DP X DC WRITING PROMPT #2
(Well this is surprising. Not really sure if this idea will make any sense, but here we go.)
(#) = Notes at the end of post
(*) = Just me building off of other ideas
Danny, as Ghost King, gets summoned by the Legion of Doom(?) to help end the Justice League. Except for this summoning fic, they literally summon him off of a GIW lab table where he was being experimented on. Danny is bleeding, barely conscious, and having a really horrible time. This garners a split reaction. Some villains, while surprised, are indifferent. Others are horrified. Not really sure which villains would be which except maybe Lex Luthor(1).
When Danny gets patched up, Lex learns later on that day that he's one of the people responsible for helping pass the Anti-Ecto Acts. However, he only helped passed it to get the people who kept sending it to finally desist, thinking it was all a hoax/big joke and that it wouldn't really matter in the long run. Now he knows it wasn't just a big joke and now that he sees the results of that decision, he regrets it.
While the Legion of Doom isn't short on medical supplies, it's not a great environment for healing, villain or not. Plus, he's kinda useless for the reason he was summoned if he's this seriously wounded. So, he does something he's never done before. He tips off the Justice League about the injured teenage monarch and skedaddles back home and out of the way where he can also start figuring out a way to take down the Anti-Ecto Acts.
Meanwhile, Team Phantom (Sam, Tucker, Jazz, and Valerie. Maybe Wes too for extra humor? 👀) finally have a lock on Danny's location now that he's no longer in a GIW facility--they have ecto-signature blocking technology. They all suit up and get there way before the Justice League and have already taken out the villains still in the LoD HQ by the time they show up and are in the process of trying to transport Danny. The League are a combination of surprised, impressed, and concerned. They invite Team Phantom back to the Watchtower so they can help treat Phantom's injuries.
It's here that the League learns about the Anti-Ecto Acts and what had happened to Phantom to put him in such serious condition. Outraged, a team is organized to hit any GIW facilities and free any citizens of the Infinite Realms while Batman and a few others stay behind to help dismantle the Acts. Team Phantom manage to get the League to agree to have at least one of them on each team they send out, since they have more experience dealing with the GIW and ghosts alike.
With the combination of the League and Lex Luther (unknown to them), the Anti-Ecto Acts are dismantled and the captured ghosts are freed and Danny is all healed up, though still traumatized. His friends help him deal with it--Jazz plus Black Canary are especially invaluable in his psychological healing process. Meanwhile, the JL are incredibly impressed with how knowledgeable and well-trained they are for having no mentors to teach them. Even more so once they hear all the battles they've fought along side Phantom.
The JL come to a decision. They invite all of Team Phantom to join Justice League Dark, the JL subdivision for magic/the occult. After talking it over, they all agree to join.
Thats where it ends unless you wanna continue it from there.
Notes:
(1) Which villains do you think would be sympathetic to Danny's condition? I don't know any of them well enough to pick. Do you think Lex Luther would actually feel sympathy for Danny? Small redemption arc? Do him and Danny meet again at some point on somewhat good terms?
(*) Maybe continue it with reactions from the Team from Young Justice? Maybe they're upset that some out of town teenagers got a JL invitation before they even got theirs? In response the JL have Team Phantom meet and train with Team YJ to get them to realize why exactly they were invited to join.

Additional Sham-Goji (heh) thoughts I didn't include in yesterdays ask that I either forgot to mention or came up with afterwards.
I feel like Mothra definitely knows that Godzilla's putting up this front, but doesn't call it out because she also thinks that it's needed (for the time being). I have additional thoughts on her that I can go way more in depth on (if you'd like to hear them), but the short and simple version of those is that despite Monarch being the figurehead of the Coexistence campaign, Mothra's been doing by far the most heavy lifting to make it happen and believes that in order for both humanity and the Titans to survive- they need to learn to coexist ASAP. So much so that she's been tunnel-visioning on it since she convinced Godzilla to send Rodan to Castle Bravo (another one of my HCs, she pulled Goji's tail and was a major factor in getting Rodan sent there). Basically, Godzilla acting all kingly and desperate to live up to the humans' expectations is useful to her because she wants the same thing. She doesn't realize it may be tearing him up a little bit because A. he's good at hiding it and B. she's too busy trying to woo the humans to notice. Again, there's a lot more to this theory I can discuss later.
Kong I feel would be a very interesting character to see interact with this Godzilla, reason being is that he's sorta outside and isolated from the main kaiju world and culture. We've seen some consequences of this from him being a virgin- but I feel like having never interacted with any Titans off Skull Island would make him very different than say, Rodan- who grew up surrounded by Titans. For this case, he wouldn't have many- if any (bars) preconceived notions about Godzilla, compounded against be very observant as an Ape (cue callback to the 'weakspots' discussion). I expect it'd take one feigned nicety from Godzilla or a day of being around him for Kong to just go, "Drop the act dude, you aren't fooling anyone". Sorta like Rodan- but Rodan wouldn't do that because A. Godzilla would immediately reply with a snide comment about Rodan's own front (MAD type beat) and B. He knows it's kind of a sore spot for him and does it out of insecurity. Kong would have neither of these qualms and get on his case whenever his bullshit detector goes off. I can see Goji either getting really annoyed at this or actually starting to just be himself around Kong because he knows lying won't work on him anyways- so might as well just act candidly; and having someone he can always be candid around ends up being a path to healing for him.
(Apologies to everyone sending in asks for the long wait between answers, I'm juggling multiple things at once!)
Definitely something to consider for Mothra next time... and yes, I'm always eager for analysis. Also, I do like how Kong would be the type to not buy into any posturing for the sake of hiding one's real feelings, he's just like "stop being stupid and say what you mean."

@kristinakyidyl reblogged your post “If Alicent haven't given birth to a daughter for...”
Tbh I don’t think Alicent was wrong about marrying Rhaenyra and Aegon. It would have solved a lot of problems. Viserys said it was because they were 10 years apart and didn’t like each other, but he obviously wasn’t above making her marry someone she didn’t want to marry, and late 20s is certainly not too late to have kids even in westeros. I know it was to heal the rift with house Velaryon, but certainly sending Daemon to help Corlys with his little freeloader problem and then the royal marriage that ensued didn’t hurt relations between their houses. A promise to wed Aemond to Daemon and Laena’s potential kids could have also helped with the rift. It always just kind of seemed short sighted on Viserys’s part to me.
I’m not sure it’s quite so simple. After all, Viserys also seems to have concluded that, in his words, “‘[t]he boy is Alicent’s own blood … [s]he wants him on the throne’”. Of course, Alicent did want to see her son on the Iron Throne (not illogically, from either a political or a personal perspective), and I could see where such a marriage might have raised significant questions about the division of power between the spouses. Who would hold the authority in the relationship - Rhaenyra, Aegon, or the two of them jointly (an even more pressing question for the Targaryens, who to that point had precedent for the latter two options but not the former)? If Aegon proceeded to sit the Iron Throne, would he have been seen to emulate Rhaenys and Visenya (who ruled the realm from the Iron Throne in their brother-husband’s absence) or his predecessor kings (who sat the Iron Throne as full executives)? Would Aegon and Rhaenyra both wear kingly crowns (as they did IOTL, albeit as rival monarchs, with Aegon having the Conqueror’s crown and Rhaenyra the crown of Jaehaerys I), and if so, what might that action imply about the nature of their respective positions? Would Aegon and Rhaenyra both sit on the small council, and if so, what role would they each take there? You can absolutely believe that Rhaenyra’s faction would want Rhaenyra as the sole monarch, while the green faction would press for Aegon to rule as a nominally joint but in practice sole monarch (blurring the line between a jure uxoris inheritance, a la Tyrek Lannister or Bronn with Lollys Stokeworth, and Aegon’s rights as the senior legitimate male descendant of Viserys I). This marriage, in other words, wouldn’t necessarily stop the Dance, it would just change the nature of the Dance from an all-out civil war to a court war (which could in turn evolve into a civil war).
And of course, as noted, such a marriage wouldn’t help Velaryon-Targaryen relations at all. By Velaryon reckoning, they now would’ve been snubbed no fewer than three times: at the death of Prince Aemon (when Jaehaerys I skipped over Princess Rhaenys and/or her unborn child for Prince Baelon), at the Great Council of 101 AC (when Jaehaerys, following the votes of the assembled lords, proclaimed Prince Viserys his heir), and in 105 AC (when now-King Viserys refused to marry Laena in favor of Alicent Hightower). The Velaryons of this era believe, not without some reason, that the throne is rightfully theirs, and if they were willing IOTL to make a play for the throne via that proposed Laena-Viserys marriage (and then the actual Laenor-Rhaenyra marriage), they would not likely meekly accept the king’s younger brother and the king’s second son as marriage matches. Indeed, this latest snub might only motivate the Velaryons to renew their insistence that the throne belonged to Laenor (with, perhaps, the idea that Daemon and Laena’s children would be his heirs presumptive), so perhaps turning the Dance from a greens vs. blacks conflict (although again, that could still be an element) to a Targaryen vs. Velaryon conflict

Hi. I hope you don't mind me asking a question here. First thing first I haven't watched much of s5, mainly because I'm still having burn out from the whole episodes in s4. But I have seen people posting pictures of Adrien using cataclysm very... Murder happy, which is something that I don't think he ever do before, unless I forgot any episode.
Before, whenever he's frustrated his object on leashing out is never an Akumatized person, it's always be an inanimate object (tree/ads box, chimney and billboard) but in this season, he seems to be losing his patient more and more, the scene in Jubilation is the freshest I can remember how close he was in cataclysmed Dark Owl and apparently he almost did that too in Derision.
My question is, is there a reason behind this behavior? I mean, it feels like out of character of him to do that considering Adrien is always patient and empatetic kind of person that I'm sure if people just telling me without showing the clip of the episodes, I would think theyre joking. Its always sad to see such kind and sweet character to turn like this.
I'm sorry if I'm rambling too much!
Hey! No worries! I'm sure you are not the only one finding this weird. You are right in saying than before S5, it wasn't like Chat to willingly use Cataclysm on an individual. Aside of Sentis or him being controlled by an akumatized power, or as seen during Chat Blanc, the NY special, Destruction which fall under that category of being accidental.
So what indeed did change or happened to him to the point he can be triggered and having his emotions taking over the best of him?
Tbh, I myself even is sure if I have the correct theory there.
The common element in both Jubilation and Derision is Chat Noir violently reacting when someone plays with the emotions of a person he deeply cares about.
After all, Darker Owl played with both LB and CN's emotions with the power of the Pig and trapping them in a dream fantasy where they were in love, married and had a family while Kim played with Marinette's emotions to the point the impact of that cruel prank have deeply traumatized her.
The dialog at the end of Derision between Marinette and Adrien seems to indicate Marinette isn't the only one with trauma that needs to be healed.
Adrien : I'm scared too. It's new for me, so I don't know how to react. I'm scared of doing something wrong, of hurting you, of someone else hurting you. I'm especially scared of losing you. But we are together and we will do everything to help each other out. Like that, you and me, maybe we will become less scared?
Part of his line refers to what Ladybug told him earlier.
CN : Me too, I got carried away by my emotions. LB : Don't worry. It can happen to anyone. That's why we are a team. There is always one of us to help the other out.
And even though he didn't use Cataclysm, Mister Bug's reaction at the end of Passion was too filled with rage.
Mister Bug : Forcing such a fragile person to carry out his twisted plans. Monarch is a monster! He'll pay for this...
Not only that, but Adrien was tempted to use the Wish to heal Nathalie. Something associated to the Bad Guy side.
