eddie munson x new girl

contents: new girl referred to as angel, lovesick!eddie, strangers to friends to lovers, hellfire club, dustin henderson cameo, mutual pining, inexperienced!reader, shy!reader, maybe fairy!reader but i’m not sure yet.

summary: eddie lets his love consume him, and he’s okay with it.

eddie munson is down bad. in love. completely enamored. shot by cupid. and she’s beautiful. the fairest maiden in all the land.

she’s all flowery dresses, flowy skirts, cozy sweaters, butterfly clips in her hair, fairy wing eyeliner design and shimmery glitter on her eyelids, sparkly pink lipgloss, highlighter on her cheekbones— the prettiest angel he’s ever seen. absolutely ethereal. the thing is, she’s terribly clueless. oblivious, even. her and eddie have built a lovely friendship over the last few months, ever since he met her when he picked dustin up from the library. that’s when it happened. that’s when he got hit. an arrow straight through his heart.

his angel — because she must be an angel, with the way the sun followed her around and made her shimmer — was aiding dustin with his search, trying to find books on supernatural lore that he could take inspiration from for the campaign he was putting together. it was dustin’s first campaign in his hellfire club career, and he was taking it very seriously to eddie’s amazement and amusement. but whatever thoughts about dungeons and dragons that were swirling around his head cleared completely at the sight of her; in her white sandals, knee-length white silky skirt, and alice in wonderland graphic tank top she was a sight to behold. a mirage. a dream. sunny disposition, bright smile, fidgety hands, and the most enchanting voice— a siren call, really. and eddie was hooked. it didn’t help that dustin talked his ear off about the nice girl that was quick to provide him with an immense list of folklore and magic lore books that could help him, about fairytales and whimsical creatures.

“she talked about fairies as if she were one, dude, it was sick!” dustin gushed.

eddie noticed the kid kept going back to the same library, kept entering his van afterwards with a list of books and another cute tale revolving around the pretty angel girl of eddie’s dreams. until one day dustin looked all nervous and coy and a little scared, and yeah, usually eddie loved to invoke that same reaction from him, but this time he didn’t know the reason behind it, behind the kid’s hesitant gaze. and truly it couldn’t have been a better reason. dustin wanted the mystery angel to be able to attend hellfire, to watch his campaign.

“‘s the least i can do, man! she helped me with a lot of it and she was like- super interested in my shirt and stuff, please?” eddie’s quick reply, the resounding ‘yes’ he couldn’t hold back, caught dustin by surprise but he didn’t question it. don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and all that, right?

angel showed up in a long skirt with a flower pattern, converse shoes, and a black queen shirt tucked in. braided hair, lipgloss, and a tupperware box filled with chocolate chip cookies for the whole club.

“my thanks for letting me crash your campaign.”

eddie was hooked. once the session was done and the boys were gone, thanking her profusely for the treats after they picked her brain for cryptid lore, she stayed behind to help eddie tidy up, and they talked about music. she was shy, incredibly so, soft spoken and giggly and socially awkward, but she laughed at eddie’s jokes and playfully teased him once or twice, and complimented his bats tattoo, so eddie offered her a ride home. she gracefully declined, claiming she drove herself, so he walked her to her car instead.

plans were made so that she attended each of dustin’s campaign sessions and through those sessions, the clean up afterwards, the talks about music and bands and movies, their time together evolved to going for milkshake afterwards, a coffee shop for some hot chocolate sometimes, and a friendship blossomed. a very strong one at that.

being alone, living alone, existing alone was kind of her thing— she preferred to be by herself, to indulge in her hobbies on her own, because she was anxious. extremely anxious. but apparently not at all reserved about it or ashamed of talking about it, which was proven by the fact that she casually let it slip pass her lips that she had an anxiety disorder the very first time she was alone with eddie after hellfire.

not a single sign of shame or guilt in admitting it, and eddie admired that.

admired that she was a loner even though she was so polite and kind, ready to send anyone she walked past a smile because she knew how much it mattered to those who needed a little kindness. a quiet soul but couldn’t shut up if you cared enough to figure out her interests, she laughed at everything, giggled without reason sometimes, talked to herself a lot, was often lost in daydreams, had a dark sense of humor surprisingly. complex but friendly. eddie couldn’t get enough, always wanting to find out more about her, to talk to her more, to understand her more.

but most importantly, in her opinion, eddie allowed her to be herself without any judgment. encouraged her even. and that was priceless. so yes, a strong friendship bloomed, but neither one of them wanted to stop at just that. the dark haired boy was quickly aware of his growing feelings, his attraction, his infatuation that turned to love, while his angel didn’t clock in on her emotions quite so fast, being entirely inexperienced and lacking any previous romantic validation. her anxiety and introverted tendencies played a part in that too, probably.

but that’s alright, eddie is more than okay with waiting for her to catch up.

Part 2 of my Paris special commentary (Part 1 here) because Tumblr is an ass and has a word limit.

Disclaimer: This is long asf.

Marinette here playing 5D chess, queen shit.

The most important thing the special confirmed is that Gabe added the word "dark" to his transformation phrase on purpose cause he's a dramatic bitch.

I am here for Claw Noir mocking Gabe. Go off, king.

"Oh nO, iT WAs aN IlLusIon!" That giggle is adorable. She's so cute.

Ladyfly is an ass name, but she looks so great.

Not Gabe getting annoyed at Claw Noir's teasing. See, now this is why we stan Claw Noir on this blog.

Gabe's plan isn't half bad, actually.

Symbolism? In my children's cartoon? It's more likely than you think.

They're having a pun-off.

RIP Chat Noir's ear.

A mirror, I called it. It'll make for some nice symbolism.

"Let alone a calm and gentle mom" I wonder what Sabine is like in their world to make Emonette feel like she's so alone.

I like how they handled the villains tbh. I wasn't a fan of making it seem like Marinette was one step away from becoming a supervillain at all times, but it seems less like that's the case and more like The Supreme took advantage of her suffering and vulnerability at her lowest moments.

It's also nice that they established that Shady and Claw weren't the actual big bads and are just hurt kids who got recruited into a fight they weren't ready for. Their motivation isn't some rehash of Gabriel's, they are literally trying to survive under the rule of someone who will kill them if they don't do his bidding, and because of whom they're dying. Their life is literally full of suffering and they're trying to find something that'll give them a way out. Shady wants Marinette's life, and Claw Noir wants his mother back.

Like, it doesn't excuse their actions, but it does add a more humane element to them that lends itself better to the kind of redemption Miraculous likes to do, which is to fix things with a speech. That's why this redemption works, and Gabe's doesn't.

Anyway.

The back and forth between Chat Noir and Claw Noir was pretty funny ngl.

And we discover that Claw Noir wants his mother back. Of course.

MY POOR BABY

When Marinette was talking about how she was also angry and hurt, but chose to love herself and the world around her and chose to try and fix it... that hit hard. Honestly, it did. It's everything I love about Marinette in one speech. I love it.

And then onto my personal favorite scene in the entire special, possibly in the entire show.

