour and the tranquility of this comedy duo makes sense when paired with the instruments used (Strings) and the leitmotifs in their songs (the endings going up at the end, up usually signifying good and positives). And I think it was such smart music work and writing done by the writing team and music team and just everyone involved.

one last s2 speculation post before the season is here: gawyn edition!
the absolute only thing we know about gawyn in s2 is this leaked audition script, and even then we don't know for sure that it was for gawyn rather than galad. but personally i agree with the writer of the article that it feels like gawyn, so that's the assumption i'm functioning under for this post. i'm also assuming that despite the total lack of other evidence for gawyn's presence in s2, he will indeed be there and this script is still largely valid (barring tweaks that might've happened during filming).
we have two scenes: 1) gawyn asks someone for help with archery. presumably this takes place at the white tower and he's speaking with a warder. 2) gawyn is in a bar as a city is about to be sacked.
scene #1: i like the article writer's idea that the person he's talking to is one of alanna's warders. taking this further, what if ihvon/maksim replaces hammar? so, gawyn forms a nice mentorship bond with him in s2 which we actually get to see onscreen, then in s3 they find themselves on opposing sides of the coup and gawyn ends up having to kill him in self-defense. it would be more emotionally impactful for the audience (and also more practical/cost-effective) to use a warder we already know in this role rather than introducing a new one, plus ihvon/maksim will have to die anyway if the "alanna is so wild with grief that she bonds rand against his will" plot beat is kept, so replacing hammar with one of them would kill two birds with one stone.
scene #2: my theory is, this scene takes place in cairhien. let's elaborate on that!
so, we know min ends up in cairhien during s2 (there's a shot of her standing by a window that resembles a window in rand's presumably cairhienin inn room). we know siuan ends up in cairhien as well. we know mat begins the season at the white tower. we can strongly suspect gawyn and min also begin at the white tower. we can strongly suspect based on them being paired together in a poster that mat and min have a connection/shared storyline this season. we can strongly suspect that mat's reason for leaving the white tower and going to falme is that he's worried over the wondergirls' disappearance.
pulling all this together, i propose that mat, min, and gawyn all leave the tower together to search for the wondergirls. maybe siuan has already left for cairhien, so they head there in hopes of finding the girls with her or of getting answers from her regarding their whereabouts. the scene in the audition script is the destruction of foregate (which in the books happens during the shaido invasion, but i've previously speculated the TFOH shaido battle will be moved to tear and combined with the TDR stone battle, so if that's true, then foregate could be destroyed in s2 by different means). the person gawyn is talking to is either min (bartender whose natural instinct is to save the alcohol) or mat (alcohol-lover whose natural instinct is to save the alcohol). i'm leaning towards mat because the discussion of ishamael betraying his BFF lews therin would resonate with mat re: rand, as well as with gawyn re: galad. also because gawyn's first assumption being that the person plans to set a building on fire totally tracks for mat lmao
(actually, reading the script again, i think DEMANDRED would fit better than the writer's guess of ishamael. LTT's best friend who sold him out because he needed others to be weak to make himself strong - that's totally more demandred than ishamael. and the show making gawyn-demandred parallels would be perfect and delicious!!! gawyn-mat-demandred parallels would be even more perfect and delicious!!! kinda losing my mind now i love this so much, i hope these guesses are right!)
ANYWAY, with cairhien in chaos, the party gets separated: mat manages to make his way to falme (maybe he runs into rand and/or moiraine & lan and goes with them), but siuan finds min and gawyn and wrangles them back to the tower, thus ensuring they're in place for their s3 storyline and preventing gawyn from actually finding elayne and getting any closure on that front (and making him even MORE resentful of siuan if she dragged him back to the tower in the middle of his elayne rescue mission).
the "not concerned about your brother?" "if he gave a toss about me he'd be here" exchange in this scene is interesting because it implies galad and gawyn are in the same city during this city-sacking, but are not currently with each other. the galad casting leak notes that the actor appeared to be in prague for s3 filming, but we have no confirmation that he took part in s2. if galad isn't in s2 (which we really don't know one way or the other, so this is super hypothetical), then perhaps rather than going to the white tower along with gawyn, he's currently living in cairhien to hang out with his damodred relatives for one reason or another? and maybe gawyn is sulky because galad knows gawyn is in cairhien but hasn't bothered to come see him. so basically, in this scenario galad is discussed in s2 but remains an offscreen presence until s3. this could be a way to get viewers aware of galad's existence and relationships with his siblings but without having to cast him for s2 if they felt there wasn't space to give him a big enough role for it to be worth including him just yet.