So, yeah, that is my best guess right now. Adrien has trauma too, but we have yet to see what exactly caused it but we can suppose it is most probably in link to his mother's demise.
So, Adrien can be violent in reaction when seeing the people he deeply cares are being hurt.
EDIT : I've forgot! Chat Noir did almost Cataclysm Hawkmoth during Chat Blanc timeline after learning the truth but stopped, wanting answers.

So, Phil and Techno, or more how Wilbur and Tommy feel about them. The thing is, it’s becoming increasingly obvious to them that ranboo can’t and never should have been trusted. He has one goal and it’s proving himself via spying. But Phil and Techno are slightly different.
We also have to take into account that while Wilbur has had trust issues since the invasion which recently started getting better and has now reawakened (creating a confusing mess of emotions and thoughts), Tommy didn’t really develop trust issues because he pins all the blame on Eret (in an attempt to keep it of Tubbo) and thus doesn’t see everyone as an enemy, Tommy sort of started healing a little (mostly because he has really coping mechanisms), but now that they (and mostly Tommy) have been betrayed again, Tommy is developing the trust issues. It’s a delayed trauma response and being betrayed again triggers everything which was previously there but hidden.
So now Tommy is the ‘paranoid’ one, thinking they can’t trust anyone, while Wilbur feels like maybe Phil and Techno can be trusted. But, at the same time, the trust issues he was only just starting to work through are acting up too to the point of not trusting Jack. Which is where the unreliable narrator gets really fun. Because I am convinced that Jack is genuine and fully willing to die on that hill, but Wilbur is questioning everything he sees.
This is interesting in comparison to Phil, where Wilbur is sort of still subconsciously trusting him even while continuously lying to him until Phil says [“You’ll have plenty of time to think it over once the negotiations are settled.”] and suddenly Wilbur sees everything as a threat. And at first, I wasn’t sure why this caused a drastic shift, but Wilbur explains later in the chapter that he took it as an implication that Phil is certain that will join. Which, yea, that would cause more dread when they still aren’t sure if they want to join but don’t really have any other options.
(1/2)
-🎄
yeah, this whole situation makes it REALLY interesting to analyze the difference with the way the brothers are able to trust others. because wilbur's had trust issues this entire time. they finally started to improve, but now they've been reawakened. tommy, however, is the most obvious case now. because unlike wilbur, tommy never had a reason to distrust others growing up. he was beloved by everyone in the palace. he was never insulted or treated as lesser like wilbur. so he trusted everyone!
the first time he's really, truly betrayed is by eret and tubbo. but he doesn't want to blame tubbo, because tubbo was the person he was closest to in the world besides wilbur. he was tommy's rock, so he can barely stomach the idea of tubbo betraying him. he shoves it onto eret instead because it's easier
(and, tbh, it's kind of right? tubbo really didn't have much of a choice with what he did. keep in mind, he was a servant technically. eret was the reigning monarch and told tubbo he had to play his role in the invasion, promising that it would help keep tommy and wilbur safe—since that's what they also believed. tubbo really isn't at much fault for what happened. keep in mind, he's the same age as tommy. he's just a kid too.)
besides the point.
now that tommy has been betrayed again, the real trust issues start rearing their heads. it definitely ties into his trauma response. he was managing things alright, but now his trauma has been triggered again, and he can't just push it aside like he did before. emotionally, he's right back in that crawlspace. so he's now the paranoid one, while wilbur has actually been working through his trust issues this whole time, so he's able to see a bit more reason than tommy can. except, not really, because then there's jack.
unreliable narrator my beloved <3
yeah, phil implying that he's certain the negotiations are gonna go his way really messes with wilbur's head because he's struggling to question if any of the past few months have been real, or was it all in the name of aeduo getting eldingvegr. he just doesn't know. also, he's going through a lot mentally, so he's not exactly having the most stable of reactions to stuff. he's also emotionally back in that crawlspace, but he's been dealing with that fight or flight kind of terror for a while now, so he's just navigating it a bit better than tommy is. doesn't mean it's not there.

Too Little Too Late Chapter 2
Pairings: Ienzo/Reader
Summary: You're the local Potion Master and Enchanter for Radiant Garden, after meeting and getting to know one of the local scientists, you've managed to fall head over heals for him. Little did you know your love for him would be your downfall, as an illness takes a hold of you causing you to cough up lilac petals. You could easily cure it by telling Ienzo how you feel, but you can't help but notice the new face around Radiant Garden and he seems very close to Ienzo.
Rating: G but its got some swearing.
A/N: I think these chapters are just going to be short, but I’m okay with that. I had a lot of this fic written out for a long time so it shouldn’t take me too long to edit and post them.
----------------------------------
A few days later you noticed that Ienzo was out. He was in casual clothes for once, he was wearing some clothes you helped him pick out. you were about to go over and say hello, but Myde had ran up and wrapped his arms around his neck and Ienzo had almost dropped what he was holding. He looked up at Myde and said something obviously pouting, but Myde took his hand and Ienzo smiled. You were sure of it now, they were totally together. You hid behind one of the fountains watching the two now feeling a bit too shy to approach them.
They talked and laughed a lot, Ienzo seemed so genuine and happy with this guy, your heart hurt, but you also couldn’t help the happiness you felt seeing Ienzo so happy with another person like this. You’ve mainly seen Ienzo with the others like Sora, Riku, Kairi and a few others a little younger than the two of you.
You felt bad for basically stalking them, but you didn’t want to intrude on what could be a date.
You started to feel that familiar tickle in your throat, it felt worse somehow, and as soon as you started your cough, you rushed back to your shop and ran up to your home above the shop to ride out the fit. This time there was a different taste that came with it, down in your hand were flower petals, and blood.
What was happening? Why were you having these coughing fits? What could you do?
The coughing fits had been happening more often lately and, unfortunately they seemed to be getting worse as time went on. You had managed to find a potion that would make it easier, and you tried to take it as soon as that familiar tickle would catch in your throat. You looked through all of your books about ailments, but you couldn’t find anything. Finally, you gave in and accepted that you would need help with this one. You went to Merlin.
-----------------------------------
When you lifted up a hand to knock on his door, it swung open, there he stood, “I heard you coming.”
“Oh? Are my thoughts too loud?” you joked.
“Yes actually,” your smiled immediately faltered. “Don’t worry I don’t know what you’re actually thinking.”
“Right.”
“So what exactly has you coming by with such heavy thoughts?” he allowed you inside and closed the door.
You sighed, “I have a client that’s been coughing up flower petals.” You were too nervous to admit that it was you suffering with this. “I made them a potion to make the coughing spells less horrible, but, even now there is blood coming up with the flowers.”
When you looked back up Merlin was frowning, “that’s very unfortunate.” As he spoke he sounded so sad. “I have heard of this disease before. The outcome is rather fatal.”
What? “Fatal?!” you gasped, “What is it?!”
“It’s called the Hanahaki disease,” He wasn’t one to talk in such a somber tone, there had to be a cure, or something to slow it down. “It’s an old disease, it’s a lot more common in worlds where there are monarchs, and arranged marriages.”
“What do you mean? What does this disease have to do with those concepts?” you asked, “Where does it come from? I’ve never heard of it.”
“The disease is caused by a deep longing love, it usually occurs when someone is in love with another and can’t act on it, for whatever reason,” Merlin took off his glasses and started to clean his glasses, “I have a book with a passage on it.” He started to rummage through his shelves.
“I-is there a cure?” you asked, anxiety was building up in your stomach, you couldn’t believe that your love for Ienzo was causing you such pain.
“There is...”
“Why do you say it like that?” your breathing was starting to pick up, “what does it do?”
He pulled out a book and handed it to you, “The cure is in this book with more information on it.” You took the book from his hands and looked over the cover, it was a very worn. “The cure will destroy the flower growing within the lungs of the person it affects, but at a great cost.”
You hated to ask, but you needed to know, “What is that cost?”
“The love for that person will disappear, at the least, at the most, some never loved again,” He crossed his arms, “Some even forget the person they love completely, it would then open their heart to darkness, and they would perish from that alone.”
“Is it even worth it?” You asked, more to yourself.
“That’s the question that needs to be asked before considering the cure,” he added, “I believe there is a potion to calm down the symptoms and give the affected person more time, but, unfortunately, they will still have a premature death.”
“Oh,” was all you could bring yourself to say. You both stood in silence as you found the page in the book you pulled the ribbon attached to the book and marked the page. “Thank you for your time, Merlin.”
“Out of curiosity, what are flower that this person coughs up?” Merlin asked as he pulled out a book of flowers and their meanings.
“Oh, Lilacs, mostly magenta, but sometimes there is a white and blue,” You recalled, rubbing at the bridge of your nose, “Does that information matter?”
“It usually symbolizes what kind of love is represented in the heart of the affected person,” Merlin flipped through the pages, you waited impatiently as he found what he was looking for. “Ah, such a beautiful love that one is, Magenta lilac means passionate love, white lilacs mean pure and innocence, while the blue is for happiness and tranquility.”
“So, that would make it harder for the person who has it to make the decision if they want to let go of that or not,” you added in.
“Precisely,” he nodded gravely, he stepped forward and placed a hand on your shoulder, that look, he knows it’s you. “The only other cure is for the affected person to tell the one they love of their affection, and if their love is not returned I’m afraid the only other option is the cure at that point.”
“Cool.” You frowned deeper.
“Is it Ienzo?” He asked, pity clear in his eyes. Of course he would know it was you.
“How could you tell?” you tried to joke.
“My suggestion to you, is to talk with him,” he gave you a sad smile and backed away.
“I want to, but he’s with someone else,” you tried to laugh, but you were so scared. You hands shook as you gripped the book in your hand. “I should go home.”
“Take care, I hope the book helps you,” He gave you a smile and watched you as you left his home. “And make sure to double check everything.” Your whole walk home you felt your head spinning with all of this new information, what were you supposed to do? It normally would take you 10 minutes to get home, but it felt like you had teleported to your front door.
You walked in and immediately closed the blinds and turned the lights off, you were not going to be able to keep the shop open today. You made a sign to say you weren’t feeling well, and stuck it to the door. You then walked up the stairs into your home, and settled down with the book.

Lordless: In Search of an Old Friend
The sound of his Night’s Cavalry conversing and enjoying food and drink before their shift could be heard through the wooden door.
The Stablemaster, Djura, had kindly pointed Morgott in the direction Boros had gone and now the omen stood apprehensive before the door to the dining hall.
He debated going back to his chambers, but that presented its own hurdle.
Knight Fenris.
He wasn’t sure how to handle the bloodhound knight, what did she see in him that made him worthy of servitude. She wasn’t even aware of his true name and title and yet…
Fenris and Boros both seemed to care not about his cursed blood, about the shameful stain his existence was to Marika’s line.
His first instinct upon seeing Fenris in agony and wrapped in chains was to try and ease her suffering, to heal when it would have been far swifter to strike her down before she could become a threat. He would not strike down one loyal to him, not when that loyalty was so rare for one like him.
And Boros’ plan, slow in progress though it was, had already began to benefit the capital. Though he would stand his ground about the argument, grounds and reasoning that was growing shakier by the day, he hadn’t meant to snap at Boros.
As he searched, he had trouble breathing, the stumps of his cut off horns ached, and he was one confrontation away from the seal on his cursed blood breaking, his worry grew. Fenris needed to be freed from her curse, something needed to be done about the scattered Great Runes tarnished, and he still had his duties towards The Erdtree the people.
His grip on his staff tightened as he pushed the door open and scanned the room for any sign of his advisor.