That whole conversation was powerful. "I'm as well as I can be anyway," that's so profound. Like, of course you aren't going to be 100% okay after losing someone you love, but Adrien wants to move on and be happy like his mother would have wanted him to. This scene really showcases Adrien's empathy and his strength, when he acknowledges that having no friends can make it harder for Claw Noir to move on, and then he tells him that only he can make the choice to stop being alone. And that's really true. This scene really showcases everything amazing about Adrien, his hope and optimism, his empathy and his strength. How he finds the strength to keep going by choosing to not be alone. It's beautiful.

Like, it could have been so easy for both Marinette and Adrien to give into their darkest impulses, and Shadybug and Claw Noir really are just representations of how letting your hurt overpower you can lead you down a dark path, and it really highlights their strength, that they choose to make the right choices everyday, despite everything. It really highlights their characters and their arcs. And they're able to take everything they've learned, and look at what they could have been in the eyes and help them change too. It's so poetic.

It would have been a little more impactful if the show had spent more than 10 minutes out of 5 seasons focusing on Adrien's grief and how it has impacted him, but whatever.

Anyway, it also had some Adrien and Nino friendship crumbs, and I'll be darned if I didn't gobble it up like a starved animal. Also, we have confirmation that "Space Mutants vs. Ghost Shark" is Nino's favorite movie, so Nino stans please say "thank you Paris special."

And they are REDEEMED.

Shadybug fixes everything with her Lucky Charm after spending the whole special making destructive ones. My heart.

Shadybug and Claw Noir stop being evil and immediately go from hating each other's guts to flirting shamelessly. They just speedran enemies to lovers in a matter of seconds. They literally just defaulted to flirting. Truly, the natural state of Ladynoir in any universe. We stan.

Gotta be honest, I'm not a fan of the new designs. Wish they had kept the old ones. I'm one of those people whose toxic trait is liking Claw Noir's design, so I'm a little unhappy with it, but hey, it's a sweet scene.

Also, Claw Noir's hair went from the color of rotten bananas to ripe bananas. If that was intentional, I applaud the writers for being both profound and funny as hell.

Aaaaaaand Gabe is back, because we can't have nice things.

The montage going through different realities was great, it was small but I enjoyed it.

They're literally so cute omg. Couple behaviors fr. I'm so obsessed with them.

They're holding hands... already... like they're in love... I'm so emotional... I WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS

And they're gone. But their adventures will continue forever in my mind and in my fanfics. And in other people's art that I will ravenously consume.

Cute Alya and Marinette scene. This is really sweet, I love the exploration of the impact Alya has had on Marinette's life.

And now, I'm not an Alyanette shipper, but I think they should kis- oh, wait, never mind, they did it.

And thus, the endless night comes to an end (it happened a while ago but that's just semantics).

Final thoughts

I really loved this so much. Sure, there were some exposition dumps that probably should have happened in the actual series, but that's not the fault of this special. This is probably my bias talking but this is the best special and it's literally perfect, no I will not take any constructive criticism on that. This, this special and everything in it, this is what Miraculous is all about. This is exactly what I wanted, this is what I signed up for. It's literally the best thing ever to come out of this entire show.

Don't Call Me Stupid

Steve was used to being the dumb one. He was the kid in class that would ask stupid questions that the other kids and sometimes even the teacher would laugh at. He never quite understood what teachers were saying in class or what the words written on the board were supposed to mean with their squiggly letters that jumped around. Eventually he learned not to raise his hand at all. Better to be confused than embarrassed, right?

Nancy, when they were dating, would always call him an idiot. He brushed it off at the time but looking back, it made him wonder. If he was a little bit smarter, a little more astute, would things have gone differently? Would Nancy have sought comfort in him instead of running off to Jonathan? Would he have noticed Barb’s disappearance from his yard that started all of this in the first place? He had to wonder but even that wouldn’t change anything.

His stupidity was also a highlight point for his parents to focus on. He once was the popular jock, an airhead but one that was popular and good at sports. Now, he was just a deadbeat that barely graduated high school and certainly couldn’t get into college. He was a loser working at a dead-end job that was going nowhere in life. Ah, what pride he brought to his parents now. He could only grieve the life he used to lead every time he saw his parents staring at him in disdain. At least he had the Party… right?

It was a well known fact throughout the Party that Steve was a little slow. His brain worked at a different pace than the rest of them, a concept woefully apparent to everyone. His brain was focused on the music underlying the Russian code and the Black Widows underneath the floorboards. He was the last to connect the dots and truly only helped the Party by taking hits to the head. They only kept him around to take the hits after all.

Even Robin, his best friend in the world, his platonic soulmate with a capital P, called him a dingus on a near hourly basis. Sure, it was affectionate now but it started as a derogatory term to poke fun at his intelligence, or lack thereof. He was a fool in her eyes, affectionate or not. Even still, he was just the dumbass that slept around with half of Hawkins, a sassy soundboard for her to bounce lesbian crushes off of.

He was used to being called stupid but it still hurt every time.

So in the first fight he and Eddie have as a couple, it really hits a sore spot when Eddie hisses, “what are you, stupid?”

All of the fight drained out of Steve in an instant leaving a broken, empty shell in its place. His anger melted away to reveal the hurt hidden underneath. “You should go.”

“What? No, we’re talking this through,” Eddie shook his head, giving him a look of confusion.

“I probably won’t understand anyways since I’m so stupid. So you should go, save your breath. Whatever you think is probably right anyways.” With that, Steve walks up the stairs to his bedroom and locks the door behind him. He pulls his old Walkman over his ears and lets the sad tones of Queen’s All Dead, All Dead wash over him.

He was sick of being treated like trash by everyone he talked to. Everyone that was supposed to love him; his parents, Nancy, Robin, Eddie, the kids. They all thought he was a dumbass. She's allegiance-only. We know nothing about this woman. There's a Missing Kit statement that she got her name for being a "Fierce Fighter" and that's it. So obviously I'm obsessed with her and I'm giving her stuff to do in BB <3

I might have do the Sparring Buddies to Lovers slowburn or I might just have them remain friends... but in any case here she is. A future buddy of Nightcloud. Girl who has positive opinions on Nightcloud but never really said anything until Nightcloud reached out.

Are you READY for RANDOM INFORMATION THAT I COMPLETELY MADE UP FOR HER? LETS GO

She LOVES kibble. It's her favorite food. She can't even begin to try and recreate the dish at home because then it would be known that she regularly takes food from humans.

Willowclaw is known as one of the strongest warriors in WindClan, but also one of the most secretive. She barely talks and her Clanmates gossip about her a lot because she's so mysterious.

She secretly speaks a fair amount of Seamew because she does hang out with local barn cats and loners. Yew probably learned some Clanmew from her.

That's also where her three kits came from, various local toms. She claimed Queen's Rights of course.

Those kits are Furzepelt, Boulderfur, and Dewspots.

(I wish I could give Dewspots some kits of her own too... but WindClan has sooo fewww catsss)

Her family is 100% different from the Missing Kit statement; her mother and father are Robinflight (prev. Robinwing WC) and Whintail (prev. Gorsetail TNP), her brothers are Owlwhisker and Weaselfur.

Willowclaw is probably slightly older than her brothers, and she looks NOTHING like them. I'm not sure if she was adopted or if one of her parents had an affair but I don't think she's completely related to Owl and Weasel.

Aftergathering attender. Brings kibble and drives a hard bargain to any cat who's curious about what crunchies taste like.