alternately, maybe galad is already a whitecloak and this scene actually takes place at falme (since we know whitecloaks will be at falme). if so, then something else would have to happen to get gawyn and min back to tar valon for s3 and to keep gawyn feeling dissatisfied about siuan lying to him about elayne. @butterflydm speculated that verin and/or alanna and/or some other aes sedai could be at falme and then go to tar valon to bring the horn to the tower, and min (and gawyn in this scenario) could go with her. as for elayne, maybe she does reunite with gawyn at falme but then sneaks off on her and nynaeve's s3 black-ajah-hunting roadtrip without telling him, leaving him upset again over not knowing where she is.
overall, the show having gawyn tag along on a mat-min roadtrip would be a great move for a couple reasons. 1) it lets the viewer spend more time with him pre-coup and get to know and like and understand him as a character, so then his actions during the coup will be easier to understand and also more of an emotional gutpunch. the books' critical error with gawyn is that we just didn't see enough of him or get a proper look inside his head until TGS which was far too late, and so most readers had no understanding of his character/mental state/why he behaves the way he does, and just thought he was stupid and annoying. 2) it lets gawyn and min spend time together and become friends onscreen, which will be great setup for their emotionally significant encounter during the coup in s3 when they find themselves on opposing sides, but gawyn decides to help min escape nonetheless. and most importantly, 3) i love him very much and it would make me very happy to see him participate in a major storyline in s2 <3

Give Me a Heart That Won't Break
Rating: T Pairing: Gen (Levi-centric) Word count: 2k Read it on Ao3!
look at me, finally getting around to posting this on tumblr! i was planning on doing it when i posted in ao3, but i just was too lazy to lmao ;;;
this fic, along with its title, is heavily based on the song Impatiens Balsamina, and I implore you to listen to it!! it's such a pretty yet heart-breaking song <33 and of course i had to inflict pain onto levi, who else would be perfect for this song? lol
anyway, i really hope you enjoy this!! it's in a different style than i usually write in (no dialogue, present tense), so i hope there aren't too many mistakes there (god knows how many times i had to rewrite parts because i instinctively went back into writing past tense lol) but yeah!! please enjoy <3
His headphones aren’t plugged to his phone. He still wears them, scrolling through his phone and acting like they are. Levi is not in the mood to listen to short, few second videos, nor did he want to listen to his classmates. So he instead scrolls through Devilgram, and uses his soundproof headphones to drown out everyone around him. His eyes flit around the room, where other demons chatted and laughed; class hadn’t started yet, and it would be a few minutes before it did. So of course, his peers took the chance to chat, all in their different groups and surrounding someone’s table to form a circle and excitedly spoke over another.
Levi closes his eyes with a sigh for a few seconds, before then going back onto his phone. He doesn’t care about them or whatever they were talking about–probably just about parties, or shopping, or their weekend plans, or whatever normies talked about. He is fine alone, thank you very much. He preferred it, actually. A loud laugh startles the demon, and his head shoots up to search for the source.
A jock, he thinks bitterly. Of course it was a jock who didn’t understand how to be quieter inside, and is impossibly loud enough to break through his headphones for him to listen clearly. They give a hearty laugh, outstretching their hand to give a few friendly pats on their friend's shoulder. Levi is quick to realize that the other demon there that is on the receiving end of the shoulder pats is Beel, who shares a smile just as wide as his friend. His eyes search, because if one twin is there, then–ah, there he is. Belphie is seated in a nearby desk, head down with his arms out to rest on. Unlike most days though, he is wide awake, a smile hidden by his arms, and Levi can see from how his eyes crinkle and how his mouth moves that he is participating in the friendly banter.
He watches for a short few seconds, before snapping back to his phone. He clicks it back on, and goes back to scrolling and pretending not to care or listen to the others around. Well, he isn’t pretending, not at all, he doesn’t care. He is fine with no one around him–hell, he’s happy that he’s alone, because they would just be too loud and annoying, and he doesn't have the patience to handle stupid normies.