Someone cleared their throat to his left and he turned to see Boros seated with Spymaster Eileen and her comrades.
“Sir Boros—"Morgott began but the crucible knight turned around in his seat to face him and held up a hand to tell him to wait.
“How is she?” Boros asked seriously as he rested his hands in his lap.
“Recovering,” Morgott replied and Boros breathed a sigh of relief. “Knight Fenris has quelled the curse for the moment, and I have instructed her to rest.”
“Then we need to find a way to break it soon…” Boros commented and stiffly added. “We can talk about what happened before later.”
“Agreed,” Morgott replied and addressed the spymaster. “Eileen, are there any matters that need my immediate attention?”
He would need time to sift through the older records The Order had on wolfborn, while it wasn’t uncommon for him to be dedicated to a task for weeks at a time, he did so with the knowledge that Eileen and other trusted staff would run things.
“Ofnir’s men have been spotted in Liurnia,” Eillen informed him. “Targeting albinaurics, we think there’s something in their village he’s after.”
“And none in Liurnia have moved against them?” Morgott asked.
At Eileen’s reply, a shake of the head, he frowned. Liurnia was not in the same sorry state as Limgrave but it was a far cry from its peak and Morgott doubted the scholars of the academy or the Carian royals could spare the time or manpower to drive off Gideon’s men.
In truth, Leyndell’s own forces were stretched thin, and he still had to contend with the nobility and matters of court if he, with his Veiled Monarch illusion, were to send out more than only a handful of men.
But the night’s cavalry were more than suited to the task, and he had complete freedom over how the cavalry was used.
“Send a request to the Healers Guild for a perfumer, and decide amongst thyselves who should go with them to root out Ofnir;s spies,” Morgott stated. “I trust thou all know how to handle those who are inquisitive?”
“Oh we know well,” Eileen replied with a smile that was a bit too sharp. “Henryk already volunteered, and I know a perfumer that’ll be up to the job.”
He raised a brow at her. “Another old friend of thine?”
Eileen’s smile turned genuine. “Aye, a fair of my old friends followed me over ‘ere when I went gallivanting off in search of my granddaughter.”
Henryk snorted.
“Did you ever show her the papers?” Gascoigne asked Eileen amusedly and the spymaster nodded.
“Be a fool not to, might not be mine by blood, but after the hell she went through…well I couldn’t just do nothin’, could I?” Eileen replied and nodded to Morgott. “We’ll get things sorted Sir, might be best for you and Boros to keep an eye on that Hound of yours.”
“My thanks,” Morgott said and dipped his head in respect and ducked out of the dining room, the sound of Boros moving to follow not far behind.
As he took the winding path back to his quarters, the strain of the day his curse was quickly catching up with him.
But hiding the strain on his already overtaxed body was something he was used to.
“Thou art dismissed for the day,” he said quietly to the crucible knight still following his footsteps. “I shall be retiring early myself.”
“And Fenris?” Boros asked curiously.
“Shall room with me until a room can be prepared for her,” he said and waved off the concern Boros would no doubt be voicing. “Doing so will allow me to monitor her for any resurgence of her ailment.”
Ailment was the best way he could describe out in the palace halls. The full extent of Fenris’ situation was to remain between him, Boros, and the night cavalry.
“Fair enough,” Boros said, some of his usual joviality returning. “I’ll walk you back and then return to my post.”

Ponderings....
Once again I am saddened to see division happening.  This division is about the living and the dead....about Diana and Camilla/Prince Charles.  Division as to the Queen announcing her wish for Camilla to be Queen...
Diana and Charles divorced.  They were no longer married.  It ended.  Both had moved on.  Both had done damage to their marriage.  Both had affairs during their marriage.  Together they had two sons.  One to be King, one to be?  Charles was NOT a widower....he was a divorced man.
I know Diana said there were “three people in her marriage”....those words remain as strong today as when she spoke them.  The truth of this whole matter though is...no one can steal someone from someone else....one will not leave a happy marriage for anyone...or anything. Marriages break down and some may heal either their marriage....or move on and hopefully have at least a friendship because they are sharing children.
Diana and Charles were starting to move on with their lives, and it has been said...we’re friendly for the sake of their sons.  When Diana was killed, Charles went to Paris to bring her home.  Charles walked with his sons during the funeral procession.  He did what he had to do, for the sake of his boys.  I have no doubt, Diana would have done the same for him.
Camilla has taken many hits over the years for her part.  She was married, and carried on with a married Charles.  Adultery....yes, I said it.  They continued on and married...and here we are today....she will be Queen.
There are religious issues in all this as well...Charles will be Head of the Church of England.  He has committed adultery.  He was a divorced man....NOT widower as he claims.  This is not a good look for the Church.  But, I also don’t think a good look for the Church is Archbishop Welby, who was in the oil business prior to becoming a man of faith.  I am not here to judge, just saying I find it odd.  Charles being the Head of the Church of England will sort itself out.  We certainly may not like it...but we can’t control it.
The Queen.  So much being said on this.  Some believe she was bullied into this.  Personally, I think HM is quite capable of making decisions for herself.  Even the tough ones.  We have just witnessed her putting Andrew at bay.  That would not have been easy.  HM knows it was necessary, for the good of the monarchy.  There had to be distance.  He is still her son, who she will enjoy privately.  I think HM announced this for a couple of reasons.  One being, it is her wish. Two, she wanted to houseclean and put to rest this matter.
I presume that there will be Letters Patent for this, as HM will want it to be “law”.  A Letters Paten is the public proclamation by the monarch, an official communication that is older than Parliament, and over which Parliament exercises no authority......so until we see that HM has written a Letter Patent on this....we should just sit back and wait to see what happens.
Living is for the living.  Our Beloved Diana is in a much better place.  She would never have been Queen, even if she had lived.  That dream ended when she and Charles divorced.  Camilla is here to stay, she is married to Charles, who will be King.  She will be Queen.  We can’t change this.  As an anon pointed out to me, I always say “ God is in control”....that is the truth. God is in control.  God decides all.  We may not understand why things are happening as they are...but God knows why.  We can only sit back and wait, and watch.  Anything can happen, at anytime.

Dear Celta,
1. That reading on The Queen is so sad. I pray that she finds rest and peace and healing. I hope the prediction that she passes this year will not come true. It will be just so so sad, but then, we are mere mortals who really don't know anything. Yvonne Michelle on YouTube did a live reading yesterday and she said Her Majesty will still be with us for another two years. Previously, she said 3-5 years; now she said two. So. Idk.
2. Your thought about stripping the Harkles off their title ~ I agree with you, whereas previously I really wanted those titles to be taken away. I think all your arguments about this are valid. I have another reason: I think their Sussex title is so dirty now that it has ceased to have any meaning of honour anymore. So, let them continue with their titles, by now those titles are meaningless. Meghan can flaunt that Duchess title all she wants; the more she does it, the more people just laugh at her.
3. Regarding Meghan and the dark arts ~ with her extreme thirst for money and stardom, I would not have been surprised if people say she sold her soul to the devil for fame, money, and power. Yet, if she did, then why is she struggling so badly to be loved, to be idolized, to reach the top of the Hollywood heap? Those that are known to have (allegedly) done so have reached superstar status in their fields. So Idk, maybe her early Catholic education protected her from such things.
~ aran
Hi Aran,
It was a very sad reading on Her Majesty. I hope she lives for quite a few years yet. If she does pass this year, I think part of it will be due to family stress shortening her life, which is just terrible.
The Harkles have managed to sully the Sussex title. That is also sad, as the people of Sussex deserve someone better to represent them. The first (and only previous) holder of the title got into trouble for marrying without the monarch's permission, not once but twice. With both him and Harry, the second holder of the title, having trouble stemming from their choice of wives, it does make me wonder if this is a pattern that we will see repeated in the future, or merely a coincidence.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Augustus_Frederick,_Duke_of_Sussex]
I agree that Meghan shows none of the material success that one would expect from someone who practised the dark arts for their own gain. The more I think about it, the more I tend to the view of her not being a dark arts practitioner, but someone who will e.g. try to use the Law of Attraction to ensure her success, with very limited results, as we can all see.

here’s a list of the best, mediocre and worst kdramas i watched in 2020
no one asked for this but it’s happening because i have thoughts (also all opinions are my own if you disagree then get well soon i guess... no i’m kidding make your own posts about it don’t hate me please) ahsjsj anyways click to read a lengthy post and if you actually read the whole thing then thank you i hope you enjoy this wild ride!
THE BEST KDRAMAS -
mystic pop up bar - this show had everything i ask from a kdrama literally i can name it all found family (to real family), well thought out characters, a mystery plot, special effects, soft romances that were well written, a happy ending! no show in 2020 even comes close to how good this one was! the writers literally guided you throughout the whole thing so you could come up with theories and didn’t do a ‘aha! gotcha’ thing where they want to prove the audience wrong but they wanted us to be right and satisfied! the worst part about the drama is that it’s still so underrated and people just brush it off as some random fantasy show but it’s so much more than that! 1000/10
flower of evil - who doesn’t want to see lee joon gi being the son of a serial killer, living with the name of a man who is in a coma, and hiding his real identity from his wife who is a detective? this show constantly had me at the edge of my seat on a weekly basis so the emotions i went through while watching this are unparalleled! the writers also did such a good job on writing a coherent story that made sense and tied up all the plot points in the end. just a really satisfying show to watch! 10/10
where your eyes linger - i literally bought a $8 viki pass to watch this show so it should tell you everything you need to know about how i feel ahsjsj the episodes were 10 minutes long but we got a good story with well written characters who got character development in a total of 80 minutes it’s insane! honestly it’s still hard to believe this show had rookie actors because they were just so emotive that you could feel all the happiness, sadness, yearning and pining! probably one of my fave kdramas this year because of the acting that i always constantly rewatch! would recommend 10/10
crash landing on you - okay so this drama was actually released on my birthday last year and it was a time in my life when i was going through a lot so maybe it’s the comfort this show provided me through that time this is why i have such a soft spot for it? like the romance was good, it was funny, there was found family, the nk soldiers were all softies, there were strong female leads, soft male leads!!! ahh!! no other show on this list made me think about the unification of south korea and north korea irl because i wanted se ri and jeong hyeok to be together 4ever! but the only issue i had with this show was the ending they gave seung jun if they didn’t do that i’d give this show a 10/10 but just for that they get a 9/10
psycho but it’s okay - this was one of those shows where you’re literally like ‘wow everyone here needs therapy’ but this show was amazing i loved the story telling and how each episode related to children’s book/fairytales! the writers also did a good job with how carefully they talked about mental health in depth without villainising their characters but actually tried to make the audience understand why they were this way which included all the side characters too who had a well thought out story in each episode! also the dynamic between moon young, kang tae and sang tae was everything to me the actors all did an amazing job portraying their characters, it truly was a healing drama. the only thing i didn’t like about this show was the whole plastic surgery plot with the mother like that was very far fetched but it provided drama so i’ll let it slide because the rest was amazing. this show is a solid 8.5/10
18 again - another underrated gem! who would’ve thought a remake of that zac efron movie could be this good!! lee do hyun stole this show for sure the way he portrayed his character and gave heart eyes to his kids (when he’s only 25 irl was the best thing i saw this year ahsjs) i loved the family dynamics in this show, i loved how it talked about what it’s like to be young parents and how society still think it’s taboo to be divorced! it’s a show that makes you laugh and cry at the same time and that’s why everyone should watch it! however, the biggest clown thing this show did to me though was that i got sls for the first time while watching a kdrama... hwang in yeop if u’re reading this i love u and u deserved better 🤡 that aside this show was a 8/10
itaewon class - i actually didn’t watch this drama as it was airing because i thought i wouldn’t enjoy the plot but when i watched it i binged the whole thing in 2 days and my biggest regret is i didn’t watch it sooner! everyone knows i have a soft spot for park seo joon since he’s my favourite actor i’ve literally watched all his dramas like he could star in the trashiest drama out there and i’d still watch it and be like wow (looking at she was pretty 👀) this show aside from the acting had one of the best revenge plots in a kdrama! just watching a character realistically hustle his way to reach the top while fighting the corrupt man whose son killed his father was so so satisfying to watch! however, the love triangle in this show was questionable idk what they were trying to do with that but it personally annoyed me! but still i’ll give this show a 7.5/10 because i enjoyed it a lot!