When she's in camp she's usually training, likes border patrols.

She's known as a loner, but she pulls her weight and isn't CHRONICALLY absent so she's left to it.

Anyone who talks bad about her can get clobbered if they want; she's not afraid to exercise her Right to Challenge.

Honestly though? She has good opinions about Nightcloud (strong, hardworking, polite, yet not a total pushover), but she thinks Breezepelt is a bad egg. She's not entirely unfounded in that opinion either-- Furzepaw was Breezepelt's apprentice, and he brought her into the Dark Forest with him. Furzepelt later runs off with him and Sunstrike to join The Kin, too.

(her relationship with furze was... strained. She loves her daughter, but blames most of her problems on Breezepelt. She doesn't understand why she can't just be like Dew and Boulder.)

Meanwhile HARESPRING, blessed boy, mentor of her sweet boy BOULDERFUR, is going to make a wonderful deputy because he has learned from his mistakes. Thank the Stars it wasn't Crowfeather.

She's one of the few cats who fins Crowfeather absolutely INSUFFERABLE. Egotistical little freak. It's no wonder Breezepelt turned out the way he did, when Crowf is SO full of himself. She was popping the FRESH kibble when Onestar stripped him of his Honor Title and exiled him for a while as Just Crow.

But, these opinions, she keeps to herself. Willowclaw rarely does more than react with a smug smile or a grumble-- and she CERTAINLY doesn't get involved in politics. Which is a shame because she's strong and senior enough to be considered for the role of Deputy, but she's really not a leader.

When she makes friends with Nightcloud, she'll be in camp a lot more, almost like Night's "melting" her shell a bit. It's met with baffled rumors from the other WindClan cats. Was it really THAT easy? Nightcloud just asking to hang out with Willowclaw more? THAT'S what got her to be more social?

"Yes," She deadpans, side-eyeing anyone who's still talking, "Maybe they just weren't interesting enough."

I got bored again, so for the third time, here are random things I noticed throughout my rewatch of Nimona.

As always, Nimona Spoilers!

To start off, a few people pointed out how the first time Nimona shows up on screen, we see her doing a graffiti of the word dumb. Also, rewatching some of the scenes, in the scene where she shows the new murder wall, you can make out the word "Nemesis" written over Ambrosius' picture. Also, if you look at the very top of the wall, we can see a drawing of Bal's prosthetic with flames coming out of it with the words "Literal Firearm" written under it. So, I rethought it, and realized Gloreth was probably the first human Nimona had ever seen (as far as we know), so Gloreth probably taught her to speak, write and read, except this was a thousand years ago, and language constantly evolves, and we can all agree that "From whence you came" and "Nemesis" aren't really phrases or words people seem to use. So, I think Nimona probably has some knowledge when it comes to reading and writing, both thanks to Gloreth and just picking up bits and pieces throughout those 1000 years, but she still has trouble when it comes to full on writing actual long phrases to create like an essay or something like a resume.

When she pins back Am's picture on the wall, we see a post it with "Disrupt the System" written and highlighted on it.

We get a hint that Nimona might be "Gloreth's monster" when we see a drawing of her in dragon form that kinda resembles the dragon we see at the beginning in the scrolls.

When Bal calls Nim a monster, there is literally a newspaper cut out on the wall next to him with his picture and the word "Monster" written on it.

We get a bit of insight on the type of pressure Ambrosius suffers from when we get back to the Institute. All the other knights seem to think it's his fault for not having stopped Bal from escaping, despite a whole horde of knights chasing after him and not one of them even coming close to stopping him from escaping either. The other knights, despite probably not knowing the full extent of it, seem to be aware of the close relationship between the two of them, putting him under even more pressure because of that small fact.

When the Director stops the fight between Ambrosius and Todd, she tells them; "Look at you, acting like common children." Reminder that everyone is fully aware that Bal was a commoner and is currently suspected to having killed the queen. She is basically telling them; "Those people are very clearly below us and one of them is a murderer and a villain, and yet you are acting like them."

When Am volunteers to lead the manhunt for Bal, we can clearly see him go slightly worried for Bal as Todd is talking about how he'll make Bal pay. He probably volunteered because he wanted to lessen the chances of Bal getting hurt.

Like I mentioned in another post, Nimona often tries to get Bal to understand that the Institute is filled lies, but not by directly telling him. She starts by giving little hints. One example of him is when she tries to tell him that maybe there's nothing over the wall. I talk about it more in this post.

Nimona is quick enough to go up an escalator that goes down, but a literal knight who has gone through harsh training isn't.

Todd knows that Am's hair smells like lavender. In flower language, lavender is associated with purity, silence, devotion, caution, serenity, grace and calmness. That sounds an awful lot like qualities the Institute would expect a direct descendant of Gloreth to posses, doesn't it?

I'll stop here, cause this is starting to get long.

Unrelated, but I decided to watch Nimona with my siblings (13, 7 and 5) and they all loved it. The best part for me was that my homophobic aunt watched the bit where Bal and Am kiss, started freaking out that I was pushing it onto them, and then my 13 years old brother just commented about how she kept forcing him to watch her romance movies with her and was always pushing him to "get a girlfriend for them to meet" and she just shut up and left. Just wanted to put that out there.

Okay, I know he may seem like a womanizer and someone who enjoys... Sexual attraction a little too much.

But he knows that wearing it is important for you and your religion. He's goofy, not a asshole.

Homestly, he thinks you're beautiful no matter what you may wear, and he makes sure to always remind you.

He thinks you're both actually kinda matching, since he always wears that damn ass hat that covers his hair.

If you wear long clothes too, the pistols love to hide in your pockets.

And break the kneecaps of anyone giving you unwanted attention.

Narancia 🍊

Lowkey thought it was just a fashiob choice at first and didn't understand that it was connected to your religion.

Once you specified it to him though, he didn't question it and just accepts it as part of you.

He thinks the hijabi makes you look cute and he loves to show off how pretty you are with his friends all the time.

Loves to be close to you because you're so warm even though he's already a living sun.

Once asked you if he could put his headband on top of your hijab to see how it'd look.

He's this close to shooting away anyone who dares judge you for it again.

Fugo 🍓

Okay I believe that Fugo grew up in a strictly catholic household. While he's smart, he doesn't know pretty much anything about other religions, sorry :,)

He's very keen on understanding it more though! Especially since it's weird to him to not feel intelligent for once-

Asks you oddly specific questions about the way you dress or your traditions in general and probably writes it down. He doesn't mean it in a judgy way, he just really wants to make sute he gets it.

Thinks you actually look super pretty with it but he's bad at showing it, please be patient.

Although you pretty much look like opposites, Trish thinks you're beautiful no matter what and always fills you with compliments to make sure you never forgets.

Doesn't know much about your religion, reads about it in her spare time just to surprise you and show that she appreciates you.

Tries to match with you by wearing long dresses.

Y/N was known as the ice queen because of her attitude and her physical and mental strength. Y/N was first overall in her class, excelling in fighting, and was outstanding in her knives and gun performance. She also only had 5 fears coming in second with the least amount of fear.

Y/N only liked a handful of people and even then sometimes she didn't like them. She was originally from Candor so sometimes she could be really blunt on those who annoy her.