Levi is fine doing his own thing, even if it does make him appear to be lonely. Which he isn’t, because he made the choice to be alone. Why would he want to be in cliques where they would just–just-
His hand grips the phone tighter as the screen dims. He isn’t lonely. He doesn’t care what others think. Because that would make him something to be pitied and he is the Avatar of Envy. Yes, he is a gross otaku, someone who plays video games all day, has too much useless trivia memorized, spends literal days watching anime, but he is still the general of Hell’s Navy. He is still very powerful, and has power that should be feared. It sorta sends a message, in a way, of his power, in a similar vein of how Lucifer lets very few people around him. Levi does not need them, nor their pity. He does not need their pity because he is powerful and loves to be independent, and that he is not lonely. He likes it this way–it was better for everyone, in the end.
Levi prefers it this way, anyway. Being alone. He revels in his alone time. Because, because if he doesn’t…
His eyes darts back to the twins. He watches as another demon enters the conversation, and the two nameless ones give a weird handshake as a greeting. He watches as Beel and Belphie laugh and talk.
…if he doesn’t, then there would be something wrong with him. Levi is the loner, afterall, and always would be. He is the one who failed in holding normal conversations, the one who is afraid of saying the wrong thing to someone, the one who rehearses what he says, the one who struggles to even come to classes in-person, the one who can’t even do a class presentation. He is the one that everyone knows wants to be alone, and it would always be like that. They will always seem him like that, and he will always stay in his shell. Alone. A win for both parties, really.
More noises catch Levi’s attention. He moves his phone around his hands like a fidget toy as he watches his younger and much prettier brother walk into the classroom. He takes his time walking, a joyful smile on his face as he laughs and gasps at whatever someone says. His groupies follow him, and suddenly they are all taking up too much room–all laughing and squealing and enjoying themselves. They are all so happy, he thinks absentmindedly, watching a few feet away from the circle. Everyone is engaged, all participating in one way or the other.
He wonders–a tiny, minuscule part wonders–if being labeled as the loner was something he could have escaped. That maybe if he had forced himself out of his comfort-zone, if he had gone to any of the meetings for the gaming or anime club, he could be in the same situation Asmo and Beel and Belphie all found themselves in. If he had been there from the start, maybe things would have been different for him. Maybe he would find himself in a group like them.
Asmo’s fans and friends all hang off of his brother’s every word, and all react accordingly. Levi shakes his head and snaps back down to his phone. He turns it back on. What a dumb thought–what would he do, anyway? Abruptly ask them if he could join them? Levi has pride, believe it or not, and knows not to waste his time doing something dumb like that.
Besides, he’s thinking as if he has no friends, which wasn’t true at all. He has his friends in the Navy, who only ever makes the time to talk to him when he comes around every blue moon for official business; along with that, he has his online friends–who he could only really just play video games with, discuss anime, and vent about surface-level problems. Hell, he even has friends in a few different classes! Sure, they were more just like acquaintances really, where he and the other exchange pleasantries and easy small talk because their usual friend groups were separated in different classes, but–but it counts. Levi counts it, even if it’s not anything real. It needs to count for something.
His screen cracks a bit. Levi, surprised, blinks, as he stares at the cracks that were caused by his thumb pressing hard against the bottom of the screen. He sighs, and clicks it back on once more. Looks like he would need a new phone screen. Lucifer would give him a good scolding about being careful with his strength and handling phones again, he just knows it.
The warning bell goes off. He can hear it vaguely ring, and more people start to filter in. Asmo’s group all start to give goodbye hugs as many of them leave the class in order to head off to their own classroom. Asmo waves and gives his own goodbyes to his friends, drawing out the whole thing. Hell, Asmo even hops off his desk, and lingers just out the doorway as the majority of them leave.
Levi scoffs out loud. They act as if it's the end of the world; that they won’t ever be able to see each other again, or something. It’s like they all can’t live without one another, or without Asmo around with them, at the very least. It was all so dumb in Levi’s eyes. He certainly wasn’t missing out on much.
So he doesn’t envy them, not at all. Really, he doesn’t.