do you like brahms? - kim min jae and park eun bin.. that’s all you need to know about why this is a good kdrama! i’m usually not a big fan of melodramas and everyone knows i prefer rom coms but this show was just so perfectly melo that i loved all the angst and pain we got!! also just watching two introverted people awkwardly fall in love was amazing! the characters story arcs were also handled pretty well with song ah finally learning to speak up for herself and joon young learning to express how he truly feels! but... the love square? was probably the most annoying thing the rest in my opinion was nicely done! i know people had mixed feelings about the ending but i loved that after all the pain joon young and song ah went through they got a happy ending together! 7/10
find me in your memory - okay this show started off very slow and it was confusing at the start but as it progressed everything in the plot started to fall into place! i mean this show really took opposites attract to a new level where the male lead could remember every single detail from his life but the female lead had to forget some of her traumatic memories to help her cope with her life! they were also tied together through a mutual character who was a big part of their lives in a different way! just an interesting melodrama with interesting characters i liked it! and moon ga young... i love you queen!!! 7/10
THE MEDIOCRE KDRAMAS -
more than friends - was the storytelling in this show groundbreaking? no. was the acting decent? yes. also probably the main reason i stuck with this show until the end! i think we can all agree lee soo had the best character development on this show he started off as a bad boy who wore one ear stud to actually becoming a well liked character... who else did it like him? no one. also the chemistry between the mains was 🔥 but the second male lead was so annoying is there a opposite word for second lead syndrome because i had that for sure! i think the best part about this show was the people i watched it with on here... shoutout to the five of us ahsjsj also this show introduced me to a talented actor/singer like ong seong wu (y’all know my kpop knowledge is nonexistent so no i didn’t know he was in a band called wanna one) all in all a predictable show but i had fun watching it so 6.5/10
tale of the nine tailed - i didn’t actually watch this show i watched it through gifs and instagram posts ahsjsjs so am i qualified to talk about my opinion definitely no... will I talk about it anyways yes lmao. lee rang deserved better that’s all goodbye and take care. 5.5/10
start up - probably one of the most awaited opinions. y’all thought this would be in the worst kdramas section but i decided to give this show some rights. the show started off strong, lost it’s way after episode 6 and then the last episode gave me what i wanted so i have mixed feelings. the writing was not the best i think we can all agree, love triangle as a plot device? wow so groundbreaking 🤡 the characters on the other hand... i loved every single one of them i mean ship wars? i don’t know her. the show had a lot of potential that was wasted but we also got some cute moments between the characters so there was really no winning or losing with this show? but in all honesty you can’t put a talented cast together like this and then just decide to give the audience a mediocre plot but the writers did exactly that! i think i can redirect y’all to my ‘crimes this show committed’ post for a in-depth analysis. lastly nam do san was a GOOD and REFRESHING male lead and ji pyeong was also a GOOD and FUN second male lead!!! this show gave me the ugliest ship war ever that i was transported back to my high school tvd days so thank you for that!! but the cast was loveable and all had a lot of chemistry together so here’s a 5/10 maybe that's too generous but... i think the reason why i didn't enjoy watching this show as much was definitely because of the tag on here lmao
THE WORST KDRAMAS -
the king eternal monarch - i miss clowning this show so much. the amount of braincells i lost while trying to understand this plot... i should be compensated by the writers. however, woo do hwan was a treat to look at on a weekly basis... however the writers kept decreasing his screen time even though he had a dual role... make it make sense? and i cannot comment on the plot of this show because i still don’t understand anything? also in my opinion tae eul and lee gon were the most bland couple of 2020, there was no chemistry between them and there was just a random kiss in episode 5 and they randomly said i love you... where was the development? also lee gon was soooo boring and such a one dimensional male lead! literally all the side characters were so much more interesting and the cast was good... but this plot. 2/10
do do sol sol la la sol - i wanna fight the writer who decided that the plot twist on the show would be that jun is a minor? i had no expectations from this show but it looked cute and nonsensical but that plot twist made me run the other way so fast that i never looked back! just because jun is a boy they really thought this would be excused like lmao we all have critical thinking skills???? the clown behaviour. a solid 1/10
record of youth - i hate this show so much. imagine not utilising park so dam who just starred in the biggest oscar winning movie to her full potential. imagine just making her a love interest to park bo gum’s character in the year 2020. i watched it up until episode 6 and i kept waiting for her character to get development... but it never happened so i dropped this show. also this show featured the MOST useless love triangle i have ever seen in my life like what was the point? also park bo gum’s characters family was straight up annoying (minus the grandpa) but they got so much screen time like that should’ve been given to park so dam... also villainising a gay side character for no reason at all in the year 2020? this show was a waste of my time i want the 6 hours i spent watching this back. -100/10
backstreet rookie - i watched one episode of this and literally wanted to rip my eyeballs out of my head. idk what ji chang wook was thinking when he signed this drama i think he lost his ability to read because that's the only reasonable explanation for why he chose to star in such a dumpster fire show! this show had a racist character... had a high schooler kiss an adult... sexist jokes... just the worst things you can think of in a drama... this show had it. i still can’t believe so many people watched this show to the point where it had better ratings than pbio... really made me question everyone’s taste? but sorry can’t relate my taste is excellent so here’s the rating this show actually deserves -1000/10
if you made it this far... thank you for reading. let’s continue to love some kdramas together and get clowned by others in 2021! looking forward to it 😅

The King’s precious gem...
For the sweet @marilynmonroefanfics
Hope you will enjoy this story!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Here comes King consort (Y/N) of Mirkwood!"
"This social climber? Don't even talk to me about this little nobody!"
"Quiet! If King Thranduil hears you, he will make you pay! The last one who dared disrespect his husband ended up in jail for almost 20 years. Luckily for him, (Y/N) pardoned him. Besides, the people loved him!"
(Y/N) did not care about those gossips on his trail: he knew he deserved his place next to the king. What a long way since he was only a healer!
The young elf can heal since his younger days. Noticed for his gifts, he succeeded in working at the royal court. However, he did not expect to be the friend and confidant of Prince Legolas.
The two young men fought together against the Orcs or any enemy of their kingdom.
One day, (Y/N) managed to save the life of Legolas when the latter fell ill. Worried about his son's safety, King Thranduil hired the best healers of his kingdom to treat him. Only (Y/N) managed to heal the young prince.
Grateful, the monarch allowed him to stay in the court. Then, he started to get interested in this young healer who can play with a knife and medicine. The elf king always found an excuse to spend more time with (Y/N).
Slowly, a romance blossomed between them, much to the surprise of Legolas.
When the court heard about this affair, it was a shock for many of the royal counselors. Indeed, they took a very dim view of this young commoner. However, the people immediately loved (Y/N) and accepted him as their new king consort.
Since this day, (Y/N) was allowed to sit next to The King. And today, he felt his presence would be helpful for his husband, as the latter was about to greet a delegation of dwarves. This delegation was led by Thorin Oakenshield, the grandson of Thror, King of Erebor. It sounds like his beloved husband would need his help.
It is necessary to say that between Thranduil and the Erebor royal family, there was a feud that lasted for years.
As he arrived in the throne room, a servant announced:
"His Majesty King Consort (Y/N) of Mirkwood!"
Slightly smiling, the young man saw Thranduil sitting on his throne.
The monarch talked with a guard:
"Let those dwarves coming here. However, be careful with this Thorin Oaekenshield: I fear he might be like his grandfather..."
"All the guards will be vigilant, Your Majesty!" stated the armored man as he saluted his king before leaving the room.
Thranduil turned his hand and gently gestured to his husband:
"Come here, my love."
"This is what I intended to do, my adored." (Y/N) smiled as he sat on his throne.
Thranduil reached (Y/N)'s hand and held it.
"I am glad that you find some time for me."
"Well, I know this meeting is capital for you. Besides, I would like you to avoid a new feud between our people and the dwarves of Erebor."
The elf king sighed.
"What can I say? You cannot trust dwarves. Especially those who come from under the mountains."
"Who knows? Maybe Thorin would be different..."
Thranduil scoffed.
"I wish I was optimistic like you, my sunflower."
"Let see..."
Suddenly, a guard shouted:
"Thorin Oakenshield and his delegation are here, Your Majesties. Gandalf the Grey is here too!"
"What this wizard is doing here?" grumbled Thranduil.
"We'll see in time..."
Shortly after, the company of Thorin Oakenshield arrived in the throne room. Among the dwarves, (Y/N) noticed a hobbit, which surprised him.
But, much to his delight, he noticed the presence of Gandalf.
"Dear Gandalf, what a pleasure to see you!"
The old wizard politely bowed with a smile:
"The pleasure is reciprocated, King (Y/N)."
As for Thranduil and Thorin, they stared stonily at each other. The Durin dynasty and the Elf King always had difficult contacts. All the story with Smaug did not improve it, and even if Thorin finally regain his throne, he never forgave Thranduil for giving up on his people when they needed help.
"Greetings, o delegation of Erebor. I hope the journey was not too arduous," said Thranduil with a cold tone.
"It went well, Your Majesty," politely said Balin with a respectful bow.
"It is a pleasure finally meeting the brave company of Thorin Oakenshield. The same company who dared fight Smaug The Terrible and gained back their kingdom," added (Y/N) with a gentle smile.
All the dwarves giggled with a blush on their faces. They all heard about King (Y/N) of Mirkwood, known as "The Gentle King" by all realms. Even Dwalin, who could not stand elves, was not able to resist.
The two kings started to negotiate new treaties between their respective kingdoms. Unfortunately, as they were both stubborn, they did not agree on anything.
"WHAT? YOU WANT US TO SELL OUR METAL? THAT IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!" yelled Thorin.
"It is ABSOLUTELY out of the question that my people would low the price of our wooden crafts," replied Thranduil with anger.
As for the other dwarves, they stayed silent while watching their sovereign sparring verbally with The Elvenking.
Meanwhile, Gandalf talked with (Y/N).
"I expected that they would fight. I hope you're not annoyed, dear (Y/N)."
"Not really, my dear wizard: I am not surprised by their behavior. They never got along, and I am afraid it will not change."
Suddenly, (Y/N)  noticed Bilbo slowly coming towards him. Gandalf exclaimed:
"Ah, I forgot! I should introduce you to our dear Hobbit! Master Baggins, this is King (Y/N) of Mirkwood. King (Y/N), I would like to introduce Bilbo Baggins to you. Without his talents, this quest would have failed."
Intimidated, the Hobbit awkwardly bowed:
"It is an honor to meet you, Your Majesty."
"It is a pleasure to meet you too, Mister Baggins."
Catching his breath, Bilbo replied:
"I have to say, Your Majesty: when I told all the inhabitants of Hobbiton that I would meet you, they all ask me to check if you were as handsome and benevolent as the songs said..."