Y/N sat in the Dauntless cafeteria eating peacefully alone, which she liked for being an introvert. Hey Y/N said Uriah in his usual happy tone, Yes Uriah, what do you need? I was just wondering if I could have your chocolate cake, Uriah said begging with hands clasped together. She couldn't say no and offered him half the cake, she knew people called her Ice Queen because of her cold attitude but that doesn't mean she was heartless.

After Uriah left she decided to leave the mess hall and get some training done. She left not noticing a certain blue-eye leader watching her.

She punched the bag as hard as possible she knew her hands were probably bruised but she didn't care. Sweat highlighted her face and her back where her cropped clothes were. Eric watched how precise she hit the bag, her hair sticking to her forehead because of the sweat and her leggings hugging and showing off all her curves.

He decided to make his presence known instead of watching her like a stalker. Hey, he said in his deep cold tone, mentally slapping himself with what he said. What? Y/N questioned why Eric was there. I need a sparing partner and lucky for you, I choose you. But seeing her reaction she didn't seem thrilled and asked why couldn't I train with four? What your kidding right I rather stick a catus in my ass than be in the same room as him.

reluctantly she said yes because she knew Eric fought hard and would help her be better. They fought long and hard neither one of them wanting to back down for their reputation and dignity were on the line. Y/N decided to hit him in the dick hoping he would back down but he didn't. They continued for so long that they lost track of time, and they both decided to call it a day seeing it was already 4 in the afternoon. This wasn't the end, Y/N was determined to win against the fierce leader. They decided to go their separate ways saying goodnight to each other both sour they didn't win.

TIME SKIP

Y/N woke up early in the morning like every day doing the same routine. wake up, take a shower, put on some clothes, eat some breakfast, and go to the gym for her morning workout. But today was different considering she saw a person wearing white and black clothes, she knew this person had to be from Candor. Who the person was shocked her, Alex is that you? Y/N said but didn't wait for his response and hugged him really tight. Everyone and their mama was shocked to see the cold and introverted girl hugging someone and smiling for the first time. This scene baffled Eric, this girl whom he had never seen smile, smiling at some guy. Fine, he would admit it he was definitely jealous of the guy.

Eric walks down the stairs into the pit able to see Y/N and that guy more clearly. He went up towards Y/N, his presence was dominating like fire you could get burned. Eric was not here to be nice and knew his dark aura scared the kid. Alex was 5'11 but compared to Eric who was 6'1, was short. Alex introduced himself as Y/N's childhood friend even though Eric couldn't care less who the Hell this guy was. I'm Eric a Dauntless leader here but the first thing Alex said was that he looked too young to be a leader, he wouldn't be saying that if he knew how dangerous he was. Y/N answered seeing how uncomfortable Alex had seemed, and said age doesn't matter here but your strength.

Y/N had left Eric not before saying goodbye and took Alex on a tour through Dauntless. It was lunchtime and Eric was not happy and everyone knew that from the scorn on his face. He walked through the mess hall catching the eye of Y/N laughing at something that Alex guy said. That made his mood even more sour, he sat at the leader's table trying to listen to the conversation. Instead, Max noticed how in thought Eric looked, Eric was like a son to Max. What's wrong Eric? Max knew about the crush Eric had on Y/N. It's Y/N and that guy, Eric said but just mentioning the guy gave him the ick. Max suggested talking to Y/N at the party tonight would help.

Eric had dressed in a black T-shirt and Black pants, showing off his muscles. Eric was standing off to the side not wanting to dance or talk to people, he looked around for Y/N with a beer in his hand occasionally taking sips. He was astonished when he saw Y/N she looked absolutely beautiful in a black corset top and black jeans with black boots, she wore light makeup, and her long hair was curled. But his mood instantly changed when he saw Alex walk in beside her heading to the bar.

I was enjoying the party and felt hot, Alex was next to me ordering us both drinks. Alex had convinced me to go to the party because He didn't want to go alone and had heard how lit Dauntless parties were and he was hoping to get laid tonight. Alex was already drunk and now was making out with a random girl, I felt extremely uncomfortable and looked around trying to occupy myself but instead catching the attention of a certain blue-eyed leader.

I saw him leaving the party and decided to follow him, he had turned down this dark hallway, and it was empty. Suddenly I was pushed to the wall with a hand near my head and another on my waste keeping me steady. I felt someone's breathing on my neck, I looked up and saw Eric, his blue eyes had turned dark, and his chest was pushed up to mine preventing me from leaving not like I wanted to anyway. Where's your boy toy princess? Eric whispered in my ear, I felt butterflies in my stomach. What are you talking about? I whispered nervously, the sexual tension was so thick you could cut with a knife. He looked at me up and down, and I immediately blushed under his gaze. He had a smirk on his face but it went away, he had asked me where's Alex was? I told him the truth he was at the party making out with some girl. He looked at me and said he expected me to be sad, and that was when I realized Eric thought I was dating Alex.

Eric did you think I was dating Alex because I'm not, Eric just pushed harder into the wall giving him and me no space between each other. Instead, I told him I like someone else, who is it? Eric grunted looking into my eyes, Well he is strong, handsome, has this dominating personality, and these beautiful blue eyes- Not a second later Eric was kissing me, It was amazing, I never believed people when they say when you kiss someone you feel sparks. But when Eric kissed me it felt like a wave of energy came, I eagerly kissed him back. Eric put his hands on my waste where I could feel his hands rubbing my hips, it caused me to slightly open my mouth and Eric to kiss me harder. We pulled away and smiled at each other, You don't know how long I was waiting to do that princess. Well maybe you should do it again and that's was exactly what he did.

However, things don’t go as expected… Warning!: Cursing, Thoughts of Self-Harm (No harm though!)

Glimmering glass chandeliers, bubbling champagne, and a cast of incredibly wealthy persons that all seem to know one another only skin deep…

This scenery is straight out of any romance novel conveying star-crossed lovers of opposing social classes. Though you had to admit, the authors really nailed it. You always thought that at least some of it had to be a little embellished. Yet just as they say, even the ceiling of this immense manor is painted with glorious recounts of Belobog’s long history with awe-inspiring detail.

Your fingers squeeze around the stem of your champagne glass.

The nobles that have gathered are all dressed to the nines. Some even go so far as to wear flowers that are worth at least six years of your own pay. You gulp when you catch sight of a few of the noble ladies standing off to the side in a huddled corner with handheld fans up, covering the lower part of their faces. Quickly, you avert your gaze.

You already know they’re talking about you. Not that it matters. Gossip is a game for the small-minded and weak-willed.

Though you can’t help a certain thought that keeps besieging your mind.

Should you really be here?

“There you are!” Serval calls excitedly with no bother to maintain the rules of decorum as she hurries over to you.

Her outfit fits the atmosphere but you feel a sense of pride to see that she never took out her punk rock highlights. It gives you a sense of solidarity as there were a few things in your own look that you refused to change just for a single event.

She definitely gets a few irksome looks, for the mere sin of existing. But like the magnificent storm queen that she is, she doesn’t even care. Immediately, you feel like you’ve found refuge the second she hooks her arm around yours.

“Ugh, thank goodness that you’re here. I was about to lose my head just a moment ago,” she huffs lightly before leaning into you with a relieved smile, “Seriously. I’m really glad you came. I know this isn’t what you’re used to… but if I know Geppie, he’s going to love it that you're here.”