His eyes linger on them until most of them filter out, and the room becomes quieter. Not exactly the dead silent, but quiet enough around him and his area that he couldn’t hear anyone through his headphones. Just the way he likes it.
Asmo settles back down, going back on top of his desk and conversing with anyone left. Levi’s eyes look around the room mindlessly as he watches more friends greet each other and have a good time together. He then meets a pair of fiery green eyes staring at him.
The eye contact breaks just as soon as it begins. Levi, rightfully startled, calms a bit when he finds that it was just Satan, who had been apparently staring at him for an unknown amount of time. Why had he been staring at him? But his eyes were back on his book and he acted as if nothing happened. Levi supposes that he should do the same.
But he stares at his younger brother for a few more beats. He watches as Satan reads his book, sitting in his chosen desk, close to the wall and just about in the middle of the rows, not too far from Levi’s own desk. Levi watches as he basks in the silence; although his headphones work well, it mainly comes from the fact that no one is sitting around the fifth-born. He is alone, with all desks around him left empty and untouched. It forms a space of silence around him, where he is able to read his book in peace. He looks…Levi is unable to place the look he sees on Satan’s face. He isn’t sure how to read it.
More people take their places. Levi faintly registers Satan’s scowl as others sit next to him in order to talk to one another and act as if he isn’t there. The last few of the students enter the classroom, taking up the seats that were left open. They all talk over one another, making Levi grateful for his headphones. A group of friends took the open seats around Levi, and Levi pretends not to care as they are loud and have fun around him while he stares down at his desk. Having normies like that so close to him was…
It hurt, in a weird way. Which Levi hates, because he refuses to be seen as the loser in this situation. Well, he almost always was during most times, he could own up to that, but not a loser for not having a loud and annoying and obnoxious squad around him. He does not envy them, not at all–if he did, then it was just his Sin acting up. It happens to all of them–Satan’s Wrath made him angrier than most, Lucifer’s Pride made him a prick, and sometimes Levi’s envy made it hard to be around others who had something he didn’t have.
Levi didn’t want what they all have; he didn’t want to have people around him to talk to about the things he enjoys, to go out with to all the anime cafés, to laugh and have fun with. He was fine being alone. He tells himself that time and time again because it was true and it’s as simple as that.
In truth, he just wants to rid his Envy. Or, perhaps, just simply be able to handle the small amount of heartache he feels every time he sees his brothers with their friends. He wishes for, maybe, a stronger heart that wouldn’t break at the thought of being alone after school and when he went home and when he would go back to R.A.D. the following day, week, year. He doesn’t know if he can stand it for that long.
But he will. Because there is nothing wrong, and Levi knows and accepts this. This is just the way things were, set up all by him. He’s the one who asked for his, to be left alone and not around anyone, and he was given what he asked for. He couldn’t possibly complain about it now, not after seeing how annoying everyone else and their friends were. He is happy where he stands.
If he wasn’t, Levi thinks to himself as class starts, then something inside of him was wrong. Wrong, and incredibly broken.

okok sorry if this is too specific, but i’ve been having SO much brainrot about this lately. so i have this blanket, and i’ve literally slept with it since i was born. i have to keep it with me at night or else i get no rest whatsoever lol. it’s honestly my most prized possession. i’ve cried into it when i’m sad, i’ve brought it on vacations, and it always calms me down. to further illustrate just how important this blanket is to me, one time my mom suggested that i get a new blanket and i literally cried at the thought of getting rid of it.
HHH anyway, i was wondering if you could do some hcs of the bros with an MC who has a comfort object that’s really precious to them. maybe they have a bad day and MC gives them the comfort object as a way of saying “i love you, i trust you completely and i want you to feel better.” if you don’t want to do all the brothers, just beel would be great :3 (again sorry if this is too specific but i love your writing sm)
Hello nostalgia is that you??? Anon you pulled a core memory from my brain I totally forgot about!!! I used to have a comfort blanket when I was little also??? And a stuffed cat that I could NOT sleep without, both of them are at my moms house now and I deeply miss them sometimes :( ANYWAY this was so cute I had to do something for it immediately!!! I chose three brothers who I felt would need a comfort item themselves lmao I hope this is what you wanted 💖💖
❤️MC with a comfort item + sharing it with the brothers (Beel, Mammon, Levi)❤️
BEELZEBUB
Beel is typically one of the happiest brothers, it’s rare to find him upset, but sometimes he has trouble sleeping at night. Many times he’s come to you looking for comfort after a bad nightmare or just someone to hang out with until he can fall asleep again.