The King consort asked, amused:
"And do I meet your expectations, Master Baggins?"
Bilbo brightly blushed before replying:
"The truth is, O (Y/N), the songs did not have enough words to praise your handsomeness and kindness."
"That is very kind of you, Mister Baggins."
Fidgeting his fingers, the Hobbit:
"May I ask you something, O generous monarch?"
"What is it, Mister Baggins?"
"Well... The people of Hobbiton want to have proof that I met you. And I would like to know if you could provide me some evidence."
The King consort smiled:
"Did they ask for something in particular?"
"Not really."
"Then, I think I can help you," replied (Y/N) as he cut one of his dark locks.
Then, he put in a golden pendant, engraved with his portrait, before handing it to Bilbo Baggins.
"When you will come back home, tell your people that it is the present from the King consort of Mirkwood to the bravest Hobbit."
The Hobbit stared with amazement at this gift.
He stammered:
"Your Majesty... I have no words to tell you how grateful I am!"
"There is no need, Master Baggins: your actions speak louder than your words."
(Y/N) did not notice that Fili was looking at him with adoring eyes.
Indeed, the nephew of Thorin swore he never met such a handsome man in all realms. It such a shame this perfect elf married Thranduil.
He came towards (Y/N) and politely said:
"I am pleased to meet you, King (Y/N)."
"The pleasure is mine, Prince Fili."
The young Dwarf prince felt his heart skipping a beat: this voice! It was like hearing millions of birds singing in harmony.
Clearing his throat, he asked:
"Your Majesty, may I ask you something?"
"Of course. What is it?"
To the surprise of all the people gathered in the room, Fili asked:
"Are you aware that your handsomeness is the most deadly weapon of all realms?"
All stopped talking - or yelling - and looked at the scene with surprise on their faces.
As for (Y/N), he was astonished by this question.
"Well, I am not aware that I am dangerous to this point. Could you tell why?"
Smirking, Fili declaimed:
"Like a battering ram,
Your smile makes the walls around my heart crumbling down.
Like a sharpened sword,
Your eyes destroyed the shield that protects my mind.
Like an arrow,
Your voice pierced me to the core.
And like a defeated army,
I surrender to the love I feel for you."
"WHAT?" exclaimed (Y/N).
"How dare you, you filthy dwarf!" yelled Thranduil.
"Do not use that tone with my nephew!" scolded Thorin.
Unaware of the upcoming threat, Fili pursued his declaration:
"It is the truth! You're so handsome, kind, wise, and pure. You deserve better than those arrogant elves!"
"Fili, shut up!" gritted Kili.
Feeling the anger boiling in the eyes of the Elvenking, Gandalf tried to calm the situation.
"Your Majesty, please forgive this young dwarf. He lets the ardor of youth speaking louder than his reason," he said while giving a slight slap on Fili's head.
Balin pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed: not only he had to deal with the short-tempered dwarf king, but he had to handle his carefree prince.
As for Dwalin, he inwardly chuckled: he despised Thranduil, and seeing Fili courting the King consort of Mirkwood amused him.
Meanwhile, Fili claimed his love for (Y/N):
"Come to Erebor, o blossoming orchid. I would make you the happiest prince of all realms."
"Listen, Fili: your gentleness towards me is moving. But, in case you are not aware, I am married and happy!"
"And I would let no one, and especially NO DWARF, courting my spouse!" fumed Thranduil.
When he heard that, Fili had a deadpan expression on his face and declared:
"Then, I know what I have to do..."
"What do you mean?" asked Balin, sweating with dread.
"Why I fear he might say something stupid?" muttered Bilbo.
They were not out of the woods!
"I, Fili, son of Dis, grandson of Thrain, solemnly demand the hand of (Y/N) of Mirkwood as my husband!"
"WHAT?" yelled the dwarves.
"Oh no!" groaned Kili as he facepalmed.
As for Gandalf, he feared that Thranduil would be mad. And it was the case!
"Stay away from my husband, you idiot!"
Thorin snickered, which angered the elf king.
"May I know what causes your hilarity, Thorin Oakenshield?"
"At least, it proves that my nephew has good taste. And perhaps (Y/N) will appreciate our beautiful kingdom, far from your bunches of hypocrites!" replied the latter.
"What do you mean?"
"Either you are deaf, or blind... or stupid. But I find it hard not to notice that your royal boot-lickers are not happy to see a consort that is not from royal lineage!"
"Please, can we go back to the negotiations?" pleaded Balin.
"Not until this idiot stops courting my husband!" yelled Thranduil.
"Oh, shut up, you pointed-ears princess: nobody asked for your opinion!" growled Bombur.
"Guys, stop it!" begged Bilbo.
"Besides, Fili: it is not possible to marry (Y/N)!" explained Kili.
"And why?"
"First of all, he is already married! Secondly, he is an elf from the woods. He does not belong to the mines, neither the mountain!"
"Ah, I did not think about this... Ah, I have a plan! I shall create a beautiful garden on one of the mountain plateaus!"
"Oh, so you can plant something else than a vegetable patch?" said Thranduil with irony.
"You want to fight?" screamed Oin.
All this argument created chaos that gets on the nerves of the wizard.
"CALM DOWN, ALL OF YOU!" ordered Gandalf in a booming voice.
All immediately stood silent, terrified by the charisma of Gandalf.
Once the silence fell on the room, the wizard said:
"I did not try to stop a war for enduring your silly bickerings!"
"But..." protested Thorin.
"DO NOT DARE CONTRADICTING ME!"
As for (Y/N), he decided to put an end to this mess.
He turned to Fili and declared in a soft voice:
"Fili, I would like you to listen to me carefully!"
The latter nodded, afraid of the answer.
"I am all ears, (Y/N)."
"Fili of Erebor, I appreciate your compliments towards me because I feel they were sincere and pure. But for once and all, I am already married to the man I love more than my own life.
I am aware that I am just a gold digger, a social climber for many royal counselors. A little nobody that does not deserves to wear the crown of Mirkwood. But do I care? No.
Because all the elven people love me, Legolas helped me, and my husband would never let me go. It is more than enough for me..."
Fili sighed.
"And to say I was thrilled to introduce you to Mum. I am sure she would love you!"
"I have no doubt. But I belong to Mirkwood and his king, against all odds."
"Besides, I am sure that Mother would surely want you alive and not beheaded by a MAD ELF KING because you try to steal him his husband, you jackass!" replied Kili, fed up with his brother's shenanigans.
"Anyway, we sorted this story, and there is nothing to worry about!" wisely said Gandalf.
"I hope so..." coldly stated Thranduil.
A few hours later, the dwarves and the Elvenking managed to find some common ground. Then, Thorin and his company went back to their kingdom, followed by Gandalf and Bilbo.
As he nearly walked out of the door, Fili shouted to (Y/N):
"Dear (Y/N), if one day you come to Erebor, I promise I will show you the garden I create for you. I keep my words!"
"I can't wait to see it, dear Fili!" smirked the king consort of Mirkwood.
Once the delegation left, Thranduil sighed and said:
"Finally, they're gone! I swear to the moon that those dwarves would kill me!"
"Well, you managed to survive. Speaking of surviving, I am surprised that you did not kill Fili on the spot!"
"My dear daffodil, you have no idea how much I wanted to cut off his head!"
Amused by this fit of jealousy, (Y/N) asked:
"But you know I would never leave you, right?"
The Elvenking gently smiled and held the hand of his husband.
"No doubt about you shall ever cross my mind, dear.I know you will never leave me."
He gently kissed (Y/N)'s hand before the pair exited the room.
On their way, the king asked:
"Now, my waterlily, could you tell me the names of my royal counselors who disrespected you? I think I might need to have a little conversation with them..."
"I assure you, Thranduil, there is no need..."
Thranduil gently shushed his consort by putting his finger on (Y/N)'s lips.
"I have to do it, my love. After all, no one dares to be rude towards the King's precious gem without suffering consequences!"
Slightly blushing, (Y/N) smiled at this compliment.
And as they went to the dining room, (Y/N) felt like something new arrived in Mirkwood. He believed that one day, the court would not look at him as (Y/N) the little nobody with a crown, but as (Y/N) of Mirkwood, the king consort of this kingdom and the King's precious gem.
Long live the kings...
Thanks for the reading!
I hope you enjoy the story and I can’t wait to see future requests!
See you soon and take care! 😘🥰😍

The Report Card – Fantasy High: The Seven Ep 5
Through a Glass, Darkly
Welcome back to the Temple of the Earth Defiant where the girls and their magical horses (and one pony!) have found refuge from the strange, twisted, fae creatures that have been chasing them. The statue of Asha Hammerheart that Ost animated last episode is still alive and wrecking house on the remaining harpies and beasts that are foolish enough to keep fighting and the rest soon get the hint and flee.
Ost does some healing (boosted by the ambient Hallow effect of the temple which gives everyone a short rest) and then, seeing the damage to the temple caused by erosion, starts using Mending to fix things up. Her friends help out too with Sam and Yelle being most effective--Sam by repairing water damage and Yelle by creating tree cover and other druid-y tricks. But of course, we can’t overlook Katja’s crucial addition of carving “A Horse is a Home” into one of the walls of this sacred temple.
Anyway, the girls are nesting super hard, the horses are having their scrapbooking reviewing club (an insane thing that was established last episode) and then Sam asks a question. Did y’all mention something about a photo of me going viral? Everyone’s like yeah, but don’t worry, you looked super hot. That’s not the part Sam was worried about. What she’s worried about and what all the girls except Zelda don’t really seem to know is that Sam doesn’t really have a social media presence. So like, 180k and climbing views (as decided by a dice roll) isn’t really what she wants. She scrolls through the comments really quick and sees that they’re not awful but one person is like, “Hey that girl looks a lot like that character from that old show”. Which Sam doesn’t love. She says that she’s fine but also that, even without an Insight check, she’s obviously not.
Sam kind of looks to Zelda to bail her out and Zelda is like, “Hey, I’m gonna delete this video.” The other girls follow suit, even though they don’t quite know what’s happening. When they have to split up to investigate, Sam has Zelda kind of bail her out again and they split up to go check a nest outside--Zelda waving off Danielle when she wants to go with. Ant and Yelle decide to check out a cache of some treasure they saw earlier and Ost and Katja stay with the horses to keep fixing the temple up. Penny initially goes with Ant and Yelle but rushes back to be with Ost and Kat when Ost discovers a hidden lock while she’s fixing a wall.
So, the girls are split up, let’s run all these scenes.
Antiope and Yelle
Ant and Yelle go see the pile of treasure (near the statue of dwarven paladin Yvonna) which they learn is like a “take a penny leave a penny” situation for weapons and items. They were left by adventures who were similarly chased here and you can take what you need as long as you leave something to help others. Like, “Oh no I only have an ice sword and I need flaming arrows.” It doesn’t have to be equivalent exchange, you just need to leave something useful.
In this space, Yelle feels a weird melancholy and like they’re within the watch of something vast and powerful. She tries to check for TK’s presence but rolls low. Antiope leaves her Kalvaxus killing shortsword and takes some really nice, white feather fledged arrows with mirror tips and an ax Kat wants as a present for her dad. Danielle takes a bandolier of potions (3 healing and 2 mystery I believe) and leaves a bunch of mushrooms. Some of them are psychedelic and Ant takes one because this is probably a good time to be high, right?
It’s not messing with her competence obviously though because she rolls a 25 on Primeval Awareness and gets a weird sense, like something is closing in on this place. And like something very powerful is bleeding, which combined with the chaos of the mountains might explain the weird harpies and the cat/dogs. But she’s high so she explains this is a very spacey, stoner way. Probably a good thing she’s with Yelle.