“You really think so?” you ask, still feeling a bit apprehensive.

“Of course! Oh god. You should see how he lights up whenever he mentions you. I swear, you’re like his favorite subject to talk about these days. He barely mentions work anymore. Thank you, by the way. That subject was getting a bit tiresome, but I never really knew how to break it to him, you know? I’m just still sore after the whole… Well… You know.”

Her cerulean eyes drift downwards.

Serval’s sudden termination from the Architects was definitely a huge blow. It was still fresh in her mind despite it happening over a few months ago. Even so, you could still see the cracks it left in her.

It was a miracle that she didn’t give up hope on everything entirely…

You squeeze her arm a little to bring her back to the present before she can drown herself in the past.

“Hey, let’s just enjoy ourselves then. We’ve been through hell. It’s the least we can do, right? We can even see this as, I dunno, reparations for stupid bullshit?”

“Reparations for Stupid Bullshit. RSB. I like it,” Serval laughs with a delighted nod, gladly going with the flow, “Yeah. Let’s do that.”

She squeezes you back. An appreciative thank you.

The two of you end up tearing up the tables filled with fancy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while chatting about everything and nothing. By the time the great big announcement comes around, both you and Serval are incredibly - and happily - drunk. Restraint isn’t exactly a strong suit for either of you. It’s probably why you get along so well.

When Gepard is announced as the next Captain of the Guard, you both end up hooting and hollering like fools. You get a few glances from those surrounding you and even Gepard breaches the usual protocol to peek.

But he doesn’t smile when he sees you.

Instead, his eyes widen, brows flying up. Then he turns to face front and center like the soldier he’s trained to be.

“...”

A sudden sick, sinking feel forms in your chest.

What was that?

It doesn’t help that you’re intoxicated. The wall that usually keeps the worst thoughts out suddenly isn’t there anymore. Worries flood you without hindrance.

The dam of reason isn’t there to protect you.

“The hell was that?” Serval says, only escalating your worries, “He saw us, right?”

You purse your lips tightly, unable to reply.

Gepard receives praise from both of his parents as well as a few renowned dignitaries. It takes everything you have to keep Serval from breaking into tears at the sight of Cocolia. Serval ends up holding your hand with such a tight grip that her fingernails dig into your skin. But you let it happen. You know how deep those emotional wounds have cut…

She’s barely holding herself together.

“Serval…”

“Don’t tell me we should go. I-I deserve to be here too,” she insists shakily which is remarkably perceptive for own so heavily inebriated, “If anything… she’s the one that doesn’t belong here… This is my home. My home.”

The pain in her voice pulls at every heartstring inside of you. But you have to be the least drunk between you. …Since sobriety is long, long gone.

“I… need to use the bathroom,” you say.

It’s not a lie entirely. Besides, she won’t question it. You don’t know your way around this place like she does.

“Oh shit. Sorry. Yeah, of course. Come on. I’ll take you… woah. Um… Let me hang onto you.”

It takes a little while to find a washroom. It seems Serval’s mind keeps getting muddled from having seen Cocolia. But you keep your patience. It’s what you’d want from your friend if this ever happened to you…

By the time you get to a nearby empty washroom, you barely shut the door when you hear Serval breaking into tears. Your heart becomes heavier than you’re used to. Maybe because you’re pretty sure that you’re bound for one more heartbreak today.

Gepard’s face the moment he saw you in the crowd has yet to leave your mind.

As much as you’d like to hope… you feel that you already know.

He didn’t tell them…

You sit there on the closed toilet for barely a moment before breaking out into silent tears.

This… always… happens.

You try to keep quiet as best you can. You don’t like expressing your pain to others. Your upbringing discouraged showing weakness of any kind. To those around you at that time… you were an incessant inconvenience.

Even still, you hear a soft knock on the door.

Serval sniffles just behind it.

“Are you crying?” she asks with a genuine sweetness behind it, despite her own anguish, that just makes something inside of you crumble to dust.

A sob escapes despite your damnedest attempts to keep it in.

You don’t want to be a burden.

Yet before you know it, she’s already come in and hugs you tightly without reservation. You don’t remember how long the two of you bawl your eyes out, but it’s enough that Serval has to reapply both her and your makeup.

Every noble wears makeup and she’ll be damned if she lets one of her few closest friends walk around shabby.

“Hey, hey. I know you’re worried…” she says while gently applying another coat of foundation on your cheeks, “But I’m telling you, my brother would never ever do that to you. Ugh… He’s nothing like that con man. Ugh… I’m so sorry that I even introduced you to that jerk. He just… He didn’t seem like that, you know?”

She popped her foundation away back into her hidden dress pocket before pulling out some eyeliner to fix the mess under your eyes.

“Geppie is different. I swear. I’ve never heard him tell a lie in his whole life.” Her motions slow as she remembers the look he gave both of you during the celebration of his promotion. “I… I’m sure he had his reasons for reacting so weird. Maybe he was just really surprised?”

You smile weakly despite not believing that.

“You’re probably right,” you fib.

Damn. You were already exhibiting bad habits from said someone…

“Don’t worry. We’ll talk to him soon.”

And just like that, the two of you return to the party though it’s mostly over and done with. Only a few of the major boozehounds stay for the free alcohol while others try some last minute attempts to schmooze with those of higher standing.

Eventually, Serval learns where Gepard retreated off to in search of some solace.

“This’ll be great. I’m sure of it,” she says as she pulls you along.

But with every step, you feel like you’re nearing an execution. The type that can tear the very soul in half while keeping the physical body intact.

“Stay here,” she whispers to you, leaving you just outside the doors before dramatically shoving them open, “Little bro!”

You can hear the shifting of his armor along with his footsteps as he turns to face his older sister.

“Serval…”

Gepard's voice sounds heavy. No matter how much you rewind it in your head, there’s no mirth in it.

“Surprised?” she asks as she hugs him suddenly, “Didn’t think I’d miss your big day, did you?”

“...”

“Gepard?” she asks before leaning back to eye him better.

“You shouldn’t have brought them…” he murmurs but it’s not low enough that you can’t catch it.

The ground beneath you becomes like thin ice over a frigid lake. Each word he says produces a fresh crack, branching out to assure your inevitable destruction.

“What? What do you mean? Aren’t you glad to see them? Gepard, you two are dating. Of course, I’d-” Serval then suddenly stops.

You drop your head as you feel an uncomfortable heat rising along your neck and ears.

Mortification.

She takes a step back.

“You didn’t tell them?” she asks but she’s not really asking.

Her tone sounds utterly appalled.

“I-I was working on it!”

“Gepard! You said-!”

“I know what I said!”

You can’t take anymore.

Removing your shoes, your footfalls become nearly silent as you make a desperate retreat for the nearest open balcony. The freezing air greets you the moment you step out. With a shudder, you make it to the nearest portable heater, switching it on. With time, it glows a gentle orange that reminds you of the Geomarrow where you’re really from…

The place that you should feel ashamed of…

A tear escapes you but you quickly wipe it away, refusing to cry any longer.

Then… in just that moment…

A crazy thought invades your mind.

This is very high up.

…Anything could happen.

A despairing croak escapes you as you grip onto yourself tightly.