• The low grumble of his stomach woke Beel from his slumber. It had been a rough night, tossing and turning for the majority of it, finally falling asleep about three hours before his alarm was supposed to go off. The sixth born sat up and pulled off his covers only to find your blanket covering his lap, in a panic he searched his bed to see if you were being crushed underneath him. He later found you in your room and returned the blanket.
“I’m not sure how this ended up with me but I know you need it, sorry I had it somehow…” He apologized.
“Oh! I gave it to you last night, I was passing by to get a glass of water and heard you having another nightmare. I decided you needed it more than me so I covered you with it!” You replied.
Beel’s heart fluttered, the fact that you would give him your blanket just so he could sleep better meant the world to him. He would make sure to repay you in the future.
MAMMON
Mammon does his best (or so he thinks) to stay out of trouble, however he still finds himself in one of Lucifer’s punishments at least twice a week. He likes to act tough and pretend they don’t bother him, but deep down they’re starting to chip away at him.
• Another failed money scheme and another painful punishment over with, Mammon sat on the floor of your room sulking. You could tell with each punishment he went through a little more of his spirit would break, this one had been particularly rough to the point where Mammon wasn’t even complaining like he normally did. Instead, he sat on the floor next to your bed with his knees tucked into his chest and a pout on his face. You tried talking to him but he just shrugged you off, so you did the only other thing you could think of.
“What’s this?”
“It’s my blanket!”
“Well yeah I know that! I meant why are ya givin it to me?” The second born held your blanket in his hands and gave you a puzzled look.
“When I feel bad or if I need to cry, my blanket usually makes me feel better, even if it’s just crying into it.” You answered with a meek smile. “I thought maybe you could hold onto it for a while and it might make you feel better.”
“The Great Mammon don’t need a blanket to feel better!” He stated as he pulled your blanket in close to his chest. It smelled just like you, and you always made him feel safe. “But I’ll hold it if it makes you feel better.” Tears were already forming in the corner of his eyes.
LEVIATHAN
Levi’s social anxiety is known throughout the Devildom, his brothers are well aware and will do their best to look out for him. Sometimes they get sidetracked though and Leviathan is left to his own devices.
• It’s just a small get together! It won’t last more than an hour! It’ll be over before you know it! We’ll be here the whole time to help you! Those were the lies his brothers had fed him over four hours ago before their home was filled with fifty plus demons. Now he was alone in a sea of people he didn’t even know and his brothers were nowhere to be seen. The walls felt like they were closing in, Levi could feel a panic attack coming on, but there was nowhere safe to go. He wanted to retreat to his room but the path was blocked with dozens of demons mingling. He didn’t care anymore, he wanted to be alone, he hated this! Levi made a dash for his room, once there he dropped to the floor in tears. Why did his brothers always insist on things like this? Why would they leave him alone like that? As he cradled his head in his hands, Levi felt something touch his shoulders, he jumped slightly only to find you kneeling next to him.
“W-what are you doing?” He looked at his shoulders and saw your blanket draped over him.
“I knew you were getting anxious so I went to go find this for you, but by the time I got back you had vanished. I figured I would find you here though.” You smiled at him.
Levi knew how much this blanket meant to you, you had mentioned before about your comfort blanket, he always considered getting one himself. Knowing you would give him your blanket at a time like this made him feel better already, you really were his true friend.

how are u so good at writing . reveal ur secrets pls . but seriously, what advice would u give ??