Sam and Zelda
Sam can fly and Zelda can basically walk vertically with her goat legs so they check out the nest. Well, ostensibly that’s what they’re doing. Really they’re just having a heart to heart. Sam thanks Zelda for saving her ass and apologizes profusely for being so short with her. Zelda gives her a huge mid-air hug and says it’s not a big deal because she knows Sam is just lashing out because she’s hurting but Sam says it’s not a good enough excuse and she’s truly sorry. It’s been her coping mechanism for so long but she doesn’t want to be that way. She tells Zelda that the Everpetals are divorcing and that she’s living alone and Zelda says that any one of the girls would be happy to have her stay with them. Sam further explains that this is a big part of the reason she’s been so broken up about the possibility of their group splitting up and Zelda immediately takes out her crystal and texts her “I’m in” in the thread, breaking Sam again.
Since they’re in heart to heart mode, Sam tells her that she talked to her bio-mom and an agent and she’s not sure what to do. Zelda says that she’s gonna be spectacular no matter what she does and she doesn’t have to do any of them but it’s cool doors are opening for her but also Antiope and Penny are gonna be PISSED that she’s out here making side plans after she gave them so much shit for theirs. Lol, well it’s a nice moment in the meantime and we cut to…
Penny, Ost, and Katja
While Penny is lockpicking (and also trying to teach one of the horses to lockpick because sure) Katja and Ost go talk to the statue of Asha Hammerheart. It seems to be animated with at least some level of her true consciousness from beyond the grave and that she can kind of woge into her statue when she wants, which is cool. She’s been there for like 250 years so that’s a lot of history to see.
Ost is maybe the most polite we’ve ever seen her talking to Asha (at least to begin with lol) and they ask her about TK. Asha says she saw TK show up 12 years ago but she never left, at least not through the front door. And then about 2 years ago (right around when they were in the crystals) that’s when the harpy queen showed up. At first they were normal and then they started mutating. Also, recently, Korra (one of the other statues/heroes) saw a woman in the mountains--not TK.
Ost then takes a page from the book of one St. Kristen Applebees and asks, “Hey. What’s the deal with our god? He never talks to us, does he just suck?” Asha--who has never talked to him even though she’s a martyred hero and literally in dwarf heaven makes some excuses for the guy but Katja scoffs at them. “If people wanna take care of you, they do.” Ost then straight up asks if Logran Soulforger is even real which sets Asha off but Ost isn’t mad AT her, she’s mad FOR her. You go and do all this cool shit to the point where you have this cool ass statue, you fully DIE for him and he doesn’t even say hi? With a 21 Persuasion check, Asha admits that yeah, she would have liked some recognition. She decides she’s gonna go do some talking to some people and leaves after getting Ost’s number but before they can ask more about the woman Korra saw (who they think is Charity).
OK, that’s all the small group stuff! Everyone comes back as Penny finishes up with the lock and they go down into this room that’s full of polished, precious stones. This is probably where people who were upkeeping the temple stayed. While everyone else is going down, Sam feels some powerful magical pull--much like her episode 1 Lightning Lure--calling her from the top of the stairs so she goes back up. We’ll get back to her in a bit.
Penny rolls a high check to clock what’s going on down here. First off, she finds flintlock bullets and airship uniform scraps which makes it seem like there was a battle here involving some airship guys from the Baronies. Which is not just the place of origin of Riz’s imaginary Romance Partner. It’s a cluster of nations known for high rates of monarchical turnover and renaissance style intrigue. I’m picturing just a nation of [REDACTED]s from Crown of Candy.
With all of this stuff, Penny finds an emblem of a billionaire airship mogul named Lord Talcidimir Tallbreeze who is a friend of her dad’s. Yelle is immediately like FUCK billionaires which isn’t plot relevant but it’s nice to know she’s always on brand.
Oh also, Penny just casually finds the Legendarium so that’s neat.
To be safe, Ost casts Protection from Energy on Ant (who is the one who knows how to use it) and brings out her Spirit Guardian (who is a combo of her mom, nona, and Asha, with her dad’s rings). Ant checks it out and sees that there are currently no A, B, or C quests in all of Spyre. While Penny cross references the bylaws to see if there’s a way to get around this, Yelle does some druid BS that I still do not understand to use the crystals in the cave to jailbreak this super powerful magical Artifact so they can just have copies on their crystals. While that’s happening, let’s check on Sam.
Sam goes back up the staircase where she sees Ending who doesn’t look menacing at all, just extremely sad. She’s looking out the mouth of the cave and, when she turns, Sam can see she’s crying blood.
“What’s wrong?” asks Sam, the acid-tongued but good-hearted. “Can I help you?”
With a 25 Persuasion check to get her to talk, Ending apologizes for scaring her and her friends before. She didn’t mean to. She sometimes forgets that her very nature can be frightening and dangerous to others. She says that when she escaped, she tried to rejoin her sisters but found their mirrors shattered and them gone. Sam thought they escaped but that doesn’t make sense to Ending. If they had, why wouldn’t they have freed her as well?
Sam asks who her sisters were and we finally get true names for Ending and her sisters:
Chrona, Terra, Pyrria, Nira, Zefira, Anima, and herself, Talura (which is what I’ll be calling her now that we know). Talura is the baby, the youngest. Sam realizes she’s talking about the Eidolons and Talura seems surprised and a bit pleased that Sam recognizes them.
Sam asks if she can hug her and Talura hugs her tightly in a very cold embrace that doesn’t hurt. Downstairs, she hears her friends (Penny specifically) freaking about about the lack of quests but she doesn’t break the hug.
“My own sisters are struggling right now but I’m gonna stay with you because you don’t know where yours are. But maybe we can find them.”
Talura clocks that the way that Sam is being is her true nature, not the bitchiness she often uses as a shield. Then she starts to talk about her history. That she and her sisters were sealed away when the gods were done with them (Sam can relate to being used and set aside) and the only way out was death. Talura has been crying and looking for her sisters to no avail. Her tears of blood leaking seems to be what caused the monsters to mutate which is in line with what Yelle and Ant were sensing.
Talura doesn’t think anything could have destroyed her sisters so she’s very confused. Sam offers Talura her Mirror of the Past because it almost knocked out Sam to get god-tier information but Talura presumably won’t have that problem. Talura offers her a boon in exchange for this great kindness but Sam says she doesn’t need any quid pro quo. “This is just because you’re hurting.”
Talura is supremely touched and still wants to do something for her new...friend? Sam accepts the title and says that what she needs is some help on her GED quest. Once she explains what she means, Talura again recognizes Aguefort and is like, Oh, you need a quest? I can totally help with that! As we learned earlier, these guys are kinda genie connected so it’s not super surprising when Talura very happily goes full your wish is my command.
Downstairs, a Class A quest suddenly appears in Spyre on the screen.
Back upstairs, Talura says that it’s been too long since she got to grant a wish and seems really happy about it. Sam gives her the mirror so she can check what happened to her sisters but when she does, she totally flips out and gets super angry--not at Sam, just at whatever she’s looking at. She can hardly believe it. Sam tries to figure out what’s wrong but she just gets super big and then disappears into a puff of smoke, leaving Sam's mirror on the ground, covered in frost.
Downstairs, the Class A quest expands across the entire globe and then the Legendarium cracks. Ost’s spirit guardian disappears because of alarm bells ringing in the afterlife. And the girls learn that a Class A quest is a quest that affects the whole MULTIVERSE. Yikes!
So anyway, they girls go upstairs to check on Sam (on a bear that Penny makes because sure) and they see that something clearly just happened with Sam. Yelle asks if she’s good and Sam is like yeahhhh I don’t think ANYONE is good right now. Sam seems like she’s about to cry and Antiope instantly forgets all the petty bullshit going on between them and rushes to make sure she’s not hurt.
Sam gives the girls a rundown of what happened and Yelle concretely puts together what I said earlier about Talura’s tears messing with nature.
Sam wants to check her mirror to see what Talura saw and Brennan says she can do it the safe way with risk of failure of the surefire way with risk of personal harm. She, of course, picks door 2 and rolls a 13 on her con save which means she rises into the air like Storm from X-Men, eyes wide, and then instantly passes out and goes into shock. Antiope is there to catch her as she does.
Also, she looks SUPER hot while falling on a 31. Honestly, it’s a shame she doesn’t allow herself a social media presence.
Anyway, we’ll get to what she sees in a bit. Yelle and Ant make sure she’s OK (she is, but the has to be knocked out for this or she won’t be able to handle it).
Penny tells them what she knows about each Eidolon from her earlier research which is what element each goes with:
Chrona: Time (Related to astral and elemental planes)
Terra: Earth
Pyrria: Fire
Nira: Water
Zefira: Air
Anima: Life
Talura: Death
They also talk about TK never leaving via the front door and all this airship stuff being around. Maybe she left out the top of the mountain on an airship? Katja has the hookup with this Tal guy (she’s met him when she was younger) so they decide they need to check it out once Sam is good.
The girls fix the Legendarium and Ost, when she goes to pray for her spells for the night, doesn’t pray to her usual god. She prays to Asha. And not only does she get her spells, she also gets a new one--Commune.
And now let’s get to what Sam is seeing in her Vision Coma.
She was told by Talura that the only way out of the mirrors given to them by the gods was death. And what Talura saw that drove her to do whatever multiverse threatening thing that she did was every one of her sisters walking out of their mirrors and choosing death. I will specifically highlight that the oldest sister leaves almost immediately with a small, “Oh,” of realization and Anima, the closest sister to her seems terrified before coming to a joyful realization and leaving.
And that’s the end of the episode! Join us next week when apparently there is talk of a masquerade ball?????? Brennan, you shouldn’t have!
Superlatives
Sam: Most Likely to Accidently Snag a Brand Deal
Did you guys ever read the Greek myth of Cupid and Psyche? Where Psyche was born so hot that it was basically a curse and she was miserable because she was so hot that Aphrodite hated her? That’s Sam. She is incapable of almost dying in a non-aesthetic way. It’s like a Pantene commercial every time. This is my favorite running gag.
Random Thoughts
Man, I have so many feelings about Sam. She’s such a BITCH in so many ways but it’s so obvious that she has a good heart. Every time she has an opportunity to be nice with no gain--helping Lola find her dog, magically turning the pages for the horses during book club, fully refusing a boon from Talura--she does. And I’m glad she gave Zelda such a sincere apology and didn’t let the extenuating circumstances absolve her because she said some pretty uncalled for things. But at her core she’s so kind and I want only good things for her.
Also those of you who know me from my FH recaps know I’m a messy bitch for sister stuff so Talura and Sam both referring to the other maidens as her sister had me dead. You can tell when something in this show is f’ing me up when I just start directly quoting instead of paraphrasing.
Katja being richer than Helio but having no idea what any of the brands Ost is mentioning are is peak comedy.
As is Ant’s response to the take and penny leave a penny translation from Ost, “No, Penny didn’t come with us.”
Ost: I get service in the afterlife.
You could really tell which of the players watched Sophomore Year because the Baronies came up and all of them went into fight or flight immediately.
Very Elsa vibes from Sam during the top of the scene with Talura. (Sam is, of course, a better sister but we simply do not have time to get into my feelings on Frozen 2 right now).
I was wondering why this season was called just “The Seven” when it dropped initially. Like, was it snappier? Did they not want to use the word “maiden”? But they still call themselves the Seven Maidens in the show so it’s probably not that. Now I’m wondering if it’s just to parallel the 7 of them w/ the 7 Eidolons.