No, no, no. Not these thoughts.

Anything but these thoughts!!

It’s like fighting against the blinding cold winds of the Great Freeze. There’s no escape and before you know it, you’re completely lost within its windchill.

If only you hadn’t left… Being alone and disturbed with far too much alcohol always makes for a tragedy waiting to happen…

Please… Someone… I don’t… I don’t want…

And then the improbable happens.

A light flickering in the distance.

At first, it seems random until you realize it remarkably seems like the code that-

No bloody way.

‘Hey there, friend.’

That’s what it says.

Your eyes widen.

No way, no way, no way.

Quickly, you pull out the pocket mirror Serval had lent you. Well, given you, but it was way too expensive to keep on your person. You would sneak it back into the untouched mounds within her workshop later.

For now, you pop it open and use the mirror to reflect the light to message back.

‘Friend or foe?’

You wait with great anticipation for the next reply. At first, you think it might not come, but it does.

‘Friend?’

A desperate laugh escapes you as you can tell right away who this is.

‘Idiot.’

He doesn’t miss a beat.

‘Your idiot.’

You frown.

‘Not mine.’ You correct firmly.

Then nothing. A part of you gets tense.

Did you ruin it? If so, then was it for the best?

But those thoughts vanish when you finally see the light flash again.

‘Are you okay?’

Now it was your turn to give pause. Were you okay?

Your hands trembled around the mirrors as fresh tears fell. This was a pivotal moment. You could feel it.

The air felt like it had been sealed in an invisible vacuum. Static silently building within…

You look toward where you came from.

Neither Landau has come for you…

Too busy bickering, no doubt.

You lightly bite down on your tongue to try and stop the tears but it’s futile.

‘Not okay.’

The next response is so quick that you nearly miss it.

‘SOS?’

You tense.

Your next response will be huge for what happens next…

‘SOS?’ He asks again. “...”

No. The pain is too much. You want out.

‘SOS.’

You wait a few minutes there for a response or anything… but there’s nothing. Your shoulders drop with regret at showing even a hint of your vulnerability to an ex of all people. He probably just found your pain entertaining. Maybe he was taking pictures on his phone right now.

Well, might as well give him the best shot.

You weep quietly from where you lean against the railing… only to feel a sudden rumble from the west side of the manor. It… felt like the kind of shockwaves a bomb gives.

Did he just-?!

The clanking of metallic armor stomping down the halls fills your ears as commands are shouted at length. You debate leaving the balcony but now you’re scared. What if you’ve been lured into a trap? What if you’ll be made the scapegoat? What if-

“Hey there.”

You turn to see the dual dagger-wielding rogue lifting himself with ease over the railing. You were at least three stories high… Had he really just scaled all of that on his own?

Those enchanting green eyes capture you in an instant as they seem equally mesmerized to see you again. A relieved smile spreads across his face as he tilts his head.

“Heard you wanted a swift exit?”

- she’s a very physical player considering the main (the only reason i’ve seen that’s not entirely misogyny) reason women don’t become nhlers is the lack of hitting in women’s leagues and she wants to prove that she can be useful in that aspect of the game

the first time she hits jack he is not expecting it and the hits are consistent until they get to know each other and then she pulls a tiny bit

he’s blushing and kicking his feet and whatever and nico is like you’re fucking delusional kid

- she’s either drafted in 2019, 2020, or 2021

if she’s drafted in 2019, she initially sticks to cole like literal glue and that’s how she meets jack, who of course embarrasses the shit out of himself drunk and says something that happened to be a deep rooted insecurity of hers. she gets over it and during the summer she makes plans with cole again and jacks there, and this time he can handle his alcohol a little better and makes a better impression - when they start hooking up he remembers the night and feels like an ASS cause he now realizes why she avoided him like the plague

for 2020, it’s dawson she meets first, which makes a lot of sense with his role in the au. she becomes really attached to him in a permanent way and the first time they play each other he invites her out. a lot of the devils are confused and he’s like she’s cool i promise!! her on ice persona proves to be strictly for on ice shenanigans and a lot of them kind of feel bad as she’s definitely gotten some backlash for being a girl in the nhl. she’s getting advice from nico and she’s kinda tucked into dawson cause he’s her comfort person when jack comes up and also embarrasses himself cause he falls face first tripping over himself when he sees her out of her gear for the first time

if she’s drafted in 2021, jacks watching the live draft with luke and just as everything’s calming down with the excitement of luke going to the devils, the rangers announce that they’ve chosen you. they play a clip from your women’s league and from what he can see your game and energy is very similar to trevor’s (he hates it) and then later that night he sees the clip of you going around celebrating being the first woman drafted to the nhl and he goes back on that thought and cyber stalks you until your first time playing nj in which he meets you at the blue line for warmups and flirts so badly

- when quinn meets her in the media edit her and jack are already hooking up, and quinn doesn’t really piece that together cause she does a really good job at making fun of jack and avoiding his flirting

but jack?? is so obvious abt it

quinn’s convinced his little brother is getting off to her highlight reels

he only brings it up once she’s gone and he’s basically like ‘ur as red as your jersey and it’s pathetic but that whole ordeal was cute i guess. she’d fix you up,’

he’s like her comfort person and he’s one of the only people that she feels ok just going up to and like.. attack hugging when she’s upset

she is most often found standing under his arm and she’s always stealing ryleigh

cole is her #1 facetime buddy. he’s always on the phone while she’s like doing her hair or something. she has an automatic curling iron and he thinks it’s magic

he’s always her partner for chicken fight at the lake house cause ‘it’s harder to make short legs fall over’

very movie esque ‘duo that’s friends and nobody knows why cause they are so mean to each other’ vibes

nico is another one of her safe people cause after they were introduced in her first season she started going to him when she needed advice

he probably wasn’t the person to ask cause he wasn’t even all that experienced either at that time but regardless of if she took his advice she always felt like he understood

he likes to say that she trained him for his captaincy

he is protective as hell when it comes to her, too and he’s loud about it

seamus is her son. even while she’s a ranger. that is her son. she reaches out to him over instagram and is like how does moyle feel abt sharing?? cause i’m adopting you right now

she can’t stand him (affectionate) now that she knows him better but he still inspires her a lot and all of the attention he gets for his style drives her even more

- twitter was in a FRENZY during the asg and the whole all star weekend

since it’s in toronto in 23-24 i can so see her trying to make an impression on mitch cause she wants to talk hockey with him so bad and i’m gonna assume austons there too so jack is butthurt that she’s hanging out with him and at some point he plops next to her on the bench and is like ‘we’re gonna get a goal together and we should plan a celly’

she’s opposed until he’s like ‘fine i’ll just pick you up and make you celly with me then’ and she gives in

but whatever it is they choose to do has people going fucking INSANE on twitter and tiktok and then the next four points they get together they just start making it more and more elaborate and at the last one (y/n goal, jack primary a) he just slides onto his knees and grabs her legs while she’s essentially t posing and yelling

they absolutely have the most energy out of anyone there (i don’t really remember the asg so i don’t even remember if the players even celly?? but i mean 5 pts warrants a scream celly even if it’s a scrimmage)

jack wouldn’t normally be like that for an asg but he’s LOVING the fact that almost all cellys include a hug

she views the all star weekend as one of her favourite nights and weekends off all time cause it’s one of the only times that all of the love she was getting and the love for her and jack overpowered all of the misogynistic keyboard warriors that hate women whining on socials and she had a completely positive weekend where all of her teammates were actually supportive and she felt wanted

commentators DO lose their shit over the two of them having such good chemistry and because commentating in the nhl is so bad i can assume that the words ‘a devil and a ranger’ were said about 28392748374 times that night alone

i want to say she gets mvp for the weekend but knowing the nhl it would be jack

he does not shut up about her during his interviews he’s like ‘she deserves this just as much or more than i do’ and then MORE people go insane cause jack ‘i didn’t know there was a town in new jersey’ hughes is eloquently complementing a teammate during a SCRUM