HAGDFKJSHDF this is so kind :( to be rly honest, i personally don't have the best relationship with my own writing (as a lot of writers in all realness) so i cant say im rly confident in any advice 😭 but idk hopefully these might help u improve at least—which is always the main goal anyway
i have some advice on writing fics here
and i have advice on writing smut here if u write nsfw
and some more below the cut:
over all i would say that reading all types of media can really help you find a voice in writing—poetry can help you make better metaphors and have a more "deep" / "meaningful" writing voice, reading novels can help you develop an ability to tell stories and build a detailed world, etc. but yeah u can read fanfic, articles, journals, poems, books, wtv u read rly can help u pick up not just ways to develop writing voices, but also you can just learn about the world u know ?? i been reading a few articles about the royal family in the news and its taught a lot about how the inner works of royalty is set up—things that u don't rly take the time to care to know, but in my head as i was reading it i was like omg if i ever wrote a royal au this would be so useful 💀 so yeah, very basic tip, but reading is always number one advice. and again, dont limit urself to one type of writing !! writing is so vast, u can pick up something from any genre of it
also have a certain position / place / set up when u write. i know it sounds kind of dumb at first like okay whats the difference between if i write at my desk vs at my couch but its big !! for me at least. i find that if i try to write anywhere else besides by desk im just more easily distracted and then it cuts my train of thought and my sentences come out choppy and then my flow is ruined. theres actually a big difference in my writing based on location. and having a playlist helps !! whether its of songs with lyrics that inspire you (such as sad songs for angst, romantic ones for something more intimate, etc.) or just plain classical music. classical music has been a game changer for me. (don't ask me for recs i couldn't name a single song or artist if u held a gun to my head LMAONSDFG i just search random spotify playlists)
as far as writing goes, i think its important to start writing when u have a vague ending in mind—you don't always have to have the middle parts figured out, but having an ending can help guide u as u write and pick up momentum and figure out more things to say what the middle part will be to get u to that ending. i almost never write anything without an ending in mind. sometimes its one line and sometimes its an idea / concept of an event that will happen. but yeah an ending can rly help u figure out how to structure a fic !!
figuring out if ur stronger in dialogue vs the commentary portion of writing (for lack of better words LMAO but yall know what i mean—i hope) can also help u !! i think im a bit more dialogue suited as a writer, so a lot of the things i wanna convey, like a character's feelings and thoughts, are shown thru dialogue more often. if u focus more on what ur good at, the other things will kind of come on their own so u can continue—like when i say something thru dialogue that needs some context, the next paragraph might be some background on the character that explains it. which is just basic writing i know skjdhfjgdf but sometimes i just write out like a full convo of dialogue nonstop and go back and actually add the "meat" in between to it afterward. and that's bc the dialogue comes easy to me u know ?? and the commentary / story building in between doesn't, so focusing on one forces me to have to incorporate the other and by then i've somewhat figured out what to write by then. << this method can also rly help u improve ur dialogue too tho if u struggle on that bc seeing a convo just non stop without any background info in between to break it can give u an idea of how it sounds and what the dynamic between two characters is.
also to help with dialogue u can have a convo with yourself out loud 😭 i know that sounds dumb and weird BUT TRUST ME IT RLY HELPS KSHDGDF SOBSOB sometimes u just gotta talk to urself to have a convo flow !! and that way u can also really hear the words and know if they're a bit cheesy or cringe (we have all wrote a cringey dialogue here and there, no shame in it LMAO) but yeah 😭 talking to urself helps
i always suggest breaking things up into scenes that build into a plot. if ur having issues connecting parts of a story, just break it up into scenes. like my shin fic, if u read it (u don't have to for the example dw) but it was like literally like this in my drafts: shin and reader in shop, shin gets upset. shin and reader at home, slight confrontation / sex. shin + waka convo. shin hospital. KJASHGEHF (this sounds so dumb out of context LMAO) but yeah if u do that and then individually write those scenes out, its rly not much different than like maybe writing a drabble, which is far more manageable. and then u can connect them, and boom u have a full length fic !! but yeah that's something that helps me since im still developing my skills to write longer works
also rly discussing characters with friends, reading up on their information, and staying open to discussions that analyze characters is rly important !! we all have our own takes of a character so its okay if they're not always aligning with urs, but sometimes they can help u rly figure out a character and what u feel is their back story and the focal point of who they are—and the more u understand a character, the more describing them and portraying them will be easier. and trust me when u rly feel like u understand a character, the words don't stop, either when ur giving them dialogue or when ur just giving extra back story / commentary.
so yeah that was a bit rambly skhsd im rly sorry about that but i hope that helps a bit !! tysm for the kind ask and it rly did mean a lot to me <3 good luck on ur writing !!