So it seems clear based on the reactions of the first and sixth sisters that they didn’t just “go gently into that good night” as Ant would say and ditch Talura. It seems like they figured something out. Also Brennan isn’t really a “and then they all died, the end” kind of DM, you know? Credit to my friend @camwritery for getting here before I did but the gods said the only way out was death and she is death so you know? Those def seem like puzzle pieces that go together.
The only crit rolled this episode is a 1 by Penny which she gets to reroll as a halfling.

I watched a few clips from ‘Black Widow’ and this au just popped into my head. (Be warned, this whole is incredibly messy and disjointed. I apologise for that. I’m just writing this as it pops into my head in a stream of consciousness because I’m kinda tired rn.)
Black Widow/Winter Soldier Wild AU
Can you imagine if when Wild’s really young and is discovered to be the hero, he’s just ripped away from his family and life to be trained as the hero. Except the training is pretty much just training him to be an obedient assassin who does whatever he is ordered to. He’s essentially got the training of Black Widow and the Winter Soldier and is just used by the royal family for whatever they want him to do basically.
***
I imagine parts of his training be things like…
1. The obvious weapons training. He’s trained with pretty much any weapon you can find in Hyrule until he’s a master at all of them. Sword, spear, bow and arrow, bommerang, etc.
2. Hand to hand combat as well. Again, he’s pretty much mastered it.
3. Pain resistance. He’s basically trained to ignore pain and they did this by beating him over and over until he learned not to flinch and show a physical reaction.
4. He speaks pretty much every language in Hyrule (Hylian, Goron, Gerudo, Rito, Zora, and Sheikah) fluently.
5. Any other stuff you can think of that he could be trained in basically.
***
Of course, as the hero he’s still Zelda’s bodyguard, they just never get along like they start to in the game before the Calamity awakens. Mainly because Wild has to follow her father’s every order and, like in canon, she hates that she has to be protected and feels useless because she can’t access her goddess given powers. And because Wild literally doesn’t even have the freedom to even think for himself, there isn’t really anyway for them to bond, so Zelda never ends up becoming nice to him like she is after he rescues her from the Yiga attack in one of the memories. (Yeah, this AU probably isn’t going to be super Zelda friendly, basically for more angst purposes when the LU boys come in).
A way to make the situation worse is by having all the champions, even Revali as much as he teases, be deeply uncomfortable by the way Wild is treated by the royal family. (I kinda imagine Revali still being a prick but he’s a bit nicer to Wild then he is in canon.) When they all first visit Hyrule Castle and see how he basically is treated more like a tool than a person, they are all absolutely furious. They all end up volunteering to train Wild in their various fighting styles as a way to get him away from the castle and his orders for a bit so that they can actually treat him kindly. But they treat him so differently to how he’s treated back in the castle that he’s actually confused by them treating him kindly. They’d all gotten back to their respective quarters that night and shed a few tears, the boy didn’t even know proper kindness.
The champions just see Wild as a member of their family and, although he doesn’t say it, he becomes fond of them too. He’s like a brother to all of them. They hate having to leave him to go and prepare the Divine Beasts and pray they see him soon.
Calamity Ganon rises.
The champions are killed in their respective Divine Beasts, and the makeshift family they had with Wild is broken apart.
Wild runs across a muddy field in torrential rain with Zelda’s hand in one of his and the Master Sword in his other. He’s running on nothing but orders and adrenaline. He has several cracked ribs, his left arm is broken even as he grips Zelda’s hand, there is blood pouring out of several cuts and gashes across his body, but still he keeps running. He has too, his body will not allow him to stop as he was ordered to run and protect the princess. She is his mission and he cannot fail.
But moments after Zelda finally unlocks her powers as she shields them from a guardian, he fails his mission. He collapses under the weight of his injuries and moments later, he dies in the middle of Hyrule Field. He has failed his mission and Hyrule has fallen. (Sorry, I don’t really know when I slipped into story mode there?)
But Zelda still manages to have him placed him the resurrection shrine as they still need him, and so, 100 years later, Wild wakes up.
The whole thing gets sadder if you imagine Wild’s training being so strong that it sticks after his resurrection. He doesn’t even understand it, he just hears a voice in his head yelling at him to not do this and not do that. (Extra sad thing, the reason he does all the side quests is because Zelda is the highest authority figure in Hyrule, but as she’s trapped in the castle and unable to give him orders, Wild just obeys anyone because he assumes that they’re a higher ranking than him, even though they are just normal people. And most of the time, they aren’t giving him orders they are asking for help, but he just doesn’t know the difference.)
Anyway, Wild completes his mission and defeats Calamity Ganon and everything seems okay. He’s still at Zelda’s side as she’s the current ruler and part of his programming is to obey the current monarch. They still don’t really get along, but Zelda is trying to be kind to him now, but I imagine that it’s just kind of too late for that now.
However, everything changes when the LU gang turn up (finally!) and look for this Hyrule’s hero, they do find him. But they just don’t expect him to be an emotionless 118 year old assassin. They talk with Zelda to discuss their quest and she says that Wild can go with them, blah blah blah. So they take Wild with them on their quest and just get more and more outraged the more they find out about him (oh, also Wild is mute in this and uses sign language.)
Since Time seems to be the leader of the group, Wild starts to treat him like he treats Zelda. Listens to whatever he says as Wild sees it as an order, protects him more during fights, that kinda stuff and it breaks Time’s heart when he figures it out.
Also i imagine that it’s also really strange for Wild to visit the other Hyrules and meet the other Zelda’s who have great relationships with their respective Links, because he doesn’t have that with his Zelda. (Although, I do see Malon immediately taking a liking to him and wanting to hug the poor boy, which would be super emotional for him as he hasn’t been hugged in years and can’t even remember his own mother).
***
But there are two times that the gang really learn how much his training messed him up and oh boy, are they fucking fuming!
The first time happened when Wild gets stabbed during a fight and doesn’t even flinch. Nobody notices until after the fight when they all sit at the camp fire that night and Wild just starts sewing his wound up as they all watch in horror. Hyrule asks why he never said he was injured and Wild says ‘it wasn’t important.’ And doesn’t understand why they make a fuss and insist he wastes a healing potion on himself (yes, Wild has an absolutely crap self-esteem here and doesn’t actually think he’s worth anything other than what he can do for people.) Hyrule has to be stopped from tackling Wild to check on the wound himself.
The second was when Wild put himself in danger during a fight to protect the others and when the fight was over Time yelled at him. It was out of concern for Wild’s wellbeing and asking why him had put himself in danger, but Wild thought he was in trouble and asked if Time wanted to punish him. Everyone, especially Time, was horrified and confused. Time asked what Wild meant by punishment and then almost wished he’d never asked. Wild just went into explanations of various punishments he’s had. They were all incredibly harsh, including being whipped, having to stand outside holding a sword outstretched in his hands all night while not being allowed to lower his arms, having to fight other full-armoured and equiped soldiers without any armour or weapons himself, etc. Wild is then the subject of a very big cuddle pile.
***
Basically this AU can be summed up as Black Widow/Winter Soldier Wild gets treated nicely for the first time in years and is very confused/uncomfortable, while the gang all immediately see Wild and are like ‘ahh yes, our amnesiac assassin now’ while they try to convince him that there is more to him than just being a puppet for people. Of course, while the quest with the black blooded monsters takes place as well.

A week has passed since your first meeting with the king. He grew more pleasant the more you two spent time together – perhaps his sour mood was indeed due to the king being overworked. Nevertheless, you still refused to grow attached to the man. There were rumors of his cruelty for a reason. But as the days wore on, your stubbornness was soon relenting, allowing yourself to enjoy his presence despite his mood swings that swayed like a pendulum.
And with your wedding on the horizon, perhaps the bond growing steadily between you and King Steven was a good thing.
The arrow whizzed through the air and landed centimeters away from the red center. You let out a groan as your arms slack in defeat. “I swear I’m much better,” you muttered. You were normally a great shot with your own bow – the bow that the huntsman broke when you fought against him.
The king chuckled as he took the bow from your hands. “I’m sure you are,” he teased. He drew an arrow and aimed for less than a second. When he let it go, it landed right into the center – much to your dismay. “My, I do think I’ve won.”
“You’re so humble.” He chuckled at your words. Your sarcasm was as crisp as the morning air. “But I do believe I have a redemption shot.”
Steven quirked up an eyebrow. “Of course, your highness,” he gave you a cocky smile as you grabbed the bow from him. “If you think you can beat a perfect shot.”
You hummed as you lined up your shot. You took a deep breath as you stared into the target. Your breathing was steady as you aimed. He doubted you could best him. His arrow lodged in the exact center of the target. It was a guaranteed win. Surely –
You let the arrow go and with an audible snap, Steven’s eyes widened in surprise. It was hard to tell from the distance, but it became clear as you both approached the target. “You’ve split my arrow,” he said in disbelief.
“I told you I was great a shot. Did you not believe me?” He sputtered excuses and you felt a rush of pride as a smirk found its way onto your face. “My, I do believe that I have won, your grace.”
“I concur,” he chuckled. “Took you some time to adjust to the bow, though. Perhaps, we should’ve played at even stakes from the beginning. Shall we ask a servant to fetch for your bow?”
You gave him a sad smile and shook your head. “I’m afraid I did not travel with my bow.”
“Why not?”
“Thor, the huntsman, who gave me these,” you lifted your wrists as you alluded to the cuts that were now mostly healed, “snapped my bow.”
“You never did tell me why you were fighting with Thor.”
“Perhaps it’s a story that should be told another day,” a voice called out. Lord Alexander Pierce, one of the lords of Steven’s council, bowed to you and his king. You quickly noticed Steven’s sudden change in demeanor. His smile had been abandoned as his brows furrowed and his stare hardened. You weren’t a fool. You knew that the Lords Pierce and Rumlow were almost always the cause of his aggravation. “Your grace, I’ve come to collect you. Lord Rumlow and I request a meeting with the council.”
“Has Lord Barnes and Lord Wilson been informed?”
“Yes, your grace. We are all waiting on you.”
“Can’t it wait,” you frowned. Steven glanced over at you in surprise. Ladies normally hold their tongue in the presence of the nobles. Some would’ve called your outburst impolite, but King Steven found it amusing. “The king and I were enjoying our time together before you arrived.”
“I’m afraid it cannot.” Lord Pierce simply stared through you. How dare a woman speak in that tone to me, he thought though he knew better than to snipe at his future queen – especially in front of the king.
Steven let out a sigh through his nose as his jaw clenched up in frustration. What the hell did Rumlow and Pierce want now? “I will join you later for a rematch.” He told you but you shook your head.
“I will be at one of the eastern villages later today,” you said. “I was told there was a fire last night and I wanted to provide any aid I could.”
“Of course,” Steven nodded. “When I’m released, I will join you.”
“I would love that, your grace,” you nodded and curtseyed to him and walked off.
Lord Pierce sent a glare your way and as soon as you were out of earshot he said, “is everyone in that family horrendously outspoken?”
“Amusingly so, Lord Pierce.”
“»————- ⚜ ————-««
“I do not see the problem,” Steven said, squinting his eyes the two men. Lord Rumlow let out a sigh of frustration as he looked to Lord Pierce to further the argument.
“We have reason to believe that your future bride may be conspiring against you. How simpler can it get?” Lord Pierce snapped. The older man was visibly annoyed. The wrinkles around his brows and forehead visible with his frown. The king didn’t appreciate the man’s tone. “She has you galivanting in your gardens with her, playing a game with arrows. She’s keeping you from your duties.”