- assuming her first game in the nhl was before his they would probably meet in the 22-23 playoffs while luke was still in the press box

jack already had a HUGE crush on her and when she meets luke in the parking lot, walking with dawson she’s like !!!!!!! luke !!!!!!!

he’s with jack and jacks kinda thinking to himself like ‘she’s never like !!!!!! jack !!!!!!!!’ and dawson, being dawson invites them for beers at her place and she gets really close with luke that night

they’re giggling like they’re telling each other secrets and dawson is like ‘dude grow a pair and go fucking talk to her’

the next day luke’s texting her on the couch and she’s calling him moosey and her contact name is very incriminating and jacks a GROCUH for the rest of the day

- rangers debut? or devs debut? both??? i’ll do both

her debut with the rangers is so awkward because obviously she was chosen and signed because she’s skilled and deserves her spot

but a lot of them just do not like her

it’s the biggest reason she requested her trade

the only friend she felt that didn’t secretly just hate her guts for existing was igor, who obviously couldn’t help her case much seeing as he’s stuck in the net

during her very first game she was on the third line and her line mates were trying their very best to keep the puck from her cause they didn’t trust her with it

during the third period they’re down by two and she just takes the puck and leaves with it while her centre is obviously trying to set up a play that she was not meant to be a part of

she goes for the five hole and pots it and they don’t even really celly with her other than going behind her to shake hands with the bench

this fixes nothing and they still don’t want her with the puck so the coach moves her up a line and there’s much better chemistry and cooperation despite them still not being her biggest fan

igor gets it to her for a breakaway and she goes bar down with him as the only assist

this is mostly because the other team is also really underestimating her and they feel like they don’t really need to be on her

they’re covering her line mates cause they’re assuming she’ll pass and set up the play especially since her pass was from the goalie

the game goes to a shootout and after the other team misses their third shot the coach just kinda looks at the bench and calls her name

she’s shocked and the arena is dead quiet when she goes out on the ice

like pin drop quiet

she wins them the game and pretty much tells them that if they underestimate her again she’ll just let them lose and that she was signed for a reason and they need to grow tf up

her devs debut goes much more smoothly. it’s definitely a little harder for her to score at this point cause the other teams aren’t underestimating her as much

however the tension with her and jack is at an all time high after that text conversation

the first point she scores is a goal and jack isn’t an assist, it’s bratter and johnny

during the celly she smiles at him cause she feels different than her rangers debut - she feels different with the team and she feels like they actually love her and want her around

he wants so badly to make it up to her for everything he said in his messages and all he can think to do right in that moment is to hold the back of her helmet and knock his visor against hers a little

halfway through the period things between them are going so much better and the chemistry is very much there

she assists on his goal and they recreate the celly from the all star game and then she screams in his face out of pure excitement

he’s smiling at her like she created the world and people go nuts for that whole thing

a little bit into the second period is her wonderwall concert

her and dawson are belting with each other and there’s a gifset that goes around of the two of them singing that pans to jack being all heart eyed for her

the next shift she gets another goal, this one assisted by him and luke and the vibes are absolutely immaculate

during the very same shift luke scores, assisted by her and jack and she jumps onto luke like a proud older sister and shakes jacks shoulders all excitedly

in the final period she scores her last goal to complete the hattrick, assisted solely by jack

that’s when she jumps into his arms and he kinda spins around with her and squeezes her tight so her skates come off the ice a little

dawsons on the ice for this one cause it was mid shift change and he fake gags at them

she sticks her tongue out at him and when he joins the hug jack slides down to his knees and hugs her legs like he did at the asg

dawson screams ‘you two are fucking disgusting’ at the top of his lungs and she throws her head back and laughs

the post game celly includes a lot of beer and a shot for every one of her points (it was a long night) (there was a lot of making out) (and a lot of dawson, luke and johnny being grossed out) (and a lot of nico being a proud dad)

- them being on the same team is so good for everyone involved

chemistry?? off the charts

when they lose?? hugs on the bench

when they win??? jittery hugs on the bench

during the playoffs?? anxious hugs on the bench

being eliminated? you guessed it,

she’s a safe space for a lot of the team cause she gets it but it’s different? if that makes sense

they don’t usually rely on each other for emotional support hugs but with her they feel like that’s normal

summary: charles comes up with an idea to make his girlfriend feel sexy and boost her self confidence

it probably happened out of the blue, after a couple of internet trolls decided to pick on y/n in the latest picture that charles had posted of the two of them

the underlying insecurity was always there, but she’s starting to feel like her insecurities are all that the world sees

charles comes home from the ferrari head office to find y/n in the middle of trying to purge her wardrobe

dressed in nothing but a bra and panties as she tries on and discards jeans and shirts in a messy pile on the queen sized bed

“my love, what’s going on?” charles asks, tone laced with concern as he picks up an old, well worn plaid flannel shirt “you love this shirt.”

“the internet doesn’t. the last time you posted a picture where I was wearing it, they said it made my boobs look to big, and that I looked like a farmers wife.”

charles is immediately taken aback by the negativity

he’s seen this happen before and it hurts his heart every single time

“I love your boobs. they’re the perfect size, mon amour. there is nothing wrong with your wardrobe, and there is nothing wrong with you. it hurts to know that you don’t see yourself the way that I do.”

and that’s when he gets the idea, sweeping the pile of clothes off the bed and ushering y/n to sit at the edge before he drapes the flannel over her shoulders, urging her to put it on over her mismatched lingerie

“no, no. don’t button it up, I want to show you something about yourself that I don’t think you see enough.”

“whatever your grand plan is, it’s stupid.”

“just trust me”

when he gets his phone camera out, y/n is so confused, especially when charles starts directing her movements

asking her to have the flannel sleeve hang off one shoulder, to sit cross legged on the bed

“hey do you remember when we took georges yacht out on the med and alex fell asleep so-“

y/n bursts out laughing, head back in glee and charles gets a picture as she finishes the story.

“george wrote a whole speech on his back in sunscreen about how george russell is the greatest f1 driver ever and alex burnt around the letters.”

when she brushes her hair out of her face, charles takes another picture

the conversation is so natural for the couple that y/n has forgotten that charles even has the camera out

“wait, what were we doing again?” y/n asks afterwards, when they’re both lying on the bed, collapsed in a fir of laughter

“let me show you something.”

that’s all he says before he passes her the phone, letting y/n flick through the pictures

they’re tasteful and beautiful, and they highlight everything about y/n that charles loves the most

her smile, her laugh, her slightly unshaven thighs, her boobs, her soft stomach that he so loves to rest his head on

When she starts to cry, he starts to panic

“charles is this really how you see me?”

“yes, why?”

he is fully thinking he’s done something wrong and he’s sos so so scared

“I look gorgeous.”

“you’re beautiful, ma cherie and I want you to see yourself that way all the time.”

followed by soft, loving kisses.

“I love you charles. thank you for helping me see myself this way.”

So not to spam but Just a genuine question. What would the Hantengu clones modern be like if they had a younger sister. Like a sister in toddler years who was genuinely kind, compassionate and well extremely innocent who nice to everyone? Just curious

I actually have thought about this before

Hantengu brothers with a Toddler sister

they all spoil her

like absolutely spoil her

but Sekido is also strict

she is NOT being an ipad kid like Zohakuten

Sekido stresses about if she is learning correctly and all of that toddler stuff

Karaku and Urogi help around the house more often to relieve some tiny stress off of Sekido’s shoulders

Sekido legit does not let her out of his sight, he’s so scared that she is going to stumble and end up hurting herself

karaku and urogi are often too careless with her but she likes it

they are the fun brothers

Zohakuten has been trying to tell her that she isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend in toddler language

it isn’t really working

aizetsu will sing her to sleep and read her bedtime stories

takes her out on bunny cafe dates

teaches her about animals and tries to get her to babble out the words

she’s doing great

aizetsu holds her a lot and talks to her a lot

if she gets hurt, aizetsu immediately goes to her, babying her and asking if she is okay

aizetsu is probably her favorite brother

for halloween, she was a queen bee like dressed up as an actual bee and the brothers dressed up as bees as well and carried her around

zohakuten rather drown than go out dressed as a bee again

they try to make her go outside as much as possible

but it’s a household filled with boys

90% of the time they are playing video games

she has tried to play before but all she did was smash the control buttons w her hands and Karaku and Urogi thought it was so cute

Karaku has an instagram highlight of just her in sunglasses

she was obsessed with frozen and would just babble the words when the songs came on

urogi recorded her and put let it go on and then edited it to make it look like she was actually singing the words

sekido dresses her up

he enjoys picking out outfits for her and also doing her hair but gets mad if she has a tender head and cries

that’s when Aizetsu comes in to soothe her crying

Urogi plays hide and seek with her and also does this thing called the airplane (if y’all ain’t ever done this before you didn’t have a childhood, jk me too)

he lays on his back and then he puts her on his feet, holding onto her hands and lifts her up so it’s like she is flying

she loves it

she loves being outdoors and urogi loves being outside too so urogi will take her on hikes with him

obviously he is carrying her half the time

had to stop her from eating a worm one time

karaku sets up playdates for her

gets sad though because hanging out with them should be enough but sekido said it was important for her to make friends to develop social skills

karaku and aizetsu will color with her

urogi will join if he can focus long enough

if she starts crying, all hell breaks loose because who tf hurt their little sister?

turns out that her crayon broke

karaku has tried to teach her curse words only to get yelled at by Sekido

Zohakuten is extremely gentle with her

he’s afraid of hurting her

Rui loves her and gives Zohakuten some tips for sisters because he has a lot

Zohakuten found out that she likes it when he bounces her on his leg and he’s been doing it ever since

she has yanked his hair several times and dragged him

Zohakuten won’t be mad at her tho cuz she is a toddler

Rui offers to babysit if the brothers are busy

Zohakuten also gets jealous if she gives the other brothers attention

all of them get jealous

they get extremely protective over her

Especially SEKIDO and ZOHAKUTEN

oh hell no

zohakuten and sekido would kill for her

just wait until she is a teenager…

If you pick your ship only because you don’t like a character *cough* Elain *cough* then honestly what’s the point? You can like the idea of two people being endgame while respecting and admiring other characters..

People don’t like Elain because she’s boring.. really? Let’s see:

She killed the king of Hybern. Literally. She SAVED Cassian and Nesta.

Feyre distinctly recalls Elain saving money to buy her paints. Feyre never bought any for herself. ELAIN did. Knowing Feyre would not give herself that joy.

When Feyre goes to the estate, Nesta immediately says no to having the meeting there. ELAIN speaks up and says that Feyre gave for years and years and If she needs this they need to help her. She acknowledges how they let her down. She is the one who gets the people that work there out of the house.

Elain is the one who thought of the plan to go to Graysen and ask him to house the humans.

She was the one kicking the hounds off of Azriel’s back. She was the one who screamed to the girl at the camp to grab on and actually physically grabbed her as well.

fucking AMREN has said countless times to NOT underestimate her

She finds the Suriel for Feyre

She helps the people of Velaris rebuild

She says the queens can burn in hell when they don’t give the book to the IC

she TOTALLY downplays herself when going to the court of nightmares. You think the girl who is rumoured to be beautiful (this is said by Eris in ACOWAR and he actually does look at her that night too) looks bad in black? She knew the plan was to literally pimp out Nesta to get Eris in deep, why would she try and steal the show? Eris literally says Nesta outshines her that night.. hm, so she doesn’t always? Like it was on purpose

she begins to volunteer to help. Just because she is still stifled doesn’t mean she is unwilling.

She gives a complete play by play of Nesta stealing away a lords attention by dancing just because a girl was mean to her. She describes it in such detail and just says at the end “I just observed”… like?? How is that not interesting that she sees everything

Cassian says that Nesta is wrong that Elain is a loyal dog and that she sees everything Nesta does and knows why. She is understanding.

And this is just off the top of my head. There is more. And we know there is because SJM specifically wrote a Feysand bonus chapter to highlight that Elain is underestimated. Even by her siblings. She is not a warrior or a leader, but she is SOMETHING. And saying she doesn’t deserve Azriel just because we have only had snippets of her in the series is wrong. Yes, I am leaning towards Eriel, but that doesn’t mean I diminish Lucien and Gwyn just so my ship floats. Gwyn and Lucien are fantastic characters. They deserve the BEST. They deserve to be chosen and not second picks. Will they get that knowing that Azriel and Elain literally want each other? No, they will not. And that’s the biggest thing. Why would I want Gwyn, who went through so much, and persevered to get a necklace that was completely made in terms of the likeness of another? Why would I want her to, tbh, be 3rd choice? Gwyn deserves to be with someone who picks her first. Low key she deserves someone like Tarquin. She’s part nymph, how nice would it be to be somewhere warm and AWAY from the place that reminds you of all of your trauma? And to be with a man that even Feyre said would be easy to love.. I’m not even shipping that to take away from her and Azriel. I’m just giving an example of what she DESERVES. And if you’re saying she deserves Azriel’s gift to Elain and literally a guy who was thinking about how he would beg for another girls coochie, then you don’t care about her. You only care about Azriel. And you only care because you hate Elain. The same goes for Lucien. He watched the women he loves be killed by his father and was run out of his court, only to be kicked out of his home at spring court. He finally finds refuge with the band of exiles. Why would I not want him to be happy to fit my own believes in Eriel? If the mating bond is rejected I want it to be mutual. I want Lucien to get what he wants too. Not just Elain. Not just Azriel. Lucien deserves what he wants too.

Bottom line: you can ship who you want as long as you genuinely do it because you think that is what the character deserves. Not because you think another does not.