“Was it not you who said that the wedding should be postponed?” James scoffed.
“Besides… she is not a distraction. We’re simply getting acquainted with one another. I do not want to marry a stranger. Not again.” The king said. He looked at the painting that hung near the door. He remembered painting that portrait of Queen Margaret, his first wife.
“The Starks cannot be trusted.” Lord Pierce added. “Not long ago, we were at war with them! Now, you trust that Anthony Stark has sent over his own daughter willingly?”
“I trust Tony.” Steven nodded. He did. Despite the disarray that plagued the north three years ago, he did trust the other king. “And his daughter has not given me any reason to doubt the Starks. She’s lovely company. Perhaps, you’re just upset that she doesn’t scare easily.” Lord Wilson and Barnes chuckled at this. Alexander Pierce took pride in his ability to bend others to his will by striking fear in their hearts – something you seemed impervious to.
“I believe we can save ourselves from King Thanos entirely.” Lord Pierce suggested. The five men fell into silence as Lord Pierce smirked, knowing he finally had their attention. “Marrying the Stark girl may unite the North, but why should we stop at just the north. Of course, but what if you marry King Thanos’s eldest daughter – the Princess Gamora. You would spare Brooken from Thanos’s wrath.”
“But that would not mean that Brooken is free from the Mad King’s tyranny! He would want Brooken as his own.” James interjected.
Steven agreed. “His daughter would slit my throat in my sleep so that my kingdom falls in her father’s hands. I will not have it.”
“Cousin, I ask that you entertain the idea,” Brock spoke. The King narrowed his eyes at his cousin as if to say as if you aren’t entertaining that idea yourself. “Acknowledge the threat and align yourself with Thanos.”
“I will not hear of this ever again.” Steven snapped. “Do you understand – all of you?” A chorus of agreement – though Brock and Alexander’s tones were not happy. “I will marry (Y/N) Stark in a week. Our marriage will unite the northern kingdoms. Unity is what we all need. Standing together with York – with the Starks – that union will help us prevail in any war.”
Alexander Pierce had been a friend to King Steven’s father. Though, Steven did not know why his father befriended the man. He found Pierce rather insufferable – always pushing an agenda that he says will “better” Brooken but in truth, only benefits himself.
It was Alexander Pierce who set up the betrothal between Queen Sharon and the king. The two had known each other for less than a day before they were wed. The marriage had not been successful for many reasons. Wanting to avoid another failed marriage – and already distrusting Alexander Pierce’s judgement – the king chose his own bride: you.
The brief meeting was adjourned. The king and his two friends hurried off to meet with you and your ladies in the village, leaving Brock and Alexander murmuring to themselves.
“That was our one opportunity. He will not hear of if again. I know my cousin. His mind is already made.” Brock muttered. “I do not see how he was made king. He’s boneless, the self-righteous arse.”
Alexander chuckled. “Oh, Rumlow, your cousin has indeed made a fine king. He’s lead Brooken to victory on the battlefield so many times. Smart one, too. He’s evaded our attempts too many times now. He’s even decided to choose his own bride instead of listening to my council. His intuition has always been on his side.”
“We cannot turn him against Stark. We cannot get him to ally with Thanos.”
“Indeed… but perhaps, we can turn his own queen against him. She must’ve already heard the rumors if not in York but here. She just needs a push.”
“»————- ⚜ ————-««
When the king arrived, he had not expected the damage. The building had been burnt down. The burnt scent still hung in the air. The crowds that gathered welcomed him, bowing to their monarch.
“Your grace,” Lord Barnes muttered, getting his attention. Though the king searched for you in the crowds, he nodded to Lord Barnes to show his friend that he was listening. “This may be the first time the people see you and their future queen interact. It’s imperative to give a good impression.”
“Of course,” Steven nodded. He spotted a fiery haired woman cut through the crowds and recognizing her immediately. “Lady Natasha!” The woman stopped in her tracks as the king stalked towards her. She bowed to him and threw Lord Barnes a small smile, one he gladly returned. “Where’s (Y/N)?”
Before the red head could respond, your voice rang out throughout the crowd. Steven’s head snapped in its direction to catch a glimpse of you surrounded by villagers. You were handing out various food items to his people. They were the leftovers from the feast the castle had a few nights ago.
He cracked a smile at the sight. Lord Barnes clasped his shoulder. “She will make a fine queen to your people, Steve,” he muttered under his breath.
“Indeed.” Steve felt a sense of pride in seeing you. All you were missing was a crown on your head. His heart raced at the thought. It’s only been a week and you’ve already had such an effect on the man. He stalked towards you with a smile. “Your highness, may I be of assistance?”
You smiled at him as you glanced over to the cart of food behind you. He nodded and stood with you as the both of you gave out the food to the poor. It was safe to assume his people loved you.
“We shall thank Princess (Y/N) of York for her generosity!” the king announced to the people who cheered in response. “Thank you for feeding my people, my love.” Your heart fluttered at hearing those words. You scolded yourself for the feeling. You were not to fall so quickly for the king you barely just met. In turn, Steven wasn’t sure if his words were just for show or genuine, but he was certain that you at his side would be a great addition to his reign – not to mention, he liked having you around altogether.
He snaked an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, inhaling your scent. The smell of rose petals strong in your hair. You laughed as your hand rested on his chest as the people cheered for you both. You have definitely made a wonderful impression.
His loving stare did not go unnoticed by his friends, your ladies, and the people. This was their feature. This was Brooken’s future.
And it seemed bright.
“»————- ⚜ ————-««
“I told you he’s not as bad as the rumors made him out to be,” Wanda remarked as she brushed through your hair. The water from your bath left your hair damp while your lady tried to unravel the knots.
“You two have become quite close in our short time here.” Natasha added. “It’s the early morning excursions about the property, isn’t it?”
“He’s different than I assumed, yes,” you agreed with a smile. “However, he does have his moments. I think he’s restrained himself because of our first meeting.”
“Your wounds have healed quite well.” Natasha said, taking your wrist and examining it. The wrist that Steven had grabbed was still scabbing over. The other had healed almost completely, leaving light pink scars around your wrist. “I’m sure King Steven has shown his apologies for this.”
“He’s quite cocky,” you thought aloud. “Though what man isn’t. He is a king after all. His confidence is well placed. He nearly beat me this morning in archery. Though, I split his arrow, winning the game.”
“I’ve never heard of a split arrow?” Wanda asked, furrowing her brows in confusion.
“It’s quite rare, I believe.” Natasha explained. “Your shot must’ve been well aimed, your highness.”
“It was.” You smirked.
“Perhaps cockiness is just a trait that all monarchs eventually develop,” Wanda chided. You three laughed. “I cannot wait until the wedding. The dress you wear will be divine.”
“I wish we could push back the wedding even further,” you confessed. You rubbed at the healing wrist nervously as you remembered about the wedding. It would occur in less than a week. You would be queen of Brooken in less than a week – Steven’s wife in less than a week. “The king and I… We may get along now, but we are still strangers. I’m afraid that this may all be an act – his kindness and his charm. He may still be the monster that I fear the rumors make him out to be.”
Natasha tsked at you as she took your hands in hers. She remembered the stare he had on you when he saw you in the village. His eyes had shined – something the portraits never showed. The glint of a promising future – a loving husband and a great king. “He looks as if he was already in love with you.” Wanda nodded in agreement. You groaned, pulling your wrists from hers. “Why am I the only one concerned about our safety?”
“Because he has not given you any reason to be concerned.” Natasha said. You lifted your scabbed wrist with your brows raised.
Before she could rebut, there was a knock on the door. “Come in!” You called.
Ser Pietro opened the door and Lord Barnes walked in. Natasha suddenly stood and straightened out her dress. He bowed to you and nodded to your ladies. His stare lingered on Natasha for a few seconds longer before turning to you.
“King Steven has asked me to deliver a gift,” he smiled. He handed you a box and you cautiously took.
Was this someone’s head? No… There was no one that you could think that the king would have reason to behead. You laid the box on your bed and slowly lifted the lid. A surprised gasp left your lips as you stared at the bow. It was strikingly similar to your own.
“It’s beautiful,” you murmured. A note had been placed inside.
Dearest (Y/N),
Upon hearing of your broken bow this morning and reached out to the huntsman. He has a remarkable memory and gave me a detailed description of it. I had one of my talented men in the weaponry recreate it from what the huntsman could recall. It may not perfect or even what you expected, but I do hope that you will enjoy your new bow as I have enjoyed our time together.
With much love,
Steven.
“Give the king my gratitude, my lord,” you smiled at Lord Barnes who nodded.
“Your presence at court has brought much joy to my king, to my friend.” He said. James glanced over at Natasha once more before leaving. You made a note to ask her about it later.
Wanda took the box as the ladies helped you into bed. Natasha smirked at you as if to say see? Nothing to worry about.
That night, you tossed and turned but was unable to lull yourself to sleep. You kept thinking about the bow and about the kind words in his letter. Perhaps he wasn’t as horrible after all?
Frustrated, you decided to wander about the castle in an effort to tire yourself out. With a candlestand in one hand and your robe wrapped tightly around you, you went off on your adventure.
The castle was different at night. The moonlight illuminated the corridors and left an eerie feeling in your gut. The shadows that casted upon the walls looked as if they were creatures of the night and every turn you made had you jolt in fear.
You heard faint whispers near a staircase that only went down. From your tour, you vaguely remember that this was the pathway to the dungeons underneath the grounds. You had no intention of walking down those steps until you heard a familiar voice riddled with anger. You felt goosebumps rise on your skin upon realization. It was Steven’s voice.
You crept down the stairs, careful not to make a sound. Since Brooken did many things differently than York, you weren’t sure what would condemn someone to the prison. Theft? Perhaps, murder?
“Admit it,” Steven’s voice grew louder the closer you approached. You kept yourself hidden, diminishing your candle’s fire so that you would not be seen. There was a groan in response. There were several groans throughout the prison.
“Water… Please, sire,” someone begged. “We know nothing.”
“Do not lie to your king!” Another voice snapped. It was James’s.
Steven sighed. “We know the truth, but we need a confession. I will grant you freedom if you confess.” You frowned. In York, those sent to prison were given a trial before the king and the nobles of the court. It would be made known what the offense was, and the council would decide the punishment accordingly. But it seemed as if Brooken dealt with their legal affairs privately.
“I will not speak out.” The hoarse voice responded. “I will be loyal until my last dying breath.”
You heard shuffling as King Steven approached the prisoner. “Death I can arrange.” His tone was even but his threat was a promise. His rage radiated and you felt it from your hidden position. “But if you confess now, I can grant you freedom.”
“No.”
An exasperated sigh left the king. “Very well. Pull out each and every one of his teeth until he confesses.” You weren’t sure who the order was for – Lord Barnes? Was there another man there? “If he doesn’t, stretch him until his joints dislocate. Pop them into place then repeat until he confesses because I will have a confession.”
“And if he dies, your grace?”
“Turn his body to ash.” There was no remorse in his voice. There were groans of protest and begging, but the king had already made up his mind.
There were murmurs between the two men – Lord Barnes and the king – but you didn’t pay it much mind. You heard all you needed to. You rushed up the staircase and ran to your room, not caring about the maids and knights who saw you.
You slammed the door shut and ran your hand through your hair. What the hell did you just hear?
The king slowly made his way out of the prison, but suddenly stopped. He stared at the spot you were standing at minutes ago. There was a scent – one that was very different from the putrid smells of the dungeons.
A woman’s scent.
Roses.
